Exploring Beach House Villa- Surf, sunset views, uncrowded left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Beach House Villa- Surf, sunset views, uncrowded was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Tabanan plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Beach House Villa- Surf, sunset views, uncrowded painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

The location is excellent. The service was wonderful. The house is beautiful. This is an open concept beach house. What’s important to note - it is advertised as having air conditioning and this is inaccurate. There is a very small air conditioner in the bedroom that doesn’t work properly (it is the same as having a small fan). We booked this place knowing we needed a place with an air conditioner for nights due to health issues and unfortunately had to leave early because of this. There were also tons of bugs on the dining table so you couldn’t leave your food unattended there. If these things don’t bother you, you will love the house.

A beautiful location, but somewhat marred by its physical isolation from other amenities - cafes, etc. Although there is a very small village close by, access to it is restricted on foot due to a significant river, or walking around via a major road. Whilst this was mentioned by the hosts, it meant relying on motor transport anytime you needed to leave the villa....or crossing the river and getting wet on your way to a cafe. The fact that we are both in our mid 70's probably didn't help. The sea is not really an option for swimming, due to a dangerous rip, but this is more than made up for by the lovely pool at the villa. Perhaps the hosts need to mention the need for your own dedicated transport, noting that a car & driver are available, but not dedicated to the villa. The in house maid is a great cook, who provides an excellent breakfast, but given the rental price, evening meals should be included, on the bases that guests pay for the cost of the produce used.

We had a beautiful time at the beach house! The staff is just wonderful and was always responsive as well as Wendy. If you are looking for a peaceful oasis away from the busy bali areas - this will be the right place! There really is not much to do nearby, sometimes the walk at the beach to the little village is not possible due to high tide so keep in mind that you might need a motorbike to explore the surroundings!

Excellent attentive staff, wonderful space

Jamie and Wendy are amazing hosts and would quite literally give the shirt off their backs to make your stay any more comfortable. Their friendly staff of local balinese women service the house each day after making you the most amazing breakfast. I highly recommend the fresh duck eggs from the property, local fruit and awesome buttermilk pancakes. Nothing is too much trouble if you have special dietary needs. I also highly recommend the inhouse dinners. Not only for the awesome food but the convenience. There isn't much within walking distance. Just on that, it is very isolated so any travel or sightseeing will require a driver which is easily arranged. Jamie provides you an iPhone so they are easily contactable at any time to arrange drivers, tours, surf lessons etc. The house itself is huge and in the most beautiful tropical setting right on the beach. It's "Bali rustic" design means it's very open plan so be prepared to share it with the local wildlife, especially at night. Being our first time in Bali this was a little overwhelming. If this doesn't bother you I highly recommend a stay at The Beach House. You won't regret it!

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, the driver Wayan picked us up on time. Wendy greeted us with a warm smile and she is very friendly. We stayed here for 4 night. The house is spacious and beautiful. We love the huge lawn that they have. It is very green and soothing for the eyes. All the amenities were great but we do find that the lighting for the entire house is poor. It is very dim and difficult for night reading. On our personal view, it should have a better lighting system so we can have the option to choose from bright, dim or go dark. The infinity pool is nice for a good swim and in front of the house, the beach is practically yours alone. Balian beach is beautiful but I do find it quite dirty and sticky to walk on. During the first days of our stay there was a lot of wind and rain in the afternoon, we love it. We enjoyed our breakfast everyday. The portion is large for two, so we keep some for our tea time ;). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Yeyen and Wiwid, we feel very at home.

My partner and I had a lovely few days at The Beach House. The villa is beautiful, the staff are so lovely, and the hosts, Jamie and Wendy, are such great people. They helped organise our driver for a few days and assisted us when one of us fell sick. The breakfasts are wonderful, and the location is private and relaxing. We look forward to returning.

Communication was great with Wendy and Jamie both before we arrived and during our stay. The place was as described and very relaxing. Ayu's breakfasts were delicious and special.

We were welcomed by Jamie ,early hrs of the morning , thx for waiting up for us. ! The accomodation was all that we wanted . Clean , attractive , traditional feel in a spectacular setting . The pool was wonderful / gorgeous grounds, & of course , the Surf virtually out the front gate ! Staff were friendly . Helpful . Breakfast was delish ! Hm made bread & fresh juices & we were introduced to duck eggs , fresh . Free range. Lovely massages available , felt spoilt. A great spot for our 35 th wedding anniversary . Gd chats with Jamie . Interesting to find out about the village etc . Black sandy beaches , quiet , not crowded. Loved it ! The village is small , but a few gd spots to eat . Loved the beach walks to dinner with our torch ! Every thing was provided that you needed, we found the whole stay just great . Will return !!

The Beach House was perfect! Exactly the holiday we needed. We could be as lazy or adventurous as we wanted. The beds are comfortable, the house is gorgeous, the location blissful, private and serene. Highly recommend Wendy & Jamie’s if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday where everything is easy. Great for surfers, as well as pool lovers. We will be back.

Cette maison est extraordinaire, encore plus belle que sur les photos ! Nous sommes arrivés directement de l’aéroport (3 heures de route) et nous avons eu un accueil des plus chaleureux. On s’endort avec les bruits de vagues, on se réveille avec un délicieux petit déjeuner préparé avec attention par l’équipe de la villa sur la magnifique terrasse. La déconnexion est immédiate ! Nos 3 enfants ont adoré jouer avec les bassins qui entourent la maison et nous avons passé des fins d’après-midi merveilleuses à jouer avec les vagues sur la plage déserte en contre-bas. Possibilité de réserver des massages supers ou de commander à dîner. Vraiment une de nos meilleures expériences Air b’b !! Les seuls points a noter pour ceux qui voyagent avec enfants : la pièce de vie et la salle de bain donne directement sur les magnifiques bassins : attention donc avec les petits qui ne savent pas nager. La belle chambre dispose de voilages mais pas de volets.

If you’re looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to unwind in Bali, this is it. The beach house is the very definition of relaxing vacation hideaway. The joglo-style space features a large open kitchen (well appointed) and living room with plenty comfortable seating a clear view to the beach and ocean, a bedroom with a comfortable canopy king bed, fan and small AC, a outside there’s a lovely pool with loungers and a day bed. The only people we saw were a few strollers on the beach and some light pedestrian traffic on the access road across a shallow stream. The villa is supported by a lovely staff. Iluh took fabulous care of us and cooked our favorite meal of the stay. The in-villa massages were also wonderful. One note, the space is open to nature. Our first night, there was a hatch of termites, who were then swarmed by bats leading to a slightly chaotic hour indoors and out. We took refuge behind the mosquito net and once things calmed all was well for the duration

Far from the maddening crowds of other Bali areas, Balian Beach is a peaceful paradise and this villa allows you to enjoy it at its fullest. We loved our stay. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at Wendy and Jamie’s place from the very first minute - this place is so out of this world. The pool area with its stunning ocean view, the lovingly detailed house in Javanese style, the open living spaces that let the breeze flow right through, the outdoor shower… every photo you take looks like a perfect postcard. In fact, we got several comments from people who thought our photos were AI-generated 😉 Mornings started slow with coffee overlooking the ocean, and the evenings were pure magic as the sun went down. The whole place has this calm, grounding energy that made it impossible to leave stressed. Everything was spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and clearly cared for down to the smallest detail. We spent a wonderful, relaxing week here and are already dreaming of coming back. A big thank you and warm greetings to Iluh, our housekeeping lady who made us breakfast every day and welcomed us like old friends.

Jamie and Wendy’s Beach House is a beautiful hidden gem away from the tourist spots and a perfect location to relax and unwind. Unfortunately I had hurt my ankle and wasn’t able to get down to the beach or do much, but everyone at the house took excellent care of me - especially Iluh, who came each morning to prepare breakfast and clean the house. She also made great dinners and was so kind and helpful. Mano, my driver was so patient and kind, taking me to the clinic and immigration, which were both long trips. I highly recommend staying here and the staff looking after me made my trip so much easier - I can’t thank them enough.

Mega smukt sted, med fantastiske omgivelser og faciliteter. Mega lækker pool. Iluh var skøn og lavet mega god morgenmad og aftensmad som vi købte. Man skal lige være ops på at det ikke er lukket af for dyr, så der kan godt komme mange dyr ind om aftenen. Og så bor man også sammen med nogle rimeligt store firben. Men udover det var alt helt fantastisk og vi havde nogle fantastisk dage.

Geweldige locatie, mooi onderkomen, goede service, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, heerlijk ontbijt wat dagelijks vers klaargemaakt wordt. Deze locatie is een aanrader!

This was our second trip the beech house. Betsy and I enjoyed our honeymoon there 2 years ago. It was great to be back. The staff is so warm and welcoming. We hope to return for another stay sometime.

This is the second time we stayed here, both times after a cruise. Once was in November, 2025, and five months later April, 2026. We enjoyed it so much the first time we hoped to come back and as it turned out our cruise ended here again. Last time we stayed four nights and this time three nights. We had an issue with some construction noise and smell next door, and contacted Wendy, who responded immediately and offered us The Ocean View House, which is down the beach and on a hillside overlooking the ocean. We can’t complain about The Ocean View House as it’s probably as nice, bigger and sleeps four, pool, and fabulous view. If it was the first house we rented here it might be our favorite, but The Beach House is so private and our favorite. The house staff is great! Breakfast every morning. Massages, pedicures, manicures here. Driver available for pickup, dinner, and tours. Or sit by the pool and relax! Wendy and Jamie are in the background, but there when needed. You’ll love it.

Vi hade en superhärlig vecka i Beach villan. Ligger jättefint vid stranden och supermysigt ställe. Personalen som kom varje morgon var väldigt tillmötesgående och fixade en underbar frukost! 3.kvällar åt vi även middag i huset, vilket var några av de bästa middagarna på hela vår semester. Daglig kontakt med vår.chafför som gärna körde oss och gav tips på utflykter. Det ligger långt från större ställen vilket passade osa perfekt. Reste vidare till andra ställen sen för att se mer av ön. Det gjorde vi främst pga Balis trafik och ville unvidka långa restider vid dagsutflykter. Rekommenderar inte att ha som en bas om man vill upptäcka Balis många olika ställen, men för att bara ta de lugnt, uppleva Balis lugnare delar och bara leva väldigt gott, missa inte att bo här 😀

Our stay at Jamie and Wendy’s place was absolutely perfect. The home was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, which made it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. What stood out most was how peaceful and quiet the property was. It was the perfect place to unwind, rest, and enjoy a calm atmosphere. The location felt private and serene, yet still convenient to everything we needed. Jamie and Wendy were excellent hosts friendly, responsive, and very welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

This was our second stay at Wendy's and Jamie's Balian Beach House. The house feels authentically Balinese, inspired by local architecture and culture, yet with all the modern amenities and comfort one can wish for. The beautiful location is perfect for a relaxing, quiet timeout, overlooking the beach and the magnificent surf. Wendy and Jamie have assembled a wonderful, friendly team to provide all the support one can wish for (meals, housekeeping, massages, drivers for airport pickup and day trips). The Beach House has the feel and comfort of a resort, yet it is totally private.

Great locations, easy communication with host. A special place. Our trip was well supported by the staff who come by in the morning to prepare breakfast. They were fantastic!

Absolutely loved our week’s stay at the Beach House. Iluh and Fitri took great care of us. Agus is a great driver and got us where we needed to be. The architecture, landscaping and stunning views were spectacular. The peacefulness and quiet was just what we needed. We especially enjoyed Roxy, who came to say good morning everyday. We had such a wonderful time staying at the beach house for our honeymoon. We were looking for something private and the villa was exactly what we wanted. Wendy and Jamie, Iluh, and Agus were extremely helpful during our stay and made it very pleasant. We especially loved the breakfasts prepared by Iluh, and the dinner as well. We can’t wait to come back!

Without a doubt, the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and all of the additional services were amazing, especially the breakfast! The staff were always helpful and flexible whenever we needed anything. We connected really well with the team, especially the wonderful person who prepared our breakfast each morning and the driver who helped us get around Bali. They truly made us feel welcome and added a personal touch that made our stay even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place more and would or hopefully will absolutely stay here again!

What a stunning villa and the location couldn’t be better! Iluh and team took very good care of us. Trust me, order dinner from the host - Iluh will come to the villa make prepare dinner for you and the food was extremely delicious! We loved our morning and evening walks at the stretching long beach just at our doorsteps. There were barely any people around except for some surfers and some local fishermen. We truly enjoyed our stay!

We've stayed at a fair number of very nice AirBnBs and Wendy & Jamie's place is right up there with the best of them – possibly our favourite stay, ever! Such a beautiful spot, and so peaceful. There's not a lot in the immediate area (which is perfect for a quiet stay), but Mano our driver was incredibly helpful to take us to and from nearby restaurants. Highly recommended, and we hope to return someday!

Heaven !! Words are not enough to describe this place, photos do not do justice too. This place is just beautiful, amazing peaceful beach with almost no one around, great staff who help you with literally everything. We stayed here for 3 nights, and felt we should have booked for more days. I am def coming back, i think its the best beach front place i have ever stayed at.

Our only issue would be the drive from our cruise ship docking, which wasn’t far but with the heavy traffic on an only two lane road it turned into over two hours in bumper to bumper traffic. But was it well worth it! Absolutely. Our diver, Jefrey was really great. Very kind and soft spoken and very helpful. He picked us up, took us to the airport on our way home, and was there every day to drive us to restaurants or wherever we wanted to go, and he would always ask what or where we wanted to go tge next day. Scooter rentals are always available through the house but with the traffic having Jefrey drive us every day was so much nicer. Cheap too. The house was great too! I have to say as nice or better than we expected. Very private and on the beach. The bedroom is in a separate building from the living area and the only area that is air conditioned. There is a wonderful bed with netting (mosquito) all around. Wonderful staff cleans and makes breakfast every day. Would go there again!

From check in to check out, our experience exceeded ALL expectations!!! This was a surprise 30th anniversary trip. We stayed in 5 different locations over two weeks in Bali and Nusa Penida and my wife said that I had saved The Best for last: The Balian Beach House ❤️ Besides walks on the beach and several surf sessions, we didn’t leave the property at all for 3 days. Stunning slice of paradise on the ocean in a very quiet part of Bali. When Wendy sent her first message with details and said there isn’t much shopping or entertainment in the village, my response was “Perfect”. I could go on and on about the 5* property, but I’m limited with characters and must mention the staff. From the warm welcome by Yeyen, daily housekeeping and barista skills by Sari, to the INCREDIBLE meals prepared fresh by Iluh twice a day, to the clean, professional and informative ride to the airport by Jeffrey. These four truly were a blessing to our final days in Bali. Thank you again Wendy & Jamie 🙏❤️

Mein Mann und ich haben hier zwei Nächte zu meinem 40. Geburtstag verbracht. Die Einsamkeit und Ruhe war genau das, was wir gesucht hatten. Ihlu und Sari waren unglaublich lieb, aufmerksam und diskret - Service auf ganz hohem Niveau! Und an meinem Geburtstag gab es sogar einen kleinen Kuchen und ein Ständchen für mich ❤️ Die Unterkunft selbst war grandios - die offene Meeresbriese, Badewanne unter freiem Himmel - wir haben danach so etwas tolles nicht nochmal gefunden in Bali. Mit der Fauna muss man sich arrangieren bei nicht vorhandenen Wänden - aber das ist machbar für das Erlebnis. Der Strand ist naturbelassen und menschenleer (aber leider daher auch recht viel Müll wenn man entlang spaziert - davon sieht man vom Strandhaus aus aber nichts). Vielen lieben Dank für drei wundervolle Tage/ zwei Nächte bei euch und wir werden euch definitiv weiter empfehlen 🙏

We had an amazing stay at the Beachhouse and enjoyed the private atmosphere a lot. The house with the pool and lovely ocean view surrounded by the nice garden was simply beautiful and is a great spot to relax. Everything was as described or even better. The breakfast made by Iluh and Sari was fantastic and also our multiple day trips with Mano as driver have been fantastic. I can highly recommend to visit Jatiluwih Rice Terraces for walking through the Rice fields that are a 90- minutes drive away from the house. The dinner prepared by Iluh was delicious and you also have some options to order food from local restaurants for delivery to the house. We had wonderful two weeks there with our little son and enjoyed our stay, the friendliness of the people and the peaceful atmosphere at the Beachhouse a lot!

Wow, if we could give ten stars we would. Our week at The Beach House was something we will remember for the rest of our lives. Wendy and Jaime have made experiencing the best of Bali effortless for their guests. From the daily breakfast served with an ocean-view on site, to the incredible snorkeling adventure they helped coordinate, everything was taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy our time on Bali. As soon as we can, we will be back!

We loved staying at the beach house. Such a beautiful place. The only thing one needs to take into account when staying here are the frogs that can be very loud in the evening. Apart from that it was amazing. The staff is super friendly and offers a great breakfast! Iluh and their colleagues as well as agus and Mano were very friendly and helpful.

What a tremendous spot to recharge, relax and enjoy the energy of a volcanic sand beach. The people helping were genuinely friendly and kind. I had a great five days here, thanks :)

The stay at Wendy and Jamie’s was absolutely magical! An absolute MUST when visiting Bali. My wife and I enjoyed our very private stay and were blown away with the service and beauty. Will definitely book again when visiting, and is definitely a spot that will leave a lasting impression!

It is hard to put into words how wonderful The Beach House is. We stayed for 15 nights as part of our Honeymoon, wanting some time for peaceful relaxation. It was perfect. It is remote and private, in a way that is hard to find. The facilities for relaxing provide a feeling of luxury and you we got really well looked after by Iluh, Sari and Agus, so very grateful. Breakfast each day was wonderful, as were the times we had an evening meal. We walked to some local spots for decent food also but staying here really is all about spending time enjoying the opportunity to be away from normal tourist resorts. We tended to see about 5 to 10 people a day on the beach. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. It is very rare that we talk about wanting to return to the same place but we hope to come back to the Beach House.

Wendy and Jaime are great hosts. The place, the ocean, the calming atmosphere is just what we were looking for. Iluh, Gede, Agus and the rest of theafies took very good care of us. If you ever come across this place, rest assured is everything you need and more. Good services, lots of things to do around . Really had a great time with my wife here and hopefully we will come back. Definitely a place to visit , you won't regret it.

Wendy and Jamie's place was truly amazing. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The facility looks exactly like the photos and very well maintained. Iluh, the house keeping lady was super helpful and frinedly, and came every morning to cook our breakfast, which was really nice. We had massages in the venue twice, which was also nice and reasonable. Just one thing - walking to the balian village along the beach is actually pretty challenging even during low tide. We made it on our way to a dinner there but gave it up to walk back and called a driver to send us back, although it's not a big deal as there are a few local warungs that offer delivery to the place.

All the reviews speak for themselves - the place is all that is promised and Wendy is great to deal with. If you want quiet, out of the rat race Bali this is it.

That’s just incredible place! We spend only 3 days and that wasn’t enough. Unstoppable sound of the ocean, unbelievable beach and almost no people. The house exactly as described on photos with everything you can possibly neeed, delicious breakfast and and fish in the pond which divided sleeping and lounge area. From the moment we stepped into the house our only complaint was to ourselves- why we booked only 3 days and not more ( there was only 3 days gap when we booked :)) Thank you!

The sweeping ocean views were absolutely mesmerizing. What made the experience even more special were the luxurious in-house spa treatments. We indulged in relaxing massages and nourishing facials. It felt like a private wellness retreat. The gourmet meals were another standout—each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Dining while watching the sunset over the ocean was a nightly highlight. This home is a peaceful sanctuary that blends luxury with the soulful essence of Bali. Perfect for anyone seeking rest, beauty, and a deep sense of calm. We left feeling completely renewed and already dreaming of our return.

Our visit to Balian Beach House was perfect. From the location, views, beautiful Balinese Home and overall amenities nothing was missing. With all that said the highlight was the beautiful ladies that cared for us as if we were family. Cannot express enough how gracious and welcoming Yemen, Sari and Nengah were. Also we must mention Agus, who in driving and diving with us shared his love of his culture and country. These gracious people are the reason we love Bali, and the reason we will come back.

If we could give 6 stars, we absolutely would. Wendy and Jamie have created the most tranquil and magical retreat. From the moment you arrive, the beauty of the property takes your breath away, and it continues to every morning as you enjoy breakfast overlooking the waves. Falling asleep each night to the sound of the ocean was truly unforgettable. The staff were incredible, especially Yeyen, who was such a joy to be around and always so helpful. Wendy and Jamie are exceptional hosts. Communication was effortless, and they were so helpful in arranging our transport both to the villa and on to our next destination. We also loved the luxury of being able to enjoy spa treatments right in the comfort of the villa. We’re already dreaming of our return - hopefully sooner rather than later!

The house is in a remote place 2 hours and half drive from the Airport. We had a really long flight from Canada so it was the perfect spot to relax and just enjoy the view, the infinity pool, the beautiful architecture. The driver recommended by the host Wendy, Agus was very friendly and professional + they're employees in the villa are amazing people big shout out to Yeyen who really took care of us. Recommend 10 out of 10 Ps : This is a place to relax and there's not much around except nature and the beach so make sure this is what you are looking for.

Wendy and Jamie’s Beach House in Balian is a refreshing Bali experience. Balian itself is more ‘old school’ Bali, so you wont find hawkers, embarrassing tourists and discotheques. The house is set on a beautiful property right on the beach with easy access to the local surf break and alternatively, the rainforests and hills. it’s quiet, private and spacious and the staff are wonderful, friendly and will spoil you. The house is by far the best accomodation in Balian, and whilst it’s probably more expensive than other places, it’s worth it- and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. If you can do it, and you want a complete ‘switch off’ we absolutely recommend it.

Even though the description and directions were perfectly stated. There was nothing to prepare us for how amazing it would actually feel. So welcoming! We literally felt like family while we were there and made lifelong friends with the people who took great care of us every day!!! There’s nowhere else in Bali to stay for me!

I’d give The Beachhouse a ten out of five star rating if I could. We had the most fabulous week, house is stunning- delicious breakfast and dinner made for us daily, massages every day while staying in a luxury resort-style home. Anything you want or need and Ilah the housekeeper or Wendy was available to help. We explored the mountains on a scooter and found some great restaurants, had beers on the beach, read books, swam in the beautiful pool and just relaxed completely. Thank you Jamie and Wendy, you are doing everything perfectly. This air BnB is a genuine slice of paradise and we feel lucky we stayed here.

Best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Really incredible beachfront property with excellent amenities. The design of the house is beautiful with fish pounds and plenty of outdoor space including a large private pool and patio space. Wendy & Jamie were very helpful in organizing airport transfers and answering any other questions we had, and the morning housekeeping staff (Iluh & Sari) were so friendly and kind. Highly recommend the private dinners at the house made by Iluh! Would also recommend the in-house spa treatments that can be easily booked. We ended up mainly staying at the house as the area isn't so walkable, but the house was so amazing that we didn't need to (or want to) leave during our stay. Highly highly recommend!

Wow! This was the perfect start to our holiday - luxurious and tranquil. Very much a little piece of paradise. W&J’s principal host, Iliuh, was simply marvellous from providing breakfast through to recommendations. Our driver, Agus, who W&J recommended was equally amazing - a font of knowledge, friendly and utterly accommodating. Things we would mention to friends: - it is remote: there isn’t an abundance of restaurant options. - before you arrive on your first day plan ahead for first dinner: book dinner at the beach house, book a driver to the local areas or stop at a supermarket for provisions. - walking to Balian Beach village is either a 500m walk on the beach subject to tides or a 40 min walk on the roads, or a 10 min drive. In summary, we would not hesitate in booking the beach house again, and we’d probably rent a scooter if only to get ourselves to the village for lunches and dinners.

We had a wonderful stay here. The villa was perfect and so peaceful. We were so well looked after, with fantastic breakfasts and evening meals. We also did some excellent tours including snorkelling, rice paddies and temple tours.

Beautiful location, beautiful joglo & amazing service! We loved the breakfast every morning from Iluh, Sadi, Fitri! Iluh made sure we had plenty of supplies to get through Nyepi. Agus showed us around the area & loved having dinner at Deki’s warung. Great location away from busy spots but still close enough to the village for food & drinks. The AC in the bedroom was cold & made sleeping very comfortable. We’d love to return again soon, many thanks to all the staff for taking such great care of us!

This place is a dream! Hosts were super communicative and accommodating. The ladies on staff were kind and helpful. The villa is stunning and location is amazing. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

My husband and I spent 2 glorious weeks here. The grounds are perfectly manicured and landscaped making you feel like you are staying in a State Park. The pool was a perfect temperature and the house is situated so that you can always enjoy the Sea breeze. Surfers frequent the beach in front of the house which was fun to watch. There are several restaurants a short scooter ride away and taking mountain rides on the scooter left us feeling WOW'd. We had everything we could think of available in the house when we arrived. The best part of our stay was Iluh and Sari who took care of us, the house, pool, all the cleaning, and preparing the most delicious breakfasts each morning. I first thought them being there every day to clean would be overkill, but I enjoyed their company so much. My husband and I bonded with them both and they feel like family now. They made us feel at home and so very special. I really can't say enough good things about this property. Thank you!!!

This is one of those places that will forever remain an incredible memory. Wendy and Jamie have truly created a magical place. What makes it so special is the service. The same ladies cooked breakfast, cleaned the villa, prepared dinner, and even watched our child for a few hours. They spoke perfect English, shared fascinating insights about Balinese culture, and even told us a few lovely anecdotes from their personal lives. We hope to return soon.

While most of Bali is a mad house, one biog traffic jam, this location is away from the big touristy spots. Here you can enjoy Bali on its best, not spoiled by mass tourism. In addition the Beach House is really nice, with everything one needs for a great and comfortable break, bath rooms are great, bed and bedroom nice and spacious. The living room provides lots of space and a great view of the ocean. Outdoor furniture also well take care of and maintenance of and daily care for inside and out, well organised with very friendly staff. Well recommended!

Wendy and Jamie's place was absolutely breathtaking! We arrived for our honeymoon stay and they had arranged for a driver (Agus) to pick us up from the airport which made life so easy! Made the drive perfect. When entering the place it was like entering an oasis of peace. Every little detail was taken care of. If you weren't planning on leaving to site see then it's the perfect little haven. They have food services, a beautiful breakfast every morning to your liking, dinner if you needed it, access to a driver to anywhere you need, motorbike rentals, the list goes on and on. I am absolutely blown away with ther service, the cleanliness, the pool overlooking the beachfront, the amenities that are available and the peace and quiet you can expect from a place like this. How to summarise in just a few words?Let’s start with the bad-ok so that’s easy, there are NONE! This is more than just an Airbnb! We’ve never stayed where you get the experience we’ve just had. First of all you meet the lovely Ihlu on check in. Housekeeper extraordinaire! We then met Jamie & Wendy- they live on site, but the choice is yours whether you say hi when they pop down to surf/walk the dog. Super hosts with interesting stories of travel/life. The breakfast is wonderful - the biggest/brightest platter of fresh fruit is prepared and you have to have Ihlu’s omelette. We chose to have the dinners prepared by Ihlu. Don’t bother eating anywhere else. Then there is Agus - Tour Guide of the Decade! The villa is private and the view is amazing! Hearing the waves break at night was tranquil. The beach is not busy at all, which we loved as it felt more like a private beach than public.

I could not rave about this place more. From the location, to the house, to the amazing staff. We had the most magical honeymoon here, highly recommend visiting! The staff made amazing breakfast every morning and were so wonderful. Ask for Agus as your driver!! He was amazing beyond belief and have made a lifelong friend

Für uns war es ein Traum :-) Wendys Team ist einfach super, sehr kommunikativ, herzlich und immer per WA-Messenger erreichbar ;-) . Wir hatten vor Ort einen Fahrer (Agus) der uns nicht nur bereits am Flughafen erwartet hat (mitten in der Nacht), sondern uns auch immer während unseres Aufenthalts zur Verfügung stand, die Gegend gezeigt hat, mit uns schnorcheln war, Fotos für uns machte, einen Tempel besuchte und uns viel über die Gegend mit Reisfeldern, Affen und allem drum und dran erzählte. Im Haus selbst wurden wir jeden Tag mit einem tollen Frühstück von Yeyen und ihrer Kollegin bekocht (besonders das Omelett war gigantisch), die auch jederzeit die Organisation von Ausflügen oder Massagen (im Haus) für uns übernahmen, die uns Tipps für alles rundherum gaben, und überhaupt uns einfach so herzlich behandelt haben, dass wir uns gleich zuhause gefühlt haben (nebenbei haben sie dann auch täglich das gesamte Haus blitzeblank geputzt). wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Wendy and Jamie were on vacation while we were there, so they had Iluh and Yeyen taking care of us. They truly made our entire trip the dream it was. They were both so kind and caring and generous. They gave us great recommendations on where to visit locally when we rented a scooter, scheduling day-trips was truly a breeze with them, and when I got a sunburn, Iluh brought some fresh aloe from her garden to help. Breakfasts every morning were divine, and it was a treasure getting to chat with them throughout our stay. As for the space itself, it is very remote, private, lovely, and flows between outdoors and indoors seamlessly. That does require a bit of acceptance that you’ll never be fully indoors, but when we went to our next Airbnb which was indoors, I greatly missed being so connected with nature. It did mean that there were ants, we heard the local wildlife pretty clearly, and it wasn’t fully air conditioned, but none of that was a problem for us. The AC over the bed was perfect

Had a fantastic stay. The location is very beautiful and you have a lot of privacy here. There are a few small but decent restaurants about a 10 minute walk away in Balian village.

One our favorite Air B & B’s to date. The location is stunning and the home captures the essence of the natural surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed the in villa massages and the morning breakfast. Definitely worth the drive!!

We loved this gorgeous beach house. The coy pond in the middle of the house was a beautiful surprise. Feeding the fish was true pleasure. The staff was kind & courteous & the food delicious. We met Jamie, who was lovely, on a return from surfing & while watering the lawn. (Just happy those weren't my skinny-dipping times!) All-natural Bali seems to be dwindling quickly, as being at this house was the only time in Bali I felt some separation from other humans during my 2 weeks there. However, the morning visitation of the back-hoe on our last 3 days was a surprise & a reminder that even in this remote space, humans are encroaching. The driver, Agus, is a gem - highly recommended. As were the gorgeous women who took care of our breakfasts & keeping the place spotless & fully stocked. The views from the house are precious & I will be forever grateful that I found this gem before "progress" strips away its final evidences of sanctuary! Thank you Jamie & Wendy for a lovely getaway.

Fabulous house! I can’t recommend its beautiful view, location, and facilities enough. The ladies who take care of breakfast, transportation, and anything else you might need are super kind and helpful. It's a peaceful, quiet place with a stunning view of the ocean. Yoga mats are available, making it an ideal spot for morning exercises by the pool. The first night was a bit uncomfortable as the house isn't lockable, but we soon realized it was safe with the hosts nearby, so no worries remained. I would only recommend retaking the photos, as they don’t capture the full beauty of the place.

The location is wonderful. It's hard to beat a beach view! The staff and hosts are all so sweet, friendly, and welcoming. It's easy to feel at home here (and hard to leave). An amazing breakfast I looked forward to every morning. The pool felt so nice after a long day of adventuring, especially with the view and sound of the waves crashing to shore. There were only two downsides to the place: 1) Construction next door that went from early am to about 7pm every day 2)Smoke from a fire burning nearby that came wafting into the bedroom at about 5:30am two mornings in a row. Those are obviously beyond the control of the hosts though, so it can't be helped. Just be mindful about it. This is also a great location for renting scooters because it's more chill than major cities. Also good surf nearby. Even watching movies here is so much better, with the doors open and the ocean view. I know I'll be day dreaming about this place when I head back to work. I see why people come back!

The communication with Jamie & Wendy to prepare us for our stay at Balian Beach house was top notch. The villa driver Agus sent by Jamie and Wendy was at the airport waiting for us when we arrived with a sign. He was our driver the entire stay and the best tour guide, he made you feel like you were hanging out with a friend. We were greeted at the villa when we arrived and given a tour. The villa staff Ihlou and Yeyen where there daily to cook breakfast (which was amazing) and to clean the villa. They both were amazing and friendly and felt like family by the time we left. Dinners at the villa were amazing as well and well worth it. Massages in the villa were glorious. The recommended excursions were awesome but the snorkeling trip was our favorite and is a must do. Jamie & Wendy have created an oasis that you don’t want to leave and was one of our best experiences with Airbnb. They truly took care of us and all our needs!! Book it, I promise you wont regret it!!

This is our 2nd time time staying at Wendy and Jamie’s (villas). (This year 😊) Their staff are amazing cooks and genuinely good people. This is the place to unwind and relax. Die Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum. Sie liegt komplett im grünen direkt am Meer. Man hat hier absolute Privatsphäre, ist bei Problemen oder Fragen aber nicht alleine. Es kümmern sich zwei unglaublich liebe Frauen um einen selbst und die Unterkunft. Die beiden servieren einem jeden Morgen Frühstück, was sehr frisch und lecker ist und reinigen die Unterkunft. Danach ist man völlig ungestört. Zusätzlich kann man dort abends für sich kochen lassen, was absolut zu empfehlen ist. Die beiden sind sehr hilfsbereit und stehen für alle fragen und Anliegen zur Verfügung. Was einem klar sein sollte ist das es nachts sehr laut durch die Tiere und das Meer ist. Wer also einen eher leichten Schlaf hat sollte sich Ohrenstöpsel mitnehmen, dann ist es halb so wild. Im großen und ganzen also eine sehr zu empfehlende, saubere, gepflegte Unterkunft.

If like me you spend hours scrolling through Airbnb looking for great accommodation, stop looking, this is the one, this is it. Located right on the beach, it really is a little piece of paradise. The villa is very spacious, simple but stylish, with lovely open air bathroom and shower areas, large enclosed bedroom with very comfortable mattress and aircon. The pool is just perfect, lots of shade, surrounded by the sea and lush tropical gardens. We didn’t stray from the villa, apart from walks on the beach. Yeyen and IIuh provided delicious breakfasts and dinners. We booked Wayan for our return to the airport, he was an excellent driver, very patient and attentive to our itinerary. Highly recommend this spot if you are in need of some serious relaxation and pampering! Wendy & Jamie were on hand for all and any requests or questions. We would love to make a return visit.

Wendy and Jaime have created a secluded oasis in paradise. The villa is ideal for those looking to disconnect and enjoy a break from their fast-paced life. The villa staff were gracious in their hospitality and went above and beyond to make our 4-night stay memorable. Several restaurants are close by, but we recommend dining at the villa since the convenience and quality were better. If you enjoy cooking, there is a nice grocery store about half the distance from the airport, which is worth stopping at on your way to stock up on veggies, meat/seafood, dairy, and baked goods. The air con in the bedroom is perfect. If your schedule permits, as the villa is quite far from the airport, we suggest staying for at least a week, you wont regret it.

The house is stunning and beatufully located. But given that you‘re in the middle of nature and everything is open you‘ll have the nature also in the house. An amazing breakfast is prepared every morning and the house cleaned. The perfect place to deconnect and enjoy the beautiful Balian Beach.

We stayed at Wendy and Jamie’s beautiful beach house for 11 days. If you’re looking for somewhere private and off the beaten track to enjoy the beautiful nature of Bali, then this is your place. The sunsets are fantastic and the local town has some great vibes (it’s about a 5min scooter ride away). The house itself is wonderfully private, with all the amenities you need. The bedroom is very much out in nature too - so you fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and crashing waves. Wendy and Jamie make it so easy to get to the house, organise day trips and food and generally make your stay easy, simple and hassle free.

We can’t recommend this place enough! We’re already planning our next trip back - this was definitely the best experience we’ve had on Air BnB. Wendy and Jamie were fantastic hosts, the place and surroundings were incredibly, the hospitality of the ladies who staff the place was unbeatable. Wir waren für 5 Nächte in dem Haus von Wendy und Jamie. Das Haus ist der Wahnsinn! Es ist deutlicher größer, als es auf den Fotos wirkt. Für uns verkörpert das Haus Bali! Die Damen vor Ort waren super nett, haben sich zwischendurch um unseren 9,5 Monate alten Sohn gekümmert, ein wundervolles Frühstück und Abendessen vorbereitet und meinen Heiratsantrag perfekt vorbereitet! Der Fahrer hat uns super am Flughafen in Empfang genommen und zur Villa gebracht. Er steht immer bereit, falls man einen Ausflug unternehmen möchte und kann viel Auskunft über die Umgebung und Kultur auf der Fahrt geben. Es ist dort sehr sehr ruhig und man hört eigentlich nur die Tiere und das Meer! Wir würden es sofort wieder buchen. Einziger wichtiger Punkt ist die Tierwelt. Aufgrund der Lage finden dort viele Tiere statt. Gekkos von klein bis groß, einen Waran konnten wir sehen, viele Insekten in allen Variationen usw. Gestört hat es uns nicht, im Gegenteil es zeigt wie authentischste Gegend ist. Top!!!!

For the 11 nights we stayed at the Beach House we were continuously impressed by the staff - have you ever stayed in an Airbnb where a made to order breakfast was cooked for you every day? Or if you want an on-demand driver to take you anywhere? We recommend ordering any of the spa services - the 90 minute Balinese massages are simultaneously intense and relaxing. Pure bliss. Wendy recommended several stand out restaurants which showcased exceptional cuisine. This is next level service which is anticipated in high end hotels but seldom at an Airbnb. Amazing. The house is designed in a traditional Balinese style with indoor-outdoor living and offers a serene escape where you can connect with nature, witness breathtaking sunsets, take secluded beach walks, relax in luxury, and create lasting memories. Bravo!

Wir hatten elf wunderbare Tage in der Villa von Jamie und Wendy. Das Haus ist traumhaft schön, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet alles was man braucht bzw. eigentlich deutlich mehr. Da Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie in der Beschreibung angekündigt weit entfernt liegen, sind Kaffee, Tee, Wasser, eine sehr gute Auswahl an Softdrinks, Bier und Weinen in ausreichender Menge zu angemessenen Preisen vorhanden. Das Haus wird täglich von zwei reizenden Damen gereinigt, die auch das hervorragende Frühstück zubereiten sowie verschiedene, empfehlenswerte Dinner anbieten. Darüber hinaus kann man unkompliziert und preiswert bei umliegenden Lieferdiensten Essen bestellen. Der Außenbereich mit der großen, sehr schön angelegten und bepflanzten Grünfläche, der Terrasse mit Pool und schönen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten, dem unwiderstehlichen Ausblick auf das Meer und dem direkten Zugang zum menschenleeren Strand ist ebenfalls ein absoluter Traum. Alles in allem einfach ein Paradies.

This was one of the most beautiful Airbnb’s we have ever stayed at. The layout of the home is tasteful and open, the views are amazing. The beach is mere steps away. The food is delicious and the staff who prepare it are really friendly. Wendy and Jamie also helped us sort out some logistical issues that I wouldn’t expect an Airbnb host to help with, they really went above and beyond. We can’t recommend this place enough.

What an amazing place! It was even better than the pictures and description. Wendy, Jamie, and all the staff are so warm and welcoming. The view of the beach is spectacular. And what a pleasure to listen to the waves. We only stayed three nights here and we were looking for somewhere to truly unwind, so this was perfect for us. We walked the beach. We swam in the pool. We enjoyed breakfast made in our villa every morning and delicious homemade dinners brought to us each evening. We had massages every day and managed a couple of day trips with a driver (also arranged through Wendy and Jamie). We definitely recommend this villa and will come back!

Ein Traum von einem Haus und tolle Gastgeber! Das Haus hat so viele kleine clevere und wunderbare Details, verschiedene Rückzugsorte und überhaupt alles was man braucht. Danke Wendy und Jamie für dieses tolle Schmuckstück, das wir bewohnen durften. Es ist sehr privat angelegt und doch offen, wir haben uns wie Magnum PI gefühlt. Ein grosses Traumhaus an einem mega tollen Strand, den man fast für sich alleine hat. Yeyen und Iluh haben uns jeden Tag ein grossartiges Frühstück gezaubert und alles sauber gehalten. Sie sind die guten Seelen des Hauses und haben uns mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl unsere Privatsphäre gelassen und uns die Möglichkeit gegeben unser Interesse an den Menschen auf Bali zu vertieft. Es war für uns ein Highlight als Abschluss unserer Reise auf Bali. Die 6 Nächte haben sich mehr als gelohnt, wir haben uns entspannt und rundum wohlgefühlt. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben.

Es war wirklich alles sehr schön! Bis auf das Schlafzimmer das ist nicht gut isoliert somit hört man alles was draußen passiert, die Wellen, die Heuschrecken und die lauten Frösche im Bach und Fluss neben dem Haus. Somit hatte ich zwar wundervolle Tage aber nachts leider keinen guten Schlaf. Die Gastgeber sind allerdings überaus freundlich, sauber und kümmern sich sofort um alle Anliegen. Das Frühstück war außerdem sehr lecker!

We slept to the sounds of the waves breaking. Open air home with fresh air and wonderful gentle breezes, peaceful and beautiful views. We enjoyed a swim in the pool every morning and evening after long walks on the beach. Many people we were with were into surfing so there is no shortage of sports and entertainment. Every morning the most delightful ladies came to our villa, prepared fresh fruit, cooked a hot breakfast, cleaned up, and chatted with us about Bali culture. Wendy and Jamie could not have been more kind and supportive hosts.

We had a lovely, relaxing time and the villa was spacious, clean and private. The staff were absolutely amazing! I think it’s worth the time spent to get there if you want to get away from the busy areas of Bali. Make sure you take cash as most of the little restaurants are cash only.

Wir haben 3 tolle Tage hier verbracht. Die Villa ist sehr privat, man ist aber trotzdem direkt am Strand. Im Kühlschrank gibt es unterschiedliche Getränke die man zum angemessenen Preis kaufen kann. Jeden Tag kommen zwei Frauen, bereits ein sehr leckeres Frühstück vor und räumen auf. Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Villa gefühlt. Es ist abseits des Trubels. Man ist manchmal auch ganz alleine am Strand.

Our stay at the Balian Beach house was a beautiful end to our vacation in Bali. The property is vast and serene, with a lovely black sand beach just steps away. We woke each morning to housekeepers Iluh and Yehyeh, they were so kind and made delicious breakfast for us each day. The hosts Jamie and Wendy met us when we arrived at the property and gave great advice on local restaurants. Don't hesitate to book this place it is the perfect peaceful surrounding for your beach vacation.

Wij boekten een paar nachten last minute om heerlijk en rustig te genieten na een drukke rondreis op Bali en Lombok. Deze strandvilla heeft daar absoluut voor gezorgd. Schitterende uitzichten vanuit het terras en de infinitypool met de rustgevende geluiden van de zee en midden in de natuur. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, zowel in de ochtend bij het ontbijt als in de avond voor het diner. Iluh (als ik het goed schrijf) heeft ons erg fijn verzorgd bij het ontbijt en zeer goed geholpen met het regelen van van alles. Daarbij hebben we ook erg leuke gesprekken gevoerd. Wij zijn niet weggeweest van de villa (behalve een heerlijke duik in de golven), maar niet omdat er geen mogelijkheden waren, maar omdat we dat zelf wilden. Deze plek en deze mensen hebben ons een droomverblijf gegeven. Kortom: absolute aanrader!!

Best AirBnB we've ever stayed at. The house is a tropical paradise, and the hosts Yeyen and Iluh made an amazing breakfast every morning and helped arrange anything we needed, from scooters, to massages, to daily trips and activities. The place is definitely out of the way from most of the Bali 'hotspots', but if you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway there's no better option. Thanks Wendy and Jamie!

Wonderful stay at this wonderful and peaceful villa on the ocean. Quiet, peaceful with the sounds of the ocean and jungle at night. The house itself is spacious and beautifully designed and laid out. Wendy and Jamie are excellent hosts, providing all info, arranging activities, and stellar breakfasts and help were provided from the house staff. There are excellent food options quite close by and it seems easy to completely lay low or commune with a relatively small group of fellow travelers to the area. Hope to visit Balian again, and would certainly try and stay at the Beach House.

Never come across an airbnb with so many rave reviews so had high expectations. They were exceeded. The other reviews have covered the key points about how outstanding this place is. But we wanted to give a particularly hurrah to the staff who were lovely, cleaned the place every day including making the bed, and provided delicious breakfasts each day (highly recommend you ask for the dragonfruit and banana pancakes - delicious). And this was all included in the very reasonable fee for the place. Definitely by far our best airbnb experience which we really needed to restore our faith after several recent bad airbnb experiences in Europe.

We would anytime return to this charming House at the Beach front for private relaxing luxury. Jamie, Wendy, the Ladies making breakfast are so sweet and service oriented, massage great. A perfect stay! Highly recommended! If not available - try one of thier other two houses. Romantic sun sets here we come. Did I mention - even better than the pictures.

We came here looking for peace, tranquility and to recharge our minds and bodies. Balian Beach House gets a perfect 10 on all counts. The property is private, framed by the ocean as well as private gardens. We will forever remember the sound of the crashing waves, creating a connection with nature. We started everyday off with an impressive breakfast, followed up by daily massages and ending the day with dinners at the pool. The staff set this place apart, with Yeyen making it special for us every morning. However, the biggest difference is the role Wendy and Jamie play, as they took care of all our excursions, driving requests, dinners on New Years Eve, etc. No request was too big, and it sure made it easy for us. We will be back, but next time longer, as we really embraced Bali, it's culture, it's people and more in the short time we were there.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about the Balian beach house. It’s the most peaceful, tranquil beautiful Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Every single thing was 10/10 from the delicious breakfasts in the morning with the beautiful sourdough toast. The amazing staff who go above and beyond to make your stay amazing and memorable. A massive shout out to Agus our amazing driver who was so flexible, kind & patient with us. We will forever adore him. The snorkelling is a must do when visiting the beach house it was absolutely amazing! The in house massages were standout! Paradise on Earth, a perfect getaway away from the crowd. The place is simply amazing, even better than the photos give out. We would rate it even higher than 5 stars if we could. Wendy & Jamie and the staff are incredibly helpful in anything you need. You can book day trips, drivers and evening meals by the pool if needed, or just enjoy the villa and the beach. As others have mentioned, there are geckos, butterflies and the like around the place, and the frogs can be a bit noisy at times. We loved every minute of our stay, and can recommend the place unconditionally.

We very much enjoyed our three nights at the the Beach House. The property is beautiful, and the staff were exceptional. We recommend getting massages and ordering at least one homemade dinner—you won’t be disappointed.

Couldn't ask for a better experience, the Beach House was exactly what we hoped it would be and more. The villa was relaxing and private, breakfasts and dinners were delicious, the snorkeling trip was totally worth it, and the driver Agus was a highlight of the trip. Definitely make a trip to Deki's Warung in town for great food and view. Jamie and Wendy were perfect hosts, responsive, helpful, friendly. They made everything effortless. We are already dreaming of coming back.

This was one of the most special places we have stayed in our lives. The service was perfect from drop-off to food & massage. The villa staff were amazingly friendly and discreet. This is one on the most magical places I have ever been, I could not recommend it more.

Absolute lovely place, far from the madness of Southern Bali. Beautiful pool, huge living and bedroom... all gorgeous and perfectly clean. This all just steps away from the beach. Special thanks to the lovely staff who served the most amazing breakfast.

One of the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at. The location is far from the airport (2+hours) and main tourist areas but it's well worth it for those who's looking for seclusion. Wendy was very helpful and patient with my questions and requests. Airport pick up was smooth and easy. The included breakfasts were delicious and we ordered dinner delivery every night; the local ladies were awesome cooks so definitely order food from them! We also ordered in-house massage every night. We had the whole house and pool to ourselves overlooking the beach. The beach was not too appealing but it didn't matter because it was almost private and all we needed was the ocean sound. For crystal clear water, sign up for the snorkeling tour which is well worth it. Overall, it's one of the most interesting experience I've ever had and I recommend it to those who's looking for peace and quiet.

If you are looking for an AMAZING setting, this is the place to go! The photos are very accurate but the ambience has to be experienced to be believed. Hosts were extremely responsive, staff at the villa were fantastic and overall this is the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. Definitely avail of Wendy and Jamie's driver Agus as he is super familiar with the area and will take you where you need to go. Simply an amazing and unforgettable experience!

The Beach House is an amazing place, quiet and right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets, delicious, homemade food and friendly staff. A hidden gem! We will be back!

Great Villa in a silent place to relax. The pick up service was really comfy. We can recommend you the driver Agus, who works with the hosts. We also booked a tour with him and it was an amazing experience. He bring us to really nice spots around the location and told us also the information about the places. Every trip was a pleasure with him. Thanks for that Agus! The villa matches fully with the pictures and the description. The communication was always simply, fast and helpful. If you need anything the staff and the host do everything to help you (hairdryer, iron, bug cream). The breakfast which was prepared every morning from the staff was excellent. Keep in mind that the villa is located in a silent area. It‘s a great place to relax and enjoy your day.

I’m sure the other reviews speak for themselves but this place is amazing! So far it’s been the highlight of our experience in Bali and I would not hesitate to book it again and would highly recommend to others! And it’s not just the gorgeous house and pool, The owners go out of their way to make sure that other services can be offered to guests for their convenience which really adds to the experience! And the beach is are very private as well. You will see some occasional people but there were many days that we had the entire beach to ourselves!

Our 2nd visit to the bea h house didn’t disappoint and it’s still one of our favourite places to be. So naturally beautiful, lovely village nearby, amazing breakfasts and the loveliest locals you will meet anywhere. Truely a hidden gem of Bali!

Amazing Airbnb! Located on a peaceful and quiet paradise. You have you so much space to yourself, even the beach is quiet and just has some locals and surfers. We got massages every day, swam in the pool every day, and loved breakfast served by the amazing staff! Highly recommend using the drivers that host works with, they took us around every day for adventures and also to get food as the privacy of the house makes it a little farther from restaurants . Overall, loved this unique place so much, especially seeing the sunrise and hearing the beautiful sounds of nature in the early mornings :)

This is hands down the best Airbnb stay we’ve had. The property is unbelievably gorgeous with a lovely pool, huge area to relax, and direct access to the beach. Jamie and Wendy and the rest of the staff were very attentive. Breakfast every morning was delicious and we were able to book massages, tours, and rides to town through them. This was super convenient! There is a small community run restaurant on their beach and in drier months you can walk across the river to town. Our driver, Augus, was amazing! He took us into town for dinner multiple times and all over for touring.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here in May 2022. It’s a beautiful villa situated on your own private beach. If you enjoy peace and space, this is the Airbnb for you. What an absolutely amazing paradise Jamie and Wendy have created in Bali! We stayed for a full week at their beach house in Balian Beach, and it could not have been a better experience. Their beautiful home is even better than the pictures, and truly provided a private environment where we could relax and recharge. Furthermore, the people they surrounded themselves with, from our driver to the chefs, were absolutely amazing (both at their jobs, and as people)! The communication with Jamie and Wendy was always prompt, and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to be happy. Prior to staying at The Balian Beach house, we spent a week at a 5-Star resort in Nua Dusa. While that week was wonderful, the experience at Jamie and Wendy’s was equally as amazing for a fraction of the cost! Highly recommend, and if we are in Bali again, we will absolutely be returning to the Balian Beach House!

The Villa was just the right place for us when we wanted some peace and quiet, surrounded by the natural beauty of Bali's coast. From poolside, we could watch birds and view the surf. The gardens are well maintained and tall palms dot the hillsides. Breakfasts are generous and they feature local ingredients. When we wanted to see the area, tours are easily arranged. Great place!

Very nice villa, The villa corresponds to the photo: perfect view, its own access to the beach, secluded beach, gorgeous territory, comfortable kitchen, everything you need for cooking. I come for VIEW and beach, it’s a best. I got more than I expected. Wi-FI good connection. Surfing good: in morning 10 person, in evenings my husband surf alone.

We booked this place last minute as a staycation as our home was being used as part of a retreat. We do not have enough words to say how amazing our experience was at Mimpi Villas (Beach House). The place is beautiful and sits on the ocean beneath the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It is immaculately kept with all the amenities one could ask for. The breakfast is excellent (we actually never ate anywhere else). For dinner we ordered out and while there are some good options, do not anchor your expectations too high. Restaurants are limited do to the pandemic. I strongly recommend Secret Bay or Casa Balian Cafe. The part that made this stay most magical were the hosts. Jamie greeted us right away and made us feel at home. He gave us and our daughter a tour of the gardens and farm area. Wendy his wife was so accommodating and helped us with our meals, errands and setting up childcare. They went above and beyond to make us feel grounded so we can ease in and enjoy. If you are in-between this and another stay in the Balian area, don't hesitate and make this your place. You will be happy you did. Wow, what an amazing house with an incredible view of the ocean. There was nothing like waking up to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore and then sitting out on the patio watching the ocean and the surfers. Jamie & Wendy also had a great team of helpers in Putu, Yeyen & Agus who were there for meals, cleaning, arranging trips or anything else I needed. Truly wonderful service. Can't wait to come back!! The place and the hosts were wonderful. This is an ideal location also considering Covid-19, as it is isolated and safe, while the views are spectacular. Great to relax in old and new normal !

This place is sooo much better in person!! We had the entire place to ourselves and the girls that came every morning for breakfast were so lovely to be around. Wendy is very easy to get a hold of with anything we wanted to book for the day which was great for last minute plans haha It’s easy to say this place is exactly what it’s deceived to be.

All the amazing reviews are well deserved. The food, the views, the atmosphere, hospitality, everything. The villa is super private and so is the beach. A few people passing by from time to time, but I often felt like I was the only person for miles. Very peaceful.

We stayed at the beach house for a week during our Balinese adventure. It's indescribably beautiful and the staff - Yeyen, Putu and Agus, especially, are pleasant and kind. A few nights in, my wife wasn't feeling well. Agus went to great lengths to help her find some relief and, ultimately, recover. I can't say enough about how special this place is - I didn't see anything like it anywhere else during our trip. We feel fortunate to have come across it and hope to return some day.

We booked a last min trip to The Beach House at Balian Beach and we’re so happy we chose to stay at Jamie and Wendy’s property. It’s a 2-3 hour drive from Denpasar but they arrange all the drivers for you and have someone meet you at the airport. The Beach House sits on the edge of the beach and is amongst a large grassy property with trees, flowers and a few animals. The best part of our stay was having an a la carte breakfast every morning by Putu and Yeyen, who are both very sweet and kind. We love them! A large fresh fruit platter of locally grown fruits is made everyday & the menu items are both sweet and savory w/ banana pancake options or an entire omelette with bacon & toast - as well as homemade granola w/ yogurt! The stay offers a dinner menu for purchase and we highly recommend their selected dinners! The food is all home cooked and taste delicious!! We would come home and look forward to the dinners actually. Since the stay is a bit far away from everything, there aren’t that much options for food. The fridge is also fully stocked w/ beverages for purchase. It was also nice that the owners provided brand new toothbrushes and a Colgate toothpaste for us too. The conditioner is also environmental friendly and detangles long hair just fine. Fresh towels and beach towels are provided and they even packed us a beach bag with swell water bottles on our ocean day excursion. They also have a water dispenser so you can just refill your bottles when you head out for the day. As for activities - we highly recommend the day snorkeling trip to Menjangan Island. It’s about a 2 hour drive from the beach house but our driver (Agus) was super friendly and entertaining. We had our own private boat and the sea life did not disappoint! Beautiful waters and the island even is home to local deer that come in the ocean to cool off. Agus even stopped by a few local spots on the drive home and did an exceptional job explaining the sites of the village. The Buddha and rice terraces are a must too. In house massages were also great and convenient bc they come to you. Naturally being in nature, there are quite a lot of bugs but the bed is netted so not much bug action in the bed. The frogs/toads are a bit loud at night but you eventually get used to it. The geckos and salamanders are kinda cool. The house has a lovely koi pond that connects the bedroom to the living so it’s fun to feed them every morning. Jamie and Wendy do live in a separate house on the property, but are very nice, non-intrusive and easy to talk to. Wendy is very quick to communicate and they even offer a local iPhone to help arrange any last minute changes. Very helpful when you’re on the go. We loved our stay and fell in love with the staff. We hope to be back again soon. The stay is quiet, peaceful and more secluded from the busy city so if you’re looking to relax, this is a great option.

My partner and I did not want to leave this beautiful beachside haven. Wow. The villa, location, and hospitality far exceeded our expectations. I wish we would have planned more time here! Balian Beach was so quiet and exactly what we wanted. We chose to have dinners at the villa each night. I cannot speak for the local restaurants because we enjoyed the dining in experience SO MUCH that we didn't try anywhere else. We also took Jamie & Wendy's recommendation of snorkeling on Menjangan Island, and it was an amazing day trip adventure! I am so grateful we found this place. It was truly a highlight of our trip.

The Beach House at Balian Beach was amazing! My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and we were blown away by the villa. It is a bit off the beaten path in Balian Beach, but that was exactly what we wanted. It's just steps away from the beautiful black sand beach, and a short trip to the village. Wendy and Jaime were extremely helpful in helping us plan excursions and providing us helpful tips for our stay. The staff was also amazing and made us incredible breakfast every morning. We also stayed in and had dinner one evening which was so delicious (highly recommend adding this on). Our favorite part of the whole stay was the day trip to go snorkeling. The guides, and drivers were very friendly and so accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone who is trying to get a unique experience in Bali.

A very very special place! The staff are amazing and so welcoming! I loved every minute of it! I felt so at peace and chilled out there. Jamie and Wendy’s home was simply perfection. We felt like royalty and incredibly pampered our entire time we were there. We went to bed listening to the sounds of the ocean and rose with the sun - not wanting to miss a minute of daylight relaxing by the pool and exploring the very authentic and welcoming town of Balian. Breakfast cooked every morning by YenYen and Putu were possibly our favorite meals of our entire time in Bali - SO good and with such an amazing view from the villa. We also did dinner by the pool one night at sunset which was magical and so delicious - definitely worth it. And can’t forget about the daily massages and spa treatments in the comfort of the villa - very reasonably priced and the girls are very good. We tried pretty much every type of massage and thought they were all excellent! Talk about relaxing! The town of Balian is so charming and definitely off the beaten track which meant less tourists and more authentic experiences - which we were so glad to have. Walking distance from the house is a surf shack with pretty tasty food that we happily ate at a few nights. There is a river that can be crossed to get to town with many other cute restaurants and things to do during the day - the river gets too high to cross at night so if you want to go out for dinner make sure you plan a ride ahead of time. Secret Bay was definitely worth it for the views alone - tasty food too. Regarding the accommodations - everything is provided to you that you could possibly need - shampoo, conditioner, soap, TP, a water dispenser (which was AWESOME to minimize the amount of plastic - we just kept filling our water bottles and didn’t have to spend money on water). Surprisingly, there weren’t many bugs but the bedroom has netting and nice AC which helps. Outdoor bathroom was just heavenly. Last but not least, Jamie and Wendy and their staff are incredibly welcoming and sweet and always availble to help with anything needed. We wished we had stayed longer (we were there for 4 days). Basically, stay here if you know what’s good for you - you will be very well taken care of and VERY relaxed. Thank you!!!

My wife and I visited Wendy and Jamie's place on our last stop in Bali on our Honeymoon. Their place is truly amazing. The villa itself is a unique and beautifully designed space with many areas to relax and take in the view of the beach. We were big fans of the garden and the two streams that run along both sides of the property into the ocean. It was luxurious while providing the feeling of being part of nature and the ocean. Wendy, Jamie and their staff were very accommodating. We took advantage of many of their services including home cooked meals and and in-villa massages.

We absolutely loved staying at The Beach House. It was definitely a highlight of our honeymoon. The Beach House is so unique and there were thoughtful touches throughout the house that made it such a special stay. Putu and Yeyen made us delicious breakfasts every morning, and we also took advantage of having most of our dinners at the house, which were all amazing. We also did spa treatments everyday, and loved and appreciated those ladies as well. If you have a chance to come to The Beach House, don’t hesitate! There’s nothing like watching the sun set every evening from the pool overlooking the ocean.

Our stay at the Beach House was truly the highlight of our 3 weeks in Bali. The space is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with breathtaking views of the beach and its incredible sunsets. The food was some of the best we had during our trip (I recommend the sweet and sour chicken, incredible) and the staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful--I had a stomach issue one day and Putu made a special tea for me....just wonderful people. Balian Beach is truly the "real Bali;" far removed from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities and is idyllic in all ways. This place is out of a dream. You have a koi pond in between your bedroom and living area that then opens up to one of the best views you could possibly have with the infinity pool and beach. The house service make an extraordinary breakfast for you every morning and it is the perfect way to start off the day. There are so many subtle details that went into creating this paradise. The bath tub actually drains into watering the plants. There are restaurants down the beach if you feel like having something different. All in all this place is now my favorite Airbnb my wife and I have stayed in across the world. We hope to come back in the future!

Wij hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in het Balian beach house. Het huis is goed onderhouden, ontzettend schoon en bovenal zeer smaakvol ingericht. Echt een plek om bij te komen. Op 5 minuten loop afstand is er een klein dorpje waar een aantal restaurantjes zitten. Wendy en jaimy hebben boek gemaakt waarin deze allemaal beschreven staan. En mocht het niet in het boek staan dan zijn de verhuurders erg behulpzaam met organiseren van bijvoorbeeld een surfles. Wanneer je geen zin hebt om weg te gaan van het prachtige huis is het ook mogelijk om een geheel verzorgd diner te krijgen van een van de dames die ook het ontbijt iedere dag verzorgen. Al met al, het was super en wij zouden het iedereen aanraden! Veel dank!

Our stay with Wendy and Jamie was extraordinary. The beach house is an amazing place to relax and enjoy in tranquility. We really enjoyed our stay at Jamie and Wendy's place. The view was beautiful, and we quite happily spent a few days lounging about and enjoying the surroundings. The breakfast and local dinner was wonderful and really added to the experience. There are a lot of thoughtful touches and considerations, from free laundry and a well stocked minibar to the lovely amenities in the bathroom. Local places to eat were about ten minutes down the beach, beautiful at sunset. Truly immersed in nature if that is your thing. We had a wonderful time, thanks for your hospitality!!

We stayed at The Beach House for 14 days in September. The Beach House was beautiful, even better than in the photos. We would like to thank Jamie and Wendy for their service. They quickly responded to all our problems/requests. We would also like to thank the girls who cleaned the villa and prepared us meals. They were all very nice and made the best omelettes we've ever had. We also recommend the dinners in the villa, the desserts were great. If you would like a relaxing holiday, definitely book the villa, it was really nice and private.

The beach house was absolutely perfect. The location was a bit off the beaten path but that was just what we wanted after traveling around the busy island of Bali. We enjoyed having our own basically private beach just steps away from the house. The pool looking over the beach was just beautiful. Putu and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and so convenient. Jamie and Wendy were so kind and responsive. On top of all this, on the last night we were there my husband got very sick, the next day Jamie and Wendy allowed us to change all of our drivers plans, stay an extra night and accommodated our every need while he got better. They went so far to get us some medication that helped without even being asked. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The only thing to have a heads up about is, you are outside, I’m Bali, we had several visitors in the form of dogs and lizards. Once we got used to it the gecko that hung out in the bathroom was no problem.

Where to begin. The Balian Beach House exceeded our expectations. My husband and I chose this location for our honeymoon and it definitely did not disappoint! We traveled the day after our wedding from the United States (>24 hour trip) so we were exhausted by the time we finally made it to Bali. Getting off the plane, we quickly found Wayan who was very welcoming — at our request he made stops at the grocery store and the money exchange. (We definitely recommend bringing about $50-100 USD per day depending on if you plan to go on excursions, massages, eat out, etc. as we had some trouble with our credit and debit cards at the ATMs). We ended up getting to the beach house after sunset the first night so couldn’t see the beautiful beach but we were so excited about the house. From the coy ponds to the master bedroom and outdoor bathroom and tub room, everything was beautiful. We went for walks on the beach (black sand - gorgeous!), which is about 40 feet from the property, every morning. By the time we got back from our walks, Yeyen and Putu would arrive with breakfast. We were shocked at how delicious the breakfasts were! The yogurt and granola was amazing, my husband had an omelette almost every day with fresh duck eggs — pancakes, eggs any style, fried bananas, fresh fruit smoothies all so yummy! We also chose to have dinner at the house most nights. Highly recommend the BBQ chicken and the crispy chicken dishes, the snapper was also great! Putu made us dessert every night as well. Putu and Yeyen cleaned the house each morning and offered to do our laundry a couple times throughout the week. Our massage therapists, Kadek and Ayu, were wonderful and made us feel very comfortable. We had two traditional balinese massages, the hot stone massage, and the aloe vera body mask — all highly recommended! We are so happy we decided to go on the snorkeling trip, one of the highlights of our honeymoon. Our driver, Agus, went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable day. Our snorkeling instructor, Dharma, was great — he brought us to see a fish farm and some beautiful landmarks. Agus took us to a temple in the mountains and stopped at one of the rice fields. Again, this “excursion” was so worth every penny. Taylor and I would like to thank everyone who helped to make our honeymoon so special — Putu and Yeyen you are two of the most kind hearted people we have met. Agus, Wayan, Dharma, Kadek and Ayu (massage), Kadek (cleaning/chef), and anyone else we may have missed. The hosts of this beautiful beach house, Wendy and Jamie, are wonderful people. They made themselves available if we had any questions or if we needed anything during our stay. If they needed to come by the house for any reason, they always let us know via text prior to coming over. They treated us as if we were family. This house and the experience that came with the house was way more than we had ever hoped and expected it to be. Unforgettable experience, and we hope to return again soon!!

Absolutely stunning villa. Everything about the space is perfect. The breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing and the girls took such great care of us. We had the dinner cooked in the villa one night, an absolute must. This was a great quiet peaceful area, and a perfect place to start begin our honeymoon.

An incredible paradise that you get all to yourself! The house is beautifully designed, with a pool looking out to what is basically a private beach. The special services offered - massage, in-home meals, day trip arrangements - were phenomenal. Jamie and Wendy were always super responsive and a great help, and their staff (especially Sonar our driver) were absolutely delightful!

Let me first say thank you to Jamie, Wendy and the staff for an incredible experience. The villa is exceptional! It's located straight on the beach with a view to die for. Right alongside a beautiful well kept garden. There's a big pond with fish and fountains basically running through the house which very peaceful and the villa is nicely lit and decorated. The outdoor bathroom and bath are nice as well. The bedroom is beautiful too. The infinity pool looks amazing and is very clean. The daily breakfast is excellent as well. The staff comes in every morning to make breakfast and then clean the place. Dinner is great too if you decide to dine at the villa. Their staff is lovely. They always welcome you with a smile and they even taught us some Balinese. The location of the house is a bit remote, but with the driver they work with (who was awesome as well), you can get anywhere you like. You can also rent a scooter. There's also a small village close by where you can eat. We would highly recommend Jamie & Wendy's villa!

We had the same experience as everyone else that has visited this amazing property...it truly is magical. Not only is the physical space stellar but the all the people that we encountered were so lovely especially the ladies that made breakfast and dinner. Wendy and Jamie were great as well always responsive to our questions and Wendy was even able to help my husband to source a longboard when the ones available for rent at the surf camp were too small. One of the reviews referenced bugs -- my husband and I were actually blown away by few bugs/lizards we saw considering its an open air house in a tropical environment.

Beyond amazing. Completely exceeded our expectations, which were already quite high. All of the staff were so nice and helpful. Breakfast was incredible everyday and the meals you can purchase are so delicious and i’d highly suggest having them cook for you. The house is incredible and the views of the ocean make it just paradise. It’s the perfect quiet get away and i’d highly suggest staying here.

Undoubtedly the best Airbnb I've stayed at. Quiet and comfortable with access to all the amenities and service you would expect more on the beaten path in Bali. If you're OK with a very steep, but short hike, would recommend taking a trip to the waterfalls just up in the hills.

My husband and I chose Wendy and Jamie's Beach House as our destination for our honeymoon, and we could not have had a better trip! Not only were Wendy and Jamie beyond gracious and kind, they were also very helpful in arranging drivers and excursions, as well as lending some information on local sights and eateries. The menu at the Beach House is unique and delicious, and we eat in at the house more often than we went out for a bite. The staff at the house are also just as kind and thoughtful as our hosts. They keep the house very clean and well stocked with anything you might need, including soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and paste, as well as various types of alcoholic beverages, coffee, fruits and more! We cannot wait to head back to Balian for another relaxing vacation at the House. :)

This property was perfection! The team of people were there every step of the way to make the stay relaxing, comfortable and fun!

Where to begin. This place exceeded all expectations, which were very high in the first place! The staff were ALL polite and sweet. The meals they prepared at the house were outstanding. Breakfast every morning was phenomenal. We seriously loved every meal we had! The location is beyond perfect. The beach is so private, although there are sometimes locals that walk through, you mostly have the whole beach to yourself. The black sand is gorgeous and the beachfront was awesome for playing in the waves or chilling on the sand. The pool is the perfect temperature and the property perfectly faces the sunset every night. We most definitely want to return to this villa someday. It was a dream vacation! Very beautiful, private. and relaxing.

Amazing place to stay! Hosts were wonderful, as were all the locals who work closely with Jamie and Wendy. From the incredible breakfasts/dinner by the pool, to our daily massages in the house, as well as surfing lessons and Wayun's availability to help with transport/anything we needed we loved our stay here.

The kitchen was clean and the drinking glasses were polished to perfection. # Fantastic staff team, cook, masseuse, cleaners, drivers and your laundry comes back smelling great. They even removed a heap of candle wax spilt all over my good shorts! # The pool and grounds are well maintained. # Excellent communication from Jamie & Wendy, including their staff. # Surf beach right on your door step! Wake up and go! # Local tours were great, especially Secret Bay and Munduk Falls. # Basically everything you need is provided and taken care of including scooter hire dropped right at your door :-) # The only thing I can pick on was that the frogs were very noisy at night so take some ear plugs. Otherwise from my perspective this property is the perfect choice for your stay in paradise.

Fantastic property if you are looking to get away and relax. Jamie and Wendy were incredibly helpful and everything was completely set up and taken care of upon arrival! Breakfast every morning was AMAZING and the neighboring restaurants are cheap and authentic. Wayan was our driver for the week and he was so helpful and took us to all of the local spots - would definitely recommend doing your day trips with him! One thing to note is that the villa is an open air concept place, and the bugs are a plenty - don't leave your food out! Thanks to Jamie and Wendy for an amazing stay.

If you can't already tell by the endless 5-star reviews, pictures, and super host status of Jamie and Wendy let me make it clear for you. This home is an experience of a lifetime. My wife and I used this home as a honeymoon destination and we will definitely be making a return visit. From the start to the end of our stay, Jamie and Wendy went above and beyond to make every experience easy, fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. Both Jamie and Wendy were extremely responsive and helpful when we need them during our stay. Day trips, spa treatments, and in-home meals were easy to coordinate and only enhanced the overall great home experience. This home is a little bit removed from the more tourist-heavy areas of Bali. My wife and I fell in love with this home and enjoyed the more quiet atmosphere. The area gives you great versatility to enjoy seclusion and breathtaking scenery yet easily visit other parts of the island with a coordinated driver or scooter. The Home - Extremely clean, well kept, and traditionally detailed with beautiful Balinese architecture and local style/design elements. From the koi pond to the hand-carved bed frame there are beautifully crafted details throughout the entire home. The Food/Service - Superb food selections and spa treatments. All ingredients and in-home meals were extremely fresh and delicious. Breakfast was my favorite with all the fresh fruit and made to order selections. Spa treatments were a dream with the natural sound of waves crashing in the background. The Views - The best sunrise/sunsets I have ever seen. The home sits perfectly on the beach allowing you to see all of Bali's natural beauty as the day unfolds. Pictures and videos don't do this place justice. The home, the food/service, and the views, however, pale in comparison to the true gem of this home and the island of Bali as a whole: THE PEOPLE - Everyone we interacted with our entire stay was so inviting, kind, caring, and genuinely fun to talk to. The stories, the smiles, and the connections will never be forgotten. Though it was my wife and I's first time in Bali it felt like our home away from home. The most peaceful place I have ever been! With the most giving hosts! A must stay

Imagine watching the sunset on the beach, walk 3 minutes to the villa and take a nice dip in the pool, and then walk through a beautiful Balinese modern villa to an exposed marble bathtub. This is what we did every evening when we stayed here and it was the best thing ever.

An Airbnb that’s a class above the rest. Wendy and Jamie, their staff, and the grounds welcome you with warmth and openness. From taking a walk on the quiet beach or a swim in the ocean in the early morning hours or a swim in the pool, to having an expert driver show you around Bali, to being served a wonderfully tasty breakfast or Balinese dinner overlooking the sunset on the beach, to having a relaxing massage on the premises while listening to the ocean waves, the Beach House is a quiet and relaxing tropical paradise with the all-around staff service you'd find in a luxury hotel.

We had a truly wonderful week at Balian Beach which we will remember for the entire life. the place is incredibly located, directly facing the beach and the ocean, so that you're fully isolated from everything. Great place to surf and escape more crowded areas. It is worth to mention that the place is not suitable for all travelers as there is a price to pay for being so quiet, peaceful and charming. If you're looking for a spot close to various restaurants, parties, shopping, networking - all that you'd expect from the South - you will not find it here, so just look for another region to stay. Transportation can be a problem as well. Not for us though - as we were offered a great driver to support us during our self-organized daily tours and transfers. However, if you plan on using services from companies or guides serving south regions, be prepared to pay extra for the transfer from the villa to many places on the island. It is considered a "remote" area by some. If you're on a bike or a car, it's not a problem but the time on the road can be rather long. So, just plan your journey in advance and check the geography of the location with Google Maps to be fully prepared.

The villa is amazing and as per the pictures. We ordered a driver so no hassle to check-in. The villa is relatively remote, with no traffic around and almost zero tourist on the beach. We had kind attentions from the housekeeping team and they were always available to help (little extras like coconut, very nice breakfast, massages upon requests were great). Considering the price, we can highlight the following downside, although remaining very small points which could be improved : - The bedroom/ bathroom are not fully isolated and you are around animals (frogs, mices, gecko...), so it could be quite noisy and disturbing at night - The wifi was very slow. - The lights could be improved (especially for dinner outside) Overall, we had a very nice time at the villa !

I simply cannot day enough wonderful things about this magical home. I was slightly worried when I booked it because it seemed ‘too good to be true’. I can assure you that it is even better in person. Jamie and Wendy go above and beyond to organize your stay and make everything as easy as possible. The house is simply breathtaking and the people that they have to help you (cooking, driving, and spa services) were all outstanding. Definitely take advantage of these extras! We had an amazing time and could not believe our luck in finding such a perfect spot. This was a great way to relax and enjoy the end of our trip. I only wish we had had more time to spend there. We had a truly beautiful stay at this villa, it's such a wonderful spot where you can really feel like you have the beach to yourself. The space feels very luxe and just what you would want for a special occasion getaway.

The Balian Beach House is situated on a large plot of land giving guests a full unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean, beach and its beautifully palm lined landscaped grounds. The pool is professionally serviced and self maintains its perfect temperature 24/7. The home is ideally set up for couples but can accommodate one or two more if needed. The home is actually two homes (front/main and back/bedroom) connected by a short stone walk over a koi pond. Each of the homes are reconstructions of original/traditional Balinese homes affording the guests a pure Balinese Beach living experience. Our stay was for a full month. Each morning the staff would serve us a beautiful breakfast of home grown delicacies, in particular, rich orange yolked duck eggs. Dinners were either made for us on the premises or we would walk down the beach about 10 minutes to the small beach town area that offered a variety of restaurants. We highly recommend the Balian Beach House for those who desire a private getaway location and Balinese architectural aesthetic. If you are a surfer, all the better. Wow! What a treat this was! We stayed at Wendy and Jamie’s beach house for five nights to kickstart our Bali honeymoon. The daily breakfasts by Ayu and dinners by Agush were delicious! We also took advantage of the spa menu and got daily massages . Getting massages in house with the sounds of the waves crashing outside was incredibly relaxing.. you are sooo close to the beach too! You can hear the waves 24/7, helping you go to sleep. The ocean was warm and shallow. The beach was never too crowded, almost always have it to yourself. There were a few cafes walking distance on the beach. Wendy and Jamie were the best. Greeted us in the morning (we arrived at midnight !), prompt communication and even gave us some medicine and ginger tea when we fell ill halfway through our stay. They respected our privacy too. Also, just know that this is Bali, so don’t be alarmed if you find geckos or a bug inside the home. ;)

I don’t even know where to begin, this was our first stay in Bali and it was absolutely breathtaking! The house itself was immaculate and the services offered were outstanding! We enjoyed walking along Balian Beach, visiting nearby locations such as Pondok Pitaya and Balian Surf Camp. The sunsets we experienced were phenomenal and unforgettable! We also really enjoyed having Sonar as our driver to Ubud and visiting the monkey forest, waterfalls and local restaurants. The in-house massages were also very relaxing! Wonder place to stay in! It’s a dream house with a dream location. Wonderful staff as well and the whole atmosphere of the place is just breathtaking.

What an amazing end to our honeymoon! Jamie, Wendy and their amazing staff provided everything we needed to really unwind and enjoy the last few days of an unbelievable trip together. If you are looking to escape the crowds, traffic, and hustle of southern Bali for your own private paradise, this is the spot for you. A few things that made this stay awesome: - the hospitality - it rivals what we experienced at the aman resorts elsewhere on the island. If you would like more of any of the provided supplies (e.g. fresh fruit, more wine, etc) they arrive in an instant with a smile! You can also arrange transportation, massages, etc with a simple whatsapp message on the provided phone. We took advantage of drive to menjangan island for diving and wish we had booked more than one massage! - the food - Agus made some of the best dinners we had on the trip and even kept things gluten free for my wife! Stewed prawns, fried squid and creme brulee...oh my! - the spot - at low tide you can make a left onto the beach and walk...and walk...and walk past one beautiful beach to another. Through tunnels and over dramatic natural jettys. Bring appropriate footwear and create your own romantic adventure! As Jamie and Wendy will tell you and you will see on the drive out, Balian is a fairly remote part of the island, so amenities beyond the basics are somewhat limited. However, if you are looking for the simple joy of a serene spot on a beautiful beach, this will have everything you need and more. Thank you Jamie and Wendy for the amazing trip! Will and Aly

Staying at the beach house in beautiful Balian as guests of Wendy and Jamie was an absolute treat. The driver was there at the airport on time and we made the journey through bustling Seminyak into the most beautiful countryside. The last half of the journey drives through the most extraordinary countryside with terraced rice fields and real tropical jungle. Jamie and Wendy were there on arrival to welcome and show through the property. The beach house is beautifully designed and constructed with great attention to details. As an architecture buff it was a real treat. The designer has incorporated vintage Balinese pieces into a very well thought out series of spaces. Let me give an example. The master bedroom is air conditionined and features a huge canopy bed. Directly in front is the view out to the tropical garden (more on that later) there are two open air court yards off the bedroom, one with a big freestanding bath and the other with the shower. Both lush with palm trees. Moving through to the main living space involves crossing a Koi pond. The main living space is huge. A big dining table for six, a full kitchen and the seating area. This then leads out to the infinity swimming pool which overlooks the ocean. Walking from the house to the beach is about 20 metres. It was just delightful to sit by the pool and watch the passing parade of local Balinese, surfers and kids playing soccer. For me the biggest surprise was the garden that the house was set in. Imagine an enormous lawn (literally the size of a football field), perfectly green surrounded by palm trees and every tropical shrub and flower you can imagine leading down to the beach. (It would be perfect for a wedding!) if you get the chance, book and don’t miss staying at this extraordinary property Brendan

Wonderful place to spend a week easily chill out with family and friends. Absolutely friendly and helpful neighborhood, breathtaking nature with much much less traffic and tourists than ubud or seminyak. A quiet peaceful week - loved it!

Wow! What a wonderful vacation spot. If you're looking to relax and recharge, this home is the perfect spot! It's "off the beaten path" but every need is taken care of. The included breakfast is amazing! Which sets you up for the perfect day of walking on the beach, reading by the pool, having a facial or massage, yoga, you name it! The small village of Balian Beach has a few local restaurants we enjoyed exploring. But the highlight is definitely the relaxing home that we can't wait to return to!

We had a wonderful stay at The Beach House. From the moment we stepped inside and were greeted warmly by the lovely staff, to the time we left it was fantastic. Not only is the property in a superb location (Balian is really special and the house is right on the beach) but the house itself is quite amazing and unique. Jamie and Wendy are very friendly owners who genuinely care about their guests. We stayed with a baby and a 2 year old and it was the little touches like providing child friendly cutlery, high chair, play mat, beach toys and also the staff entertaining our kids with visits to see the pigs and geese that really made our stay with children so easy. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone, this place has everything.

After reading previous reviews my expectations were quite high - but the villa still exceeded what We expected. Villa is perfect, location is perfect, villa staff and hosts assistance just right. Breakfasts are amazing and local amenities whilst few- were a real Balinese experience. Prefect for a couple looking for a romantic escape from reality. Wouldn’t change a thing and already planning when we can return- thank you Jamie and Wendy for sharing this amazing place!

This place is an absolute gem. I highly recommend making the trek from the city to this remote paradise. You'll come back from your vacation refreshed and sun burned : ) .... Jamie and Wendy are ideal hosts and very attentive. I also recommend the walking up the beach to the sushi place or the western grill. The Tuna sashimi if some of the best I've had. Bring plenty of bug spray and don't fret about the some of the bugs.

Jamie and Wendy facilitated an incredible experience from the moment we touched down in Bali to the moment we left and I would highly recommend anyone considering renting The Beach House to book immediately. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, welcoming and hospitable staff and beautiful property made for an incredibly memorable stay.

Jemie ’s villa is a bit far away from the centre . But that was not a problem coz it has a such wonderful beach that I’ve never seen . The villa is ancient designed with a huge outdoor private garden and a swimming pool . The ladies prepared nice breakfast for us every morning with the menu u could choose what to eat for another morning . Their laundry was fantastic and also their service . We tried cooking home one time , the ladies brought us the materials with well prepared . My bf was shocked about the service coz in china we don’t hv such nice services . We had a four day staying at jemie’s villa . Sometimes we went out to seminya or canggu , sometimes we just stay at the villa just relax and enjoy . there’s also a fantastic bay near the villa . at jemie’s villa u could rent scooter or a car . But for my advice , bali’s traffic is not that good for driving , it was better to drive a scooter . About 10mins driving u could reach the secretary bay . It was amazing especially when the waves get higher . Tabanan is famous for surfing . We saw many surfers surfing there everyday . And jemie is also a great surfer but a pity was that he cannot surf during my stay . we also took a surfing lesson , the coach will come to the villa then took us to the beach , taught us how to surf . whats more , we had spa delivery . The ladies came and spa for us . That was exdreamly relax . In bali , u won’t miss it . It was a great choice for us to stay at jemie’s villa , this beautiful ,private ,peaceful place we would come back again .

Beautiful place and highly recommended. Great to relax and never leave. The attention to detail is brilliant. Ice cold glasses in the freezer, beers, wine and soft drinks available for modest price (same or cheaper than any warung or nearby bar/restaurant). Wifi is great, interactive speakers to play music in common area and swimming pool. We enjoyed the home cooked meal which was sensational and extremely convenient to have at the villa while watching the sunset. Very much enjoyed our time here.

I highly recommend Wendy and Jamie's place. I've stayed in Airbnbs all over the world and this is hands down the best experience I've had. The pictures are amazing, but the villa is UNBELIEVABLE. My husband and I skipped through the place aghast at the place! It is the most magical place on earth. The pool is magic - the temperature perfect, sparkling clean and the view from its edge are breathtaking! What Wendy and Jamie's pictures can't do is give you the sound experience - waves crashing all night punctuated by little geckos. I had to pinch myself! Every morning we awoke to glorious views of the pool and the surf beyond. The spa treatments were divine. Wendy and Jamie have thought of everything. Also, Balian beach is much cheaper than the main parts of Bali so you can splash out on this beautiful accomodation and then enjoy all the little restaurants up the beach and the gorgeous food cooked by Agus and the staff. Oh to be there now!

Lovely people, beautiful spot, amazing (Bali style) beachhouse. Paradise!!!

We absolutely loved our time at the beautiful Beach House at Balian Beach - it really lives up to the lovely photos. The sunsets are stunning and only a 2 minute walk to swim in the sea. Wendy and Jamie kindly arranged for Dharma, a great yoga instructor, and two wonderful masseuses to come each morning. They have created a very professional dinner menu and spa menu to choose from. Agus’ cooking was truly delicious - she should write a cookbook and have her own restaurant! Wonderful Balinese food with a western twist and the best creme brûlée either of us have ever had. The breakfasts and dinners were a real highlight of our stay so we highly recommend staying in for sunset dinners at home! Other thoughtful touches we were very impressed by were that Jamie personally welcomed us, both Jamie and Wendy gave their time for a chat, they arranged a scooter which awaited us at the villa, mosquito spray, sunscreen, toothpaste and toothbrushes were provided, the staff did our washing without any extra charge and Jamie and Wendy were very accommodating on our last day as we had a late flight. All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the quality of service offered puts this place above and beyond. We also loved the feeling of being close to nature at this villa and seeing the ducks, geese and guinea fowl. If you’re a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs for the frog and other night sounds. We couldn’t recommend the Beach House highly enough - must book!

The beach house is in a beautiful location, the house is better then the pictures, and the staff were outstanding! We loved our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to be off the beaten path in Bali but still have all the amenities.

This place was the listing that become the foundation of our vacation. It was one of the first listings that I found and became one of the main reasons for our trip to Bali. We spent our last 3 days here and it couldn’t have been a better decision. Everything about our stay was amazing. Our first night we decided to utilize the kitchen to make dinner and eat by the pool and enjoy the sunset. It was a night I’ll never forget as I later proposed to my girlfriend. The second day we spent enjoying the beach and the pool. We walked down to the local restaurant for dinner and literally debated canceling the remaining plans and sites we wanted to see just to enjoy our time at the Beach House. However Wendy makes it easy to book a driver for a full day which is what we decided to do instead of booking a tour. Our driver was amazing. He suggested a few attractions that were already along the way of our list of personal sites of interest. He made the day worthwhile, maximizing our time to see as much as possible without feeling rushed. Can’t say enough about this place. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home even for just 3 days. Highly recommend having dinner prepared for you at the house as we do so on our final night. One of the best meals we had while on the island. Wish we had more time!

If you're looking for the perfect place to stay then look no further. Balian Beach is beautiful, quiet countryside on the beach, but there is plenty to do and see there. Jamie and Wendy go out of there way to make this YOUR home while you are there. They are kind and accommodating. The "Girls" who take care of you are professional and sweet. You will not regret booking a stay here. It is simply perfect. This was our second stay at this house and we are already looking forward to our third. I literally cannot even think of something negative to say about the entire experience

Beautiful place in sensational remote location directly on beach. Typical of how bali used to be. Really fabulous villa and beautiful kind staff. Great breakfasts and great hosts. I definitely recommend.

If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing, private home with incredible views, food, and amenities, you've definitely come to the right place. The Beach House is the perfect place to stay and relax. Wendy and Jamie are amazing hosts and have plenty of good advice on day trips and activities, but with a house and pool so nice, why bother? You can take surf lessons on the beach out front, rent a scooter to explore the village, get a massage, and have a decadent sunset dinner on the pool deck. Honestly, you should just go. Now. We would still be there if we could!

Wonderful stay at Balian beach. Jamie,Wendy and August are very nice and helpful. Excellent wifi and the food was amazing! Beautiful views. If you want an incredible view all day long you could do no better than here. In addition, all the bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent. Great layout with an emphasis on the outdoor areas. Easy access to the beach. Secluded and lovely. This has been one of my favorite Airbnb's that I've ever stayed at and I would highly recommend!

Our 10-day stay at The Balian Beach House exceeded all expectations! Our amazing vacation began with amazing communication with Jamie + Wendy to help coordinate our trip from the airport and set the tone for ultimate relaxation. We were beyond impressed with the house itself-- loved the decor and high quality features throughout! Fantastic location and amazing services available throughout our stay! Left feeling like we were family. The food was amazing, breakfast and dinner at the house was phenomenal! Catered to our every need and even watched our kids while we enjoyed some massages. Jamie and Wendy are great hosts, very welcoming and accommodating to any request. This is the ideal beach house experience with a small farm for the kids to enjoy!

Jamie and Wendy's Beach House villa is paradise on earth!!! We booked here to begin our Bali honeymoon and were met at the airport by pre-arranged driver Sonar, and were close to speechless when we arrived at the Beach House! Photos don't do this place justice, it is even more gorgeous in real life! Huge, open-concept villa - we had so much space for just the two of us! We enjoyed the tastiest breakfasts and dinners from Yeyan, Ayu, and Putu, and in-villa spa treatments from Desak, Ayu and their amazing team! Dinner in the villa is a must! Thank you Jamie, Wendy and to all of your amazing team! We're already planning our second trip to Bali and will definitely see you again! :)

Simply breathtaking house in modern Balinese style. It looks beautiful in picture, but the reality it is much better! Jamie and Wendy are really nice and helped us with all our needs (organizing trips, finding local guides/drivers, and so on). Simply the best place if you want to relax, surf and explore a less touristic part of Bali.

We had a great time at 'the beach house'. 30 degrees everyday and a sweet pool was just what we needed. Watching waves crashing, and stunning Balinese sunsets from the pool was definitely very cool. There are a lot of little things that made us really enjoy our stay, but the highlight (other than the pool) was a sense of privacy, and being looked after by the staff ... fabulous, friendly women who brought us an amazing breakfast each morning, stocked up the fridge with cold beers and tidied up. In-house, home cooked dinners (if you order them) we're really quite incredible. I was able to bluetooth my music to the wireless speakers and kick back. Anyway, you get the idea ... we liked it a lot.

Wow. If we could give 6 stars, we would. We came to this magical paradise for our honeymoon and we were swept away. Wendy and Jamie were delightful and so helpful whenever we needed advice or assistance. The place is breathtaking. The comfort, luxury and style is otherworldly. And, of course, Bali is a treasure. What else is there to say? We loved our stay at the beach house and will remember it forever. Thank you!

After doing tons of research my husband and I decided to spend the first half of our honeymoon here and are so happy we did. If you want to relax and be pampered this is the place to be. We ate all meals in the villa except one, the food was exceptional! We would recommend the orange chicken. We also got in house massages every night which were amazing and affordable. The hosts always responded to us right away when we wanted to book something through them. Would recommend this place to anyone! We hope to be back one day.

We echo everyone's glowing reviews. We began to refer to Wendy as our fairy godmother because she could make whatever we needed or wanted appear! Amazing meals and services (massages, driver, hair cut, pedicure, cleaning). The property is so well cared for, and everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. We loved the location because it was secluded, just outside of the main village, but close enough that we could walk there. We mostly stayed at the Beach House and around the village because we just loved it there so much, but we did venture out one day to visit a local rice terrace, waterfall, and temple. We also had fun crossing the river near the village, which was waist high when we were there. We were going to surf but instead opted to rent boogie boards, and we played in the waves right outside the beach house. Wendy had the local surf instructor deliver the boards for us, which was awesome. Oh and payment for services was also easy - everything is kept track of in a notebook and you can pay in cash at the end, or they can charge what you owe via Airbnb to your credit card. All in all, this was the perfect honeymoon for us, and we would definitely go back.

Wendy and Jamie are great hosts, everything about our stay at the beach house was easy, well organised and communication was excellent. The local staff were fabulous. The house and garden are beautiful, and the Balian beach area is great. I just wish we had booked a few more days here!

My husband and I had an AMAZING time. Right on the beach, amazing views, gorgeous house and pool. Very secluded and relaxing, get you can walk to some small beach restaurants down the beach. Beautiful sunsets, my husband was able to rent a surfboard down the beach as well. Highly recommend having dinner prepared at the house, it was incredible. Breakfast also was amazing. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Jamie and Wendy were amazing hosts overall. Hope we get to come back again sometime in the future!

Wow what can i say about this place for our Honeymoon. We arrived when it was dark so couldn't see the view but was immediately in love with the open plan layout of the villa. I then didn't sleep all night waiting for sunrise. I got up at around 6am to the most amazing view, looking out over the beautiful infinity pool onto the beach and waves crashing in behind. The bathroom and shower areas are amazing like the stone carved bath and the rain water shower on a huge stone next to the fish swimming in the man made river crossing the villa. Breakfast was brought by the girls each day with a varied choice as well as fresh fruit platter and coffee. Then whilst you tucked in the girls tidied the villa. Jamie and Wendy helped us organise trips with there polite and friendly drivers with air conditioned cars. They also invited us onto the beach to release some baby turtles with there friends that will be a memorable experience. We had massages by the girls each day to which there was a extensive selection of too. These really helped us have a relaxing experience. Then each night we also had a fresh cooked meal at the villa, these are really good value and i would definitely recommend, we are just gutted we couldn't finish the whole menu. The fridge is always stocked up each day with drinks and you just keep a tab of what you drink and pay at the end. Then for lunches you could walk down the beach which you pretty much have to yourself apart from the young children flying their kites into the sunset. Amazing experience for our Honeymoon. We are already talking about a return trip in a few years to relive the memories we created. Thanks too much Jamie and Wendy !!!

Where to begin about this beautiful place?! My husband and I spent the second part of our honeymoon at Jamie and Wendy's place and we enjoyed every single minute. The pictures do not do the Beach House justice. The pool is beautiful and quite private, however, it is still possible to see silhouettes of people on the beach. Also, at times, there are some fishermen that walk by the villa on their way to the beach. However, on the whole, the house is very private and has a beautiful lawn and view of the ocean from the pool and cabana. The dinners and breakfasts were amazing at the house, and for lunch, there is a local warung a short walk down the beach (beware of dogs at the warung if you're scared of dogs!). Overall, we loved our stay at the Beach House, and will definitely look forward to staying there again during our next trip to Bali!

So private like early Bali a beautiful property to stay in

Great place. Really quiet and relaxing. Jamie and Wendy were extremely good hosts. Gave us a lot of privacy but were there whenever we needed them. Food was always fresh and on time. Just one thing people should know before coming to Bali; there's a lot of dogs here! My wife and I are sorta afraid of dogs so was a little adjustment for us. Although Jamie and Wendy did a great job of accommodating us despite that! Overall an amazing trip.

Jamie and Wendy's beach house is a dream come true. Not only is the house beautiful and in a secluded location (you practically have the beach to yourself), but their staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone was friendly and kind, and treated our kids like they were part of the family. The meals were delicious! Made with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. We hope to be back very soon.

It was amazing

Try to think of the perfect place for a beach vacation far away from all the tourist crowds. You just found it. The beach house combines a modern western style with traditional Balian elements. Not lacking a single thing you might need. In addition to that you will receive some great service by a polite and friendly group of house maids. On top of that every morning a variety of homemade meals is available for breakfast and a delicious three course dinner is optional. We loved being so close to nature and sea, giving us a perfect time to relax. Whenever we get the chance, we will be back.

Wir verbrachten 10 wunderbare Tage im Beach House. Unsere Erwartungen waren aufgrund der vielen sehr guten Bewertungen hoch und wir wurden definitiv nicht enttäuscht. Das Haus liegt sehr idyllisch, eingebettet in einem wunderschönen Garten und nur einen Steinwurf vom Meer und einem meistens menschenleeren Strand entfernt. Wir fühlten uns irgendwie in eine andere Welt versetzt. Fasziniert lauschten wir der Meeresbrandung und den Geräuschen der hiesigen Tierwelt. Wir konnten definitiv abschalten und den Alltag vergessen. Ein idealer Spot um Zeit zu zweit zu geniessen. Das Haus ist sehr stylisch und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Der warme Pool ist wirklich grandios und auch das „open air“ Badezimmer fanden wir äusserst cool. Irgendwie passt im Haus alles perfekt zusammen. Viel Freude hatten wir auch am Teich mit den vielen Fischen die wir jeden Tag gefüttert haben :-). Das Haus ist von Jamie und Wendy perfekt betreut. Bei Fragen erhielten wir immer umgehend Antwort. Das immer frisch zubereitete und extrem leckere Frühstück wurde uns jeden Tag von Yeyen und Prima gebracht…einfach herrlich am Pool mit Blick auf das Meer zu frühstücken. Das Personal, inkl. den Fahrern, ist immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt. Sehr empfehlenswert sind auch die Massagen im Haus und die Abendessen die man sich ins Haus liefern lassen kann. Uns hat alles bestens gefallen und wir können das Beach House wärmsten empfehlen.

Thank you for the best honeymoon experience we could have imagined. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and everything was SO thought out and the space and location were out of a dream. Thank you for making our honeymoon come to life. Jaime and Wendy were incredibly easy to get a hold of, responding promptly to everything we needed or could have asked for. From beginning to end, including in-house massages and delicious meals brought to the beach house, this was the perfect experience.

We had a perfect week at the beach house. First of all the pick up from the airport worked super easy even if it was late in the night. The staff and the driver are unbelievable friendly and helpful. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast with fresh fruits, juice and coffee, so tasty! The House was the Perfect place to start our trip to Bali. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff even asked to do our laundry. The house is directly near the ocean and has a big garden with palm trees and a lot of space to relax. If you like to surf or swim in big waves this is the perfect place for you. Jamie and Wendy are friendly and helpful as well, thank you for making our stay so great! We can absolutely recommend this accommodation.

저희는 신혼여행으로 이 숙소를 방문했습니다. 매우 한적한 동네에 위치해 있으며, 단둘이 숙소에 짱박히기 좋습니다. 편의 시설이나 상가는 걸어갈 수 있는 거리에는 1곳도 없다고 보시면 됩니다. 전속 운전사가 있는데, 한국돈 5000원 정도 지불하시면 (왕복) 근처 괜찮은 레스토랑에 갈 수 있습니다. 숙소 안에서 아침, 점심, 저녁, 마사지까지 다 해결 가능합니다. 일하시는 분들이 많아 독채지만 호텔처럼 서비스가 좋습니다. 바다는 검은 모래 해변입니다. 파도가 엄청 높아서 해수욕은 무리이고, 해변산책하기에는 좋습니다. 사람 구경하기 힘든 한적한 동네입니다. 숙소 수영장의 컨디션이 좋습니다. 썬베드에 누워 미니바의 맥주를 마시고 있으면 천국이 따로 없습니다. 요청하면 매일 수영장 청소도 해주십니다. 쇼핑, 관광을 원하시는 분들과는 맞지 않습니다. 숙소에만 틀어박히고 싶은 분들께 강추합니다. 저희는 멘장안 투어 다녀왔는데 한국돈 26만원 정도 들었고 제가 다녀본 스노클링 포인트 중에 감히 최고였다고 말할 수 있습니다. 호스트인 웬디는 엄청 친절하며 마사지, 투어, 식사 예약을 대행해 줍니다. 편의 시설이 먼 점은 아쉬웠지만 그 외에는 너무나도♥♥ 만족한 숙소였습니다. 이 가격에 풀빌라 사실 꿀이죠♬ ★아, 그리고 이 숙소는 자연친화적입니다. 침대옆 커튼은 모기장이니까 꼭 치고 주무세요.

We stayed at the beach house for our honeymoon and after a very hectic few weeks prior to our stay we both needed some time to unwind. The beach house was perfect for this. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves and you could never get sick of the ocean view. Jamie and his staff were excellent. We couldn't rate them highly​ enough. The breakfast in the morning is amazing and we highly recommend ordering in dinner. Agus thier chef does amazing job! Make sure your save space for the food as there's a good amount and is truly is worth it! Thanks so much for making our stay so relaxed. We'll definitely be coming back!

Ours stay at the Beach House was definitely a highlight of our trip to Bali. The house is gorgeous. Spacious and open and you can lie in bed and listen to the birds and the sound of the ocean. It is immaculately clean and tidy and every element of your stay has been thought through to make sure you have a relaxing and comfortable time. We had our two daughters aged 11 and 9 with us and we had lovely walks along the beach watching the surfers and playing in the waves, sometimes we had the whole beach to ourselves. We had a delicious dinner at the villa at sunset on one of the evenings which we would recommend and also lovely massages. We also joined Jamie and Wendy at the beach bar on one of the evenings for a delicious suckling pig feast. They have a passion for home grown so fresh duck eggs, home made muesli and yoghurt, fresh bread are all on the menu for breakfast each morning, along with a colourful selection of fresh fruit! On the last morning our girls helped to collect the eggs and enjoyed meeting the pigs and goats! We spent all of our time at the villa enjoying the peaceful surroundings and relaxing as the rest of our trip has been quite hectic, it was just the perfect place to do this. There are however lots of trips that you can do from the villa if you want to explore further. We plan to come back to Bali in the future and a trip back to this village would definitely be part of our plans. Thanks so much Jamie and Wendy!

We have just spent a long weekend at the Balian Beach house. The photos don't do it justice. It's not often the real Place beats the photos but this place does. Delicious enormous breakfast; pancakes for the boys and the fresh duck eggs were enjoyed by all. Jamie was a kind thoughtful host making sure we all had all we needed but our privacy at the same time. Massage were excellent and very good value. Pickup and drop off from airport worked smoothly. Wonderful meal arranged by Jamie and his staff. Fish and prawns plus a surprise chocolate cake for our son's birthday. So thoughtful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Will be back!

The Beach House goes way beyond our expectations and the already beautiful photos don't do justice. We arrived very late at night, picked up by the wonderful driver Wayan who accompanied us every day of our trip. In the morning, we woke up to the rolling waves and beautiful black sand beach. It may not look like much but as you step onto the beach, it's so glittery and soft. You have to cross a tiny river to get to the beach so it's like a little adventure! Everyday the girls will carry different fruits and juices for breakfast and it was just a delight. So delicious and we could never finish it because the portions were so generous. We spent our entire stay in Bali at the Beach House and followed the itinerary suggested by Jamie and Wendy. The first day we just relaxed in the house and walked about the surrounding area, played with the local dogs and enjoyed the fantastic infinity pool. The second day we went to the nearby villages, saw rice paddies and visited the waterfall. It was an easy 15 minute "hike" through cocoa and coffee plantations and we took so many wonderful photos at the waterfall. In the afternoon we went to the Tanah Lot temple, it is raining and filled with tourists. For dinner our driver took us to local night market near the beach house and we had really delicious satay (with soup and rice), fried chicken and some sort of local Balinese cake assortment and only cost 60,000rp in total. Regret not taking some more food back for midnight snack. Third day we went snorkeling in the Menjangan Islands and my husband was completely hooked, he keeps saying to me that he wants to go back again. We had the boat to ourselves and Nasi Goreng for lunch in a takeaway box :P. On the last day our driver sent us to the Potato Head to chill and we went to get dinner in Jimbaran before our flight. (You can tell we are really lazy travelers.) Forgot to mention: Must try in-house massage! Must get one dinner in the Beach House!

I stayed with my wife and son 6 days at the Beach House (March 2017) before we headed to Lovina. Our vavation was nothing short of perfect. I second all previous comments from other guests. As a matter of fact, we booked with Jamie and Wendy for our July Vacation. I highly recommend the Beach House for couples or small families seeking unforgettable memories in Paradise.

I found The Balian Beach House by chance on line. If you are reading my review and choose as I did, it will be the best choice by far! Wendy and Jamie are a lovely young couple who spare no detail in ensuring an unforgettable stay in nothing short of Paradise. They employ a lovely staff who attend to all your needs. French press coffee, exotic fruits and duck eggs --included! In addition to a breakfast menu, there is an extensive dinner menu of local dishes should you choose to dine in-house at least once during your stay. Their car/driver are a 'must-do' because of location for airport pickup and drop off as well as day-trips to Ubud, etc. A very affordable amenity. Parting words: Do not forget to have a hot stone massage.

We had never seen anything reviewed so favorably online before as this house and even then it exceeded our expectations. Jamie and Wendy made everything so easy and everyone involved was so incredibly friendly that we will be back again for sure. Balian is far removed from the nightlife and the bustle of the city so if that's your thing, you should look elsewhere. If you are looking to relax, and explore the less-populated areas of the island, look no further. Seriously, if this house is available, just book it already.

We had an amazing time at Balian Beach- the house and location are BEAUTIFUL and Jamie and Wendy are gracious hosts that go out of the way to make sure that you are having a great experience. It is pretty secluded and away from the action, but that is part of its charm. We did a couple day trips from Balian Beach, which were easy to schedule and did not feel out of the way. Also, the meals that we had in the house were some of the best meals that we had all week. We spent half of the week here at Balian Beach and half of the week in Ubud. We generally like a lot of activities, so we are glad that we split our time with Ubud, but the accommodations and scenery made us glad that we spent more time here in Balian Beach. It will definitely be a little secluded if you are looking to pack your day with activities, but you can't find a better choice if you are comfortable with some good old fashioned R&R. Thanks again to Jamie and Wendy for a great trip!

We had the best time ever on bali . Thanks to jamie and wendy and their fantastic staff we had an overhelming experienced ... not to mention the self-made bread, jogurt, marmelade, pancakes, cerials and eggs every morning but also the fantastic dinner they offered ... beside the fact that the view is stunning. Be aware that it is very quite and there are a view restaurants close by for which you need a driver or a moto ... but jamie and wendy can organize everything.. the maids are so friendly, they even provide inhouse massage and go shoppping on the market in case you need anything. They were also so friendly to our baby ... thank you so much we will come again

We could not have asked for more of our Christmas and New Year stay, the perfect villa in the perfect location. Jamie and Wendy were fantastic hosts and happy to help organise anything we wanted to do. The villa itself is beautiful and we found ourselves happy just enjoying morning walks on the beach and lazy days by the pool. The staff were all so friendly and truly made our stay that little bit more special, breakfast everyday was incredible and we would certainly recommend having dinner sat watching the sunset from the villa at least once.

What an amazing way to finish off our holiday in Bali, Jamie and Wendy's Beach House are what dreams are made of and totally exceeded our expectations. The pictures are spot on and even better as you walk in for the first time. From the walk through the huge manicured gardens, to the outside bath and fish ponds running around the villa, this place is an amazing place to completely unwind and relax. The large pool is a few feet from the beach was always pleasantly warm, the villa itself is vast and well decorated and the breakfast brought in every morning was enjoyed by the pool watching the surfers make short work of the waves. A short walk away along the beach is a little cafe run by the local village and the food there was extremely good, both in value and quality. There are plenty of little hidden caves and beaches that you can enjoy all to yourself and the dinner you can have at sunset was delicious. All in all, this Villa cannot be faulted in any way and we'll definitely be staying here the next time my girlfriend and I are back in Bali. 10/10, thanks!

Heaven at Balian Beach! We arrived at the beach house after a long flight from Europe and were met by one of the hosts, Jamie. He showed us around the house, which is just amazing, and everything exceeded our expectations by far, he even invited us to a Babi Guling dinner at the beach the same evening, fantastic! Breakfast is cooked to order daily, fresh fruits, fresh juices, home produced yoghurts, home made granola, everything is just perfect. You can also get dinner served in the evening, there is a menu which you can order from, these meals were also very good, and highly recommended if you want to relax in the house and not go out. The Balian area is very quiet, so this is not the place for you if you wanna party, have a huge selection of restaurants etc. The Balian area and the beach house in specific is the PERFECT place for you if you just want to relax, read books, surf, plunge in the beautiful pool, do yoga, run on the beach etc. Both hosts Jamie and Wendy were really helpful and friendly, helped us out with everything we needed, so 10 points to both of them, and last but not least, 10 points to the beach house, hopefully we will meet again.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful time during our first trip to Bali. We chose to stay at the Beach House for the entire length of our trip (10 nights) and couldn't be happier with our experience. Our driver, Wayan, who picked us up at the airport, turned out to be our private tour guide. On our "on" days we went to different places around the island and he treated us to secluded waterfalls, history about Bali, and so much more. On our "off" days we enjoyed the privacy of our beach house and the option to have massage/spa treatments in house. I'll save the best for last: the food !! We loved our meals and the staff that provided them. We were super excited for the fresh fruit and coffee (followed by breakfast) in the morning and spent the day looking forward to our home cooked meals in the evening. We had the sweet and sour chicken twice, it was so good. My fiancé is still raving about the coconut fried rice. Jamie and Wendy were wonderful hosts and made our trip so special.

Best Airbnb and best beach house of all time. Perfect spot for relaxation, great food, wonderful massage, a little yoga, big surf, chill atmosphere. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon (we are Americans in our late 20s). We do a lot of research into places we stay, and we have had some amazing airbnbs, hotels, and homes in our life. This is the coolest place we have ever stayed. The value is unreal: you get a huge amount of space, unbelievable location, and access to great food and massage provided by a super friendly staff for a tiny, tiny fraction of what it would cost in a major US or European city. It is also perfectly safe. Jamie, Wendy, and the Balinese staff are very friendly and welcoming. Do note that if you are interested in a college spring break-type party spot, this is not the place you are looking for - this is a small, chill beach and surf spot. Come here to relax, enjoy Bali, eat extremely well, and maybe do a little yoga at the very cool studio down the beach and across the river (swim the river, it's safe and easy). I truly hope we make it back here someday.

Absolutely incredible - if anything the photos don't quite do it justice - it's so beautiful! It was our first stop on honeymoon and really was perfect. So private, quiet and luxurious. Also I have to say all the food was amazing - the breakfasts are 5 star (all ingredients from their mini farm!) but also the supper service they offer as an extra is well worth it - some of the best food we had all trip! Wendy and Jamie are great hosts - they just leave you to it but are just a phone call away for any questions or to help book excursions etc. They have a really great life there with their own farm and also a lovely team - so polite and perfect service. They organised a massage for us both too - incredible to have the sound of the sea for an extra relaxing experience! Great location for a secluded getaway - you can walk down the beach for a simple bali lunch at the local beach cafe and then have dinner at the house and barely talk to anyone! Or you can go into the village and have dinner and drinks for a slightly livelier night - but it is definitely somewhere to relax and recharge. We would thoroughly recommend, and will definitely be back!

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived , Wendy greeted us with a warm smile, asked us how we were doing , helped us with our luggage and gave us a genuine feeling of being happy that we had arrived. Jamie , Wendy and their staff hold themselves to a high standard and it really shows as you make your way down the Beach House Villa as the grounds are well taken care of and landscaped perfectly . The beach house it self is awesome with a view of the ocean , waves crashing down a stones throw away , I would stare at them hypnotically on several occasions while soaking in that sweet ass Infiniti pool , I was also impressed with the over all lay out and attention to detail of the Villa this was a topic of conversation on several occasions as we dined on the best food we have had since our visit to Bali , the duck egg omelette was my personal favorite ( best omelette I've ever had) and the eggs came from there own ducks on the property which is really cool . As far as the neighbourhood , I can't really comment too much as we only left the Villa to take walks along the beach , but Wendy had informed us of local restraunts near by but the food prepared by their staff was so good we really had no desire to go anywhere , we picked up a box of groceries before our arrival and had no problem preparing our own lunches as the Villa has a full on Kitchen with everything you need , allowing us more time to just hang out at the private little oasis they have created . I could drone on and on in detail of everything else that made this the highlight of our trip , but I'll just simply say that there are few times when you travel abroad that you get more than what you pay for but we found it here . This place is good for the soul and if you have an opportunity to book this accommodation you should take it . Possibilité de manger sur place (repas succulents), de se faire masser.. Les propriétaires organisent même des excursions pour vous. Séjour inoubliable. Je recommande les yeux fermés.

We (a family of four) have spent six days at the beach house. The house and its location are amazing. Balian beach is beautiful and in front of the house the beach is practically yours alone. During the first days of our stay there was a lot of wind and rain (quite unusual for August) which made it a bit harder to reach the part of the beach where most people and most restaurants are because a river splits both sides of the beach. With high water the river is hard to cross, yet you can easily organize a driver to get you there. Also, there is one small and very pleasant restaurant at the side of the beach where the house is located. The surroundings of the house other than the beach, are great: Beautiful rice paddies are only a 10 minutes walk away. The house itself is just amazing, with the view on both the pool and the beach. The garden at the right side of the house is huge and beautiful. Jamie and Wendy have been great hosts. One day before our flight back one of our daughters got sick (Bali belly). Jamie and Wendy let us stay longer and let use their medical supplies. Without their help we would not have been able to catch our flight, and we are still thankful for that. Also without such a situation there are pleasant, easygoing and very helpful hosts.

Wir waren am Ende unseres Bali-Urlaubes für knapp 5 Tage im Beach House von Jamie und Wendy und es war echt toll dort. Nach unseren ersten Stops in Ubud, Sanur und den Gilis ist Tabanan ein Ort fernab des großen Tourismustroubles an dem man seine Ruhe findet. Ein Roller oder Taxi sollte hier definitiv genutzt werden um etwas von der Umgebung mitzubekommen bzw. um evtl. auch nur auswärts etwas essen zu gehen. Was das Haus und den Pool betrifft so ist dieses genau wie auf den Bildern schon gezeigt, echt Klasse! Hinzu kommt dann auch noch der super Service von Jamie und Wendy die immer erreichbar waren wenn man sie brauchte und nicht zu vergessen deren Personal, das uns täglich ein tolles abwechslungsreiches Frühstück auftischte und anschließend sauber machte und wenn gewünscht sogar die Wäsche wusch und immer super freundlich und nett waren. Alles in allem können wir diese Location gut und gerne weiterempfehlen!

The Beach house is on an incredible piece of property and served by a great staff. The pool is large and just 4 steps from the beach. A great place to relax and get away from some of the more chaotic parts of the island. Jamie and Wendy have built a beautiful house here combining traditional Indonesian architecture and modern conveniences.

The place was beautiful and looked exactly as is it did in the pictures. Although you are far from the main attractions it was easy to arrange for a half or full day out. The location was quiet and peaceful with a great view. We did not get to meet Wendy, but Jamie was awesome and helped arrange activities and cars. Ayu and Yehyen were amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable. You should opt to eat at least one dinner in, as the food was SO good!

The beach house was the absolute highlight of our honeymoon! I can't say enough good things - it was a 5 star experience from start to finish, we wish we'd stayed for longer! The meals Yeyen and the staff made for us for breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, and the views from the pool and beach were to die for. The house is lovely (even better than the pics!) and Jamie and Wendy made sure everything was easy - all the amenities were great and both drivers we used were wonderful (on our way to our next spot in the north our driver took us to a secret waterfall that was unbelievable!) Highly recommend ordering massages at the house on the bale overlooking the ocean- they were so great and cheap we had them both days we stayed at the house! Also the surf club a short walk down the beach has fantastic Indonesian food, one of the best we had on our trip.

The place, the staff, Jamie & Wendy...it was all perfect! Everyone was so warm and welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. There was enough privacy, but always help when needed. Jamie, Wendy, and the staff were all SO helpful in giving us tips- whether it was where to eat or what site to see (away from all of the tourists)! The massages, food, and friendly faces were INCREDIBLE. Not to mention the house was even better than the pictures. They were not lying when they said this was a taste of the "true Bali." We would love to come back again in the future!

Our recent stay at the Beach House was fantastic. We have spent collectively about 4 months holidaying in Indonesia over the past 6 years and this villa is easily one of our favourite places that we have stayed during this time. Both my wife and I arrived at the villa feeling pretty sick with a stomach bug (picked up prior to our stay), the staff were really helpful over the following days going out of their way to prepare us "comfort foods" & only charged us just a token amount for preparing this food. The villa staff were fantastic, great English, really easy to get along with & the way they run the housekeeping service means that you always feel like you have privacy. The staff genuinely seemed to want guests to really enjoy their stay, the driver associated with the villa was also really good. I would say that our stay really benefited by also having the owners nearby, Wendy checked us in and you can tell that they keep a close eye on the up-keep of the property and the guest experience. Finally the location was great, unlike a lot of other villas in Bali, the Beach House is located on a beach that is actually nice to walk along. There is a basic restaurant about 5 minutes walk along the beach and several more restaurants about 10 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We travel the world and this trip to Bali was by far one of the best vacations we have ever taken, specifically due to the wonderful stay at Jamie and Wendy's beach house. From the moment we arrived, it was welcoming and exotic. The staff they have on hand for meals, cleaning and cooking were absolutely amazing. They were friendly and genuine, making every effort to make the stay as personalized as possible. We had massages every day! The beach house itself was beautiful, we watched the beach waves during every meal and were just a few steps away from the black sand beach. The amenities were comfortable and very well maintained. The privacy of the beach house was unreal, its absolutely ideal for a honeymoon. We are looking for another opportunity to come stay again soon!

Spending our honeymoon at the beach house with Jamie & Wendy was our first Airbnb experience and it could not have been more perfect. Everything was just as we expected it to be from the pictures. What we weren't expecting was to be so well taken care of and welcomed by not only Jamie & Wendy but their entire staff. All our transportation was arranged for us and we were pampered at the house with massages and delicious, locally inspired meals. Ayu and Yeyen were the two girls who primarily took care of us and they couldn't have been any more pleasant and accommodating. Everyone made us feel like we were part of the family and at home. We also had plenty of privacy when we wanted it to enjoy the incredibly beautiful location. We flew from the USA to stay there and it was worth every hour of travel. The view from the house is incredibly scenic and perfectly enjoyed from the pool. We can't wait to return one day, thanks Jamie & Wendy!

When my (now!) husband and I were planning out our wedding, one of the very first things we decided on was our honeymoon. We fell in love with the pictures of the Balian House over 9 months before we actually went...and in person it was even better than we had ever imagined! The house is gorgeous, the views are phenomenal and every single person you interact with is wonderful. Jaime and Wendy made every step of the process easy and relaxing and I don't think we could have picked a better place to spend our first two weeks as a newly married couple.

Wir waren insgesamt 8 nächte im beach house und es hat alles übertroffen. Es war alles mehr als perfekt... Angefangen vom flughafen transfer, wir sind um ca. 12 uhr abends im beach house angekommen.... Alles war beleuchtet, der erste wow effekt! Das erste Frühstück war traumhaft, super lecker und mit Liebe zubereitet. Ich würde auf jeden fall mindestens einmal ein dinner nehmen, eines der besten die wir jemals hatten. Nicht unweit entfernt befinden sich ein paar warungs, entweder dem fahrer schnell eine sms schicken oder mit dem scooter hinfahren. Es war so angenehm ruhig und man kann komplett abschalten und die Seele baumeln lassen. Wir waren definitiv nicht das letzte mal bei jamie und wendy zu gast

We stayed 6 nights in the Beach House and couldn't have asked for anything more. The maids Ayu and Yaya were really friendly and we really enjoyed their home cooked breakfasts and dinners we had at the house. We also really appreciated Wendy and Jamie's local knowledge of Bali and were more than happy to organize some great day trips to Ubud and Menjangan. Highly recommended this place for any keen surfers or those seeking a relaxing break from the crowds.

It's hard to say something truly is paradise, but I think this wins. Other reviewers have said the pictures don't do this place justice, and I didn't believe them (come on the pics are amazing--how can anything be that good in real life?) I was wrong. Everything about this place is magical -- the view of the ocean, the incredible infinity pool, watching the sunset set across the Bali Sea. Plus, the location's quite nice as well -- extremely quiet, but with a good selection of restaurants a 15 minute (or so) walk away. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention the services provided. Jamie and Wendy arrange for daily breakfasts, which are simply heavenly (seriously, if they don't have those eggs in Heaven, I'm going to be disappointed.) Massages and private meals can be easily arranged on site, and Jamie and Wendy make themselves incredibly available for any last-minute requests.

Jamie and Wendy are amazing hosts. The villa is so spacious and the best is the bedroom and the livingroom are connected by the koi pond. It is a great place for relaxing and doing nothing except listening the sounds of the ocean and enjoying the sunset. It is a perfect for a relaxing and romantic holiday. We look forward to returning.

What an absolutely fantastic place and people! Can't praise the staff enough, the girls and Wyan, our driver, were just so helpful and friendly and lovely. The villa is just beautiful and I just loved that we were so near the ocean that all I could hear when having a massage was the pounding of the sea! So relaxing. We had such a nice stay at the beach house with our two small kids! After travelling for some weeks it was lovely to arrive to this cosy and quiet place where we got pampered by both the wonderful staff and the hosts. The house itself is spacious and beautiful and the location close to the beach was perfect, we loved the morning walks on the beach! We ordered dinner at the house several times and it was always very delicious! The possibility to have meals in the house was surely one of the big advantages with staying here. We can definitely recommend having a relaxing time at the beach house with it's beautiful surroundings!

Jamie and Wendy were amazing hosts, as were the gals that work on the property. The villa itself was very well done, both stylistically and functionally. It provided the perfect balance of rustic beach villa and luxury. It was very comfortable and spacious. I really appreciated the additional amenities and services they provided like beer in the fridge, daily breakfast, and the option for in-house massages and dinner. The dinner I had in the villa one night, was one of the best of my stay in Bali. It was also very helpful that they were able to coordinate transportation to and from the villa. I had the beach more or less to myself every time I went out. If you want a peaceful place to relax by the ocean, I can't recommend this place higher.

Amazing house and location. Clean and tidy. Jamie and Wendy are very friendly and nice, and So is the staff who works there. Hot stone massage is given whenever you prefer on a proper massage bed in the villa at a very reasonable price. Very nice massage!! Food served by the staff is very nice. We also did plenty cooking ourselves as the kitchen has everything you need. My girlfriend and me stayed 6 nights, and we enjoyed it so much we didn't leave the house, exept for beach walks and a couple of shopping trips for groceries. Perfect for a relaxing and romantic holliday! Thanks for having us Wendy and Jamie!

We came to Balian for our "babymoon" and just had the most relaxing and perfect time. From the moment we arrived we felt so warmly greeted and stepping into the villa was breathtaking. The villa is even better in person than the pictures! The staff are so incredibly friendly and really made our stay. They kept the villa spotless and the daily breakfast was amazing. We had a couple of sunset dinners at the villa and the food was fantastic. Jamie and Wendy were also wonderful, we enjoyed catching up with them throughout the stay on the beach and they also organised drivers for us and were always willing to help. Both of our drivers were friendly, informative and we enjoyed our day tour. If you want a relaxing holiday right on the beach away from the hussle and bussle of the popular tourist areas, then this is the perfect place. We can't wait to go back!

Jamie and Wendy were exceptional hosts. Travelers themselves, they have thought of every detail a traveler would desire. Their exceptional staff: Yayan, Ayu, Agus and Putu made us delicious dinners and breakfasts and kept our place sparkling clean. We really enjoyed spending four nights here after being on a cruise for 14 days. We stayed at the Beach House a beautiful home in traditional Bali style. Beauty and nature surrounded us. I must say this place exceeded expectations. I don't want to give away the little secrets so will not say anymore except that you won't be disappointed!!

We found the description probably underestimated what an amazing place to stay this is, well worth the journey in nice cool car, that was organised for us, with wayan a great driver who we used during our stay. We probably didn't need to call at a supermarket on the way as wine and mixers ect already in fridge & reasonable costs. Local community restaurant on the beach is brilliant, but the meals the girls cooked for us at the beach house in the evenings were amazing as was the breakfast they made and the massage we had. Jamie and Wendy are fantastic hosts they really went above and beyond for us and were amazing. What Jamie and Wendy have built is real testimony to resourcefulness, creativity, amazing design/detail and hard work, we felt so privilidge to have stayed there and would love to return.

The place is amazing and Jamie and Wendy were great. Everything worked well, was new and clean. Breakfasts were memorable, with their own eggs and homemade yogurt. The place is a dream, and they are very gracious. We felt very lucky to have stayed with them.

Jamie and Wendy were incredible hosts! They made sure we had everything we needed and arranged a driver whenever we needed one. The beach house itself is AMAZING. Hands down one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed in. Breakfast was delivered every morning and it was delicious. Between the pool and the ocean right next to it we were set for our five day stay. We're ready to move in! Cannot begin to express what a wonderful time we had at the beach villa. I was especially grateful for the lovely ladies who managed to cook vegan gluten free dinners for me every night and pancakes in the morning! Wendy and Jamie were both incredibly hospitable and we wished we lived next door so we could be neighbors :) The villa itself is breathtaking, koi ponds and an outdoor shower give an authentic Balinese feel to the place and the pool and gazebo overlooking the beach were perfect for the afternoons when we weren't walking the beach. We were joined nightly by geckos, crickets, frogs, and even a bird so if bugs bother you their other location the Seabreaze might be a bit less "in the elements." There's a community run cafe on the beach just a 3 minute walk away and all proceeds go back to the local village. This is a perfect place to totally unplug and relax. It takes a quite a while to drive anywhere so I recommend just relaxing at the villa instead of spending your days in traffic (there's a lot of traffic that goes between Java and Denpasar so driving is very slow). Wendy will arrange a private driver for you. And daily hit stone massages from Ayu was divine!

Absolutely best AirBnB space ever used. Almost reluctant to say so to avoid this place never being available again. Space was all is said to be (large, private, charming, etc.). Jamie and Wendy was super responsive and made the experience simply fantastic. We need to find a way to all live like this. Balian Beach was a great starting point to see the island but despite the smallness of the island, it can take a while to get around the island with traffic (recommend staying the house/area as much as you can). And the whole town knows Jamie and Wendy.

Jamie and Wendy's home truly is paradise! It's even larger and more beautiful than in the photos, located right on the beach in a quiet part of the island. The hosts provide everything you could need for a heavenly stay, including hot and cold filtered water, a real refrigerator and freezer with ice cubes - hard to come by in Indonesia! Jamie and Wendy were welcoming and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Their staff is amazing! Sweet ladies who bring an amazing breakfast each morning (fresh duck eggs laid right there on premises!). We opted to have them bring us dinner every night, too, and it was the best food we ate in 3-1/2 weeks of travel, no exaggeration. If I'm lucky enough to return to Bali, this is where'll I'll be.

We absolutely loved our time at The Beach House! Jamie and Wendy were attentive to all our needs, the house was imaculate, staff were so friendly, food was outstanding, location unbelievable and the whole experience was just amazing . We had the best honeymoon! THANKYOU Jamie and Wendy .

Wow! We spent a week in Balian in November 2015 and had the opportunity to stay at both The Beach House (4 nights) and The Sea Breeze (3 nights). Both were absolutely perfect and exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable . Honestly, the description doesn't really do it justice ... the house is amazing! Jamie and Wendy are incredibly nice people and the most gracious and helpful hosts. They made us feel so welcome, like we were visiting old friends, but also afforded us the utmost privacy (a rare combination). We spent our first 4 nights at The Beach House, which can only be described as "perfect". The infinity pool is literally steps to the beach and the entire house is immaculate and equipped with everything you could ask for (and more). The layout of the house is open, spacious, and very comfortable. The infinity pool is absolutely amazing and the temperature is naturally perfect all day long. We spent most of our time outdoors, swimming, lounging by the pool, and watching the surf. The staff (Ayu & Yeyen) were the sweetest women and treated us like family. All of the services (breakfasts, cleaning, laundry, massages, etc.) were amazing. The Beach House was the highlight of our entire trip and we would have booked more nights if we could have! We were sad to leave The Beach House but were so happy when we arrived at The Sea Breeze and were greeted by the most incredible view of the ocean and surf breaks below. The house sits atop a cliff and there's nothing to obstruct the ocean view except a few coconut trees. Like The Beach House, The Sea Breeze came with everything we could have needed (and more). It was wonderful to wake up each morning to the sound of the pounding surf below. There's a perfect right hander right out front and it was fun to watch the surfing action from high on the cliff. Each day we made the short (5min) walk down the hill and up the beach to explore Balian and sample the various restaurants. Our week in Balian was truly the highlight of our trip and we couldn't have been happier with both The Beach House and The Sea Breeze. Thanks again Jamie and Wendy for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We'll be back one day!!

Our stay at the Beach House was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in the door it was breath taking. The cleanliness, attention to detail, the view of the beach and ocean. Everything was exactly as it was described in the listing and Jamie and Wendy are really great and nice people. The other staff and drivers they had arranged for us were all amazing as well. The maids were always so sweet and pleasant... Very quick to go out of the way make you feel comfortable and happy! As first timers to Bali this was perfect and Jamie and Wendy were more than happy to setup drivers, make suggestions for activities and food. Wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for making our trip so memorable. For anyone looking to relax and enjoy an authentic non-hotel like experience this is the place to be. Great hosts, great villa, great trip. We will certainly be back if we make our way back to Bali in the future.

We had our last part of our honeymoon here. Its like a dream being here, with the oceanfront view/access, amazing food, very secluded area, and large place for yourselves. Jamie and wendy are super nice and they will arrange whatever you need during your stay. I would def recommend anyone who is considering staying here!! We had an awesome time.

We stayed at the Balian Beach house in October and had a wonderful experience. The beach house itself is a little heaven on earth and it doesn't lack anything from a beautiful pool, sun loungers, TV, outdoor speakers and even a phone with a variety of different play lists (very good taste!). The house is right on the beach and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets and endless walks on the beach. A small village with restaurants is about a 15 mins walk along the beach which is definitely worth exploring. However we highly recommend having dinner in the Villa at least once as the food Ayo, one of the lovely maids, prepares is amazing (we had prawn curry which was the best food we had during our whole trip). Jaime and Wendy were great hosts and helped us to organise trips and even gave us some cash when we had problems with our bank cards which we then paid back at check out. All in all an amazing and private place where we definitely want to return to one day.

If a heaven does exist, it's at the Beach House on Balian Beach. This home is a little slice of perfection. The open air, sound of crashing waves, nighttime sounds, private pool, comfortable and spacious daybed, incredible breakfasts (seriously our favorite in all of Bali!) and in-home spa offerings made the first four days of our honeymoon pure PERFECTION. Jamie and Wendy were super accommodating and friendly to interact with. They even invited us to sunset drinks! We can't rave enough about this home enough. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the home (side note; take advantage of the bathtub at night!). If you're looking for R&R in a beautiful, relaxed and spacious setting, this place is the home for you!

Aufgrund einer Dachreparatur haben wir den Urlaub nicht im Beach House verbracht, sondern im Sea Breeze, dem anderen Haus von Jamie & Wendy. Das Haus ist wundervoll gelegen, auf einem kleinen Hügel mit direktem Blick auf das Meer. Wir haben die leichte Meeresbrise und das Meeresrauschen sehr genossen. Leider war das Meer nicht so gut zum Schwimmen geeignet, aufgrund der hohen Wellen und der Ströumung. Für Surfer aber ideal. Wegen des hauseigenen Pools war das aber kein Problem für uns. Das Haus liegt recht abgelegen, die nächsten Shops sind ca. 1,5 Km entfernt. Das Frühstück und das Essen, frisch zubereitet von Ayu & Putu war einfach traumhaft. Die beiden sind super lieb und immer freundlich gewesen. Hier fühlt man sich noch als echten Gast, der willkommen ist!!! :-) Wir haben uns einige Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe angeschaut, zu denen uns der Fahrer Wayan immer zuverlässig gefahren hat. Wendy & Jamie haben uns bei der Kontaktaufnahme geholfen und bei sonstigen Fragen unterstützt. Wir haben wundervolle und entspannte Flitterwochen hier verbracht (15 Nächte). Nach einer anstregenden Feier genau das Richtige. An die vielen Tiere und fremden Geräusche musste man sich zunächt gewöhnen, vorallendingen in der Nacht. Nachher hat es sogar Spass gemacht, die kleinen süßen Geckos zu beobachten. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, wozu auch das Personal Ayu und Putu absolut beigetragen haben. Wer einen erholsamen, ruhigen Urlaub, abseits von Trubel und Verkehr sucht, ist hier goldrichtig!!! Vielen Dank für diesen wunderschönen Urlaub!

We had an incredible experience staying at The Beach House on our honeymoon! Jamie and Wendy did such an amazing time arranging our pickup and was extremely welcoming on our arrival. The villa is simply amazing. - seriously only steps from the beach, a large private pool and cabana, beautiful garden landscaping and wrap-around Koi fish pond :) The hosts provided us with a cell phone so easily reach them if we needed anything arranged as well as contacts to arrange for spa services in the villa - which I highly recommend. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and including fresh fruits, juice, and breads and other items that you can choose from. We opted for dinner to be provided in our villa most nights as well, which was also spectacular. Thanks to the hosts and their staff for making our last stop on our Bali honeymoon our most memorable!

We had a completely gorgeous time at Jamie and Wendy's little Balian Beach haven. The villa itself is beautiful in true Balinese style. We loved the privacy and rural sense of the place. The breakfasts were delicious and we had one of our best meals one evening cooked by the staff at the villa - prawn curry and green mango salad. We're beginner surfers so set off to find a surfing lesson and a good beach to learn on ( the swell outside the beach house was too much for us!) - great fun. Jamie and Wendy were wonderful hosts and invited us to look at their gorgeous farm animals - you'll have duck eggs for breakfast. It was everything we expected and more! Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Beach House for 14 days. Everything was exactly like Jamie and Wendy described it. The beautiful spacious garden and house and the highlight: the large, relaxing pool with complete privacy. Ayu and Yeyen, the two ladies who cared for us, also served us delicious, fresh cooked and changing meals the whole stay, which consisted of local and domestic farming products. Jamie and Wendy also offer alcohol in a fridge for the same price as in a local shop. Unfortunately our almost perfect stay was disturbed by noise coming from a construction site nearby. There were garbage fires burning the whole day with the smoke being blown in our direction and into the open build house. Really annoying was in our second week the noise from chain saws two days running. As this construction is just a temporary situation which unfortunately fell into our holiday we would definitely recommend staying at Jamies and Wendys. And thank you very much Ayu and Yeyen.

We loved this place, its is the best place to end your holiday on bali!

A truly memorable and far too short stay with Wendy and Jamie. Located further up the island from the more crowded tourist destinations in Bali the beach house is really special. The setting was beautiful and our hosts were attentive and invisible at the same time. Good idea was to provide us with a local Bali mobile phone with their phone numbers saved that we took with us in case we got lost or needed anything while we were out. Only drawback is be sure not to go or leave from this area at night - quite a traumatic driving at night despite our first class driver - the roads in Bali are simply too narrow and overtaxed.

The Beach House was an amazing experience for us. We can't fault anything. It is a such a beautiful and peaceful part of Bali. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - from the villa, to the hosts and helpers. We hope to return before too long.

The Beach House is like a dirty little secret that I really don't want to tell anyone about so we can keep it to ourselves.... Simply amazing experience. From the welcome, to the wonderful kindness and generosity of the team and hosts, to being able to eat a delicious home cooked meal with both hands AND with my husband because our girls were otherwise amused. We cannot wait to visit again.

The Beach House ist eine fantastische Villa am südwestlichen Strand von Bali. Wir haben unsere Bali Rundreise hier gestartet und es hätte wirklich nicht besser sein können. Grade nach einem anstregenden Flug kann man hier absolut genial entspannen und einfach nur die Seele baumeln lassen. Die Villa ist wirklich absolut genau wie auf den Fotos dargestellt - Direkt am Strand, Infinity Pool, wahnsinnig coole Dusche, große Badewanne, schönes Bett, AirPlay Lautsprecher und WiFi - alles in allem großartig! Wir wurden sowohl von Jamie als auch von Ayu und den anderen Mädchen großartig empfangen und bedient. Die Massagen waren traumhaft und das Essen einfach genial. Jamie hat mir direkt eine Surfstunde besorgt und auch sonst blieben keine Wünsche offen. Wir hätten uns keinen besseren Start in unsere Flitterwochen wünschen können und sprechen hiermit eine absolute Empfehlung aus!

Jamie made us feel very welcome and was really helpful throughout our stay. He and Wendy arranged a driver to collect us from Denpasar airport (who waited 2 hours due to volcano related delays!) and welcomed us with a tour of the beach house when we arrived, despite it being the middle of the night! The beach house was spectacular and a beautiful setting for our honeymoon. Traditional Indonesian carvings, en suite shower & bath, infinity pool, airplay speakers, WiFi ... and the most pleasant, polite and happy staff we've ever met! Ayu's massages were incredible, and the food for dinner and breakfast was delicious. The Balian Beach area was quiet and the house just a short romantic walk along the beach or road, with a few restaurants and bars. Jamie knew the island really well and helped us arrange some fantastic day trips. We'd highly recommend the national park and snorkeling in the north of the island - stunning! Bail itself was beautiful, felt safe and the people couldn't be more helpful!

This was our second visit. The house, the view, the pool, the beach, the food were once again fantastic. We were always made to feel welcome and well looked after by the girls. Their cooking, cleaning and massages could not have been better. An extremely relaxing holiday. We hope to return again.

We missed our flight and was a day late, arrived at 2 AM by KETUT (best driver ever). Wendy woke up to greet us and show us around the beach house. We stayed for about 5 days for our honeymoon. It was truly perfect. We barely left the Villa/pool. This place was exactly what we wanted for relaxing after our big wedding. The breakfast was amazing and my personal favorite part. Everyday we had a massage. The girls cooked dinner for us a few times and it was the best food we had in Bali. I contacted Wendy a few times for help with possibly scheduling a snorkel trip/ renting the scooter to go for food (we ended up just staying around the beach house for the obvious reasons (so relaxed). I am so appreciative for Wendy and Jamie for sharing a piece of their paradise and can't wait to get back again someday!

The beach house is absolutely amazing. The constant sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing. The attention to detail in the house is by far the best out of any place I have stayed in before. The service and attention that you get from Ayu and the other staff is like nothing I have experience before. She cooked us some of the best meals we had in Bali. Wendy was really easy to work with as well. She also has a really easy and straight forward system of paying and keeping track of the tab. Really a great start to our Bali trip.

There is a reason there are so many 5 star reviews of this wonderful place. Rather than repeat what everyone else has already said, I'll just focus on a few key points from my observation. The hosts are extremely helpful, allowing us to add two parties within a day's notice and arranging for transportation from Seminyak for us with a very professional driver. Upon arrival you'll be amazed at even the gardens and walk to the beach house, the fish pond you step across to the master bedroom, and the general open concept of the entire place. The breakfasts are included and laundry services are as well. They were extremely generous and flexible, for example they only charged us one day for scooters since we had the keys other days but decided not to go out... When we departed they booked three separate transportation vehicles for us as we were all leaving to different areas and different times. The place is pretty remote in terms of nice restaurants, and the hosts know this, so they offer the villa staff to prepare wonderful meals for a small fee if you would like. Comes out to about $11 USD per person and the meals are GREAT! They also offer reasonable fees if you wish to drink wine, beer, and sodas... Cheaper for me to drink the wine with their prices then even purchase at the local store! They would also restock anything you used, and let me pay via PayPal which was helpful. You'll love this place!

The Beach House was beyond our expectations! We stayed here for our first leg of our honeymoon and nothing else after compared to this place. The grounds are stunning and well maintained. The staff is so kind and professional. The meals you can order are exceptional home-style cooking. From the unique black sand beach , the quiet country setting, massages and array of activities you can explore from this location, this beach house was truly paradise for us. We also felt Jamie and Wendy were engaged in our stay to make sure we were taken care of. They have every detail thought of that will make your stay truly glorious. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We stayed 8 nights here for our honeymoon. This place is gorgeous. If you are looking for a private experience with luxury of beach at the door front and away from hustle/bustle look no further. Jamie and Wendy are perfect hosts and as the other reviewers say the place is prettier than the pictures. Ayu and Yayan very very sweet and friendly. They made our experience in Bali a wonderful one. Ayu's massages are not to be missed, we had massages every other day. Also, the food is fantastic, the "BEST" in Bali! We spent most of our days in the villa and exploring neibourhood. Meninjangan Island and Ubud was a nice day outs. The villa has definitely raised our bar of expectations from holiday homes!

Our time at The Beach House was wonderful and provided exactly what we were looking for in this trip. From organising the transport through to the daily meals Wendy and Jamie looked after us. We would definitely recommend the dinners in house as a part of your time there. The Beach House is beautiful, expansive and the setting is magical, with crashing waves and natures songs :) We will look forward to returning.

The Beach House at Balian was even better than described. The design of the house, the gardens, the koi pond, and the infinity pool overlooking the black sand beach really made us feel we were in the real Bali. Add to that the wonderful Ayu and Agus, the warmth of the owners when we arrived, and the food, and you have an unbeatable combination for peace and quiet.

We stayed at the beach house for the first week of our honeymoon, and it was a perfect experience. The house is beautiful and comfortable with everything we needed, and the views and sound of the ocean were breathtaking. It was spotlessly clean and the ladies who did the housekeeping were so lovely and cooked the most delicious breakfasts and dinners on request as well as giving excellent massages. Jamie and Wendy were great with communication before and during our stay. For a secluded stay in a beautiful location the beach house is perfect (while still having the opportunity for activities and day trips). We can't wait to go back some day!

We just had the pleasure of staying at The Beach House for 5 nights. Jamie and Wendy were great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Contact turn around was very quick and they organised our transport to and from the airport which went off without any hassles. The Beach House is like staying in your own paradise and we found very little need to leave the accommodation, instead relaxing in the peaceful surrounds. A big thank you also to their staff who prepared the delicious meals throughout our stay and looked after all of our requests. Thank you all, highly recommended.

We stayed here for a part of our honeymoon! Our stay exceeded our expectations in every way! Jamie and Wendy were amazing! The house is beautiful! Peaceful.. A little piece of paradise .. They arranged driver to pick us up from our hotel in Ubud.. We were welcomed with an amazing dinner. The food is the best we've had in Bali! Breakfast was delicious! They organized day trips for us.. Snorkel was beautiful, also horseback riding, we visited A temple. They also organized a yoga instructor to come to the house.. The maids Ayu and Agus are the sweetest persons ever! Their food is the best in bali and also Ayu does amazing massages! We totally recommend this place!

We really enjoyed staying at Jamie and Wendy's place! The location is really nice and the view magical specially for the sunset. The maids Agus and Ayou were so nice to us and with the kids, they loved here. I really recommend Agus's dinner and Ayou's massage. Breakfast are just perfect, all home made juices and pancakes! it was just delicious :) Jamie and Wendy helps us when we arrived to there place as we got problem with are credit cards and that was really nice from them. We had a wonderful stay at the beach house. Many thanks

We had a wonderful time with our two kids (5 months and 2 years old) at the Beach House. The location is stunning, right on a beach with black sand, inviting for early morning or evening strolls on the oceanside, bumping into fisherman and other people walking by. The living area of the house is huge and tastefully decorated (and well equipped for self-catering), which is especially nice during the hot afternoon hours. The pool is likewise inviting to cool down. The hosts and the two Maids (Ayu and Agus) are wonderful people. Don't skip the breakfast, which is so rich that you'll hardly need anything to eat until evening. Ayu and Agus are wonderful with kids, they love to take them on strolls, show them around or just play with them. No question that our kids loved to spend time with them. And Ayu is also a gifted masseuse! We highly recommend the Beach House for anyone not looking for evening entertainment, but a quiet authentic place in West Bali.

We stayed at the Balian Beach Villa for 9 nights in January and it was amazing. The beach is gorgeous – the black sand sparkles in the sunlight, and the waves are crashing all day long. There is barely anyone to be seen! It was relaxing and dreamy. Probably one of my favourite beaches in the world. The village that the villa is located in is small and secluded. The lot itself is super private, and very romantic. The food cooked by the staff is UNBELIEVABLE and they are super accommodating and kind! Jamie and Wendy were also great hosts, and took the time to chat with us about Bali and their experiences over the past years. We will be going back every year to this villa, cannot recommend it enough. BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for the amazing experience.

Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic stay at the beach house. The location is idyllic, and was really nice after stopping in Seminyak before to get into the sticks and take in more of a local culture. The beach house was everything we expected after drooling over the pictures and reading the reviews. Jamie and Wendy welcomed us in and showed us around before leaving us to soak it in, The staff were great and the breakfast's were on point. We got massages on our last day which ended the trip on a lovely note. We also rented a scooter for 2 days which was great fun and also good to see the surrounding area. We headed into the mountains, saw endless paddy fields and found the odd night market serving up local treats (including some of the best satay i've ever eaten). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely retreat in bali, if we return to bali, it will be on our list for sure.

The Beach House was the last stop on our honeymoon & a fantastic end to our trip! The house & surroundings were gorgeous & had everything we needed, Jamie & Wendy were great & we really enjoyed the trips they recommended & organised for us and Ayu and Agus the maids were lovely and cooked us some delicious meals & gave a really good massage! Would definitely recommend!

We had a perfect 5 days at the Beach House. Jamie and Wendy have built an amazing retreat. The house and property are flawlessly maintained by their dedicated staff. As other reviewers stated, Agus, Ayu and the rest of the staff are very special people. Not only do they provide amazing meals and service, but are kind, open, and generous. They were great with our two year old daughter, who was sorry to say good bye to them. The house and grounds are the gems here. You can feel the culture of the country in the home's architecture and carvings. The pool and deck are perfect for enjoying amazing Balinese sunsets. We did not spend much time at the beach due to debris washing up, but the pool and house kept us more than happy. My wife kept referring to our "retreat" as that is the sense a holiday here can give. Would we return to The Beach House again?... most definitely. Thanks again Jamie and Wendy.

This was by far the best holiday my husband and I have ever taken. The house was perfect in every way. We were so well taken care of and the dinners we had cooked for us were outstanding. I would not have changed one single thing. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the indoor/outdoor shower was like something from a dream. I cannot wait to return.

The beach house was a dream come true for us - just what we needed for our honeymoon! At the risk of repeating what everyone else has already said - prettier than the photos, great location, courteous staff... In fact, the villa was so perfect that we didn't step out during the entire week we were there (but for 1 half-day trip) - just wanted to take in all the space had to offer! Definitely need to come back soon!

What amazing place ! Could not ask more from jamie and wendy, they looked after our every need. This is one place everyone must visit. Situated literally just metres from the beach you can check the surf while you enjoy a freshly made coffee from the beautiful maids Ayu and Agus. I can not recommend this place highly enough. We had a wonderful time stayed at the beach house. The house itself is beyond our imagination. We can tell the hosts put their love and passion to build this house. If you like tuely Indonesia architectural house. Don't look further. This is it. The host Jamie and Wendy are very nice, one night the rain was really heavy, Jamie and Wendy would called us and make sure we are ok. Feel they care their guest like their own family. The house keeper Ayu and Augs prepared the most delicious dinner, after tried their homemade dinner, we don't even want to go out to the restaurant. Thanks to Jamie and Wendy to share their house with us.

If you're thinking about staying at the beach house don't hesitate! We stayed at the Beach House for six nights of our honeymoon and we absolutely loved our stay. The beach house is so comfortable and absolutely stunning, the open architecture (opens right to the stunning pool and beach) were beautiful and it so relaxing listening to the waves crash at night. Ayu and Agus were lovely, meals and massages so wonderful (and reasonably priced).- really we can't recommend dinner highly enough, just delicious every night! There's also a cute little cafe right on the beach a few minutes walk up the beach. Jamie and Wendy have an amazing, sustainable operation with a small farm, they compost and efficiently reuse water which I love, and we were so impressed at how ingrained in the local community they are. If you feel like you need to venture out, there's a cute village up the road and Jamie and Wendy are always available to set up day trips, exchange money, set up transportation and recommend restaurants. Probably the highlight of our stay with Jamie and Wendy (actually the highlight of out honeymoon) was the Menjangan island snorkling trip with Ari. If you have the chance it is a must! We just can't say enough about this wonderful oasis. From the laid back, private vibe and black sand beach, to the sweet local community. They also set up a very special birthday surprise for me, which was above and beyond and a lovely surprise ...we can't wait to return!

Everything was great for our stay. Most of the other comments cover everything, but we wanted to reiterate how awesome Jamie, Wendy, Ayu and Agus are. They set everything up for us and made our trip very relaxing. Hopefully we can return again!

The Beach House exceeded our expectations in every way. It is an amazing beachfront property that provides the utmost privacy. Jamie and Wendy were amazing hosts and their staff Ayu and Agus could not have been nicer. We hope to visit again soon!

We enjoyed our stay for 2 weeks. It was an amazing and phantastic accomodation. The house is more than beautiful and fits perfect into the landscape. Fully equiped and absolutely nothing was missing. It looks like as each detail of the house has been well-thought-out. The service provided by Ayu and Agus was outstanding. If you stay there the massage Ayu is doing is a must. We used it several times and it was so relaxing. Wendy and Jamie are also great hosts. Always available when ever you need something and supporting you in arranging day trips and soforth. We were lucky that we stayed there for such a long time and have not decided to travel around. It was a pleasure to us enjoying the house and to start excursions from there even the trafic on Bali is something you need to get used to. We absolutely recomend this kind of treasure island and I really want to underline all the other words given by the ratings before ours. One of my credo is underpromise - overdeliver. In this case it has been more than fulfilled.

We stayed at the beach house for the first four nights of our honeymoon and loved every minute of our stay. As soon as we drove up up we were warmly greeted by Ayu and Agus, the two most amazing women in Bali! They helped us with luggage and showed us everything at the house that would make our stay enjoyable. The villa is even better than the pictures, as everyone has reviewed. The architecture and design was impeccable, every detail thought out with intentionality. The amenities were dialed in, from wifi to domestic phone access, everything was taken care of. The breakfasts were amazing, the freshest fruit we've had in bali, and Ayu and Agus love to serve a variety of meals. The massages were also incredible and so relaxing after a day in the sun and surf. The location is superb for those seeking a secluded getaway. We felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Our hosts Jaime and Wendy were very friendly and stopped by to chat with us and hang out for a bit. We HIGHLY recommend this rental to anyone!

Now and then you come across something you really want to keep a secret but it's just so good you can't keep it for your self - the beach house was a great experience - This place makes you feel happy from the second you arrive and when you leave it is with a tear in your eye. The location on the beach, the beautiful house, the lovely Aya and Agus who made our stay such a memorable one. Our only regret we didn't stay longer.

Words can not describe how wonderful this place is, how wonderful the staff of Aya and Agus is, how speachless we were as we arrived in Heaven so called beach House! You have to enjoy a selfcooked dinner by Agus and a massage by Aya! Wonderful people and we enjoyed the most the uncomplicate way to arrange things with them! We 100% will come back!

When we arrived at 830 at night the staff was right their to greet us. They carried all our luggage to the villa and made us feel very welcome. Next they had a candle light dinner ready for us pool side. I knew right then I was in heaven.

Our stay at the beach house was incredible. The place was even more amazing than the pictures!! The maids were also incredible and Jamie was attentive to all of the details to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was just fantastic - with home made bread, your choice of range free duck eggs or chicken eggs, several different types of fruits, coffee, and one of several main dishes to choose from (pancakes, fried banana pancakes, French toast, or even home made yogurt with granola). The Beach House was completely private and just a dozen steps away from the beach. You can hear the sounds of the waves and the beach itself has very few people - you almost have the beach to yourself! About a five minute walk down the beach will bring you to several great town restaurants. We also went snorkeling at the western side of the island, which was well worth the 2 hour car trip, and we had a driver take us along the local rice fields and up into the mountains close by - a great way to see the local area. If you want a romantic and gorgeous slice of private paradise for your vacation, you will enjoy being here.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beach House at Balian Beach. We went for the beginning four nights of our honeymoon and it was perfect for what we wanted, namely it was beautiful, private, and well appointed. Wendy and Jamie are both very friendly. The two maids, Agus and Ayu were wonderfully friendly and prepared great breakfasts. We also had dinner at home one evening and it was our favorite meal of the stay. As for the location, know it is remote. The walk to the neighboring village, which has a handful of small restaurants, is short and along a beach. It's great if you're okay with a small surfing village and expect food on that level, as opposed to Michelin star dining. We found the small warungs to actually be quite tasty. Personally, we loved the remoteness. As for the villa itself, we loved the pool and the proximity to the ocean. It's wonderful to hear the waves as you sleep. We also really enjoyed the outdoor shower. As long as you are okay with the remoteness, we recommend this property highly and would definitely visit again.

We were welcomed & made to feel right at home from the minute we arrived at The Beach House. The villa & villa grounds were even more amazing than the photos…..& the photos were great….I guess you could say we were blown away by our experience here! Jamie & Wendy were great hosts, who have an idyllic location, so glad they are happy to share it with others. There is a sense of total privacy, serenity, peace & quiet. We wanted to be away from the hustle & bustle of the busy parts of Bali & found it soooo easy to relax & unwind in such beautiful surroundings, with the beach on our doorstep. Venturing through the shallow river crossing on our daily walks or in search of a warung or restaurant, was all part of this unique place. Agus & Ayu, greeting us each morning with their beautiful smiles, laughter & delicious, healthy breakfasts brings happy & special thoughts flooding back. We didn't want to leave & wished we had booked to stay longer, 5 nights at The Beach House just wasn't long enough, next time we will definitely try & book for a longer stay!

Its beauty, loveliness and the walk with the piggys at the beach... we really enjoyed our stay at the Beach House. The pictures in the internet do not show the real beauty of this location. It was more than wonderfull. The hosts, including Ayu and Agus, where lovely and made our stay perfect and special. We can really recommend this place. If you want to enjoy the real Balinese way of life... go for this place of heaven. We will come back!

The Beach House at Balian Beach was incredible. We are already trying to figure out how and when we can get back. True paradise. Jamie & Wendy are amazing hosts and their two helpers just make the entire experience. They smile every day and just make you smile. Make sure you get a massage and have them cook dinner. If you are looking for a secluded beach house away from all the tourists of bali, please look no further!

What a fantastic place to stay. We could not have imagined a better place to spend the first week of our honeymoon. The beach house is even more beautiful than the pictures. We spent our days lounging by the pool and walking the beach. An amazing place for surfing and unwinding. You can walk just a few minutes along the beach to find a cute little place to eat. Jamie and Wendy are so helpful and accommodating, making sure you have everything you need in the house and are also great at helping to book day trips. The snorkelling trip to Menjangen Island is a MUST DO! The ladies who work at the beach house, Agus and Ayu were absolutely wonderful, their home cooked breakfasts every morning and dinners when requested, were out of this world, as well as the massages. We definitely want to return to the beach house some day! Thanks Jamie and Wendy!

I've never had a better stay anywhere and I've stayed in a lot of places. This was just what I was looking for - the villa feels remote yet is connected to a chill tourist village about a 10 minute walk up the beach. I loved everything - the black sand beach, the solitude, the beautiful villa and gorgeous views of (and from) the pool, the ladies who brought breakfast and cleaned every morning, the familial way Wendy & Jamie treat you...seeing nothing but sand and sea, a few local fisherman (which I liked, felt like a real place where locals live and go about their lives), a few surfers (nice waves by the way), and further up the beach, some tourists here and there. It was picturesque, comfortable, enjoyable and even the few ants and mosquitoes (normal for anywhere tropical) weren't bad and didn't bother me. I was there in July when the weather is quite pleasant (not too humid or wet) and slept fine with the a/c unit focused on the bed, but do note that the bedroom is large and not fully enclosed during the day (and will seep a/c either way), so if having a fully air conditioned room is important to you, then it's worth being aware of. I am typically unable to sleep without cool air at night, but I was very comfortable and even turned off the a/c a couple of nights. Breakfast was delicious and came with lots of coffee (which I loved waking up to!). The hosts provide wine and beer selections in the fridge to choose from (similar to a mini bar, you pay before leaving) - prices are very fair. They also provide bottled water (cold, hot or room temp). Microwave, all cooking utensils. The drivers they use are wonderful and will take you to a supermarket to pick up food to cook and snacks on the way to the villa if you'd like - or you can opt to get something locally, or arrange for the ladies to cook dinner for a very fair charge. I highly recommend using their drivers - prices are very fair (as with everything that Jamie and Wendy help organise for you), they speak English well, are interesting and kind people, and won't get you lost trying to find the villa! ;) Since it gets dark around mid evening most of the year, they provide a tv and dvds. Since I was traveling alone, I enjoyed sitting down to a movie each night after the sun went down. I have traveled all over the world and am very keen on finding unique places to visit and stay - this tops my list for feeling like an authentic experience of living on an island with real people - not hiding away in a resort, yet having a resort standard of luxury and sense that the beach and ocean are all your own.

OMG. If you are going to Bali and want the ultimate secluded get-away, this is your place to stay. Jamie and Wendy are wonderful, friendly hosts, extremely helpful with prompt correspondence and feedback regarding your trip. They even helped us with transportation provision and VIP Customs services. And the villa is absolutely breath-taking. Immaculate, gorgeous, with all the comforts of a luxury home. Not to mention, their staff, Anju and Angus, who can make you the most delicous breakfasts, lunch and/or dinner (upon request) and also provide massage. Breakfast can include omlettes made from Jamie and Wendy's own free range ducks! Our experience was extremely positive, and we would stay forever if we could. It was the perfect way to end our Honeymoon in Bali and we hope to return again someday and stay for longer.

The Beach House is truly an Airbnb gem! My husband and I knew the stay would be great based off the numerous 5-star reviews, however, somehow The Beach House managed to surpass our wildly lofty expectations. Jamie and Wendy are such warm, helpful hosts. They arranged transportation from the airport to the The Beach House, making the last leg of the trip a breeze for us jet-lagged zombies. Jaime and Wendy provided wonderful suggestions for local activities and restaurants. You can tell they care about their guests. As for the house itself, it's EVEN more beautiful than the pictures (seriously!). The house and grounds are immaculately kept. I'm trying to figure out how we can have an outdoor bathroom like The Beach House's in our city apartment... Oh and it's all too easy to adjust to falling asleep to the sounds of crashing ocean waves and chirping crickets. You'll sleep like a baby. The two women Jaime and Wendy employ are an important part of the quality of the stay. These lovely ladies made us delicious home-cooked meals, gave daily 1 hour massages (we're still dreaming of those), and left the place spotless (and decorated with beautiful fresh flowers) every morning. (Thank you Ayoo and Agus!) Plus they speak English remarkably well! The 24+ hours of travel from San Francisco to The Beach House? Worth every second. Our only regret is not booking a longer stay.

It was our first time in Bali, and we were looking for a place off the beaten track. The pictures shown and the description were suggesting this. Our excitement when we were arriving build up, we got there, and it was even nicer in reality! As we had our own driver, Wendy and Jaime gave him exact directions once we got closer, and also suggested we buy some "western" items we may want on the way. The Beach House provided all basic stuff like water, coffee, milk, sugar, soap, etc. Wendy and Jaime showed us around first, and we were impressed about with which passion and with which attention to detail they had built this house. They gave us tips for eating options, and for the great snorkeling/diving spot. We loved the setting, the architecture, the closeness to the ocean, it's sound of waves, the wide beach, the open shower, the fact that we could use Airplay for our music. Wendy and Jaime are great hosts, and they are supported by their wonderful staff Agu and Ayun, who spoilt us with the most deli breakfasts, massages, but also dinners on request, and warmth, in particular also for our son. For those looking for a more intimate secluded time, this place is just beautiful. We would love to come back.

I am going to echo everyone else that has left a review previously. The house is so amazing and in such a beautiful place! Jaime and Wendy's ad was spot-on and the house and location actually surpassed our expectations! It is truly a quiet place to get away and relax. Jaime and Wendy were excellent hosts and set up practically everything we wanted to do for us including all transfers to and from various destinations. Very accommodating. Wendy was very responsive and helpful to any questions that we had prior to our visit via email and Jaime and Wendy were the same during our stay. They give you a local iPhone that you can call them with if you have any questions or concerns at any time. It was also helpful on day trips to see where exactly you are on the island. We would highly recommend going to Palau Menjangan in the West of Bali for snorkeling. It far surpasses all of the other snorkeling destinations that we have visited throughout the world! It was totally worth the money. The two ladies, Ayu and Agus, were so nice and are wonderful chefs! The massages were excellent as well! We kept commenting that we felt like we were staying in our own private five-star resort! Thank you Jaime and Wendy for such an amazing honeymoon stay! We will hopefully be back!

We've been home from our Bali Surfari Family Adventure a few days now and I am still daydreaming about our lovely stay at The Beach House at Balian. The guest house on the beach is everything you have already read in the numerous positive reviews. Stylishly designed, well appointed and positioned right in front of the surf break, -and with no neighbors! The hosts were so great; check-in and check-out totally seamless. Jamie was very congenial and helpful in every way. We also loved the companionable pet dogs, pigs and ducks. I fell in love with the staff, Agus and Ayu. Don't miss an in-house massage with Ayu, she's magic. Also the ladies are very good cooks, and Balian doesn't offer many yummy warungs, best to just let them cook dinner for you ;)

The Beach House is an absolutely wonderful place! We felt at home right from the start and it is more beautiful than all the pictures. The two ladies gave us massages and the best food eva! Loved every second of this wonderful home and would love to go back again!!! Truly magnificent!

I'm a little torn about writing a review for The Beach House. On one hand, telling too many people about this little slice of paradise lets the cat out of the bag and too many people in on the secret. On the other hand, The Beach House is so wonderful, it's only fair to share it with others. Despite having visited Bali numerous times, this was a new part of the island for us. It's out of the way and the peace and solitude suited us perfectly. Situated practically right on the black sand beach, the villa is quintessentially Balinese in design with with bales, pavilions and outdoor bathroom surrounded by gardens and ponds. The decor is elegant and simple featuring Javanese wood carving. It's fully kitted out with all mod cons. Jamie & Wendy are great hosts - there when you need them and not when you don't. The food prepared by Ayu and Agung was fresh and delicious. And their welcoming smiles infectious. And of course a special mention of their charming driver Ketut.

Everyone who will come to The Beach House will love it and doesn't want to leave this beautiful beautiful place. I can't say how much we enjoyed our time there. The Beach House is situated in a breathtaking garden with old palm trees and all exotic flowers that make this place so wonderful. From your breakfast table you will see the farmers picking coconut from the trees and the sea with fine black sand right in front of you. 5 Minutes by walk along the beach there is a surfer's paradise with nice restaurants and beach bars. We did not meet Jamie and Wendy themselves, but they cared about us as they where there. Agus und Ayu were reading every wish from our lips. The Beach House itself is in a very luxurious, tasteful balinese style. We stayed there for 5 days, which was too short. It was our first time in Bali and our first location. Every location after that experience could have been beautiful but never was as beautiful as The Beach House. Big compliments to Jamie & Wendy, Agus & Ayu and thanks again for a wonderful wonderful time!!!

We just returned after spending 4 nights at the Beach House. Booking with airbnb was easy and communication with our hosts Jamie and Wendy was excellent. They organised our transfer and during our stay were available for any requests we might have. So without wanting to repeat too much that has already been said. This place is perfect. if you want a quiet location to relax or for your honeymoon look no further. What I loved the most was the attention to detail. From the layout of the house itself to how everything felt like quality. from an airplay stereo system with speakers inside and outside to the beauty of the inifinity pool. words and pictures actually fail to describe how this place makes you not want to leave it even tho there is not that much to do. Our days consisted of taking a walk on the empty beach. hanging out by the pool or in the living area staring at the sea and listining to the waves. at night we would take a swim in the beautifully lit pool and watch the stars. Doing nothing without getting bored never seemed easier. As the other reviewers mentioned Agus and Ayu were great. While taking all work off your hands they still have some time for a friendly chat and nothing ever feels too much to ask. We enjoyed the different breakfast varitions and the excellent dinner cooked to our wishes. The masssages by Ayu were excellent as well. This place is very private and remote. Of course Jamie, Wendy, Agus and Ayu can be reached by the provided iPhone but most of the time you will be by yourself. This place is perfect for unwinding or romance but not if you require outside entertainment. For us it was perfect and we will be back ;-)

What a fantastic place the beach house is. A truly Balinese experience to be had. Great location near the beach and the hosts Wendy and Jamie were only too happy to help us with anything we needed. Our kids loved going up to the house every morning collecting the eggs, coconuts and making fresh juices. Agus and ayu were the best and the kids wanted to take them home. I highly recommend anyone wanting to visit the west coast of Bali to check out Balian. Thanks guys.

A beautiful spot and stunning villa right on the beach. The location was a little remote for us but we had an amazing time. We walked along the beach to a quaint little local bar but had to watch for the tide so we wouldn't get stranded across the river.

We can nothing but repeat, what all the other posts say: The Balian Beach House is absolutely amazing!! Better than any picture can say. We really loved our stay and didn't want to leave after four nights. We have travelled half of Bali, but this is the best place we have been to. Very quiet and situated in a beautiful garden, on an empty beach, but still with some nice restaurants at walking distance down the beach. (The walk back through the river was a bit of an adventure, but you can always take the longer way on the road.) The two houses, connected by a fish pond, are a fantastic mixture of traditional and modern. The two ladies Ayu and Agus are very discreet, but also great to have a chat with, great cooks, we could not ask for more. Wendy is a perfect host, extremely friendly, very easy to communicate with and her answers through email were super fast, at anytime. She was always available, when we needed her during our stay. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to meet Jamie. We don't think anything can come much closer to paradise than this!

We just got back to London and cannot stop thinking about how great our last few nights in Bali were thanks to Wendy and Jamie’s warm hospitality at The Beach House. Similar to the previous post on here, we agree that if you want to truly escape the touristy parts of Bali, then this place is worth the 2-hour commute from Seminyak. The highlights for us were definitely the massages by Ayu and Agus’s excellent Balinese culinary skills. Our general experience is that once you arrive to The Beach House, you really don’t want nor need to leave this house! The place is a few meters away from the beach, the infinity pool and sunbathing lounge area provide the right environment to simply relax, read and sunbathe. We definitely look forward to returning to Bali next year and hopefully get the chance to stay at The Beach House since words alone cannot fully describe how beautiful this place really is in person. The place is even is as beautiful, if not even more than the pictures displayed on here.

This is well worth the 2 hour drive from Seminyak! We absolutely loved our stay at the 'Beach House' and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle for a few days or more... Wendy was so accommodating as were the two lovely house helpers. You have everything you need here to just relax and unwind. Make sure you organise massages and a traditional Balinese meal through the ladies- just delicious! We will definitely be back- hopefully with our boys but in the meantime will be recommending this place to our friends and family. Thank you Wendy and Jamie- you are on to something great here. xx

The Beach House is truly paradise. The photos look beautiful, but the reality is even better. Incredibly peaceful, absolutely stunning surroundings, luxurious interior, amazing design. Every comfort is accommodated, and little details like the vast DVD library and extra toiletries on offer make you feel so welcome. The staff are perfect, friendly and efficient, yet discrete. And if you're lucky enough to stay when Wendy and Jamie are there, then you'll enjoy the pleasure of meeting these lovely generous people. We stayed here as a birthday treat as it is a little over our usual budget - but it was actually far better value than other cheaper places that we stayed.

Best place ever! We had a wonderful experience at the House, a place you hate to leave, and love to return to. The maids, Agus & Ayu, were very caring, the dogs were lovely, and the tour driver, Ketut, was most helpful and resourceful. Our only regret was not meeting Wendy & Jamie, which we hope to when we visit next, because we just couldn't get enough of the place this time around. Thanks for the great time!

We loved the beach house. It exceeded our expectations for a beautiful house in a tranquil location! The house is full of thoughtful design touches -- making it exceptionally comfortable. Wendy and Jamie were fantastic hosts - making sure that we were settled and had all of the information we needed before we got there and during the stay. Our perfect days were - an amazing breakfast with delicious coffee - surfing lessons (extra $ with a local guide) mid-morning - swimming in the pool all afternoon and reading books and napping - massage at 4pm (extra $) - fantastic/delicious dinner by the pool at 6:30 (cooked by the maids extra $) The extra costs were very reasonable, and made sure that we could stay relaxed in the house itself. They also helped us go on a day trip to Ubud to do Batik. All in all it was an exceptional visit - we'd recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing, mellow trip.

Afgelopen kerstvakantie waren wij 10 dagen op Bali in het Beach House. De gegeven 5 sterren zijn zeer verdient. Waar zal ik beginnen? Het , zeer schone, huis zelf was zeer ruim voor ons en onze kinderen (11 en 12 jaar). Het huis is een mix van prachtige indonesisch design met westers comfort. Het is een stuk ruimer dan de foto's op de website doen vermoeden. Vanuit het huis heb je een prachtig uitzicht op het zwembad en de , warme, zee. De staf is heel vriendelijk en brengt s'morgens een schaal met vers fruit. Het ontbijt met cappuccino was heerlijk, omelet/muesli voor ons en pancake's voor de kinderen. Voor je vuile was en het huis wordt dagelijks gezorgd. Een paar keer heeft de staf ook voor een heerlijk diner gezorgd tegen een heel redelijke prijs. Ook hebben we genoten van de massages aan huis.(prettig voor tijdens een tropische regenbui) De gastheer en vrouw zijn erg attent maar laten hun gasten ook van hun rust genieten. Het Beach House ligt op een rustige plek. Om de (vele) leuke dingen te bezoeken heb je wel echt een auto nodig. Voor ons hadden ze een prettige driver geregeld. Wij hebben genoten van het snorkelen tussen de tropische vissen, het raften op de rivier en het bezoeken van de Spices Garden. Inmiddels hebben wij onder onze vrienden al druk reclame gemaakt....:-) Heel veel plezier gewenst op Bali. Saskia Jacobs. Beijing, China

PEOPLE GO FOR THIS HOUSE!!!! It was the best place we have been sleeping in Bali and just awesome. It's a short walk to restaurants (a long if the balian river is full) but ok. Jamie and Wendy are nice people and think about everything...I can only recommend this place!! I've been there with 3 friends but it would be even greater with my girlfriend :-) Really a great place to relax and chill out!

We got a fantastic experience at the Beach House. Such a beautiful and relaxing location with a stunning view! The house is very spacious and nice. And Wendy is a great host, providing everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

This probably was the best of all the great villas we stayed at in Bali. If you think the pictures look great, the reality is even more beautiful. Watching the sunset over the ocean from the pool was just amazing. Jamie and Wendy are great hosts and were really helpful.

My girlfriend and I spent about a week at Jamie and Wendy´s Beach villa in the beginning of October. The house and the area itself are absolutely amazing for a peaceful holiday: we went to bed and woke up listening to the ocean. The breakfast served outdoors was perfect. Jamie and Wendy are really nice people and helpful hosts, it was a pleasure to be their guests.

We stayed for 9 nights at the villa as the closure of our 3 week honeymoon in Bali. We thought the last villa could not top the first 2, but it has in every way! It was paradise!! The villa is perfectly located with a great view over the ocean and you have beautiful sunset views from the gazebo/pool. The surrounding is so relaxing with the fishpond, open air atmosphere, sound of the waves and the beautiful garden. not to mention the house itself, Javanese house with lots of beautiful details. Although Wendy and Jamie also live on the property grounds, we had a feeling of total privacy. Wendy and Jamie are super friendly and helpful, so are the staff that made us breakfast every morning and made sure we had a pleasant stay. The walk to the centre of the village is about 10 minutes and goes along the beach and across a little river. You can also walk along the road but it will take you longer. Walking back from dinner in the dark with flashlights under a sea of stars is really romantic. We had planned to do a lot of sightseeing but in the end we have only been away 1 day, this place is magic!!! Look at the pictures on this website and imagine it 10 x better. That is how we experienced it.

Our stay at Wendy and Jamie's beach house was just amazing! As they had only recently joined air bnb they did not yet have any reviews when we made our booking but communications leading up to our trip were always so pleasant and helpful I guessed we had made a good choice. Little did we know how good a choice we had made until we arrived!! Wendy and Jamie really did everything they could to ensure our stay at Balian was perfect. Their Javanese house is just beautiful and the perfect spot if you want to escape the crowds and experience the raw beauty and romance of Bali. Set on a beautiful quiet black sand surf beach, with a cute little beach cafe across the river and surrounded by natural and wild landscapes....this is paradise....throw in the luxury of homemade breakfasts...exotic fruits and freshly brewed coffee and you have the perfect mix of living in the tropics but with the comforts of home (not to mention cold beers in the fridge on arrival). It's all the extra little things that these guys thought of and if there was anything we needed they were fast to assist but also took care to ensure we had our privacy......we will leave you to discover the rest for yourself but this is definitely a place we highly recommend!

If you are looking for paradise, you will find it here. After 28 hours traveling from Germany, the first comment from our younger daughter was: "Wow, I never thought, that we would ever be in such a wonderful house. It´s like in a movie." Jamie and Wendy are very kind hosts. They are always available, if you have any needs. Also the staff is gorgeous. We really enjoyed the Massage and the freshly prepared breakfast. The beach house, surrounded by a huge and beautiful garden is very clean and radiates a lot of harmony. The beds, equipped with mosquito nets are very comfortable. Our family (2 kids, 17 and 14) felt very well. From the great pool you have a fantastic view to the ocean. The very close beach is still in its natural state. With the private driver you can arrange nice trips around the island. If we should ever come back to Bali, we will definitely stay here again. Marie, Reinhard, Johanna and Franziska July, 2013
