Exploring Balila Beach Resort-WOW⭐️Just look at your view ⭐️ left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Balila Beach Resort-WOW⭐️Just look at your view ⭐️ was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Karangasem plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Balila Beach Resort-WOW⭐️Just look at your view ⭐️ painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

We zijn er een week geweest en het enige wat echt de moeite waard is aan dit hotel is het uitzicht. We wisten dat de badkamer buiten was maar het was echt heel smerig. Overal rode mieren, kikkers, wormen, en dat is alleen al in de douche. We durfden niet zonder slippers te douchen. Klamboe en gordijnen waren vies of zaten gaten in. Alles is buiten dus je hoort ook alles. Niet alleen de zee en krekels, wat niet erg is, maar ook honden of muziek heel de nacht. Geen 1 nacht volledig doorgeslapen. Sommige personeelsleden zijn gewoonweg niet aardig tegen de gasten (niet alleen tegen ons). Het restaurant was het toppunt. Overal mieren (wat niet gek is als je daar je honden te eten geeft) en andere beesten. De kat poept gewoon naast je in de bosjes als je aan het eten bent. Mieren lopen ook over je bord en in je glas als je aan het eten bent. Kakkerlakken lopen in de keuken dus hoe schoon mag het eten dan zijn? Ons zie je hier nooit meer terug

Die Gastgeberin war super freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend- wie das ganze Personal auch. Alle super freundlich. Uns wurden direkt die Koffer abgenommen und hochgetragen, obwohl sie super schwer waren. Die Unterkunft hat eine wunderschöne einzigartige Aussicht. Das Bad ist offen, das kennt man ja bereits von Bali. Aufgrund dessen trifft man immer wieder auf Krabbeltiere. Was uns überrascht hat, war dass die Unterkunft komplett offen war (die Überdachung war nicht direkt auf der Wand), wie bei unserem Nachbarszimmer auch. Wir waren froh, dass wir keine Nachbarn hatten- man hätte jedes Wort gehört. Ebenfalls kam es morgens zu lauten Bauarbeiten- die Unterkunft war ja offen. Es war wirklich laut und wir sind Baustellenlärm gewohnt. Zudem konnte man nachts Gespräche vom Strand, sowie kämpfende Straßenhunde am Strand hören.. Die Gastgeberin kam selbstständig auf mich zu und bot ein kostenloses Abendessen zur Entschädigung an.

Zimmer waren sehr sauber und wir hatten einen wunderschönen Meerblick. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

We had a lovely stay and appreciated the peaceful, unique atmosphere. The ocean view from the patio is stunning and sunrises with a cup of green tea were a highlight. The staff were warm and attentive, especially Julie. We also enjoyed the on-site gong bath, and the Seeds restaurant served delicious food with great rotating specials. The friendly pet dogs were also a bonus. The location is quite remote, which adds to the tranquility but to get to Amed center, scooter rental was necessary, and they offer affordable prices. Nice yoga shala; I would have loved scheduled yoga classes, but likely too challenging to keep filled. A few small areas for improvement: a minor cleanliness issue with a smoothie straw, some challenges with the water (air in water lines resulting in spitting water) and as the villa is open-air, mosquitoes can limit evening use (manageable with bed net and lights off). That said, we appreciated thoughtful touches like the lemongrass mosquito lotion available on-site

Pros- Wonderful staff who went the extra mile. Secluded area with peaceful views. Yummy meals with daily specials. Listing mentioned no aircon so I was prepared for that. It was lovely in the daytime! Cons- At night, I was eaten alive by mosquitos/sandflies despite the mosquito net and repellent. This disrupted my sleep and I itched for days after :( Those who are sensitive to bites, do take note or come prepared to ward them off!

Für uns war das Essen zu gesund und salzlos im Gegensatz zu der köstlichen indonesischen Küche. Aber für Veganer und Vegetarier sowie Yogis der absolute Traumplatz. Ich würde es eher Jüngeren empfehlen, kühlende Aircondition war nicht vorhanden trotz Angabe. Mein absolutes Highlight war die Behandlung durch einen traditionellen Heiler und die tollen daytrips vom Resort. Herzlichen Dank für diese Erfahrung 🙏

L’endroit est juste magnifique. Reposant on ne peut pas être plus prêt de l’océan, le bruit des vagues est presque trop fort en marrée haute ! 🤣 Le warung e dessous et ceux autour sont très bien , j’ai adoy Nashi goreng see frood, cuisine locale tout ce que j’aime. Travaux en cours ce qui était pas toujours agréable mais bon, faut bien….. Rien d’autre à faire que de se poser sur la plage et surfer. Un peu loin de tout si vous êtes pieds. Je recommande cet endroit.

It’s a beautiful place nestled in front of the beach, staff is courteous and helpful, food is amazing too. We struggled a bit with the heat with no Airconditioner ans celing fan in December heat/humidity. “Close to nature” is great. But place should accommodate for the weather for all seasons.

Very nice stay! But you need rent a scooter to go to Amed town! You can walk there also in 20min, but not recommend it when it’s dark! we had de view over the beach what was very cool! Very at ease place with very nice staff. Not the typical resort feeling, which wel really liked!

Pros - The property is gorgeous and look exactly like the picture (and more). It has great view of Mt.Agung and located on the beach - Service is impeccable, staff is very friendly - The restaurant onsite had excellent dishes Cons - Location is located ~30mins walk / 20mins scooter ride from the Amed beach, not a big issue though as the staff can also take you to/from the main beach - Wifi is only located in the restaurant Overall an awesome place and great for travelers who wanted to disconnect

The best part about this place is the staff that run it and where the property sits. If it weren’t for the wonderful staff, we wouldn’t have felt as welcomed or comfortable. Their energy really makes the place as fantastic as it is. The resort itself is beautiful and we loved how everything was eco-friendly. Only suggestion is replacing the net that was in our room as it was the only place we stayed during our 2 week holiday where we were bit/stung the most by the insects. Or even offering mosquito/insect repellent in such rooms would have been a much appreciated and nice touch.

Unser Aufenthalt hat uns gut gefallen. Das Personal ist super, unser Zimmer mit Meerblick war ein Traum, das Essen ist lecker und die Preise dafür sind fair. Allerdings liegt die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb von Amed. Über den Strand ist Amed in ca. 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Essen des hauseigenen Restaurants "Seeds" ist vegetarisch oder vegan. Es gibt aber jeden Tag fangfrischen Fisch vom ortsansässigen Fischer. Wer Ruhe und eine Auszeit vom sonst so stressigen Alltag braucht, ist hier genau richtig!

We enjoyed our time here at the eco-lodge. We had a car so getting to and from town for diving/eating took about 20min each way. This is a great spot for those who want to do yoga and relax with vegan/vegetarian options. They did serve up fresh tuna catch and that was mighty tasty! The staff were so welcoming and kind. The property is inviting and well maintained. The room (Lotus) we stayed in was bigger than I thought it’d be and tucked in the corner overlooking the ocean. We recommend the hummus, potatoes (in any fashion) and lime juice.

Unser Aufenthalt hier hat voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Das organische Duschgel und Shampoo waren sehr lecker und qualitativ! Unser Zimmer (Meerblick) war super schön, das Personal im Restaurant sehr freundlich (Englisch (bis auf eine Person, die das Check-In macht) praktisch gar nicht vorhanden), das Essen war super lecker, der Preis dafür absolut in Ordnung. Man muss gut 20Min am Strand entlang gehen, um an einem anderen Ort zu essen, deshalb ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis im Restaurant umso mehr hervorzuheben. Der Preis für Schnorchel-Utensilien ist viel zu teuer, wir hatten die Utensilien erst abends um 17 Uhr gemietet und mussten trotzdem noch 50'000 IDR p.P. bezahlen (da hatten wir an anderen Orten 20'000 für den ganzen Tag bezahlt) - um die Zeit hatten wir dann leider auch gar nichts mehr gesehen, was uns aber nicht gesagt wurde (wohl die Englisch-Barriere). Von der Gastgeberin hatten wir uns eine deutlich höhere Freundlichkeit erwartet (entsprach überhaupt nicht dem, was man auf der Inserat-Seite entnimmt) (wenn die Gastgeberin zum Restaurant kommt und die aufgrund der Grösse der Unterkunft doch sehr überschaubaren Anzahl Gäste nicht mal richtig begrüsst... Das war wirklich schade, das gibt einen fahlen Geschmack auf die Unterkunft. Aber eben, ansonsten wirklich super toller Aufenthalt hier. Es lohnt sich hier auch absolut (sofern man nicht nur für Yoga angereist ist) einen Scooter zu mieten (der Preis dafür ist auch iO).

Nous n'avons pas vu Brigitte, mais Made sont mari était présent tous les jours. La chambre Lotus est splendide : vue magnifique, décorée de façon exceptionnelle et que dire de la salle de bain extérieur, un bijou. Le seul point négatif serait le fait que le son circule entre les 2 chambres (j'ai entendu mon voisin ronfler). La maison est perdu au bout d'un chemin donc à moins de vouloir faire une cure de plénitude, il vaut mieux louer un scooter pour visiter les environs. La cuisine est excellente et très jolie ment préparé. Tout le monde est adorable et Made discuté facilement avec ses hôtes.

We stayed two nights at Balila and had a good time in Amed. The rooms are very clean and the restaurant is excellent. Wonderful prices and great food. The pool was also amazing, nice clean water with no nasty chemical smell. When we arrived we were a little surprised to learn that the room shares a balcony with the neighbouring room and there is a little space between the rooms that had some pot plants blocking it. It made it feel not very private so I was initially a bit hesitant about leaving the sliding doors open to let the sea breeze in. It ended up being okay because we didn't have anyone next to us and we by no means felt unsafe or anything. Location is outside of Amed (just like they say in the description) so be sure to keep that in mind. We were surprised how long it took us to walk along the beach to Amed but in all fairness, they said how long it would take in the description, so it's our fault for not reading it properly ;) The views from the place were stunning. They have a beach on one side, and Mt Agung on the other. One of the mornings I got up to see the sun rise from the pool - highly recommended! Overall we had a good stay and liked the concept behind the place. The organic soaps they provided were particularly awesome. If you want something away from the action of Amed with a good ethos, then you should definitely consider this place!

Très bel endroit, un vrai petit coin de paradis quand nous nous retrouvons dans ce logement. Magnifique et propre ! Nous avons adoré notre séjour, malgré le petit soucis de communication qui nous a fait louper le bateau le lendemain matin pour les iles Gili. Nous recommandons !

We had a perfect time at balila, the smart eco facilities and open bathroom were part of the experience, and the beach feels private. The staff is nice, flexible and good cooks wich is nice since the kitchen/restaurant is there just for you all day.

I will always have fond memories of this beautiful little resort...the people, the great food, the lovely, natural setting and buildings, my lovely big room with a gorgeous outlook over bougainvillia and trees to the sea and the fantastic spa treatments available. The pool was superb and the little restaurant/cafe beside it quickly became home. If I ever come back to Bali, I'll make a beeline for Ballila

Buen alojamiento, tranquilo. Ideal para desconectar. La ubicación a 1 min. de la playa era lo mejor y cerca del mejor warung de Amed. Vistas a la playa y con todas las comodidades que uno puede pedir. Buena piscina y buen desayuno. Disponen de alquiler de motos en el mismo alojamiento, cosa que nos facilitó mucho poder movernos hacia otras zonas, ya que está un poco alejado y es imposible moverse a pie.

I loved Balila starting with the beautiful design, everything was very creative and thought through. I loved the peace and quiet, also the beautiful pool. The food at the restaurant was of high quality and very delicious, we almost never ate out. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. the room was open plan which was great for ventilation however disturbing when the neighbors were loud - on one day the neighbor telephoned very loudly and I had to go along with every word. Also the house dogs seemed to love our room and as we always left everything open at night I usually found them quietly lying next to my bed which did not disturb me. The beach - like in most places in Bali - was not really inviting and the one time we walked to Amed we were told we could walk along the beach which was not the case, we had to walk through bushes with many dogs which did not feel so good. However it was always easy to get a driver and then be taken to Amed. I would highly recommend Balilaresort

Gosh, where do I even start? What an absolutely divine hidden gem. We stayed in the Lotus Room, tucked away at the far end of the retreat, with a rustic shared deck beside the Lily Room. We loved leaving the bifold doors open at night, letting in the evening breeze and sounds of the ocean. Thank you, Made, for our beautiful morning and afternoon yoga. Your classes were grounding, nourishing and a true highlight of our Bali holiday. Desa - what a treasure you are! Your warm smile and greetings each day at the restaurant always made us smile. And to all the other wonderful staff whose names I didn't catch — thank you. YOU are what makes this place so special. Being around 20 minutes from Amed, we happily slowed right down — pool time, massages, yoga, naps, reading and chats with other guests. Five full days felt perfect. If you're looking for a slow, nourishing, peaceful and healing escape — this is it. ❤️

Das Zimmer und der Ausblick waren genial!

I loved the place. The room I lived in is close to the ocean and I can hear waves. It was so calming and beautiful. The staff is quite nice. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The only downside is that it is far from the center and it is difficult to get there since no drivers and you have to rent a bike with ridiculous price they give you a shitty shaped bike.

Balila was a place I’ll forever remember. The location being more remote offered me the peace I was eking after an intensive training in Ubud. The staff were so kind and helpful. I enjoyed the morning sunrise walks with their dog Dora on the beach, swims in the Ocean when I pleased, snorkeling tour by traditional Balinese boat, and clean food prepared onsite. I know I’ll be back here because it refueled my being. Than you to everyone at Balila for making my stay so comfortable.

A true paradise by the sea. Very quiet and peaceful, perfect for yoga and relaxation. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the food is excellent. A wonderful place to recharge.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The view from the room was spectacular. It was beautiful waking up to the sound of waves and practicing yoga on the balcony. The staff made my birthday extra special by singing to me and giving me cake! The massage is also fantastic and so reasonable too! Fantastic food and ambience. Highly recommend.

Balila is an absolutely wonderful place and I'm really glad that I found it! It took me moment to truly understand how much heartfelt thinking and hard work must have gone into establishing this and I admire Birgit and Made for following their dreams.. The longer I stayed the more value I could see in this whole concept and all the nuances - the different rooms and opportunities for guests, the beautiful fresh and healthy but also super tasty food, the hand made furniture, the openness and kindness of staff which created an atmosphere of a safe and beautiful place that brings out the best in people. I've just arrived in my home country and am still processing my experiences, but would definitely go back in a heart beat.

Such a beautiful location, incredible views, quite and peaceful and away for most tourists. I could lie in a hammock and watch the beach activities in the local fishing village all day long! The food at the little warung was also very good, and the staff were great at making you feel welcome. I really enjoyed the garden, the yoga hall and the serenity of the Lotus room. The whole place has a very authentic rustic charm and feels perfect for a retreat or if you are looking to enjoy the quiet life of Bali while on holiday.

Balila was everything I had hoped for- beautiful room and stunning view, peaceful and a bit off the beaten track, friendly staff, delicious food, friendly family pets. I feel so lucky to have found this place for my mini-break after 2 long hard work weeks in Asia. Made recommended Bintang Divers in Amed and they were also wonderful - locally owned, friendly and knowledgeable. There is also a masseuse on site. So sad I had to leave after 4 wonderful days!

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig und idyllisch, es ist der perfekte Ort zum entspannen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen und das Essen wird jeden Tag frisch zubereitet. Insgesamt war es ein unfassbar schöner Aufenthalt.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour à Amed, et nous n’avons pas été déçus du logement. Nous y sommes resté seulement 2 nuits, et regrettons de ne pas y être resté plus longtemps. L’endroit est vraiment paisible, la vue sur la plage est incroyable, et en même pas 5 min à pied, vous êtes sur la plage de sable noir. L’accueil fut très bien, avec notamment des explications sur les activités aux alentours et une carte. Le restaurant est également très bon. Un grand merci à July, qui fut notre interlocutrice principale et qui était vraiment très agréable. N’hésitez pas si vous passez par Amed !

Balila truely felt like home away from home. Living a natural based lifestyle it is rare to come by a place that aligns within these values. Everything that has been curated at Balila has a true intention of embodying the natural world from the cob walls, to the wooden floors, to the plant filtered swimming pool, the filtered water, the coconut oil they harvest from the land to cook and massage with... Oh and the food! If you're on the journey of staying away from seed oils and embracing whole, raw, organic, locally sourced food; this is your place! Everything I ate was made with love & intention to nourish the body and boy is it good! I wish I could eat here everyday! Then there are the staff; the most kind, helpful, warm and welcoming people you will come by. Thank you for this providing such a holistic & beautiful experience. I will be back! 🫶🏽🤍🌞

One of my favourite beachside places to stay in Bali. Always feels like home. The staff are so welcoming and the cooks serve delicious, nourishing food. It’s always difficult to leave. And Made does the best massages too. It was my 3rd visit in 2 years

Un accueil agréable pour commencer, une présentation claire du domaine et des activités et services. Puis direction la chambre, et la, une vue magnifique, la terrasse avec son hamac et son petit canapé, la mer sous nos yeux. Quel plaisir de se lever le matin, et voir la mer depuis son lit. Enfin, la salle de bain, ouverte à l’extérieur, superbe. Je recommande vivement ce logement, mais il faut être en scooter pour bouger sur les environs. Comptez 15 minutes de scooter pour rejoindre Amed beach.

Can't imagine a better place to stay near Amed. You feel the peace from the moment you arrive until you say goodbye to it.

Balila was really a mini paradise. The ocean views are so beautiful, we stayed in Lotus room and it is so wonderful sleeping by the ocean. The open air bathroom is dreamy. We ate most meals at the restaurant on site, but did walk into Amed to spend some time in town as well which we highly recommend. Dora the dog, and Kitty the cat were charming friends at the resort. If you like nature, tranquil surroundings, healthy food, and genuine people I can’t recommend staying here more!

Absolutely loved my stay at Balila. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was pure magic. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the massages—blissful! Can’t wait to come back.

J’ai passé un superbe séjour dans ce logement. Ma chambre était magnifique avec une vue incroyable sur la mer. Endroit très paisible avec un accès direct à la plage, le spa, la piscine. Ils mettent tout à notre disposition que ça soit un plan détaillé des activités au alentours, les drivers ou les scooters. Le restaurant est très bon le personnel hyper gentil. Un concept d’éco resort qui fait du bien à Bali. Un vrai havre de paix, où j’ai passé mes meilleurs moments. Avec un scooter vous êtes à 15 minutes d’Amed c’est vraiment top je recommande vivement et les soutiens à continuer ainsi. Merci mille fois !!

Wow 🤩 if you are looking for beautiful peaceful surroundings with first class service and a Yoga shala on site then book now ! The accommodation is boutique / eco, the rooms vary from budget to luxurious. We stayed in Lotus for 4 days which was gorgeous with amazing views from the bedroom of the sea and coastline . We then stayed 4 nights in sunrise ( the clues in the name?) The above were great value at £45/50 ish per night including a very very good breakfast with multiple options . For the budget conscious guests there are also rooms available . The pool is great , food top draw and the staff are a credit to Birgit the owner . There were too many to mention but a shout out to Kadek ( he knows why 😉) Julie , Desa, Made, Wayan , Suweni . I highly recommend this accommodation and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Personally I would hire a scooter at some point to drop into to Amed circa 6k away and visit the water palaces and do some snorkelling 🤿! Or you can easily chill for a wee

Wowwww!! Let me just say that this is a eco style resort for the most affordable price. The architecture is divine and the whole place is stunning - nestled into nature beautifully. Absolutely loved everything!!

Das Bali Beach Resort ist wie auf den Fotos beschrieben , die Vegetation war jetzt Ende Mai sogar noch schöner . Die Unterkunft im Lilien Zimmer wunderbar und wie beschrieben. Das Personal super nett und immer mega freundlich , die Speisen im Restaurant fantastisch und immer frisch zubereitet.

Wir haben uns bei Made sehr wohlgefühlt. Wer seine Ruhe haben will und gesund und lecker essen will, ist hier genau richtig. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet und wir hatten im Lotusroom einen phänomenalen Blick aufs Meer mit atemberaubendem Sonnenaufgang. Allerdings ist spätestens 21h Schluss. Dann kann man nur noch schlafen, oder man fährt mit dem Scooter ca 20min nach Amed. Da gibt es Leben. Alles in Allem ein schöner Wohlfühlort.

Die perfekte Unterkunft um zu relaxen und die Zeit in der Natur zu genießen. Im Restaurant der Anlage haben wir und zu allen drei Mahlzeiten verwöhnen lassen und die Kochkünste genossen. Die Lage des Zimmers war traumhaft, der wunderschöne Strand direkt vor der Tür hat uns alle verzaubert. Es viel uns schwer zu gehn, und wir sagen auf Wiedersehen

If you are looking for your own Eat Pray Love experience you have found it in this divinely spiritual, thoughtfully designed place. The ocean room view is reminiscent of a movie set with uninterrupted ocean. Its opulent in its own Balinese way and was kept pristine by the friendly staff. I enjoyed private yoga and a Tibetan sound Bowl healing in a warrung that overlooked the ocean. Also a perfect massage from the ocean view beauty room Most of all I would love to mention the incredible Cooks in the communal restaurant. Healing vegan, vego & pesco meals prepared with love, if your mother was Balinese it would be like having her cook for you. As with all of this area the prices are very reasonable which leaves a little extra to contribute to the local economy through tips or activities. So easy to organize a scooter for $10 AU which is an easy ride on the back or driver's are also available. If you are running from something run to this place of solace, it will heal you.

We love our stay at Balila resort right at beach, behind is the volcano mountain. What great about Balila are: Room design is very beautiful. The Lotus room is clean and spacious, bathroom and balcony are ver big. They provide environmental friendly soap and shampoo with great quality. Food is organic and staff are friendly. The place is more suitable for hippies or environmental friendly guests (no AC in the room or the restaurant, only fans). It is imperfect in a perfect way. We were on digital detox trip so we wont mind the fact that the internet in the room is very week. If we need to do a work call, we will come to the restaurant. It took us about 7-9kms to go the near by Lipah beach and further to the shipwrek or other attractions because of road qualities are very bad in Amed. You should rent a mortobike otherwise you have to walk along the beach to other places. I would not recommend walking along the beach after 6pm as there are no lights.

Eine ganz fantastische Unterkunft mit tollem Ausblick am Morgen! Die Menschen hier sind so unglaublich lieb und zuvorkommend und die Massage ist auch sehr zu empfehlen 🥰 Wir sind erst sehr spät abends angereist und trotzdem hat man uns herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Pflegeprodukte, die hier zur Verfügung gestellt werden duften so so lecker (diese sind auch in ihrem kleinen Shop erhältlich)! Eine tolle Gegend - wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

A beautiful retreat out of central Amed. A great spot if you are looking for some peace and quiet. We hired a scooter and it took about 20mins to ride to the main Amed area. The room was very clean and had a great view out to the ocean.

super leuke rustige plaats aan de zee en strand. geweldig vriendelijk ontvagst ook. Was ons 1ste verblijf in bali en we hadden nog geen scooter gehuurd. Mss hebben we daarom wel wat dingen gemist in de buurt. lekker, gezond eten en drankjes. we waren hier graag.

Tolle Lage, direkt am Meer! Das Meer ist hier sehr ruhig, keine Strömungen, keine hohen Wellen. Ideal zum Schwimmen. Das Personal, besonders Thessa, war ausgesprochen hilfsbereit und freundlich. Tolle Terrasse mit Blick über das Meer. ( vom Bett aus !!!!) Herrlich! Würde sofort wieder hier buchen! Josi

I had an extremely pleasant stay in this oasis in Amed. The communication was great, the food very tasty & healthy, and the staff super helpful & always nice, and the view from the terrace is, of course, amazing. Did I mention the great staff? They arranged for a very nice driver for me from Seminyak and the laundry service was the best I ever had in airbnb. I should mention that there is no conventional A/C in the rooms, only air fans, but since it is so close to the ocean there was mostly a nice breeze. Also, be aware that Wifi is (at least at the moment and in my case) not really reaching the room, so if you are dependent on it, you will have to use it from the restaurant.

j'ai adoré l'hôtel. on dirait une retraite personnalisée. La chambre était propre et la vue magnifique. on peut se baigner à la mer ou à la piscine tout est à proximité. Les plats sont délicieux et préparés à la demande incluant smoothie et dessert. il y a plusieurs activités à l'intérieur de l'hôtel et des excursions également. j'ai pu faire la classe de cuisine, les massages, le bain au fleur et les cours de yoga. ils ont également une petite boutique où vous pouvez acheter des produits bio ou des bijoux en crystaux naturels, je me suis régalée. je recommande vivement pour les personnes qui veulent se reposer loin de la ville et en plein nature. Ahmed est 30 min à pied mais ce n'est pas facile d'accès, je conseille donc de prendre le scooter ou une voiture. et pour finir, le personnel était excellent également

Das Balila ist ein ganz besonderes Hotel mit einem echten Anspruch an Nachhaltigkeit. Die Lage am schwarzen Strand vor dem Mt Agung ist ein Traum für jeden, der Ruhe und Bali abseits von Touristenströmen sucht. Im etwas belebteren Amed ist man trotzdem in nur 30 Minuten zu Fuß oder nach einer kurzen Taxi-/Rollerfahrt. Das Essen, das im Restaurant "Seeds" serviert wird, ist lecker, lokal und abwechslungsreich. Auf Wünsche und Unverträglichkeiten wird eingegangen. Unser Zimmer (Lotus) war ein absoluter Traum. Hervorzuheben ist das tolle Team, angefangen beim Airport Pick-Up, der perfekt organisiert wurde, der schnellen Reaktionen der Hosts, bishin zu den netten, herzlichen Mitarbeitenden, die die Gäste umsorgen. Wir haben uns unglaublich willkommen und umsorgt gefühlt. Das Angebot an Ausflügen, Rollervermietung, Massagen etc. rundet alles ab - wenn man nicht einfach nur die wunderbare Anlage genießen will. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage.

Der Aufenthalt in Balila ist wunderbar. Die Zimmer sind einzigartig, schön und sauber. Der Blick, das Rauschen der Wellen und die etwas abgelegene Lage machen den Aufenthalt zu etwas besonderem. Wir waren 4 Nächte dort, wären gern länger geblieben und haben die Tage voll genossen. Man kann zu Fuß am Strand entlang nach Amed gehen und dort schnorcheln. Das Frühstück und die immer wechselnde Essenskarte im Balila sind sehr gut, frisch von der Köchin zubereitet. Alle Angestellten sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir können das Balila für Leute, die eine Ruheoase suchen, zu 100% empfehlen. Sehr empfehlenswert dort, der Kaiserschmarren mit Drachenfruchtmus!!

This place is an absolute paradise. What a beautiful experience. I wish I could stay longer. Everything is perfectly designed, the house we had was amazing, falling asleep and waking up with the sound of the waves.. a dream! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I recommend 200%. Balila ist eine wunderschöne Anlage mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail! Das Personal ist super lieb, freundlich und hilfsbereit in allen Situationen! Die Frühstücksauswahl ist der Wahnsinn und auch das Hotel Restaurant Seeds ist super gut! Alles wird selbst und mit Liebe gemacht ☺️ der Pool und die Aussicht sind ebenfalls der Hammer! Am Strand geht man ca 30 Minuten bis Amed, man kann sich aber auch problemlos Scooter ausborgen oder ein Taxi bestellen. Ein persönliches Highlight waren auch die 2 Babykatzen, die Hündin Dora und der süße Parkplatzwelpe 😍

Simply wow. Everyone staying there didn't want to leave. The food was amazing, all activities are directly available at the location. Room is spacious with sounds and views of the sea seen and heard from the bed. It is really a paradise and a place to stay to be absolutely de-stressed to your bones.

Wir hatten ein paar sehr schöne Tage im Balila in Amed und haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Aussicht vom Bett aus war atemberaubend und man konnte mit Meeresrauschen einschlafen und aufwachen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder ins Balila fahren!

Logement incroyable, il y a quelque chose de magique. Dormir avec la vue, le bruit des vagues… c’est incroyable. Par contre c’est loin de tout et il n’y a pas de taxis, on est obligés de passer par les chauffeurs de l’hôtel qui sont assez chers. Ne louez pas les scooters à l’hôtel, le prix est x10 par rapport au centre de Amed (500 000 vs 50 000) ! J’y retournerais volontiers !

Wir hatten tolle 2 Nächte mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben, wenn wir gewusst hätten wir toll uns die Unterkunft und das Ambiente zusagt. Perfekte Unterkunft, um abzuschalten und die Seele baumeln zulassen. Besonders zu erwähnen ist noch der eigene Yoga Raum mit Blick aufs Meer. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Und wir haben die süßesten zwei Babykatzen und einen sehr fürsorglichen Hund kennengelernt.

We had a lovely time at Balila. They arranged pick up from Ubud for us and back to the airport too which was very helpful. The staff were very friendly, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed yoga in the mornings, and also had a massage on site. The bedroom (lotus room) had a beautiful view for the veranda. It did get quite warm, fans were provided. The fly nets over the beds were very appreciated as the semi rural setting meant lots of mosquitoes at dusk and dawn. The pool and views from the pool were amazing, ocean one side and mountain the other. Would recommend for a quiet relaxing holiday providing everything you would need on site. Thanks Made and team!

The whole place was just great, very quiet & peaceful, the room (Lily) was great, especially the balcony and view, everything was very clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great, too, and the restaurant served great dinner, as well :) would definitely come back, this was one of the best places I stayed at during my trip!

Ein ruhiger Ort (abgesehen von Geckos und Hunden). Es ist ein tolles alternatives Ressort, mit einem besonderem Spirit, hier kannst du abschalten und die Seele baumeln lassen. Wir haben hier unseren Bali Urlaub begonnen und es scheint als war es für mich die schönste Unterkunft. Wir hatten den Lotus Room mit einem herrlichen Blick aufs Meer. Die Betten waren super bequem, das Zimmer und Bad großzügig. Ich habe besonders das gesunde Essen sehr genossen, sehr lecker und frisch. Ein Mix aus Balinesischer Küche und österreichischen Spezialitäten. Das Team in der Küche kocht hervorragend. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool, wunderschönen Yoga Raum mit besonderer Atmosphäre + Sparbereich. Ich hatte hier die beste Massage meines Lebens. Ich kann die Unterkunft für Leute empfehlen, die eine spirituelle alternative Unterkunft suchen, mit allem Komfort, balinesischem Style und menschlicher Liebe. Das gesamte Team ist sehr kommunikativ, super nett und gibt tolle Tipps. Hier komme ich gerne wieder.

Rooms are lovely, food is fresh, delicious and served with love. Everyone of the staff are kind, generous in spirit and willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a good time. Come with a kind heart and you will be warmly received. You will learn each staff members names because they are worth knowing. Somehow they manage to keep the pool cool on the hottest of days. Loved my stay here. Will certainly return. How is this getaway different: it’s away from it all, with all you need at the resort. Right on the volcanic beach, easy to walk down too. I loved that it was an ecco village also. Water was supplied so you don’t have to leave rubbish behind.

Balila is a very special place. The most peaceful location with incredible views of the ocean and Mount Agung. The accommodation feels like it could be a retreat - there are so many areas to relax and a beautiful pool to cool off. The restaurant is amazing, really healthy and fresh food. And the staff are truly the nicest people youll ever meet. We LOVED our stay here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amed.

Eine tolle Unterkunft! Sie lädt zum Ausspannen ein oder ist eine schöne Basis für Aktivitäten. Durch die überlegte Einrichtung und Bauweise haben wir uns direkt wohl gefühlt und alle waren super nett! Vom Berg kann man ganz toll den Sonnenaufgang beobachten 😊 Und super leckeres Essen!

nous avons passé 3 nuits formidables dans cet hôtel. on se sent comme à la maison , le concept biologique et très nature de l'hôtel nous a beaucoup plu. nous avons eu le privilège d'être dans la chambre lotus une des deux superbes chambres avec vue sur la mer quel pied! s'endormir avec le bruit des vagues c'est magique. le restaurant est excellent merci à la cuisinière ☺️. si vous cherchez le calme et la relaxation c'est l'endroit idéal . je conseille aussi les massages. merci pour tout

Dieser Ort ist eine Oase für alle, die ihre leeren Batterien aufladen wollen und der Hektik von Orten wie Ubud oder dem quirligen Süden entkommen möchten. Alles ist von den Hosts mit so viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und unter ökologischen Aspekten entworfen und gebaut worden. Das spürt man in jeder Ecke der Anlage. Die meisten Zutaten für die gesunde Küche kommen frisch aus dem Garten! Ein nahezu einsamer Lavasandstrand liegt direkt zu Balila's Füßen. Ist der schwarze Sand zu heiß oder das Meer zu wild, kann man sich wunderbar im Pool mit Sicht auf den Mt. Agung erfrischen. Wir haben uns mehr als wohl gefühlt und können Balila aus vollem Herzen weiterempfehlen! Amed, mit seinen 1A Tauchspots, ist mit dem Scooter nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Danke an ein ganz wundervolles Team!

The best place you will find in Amed and the surrounding area. A place to rest, enjoy nature, sunrise & sunset and to meet inspiring people. The room had a wonderful view and I loved to relax in the hammock. They have a yoga shala, spa facilities and a very nice restaurant. Direct access to the beach where there is nobody else. The staff is amazing, very helpful and always with a smile on their face. I stayed 11 nights and recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a unique, calm & authentic experience.

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön. Der Ausblick vom Balkon war einfach nur traumhaft. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen. Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Auch das Essen war super. Es gibt dort einen Ordner mit Aktivitäten die man in der Umgebung machen kann und sie organisieren auch einen Fahrer, wenn man einen Transport braucht. Nach Amed sind es nur 20 Minuten zu Fuß am Strand entlang. Zu der Unterkunft gehören zwei süße Katzen und ein Hund, die total lieb sind. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierhin kommen. Das bisher bestes Air Bnb in dem wir während unserer Bali reise waren! Unser einziger Kritikpunkt ist das Wlan: Am Pool hat man ganz guten Empfang, aber im Zimmer ist es sehr wechselhaft.

Die Unterkunft war ein Traum. Alle waren sehr nett und wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht und die Zimmer sind wunderschön und wir haben jeden Morgen sehr leckeres Frühstück bekommen. Mit dem Roller ist man in ca. 15 min in Amed. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Incroyable séjour chez Made, la vue est à couper le souffle, la chambre est très confortable et le restaurant est délicieux. Tout le personnel est très amical et très attentionné. Concernant la localisation du logement, il se situe à 15/20 min en scooter du centre d’Amed, attention pour ceux qui ne veulent pas conduire à Bali, il reste l’option « passer par la plage » qui est très agréable néanmoins ! Enfin concernant la propreté, globalement il n’y a pas grand chose à relever, énormément de moustiques et de fourmis mais c’est le jeu lorsque l’on reste dans un logement écologique ! Attention si vous avez le sommeil léger à Dora qui vient chercher de la compagnie en pleine nuit ! En tout cas, je reviendrais sans soucis et j’ai adoré rester chez Made que je n’ai malheureusement jamais croisé (peut-être parce qu’on était la tête sous l’eau tout le séjour car Amed est un super site de plongée ! coucou à Abyss dive center le meilleur centre pour plonger !)

Sehr schöne Anlage mit nettem Personal. Das Zimmer (Lotus) hat uns sehr gut gefallen, tolle, kreative Bauweise, bei der es im Inneren auch tagsüber einigermaßen kühl bleibt. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen unbezahlbaren Blick auf das Meer. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Außerdem war es schön zu sehen, wie das Resort den eigenen Anspruch an Nachhaltigkeit konsequent verfolgt! Auch das Essen und die Massagen waren hervorragend. Für den Weg nach Amed braucht man einen Roller oder Fahrer; die Organisation über das Resort hat problemlos geklappt. Einzige Kritikpunkte, die aber nichts am tollen Gesamteindruck ändern: Nachts bellen (wilde?) Hunde am Strand und man hört manchmal Musik. Außerdem funktionierte unser Safe nicht.

We LOVED our stay at Balila. Could've stayed much longer. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and kind. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The communal restaurant space helped us meet people and get recommendations on things to do (as we ate the absolutely delicious food). The view of the ocean was incredible, and there were flowers everywhere. Beautiful beach, beautiful people, beautiful food. What more could you want!?

Balila Beach Resort and the attached restaurant Seeds was just incredible. From the moment I stepped foot on the property I was greeted and helped with my luggage. They asked for my name and never forgot it! Seriously, each day they’d say “Good morning, Rebecca!” Or “Hello, Rebecca!”. It was little gestures like that that made me feel so at home here. The room is just beautiful and I even got to see the sunrise from it. I would 100% stay here again. As a note: You can walk to Amed beach from here but DO NOT GO AT HIGH TIDE. I made that mistake and it was nearly impossible and took me 3x as long. Low tide was very easy.

Wonderful place with amazing food & lots of love put into everything. I absolutely love it, just for this room - the walls are open between this and the neighboured room so 0.0 sound isolation & you can hear each others every move and breath. The beautiful porch makes up for it 🙂

Made accommodation has a beautiful view of the sea. It is located off the beaten track and therefore very quiet. The staff is very friendly. I felt right at home.

Het verblijf was heerlijk. Echt een aanrader om hier naar toe te gaan. Het uitzicht is heel mooi en het restaurant bij het resort is goed met heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Als solo reiziger kun je hier makkelijk andere mensen leren kennen. Dank voor het verblijf!

It's a beautiful place, with amazing friendly people assisting you all the time. The food, the peace, the services everything it's outstanding. For sure I will book again if we are going back to Amed.

I had a wonderful stay at Balilia. The food was great and the people were kind. The community there is really nice and the two rooms I stayed in were so peaceful and both had a beautiful porch view over the sea. I’m gonna come back to this place.

Balila was even better than I had expected. room was beautiful, clean and cool - I didn’t use any air con but it was the perfect temp. Hearing the sea from bed was blissful. restaurant has a homely feel, staff are wonderful and it’s easy to get chatting to people or stay private if preferred. There’s a great list of things to do - I could have stayed here for 2 weeks not 2 days. They’ve really thought about the little details. The food was decent and a good price. While I was there I did snorkeling, a foot massage and black magic healing (an experience but be aware it’s very painful). There are animals around the restaurant and property (for my this is a positive - I love animals but I know some people could take issue). The only negatives - the beach has sewage (no judgement this is an issue in the U.K. too) - as others have said the female host can seem a bit frosty compared to other staff but if hosting isn’t her thing fair enough! She’s done a great job creating an incredible place

off the beaten track and away from the business of some parts of bali and staffed by attentive and dedicated personnel this is a great retreat to just unwind. internet is available most of the time if you need it and the village and other activities are just up the beach. most of what you need is all available at balila though.

Made hat eine wunderschönes Resort auf die Beine gestellt. Es ist schön gelegen und ruhig. Die Katzen waren bei mir zu Besuch im Zimmer. Das war das einzigste, was für mich nicht sehr gemütlich war. Die Katze konnte über das Dach Zugang zum Zimmer verschaffen. Ansonsten war es sehr schön, angenehm, tolles und freundliche Mitarbeiter! Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Ich hatte eine unfassbar tolle Zeit im Balila Beach Resort. Die herzensguten hilfsbereiten Menschen, die tolle erholsame Lage, das gute Essen, die schönen, sauberen und liebevoll eingerichteten Bungalows. Alles war einfach perfekt, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Ich habe mich wie ein Teil einer Familie gefühlt und habe jede Minute genossen. Allein für das Balila Resort würde ich zurück nach Bali reisen!

A great place to stay. We love this place.

Our stay at Balila Resort was great, we stayed 2 nights only but enough to enjoy it fully. The owners helped us arranging a transfer from Ubud to Amed with a stop at the Lempuyang temple - the driver really was amazing, super entertaining and kind. We got to the resort and were welcomed by the restaurant staff, who also is a reception and a common point for people to gather in. The staff is exceptional, just loving nice people that you would like to be friends with. The place really feels like home. The resort is located on a dark "country" road so it's not really super easily accessible but it is worth the road. Our room ad a view to the sea and it was just stunning, very spacious and the bathroom had a great design. There is no AC so it tends to be very hot, but they provide ventilators and it's windy at night so it's okay. The restaurant serves vegan and vegetarian food mainly, most things are okay and the amazing staff will make it up for it not being the greatest food you'll ever taste. Breakfast was cozy and nice. They arranged scooters for us for one day and the process was very smooth. I would recommend this place for sure, but I do have a negative note on the owner: communication pre arrival was great and thank you for that, but when we arrived we were very disappointed. We got to know that a German speaking lady sitting right next to us was the owner and she didn't even take 1 second to welcome us. She was sitting with some friends and didn't even say hi. I find it very rude, running a place like this and behaving in that way. Other than her, all the staff was amazing so I'm not going to penalize the place with a bad review. Balila is an eco friendly place that deserves success. Wish them the best!

After our intensive Indonesia Trip we wanted just to calm down and relax - this place is perfect for an absolute relaxation and piece. We enjoyed the stunning view, interior design and sustainability in every detail. Special thanks to the massage lady and the kitchen crew, we ate healthy and fresh vegetarian food, being able to spend time on the private beach downstairs. We loved to watch after 3 cats playing around and the dog coming to visit us to our terraces sometimes. Unfortunately the shower was cold and snorkelling area is too far away to go by feet on the beach. But in general it was kind of paradise there and we would love to come back again!

Wir waren für drei Nächte im Balila und es war sehr schön. Es liegt abseits des Trubels ist aber nicht total abgelegen. Man ist sehr schnell in Amed falls man doch nicht nur die Ruhe genießen will :-). Das Resort ist sehr groß und mega schön. Unser Zimmer war zum niederknien. Es ist alles mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das offene Bad mit den bunten Fliesen lädt definitiv zum duschen ein. Die Holzelemente fügen sich wunderbar in das Bild und strahlen Wärme aus. Der Blick aus dem Bett war ein Traum. Man schaut direkt auf das Meer und die Fischerboote die man morgens hört wenn es los geht zum Fischen. Die Hängematte war noch die Kirsche auf der Sahne. Das Restaurant bietet täglich frisch zubereitete Speisen an die wirklich sehr lecker schmecken. Das Personal ist super freundlich so das man sich direkt willkommen und wohl gefühlt hat. Sehr zu empfehlen um runter zu kommen.

Enjoyed our stay in this quiet green space. All in the open but nearly no bug in our room and bathroom. Beautiful sunrise! Also very good transportation/guiding possibilities offered by Gede. Fun staff in the Kitchen!

Wir waren geplant für 2 Tage in der Unterkunft aber nachdem uns alles ( Essen, Unterkunft und die Lage) so gut gefallen hat haben wir um einen Tag verlängert. untergekommen sind wir im Lotus Zimmer mit einer sehr schönen Terrasse mit besten Blick aufs Meer. Die Straße zur Unterkunft ist sehr abenteuerlich mit seinen zahlreichen Schlaglöchern. Ein kleiner minus Punkt ist, dass man mit dem Nebenzimmer unter einem großen Dach ist. Die Zimmer sind nicht komplett getrennt voneinander. Dadurch hatte man nicht die Privatsphäre die man gerne gehabt hätte. Wir haben uns trotzdem sehr wohlgefühlt und würden immer wieder kommen da das Preisleistungsverhältnis unschlagbar ist .

Balila is one of the nicest places we stayed on our Bali trip. We loved the staff - they were so friendly and welcoming!! I can highly recommend the Lotus room, it has the prettiest view.

I had an incredible stay at Balila. The view of the room is breathtaking and the staff are very welcoming. They’ve also got some of the cutest animals on residence here. It is a very special place and hope I get to come back here again some time.

As soon as I saw the photos I knew I would love this place... and it was even more spectacular in real life! I really enjoyed relaxing in my hammock on my own private deck, overlooking the most beautiful stretch of ocean. The resort is tucked away from the hustle of Amed, and I really appreciated having a very relaxing and peaceful stay in the Lotus Room. The staff are wonderful and the onsite cafe serves food that's better than anything I ate in town...and the pool is lovely too. Best place I've stayed in Bali... I will be back!

Un endroit paradisiaque avec le lit à baldaquin, douche semi extérieure et vue incroyable sur l’océan. Cette chambre permet un séjour calme et apaisant. Les gens sont très gentilles et accueillants. La cuisine est délicieuse. Seul hic la propreté de la plage qui laisse vraiment à désirer, le reste est top ! Et très bien situé pour une plongée à l’épave Liberty à Tulamben avec Dive concepts.

This is a perfect little getaway in Bali. It’s about a 25/30 min walk from the main part of Amed beach and if you want to do day trips (like I did) to places like Ubud then the staff can arrange it. The food is also excellent - the staff really make you feel like they are cooking for a family member. Will definitely return here when I am next in Amed!

Вид из моего номера просто невероятный, плюс тут есть все что нужно для релакса и идеального отдыха можно заказать массаж, скраб, ванну с цветами, есть отличный большой бассейн с нереальным видом, уютный ресторан, зал йоги, выход на пляж меньше минуты течения нет и можно плавать каждое утро как в бассейне. В самом отеле можно также заказать любой тур, дайвинг, снорклинг итд никуда не выезжая. Одно из лучших мест где я останавливалась. Смело рекомендую, особенно если вы любите уединение.

The stay was amazing. Everyone at Balila was most welcoming and made me feel right at home from the minute I arrived. The resort blends in seemingless with nature and is thruthfully one of the most beautiful places I have visited in a very long time. Waking up with a view of the ocean just offered a soothing comfort that made me want to stay forever. Food, service and accomodation were great and left no wishes open :)

Balila beach resort is a gem, located between Amed and Tulamben. The place is even more beautiful than the pics. However, the soul of the place are the staffs and food. Staffs are very attentive and helpful. Food is delicious.

Balila is so remote and quite, that's what I love most from this place. I sleep with the sound of the ocean, and the view from both lily and lotus room is wonderful. Most likely I can stay inside my room along the day without getting bored. It is perfect place if you want to take a break and give time to your self. Balila also have yoga room and massage service, which is nice to experience while staying there. They also serve healthy and delicious food in the restaurant, which also has beautiful view to the ocean! The staffs are incredible and super friendly, it feels like being with family. I wish can go back to Balila soon!

Nice place with super friendly staff. The room is so cozy and the view from the balcony is incredible. There was no wifi in our room, but for me, it was even an advantage, because this is a perfect place to relax and have a digital detox, instead of wasting time on the internet or films watching. The food in the restaurant is so yummy :) I really miss it. Would be happy to stay here next time.

INCREDIBLE VIEW and beautifully sacred accomodation! We absolutely loved staying here. It felt so serene having almost a private beach to the accomodation itself. The rooms were beautifully designed and Brigit was telling us that they used special wood to construct it to repel mosquitos! We loved knowing that it is an eco resort and all the bathroom water went back to fertilise the gardens! The only issue is that the road in is a bit challenging, especially if you are coming at night. But the remote beautiful location is worth it!

Awesome experience! Beautiful getaway by the ocean. The view is amazing, plus you constantly listen to the waves. The place is super relaxed and peaceful. Delicious vegetarian food in the small restaurant with Agung view. All snorkeling spots are nearby, but be careful when you drive a scooter--the road is bumpy. Highly recommended for getting peace of mind and shifting the focus.

We stayed 7 nights at this place with our 2years old daughter. We had a amazing cottage with a big terrace and the beach view. We were enjoying our lazy days here spending time by the pool, on the beach and making the trips on our rented motorbike. The menu in the restaurant is changing every day and the food is just perfect. Our delight was a spicy cacao, vegan brownie and fish satay. We also had a wonderful massage. We'd like to thank to all people in this resort who were taking care of us. These were relaxed days for us.

I love staying here. Especially being able to wake up to such a beautiful view. It’s more than I expected. It’s so Zen-like and peaceful with minimum travelers which is also great. My only issue is that it’s so out the way. Other than that the resort itself is ideal for traveling couples or singles who just want to get away from it all. And we wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Lotus Zimmer hat eine Wunderschöne Meer aussicht und chilligen Terasse immer mit angenehmen wind. beste an diesem Hotel war der Restaurant, da nicht viel Platz gibt haben sie gössere tische hingestellt so das gäste sich beim Essen teilen und so im gespräch kommen und urlaubsfreundschaften schliessen können. alle Gäste, Personal war super Freundlich. keine pauschal Touristen nur Langzeit asien Reisende auf der durchreise. was die Menschen auch interressant machen. das Essen war super lecker aber nur vegaterisch und auf Wunsch mit Fisch. sonst sehr inspirierende Ort . kann alle empfehlen die wahre bali kennenlernen wollen.

This place is the true essence of Bali for me. The most amazing views, incredible food, very friendly and helpful staff and a true feeling of being in Bali. For me, first and foremost food is paramount to a trip to Bali. The food here is all veggie/pescetarian and I didn't miss meat for a second. Each meal was amazing and always made with fresh food from the local area. The room was amazing and had an incredibly homely feel, we arrived and fought immediately over who got first use of the hammock 😅 I can promise that if I have the chance to visit Bali again, I will be coming back here without a doubt.

Die Unterkunft hält was sie verspricht - sehr sauber, ordentlich, eigene Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer (Room Lotus) und kurzer Weg zum Strand. Sehr familiärer Umgang, guter Service und super freundliches Personal. Nach einigen weiteren Unterkünften konnten wir feststellen, dass es eine unserer Besten auf Bali war. Dort hat man wirklich seine Ruhe, Amed ist ca 15 min mit dem Scooter entfernt (kann man vor Ort leihen oder einen Fahrer organisieren) Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

If you want 5 star service in an eco-friendly, sustainable accomodation, where you can be all by yourself and just relax, than this is definitely the place for you! The moment we arrived at balila-beach, we already knew we want to stay longer! The view from the room and also the pool and restaurant is breathtaking, on one side you have the vulcano and the mountain-landscape, on the other side the endless blue ocean. The landscape is really mesmerizing!!! The staff made us feel like family and the food made us not want to eat amywhere else than in their restaurant :) We definitely come back!!

Birgit's place is absolutely wonderful. The location and the view are unbeatable, and the small staff on site are very warm and helpful. My stay overlapped with the Chinese golden week when Bali tends to be swamped by tourists, yet Balila remained secluded and tranquil, I couldn't have asked for more.

Einer der schönsten Orte meines Lebens!!!! Noch schöner als auf den Bildern!! und wer es gerne ruhig und friedlich mag, kann sich hier bestens erholen.... gibt aber auch einiges zu entdecken!! und zu Fuss kann man am Strand entlang nach Amed gehen. Fühlte mich sehr aufgehoben, Birgit und Made haben diesen Ort mit ganz viel Liebe und Stil aufgebaut. Auch das Personal war grossartig, das Essen wundervoll und wer gerne bewusst und ökolgisch reist, ist hier genau richtig! Und wenn man Glück hat, kann man im Ozean einen Wal sehen :) Falls ich wiedermal in Bali bin, komme ich bestimmt wieder! Und keine Sorge wegen dem Agung.... obwohl der Vulkan nah ist, total ungefährlich und sicher die Region dort!!!

La cuoca me la sarei portata a casa con me! Ho pregato guardando albe meravigliose..fatto yoga..fitness in spiaggia..mi sono sentita amata e coccolata! A casa insomma! A casa ma in paradiso! Das Balila Beach Resort ist perfekt um richtig runterzukommen und zu entspannen. Die Agathes ein Birgit und ihre tollen Angestellten machen es einem leicht sich wie im Paradies zu fühlen. Das Essen ist ein absolutes Highlight. Wir haben uns 3 Mal am Tag von oben bis unten durch die Karte gegessen und getrunken und es ist schlichtweg alles herausragend und einzigartig lecker. Man merkt einfach dass hier mit Liebe gekocht und gearbeitet wird. Gemüse, Kräuter, Obst, Tees etc werden selbst angebaut, das Salz wird selbst hergestellt und gibt jedem Gericht eine besondere Note. Für Feinschmecker und Genießer wärmstens zu empfehlen. Wer morgens mit Blick aufs Meer aufwachen möchte, dem ist eins der beiden Seaview-Bungalows zu empfehlen. Sie sind jeden Euro wert.

beautiful and magical place. Every piece, every stone and every decoration has been placed with love. Really nice food, lovely staff. One of the few places where the reality is much more beautiful than the pictures in the ad. Close to the ocean, retreat atmosphere and perfect for unwinding.

A l écart d Amed, ce lieu est tout simplement magique. La chambre est superbe, avec une terrasse ou l on peut faire la sieste, paisiblement, dans le hamac.Le matin arrivée des pêcheurs sur la belle plage de sable noire. La cuisine du restaurant est délicieuse. Enfin, que du bonheur!

Wir hatten ein außergewöhnliches Zimmer mit tollem Blick aufs Meer, auf einer riesigen Terasse. Das Bad war traumhaft eingerichtet und hatte alles zu bieten, was man sich so wünschen kann. What a gem in the middle of nature! I loved Balila from the start. I even got to participate in a full moon ceremony with the lovely people of the nearby village. Food is amazing and healthy.

We were devastated to leave this place - such an paradise of tranquility and delicious food. Originally our plan was to stay for 2 nights, but we ended staying close to a week. It is a perfect retreat for doing some yoga, being far away from any tourist infrastructure, and simply enjoy good healthy food. We would love to come back :)

Very nice hosts, very very calm, you can explore the countryside easily with the motorbike, which you can rent there. Good food, interesting architecture, fantastic view.

This place is really beautiful! We enjoyed our time in Birgits air bnb. It's the perfect place to relax and to come down. It's near Amed but you have to rent a scooter. We've done this here without any problems. Also we liked the restaurant, the food is fresh and tasty. And the room is the best! Incredible with the sound of the sea. We definitely can recommend this beautiful place!

The room and the ocean views were just as stunning as the photos and truly beautiful. This is a special place and Birgit's vision for an eco friendly, sustainable resort where visitors from around the world can relax and recharge is well realized. Beyond the beautiful room and view, the staff are really lovely and kind, and the food they prepare is not only healthy and good value, it is delicious. The views of Mt Agung from the restaurant and pool area are also amazing. I definitely recommend a stay here and hope to return.

Balila Beach Resort is delightfully excluded from the hustle and bustle of tourists from the nearby Amed. It had beautiful views, a charming ambience, and wonderful staff. We loved the sunrises from our room, and the delicious food from the on-site restaurant. Would definitely recommend a stay!

What can I say about this GORGEOUS piece of heaven? My room was beautiful and spacious. I adored the open air bathroom. My view was breathtaking, especially during the sunrise. The sea water is clear, perfect for snorkeling. Yes it takes a while to get here from the airport, but the trip was well worth it. Birgit and her family are so lovely and helpful as well! I've been staying at their space in Ubud and now visiting Amed, I am so glad I made the trip up!

Thank you Birgit for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Everything was beyond what we expected. We were looking for a peaceful stay to just relax and soak up the breathtaking views...and that's exactly what we got. Although it is set about 20min away from any food and restaurants, it didn't bother us because I think we were spoilt with some of the best food in Amed at this BnB. Highly recommend the chocolate..mmm! The rooms were clean and fresh with big sliding glass windows to catch the breeze in the evening, so no Aircon needed. Overall this place exceeded our expectations and probably one of the nicest airbnb we have stayed in. We hope to visit again one day.

Balila is a little paradise in Amed. The room with the view on the sea is just amazing. Falling asleep to the relaxing sound of the waves and waking up to the beautiful colors is priceless. Not to mention the very nice and helpful staff that will do anything to make your stay there perfect. Highly recommended !

The Balila beach resort was absolutely stunning! We were there for three days but with this amazing view you could stay here forever. It is a wonderful inspirational place. The whole organic nature atmosphere is all around here. Food at the restaurant cheap and very good. The swimminpool is very good. You can see the sunrise from here. If we go to Bali again this would be our number one come back visit for sure. Amed is close by but not as Nice as this beautiful eco place.

Die Zimmer wunderschön, sauber und ansprechend eingerichtet, die Atmosphäre sehr entspannt, die Gastgeber und Angestellten hilfsbereit und freundlich, das Essen super lecker, gesund und preiswert - ich kann mir keinen besseren Ort vorstellen um Kraft zu tanken und den Urlaub zu genießen. Birgit hat für uns auch absolut stressfreien Transport von Ubud nach Amed organisiert und von Amed zum Flughafen. Vor Ort kann man auch ganz bequem einen günstigen Roller mieten und damit zu den nächsten Schnorchel-Spots fahren. Wir waren absolut begeistert von dieser traumhaften Anlage, bei der man zur einen Seite das Meer hat und die lokalen Fischer beim Auslaufen beobachten kann und auf der anderen Seite einen riesigen grünen Vulkan sieht - so schön! - - - - - - We have been staying here for a couple of days and let me tell you: it was so awesome. The room beautiful and clean, a relaxed atmosphere everywhere and friendly / helpful staff. The food is delicious, healthy and reasonably priced. I can't think of a better place to recover and relax. The host organized the transport for us, from Ubud to Amed and from Amed to the Airport (what a service!). You can rent a scooter and drive to the next snorkel-spots. We have been absolutely stunned from the beauty this place has to offer. You have the sea on one side and a big green vulcano on the other - b e a u t i f u l For us a This Beautiful Location / Superb Host / Awesome View / Great Food / Good Value We have

Da ich bei Birgit in ubud gewohnt habe und mir dann von amed vorgeschwärmt wurde habe ich hier für drei Tage genächtigt. Ich war sofort überwältigt von dem traumhaften Ausblick von der terasse, dem umwerfenden Zimmer und Badezimmer und einfach dem ganzen Ambiente. Es ist einfach unglaublich und noch viel schöner als die Fotos es zeigen! Man lebt hier in absoluten Luxus mit traumhaften Ausblick. Neben dem Zimmer gibt es auch noch einen wunderschönen Pool und ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant nur für die Gäste! Ich habe jeden Tag in vollen Zügen genossen und kann nur jedem weiterempfehlen hier zu übernachten!

Si le paradis était sur terre, il serait au Balila sans aucun doute! Superbe chambre : bungalow cylindrique fait de pierres et terre, vue sur la mer du lit, douche ouverte, tout le système d'évacuation des eaux usées ainsi que les produits utilisés et proposés sont éco responsables. Les plats proposés viennent du jardin. Les poissons sont frais. Calme, Bien-être, extase... voilà ce que nous avons ressentis. Tout est parfait au Balila.... Il nous a été dur de partir. Nous avons vécu une deuxième lune de miel. Merci à Birgit et Madé pour leur accueil!

Beautiful location! The pictures hide a lot of beauty wich you'll only see once you get there. Our room was located on the sea side, we could see the waves from in our bed or in the hammock,wich is on the porch. The food was wonderful and homemade. The swimmingpool was beautiful, we hade an amazing time here. To bad we could only stay for one night. We would definetly come here again. The house was a bit hard to find, but the owner told us, he will put up a sign at the side of the road

Petit coin de paradis isolé de amed mais à une 20 aine de minutes a pied par la plage. De toute facon, le lieu est tellement charmant et reposant qu on a envie d'y rester. La nourriture est très bonne et vraiment pas cher. Les gens sont extrêmement gentil. Bref je recommande ce logement à tous les gens qui veulent avoir un lit en face de la mer, dormir avec le bruit des vagues et avec une piscine à débordement avec vue mer....

Nestled on a sleepy fisherman's beach, Balilana is the perfect place to unwind. We loved the ecological mission of the lodge. The room was lovely, with incredible views of the crashing waves and a luxurious outdoor bathroom with the best organic soap. Due to the airy design of the villa, it lacks privacy, but we had lovely neighbors so this wasn't a real problem. The food was exceptionally fresh and well prepared. Overall an amazing value. We ended up extending our stay twice cause we loved it so much. It is a little off the beaten path which is exactly what we wanted.

Balila was, quite simply, an amazing place to stay. Birgit's talent as an architect is evident in the beauty of the property and the bungalows. The food was fresh, simple and delicious, and the views are absolutely breath taking. This really is the perfect spot to unwind and get away from it all. Thanks for having us :)

My friend and I had an incredible time at Birgit's place. Her bungalows are really nice and have amazing views over the ocean and the beach below the cliffs. The staff at Balila is very friendly and the chef cooks extraordinary breakfast, lunch and dinner, all organic and most of the herbs homegrown! Birgit is a lot of fun, we had a great time chatting with her! All in all we would definitely recommend her place and would return any time!

La vue est incroyable, le lieu extraordinaire et la nourriture excellente. Un véritable coup de cœur! Loin du côté touristique de l'île, cet endroit ravira les voyageurs en quête de sérénité.

It was like a dream to stay in Amed and in the beautiful Balila accommodation. my bed was with sea view and sunrise in the morning. The room was beautiful and lovly and very clean. Also the whole area in Balila is beautiful and relaxed and very quiet. In the morning you get a delicious breakfast from the very friendly stuff with sea view. Birgit and her husband Made are very polite, helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend to stay there.
