Exploring Amazing View, Impossible Beach Access! left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Amazing View, Impossible Beach Access! was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my South Kuta plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Amazing View, Impossible Beach Access! painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Beautiful spot by the ocean. You feel part of the cliffside and isolated from the hustle and bustle of the town, which is a really cool experience! The view in the morning of the waves and surfers is incredible! A couple things to be keep in mind: * The walk down to the place is down a thin path and quite steep, so it’s best for people in decent fitness and with minimal luggage. * The road from the Airbnb is about a 15min walk down to the main road and there are no lights or sidewalk so it’s best to get a Grab car or scooter to/from the main street at night. * The bathroom is not attached to the bedroom like the description suggests but is partially outdoors and so it can be quite humid and get some bugs in the bathroom. Overall it was a great and unique stay and would recommend to others!

Beautiful place to stay, I had a great time! Gorgeous view. It is quite a trek up and down the stairs, but worth it for the view from your room.

No doubt, beautiful breath taking views, super clean and a very unique place to stay! The owner/manger, Nanda, was very attentive, helpful and kind. We enjoyed the 4 nights we had here and could literally stare out at the ocean all day. The beach is hit or miss when it comes to swimming, you just have to be aware of low and high tide. My only minor gripe is that there was construction going on right in front of us on the rooftop of another villa being built, so we did not have complete privacy a few times when we were outside in the living area, as the workers were literally right there. Also note that there is no restaurant or warung nearby (that doesn't require the trek up/down the stairs). The Rock N' Reef neighbor villa will only serve their own guests at their cafe, so we were turned away (surprising since we are good paying customers and they were not busy). The closest place is up the stairs at the Village Bali, or on the main road which is a 10-15min trek (it's a work-out).

An outstanding Airbnb with a truly one of a kind view looking out over the ocean. The view from sunup to sundown is magical and the sound of the waves even at nighttime is very calming. We debated staying here versus another villa that was bigger and with a private pool and no view, and we are so happy we chose this one instead. The bathroom is also very cool and feels like you are in a cave. The bedroom is perfectly adequate and cool for sleeping and a surprising amount of space for suitcases. The walk to the apartment is a bit difficult but you get used to it after a day and they offer porter services for your suitcases which was very kind and convenient. There is access down the stairs to a beach with very cool rocks and lots of surfers to watch. A 10/10 stay and could not recommend it more.

Beautiful location. The view alone makes the place amazing! Definitely off the beaten path and those steps really are steep- take advantage of their porter service and avoid larger suitcases because what goes down must come back up! The bathroom is very cool but pretty much outside so expect to see little ants crawling up the cave wall here or there while you shower but that’s to be expected! There is a mini fridge and purified water however it was close to empty when we were there. Purni was VERY helpful when our flight got in before checkin and allowed us to store our bags at their sister location while we waited. Lastly, their recommended driver is fantastic! Great driver and perfect airport pickup.

We had a great stay! The villa is very private and has excellent access to the beach, which was a huge plus. The host was kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout our stay, and really did try to help with any concerns we had. The waves were absolutely firing while we were there, making it an awesome spot if you enjoy watching or surfing. The view is already beautiful, but with a little trimming of the vegetation in front of the villa, it would be absolutely amazing. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The view was even better than I imagined! Great location…if you struggle with steep steps going up and down may present a problem (especially with luggage) but the views are well worth it I loved the visiting monkeys in the morning, my friend did not 😜 the property was very clean and the bed comfortable

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this accommodation. The view is absolutely breathtaking and one of the highlights of our trip. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room nice and cool, and the refrigerator also worked very well. The only small downside was that the shower pressure was a bit low. However, we expected this due to the unique location right on the cliffs with such an amazing view, so it was not a problem for us at all. The accommodation can be a little difficult to find the first time, so I would recommend accepting the offer of help with your luggage to make sure you arrive at the right place straight away. We parked our scooters at the Village parking area. There is a gravel area opposite the small hut where parking was no problem at all. The scooters were perfectly safe there, and although it meant walking a few extra meters, it was absolutely fine. Thank you for the great hospitality and the unforgettable stay!

The view! The best! Worth the steps. Looking at the sunset without needing to leave the villa. Good for surfers and honeymooners as the villa is super romantic and pretty! Love love love everything about it.

A mini climb to the bnb but the seaview was breathtaking. Direct quiet beach access as well. Recommended for backpackers who dont mind the climb in and out of the house.

This is our second visit to Ulunia and we had another amazing stay. It is such a unique and beautiful spot, the view is just stunning and the apartment provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. Handy extras were the filtered water in the room and the ceiling fan (room Bawah) in the outdoor area, which makes all the difference during those warm evenings and hot humid afternoons. The housekeeping staff were really helpful in getting our bags to and from the room and keeping everything in order during our stay - thank you! Overall, a beautiful spot, great staff and a very accommodating host.

Our stay here was lovely - the view is unbeatable, we really loved watching the sunset from here. The walk down wasn’t too bad either ☺️

Beautiful space on the edge of the ocean cliffs. A little bit of a physical trek to get to but worth every step!

The ocean views were spectacular! We could watch the surfers and waves all day. It was so easy to walk down the stairs and jump straight into the ocean. Loved waking up, and having a coffee watching the view and at night watching the sunset with a beer. Absolutely loved staying here and made the Uluwatu experience so special and unique!

Great stay!! Incredible views

Great place in an amazing location. As many have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs, but it was well worth being outside of the traffic and crowds of the main drag. It was a bit challenging to find the exact place for drop off, but Sari was very helpful with our luggage and a ready smile. Extraordinary views, comfortable bed and bonus water filter machine.

Stunning cliff side accommodation and hands down one of the most memorable Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The ocean view is breathtaking, the balcony is lovely, the bathroom feels like you’re in a cave! Stunning design with a comfortable room. That being said there are a few things to note Pros: - Honestly one of the most stunning Airbnbs at a pretty affordable price - Location is great with many beaches and restaurants nearby - Good A/C and drinking water dispenser - Porter service was great for luggage Cons: - You need to climb up/down several steep stairs to get to the place which means it’s not the most accessible. - Blinds are very thin which means the room gets really bright early in the morning - you might get the odd visitor 🐸 Nevertheless on the balance it’s an amazing place that we highly recommend!

I'm definitely coming back to Uluwatu again, and when I do, Ulunia is a must for my staycation. Thank you for the best sunset picture that will remain in my mind because of your lovely private view.

Beautiful view and access to surf; super kind, responsive host!

The view and the sounds of the sea are amazing! The beach is not always available but the host provided me with information about the tides. I really enjoyed staying here, I wish I could have stayed longer. And the personal (the girl) who brought the suitcase up, should get a raise. She is very small and she carried the heavy suitcase up on her head all the stairs.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The open space is beautifully designed, with stunning views of the ocean that made it feel like a true getaway. The location is a bit secluded, so be prepared for a little walk down some stairs, but the views definitely make it worth it. The staff was incredibly helpful, assisting with our luggage both on arrival and departure, which was much appreciated. One thing to note is that you’ll need a scooter to get into town, but it’s a great way to explore the area. I also really appreciated that they provided fresh towels during our stay—it’s those little touches that made a difference. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful views and great service.

Beautiful spot, unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed. We’re initial electrical issues but host resolved them in a timely and efficient manner. Would 100% recommend to a friend.

Had a great stay at Ulunia.

This is a beautiful place tucked away with sounds of the ocean and a beautiful view. It's just a little hard to get to, and you have to know that you will be going up and down steep stairs in order to get to the unit. With that said, Ulunia's team is very helpful and communicative and will help you take your luggage up and down if necessary. The sounds of the ocean made me sleep so deeply, and I loved waking up with the bright sunlight. It felt like my little paradise. The wifi was good, the AC was strong, and the place was clean and there was a filtered water dispenser inside the room. Lastly, you will need to call Gojek or Grab for a moto to get to the street, or walk about 15 minutes from the place. It's not a problem though, as long as it's not raining. I would book this place again, now I know what to expect!

Ulunias was probably the most beautiful airbnb i've ever stayed in. Absolutely beautiful views, the bathroom is so beautiful- the wall is literally the side of the mountain. The bed is comfortable, balcony is amazing and so peaceful. The stairs are steep- but Ulunia is very helpful and her staff helps with your luggage. 100% recommend!

The views of the ocean at this place were amazing! Do yourself a favour and watch the sunset from the balcony. Purni was an excellent host, great communication and helped us organise transport from the airport and scooter hire while in Uluwatu. She also met us and helped with our bags and check in when we arrived despite it being around midnight! It wasn’t a problem for us, but the stairs down to the villa are quite steep, so if you’re older or struggle with that kind of thing I wouldn’t suggest staying here. But otherwise, they weren’t too bad and 100% worth it!

I stayed for one night there, the place is very clean but the main highlight is location! it’s built in a cliff overlooking the ocean. The host was very responsive and appreciate that she catered for the change in my check in time as I arrived in Uluwatu very later.

I appreciate that they provide porter to assist us with the luggage and the staffs are nice, helpful and friendly. It's a recommended place, for sure :)

the appartment in itself is a little basic. it has everything you need but don't expect loads of room. the main selling point here is the view and that will not let you down!

Worth every penny!! This place is jaw dropping, i wished i spent more nights there. Host was really thoughtful as well, after knowing that im spending my birthday at the place. They prepared a cake for me, which is going way beyond what they have to. I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH!!!

Stunning. Stayed here as our last stop around Bali. Breathtaking views. There are a number of steps to reach it but if you’ve done other parts of Bali you learn to realise it’s part of the geography of the island. The beach is a few more steps down but is so private, just a few other places and surfers use it. The room is cosy and modern and really well laid out, we loved it. It was very different to a pool villa we’d had for the rest of our trip. You can get grabs from the top of the steps and it’s walkable to restaurants if not, loved the stay and loved Uluwatu. This is the most incredible Airbnb I have ever stayed in. It is so beautiful. Nestled into the cliff - incredible views. I love that the shower is basically just the cliff on one side. Perfect for a special getaway or a honeymoon. If you don’t mind a few stews and want a special experience - this place is for you

Amazing little cliff apartment with the most insane views. Yup, the stairs are steep, but it was worth it. There’s no amenities or food close, but we didn’t care. You can get food delivered to the top, or head to one of the many restaurants nearby! We loved it.

What a great place on the cliff overlooking the ocean. Waking up to the sounds and sights of the ocean was an incredible experience. While there are stairs, they are not intimidating at all—nothing too serious. It's worth noting that there are monkeys in the area; one day, they came onto our balcony, but we managed to close ourselves in the room, and it was fun to watch them from inside. Overall, it's a very nice place.

My husband and I absolutely loved Uluwatu and this apartment! We almost stayed in Nusa Dua and I’m so glad we didn’t. If you surf, it’s a MUST stay as you’ll be able to walk right out. We are not surfers but we loved our 5 nights and didn’t want to leave. To summarize: great Uluwatu location, great airbnb hosts, exceptional views & sunsets, and a very adventurous, unique apartment that you’ll never forget. It’s on Impossible Beach cliffside and there are several accommodations along the path (with 2 Ulunia rooms I believe). We were in the bottom one called Ulunia Bawah that had the patio couch which was perfection. The apt is right above Rock N Reef. Highlights: -sunset each night on the porch was a 10/10 & the best part. We had a direct line of sight to sun -watching surfers from our porch every day -ocean sounds & spectacular views Things to note: stair reviews are accurate - so worth it. Room is small, be prepared if you packed a big suitcase, monkeys came most morning

We spent 6 nights here as our honeymoon pad after getting married near by. It was wonderful sitting outside on the day bed with the fan on and the shade positioned just right, watching the surfing and being able to grab our boards and go down the stairs to the beach and paddle straight out to the Impossibles reef break - amazing! Staff were super friendly, room cleaned every day, they helped us with transfers and also scooter hire and food recommendations making everything easier! There is filtered water and a little fridge in the room which was super helpful to keep drinks cool. They even carried our bags down and up the stairs on check in and check out. A lovely cosy little place to stay for a couple like us who love to surf and relax and aren’t bothered by a bit of a thigh work out going up the stairs!! I’d highly recommend to surfing couples especially. Thanks to the whole team for looking after us so well!

Really nice, such a beautiful place

The apartment was beautiful and clean and in an absolutely amazing spot. We were lucky to be right on the beach, so we could wake up every morning and walk on the beach and then fall asleep to the sound of the waves every night. We were warned about the monkeys in the area, but we didn't have a single problem the entire stay. The only negative was the number of steps to get down to the apartment, but honestly, we got used to it in a couple of days and once at the top of the steps it was only a 7-10 min walk into town where there are several amazing restaurants and breakfast cafes. The staff was incredibly helpful...we communicated through via the app and they answered all of our questions within a couple of hours for anything to do with cleaning or even local recommendations. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends!!!

We had an amazing stay in the Ulunia Bawah room. The ocean view and location are breathtaking and very special. The villa is perfect for two people and was clean and beautifully presented with a super comfy bed and day bed. Purni is an incredible host and is very helpful, kind and easy to communicate with. She even arranged a scooter to ready on our arrival to make it easy for us! The porters and other staff are also wonderful. Thank you again for such a lovely time, we will be back! 😊

We hebben geweldige tijd gehad bij Ulunia. Wakker worden met de geluiden en het uitzicht van de zee het kon niet beter. Purni de host was ook erg behulpzaam en stond voor je klaar als het nodig was. Dikke aanrader. Hou er alleen rekening mee dat je goed ter been bent want het is wel even klimmen!

This place is perfect if you’re looking for an affordable cliff side apartment in uluwatu with awesome views! The bed was comfortable, the views were amazing, and the location worked out great for us. Other reviews mentioned ac not working or water tasting salty. This was not the case for us- the ac blasts, and the drinking water was great. Oh! and Purni was easy to communicate with and made sure our room was cleaned every day!

It’s a very very nice home with great view. Sometimes we just laid there watching the surfers. There are some stairs but it’s okay, the host was very helpful with the luggage and also helped us with the scooter rental. There are lights all the way to the house at night. And also free packing for our scooter. Sometimes there were some ants but it’s normal for a place that close to nature, so we really didn’t mind. We had a great time there and wishing to come back.

We had the best experience! The description was unclear so let me tell you: have driver take you to the entrance of Anantara Resort, from there you will walk down the path straight ahead, down 75 steep steps to the entrance of the room. If you let staff know your arrival time they will carry all your bags for you, because they are amazing people and plan to tip the wonderful staff! You can also rent scooter on the same road right before the resort for a great price and very convenient location to the room. Many good food options right outside the street, 5 min scooter ride. The room is so well kept I would believe we were the first guests ever! The bathroom is so cool, with natural features. There was no hot water, however Bali is the last place that is a problem, & it didn’t bother us! You can go down to the beach during low tide. The AC is wonderfully powerful & the bed very cozy. Not the owners fault but lots of ants & centipedes inside so we did love our bug net to sleep in!

We stayed here a couple of nights and it was beautiful to wake to the sound of the ocean. Yes, there are stairs (quite deep too, so not your standard height), so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have mobility issues, but other than that they are pretty easy to get up and down. There was a slight mishap where my clothing got wet from rain which leaked through the windows into my suitcase, no big deal, but Purni quickly rectified the situation and had all my washing taken to the laundry. Thank you for having us. Beautiful views and so close to everything. Would highly recommend this place to all.

I’ll start with the views. Without a doubt the best views of anyplace I’ve ever stayed. Complete 180° views of Impossibles reef break. You’ll lose yourself in the view. I certainly did. Beach access - a few stairs down from the villa you’ll find a secluded beach with crystal clear water perfect for snorkelling, swimming or surfing. The host quickly organised me a surfboard and I was lucky enough to spend the day surfing perfect waves. I really can’t thank him enough for going out of his way to organise a board for me. The villa - the layout is fantastic. The bedroom inside. The rest undercover outside allowing you to take full advantage of the views. As other reviews and listing described, you need to walk up and down some stairs to get to the villa. But it’s well worth it. You can organise porters to assist with bags. I would consider myself somewhat well travelled, and can confidently say this is my favourite place I’ve ever stayed. Only negative - couldn’t stay longer.

The most beautiful view. Every moment looking out over the water was magical. From watching the locals in the early hours fish, sunrise, the surfers, sunset and the fishing boats at night. The bed was comfortable and the location is perfect. About 50 stairs to get to the property on the cliff and then a few more to get to the beach but we did it a couple of times a day with no issue. I wouldn’t suggest staying here if you have mobility issues. The staff were amazing. House keeping daily and filtered water machine in the villa. Would suggest accepting the offer of a porter with your luggage. Best way to get around is by scooter, and the staff kindly organised one for hire for us which was there and ready on arrival. Would stay again!

Our stay at Ulunia’s place was absolutely incredible. The view is stunning, the design and layout of the place felt modern yet an old charm remained. It felt cozy and homey but also expansive and open. We originally planned on staying just three nights but extended our trip, twice, because we didn’t want to leave! One of my favorite parts was sitting out on the day bed at night, listening to the ocean, and watching the lights on the fishing boats Bob on the water, as if they were lanterns lighting up the sea. Nanda and Purni, our hosts, we’re very kind, generous, present, and available whenever we needed anything. We will definitely be back for another stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a stunning room perched right in front of the sea, and I must say, it lived up to every expectation set by the pictures. The view was nothing short of amazing; there's something truly magical about waking up to the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore. The room was just the right size for two people, cozy and comfortable. However, it's important to note that the room is situated on a cliff, and accessing it involves navigating approximately 70 steps (don’t worry for the bags, they will find a porter to help you with your luggage in case you need it). So, if you or your companions have any mobility issues, this might not be the ideal choice. For everyone else, this villa offers an unforgettable seaside experience that's worth every step.
