Exploring Bamboo Retreat • Pool Lounge • Five Ensuite Rooms left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Bamboo Retreat • Pool Lounge • Five Ensuite Rooms was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Umalas plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Bamboo Retreat • Pool Lounge • Five Ensuite Rooms painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful. The greenery, decor, and architecture are stunning. It exceeded expectations in that regard. Unfortunately, during my stay there was a serious safety and security concern involving a missing personal item that was only recovered under unexpected circumstances. While I’m relieved it was returned, the situation was stressful and impacted my overall sense of comfort and trust during the stay. Because of this experience, the property did not fully meet expectations despite its beauty.

Everything was good, true to pics. Only thing to improve on is the house keeping - sheets & towels weren't changed daily so towels were often wet from swimming & showering. Also, there were mosquitos in the bed room so hard to sleep properly at night.

Perfect for a group of friends. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. Each room perfect for 2 people. The pool was huge and beautifully surrounded with plants and nature. The living space was also nice to chill and hangout. Overall the Airbnb was well maintained as per the description and images and was a great experience and would definitely recommend !
We had a great stay at Villa Annabelle! There isn’t much around and it’s about a 15 minute Gojek to most places. The house had a great pool and staff were absolutely lovely. All bedrooms are a good size and have a bathroom
The Villa was very nice and really enjoyed the stay, was clean in a good location and a few lovely cafes local to the Villa. However we did have one problem with money getting taken out of the room, and we never got to the bottom of it. It’s hard to point fingers and say who taken the money, I did have my suspicions but couldn’t say for sure who it was.

The villa is so beautiful, each room has its own unique style. We love the style and how spacious it is. It is even prettier than the picture. There are convenience store and restaurant in walkable distance, which we love. However the water supply was stopped in the first day and it takes around 2 hours to fixed. Only 2 of us finished bathing while other 4 of us with shampoo/ soap with them… The capacity of villa is 10, only 6 of us should not overload the water tank/water supply, we were not happy about it.
Had a lovely stay with my friends. Good communal spaces with a fun layout and design. Filter water provided! Very helpful host and lovely staff. Only issues were lots of mosquitoes, particularly in the master bedroom, and the pool was slightly more worn out than shown in the pictures. Overall, we had a great time :))

We had an absolutely amazing time at Villa Annabelle as a group of 11. The team that look after the Villa are incredibly friendly and nothing was too much of an effort. My only negative would be that the pool needs to be repaired - lights inside the pool have dislodged and wiring exposed under water, concrete is chipped around the pool and in the pool itself, a couple of people in our group accidentally got cuts. I wouldn’t hesitate booking this villa again once the pool has been repaired.
We had a good stay at villa Annabelle, A few things that I will note for people reading this, the master shower did not work properly as the main shower head was broken, the fridge and freezer we got told on arrival wasn’t working, the outside area is nice but if it rains it comes straight into the communal area and gets very slippery. Around the pool the tiles are cracked and one of our members cut there toe. The surrounding area is quiet and to get around to cafes and restaurants you will require transport. In saying this the villa was clean, nice and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and had breakfast cooked most mornings which was good! Thanks for the good stay villa Annabelle

Het is een mooie villa met vriendelijk personeel! Ruimtelijk, mooie kamers en alles prima te bereizen met de lokale taxi’s. Het is wel zo dat er echt wel wat onderhoud rondom het zwembad gedaan moet worden.
Pros: The villa is beautiful and looks just like the photos. The villa manager and staff were very friendly and helpful throughout checking process as well as throughout our stay. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom which and there is a shared powder room off the living area. Housekeeping came through daily and cleaned as well as replaced linen and towels. Kitchen with fridge/oven/stove and other appliances. Pool table was a lot of fun during rainy season. Security at the villa from 7pm - 7am Cons: The only living area is an indoor/outdoor type area, so the wind would blow the rain throughout this area on rainy days. It would be nice if some basic food items such as milk, coffee, etc were provided by the host. The beds were a little hard for our preferences. The villa was a little hard to find as we arrived at night and it is down a long driveway with no signage along the road to identify it. No footpaths along the roads and minimal cafes/restaurants nearby. Hard to get taxi.

Lovely property, nicely appointed rooms. Quite well located in between Seminyak and Canggu. A few issues with sparrows nesting in bamboo rafters. Also floor is very smooth (slippery) so is a watch out for families with young kids.
Thanks to Fajar and team. Sintha was very helpful with my queries and requests from day one. Its a shame that the pool still needed to undergo more maintenance checks as it was quite dirty. Apart from that, the villa architecture and design is spectacular. Almost every corner of the villa is instagrammable. Location is also pretty decent. Laundry service just outside the villa. Minimart a few meters away along with some cafes!
Best Airbnb any of us had ever stayed at. Staff were lovely and the was the most beautiful home i could of imagined. Was even better than the photos. Was also extremely convenient as there there was many great shops and cafes/ restaurants right at the top of the street. Extremely convenient for transport to both Canggu and Seminyak and area was very quiet with no construction noise or anything to wake u up. Overall was a 10/10 villa and would highly recomend
The villa was all good. The rooms are clean. The toilet is clean. The pool was huge. Only need to be prepared with mosquitoes. Some how they prepared mosquitoes repellents and everything. The vibe was good. All was fantastic 🔥

Great villa in a quiet location just perfect for our family gathering. Supermarkets, Padel club, coffee and local eats close by. Streets are busy and narrow but that’s just part of Bali.
The villa is exactly like the photos! It was spotless and comfortable. The only note is of the water pressure. The showers were very soft and had inconsistent hot water. But it didn't worry us because everything else was perfect. I would be very happy to stay here again.
The Villa was stunning, exactly like the pictures. The host was helpful answering all questions and very flexible with late check-in/check-out. The House manager and everyone helping keep the villa tidy were super kind and welcoming. We had clean rooms everyday, the whole group was pleased with the exceptional service. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful stay
Our stay with Fajar was fantastic, the place was amazing and all the staff were incredibly helpful and made sure out stay was as comfortable as possible. The place was very clean and was maintained well every day we were there. The surrounding area felt quite secluded so you weren't interrupted by neighbours, with plenty of restaurants and amenities close by. Would love to stay again in the future!

Amazing Villa, exactly like the photos. Right next to a K korner so very convenient. Security man was awesome and so helpful. Cleaners were all so nice and helpful. Ade the villa manger was so lovely as well. Highly recommend
We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay at Villa Annabelle in Canggu. Everything was as described, and we had a wonderful time. Communication was very easy, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and accommodating. We really liked the rooms and the luxurious feel of the villa, and the outdoor area, especially the pool, was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the villa.

Great stay with one small issue The villa is beautiful, very clean, and in a peaceful location. The pool and outdoor spaces are perfect for relaxing. The only downside was the hot and cold water—it didn’t mix well, which made showers a bit tricky. Other than that, everything was excellent, and I’d still recommend this place.

Great location! Lovely villa that is always neat and tidy everyday. Really appreciate the villa manager that run some errands for us (e.g. laundry) and the security guard that opens the door for us, receive our deliveries etc. really gives us a peace of mind My friends and i enjoyed the communal area a lot, we gather around every night to hang out and play games. They were also flexible and accommodating to our travel arrangements Overall, i would book villa Annabelle again if i were to travel in a big group!

We had a great time at this villa. Perfect for spending our boys trip. The circle K and great coffee place up the road was a great addition. Would recommend.
Fajar and the team were amazing! The villa is so so beautiful and looks even better in real life… the pool was kept clean daily and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The only very minor issue which wasn’t Fajar or the team’s fault was construction from 8am next door. All in all and absolutely amazing villa, a hidden oasis with lots of privacy.
We had an amazing time staying at Villa Annabelle. It was a quiet, private house where we were able to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There were beautiful views of the sunrise everyday and plenty of space for everyone. Would stay there again!
Villa Annabelle was a fabulous large building with a great pool and common area. Bedrooms were spacious- each with a bathroom. Location was great- 5min Gojek into Umalas restaurants or 15min into Seminyak. Also an absolutely lovely small place to eat right across the road from the villa as well as a smaller Circle K supermarket next door. Great place- would def stay again.
Villa Annabelle was the perfect place to celebrate my wife's birthday in Bali! It was beautiful, breathtaking, warm and cozy. Our friends joined us and the rooms were big enough for 10 people. The layout and architecture was exquisite. We also enjoyed the pool, which was clean and had the right water temperature to enjoy the tropical climate. Our host, Fajar, was very gracious and accommodating. His team was very warm and friendly, always available when we had inquiries. Highly recommend for big groups who love to travel together. Our staycation has been easily our best yet.

Fajar's villa was amazing! We felt like we were at a resort while staying in the Villa. There are lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance. When driving up to the villa you wouldn't think that this gem is behind the gate. The staff was very helpful and responsive as well as accommodating to our needs. There is some construction going on next door so no need for an alarm clock they will wake you up in the morning. I highly recommend this villa. Just know that by most of the villa being opened to the outdoors you may see some interesting guests that didn't pay to stay!

Ms Ade and the staff were amazing, provided us with fast responses to any question arranged a private chef. this stay was amazing and was so comfortable and welcome.
Can’t complain about anything. Staff came everyday to clean the area and all of our mess. All staff were very nice and the place is awesome.
Our stay in Bali was to celebrate a friend’s 30th birthday and the staff and the villa were incredible. From the warm welcome we received to the recommendations and advice throughout our trip and they even arranged for a cake to be delivered on the morning of my friends birthday. I would also like to say a special thank you to the security guards that worked over night they were incredibly friendly and with their job it’s quite easy for them to unintentionally make you feel like you’re being watched but it was completely the opposite and we always felt like our belongings were completely safe while we were out. If you could pass on our thanks that would be great. As for the villa itself it’s a beautiful property allowing you to feel completely cut off from the outside world when you want to relax but being close to shops, restaurants, and activities when you decide to go out. If you’re thinking about booking this villa I wouldn’t hesitate

The villa is amazing, even better than the photos. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our family really enjoyed their stay and we will be back!! Also, I read some reviews about there being holes in the concrete in the pool but the pool has been recently renovated with new tiles and it was amazing for our young children to swim in.

Amazing private villa with very friendly and helpful staff. We had security provided overnight so we always felt safe and secure. My friends and I can't wait to come again! :)
I organized a group of 10 vacationers to Bali, many of which it was their first time. Everyone had an amazing experience, and the staff was very helpful to make us meals every morning, and provide recommendations for things like scooter rentals. It's a beautiful space, excellent for a bonding experience with a group of close friends, and an extra media room for privacy which was nice to have when quiet was needed. The location was convenient close to Canggu and Seminyak, and I would stay here again

Super satisfied with the villa! It’s squeaky clean, near supermarket and easy to find. Complete cutleries and kitchen equipment, huge fridge too! Super responsive manager. When we asked about the villa, Ade , the villa manager replied within minutes. Super happy and satisfied! Will recommend to friends and family if you’re looking around the Canggu / Seminyak area

Really lovely, lush villa. Lots of space, wonderful pool, each room was spacious. There are mosquitoes but that’s to be expected given all the greenery around. All the staff are so friendly as well.

The Villa is exactly as depicted but even better in person. The host is very responsive on messages and even helped us organise airport transfers. The villa is a short car ride away from all the popular spots in Canggu as well. Highly recommend booking! P.S Despite having open air bathrooms (some rooms) and the open living space, there were no bugs and lizards to be found!
I had an incredible stay at this beautiful villa. The staff was exceptionally helpful throughout my visit, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The villa itself was amazing, with a breathtaking set up and a tranquil atmosphere. I couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended!
Our stay at the villa was amazing! We were with 5 couples, every bedroom was spacious and beautiful. The staff (guard, house keeping, garden) made our stay even better, they were so kind and took great care of us. In Canggu everything is quite scattered so you need to take the taxi (or other transport) anyways. Just take into account a min. Of 20 min to get somewhere. Closer by are nice places too!

We love our stay. Beautiful picture perfect property. Lovely staff & we love the convenient laundry service ! The only down side, there was a lot of mosquitoes. Though they provided mosquitos repellent incense but not really working. My daughter have reaction due to many mosquito bites.
This Canngu villa was so amazing, Looks exactly like the pictures. We had so much fun staying here. The pool was incredible. I wish we stayed here longer. The location was good. We just took a scooter everywhere. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This has been a fantastic stay at Fajar’s villa. I’ve stayed in many airbnbs around Bali and this was one of my favorite out of them. The design was beautiful, you feel immersed in nature with the beautiful gardens within the villa. Extremley spacious, many rooms, and the place was very clean! Location was great because its between canggu and seminyak so we can go to both places. Just a short drive to those places and the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Enjoyed the stay! The villa is very nice and big. Could even get a private yoga session for my group in the villa through them at an affordable rate!
We really enjoyed the villa. It was just likt the pictures! The staff was amazing. I will definitely come back it was plenty of space for us. The breakfast was great each morning and the presentation was phenomenal.

We spent a week at the beautiful Villa Annabelle and could not have been happier with our stay and the service provided. All of the staff - host, housekeeping and security alike - were fantastic, friendly and extremely accomodating. The location was central to both Seminyak and Canggu, with only a short car or scooter ride to either location, without being too close to the actual hustle and bustle of the main streets. The villa was a quiet, private oasis that we felt comfortable and at home in. We could have easily spent our entire stay laying around the beautiful pool and garden! This is an excellent choice for a larger group of friends or family/families. We never felt cramped and the architectural design of the villa as well as the styling/decorating really captured the Bali resort retreat atmosphere. I cannot recommend Villa Annabelle and it’s lovely staff highly enough! We will definitely be back!
Lovely villa, pool starting to chip around edges but very stunning. Great communication. Not walking distance to shops in Main Street but can scooter 10 minutes. Construction next door but not too bad. Would definitely stay again :)

The Annabelle Villa is well maintained, you can tell from the every corner of the villa. Complete cutleries and amenities. What i love the most they have dirty kitchen and clean kitchen. Beautiful and different design tropical vibes, and all I see is green surrounding make it feel like home. Friendly host and responsive staff :) thank you
Great stay! Would highly recommend. Beautiful building, fantastic space, bedrooms were lovely! 10 min scooter ride from Seminyak and Canggu. Staff were amazing, they couldn’t do enough. They organised yoga for us, trip to Ubud, laundry and any questions about the property or general recommendations. They were fantastic! Thank you very much to everyone for a great stay!

Beyond expectations.. this place was unbelievable.. I cannot wait to stay again. The pool was incredible and all bedrooms might as well have been a master bedroom! The staff were so helpful, we had the best few days for a surprise 30th and the staff were so accommodating. Thank you!

Stunning private villa! Felt very clean, modern and safe. Has everything you need. Host was responsive and helpful. Beds were very clean and extremely comfortable. Options for private chefs and on call massage/spa services at an additional cost. During our stay the water went out for several hours. The host has maintenance there fixing it within the hour and it was able to be fixed by the end of the day. Host was polite and appropriately compensated us. Would recommend and stay there again!
Our staying in annabelle was just so amazing.. I still cant move on even until we leave the villa.. the price is so affordable

This place is amazing, it’s away from the hustle and craziness, it’s beautiful, spacious for a large group and every room was wonderfully decorated. It was close to minimart and local breakfast spots. I’d highly recommend hiring scooters around this area as it’s not so busy. Thank you for your wonderful stay. 5 stars ⭐️
