Exploring Balinese Heritage Mountain Retreat above Ubud left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Balinese Heritage Mountain Retreat above Ubud was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Payangan plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Balinese Heritage Mountain Retreat above Ubud painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Beautiful views
We stayed for more that 40 days in this beautiful house with its magnificent garden surrounding it. The house is perfectly decorated, a joy to live in. The house is located high up in the mountains at the edge of a small village. Cause of the altitude the temperatures are very mild....beautiful surroundings in which it is great to walk and trek It's a haven... And the staff is without compare. ..great cooks, great caretakers, do their utmost to Cater to your every wish.... Wayan, made, putu,dollar and agung: thanx again, was great. You made us feel like family. Transportation to e.g. Ubud is no problem. Great and secure driver btw. So highly recommended....
This villa was a beautiful experience. As the home is 45mins outside of Ubud, it is suited to families wanting to be away from the hustle and bustle and experience authentic Bali. We adored the amazing, changing view of the mountains as the clouds passed across the jungle each day. As we visited in January, the mornings were sunny for swimming in the large pool and then the rain would come in late afternoon and we relaxed and made the most of the incredible DVD and book library. The antique furniture and large well-established gardens were luxurious for our family of 4 - we would have been comfortable here with another family. The lovely staff cooked every meal for us and kept everything 100% spotless. The menu was great and everything we chose was delicious. The driver, Swetha was excellent - as a local he had great suggestions- we enjoyed our trip to Kintamani. We recommend this villa for families seeking resort-level luxury in a completely private and safe setting.
If you are looking for a remote private relaxing location I can happily recommend this residence. The staff managed by Wayan was more than capable of taking care for us. They did the cooking, taking care of the place and cooking very delicious food. We have no bad experience staying at the villa. Nearby there are no attractions but we did not want that. The included shuttle service by Agus was very nice. The driver was friendly and open for other trips as well. From the communication until the check out I cannot complain about anything. Visit the place yourself and get your own experience.
une expérience sans comparaison possible tellement cette maison,ses dépendances et son parc sont de toute beauté et de raffinement. un superbe endroit, une vue digne d'un décor de cinéma avec une maison à la décoration impeccable. L'équipe est au top niveau, discrète et disponible. Les services proposés sont parfaitsdont celui du chauffeur Sweta qui est lui aussi parfait et d'une gentillesse incroyable. Un superbe moment pour des vacances balinaises raffinées.

Miejsce odosobnione, dość daleko od Ubud, co może być zarówno plusem jak i minusem. Sporo czasu spędzaliśmy w samochodzie, ale to było tego warte. Miejsce przepiękne, spokojne, z cudownym widokiem i bardzo ciche. Willa przepiękna, oryginalna. Obsługa bardzo pomocna i życzliwa. Zdecydowanie polecam.

Pamela and Royal’s place is just fantastic. The weather up there in August is just fantastic - sun, blue sky and crisp mountain breeze!. Having outdoor breakfast every morning with cool breeze just gives you that energy and vigor. The place is big, 4 bedrooms and large living and indoor dining area for families and group gathering. But what made our stay great was the very attentive group led by Wayan. She and her team looked after us everyday. One of the best Airbnb we have ever stayed.
Heerlijk rustige plek en het personeel is gewoon waanzinnig. Altijd alles goed voorbereid en komen alle afspraken na. Zetten ook graag een stapje extra voor je.
Definitely the beautiful place we’ve ever been to. It is even more beautiful than on the pictures, magical! Excellent in-house meals, prepared and served with lots of love. Great massages, too. The staff is warmhearted and very helpful. It is easy to get around, very friendly drivers. Very spacious and clean villa and garden, fantastic view. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to come back soon. We highly recommend this place!
Puri Naga Toya is a beautiful peaceful paradise in the mountains north of Ubud. If you’re looking for beautiful views straight out of your bedroom, a lush and well maintained garden and pool and plenty outdoor dining space, this is it!
Paradise on Earth! The view is absolutely breathtaking, you feel immersed in nature. The villa and the garden are extremely well maintained. It is even better than in the pictures! The staff is lovely, discreet and Wayan was very helpful to organize everything. The villa is quite far from Ubud, not in km but in time. It takes at least 40min drive for 20km, but a shuttle is provided every day. We highly recommend to take the driver service (Wayan and Ajik were great - we were a group of 8 so 2 cars) to explore around and have some information about the local traditions. We recommend as well to have a massage at the beginning of the stay! We had one on the last day and regretted not having taken advantage of it all along our stay. You will feel zen and refreshed.
The villa is a delight very spacious and more importantly an interesting building, and the ornaments pictures, furniture are fascinating. The situation and view are wonderful. The gardens are beautiful and the view across the jungle valley to the volcanoes in the distance were truly amazing. The staff lead by Wayan ( the manager) were brilliantly helpful and friendly. So kind of her team to look after us all and fix up drivers (and the last minute laundry - thank you Wayan. And a special thank you to Wayan, for the cooking and the lesson you gave my wife. We shall look forward to cooking nasi goreng ourselves and remembering Bali. Thank you to Pamela and Royal for great comms in preparation and keeping us informed, just perfect for an Airbnb newby like me. I wanted a special holiday for my family and I am very pleased and lucky to have started it here in the extraordinary escape, with style in nature, in the beautiful island of Bali. Words won't do justice here. The surroundings are heaven and so good for the soul. Pamela and Royal were so welcoming and you can easily tell just how special this home is to them. The house is so special and easily feels like home but the staff were the absolute highlight for us. Staying for 2 weeks, they became like family and it was very hard to say goodbye. They really do know your needs before you do! The detail of service was 5 star and totally put other places of similar pricing to shame. They are the most beautiful people and we miss them already. Wayan, who drove us around was a blast and very helpful. Thank you Pamela and Royal for sharing your home with us, we all needed a place to heal and reunite after a crazy few years and Puri Naga Toya gave us all that and more. Fantastisk paradis væk fra støj og by os. Stedet er ekstraordinært, excentrisk, vidunderligt og smuk. Billederne er flotte, men virkeligheden er bedre. Vores børn elskede at løbe rundt på de små stier og gemme sig i haven. Pamela og Royal havde god dialog hele vejen fra booking til checkout og Wayan og hendes personale var next level. Vi kan ikke sætte en finger på noget. Priserne på mad og ydelser som massage er fair og ikke med “turisttillæg”. Nogle steder har man lyst til at besøge igen og dette er bestemt et af dem. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Villa. Wayan and the rest of the staff made sure everything was ready when we needed it and they were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, and the villa was breathtakingly beautiful. We would love to stay there again.
Our experience at Puri Naga Toya was truly a memory we will never forget. The home and location was stunning, and most importantly, the 5 staff members at the villa made our stay a million times better. The same could be said about the contracted drivers. They all elevated our visit to Bali and I highly recommend anyone wanted to visit bali to stay here. We will never forget them and the feeling of happiness this villa brought us everyday that we were there. The pictures are beautiful, but being there and seeing the beautiful architecture, landscape, and design choices are another thing. The staff memebers were so helpful, kind, and attentive to our families every needs. They went above and beyond to care for us and we will forever be thankful to them all. Our drivers also drove and guided us during the majority of our trip and I know there's no way we could've experienced all of Bali without their guidance. Overall, staying here and meeting the amazing staff made our trip memorable

Pamela's and Royal's villa was an incredible value. Gorgeous views, great hike and waterfall access, unbelievably attentive and thoughtful staff. They helped us rebook experiences, manage the airport transport required almost every day of our four night / five day stay, and prepared tasty and timely meals whenever we were at the villa. The wifi had gave us issues but honestly it made the experience much more mindful and present. (Plus they have a collection of I think literally thousands of TV shows and movies on DVD! Classics and modern.)
This villa is amazing and in such a nice location. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating going above and beyond to make our stay special!
Endroit magique dans les montagnes, grande villa magnifique, à l’écart de tout, au sein du Bali authentique, avec un personnel très chaleureux et aidant. Ils nous ont montré comment réaliser les offrandes par exemple et le chauffeur nous a emmené partout ! Merci pour ce très beau séjour en famille

the place is amazing that we wake up by the bird sings and frog. But don’t worry about the cleanness, the villa is truly sparkling clean. We visited the villa with parents. All of them love it, more better than their expects. Otherwise, the service is perfect. The villa manager is very helpful and kind. The meal they made is delicious especially the curry. If you have enough time, I strongly recommend you to stay the villa. Take a deep breath and relax is the only thing you need to do at Puri Naga Toya.

Expect a sensory overload! The view is constantly changing -morning mist and light illuminate the trees and make it seem as if the valley were breathing, afternoon light makes Mount Batu Karu glow amber, and at night you can see the constellations. The energy is palpable. Birdsong, the roar of the river below and the sound of leaves rustling in the wind are only made better by the passing car or motorbike reminding you that you still have access to civilisation. What a joy to be able to breathe in the cool mountain air and still order delicious meals, the kitchen staff truly spoilt us! Villa Puri Naga Toya, located in the mountains 40 minutes drive north of Ubud, is a gorgeous mix of modern and traditional Balinese architecture, one-of-a-kind antique furnishing, and stunning jungle and mountain views. Needless to say we absolutely loved out time there. My family and I, a party of five, stayed there for three weeks for Christmas and NY. We love Bali and enjoy coming back every year, this time however we wanted to escape the bustle and noise and really relax in peace and tranquility. Pamela's villa was just what we wanted. The AirBnB listing really does not do this villa justice, I recommend checking out their website for a fuller picture of just how relaxing, luxurious, and tranquil it is. Beyond the venue itself, it's the staff which really make the experience unforgettable. Our crew of six (including the driver) were everything we could have wanted and more - fun, friendly, genuinely loverly, and caring. We'll be back to Villa Puri Naga Toya just to see them again. If only we could have bought them all home with us. Thanks Pamala, Wayan, and the rest of the team for such a loverly experience. We'll be back to see you soon. Take care.
巴厘岛我已经来过2次，每次都是住5星酒店，感觉乏味了，订了个山顶的“艺术人生”，房东品味不俗，整套房子的艺术格调以及设施都是精挑细选的，配色和环境光都很考究.院子内的花草、悬崖的美景、小阳亭、起居室也有不同风格。我和先生两人租了三天，这三天正好是中国年！还有一天是情人节！我们提前预定了晚餐、山下买了酒.住在这里，整套房子都是我们的，非常私密！很浪漫！我们第一晚住在靠近悬崖的一间卧室休息，晚上屋顶有小鸟吧嗒吧嗒走，乘着光、引来很多小虫子，作为一直在城市居住的我们，显然惊到了，先生害怕想要去楼上那间卧室睡，我说这点小虫子没什么！立刻把桌上的灭虫剂打开，不一会儿，虫子都躺在地上了～！过一会儿 屋外大雨淋淋！野外生存的感觉，我睡了一个不能再好的觉！！这几天的休息非常好 ，十分安静。至于去玩，我们租3整天的车，司机服务很好，有一天去看火神舞表演回来晚了，夜里很窄的山路，过一个小沟有点颠簸，都要给我们说道歉！还没给我算加时费。第二天早上很早又来接我们去做瑜伽！这几天，我过的非常愉快！为私人定制的服务点赞！岛民虔诚的祈祷和赞美，让我获得巨大的力量！ 非常满意这次的居住、服务和游玩！一切都已经超出我的预想！！
A stay at Villa Puri Naga Toya is a dream. Prior to our sojourn, the communication with Pamela was absolutely great, and only enhanced by the kind attention of Wayan who actually called me before our arrival to make sure that we did not have any specific requests. Staying in Payangang is a moment spent in pure beauty: forget detox centers, rehabs or retreats, this place is IT: your senses will marvel at the incredible touches of deco/furnishing all around the villa, the superb gardens, and the ponds. The views alone are to be seen to be believed. Add to that, the kindness of the very attentive staff, and you're in Heaven. I certainly was, especially when I got to fall asleep every night to the gentle sound of the river down below and the chanting of a shaman in a valley nearby. An unbelievable value for money experience. Thank you Pamela, this was a treat !

This secluded and expansive villa is peace itself - breathtaking views, fabulous staff, garden and facilities, and an astonishing collection of antique furniture to make your stay an absolute pleasure. In our opinion, you don't really need to leave the area. We can recommend the Balinese banquet.
We stayed in the vila for one week and had a great time. We arrived in pouring rain and the staff came running out with umbrellas and big smiles on their faces. We where brought into the main house, which pictures do not even do justice. The morning after the sun was up and we where able to see the beautiful view from the backyard, again - pictures do not do it justice. Our whole stay in the house was relaxing and pleasant. Great breakfast outside every morning with beautiful flowers and plants, butterflies and birds all around you. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable about Bali and willing to help us out with all questions and needs. Thank you for having us in your beautiful home!
Hidden gem! Stunning location and very stylish residence. Breathtaking views! Furthermore the staff is extremely friendly and helpful in every respect to make your life comfortable. Away from the busy tourist areas, yet centrally located on Bali and therefore it is easy to go anywhere within reasonable time! Great location for families too, since they can host up to 8 people. I am very happy to have found Puri Naga Toya and would certainly recommend it if you are looking for an authentic Bali experience.
If you are looking for an escape from noise, chaos, and busyness, this is the villa for you. A 2.5 hour drive from the airport, and an hour from Ubud, makes this a beautifully remote mountain top destination. Our host Pamela was wonderful and available during our 10 month email communication leading up to our stay at the villa. She was accommodating, communicative and available for any and all questions. Even though we never met, she made me feel like a lifelong friend. No amount of photo's will ever do this villa justice. From its authentic architectural design to its spectacular furnishings, this is "7 star" luxury at its best. The amenities are exquisitely clean, every towel and pillow available, and the linen is supremely fantastic. You lack no amount of comfort in every room and corner. The garden is spacious (massive), magnificently natural, and very private. The garden is one to be explored and enjoyed. We saw many birds and the most beautiful butterflies during our stay. Every room has a magnificent view of this green paradise, and sitting anywhere in the villa gives you exposure to same. Receiving a private massage at the villa (Pre-discussed with the host) is highly recommended. The masseuse will arrive at the villa and make you truly experience, (whether in the beauty of the garden, or your room) and create paradise in your "own" space. We shared this experience with our children aged 8 & 11, and friends. We felt at home and comfortable. Every desire was catered for and and the whole experience felt natural, and we felt at home, in a home and country that is so far removed from our own. The fully stocked and comfortable library with interesting reads on all topics, to the extensive DVD collection makes it an absolute joy on a rainy afternoon. These rooms also cater to your luxury experience and are very comfortable. The doors from the TV room/library lead onto the most lush and beautiful garden and can stay open as the rain pours down next to you. An experience I cannot go back to in my imaginiation enough. The staff, Wayan, Dolar, Made, Putu, and Agung welcome you warmly and instantly make you their family. The food, both included and not included, is delicious. Our dinner on arrival was catered exactly as requested and was all done via email with the host. We had the most interesting local fruit (explained by the staff) and supplied for our comfort and stay. The staff were made aware of my allergies from the host prior to our arrival and adhered to same without my asking. They are all attentive, extremely friendly, great English speakers, and always know your needs before you do, even when you are seeking privacy. We cannot say enough about this team - THEY WERE WONDERFULLY JOYFUL. I think the phrase that we all used to sum this villa and experience up; "PARADISE ON EARTH"
First of all - this property is incredible, photos cannot possibly do it justice! The villa is located in a village 45 minutes outside of Ubud and is perfect for groups looking for a relaxing escape. My family of 6 spent Christmas here and we couldn't have been happier. The communication with Pamela was great and she provided us with a lot of helpful tips and recommendations for our stay before our arrival. We did not meet in person but the staff was very helpful and did everything in their power to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
This is a place for remote relaxation with discreet service from the staff of 05. My family was pampered with the beautiful views of sunsets and mountains, the sounds of rosters in the morning, and the refreshing breadth of fresh air. The amenities provided were luxurious, and the meals prepared by Ms Wayan were delicious. This is the place for you if you like to be pampered and be away from the crowd.
This is an absolutely wonderful place! Its about 40 minutes from Ubud, and about an hour to the volcano to the north, so its a great base to see the whole area. The house itself is amazing and the location is out of this world! The views into the valley behind the house were hard not to stare at all day long. Best of all were the people at the house. Wayan and her staff were excellent in every way. They were great to talk to, patient with the kids, great cooks, etc. You will need to arrange transportation, since the house isn't in town, but the company they use was perfect, and our driver, Made, was a great source of information and also very safe. We had a wonderful trip and would definitely go again!
Our stay at Puri Naga Toya was amazing to say the least! The views were breath taking, and the photos do not it justice. The decor was beautiful and there was a lot of attention put into every detail of the villa. The property is quite large and there is lots of space if you are coming with a group or family. The staff took very good care of us and we would love to come back and stay again. thanks you everyone for our wonderful stay!
