Exploring Bamboo Turtle cabin river view 5km to Ubud center left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Bamboo Turtle cabin river view 5km to Ubud center was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Kecamatan Ubud plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Bamboo Turtle cabin river view 5km to Ubud center painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Staying in bamboo turtle is the biggest disappointment of our Bali trip. The location is inconvenient. Although it’s 5 km away from the city center, it takes 40-50 min by scooter due to the traffic. And since there is no restaurants nearby, it’s very inconvenient to get food. The place is not as pretty as in the photo. The swimming pool is extremely dirty and even the staff would tell you not to swim there. (They said it’s because of the heavy rains but during my 3 days there, the pool stays as dirty as the first day.) You can also expect min level of service from the host. For the same price, you can definitely have much better environment, food, and service in any other hotel in Ubud.

hi great place for a night or 2. beautiful Green jungle wall to wake up to. really friendly helpful staff. we were enamoured with there cats bamboo and turmeric... but a week was probably too long for us as we really were hoping to chill out without going anywhere... that is not possible here...there are not many food options available apart from warung across rd which we ate at a few times for lunch. so you need to go into ubud for lunch and dinner... which is about 30 minutes away in traffic. also if you have any mobility issues this is not the place for you. unfortunately wife had hurt back a bit and navigating the stairs was really tricky for her.

best place to stay. one suggestion only someone need their after 8:00pm. there is no security or reception staff after 8:00pm. great area and peaceful atmosphere

the staff were nice and the bungalow was great. the view is very nice if you're a fan of nature. it does come with some drawback honestly... we did find crawlers in the bathroom because it was open, and the big lizard was singing the whole night. if you don't mind these, then this stay will be great for you. it's still in the middle of nature so you should expect that.

Amazing location, in the middle of the forest. Very quiet environment with a place next to the river dedicated for the massages. Wayan and her team were very kind, respectful, and always taking care of their customers ! Which leads to a wonderful stay :) I highly recommend

Fantastische twee dagen gehad in de Treehouse. Service van de host was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook massages, scooters en excursies zijn makkelijk te boeken. Als je even weg wilt van alle drukte is dit een heerlijke plek om een paar dagen door te brengen!

Overall good. Just that the bathroom can be cleaned when the room is cleaned and with fresh towels.

We stayed at this bnb for 2 nights, it was a great experience to be here. they also have a river flowing side of the pool, it's beautiful. The Hut was kept super clean and the breakfast they serve is wholesome and local cuisine. If you love cats you are in for a treat, there are house cats which are super friendly! We also rented bikes with them, it was super convenient and good for the price we paid! over-all amazing stay.

It is peacefull and secluded location, close to the main road, but still quiet. You are between the tress, next to the river, so it is really relaxing. The staff is attending and really helpfull. Good breakfast, with option to try local typical food. Altogether place to recommend to everbody who wants to be close to Ubud, but away from all the noise, trafic and crowds of people.

Both myself and my partner adored Bamboo Turtle Eco Lodge. The environmental ethos was a big plus for us. The lodge is located a half hour drive from Ubud Village and the treehouses are located in a beautiful, tranquil location overlooking a river and surrounded by jungle. The rooms are beautifully presented, allowing guests to be one with nature. Waking to sunshine and bird song was a daily treat. The lodges are fully serviced by lodge staff, with a kettle, tea & coffee provided in the rooms. Breakfast is part of the cost and served in reception, where a very reasonably priced bar with snacks is also available. The lodge doesn't provide a dinner service yet the friendly staff are happy to recommend local places within walking distance. Our favoured was Eka Wood. There is a spa and guest pool overlooking the river; afternoon use is recommended. The area is well known for artisan woodwork and wholesale jewellery shops and Tegenungan Falls are a 15 minute drive away. Highly recommended!

Sehr empfehlenswert und traumhaft. Alles sauber und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Mitten in der Natur. Kein anderer Lärm nur die Natur. Kostenloses Wasser vorhanden. Getränke oder sonstiges können im Kühlschrank in der Lobby aufbewahrt werden. Wayan und ihr Team sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kommunikation unkompliziert per WA. Landry Service vorhanden und nicht teuer. Frühstück kann aus vier Varianten ausgewählt werden und sehr lecker. Ketut der Fahrer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Verkehr ist nicht zu unterschätzen. Für 8 km nach Ubud braucht man in der Rushhour fast 1h. Wir würden wieder kommen!!!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Bamboo Turtle ecolodge. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and helped us with anything we needed. The bungalow was cosy, comfortable bed and the semi-outdoor bathroom was really nice, especially the shower. I was very impressed with how clean it was also. It was great to feel close to nature with the surrounding jungle and to relax on the balcony with a book or swim in the pool next to the river. I thought there would be more bugs and mosquitoes coming into the bungalow, especially at night but there were hardly any. The included Balinese breakfast was delicious also. My only regret is that I didn’t book a longer stay!

This accommodation was the last stop from our trip, because we wanted to really relax the last few days and it was just the perfect stay for it! The surrounding is so calm and green, if you lay at the pool you can listen to the nature and the river right next to it and just forget everything else. It was really amazing. Furthermore the house is absolutely stunning & clean. As well Outstanding was the friendliness of the people, even for anyways friendly Indonesians. You‘ll arrange everything with Wayan. She’s always near by, easy to reach out to and fulfills every wish and as well as every other member of the team she’s really remarkable kind. All in all 10/10. no negative feedback to give. :)

Everything is perfect in this bnb. The lodge and the room are beautiful and well maintained. The host and her staff are always available with plenty of informations and ready to help. Good breakfast too!

Wayana und alle anderen Mitarbeiter waren tolle gastgeber, sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist etwas weit weg vom Geschehen jedoch kann man in der Unterkunft einen Roller mieten, wodurch man überall schnell hinkommt. Es ist wirklich ein wunderbares Ambiente und eine einzigartige Unterkunft.

Beautiful room (very well decorated) and bathroom, with nice balcony overlooking the jungle and hammock available. Clean, comfortable and exactly as per photos. The surroundings are peaceful, with a nice pool overlooking the river. Staff is amazing, Wahan in particular was very helpful (even gave me a lift to a spa in ubud) with great sense of hospitality and service. Helpful and friendly owner too. Breakfast was really good. No restaurants on site (but a few options nearby, although better food options in Ubud that is half hour away by scooter (grab or go jet). Definitely recommend checking out this place.

This is a piece of paradise. We loved all this beautiful place had to offer. The bamboo turtle cabin had every modern service but it sits comfortably into the forest. You can sit or lie on the hammock and listen to the sound of the forest and the river down below. Swim if you want in the pool at the river's edge. A delicious breakfast was served by our friendly, kind and gentle hosts. Yoga and massage are also available here. I can't wait to go back, in fact I would happily stay for ever!

Beautiful and carefully designed Eco bamboo huts directly next to the river. The lodge is quiet and nestled in lush green although easily accessible from the main road. Loved the Indonesian breakfast as well as taking a dip in the pool with the beautiful butterflies all around!

Wij hebben onwijs genoten van de lodge. Wayan en Kedak stonden echt de hele tijd voor ons klaar en wilde ons overal bij helpen. Het personeel is lief en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is lekker en altijd naar je voorkeur. De eco lodge bevindt zich op een rustige plek waardoor jezelf ook tot rust kan komen. Wij zouden het zeker aanraden en nogmaals boeken.

Would book again, if back in if ever back in Bali. Highly recommended, breakfast was beautiful every day. Stay here if you can.

Fantastic lush place! A pool to cool down by the river and they are happy to arrange yoga or massage for you. Lots of places to eat outside and the staff could not be more helpful.

the moment we arrived we were in awe. this is a beautiful property and even though it is only 100 yards off the road, you feel miles away in your own oasis. the staff are very friendly. the grounds are beautiful and relaxing . we had an excellent driver (Ketut), who took us to amazing restaurants and showed us all around the area. You cannot walk to restaurants, but one of the drivers lives right there and is available to be your guide

I cannot recommend this place enough! It was beautiful, so well thought out, the staff were all incredibly kind, and the location was very peaceful and private. Easily our favourite place to stay in Ubud. We did the massage and yoga class in-house and it was fantastic.

An amazing place to stay with beautiful nature. Dipping in the river in front of the pool was amazing. Since we entered the gate Bambo Turtle Ecolodge, we felt like we were inside the jungle and we forgot the city noises for the whole stay. All you could hear is birds, crickets, frogs and the water of the river. Regarding the staff, you will meet the most welcoming and friendly people ever. Thank you Ibu Wayan, Riko, Anton and Ina.

Arrivées de nuit après un long voyage nous avons trouvé cet endroit parfait pour arriver . Calme, paisible et surtout personnel très agréable et prévenant. Très bon petit déjeuner Très belle chambre avec vue sur la jungle. UBUD a une vingtaine de minutes en scooter ce qui permet de voir les alentours. Parfait

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. My husband is not a fan of the outdoors but he was very comfortable here for the 3 nights. The staff are super friendly and helpful - booked in some massages and yoga lessons and everything was super clean. Such a peaceful location - I can’t wait to come back with my mom!

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits der Straße an einem kleinen Fluss. Dadurch ergibt sich von Anfang an eine private Atmosphäre. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Wayan mit einem kleinen Getränk empfangen. Sie hat uns dann zu den etwas weiter unten gelegenen Bambushütten, die mit ihrem Balkon zum Fluss ausgerichtet sind, gebracht und uns alles ausführlich gezeigt. Auf den Zimmern gibt es eine Klimaanlage und Ventilator, sodass es im Raum immer angenehm bleibt. Direkt am Fluss liegt der kleine Pool. Der Pool ist schön kühl und sauber. Wayan ist eine sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeberin und immer erreichbar.

Had a lovely time staying here as well as waking up to a delicious Balinese breakfast every morning in stunning surroundings.

Wayan was wonderful during our stay! She provided great recommendations and connected us with an awesome driver. I wish we could have stayed longer. We even saw a local monkey walking by the pool and the villas kitties were entertaining. It was SO helpful and a relief to have drinking water available to fill our bottles with instead of having to continually buy bottled water. The villas are incredible and so thoughtfully put together.

From arriving, we felt very comfortable and cared for. They provided a complimentary turmeric drink and welcomed us right in. The lodge itself is homey and quiet. Nice outdoor bathroom and great balcony overlooking the nature. Birds everywhere, quiet, and the pool by the river is a cherry on top. Breakfasts every morning were lovely and we will miss our time there greatly!

The best place you can stay in Ubud!!! We cannot recommend this ecolodge enough, it felt like home. Wayan was the most welcoming and friendly host, we really appreciated everything she did. The breakfast was wonderful and cooked fresh, the property is so peaceful, and all the staff are amazing.

Ganz tolle Unterkunft, pure Natur mit ganz viel Liebe angelegtes, ruhiges Plätzchen. Wir wurden sehr gut empfangen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolles Frühstück. Ketut hat uns sicher überall hingefahren. Relativ nah zu Ubud und dennoch abgelegen. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

The welcome by Wayan and rest of team was amazing, the hut was so cute and cozy, decorated so nicely. loved the hammock on the balcony and view over the forest. Everything about this place was pretty amazing. We enjoyed everything single detail during our stay. We went out and explored but the place is so magical you could spend every second there.

Wir waren 3 Tage dort und konnten die Magie von ubut aufnehmen. Das Zimmer ist ein Traum und der Poolbereich auch super. Beim Empfang wurden wir mit einem willkomensdrink begrüßt und wir wurden über das Frühstück aufgeklärt. Das Balinesische Frühstück ist sehr gut, kann ich nur empfehlen. Unsere Gastgeberin hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und ich habe mich sehr wohl bei ihr gefühlt. Sie bieten auch die Möglichkeit Roller zu mieten um so die Gegend besser zu erkundigen. Ich kan allgemein die Unterkunft empfehlen, bei uns war es super da es nicht viele Touristen hatte. Liebe Wayane es war wirklich ein Traum bei dir, danke für alles. Liebe Grüsse aus der Schweiz

The place was very nice and peaceful, we loved how you could hear the river and animals when waking up. The location is a bit far from restaurants and quite a drive to Ubud when there’s traffic, but if your looking for something more private and away from the busyness this is a perfect spot! We loved it :)

This is a great stay away from the crowd of Ubud. While it is a very short Gojek ride away from Ubud central, do not expect much from the immediate surrounding area. The driveway to the accommodation is very easy to miss and almost all our drivers missed the turn in. It is a lovely stay surrounded by nature and the nearby river. The staff are also very quick to respond even after 6pm. The toilet is very comfortable. Breakfast is provided.

Absolutely amazing stay, a beautiful and peaceful location that is just by the road but somehow so secluded at the same time. Easy to get to Ubud centre from, definitely hire a scooter for the stay to make things easier. The room was clean and cleaned every day, bed is super comfy and the room is designed beautifully. Pool is gorgeous and right next to a stream. The bathroom was the highlight for me, being an outdoor shower, fitting the vibe of the place perfectly, was awesome overall, much recommend!

This treehouse just south of Ubud was a great value and an even more amazing stay! Wayan was beyond welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. She arranged a car for me to an excursion one day, prepared delicious fare for breakfast each morning, and was beyond attentive throughout my stay. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or more serene surroundings.

Peaceful and great stay with a wonderful view! Wayan is super helpful and helped with early breakfast during checkout. Sounds of the stream, insects and birds make it like free headspace :) Brownie points for being super eco friendly and the lovely smelling mosquito repellant. 10 min walk to Sthala for happy hours 4-6pm or 9-10pm.

Wow! We had the most incredible time at the Bamboo Turtle Eco Lodge. Wayan and the other staff members were so wonderful and friendly - we always felt so well cared for. This location is beyond beautiful. We were very at peace - the surroundings were stunning. Easy and affordable access to scooters made getting to local attractions a breeze but we loved the lodge so much it was tempting to simply stay there for the entirety of our time there. 15/10 stars! I hope to come back again.

I loved staying in this villa. There was plenty of peace and the space was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and tended to my needs. The villa was clean and well kept and the pool spotless. It is about an half an hour to get to Ubud but worth being away from the crowded city center.

This place is heaven on earth! It’s a bit out of town and therefore quiet and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful and that dreamy balcony with the hammock make it hard to leave your room 😊 I spent a lot of time reading and listening to nature sounds on that balcony. The staff are all extremely professional, friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be back for another tranquil experience!

The stay was wonderful. Wayan welcomed us with a friendly warm welcome. She was very knowledgeable and helped us with any thing we needed for our stay. A bit far from the main center of Ubud if you are trying to walk around to visit shopping and restaurants. but the host made it very easily to find transport or arrangements if you need food or to explore. Upon check in, she ordered us food so we did not arrive hungry as it was very late. She also made sure we had breakfast ready before our activities in the morning. Love the service and hospitality here!

Wayan was the most perfect host! She is so kind and is passionate about what she does! The breakfast she prepared for us was very good and a great glimpse into Balinese culture! You were also able to book massages and day tours through Wayan which was very convenient. The villa was just as described and just like the pictures! I have no complaints. The absolute best part of the whole stay was their neighbor, Ketut who not only picked us up from the airport, but was our personal driver for our whole trip. He was so kind and gave us the best recommendations on activities and food. Thank you Ketut for making our first trip to Bali unforgettable!!

This place reminds me of Ubud the first time I visited back in 1999. Lodtunduh is a stone’s throw from the bustling Ubud, so ideal for those whole Ubud yet prefer the calm of a village. Arma museum is very close, a must see! The lodges here, the pool by the river, the jungle views…all very soothing to the eye. There are several breakfast options and warungs at walking distance for lunch and dinner. Very gentle staff! Highly recommended.

The bamboo turtle ecolodge was a very peaceful stay. If you’re looking for something out of the hustle and bustle and just in the plain natural beauty and jungle this is the place! The staff are very helpful and friendly and kept the villas and common areas very clean. Pictures do not do justice, we will definitely come back!

This place is a beautiful, eco conscious oasis full of thoughtful details and an amazing staff! Ms. Wayan and our driver, Pak were the highlights of our stay! With only 5 treehouses, you are guaranteed a quiet and peaceful experience. Breakfast is served every morning and you get the option of a traditional Balinese breakfast, or western style. Need a driver to get to activities? Pak is your guy! We didn’t have much planned this time around, and Pak made some wonderful and unique suggestions and really added enrichment to our trip! We loved the simplicity and natural elegance of this listing and look forward to staying here again!

Het verblijf is prachtig en voorzien van alle gemakken. Het bed slaapt heerlijk. We hadden eerst geen warm water in de douche, maar dit is meteen gemaakt toen we het aangaven.

Wonderful place with gentle, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely gardens with dancing butterflies and playful kittens. Comfortable and clean — A little slice of paradise on the river, a tiny village of bamboo turtle-houses tucked in amongst the jungle. Beautiful.

Super logement. Bien aménagé, construit avec soin et intelligence. La localisation est également parfaite pour profiter, calme et relaxation au programme. Tout proche des attractions touristiques et pourtant assez éloigné pour éviter toute turbulence de la ville. Je recommande !

Amazing place with such a kind group of staff. There's really nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect! Breakfast is included and we really loved the sweet balinese one. We also got to rent a scooter from the lodge to move around. Oliver and the staff also knows about a lot of nice places that is worth a visit. We would love to come back :)

We arrived early to the Bamboo Turtle Ecolodge and we’re greeted by the owner and manager. Wayan gave us a welcome drink and offered us more drinks that we could purchase during our stay whilst we waited. Wayan gave us a great explanation of the facilities and offered us two types of breakfasts included within the price. With breakfast you can also get a smoothie, water and French press coffee or tea. We were given the number for Ketut the local guide and driver whom was excellent! He gave us recommendations that tied into our plans. He was funny and very friendly. Ketut may be a bit more expensive then a ‘Grabcar’ however after having an awful experience with Grabcar we would only recommend Ketut to others because he ensured you were safe and happy! Definitely worth the few pounds extra for the personalised experience. The other staff were very nice and ensured our room was clean everyday and offered us towels if we needed new ones. The scenery was absolutely stunning and grounds well kept to go with! The Tree houses themselves were something we had never seen before and were amazing! Exceeding our expectations!! Hot water in the shower; fresh drinking water everyday; Homemade mosquito repellent; clean bathroom. I would recommend downloading G(00gle) maps to find the location. The location was in the South of Ubud about 20 minutes from the centre. Would recommend going to the Marriott Hotel for drinks on the skybar and dinner as well. They also have an ATM if you need it. Local supermarkets nearby also.

This place is perfect if you want to be away from the noise of Ubuds town center but still be relatively close enough! (~15 min drive). The staff was nothing but the kindest!!!! I recommend anyone staying here! You have a beautiful quiet pool next to an absolutely beautiful river. Driving arrangements and inclusive breakfasts are also offered! Definitely recommend this beauty!! :)

It's very relaxing and beautiful here at these cabins, just along the river. The sounds of nature are so soothing and peaceful making it a perfect getaway from the noise in Canggu where I normally stay. Wayan is very sweet and did a great job making me feel welcomed, she provided me Balinese coffee and breakfast in the mornings on both days I was here and it was a fantastic experience all together. I'll be back for sure!

We had a very relaxing stay here and wish we could stay longer! The place is just like the photos (even better) and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The area is very peaceful and the pool on the river was very picturesque. We enjoyed our massage by the pool and found the staff including the driver katut very accomodating to us. Breakfast in the morning was very good too. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again! Thank you very much for our stay here :)

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Lodge! Die Bambushütten sind schön eingerichtet und liegen etwas außerhalb von Ubud in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, sodass man gut den Klängen der Natur lauschen kann. Mit dem Auto braucht man ca. 20 min in das kulturelle Zentrum. Wayan leitet das Lodge vor Ort und hat uns bei allen unseren Wünschen und Fragen weitergeholfen! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und können es nur weiterempfehlen!

Wayan was incredible, she was attentive, helpful and most of all a pleasure to deal with. She arranged a driver for us who was equally as nice. (also Wayan). All details were taken care of and the accommodation had a personal feel to it. This is all due to Wayan and the staff. Thank you so much Wayan. We met O briefly which was rare treat as he is often between countries.

The accommodations were just as described. The Bamboo treehouse had a wonderful view of the river and we spent quite a bit of time down there. We loved the traditional Balinese breakfast prepared for us by Wayan.

Had an amazing stay at Turtle Bamboo Eco Lodge! Gorgeous views and love the amazing bamboo architecture, and being able to travel with a light footprint - this place is a work of love! Really loved the Balinese breakfast! If youre like us and dont drive a scooter its only 20k for motorbike taxi to Ubud Centre which is easy to catch. I hope to come back someday!

Great place to unwind and relax. Not very far from Ubud town. Actually a benefit to be away from the hustle and bustle and be tucked away in a serene location. Amazing hosts as well. Definitely worth a visit!

We started our trip to Bali with a 6 night stay at this beautiful bamboo ecolodge and we were certainly not disappointed! As the lodges are brand new there weren’t many reviews when we booked (during our stay we found out that I was actually the first guest to book! And we were very kindly gifted some lovely bamboo straws and toothbrushes as a thank you to remember our stay) but we decided they looked too good not to try! It’s truly even more beautiful in real life than pictures could ever do it justice! Oliver was very quick at responding to any questions & queries as soon as we had booked. Wayan is the most amazing host; she’s very sweet with the kindest energy. Wayan organised massage therapists to come to the lodge and give full body massage down by the pool next to the river. Such an amazing and relaxing experience! The whole place is absolutely beautiful! It’s perfectly designed to create the perfect balance of luxury and jungle immersion. On arrival stepping stones lead into the reception/lobby area which I wish I got a better photo of at night when it was all lit up! The rooms are gorgeous. They provide a plug in to deter mosquitoes as well as lovely home made spray mixed with oils and lavender. The mosquito net over the bed is perfect. I felt like I was in some kind of fairytale! The balconies are stunning.. jungle views down towards the river. A beautiful huge hammock perfect for relaxing. A little table and chairs where we played games in the evenings. Breakfast was included where we could choose between eggs cooked to our liking or a traditional Balinese breakfast. As a fussy eater I was expecting a week of plain omelettes but the traditional breakfast was delicious! In addition to Wayan and her team looking after the lodges (and little bamboo the kitten!) - Ketut who lives opposite offers a driving service. He collected us from the airport and we stuck with him for the week. We could have found cheaper alternatives but Ketut doubled up as a personal tour guide making recommendations of places to go and things to see. He was truly amazing and I doubt we would have possibly seen so much without him in our first week. From waterfalls, galleries, the best restaurants, sunrise treks, traditional shows, temples & making sure we didn’t miss out on any photo opportunities he was just perfect! He even drove us to Mount Batur at 2am whilst we were asleep in the back of the car! The Bamboo Ecolodge is perfect location for visiting lots of attractions. Wayan is also able to organise Scooter hire if you would rather explore on your own. Overall… we both just loved our experience at the Bamboo Ecolodge and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a unique and special place to stay. Hopefully we will visit again before too long 🙂

I loved the ambience and aroma the place created. It was beautiful and so peaceful that i felt like sharing the bed with nature. I am gonna get back soon again. Staff behaviour is great and very friendly, it felt like home.

Very peaceful place, we enjoyed laying in our hammock and listening the sounds of nature. Not far from Ubud but far enough to escape the hectic of the city. The Bungalows have stunning design and decorations too. Totally recommended

Bamboo turtle ecolodge is undoubtedly one of the best stays. Olivier has planned and built the place very well. Each and every detail is thought through with 0 plastic usage. Wayan who manages the place is very helpful and sweet. This was a unique stay and I would definitely comeback. The pool along with the river was a special addon. The place looks way more beautiful than the pictures. Do book for a peaceful stay amidst nature. Thanks Olivier and Wayan for a wonderful stay.

Omg You don't feel like leaving this place. Stay here and don't go out for few days , it's like that. Such beautiful vibe and spectacular place . You feel you are in middle of forest. The river view is amazing. Best stay in Bali. Wayan is so amazing as a host. She and whole team is courteous. You can't miss her Balinese breakfast. You will attain peace of mind here. I chose it for my last stay in Bali and this was a perfect place to relax.

Staff is wonderful and very friendly and helpful, rooms are great and there is a beautiful hammock on the terrace to enjoy the sound of the river and the jungle! Beds are super comfortable, slept like a baby. All in all amazing value for money and very happy we split our stay in ubud in several hotels and experienced this one! Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here. The hammock on our porch overlooking the river was amazing, the room was clean and tastefully decorated. The traditional Balinese breakfast was delicious and Pak Ketuk our guide was one of the kindest, and knowledgable guide I’ve met.

My partner and I booked Bamboo Turtle for a couple of nights in the hopes of a quiet, relaxing getaway. Our expectations were met, then exceeded far, far beyond what either of us could’ve comprehended. Before even booking, the communication with the owner was quick and helpful. Our flight was delayed, which meant that it would be about 1:30am by the time we arrived at the Ecolodge. We thought this might throw a spanner in the works, but we didn’t know about Ketut - gem of man who transports guests to and from the airport and around the island. He picked us up from Denpasar at around 12:30am, took us to the lodge and checked us in himself, topping it off with a smile and a healthy welcome drink. On top of showing us around, he also organised our transport and ferry to Gilli T. The staff at Bamboo are incredible! Wayan, the manager, was very helpful, ensuring we were cared for throughout the entire stay, even treating us to a delicious complementary Balinese breakfast. There were a few other guys too, one was called Rico and the others I didn’t catch the name of, who were also very kind and offered us all the smiles in the world. At the risk of writing too big a review, I’ll finish off by saying that our private little treehouse-style bungalow was like something out of a fairytale book. Beautiful, sheltered outdoor shower, comfortable mattress, and a shaded deck with a large hammock to doze off in as you listen to the sounds of the birds and the river. All this, only 15 minutes south of Ubud, perfect to avoid the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to be in amongst it. This place is bliss, you cannot miss it. Thanks guys!

The Perfect Place. If you're in search of the quintessential Ubud Bali experience, then you have found it in the Eco Turtle Lodge. The setting and location are phenomenal and naturally gorgeous. The bamboo architecture immerses you in a natural sanctuary, yet it has all the amenities of modern life (international plugs, good hot water, a/c, and more) but modern life doesn't get in the way if you don't want it to. Wayan and Olivier were excellent hosts and provided me with a delicious Balinese breakfast, and help me rent a bike for a good price, and generally made me feel welcome and cared for. I will definitely stay here every time I stay in Ubud. This place was one of the best parts of my trip to Bali. It was also one of the best places I've ever stayed - from Los Angeles to New York, to Vienna, to Milan, to Dubai.

Spent 3 nights at the Bamboo Turtles Eco-lodge with absolutely no regrets. Staff were very accommodating and so friendly, especially Wayan, who went the extra mile to make our stay even more comfortable. Ketut, who stayed next door, also drove us around for a very reasonable fee with excellent service. The place is also very well kept and the ambience is so relaxing especially by the river. The hammock at the balcony was also a really nice touch. The location is a little bit far from the nearest city, but it makes it a nice refuge away from the busy life. We are very grateful to the staff at the lodge for making the experience so amazing for us and we will definitely be returning here again!

I booked Bamboo Turtles in a rush, just hoping to be close to Ubud galleries and studios but in a quiet nature setting. To my surprise I found an amazing place that is both eco friendly but also very comfortable. The bungalow is very cosy and tastefully furnished, I especially loved taking my morning coffee on my bungalows’ terrasse listening to the sounds of the birds! The setting of the pool by the river makes it hard to do anything but chill there all day. I had such a great time at Bamboo turtles that I actually never made it to Ubud town during the 2 days I spent there!
