Exploring Ayu Hill Bungalows, Stay in The Quiet Hill View left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Ayu Hill Bungalows, Stay in The Quiet Hill View was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Nusa Penida plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Ayu Hill Bungalows, Stay in The Quiet Hill View painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Sie Inhaber waren sehr freundlich und die Aussicht wirklich sehr schön. Um in dieser Unterkunft zu wohnen muss man aber ein echter Insektenfreund sein. Ein Teil der Decke im Bad ist offen, wodurch leicht verschiedenste Insekten rein kommen. Ein paar Kakerlaken, die sogar ihren Weg in das Schlafzimmer fanden und eine die meine Frau angesprungen hat. 😅 Käfer waren ab Abends überall auf dem Badezimmer Boden verteilt, sodass man immer aufpassen musste das man keinen zertritt. Die Handtücher haben auch nicht mehr ganz frisch gerochen. Alles in allem war es zwar nicht das passende für uns, aber die Aussicht war wirklich nicht zu toppen.

kilátás valóban gyönyörű volt, teljesen olyan, mint a képeken. Viszont a fürdőszobában kellemetlen szag volt, és a szobában is elég sok hangyával találkoztam. Azt is érdemes figyelembe venni, hogy ha valaki nem tud robogót vezetni, nem feltétlenül ajánlanám ezt a helyet, mivel itt nem működik a Grab vagy a Gojek, és a helyiek által kínált fuvarok általában jóval drágábbak, mint Balin. Ettől függetlenül ár-érték arányban szerintem tökéletes választás volt, ráadásul mindenki nagyon kedves és segítőkész volt velem.

Lovely place with stunning views, especially the sunrise. However, you must be able to ride a scooter or love walking for kilometers (like me!) should you decide to stay here.

Good place to stay for the cost but the place we stayed in didn’t match the photos. We must have stayed in one of the older cabins.

Beautiful stay in the mountains. Great sunrise views straight out of your villa. Peaceful bird sounds in the valley. A little way out, but plenty of cars around the island and Made really helpful to take you to restaurants and also option for food delivery. They have a lovely dog there that was the cutest! Also the bathrooms are so lovely. Had a memorable stay in Nisa Penida!

Sehr idylisch mit der Sicht auf die Berge. Hängekorb konnte nicht mehr benützt werden ansonsten herziger und ruhiger Ort. Man muss sich einfach bewusst sein, das wenn man nicht dort isst, sondern am Strand ist es ein langer und dunkler Weg nachhause.

Overall enjoyed our stay at the bungalows, the setting is gorgeous overlooking the valleys of Nusa Penida. There’s was some wildlife in our room when we arrived, a large gecko, but this was dealt with very swiftly by the hosts and is almost to be expected when you’re staying in the jungle! The hosts were fantastic, very responsive and very friendly. Easy and cheap to rent a scooter from the bungalows, which is essential for getting around the local area. Breakfast was brilliant and is delivered to you room by the hosts. The bungalow we stayed in was in a bit of disrepair and does not have a TV in the room as the pictures showed but overall for the price this is a good place to stay.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön im Jungle gelegen. Das Zimmer und das Frühstück ist sehr einfach gehalten. Dafür sind die Mitarbeiter umso freundlicher und total hilfsbereit.

Genel manada konaklamadan memnun kaldık ama mükemmel değildi. Gecenin bir vakti odadaki geckonun sesinden uyandık. Kaldığımız süre boyunca temizliğe gelinmedi (belki bizim istememiz gerekiyordu). Kahvaltıyı geliştirmeleri lazım. Konum olarak gözde yerlere genelde 10-20 dk motorsiklet uzaklığında. Akşamları bir yerden geleneksel müzik geliyordu. Bu bazen rahatsız edici oldu.

Overall a good place for the value. The bungalows are clean with AC and decent size. Bathroom is just so so. Breakfast is not good, go to restaurant in town. The property and views are really nice with only a 10 minute ride down the hill to the beach and restaurants. I recommend renting a scooter from the property to get around otherwise it can be more difficult getting around. The property had scooters for rent easily and can also help you plan your excursions. Great stay for the value! Don’t expect luxury though.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per 4 giorni, luogo immerso nella natura oasi di pace e relax, persone gentilissime e sempre a disposizione. Ci hanno consigliato di visitare luoghi fantastici dove stare rilassarci. Sicuramente ritorneremo da loro nel nostro prossimo viaggio.

Made and his family will host you at their beautiful location on top of a hill. The view from this place is amazing, and the hospitality even more amazing. They truly tend to all needs. The place is not really accessible by foot, you’ll need either a scooter or car to get to and from there. It’s relatively close to the island’s west coast attractions and located close enough to the main road that takes you to both the east and west side. The view and the warm hosts alone make this a great stay!

The balcony is another level. Magnicificent rice fields, clear sky with sunset, soothing sound of the river flow. Wish could stay for a couple of more days.

Nous avons passé 3 nuits ici et nous avons été ravies, le logement est situé dans un endroit paisible tout en restant accessible. Nous avons pu loué un scooter sur les lieux facilement. Malheureusement nous avons dut écourté notre séjour mais l'hôte a été à l'écoute et a accepté la modification de notre séjour. Je recommande vivement ce logement merci au staff présent sur les lieux toujours disponible et accueillant ᴗ̈

Awesome place to stay at when visiting Nusa Penida. A scenic place a little out of the way in the hills, but with easy access to all west side locations. Bungalow are squeaky clean and look even better than pictures. Good communication, there was a slight mishap regarding snorkeling trip to manta point, but Made was quick to sort it out and everything went even better than expected in the end. Easy recommend.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb in Bali. The place was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The location was convenient, close to popular spots and easy to access. The host was friendly and responsive, always ready to help with any questions or requests. Overall it was a pleasant and relaxing experience and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Bali.

My usual go to accommodation for long term stays on Nusa Penida was fully booked already, so I ended up at Ayu Hills - so happy I did!!!! Made and his team are the perfect hosts and go out of their way to satisfy all their guests needs.. seriously, if there ever was an AirBnB deserving of 5/5 starts it is this one - terima kasih, see you in 3 weeks when I’m back already and yes: I can’t wait!

We really enjoyed our stay at AyuHill with Made. The location is very beautiful located on a hill on Nusa Penida. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful. The host and his wife are very nice and incredibly helpful. They provided us with pick-up, drop-off, scooter rental, food delivery and breakfast room service. Can only recommend even though we were very unlucky with the weather we had a very good time.

One of the best places I’ve been! Felt home immadiately. The room is huge, with a private bathroom, and very comfortable beds. The view is breathtaking and the surroundings are so peaceful. The host is a friendly local family with the biggest smile. Highly recommend this place to anyone! Also they have breakfast and you can rent scooter, and they organize snorkel trips too!

Having travelled around Bali this is the best Airbnb we stayed in and it’s not close. Perfect WiFi, TV with Netflix and more, a massive comfy bed, peaceful/ pleasantly remote, incredible views, can order fantastic takeout at low prices straight to your room, cooked breakfast at low prices also straight to your room. Very generous and kind host family. Of course air conditioning. Air is much less polluted. You can’t fault it. All this at a very budget friendly price. This place has fantastic ratings for a reason. Pleasure to write this review.

These cottages are placed in a gorgeous spot at the top of a mountain, surrounded by so much green abundance, it's perfect for anyone who wants to get away from the noise and tourist bustle, and truly recharge their natural energies. The place is clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. Made is incredibly responsive, helpful and aaccommodating, as is his very sweet and helpful staff. If you can drive a scooter then getting around for whatever you need is no issue, otherwise you're dependent on pricy drivers and food delivery. If you're sensitive to sounds at night or to lizards this is probably not the place. I stayed in the rainy season which I wouldn't recommend because you can get stuck indoors and the smell can be damp, the animal noises are louder, and there are more mosquitoes. But Made is always ready with a smile and anything you ask for is arranged immediately, I really appreciate my stay here, it was exactly what I needed.

Hermoso lugar, tranquilo, limpio, sin ruidos de motos ni de gente. la habitación y baño son muy amplios limpios y cómodo. Totalmente recomendable. Tienen un perro divino siempre te saluda, no me gustó las aves en jaulas, es triste verlas encerradas.

Made à été génial durant tout notre séjour, il nous a même aider pour des problèmes de santé, et nous également conseillé sur les lieux à visiter sur l'île et des excursions. Great place and very friendly host but the location is very far from the main city, my bad, should have been more careful while booking. But great location if you can drive a scooty on the hills or you don’t mind spending extra cash on the cab.

Schöne Unterkunft mit Blick ins Grüne und tolle Sonnenaufgänge. Zimmer mit Klima aber leider keinem Mückennetz. Nur mit dem Roller/ Taxi zu erreichen, dafür aber ruhig.

Ayu Hill ist ein Ort, an dem ich gerne länger Zeig verbracht hätte. Das Bungalow ist sauber und schön eingerichtet. Das Highlight ist der grosse Garten mit einem genialen Ausblick (Meer, Vulkan Agung, Hügellandschaft). Ein Sonnenaufgang dort ist ein Must See. Ausserdem bietet das Airbnb verschiedene Angebote (schnorcheln, Tour für Sehenswürdigkeiten, Food Delivery etc.). Das war sehr praktisch und uns wurde immer sehr schnell geholfen. Das Schnorcheln würde ich anderswo machen, auch wenn es womöglich der tiefste Preis ist, denn man in der Gegend findet. Das Boot war sehr sehr klein, und konnte die Wellen kaum bewältigen. Ich bin schon öfters schnorcheln gegangen, aber dieser Ausflug war ein einziger Horrortrip. Dafür konnte das Airbnb aber nichts. Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich bombastisch. Wenn die Möglichkeit besteht, würde ich gerne wiederkommen und für längere Zeit bleiben.

The place was very nice. The location is a bit difficult to get to, so you definitely need to know how to ride a motorbike as it is not walking distance to restaurants. The host was really friendly, and very helpful with solving some of problems we came across during our stay. All in all, definitely recommend this place as it is worth the price.

I mean, the best place I’ve been since I’m in Bali ! If you want nature, calm, beautiful view, a wonderful sunrise,… please go to this place ! Made was the perfect host, he provide your tickets for the boat, you have a welcome drink, a nice breakfast ! And a lot of different activities ! Yeah, You are a little bit far from the center but it worth it :) You have a little restaurant call The terrasse with also a beautiful view and really nice menu. If you are like me, planning your trip day after day, just rent a scooter in Nusa penida harbour, go to this place and you are free to enjoy every bit of the island ! Our best stay in Penida. The view ist absolutely stunning. For that price absolutely worth it and also good breakfast. You are a little bit of the shot, but if you want a quiet place for a day the chill out. This is it.

Ayu Hill Bungalows was my favourite stay in over three months of travelling around Southeast Asia! The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean, the breakfast was delicious and served on our private patio overlooking the beautiful garden and valley! I would recommend Ayu Hill Bungalows to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay on Nusa Penida!

Der Aufenthalt bei Made war sehr gut. Wir fühlten uns gleich wie daheim. Sie hat uns leckeres Frühstück gemacht. Und immer sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und war tipptopp. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen.

Just 10mins up the hill from the main road at the north of the island this place is just perfect! Beautiful space, comfortable and clean stay, and the most happiest/fun and easy going host. Do not miss the sunrise from the swing - worth waking up at 6am once!

Beautiful bungalows off the main beach section of Nusa Penida. Very timely and responsive host- Made and Ayu are so sweet and friendly. I didn't feel comfortable driving a scooter around the island, anytime I asked them for a ride or to pick me up they agreed instantly. There wasn't a time I felt stuck. Made also arranged for me to be picked up at the ferry when I inquired about it. His laugh is infectious and place is beautiful and clean. Highly recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay at Ayu Hill Bungalows! The location is absolutely beautiful, tucked away in the serene hills, but still has amazing access to all the sights around the island. Made and the rest of the staff was incredibly kind and helpful with any questions we had. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone we meet. Hopefully we will be back one day!

Unser Aufenthalt entsprach voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen. Es gab morgens ein leckeres Frühstück und man konnte den Sonnenaufgang genießen. Wir konnten bei Made einen Roller mieten und andere Aktivitäten. Er hat uns auch dabei geholfen ein Ticket für die Weiterreise zu organisieren. Wir hatten keine Probleme mit Insekten oder ähnlichem. Wir waren super zufrieden mit der Unterkunft und dem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.

This place is the best I visited from all my stays in bali as it was very well in my budget and the surroundings were so natural it was situated in hill and the owner was so responsive I had my Air conditioner not working while I checked in he immediately changed my room and give me new one where all was fine I would definately recommend this place to everyone visiting nusa penida as you can explore east nusa penida easily from here also the vibes are completely different also if you are vegan-vegetarian then "Soul the vegan - kitchen" restaurant is nearby to this place which makes it more easy to select this Airbnb

We had a really pleasant stay at the Bungalows in Ayu Hill. Made always helped when something was needed. The only thing one should be aware of is, that you will be close to the forest and therefore you will have quite some insects and geckos around. Otherwise we hade a super nice stay there!

Beautiful view of the distant ocean and local hills. Very peaceful property. Kadek and Made are very nice hosts. Breakfast was simple and enough to get you going. They had a scooter for us to rent for 75k a day which was helpful. Getting around the island was easy from there…10 min to the north side of the island where restaurants and stores may be found. Simple accommodations, but comfortable. Wi-fi was good for working on Zoom video meetings and a high data software program. Stayed 4 nights with no internet issues even during a big rainstorm. Drinking water was provided. Overall, we’d recommend! :-)

Ayu Hill is one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed! An incredible location, super beautiful natural surroundings, well designed and cozy bungalows for the stay, good WiFi and nice hot showers, and Made and everyone there makes you feel so incredibly at home and welcome :) I would highly recommend for a stay in Penida - whether a short stay or for even for longer. An absolutely incredible value for the price! They are also building a restaurant on site, so it will be even better equipped in the months ahead. Can’t recommend Ayu Hill enough, fora nice peaceful place to stay in Penida - connected to the nature of the hills and views of the sea below, while just a short drive from many main areas of Penida.

Absolutely wonderful! These folks are so lovely and warm. Their hospitality is unmatched. The bungalows are so cool and clean. The property is a lush, quiet paradise. The property is away from all the hustle and bustle but still close to drive to eat close by. We rented a scooter from them and it was a great experience as well. Highly recommend Ayu Hill!

Die Unterkunft liegt etwa 10-15 Minuten mit dem Roller , vom Hafen weg. Es ist wirklich super schön mit tollen Bungalows . Das Bad schaut mit den Pflanzen top aus , ist nur nicht ganz sauber wie auf den Bildern. Aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist Top und sehr zu empfehlen wenn ihr einfach eure Ruhe braucht. Vor Ort kann man auch essen und was trinken bestellen und auch einen Roller mieten und sich das Getümmel am Hafen ersparen. Die Inhaber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

I have many words to say about Made and his place, but if you get the chance to stay here, please do it! This location was a bit far from everything but that’s what made it so peaceful and wonderful. I loved the gardens everywhere (even the little one in the bathroom!), the ability to wake up with a cup of coffee and see the sunrise, and the general feel of the place. The room was well-kept, very clean, was perfect for my needs, and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in a while. Breakfast was very good as well, and they even had a menu available for other meals during the day which they picked up and delivered to you. Made was a great host as well. He was quick to respond, always had a smile on his face, was kind and very personable. He even gave me a crash course on how to ride a scooter, and offered one of his friends to take me around (which was another fantastic experience in and of itself). I could keep going with how much I enjoyed my stay here, and I wish I could have spent more time in this quiet escape, but again, you won’t be disappointed with Ayu Hill Bungalows and Made as the host.

Beautiful place. It's in the jungle and far from the noise of the main road, it's also on a hill and if you wake.up.early you can see nice sunrises. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good and they bring it to you in your patio. The room was clean and very spacious. The bed is very comfy.

My wife and I stayed at the bungalows for our honeymoon. The room was simple, but nice. The sunrise views were stunning and the grounds were a serene place to start the day. Breakfast was delicious every day and the staff was extremely helpful whenever we needing anything - including arranging transportation.

Well I’m leaving my second review, as I changed my trip to come back to penida specifically to stay another week at Ayu Hills. I’ve never stayed at such an all round amazing place. The property is 15 min from the main hub/harbour area of Penida, up high in the hills with an expansive view of hills and valleys, and Mt Agung over on Bali is right there to greet you. The gardens are immaculate and lush, and have so many little beautiful spots to just lay or sit and soak in the view. The bungalows/homes are gorgeous wooden style, everything you need, with a beautiful little porch with your own kettle to make endless cups of tea as you lose sense of time all day up there-mesmerised by the setting. The bathroom has a little indoor garden which is gorgeous. The breakfast is beautiful. More than anything it’s the Owner Made and employee Kadek that will make your stay so magic. They are kind, helpful, thoughtful and welcoming- always there for advice or assistance when you need but at the same time you are given space to just be and relax and enjoy the property. You can rent scooters from them. Made and Kadek welcomed me to go to join watching the nearby ceremony and were great to talk to if you want to learn about their culture etc. they also will help you plan wherever you want to go on the island. STAY HERE!!!! And book more days than you think, you won’t regret it. Thank you Made, what a unique and dreamy place you’ve created.

WOW. The greatest place I’ve ever stayed. Just so magic- staying up amongst the top of the hills, looking directly over at Mt Agung. The outside space on the property is gorgeous, with plenty of spots to read, meditate, or just sit and take in the incredible view. The sounds of the birds and temples nearby is enchanting. The room/cottage itself is beautiful, charming and ticks all the boxes. Totally comfortable. Your own kettle with tea and coffee on your deck is great. Sure, it’s further from the beach then some places, but Made and Kadek will help you organise transport- rent scooter, taxi, whatever. You can order food from an amazing Warung that they deliver to Ayu Hills. Made and his family have created a magic place. I am already booked to return!!!! You could spend your whole day without leaving and be in heaven. Thank you Made

Kadek und sein Team waren super freundlich und versuchten jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Wir konnten sogar schon morgens einchecken, da ünsere Hütte gerade nicht belegt war. Toller Ausgangspunkt in der Hügellandschaft von Nusa Penida und zentral um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden.

I love this little bungalow ! It’s perfect for a stay in Nusa Penida. If you like quiet and a stunning hillside view this is the spot ! Breakfast included with options to choose one each day. Very helpful staff. Need motorbike to access or can hire a guide / driver to take you. Made the host set me up with Ketut who has been amazing to take me around to all the hot spots of Nusa. Host is very helpful to get you what you need. Bed comfy, shower hot (I just love the garden inside) Wifi can be spotty but host tries hard to keep it going nicely. Windy on hill which is nice for hot climate. I actually extended my stay here because I love it so much. Give Ayu a try you’ll love it.

Our trip to Nusa Penida was like a dream! The people are so kind and hospitable. Our host has been the perfect host! You need help finding a boat to the next island? Made will help you. What a nice place! I booked 3 nights, but I extended my stay for 7 more. It's so peaceful there with a beautiful view of the sunrise. Made and his family are so friendly and helpful, I felt very welcome. You can rent a scooter and easily explore the island. The breakfast is good and drinking water is for free. The Bungalow is very comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!

Me and my friends were stayed in Penida for 4 days and i could say that this is the BEST hospitality that we’ve had! Pak Made and his wife are incredible friendly. They treated us more like family than guest. The location is on the hill and perfectly clean. They even gave us an extra bed without any charge! I would be back again for sure ❤️

Our time in Ayu hill was wonderful and we extended our stay for 2 more days. So we had 5 days to explore the Island with motorbike, which we could easily rent from Made. In the rain season the whole Island was not too crowded by tourists and so we were the only guests staying there. We can really recommend booking this place, Made and his employee were so nice and welcoming, gave us good advice and recommendations and it was nice talking to them. Because of strong thunder the electricity was shortly off, but they fixed it very fast. The bungalows have the perfect size and there are plants growing in the bath :) Hope we will come back sometime and see the boys grow up and go for a swim in the planned pool :)

Amazing stay!

Ayu Hill Bungalows is a rare gem of a place. We booked to stay just one night but ended up staying three because we loved it so much. From the sweeping jungle views (really perfect for seeing the sunrise) to the cosy and beautiful dark wood bungalow and the spacious bathroom (with a garden inside!!), every little detail was taken care of. The bungalow was clean and really quiet and peaceful, and the bed was very comfy. I read the reviews on here before booking and I didn't know if a place could live up to my very high expectations, but Ayu Hill really went above and beyond. Special thanks to Kadek and Made, who made our stay even more awesome with their friendly, welcoming nature. 10/10, I definitely recommend staying here! Thank you and we hope to be back in the future!

UNBELIEVABLE is the word I can use if any. I am speechless on how stunning this place was. The bathroom was huge and there was a skyline and you can see the moon from it. There is also a small garden inside the bathroom ‘insane.’ Every one was very attentive. Ayo was so helpful and a ‘yes’ kind of guy. I appreciate my stay and I look forward to coming back. Thank you I love it! Please book this place and don’t think twice.

Amazing place, very quiet. The first 3 days I was here completely alone and the quietness if the place was unbelievable! Loved it so much. The place itself is very nice, large cozy bed, nice bathroom with flowers inside. Good WiFi. It's pretty place but don't expect to get there on foot, trust me I tried, you need at least a bike. The host is very helpful, the breakfast was good too and there's free water available and taxi service to the harbour or if you want private tour around the island in aircon car, that's available too.

Made and his family are so welcoming and make you feel at home, the Wifi is great, the bed is super comfortable, the shower has great pressure and warm water, if you need to do laundry they can do it for you, breakfast is provided, and the view are spectacular. We absolutely LOVED this spot! We had our own little bungalow on top of a hill. The view was amazing and it was so quiet and peaceful. We watched the sunrise over the hill and the breakfast that was included was delicious. We only stayed here for one night, but we wish we would have stayed longer. There were a few bugs outside at night, so I would just recommend bringing insect repellent. Other than that the AC in our room worked great and the bathroom was really cool. We would definitely stay here again!

The absolute best place I stayed at in Bali. Made, his family and Kadek provided absolute outstanding hospitality! I was able to check in quite early. The bungalow is up in the mountain beautiful scenery! Although, it is a bit of a drive away from the port and restaurants, you can rent a scooter from Made, or ask to have a local drive you on scooter which I did a few times! Nusa Penida is very beautiful it is best to explore by scooter! Made friend took me on the tours which were amazing! The day I arrived Kadek brought me fresh fruit! Also, the evening I arrived I met Made and his family they were very welcoming, I visited with them for a while! Very friendly people! Each morning they brought breakfast on the patio which was very yummy! I did both the east and west tours which I highly recommend, after the east tour I was exhausted from climbing stairs in heat, they brought me fresh fruit and cake which was amazing and a total unexpected surprise! It filled me up for the night I didn’t even go for dinner! I have nothing but good things to say about Made’s place! I am a solo traveller and I would recommend for other solo travellers I always felt very safe. When I go back to Bali I will definitely stay at Made bungalows again! There is some noise from the geckos and chickens but that is to be expected in Bali! I actually enjoyed it!

Made's place is a joy to stay in. Located high in the hills, this was a stay unlike any other I've experienced in Bali. Beautiful scenery, peaceful and engulfed in nature. The stand alone cottage was delightful. Clean, spacious, comfortable, good air-con what more could you ask for, true value for money. Kettle supplied with a socket on each veranda, genius! Good breakfast each morning, scooter hire and outstanding hospitality from Made as he booked our boats and taxi and also ordered us food from his buddy's warung one night. Made is a lovely, kind man and was always willing to go out of his way to make our stay comfortable and stress free. He even gave us fruit on arrival. Strongly recommend this place.

Made and Komang’s place was hands down the best place we stayed the entire time we were in Bali. We passed by many bungalows in the area but I can say with confidence none of them can compare to this one. Not only is it a beautiful and cleanly bungalow but it sits right on top of a mountain with a gorgeous view and that alone had me in awe. We arrived early, before check in and we were let in right away and about 15 minutes later Kadek brought us watermelon which was really thoughtful. Kadek was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Made and Komang (The owners) even let us use there scooter at night because it was really dark outside and our scooter didn’t have a light that was strong enough. All in all we had such a great stay and if you are in Nusa Penida I would recommend that you stay here! 10 out of 10!

This is a perfect serene secluded cottage in Nusa Penida, ideal if you are looking for a true get away from any hustle and bustle. It is about a 15 minute drive from the harbor, and the pictures on this listing are accurate - the place has nearly 360 degree views of lush greenery. The rooms and bathroom are clean, there is AC and adequate WiFi. Breakfast is provided , other meals can be purchased and are delivered to you. This is an ideal secluded spot if you want to truly disconnect and have a peaceful stay.

Made’s place, Ayuhill bungalow is a nice place to stay. We really had a great time in Nusa Penida. With Made’s useful tips, we completed east ( Gili Putri, Atuh beach, Diamond beach( love the swings), Tree house and Telletubies hill) and west side, sunset at crystal bay, kelingking beach ( we managed to trek down the beach), Angel’s Bilabong and Broken beach. Thankyou for your kind hospitality.

A beautiful and value for money place. Made arranged dinner for us after tiring trip to the penida island. Hospitality was superb.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the bungalows owned by Made and his wife and their employee Kadek. They were all SUPER friendly and incredibly helpful. Made even took me to the boat to Lembongan and made sure I got the right ticket and didn't even want me to pay him for this. Truly remarkable hospitality and it was refreshing to stay somewhere surrounded by green hills. Breakfast is included and other meals can be ordered. You do however need a scooter to go to the different sights. I had never ridden a scooter before and was initially worried to do so because of the narrow roads, unstable shoulders, potholes and heavy tour car traffic however, I just took it real easy in the first couple of days and leaving early in the day and had a MARVELLOUS time. If you want to stay somewhere quiet and beautiful then I can definitely recommend quiet and serene AYU Hill.

Our stay here was wholesome. The views were better than we expected and the houses are truly wonderful to stay in. We did experience some temperature fluctuations of the shower, but it was'nt too bad. Made, Ayu and Kades made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was served every morning on the patio, we rented a scooter to get around the island and they helped us out with getting a taxi/boat to go back to Bali. Our house had an ant problem during the time we were there, but they were very forthcoming in finding a solution and we switched houses for the rest of our stay so they could fix the problem.

The bathroom is awesome!! My friend and I love it so much!

The property is on the top of a mountain with an incredible view of the valley. Even if you just sit on the balcony your entire stay you will have an amazing time. You can even hear the chanting from a near by temple. I have never stayed somewhere so magical. Made and his family are such gracious hosts. The breakfast is included and I recommend the banana pancakes. I looked forward to them each day. Made and his family are so helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic. You can hire bikes at their places and cruise through the jungle to all of the major sites. The room itself is gorgeous too. The bathroom even has a little garden. If you are looking at this place just book! You won’t regret. It was the highlight of my stay in Bali.

I stayed there for three nights and I would have stayed longer, if I could. It was an amazing time and better than I expected. The cottages are new, spacious and clean. I felt pretty well there. Furthermore Made, his family and his team is full of friendliness, kindness and good vibes. They just provide a great guest-friendship. They are always there to give advice on how to plan your day. Mades place is in a good and quiet location from where you can explore the island pretty good. By scooter is the best choice to do this. You can rent a scooter right there. From Mades place you have a beautiful view on a part of the Island and when the weather is good you can even see the volcano. Nusa Penida is just stunning and has so many beautiful places. The view from places like Angel's Billabong, Broken Beach and Kelingking Beach were just breathtaking. I just can highly recommend Mades place at Ayu Hill. You are definitely in good hands there. Ayu bungalows is legitimately stunning, a quaint and quiet guesthouse nestled into the beautiful hills of Nusa penida. Made, the host is outgoing, happy and well spoken, he helped us make plans and knows lots about Penida. He even went out of his way to personally deliver us dinner when the local warung was unexpectedly closed. The location is relatively central and just far enough out of the main touristic area along the coast. Breakfast is Simple and Tasty.

Staying with made and his family was an awesome experience, the place is quiet and you can sleep like a baby. The bungalow is great and super cosy, I really enjoyed the place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a peaceful night. Thanks Made.

I had the most amazing time at Ayu Hill Bungalows! You can’t beat sipping a wonderful cup of coffee whilst watching the sunrise, luscious green nature all around you with birds chirping. We stayed 5 days at this wonderful place in the hill and it was awesome. We had such a great time in nusa penida and the whole team made us feel so welcome! They asked us everyday what we have planned and gave us great advices where we should go and what is worth to see around the island. They built everything themself and it is so beautiful! The room and the whole area is absolutely breathtaking, we even had a small garden in the bathroom. Just amazing!Everybody was smiling and gave us the best feeling possible. This place is beautiful. We visited Nusa Penida for a 2 day/1 night trip and stayed here. We were no way disappointed! This place is amazing. The bathroom is gorgeous and the space is quite clean and cozy. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! The place is in a great location, and you also receive the best hospitality. We loved the location and we loved our interactions with the host. He was very kind and helpful, we received great support during our stay and we managed to do a quick clean up of a nearby village. And he was super motivated.

AMAZING stay! So quiet and peaceful. The staff was so friendly and attentive to our needs. Only wish we could have stayed longer! No restaurants really in the area, but they have a delivery service that you can order from. We ate outside overlooking the mountains!

Absolutely loved my two nights staying at Made’s place. Made and his family were incredibly hospitable, and the rooms were clean, cozy, and exactly as described. I loved the location: it was a blast getting to and from his property on a scooter. Made was even kind enough to help me book a boat to my next destination and help me resolve a personal problem I was presented with. The bungalows are new and super nice. They are located in a quiet, relaxing, beautiful place, where you can enjoy your breakfast on your private balcony, with an amazing view. We loved our stay and were positively surprised, because you get so much value for your money. A big plus for us was that Made provides big water tank you can refill your water bottle from. This is such a huge contribution to reduce the plastic on the island. Made and his family is so lovely and we will come back next time!

We had an incredible week staying at Ayu hill Bungalows. The room is situated right on top of the quiet hills in the middle of Nusa Penida. Sunrise in these misty hills is breathtaking. Breakfast was served to us every morning on our balcony, and our cozy room cleaned every day. Water is available from a 25L bottle, and we were able to use their fridge to store our fruit and water. The Bed is comfy, the aircon works, and the bathroom is big and clean. Made arranged a bike hire, taxi service and helped us with our boat trip. You won’t regret staying here, we will be coming back to Ayu hill bungalows and look forward to seeing Ayu, Made and both Kades again.

It is a very beautiful place to stay with the most beautiful view of all nusa penida. The room was clean and everybody took care about us. It's amazing to do yoga at this place or just sit on the balcony and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. If you are to lazy to go out at night you can just talk with made or kadek and they will order nice food for you. We did enjoy our time there!

This was honestly the best place I stayed on my whole month long trip in Indonesia. Made and his team are among the sweetest people I’ve met, I always saw them with huge smiles on their faces, eager to help out in any way you need. I would highly suggest waking up and watching the sun rise one morning, with a coffee in hand and an adventurous day to look forward to, these are the kind of things that make you feel alive. As for the bungalo, it was quaint and cute, very clean, perfectly working AC and there was always hot water. Having your own kettle to make tea or coffee whenever is definitely a big plus. Not to mention, their food was great! We had breakfast served on our front porch every morning to enjoy a great meal with a beautiful view. If you’re debating staying here, I’d say definitely do it! Made and his family are really lovely people. We felt totally welcome and had a great time at our bungalow. The Bungalows are way up the hill. With a scooter it's about 5 minutes to the main road at the coast. If you like a peaceful and quiet place to relax this is your place. Breakfast at sunset with a nice view over the hills of nusa penida made our days at this beautiful island.

We stayed here for 3 nights and felt totally at home away from home. For the price we felt it had everything, even more so than some of the resorts! It was modern, Cosy, had little bed lamps and bedside tables, comfortable mattress and large bed, amazing shower with hot water and some nice plants, cute little balcony where we were able to see the best sunrise every morning, it even had a kettle and coffee on the balcony for us to make our own coffee. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and were up at 6am ready for breakfast orders. They offered to clean our room every day when we were out I couldn’t believe it!! Highly recommended!

Krásné ubytování, které se nachází v klidné oblasti ve vnitrozemí, avšak v ideálním místě k prozkoumání celého ostrova. Made byl fantastický hostitel, pokaždé se nám snažil vyjít vstříc, poskytnul potřebné informace. Ubytování je formou samostatných dřevěných chatek, které mají velkou postel a krásnou samostatnou koupelnu s teplou vodou. Snídaně byly také vynikající, mohli jsme si vybrat mezi palačinkou/toastem/míchanými vajíčky spolu s ovocem. Pobyt jsme si velice užili. Doporučuji !
