Exploring Beachfront+Big Pool, Fabulous views, Chef left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Beachfront+Big Pool, Fabulous views, Chef was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Amed Beach plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Beachfront+Big Pool, Fabulous views, Chef painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
The villa is beautiful in photos and the location is fantastic, right next to a great snorkeling spot. The staff were lovely, welcoming, and even cooked a delicious meal for us, which we truly appreciated. I understand that this is an open-style house in a tropical environment, and I wasn’t expecting perfection — I’ve traveled to Bali many times. However, what we experienced went far beyond what can be considered normal for the tropics. We found multiple cockroaches in several rooms — several dead ones by the bed, one in the sink, several in the shower, and a live one crawling on our bed. There were also spider webs behind the bed, all of which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe, especially as I’m currently pregnant. We had to cut our stay short, and Airbnb refunded the unused nights as we shared pictures with proof. It’s a shame, because the place has a lot of potential — but proper cleaning and serious pest control are urgently needed. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Fantastic location,you're right in front of the sea,where you can enjoy seeing the turtles! The house is good looking and the swimming pool enjoyable. Nevertheless, cleanliness is not at the top, there's a sensation of slopiness (sofas are dirty, linen is stained and old, lack of general maintenance) which is disappointing for the price you pay. Unlike what says the announcement on AirBnB there's no washing machine and no dishwasher. Breakfast was ok.
This house is in a fantastic location, right on the beach in Amed with amazing snorkeling, and has a lovely swimming pool and garden. The villa is spacious and airy, and the staff are attentive and friendly. That being said, in my opinion there are a few negatives that need to be addressed to make this a 5 star place. Despite there being a large team of staff, the cleanliness of the place could be much better. Light cleaning is done each day, but there doesn’t appear to be much deep cleaning done between guests. As well as this, the house is rather dated and could do with some refurbishment including replacing bed linens and other textiles. Another negative for us was the lack of privacy. We asked the owner not to be disturbed, and despite this the staff still entered several times without knocking/calling beforehand. If those few issues were addressed, this could be a fantastic holiday home for large groups or families. It has great potential to be an amazing property.
We love Amed and the surrounding, therefore we always enjoy some days in that still quiet area. According the description our expectations maybe had been a bit more. The location of the house and the views are outstanding. The staff consists indeed of many people, they were friendly and communicative. We usually rent places with less staff, therefore you should be aware that always people will be around you. For us and for some days this was okay. The house itself is old with a 'colonial' atmosphere. Some rooms, e.g. bedrooms, kitchen or bathrooms are very basic, do not expect any luxury. The open living area is huge and comfortable.According the description our expectations were higher and some parts of the house need some modernization. The kitchen had a cleanliness issue and we are not talking about ants, that's for sure common in regions like this. Talking about luxury, the pool and the direct sea access/view to Gunung Agung and the sea is it. We did not meet Nengah, the breakfast/simple meal had been nicely prepared by the staff. For future trips to East Bali we would consider different options for accomodation.
House was amazing, exactly as it was described. Great location right on beach with amazing snorkelling (just to the right of the house we saw turtles each day), could walk into town easily for food and ATM. No aircon in one of the upstairs bedrooms, and with no sea breeze it was a bit hot for sleeping (but manageable). Great food, definitely recommend have dinners prepared in the house. Staff were amazing, house was always immaculate, and no request was too much. We felt very much at home here. Wayan was amazing, great communicator (and his wife gave an amazing in-house massage!!), picked us up and dropped us off, and took us on some local tours, we got to learn a lot about the local Balinese culture. We felt very lucky to find this gem.
Lovely rustic villa in a great location at Amed. The snorkelling off the beach out the front was a highlight of our trip. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, food that was cooked for us was good too. Facilities are basic, but everything you need for a relaxing stay on the beach.
Die Villa ist grosszügig und eigentlich gut gelegen, jedoch in die Jahre gekommen und nicht so gut unterhalten. Der Strandabschnitt vor der Villa war bei unserem Aufenthalt mit viel Holzabfällen zugemüllt. Die Angestellten waren jederzeit sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit, die Verständigung war jedoch nicht ganz einfach und wir hatten den Eindruck sie waren auch nicht so gut instruiert. Leider haben wir Nengah erst an unserem Abreisetag getroffen - für die Abrechnung der Fahrten welche wir in Anspruch genommen hatten. Hier hat das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis definitiv nicht gestimmt. Unserer Ansicht nach sind Amed und die Beach Villa schöne Orte mit Potential sich etwas gepflegter zu präsentieren.

We have been traveling around South-East Asia for 2 month with 2 kids and my parent. During our one month stay in Bali, we decided to go to Amed, where we have never been before and I was lucky to get a couple of nights in this beautiful Villa last minute as it is normally fully booked. What a beautiful place - the pictures don’t do it justice , the place is fantastic in reality! Despite it is not new but well curated and comfortable. It is right on the beach with decent corals and some fish - you literally enter the sea and in 2 meters can see Picasso trigger fish. The deeper you go the more interesting it gets! And ah those sunsets over Mt Agung (active volcano) - magical! Another positive point was the chef - he used to work in 5 start hotels in Ubud and his food is delicious, you will definitely not find anything better than that in Amed so I highly recommend ordering dinner in the Villa as you will have a beautiful setting, meters away from the sea and a really amazing Balinese food!! However, I cannot give this place a 5 star rating as our stay was a bit spoiled by the service - which was intrusive. I saw some comments when people were complaining about lack of privacy and disregarded it as we stayed in many villas in Bali and understand that someone has to work to maintain the place and make the guests’ stay comfortable . In our case, the staff made us feel very uncomfortable. On the day of our check-out - the staff occupied the kitchen from the early morning (which is understandable as they were making breakfast) but never left. They were literally 5 people sitting on the floor so we could not freely enter there and make coffee, tea or snacks for our kids. When I was packing the bag downstairs a few people were constantly next to me observing me. On one occasion, my husband came out from the shower to find someone in the room in the middle of day.. It really just spoiled the whole experience.. I even changed the taxi to arrive earlier as everyone wanted to leave asap. I am sure, many people are fine with that but it did spoil our stay, therefore, I am giving it only 4 stars.
The first impressions when you arrive at Bali Beach House is wow! The grounds are stunning and the location is right on the beach - with some of the best snorkeling in Amed just outside your door. After staying two weeks in the house with a family of 4 with 2 small kids (3y and 8m) I believe we experienced the house quite well, this is our view of the property: Plusses: Location in Amed, waves just outside the house, good snorkeling, great views Garden and pool area is just lovely Beautifully furnished and decorated house Great hanging out places (daybed at the beach, poolside, upstairs balcony, ...) Very friendly staff that interacted in a really nice way with our kids. Also great help to give us motorisé to the store for shopping etc. Food - delicious like stated and very comfortable to have it served in the house. Very good food in other places along the beach too, for half the price, so we varied. Also great to be able to have food carried down from the nearby Warung Good communication before arrival and support with e.g. booking a pool fence Small toys and games for us and the kids — Less good for us: Room layout. This is described in the text, but we didn’t really understand it - there are 3 bedrooms as far away from each other as possible. This means that if you sleep in one, you cannot hear your kids in another no matter how they scream if doors are closed. In addition, the (by far) best bedroom in terms of bathroom and view has no AC so that was a no go for us as it stayed very hot all night, despite fan. AC in upstairs bedroom barely works. Thus leaving 1 bedroom which is really cool to sleep in. This may not be a problem at all for others Cleaning can be improved, despite 4 happy cleaners every morning there’s dust in the corners and no one sweeps under the beds. Towels were supposed to be changed after 3 days, only after 7 when we asked did it happen. The floor mopping is sporadic at best. Easy fix! It says you have the space to yourself, but the Warung uses same fridge for their food so continuously people going into kitchen to fetch things. Add to this a 2-3 hour cleaning and gardening in the morning, and 1 hour in the afternoon for watering etc and it feels like you are seldom alone. At the same time hard to ask them not to, the garden wouldn’t be as beautiful if it wasn’t watered twice per day We would have liked more local recommendations for things to try, good restaurants and so forth, less “do everything through us, don't trust anyone else”. We have seen this in really luxurious hotels but never on airbnb before and it is not nice — Overall we are very happy with spending two weeks here, even if the room layout and heat made it a bit hard with small kids. We would really recommend this property for 2 couples (or 3 if 1 doesn’t mind sleeping warm) sharing holiday. Probably also for older kids. Special thanks to Komang who took extra good care of us!
Nengah’s place is a quiet oasis on be beach. Built mostly of wood and glass it has an inviting open and airy feel. The staff are there to assist you in your every need. Be sure to go out for an early morning sunrise boat ride coupled with a local fishing experience. You are literally steps away from the beach and all the snorkeling your hearts content. Komang’s food is delicious and my girlfriend especially loved the dragonfruit preserve. We are really grateful to Bapak, the Wayans, Komang and the rest of the staff who made our stay comfortable and one to remember. Thanks
Our stay at Amed Beach Villa was pure paradise from the very first moment. Wayan and his incredible team welcomed us so warmly that we instantly felt right at home. The villa itself is a stunning, authentic piece of Balinese beauty, exceptionally clean, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed delicious, top-quality breakfasts every morning in a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere where every single detail was taken care of around the clock. Nengah—and especially Wayan, who looks after the house—were truly wonderful: incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating! The property blends classic Indonesian character with relaxed somewhat retrobeach-house vibes and sits directly on the beachfront/ocean views . But modern and comfortable. The views are fantastic, with excellent snorkelling and diving right out front—we even saw turtles! Spiritual Mt Agung just there too. Our whole family, including the kids, had an amazing time here. Some of Amed’s best restaurants, cafés and shops are just an easy stroll away. You can also walk to Jemeluk Bay, while Sunset Point and the beautiful cafés overlooking the bay are close by. like other reviews, i would consider 3rd rear single bedroom is somewhat affected by nearby road noise (in the distance) but it ebs and flows and settles later at night. Nengah's place is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. Nengah has made everything easy for the most relaxing (and adventurous) holiday. It is like a 5 star hotel except that it's a private residence. Wayan Su, Kadek, Putu, Wayan B. and Komang are the lovely people who looked after us. Ilu who provides the massages is wonderful (must do!) The house, gardens, scenery (view of Mt Agung from the beach), and so many turtles, fish, reef sharks, rays are everything you could hope for. The breakfasts and dinners are delicious. Even gorgeous souvenirs. Don't hesitate to book!

Great proactive communication, amazing staff, and the place is unbelievable. Even better than the photos. The pool is massive, warm, and the snorkelling is about 10m from the gate. We saw turtles every day. Best at high tide. In-house dining is exceptional. Even cooked the mahi-mahi we caught on a trip arranged by Wayan the manager If we’re anywhere near Bali again, we’ll be back and would love to stay for longer. Than you Nengah and team!

This place was amazing! Wayan and the rest of his team were really helpful and communicative, nothing was too much trouble for them, including arranging drivers and massages, preparing picnic breakfasts for us when we had early starts, del ious freshly cooked meals for dinner, and there was usually enough left over for lunch the next day as well. The villa was very well equipped and had lots of little extras as well, like snorkelling equipment,balls, books and games. The beach was right outside the door and there was lots of colourful fish to observe while snorkelling. Some people even saw turtles as well! The house has a lovely chilled vibe to it and it truly felt like you were on holiday from the moment you arrived. One small setback. The house is on a busy road so you do hear traffic (Bali drivers use their horns a lot - with good reason - as you will discover!). This particularly affected the bedroom at the back. Otherwise an amazing place and highly recommended!

Nengah’s place is more beautiful in real life than it is in the pics. Make sure you book for 5 nights. we had 3 and thats my only complaint. You can relax at home and watch kids play, swim and snorkel straight outside the back gate. No packing up and driving for time on the beach. The biggest asset is the Balinese hospitality. All of the staff are so happy and organised. Great breakfast. Our third time in Bali, we will always come back here in the future. Hard to beat.
Nengah's Bali Beach house in Amed beach was perfectly located right on the best snorkelling beach in the area. Staff were attentive, informative and friendly. Nothing was a prolblem for them. Great breakfast every morning. Walking distance to lots of local restaurants and cafes. We really enjoyed our time there.
We loved staying in this house, everything about it, and the people who assist, is beautiful. Great food, massage, swimming, reading, games, driving, and general good times. Nengah’s is one of my favourite all time stays. Thanks to Wayan and staff - we loved it.

This is our second stay at this beautiful house and we loved it even more than the first time. The house is well equipped, lovely cool air con in the bedrooms, right on the beach with a reef and some gorgeous little bright fish out the front for snorkeling. The staff are the BEST, they took wonderful care of us including making sure we had support overnight for a sick child and ageing parent if needed. They all had fun with our two young kids, both this time and last time. We also used the wonderful staff for our dinners - such beautiful Indonesian food, and all our requests taken into consideration. Lovely fresh barracuda and the kids couldn’t get enough of the chicken satay! Thank you to all the staff 💛

I don’t have the words - this place is incredible! After 20 years of travelling Bali, this has been my favourite trip. Family friendly, our kids had the best time. Snorkelling daily - turtles directly at the front of the villa! Walking distance to many restaurants and shops - or I recommend paying the small fee to have the staff cook meals for you! Delicious. Everything you need is in the villa - you could honestly not leave and be content. Even better than the photos. The staff - just incredible! Nothing was too much to ask and they do such an amazing job of keeping the house in order. The only place I’ll stay now on return to Bali.
Our 2nd time at Nengah's: we would not go back if it was not good! The house has a very Balinese "feel" with all the modern comfort you could want, with many very nice and sometimes funny art and artefacts. All the furniture is of carved wood and absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is huge! Manager Wayan Su picked us up at DPS with a huge smile, we were happy to see him again too! We remember Wayan and Kadek from our previous time, Putu was a new face. Everyone was always helpful and friendly and smiling and laughing, they make a good team and do a great job. Kadek's and Wayan Su's cooking is fantastic, we got home made jam and banana bread and cinnamon bread and good suggestions for dinner. Why go out for dinner when eating at home is excellent? We very much enjoyed the quiet in our private garden and going snorkelling just in front of the house, weather permitting. We hope to return in a couple of years! Thank you, Nengah and staff, for making us feel at home. Terimah kasi!
Absolutely perfect experience for our family! The staff was very accommodating and so kind and helpful. We loved the visit and would definitely recommend the place for families with children!

Our family of 4 loved our stay here. Staff made an excellent breakfast each morning and also prepared great meals. There are also a number of great local restaurants within a 2-10 min walk ( Rimba cafe) and a store that has an ATM, snacks, alcohol and other goods. But the real reason to be here is the snorkelling out the gate. We had multiple days of turtles sighting and swimming with us, and the fish - it’s like swimming in an aquarium. After our snorkelling we’d swim in the pool and often walk the 1 min to Bobo’s warung for beer and whatever fish they had that day. Would love to come back
We had a fantastic stay. Very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were attentive and made us feel at home. We truly loved our time here, and leaving after just 3 days was the hardest part. Highly recommend staying longer if you can.
We felt so lucky to have stayed here. Nothing is too much trouble, and Nengah and Wayan and team were so thoughtful and friendly. The house is very special - tucked away in beautiful gardens filled with birds and flowers. Go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves and enjoy delicious food in the house, or out in one of the many restaurants in Amed. Wayan took us on a wonderful tour of the local sights, organised a boat trip and collected us from the airport. And the snorkelling from the beach immediately behind the house is incredible. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, warm, unique, luxurious but authentic Bali experience.
My family of five couldn't have been happier here. Nengah, Wayan and staff are delightful and always helpful. Breakfasts were sensational, as were the dinners we had at home. The location is incredible - there really are fish and turtles just outside the back door. The house is thoughtfully set up, with every convenience. Book.
We cannot say enough about Bali Beach House. Wayan the property manager was so great. He picked us up at the airport. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Wayan and his staff and family were so sweet. The breakfasts were delicious too. This beach is fabulous. The scuba diving is close by. We will be back.
We had a wonderful family holiday at Negah’s Bali beach house. The house is luxurious, spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with a great double height living area opening on two sides to a garden and pool. The charming established garden is filled with tropical plants and colourful flowering trees which surround the swimming pool served by loungers and with shade provided by an umbrella and pergola. The double outdoor daybed was a favourite spot- great views right onto Amed beach and lovely breezy shade for lounging, dozing, reading and crosswords. The house is right on the beach. The snorkeling is amazing - turtles and a myriad of brightly coloured tropical fish just metres away. The staff team led by Wayan Su were thoughtful, efficient, kind and helpful. We had several dinners at the house all of which were delicious and plentiful, and a tasty breakfast prepared for us every day. Thoroughly recommended.
Beautiful house with striking architecture, soaring ceilings in the living room, and beautiful views of the gorgeous garden/pool area and the sea. Speaking of the sea, there’s very good snorkeling right in front of the house. Nengah was friendly and helpful. Wayan and the staff are also super friendly and work hard to keep guests happy. It is a testament to how nice it is that we were often reluctant to leave, spending many happy hours swimming in the good-sized pool, relaxing in the garden listening to pretty bird songs, or lounging on the upstairs balcony, looking out at the sea. Rimba is a good casual little restaurant only a few minutes walk away,, with an eclectic menu, and bakery, too. The downstairs bedroom is splendid. The upstairs bedroom facing the sea is beautiful, but I couldn’t sleep in it because even 2 fans weren’t enough. The other upstairs bedroom does have air conditioning, but isn’t as nice as the other 2 bedrooms. We had a great time. Highly recommended.
We filled two full weeks of family vacation (two kids) with joy, happiness and adventure. When snorkeling in front of the house we always saw turtles. Garden and pool are perfect for relaxed family time. By car you can easily visit several sights within one day: temples, waterfalls, palaces, etc. Diving centers are located almost next door. Within a few minutes of walking there are plenty food options. Also, Nengah and the house crew prepare delicious dishes. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We didn‘t want to leave…
Great villa and pool and the best location. Directly walk from the garden to beach and coral reefs where we snorkled and dove. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Especially Wayan, who picked us up and brought us to our next location, was our main contact at the villa. Pleasure to stay at the villa. Definitely recommend the accommodation.
Het huis voldoet aan de verwachtingen na het zien van de advertentie en is mooier dan op de foto’s. Wayan en de rest van het personeel zijn ontzettend behulpzaam, vriendelijk en servicegericht. Het was voor ons de ideale plek om te ontspannen na een drukke rondreis. Voor de deur is al een mooie snorkelplek waar je je zeker zult vermaken.

This was our second visit to Bali Beach House, having spent three days there last year and loved it so much that we returned this year, for a longer 8 night trip. Everything, and everyone, was just as we remembered from last year, and we immediately felt right at home again! Wayan Su and the rest of the team were super friendly and couldn't have done more to ensure that our stay was a thoroughly happy one! Bali Beach House is a very special place, and the team running it are an absolute credit to Nengah. I hope that we will one day be back to see you all again!

came on a girls trip to have a mid winter break from Perth. the accommodation is perfect for relaxing, and all the staff so attentive and helpful. we couldn't have asked for more, and will definitely be back!
Loved this place and wished I had more time here. The whole vibe of the town was conducive to relaxation. All the house staff were so nice. They kept the place spotless and made us a delicious breakfast every morning. Lots of good restaurants nearby, as well as a market and ATM. I would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic. Beautiful Balinese home with gorgeous sparkling pool, so comfortable and set up with everything you could want for your stay with a family. Location is fab - short walk into the main street to warungs, shops, ATM and massage, and the snorkelling right out the front is brilliant. The grounds are beautifully maintained and lush. The staff are so kind and attentive, and Wayan Su is a fantastic source of local knowledge and recommendations. Thank you Nengah and Wayan Su, we loved our stay and will come back for sure.
Our stay at this beachfront villa in Bali was truly exceptional; waking up to the soothing sound of waves and panoramic ocean views set the tone for a relaxing getaway. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast featuring fresh tropical fruits and our dishes of choice. The staff’s was very dedicating assisting with excursions like a boat trip and helping with transport. The villa itself was very nice, offering direct access to the beach where there was coral. We highly recommend this place.
The location is excellent, with great snorkelling and turtles right outside the front door. Lots of restaurants close by. Very comfortable house with lots of relaxing spaces. Comfy beds. Very helpful and friendly staff, on hand at all times if needed, but not hovering. We highly recommend this lovely Amed home and would love to come again.
The villa was charming and nicely furnished but the biggest attraction was that it was right on the water on Amed beach. Wonderful view and great for snorkelling. The food from chef Nengah was very good also.
Bali beach house is simply stunning. The home, the location, the friendly and wonderful staff made our holiday just so perfect. Nengah was great to communicate with, prior to our arrival, giving comprehensive and clear instructions and advice for our stay. I highly recommend Bali Beach House for the most relaxing and wonderful holiday in Amed.
Nengah's has a magical place. We really enjoyed our time there. On the first night we went snorkeling right in front of the house and spotted a turtle!! The staff were so kind and helpful. Nengah made us dinner one night which was super delicious. He also organized us a scooter and a boat for a snorkeling trip which picked us up right outside our door on the beach. The only thing that surprised us was, around the top of the house it is all open which had us worried about mosquitos but using the nets and spray at night worked great. The sunrises were magical and we will forever remember our time here.
A true beach house in a great location. A rustic open plan building that connects well with the pool, garden and beach. Good snorkelling right in front of the house. Travellers need to note that only the bottom and top rear bedrooms have air conditioning, the rest of the building including the top front bedroom does not, but it is open to fresh breezes and the sound of the sea. Wyan the senior Vila staff member does a great job of organising anything you want including transport to & from the Villa, scooter hire, laundry etc. Villa staff are excellent. Nengah is an excellent cook and as a result the food at the house was very good. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you to Nengah and the staff of the Bali Beach house.
An amazing villa with all the bells and whistles when it comes to amenities. It is just beautiful, cozy and really well planned out.
We hebben 6 nachten mogen overnachten in deze prachtige vila. Het was echt een geweldige ervaring. We waren samen met mij 6 maanden oude zoon. Wat echt een heerlijke vergaring voor ons was. Met name dat er voor je gekookt werd, je direct toegang hebt tot het strand. We hebben ook erg genoten van het zwembad en de goede zorgen van de staf.
Experience incroyable!! Un moment hors du temps dans une maison d'exception. Nous avons eu beaucoup de chance de séjourner dans ça lieu magique que je recommande à tous pour une évasion garantie ! La gentillesse du personnel sur place nous a également beaucoup touché! Toujours à l'écoute, disponibles pour vous conseiller et vous aider sur place, un sourire authentique. Enfin laissez vous tenter les yeux fermés avec les repas cuisinés et préparés sur place, une merveille !!
Nengah's place was awesome and exactly as described. The pool and gardens are beautiful. The house is big and spacious with great hot water and water pressure. It is literally right in front the Pyramids dive and snorkel site (one of the best in Amed). All the staff are so friendly and helpful. It is totally up to you if you would like total privacy etc. They did the garden and cleaned the pool everyday. My mum said her in-house massage was excellent too. Everything can be organised for you from transfers, meals, trips, laundry and ironing or you can be totally independent. They also ask if you want housekeeping etc. I really liked the upstairs room that had no AC as the fan and breeze were so nice. This house also felt like a home - so do not expect it to be like a hotel in absolute prisitine condition. It has a lovely vibe with everything you need. I would 100% stay here again if visiting Amed with my family.
The villa is homey and comfortable with a great pool and unbeatable absolute beachfront location. The staff are great and they make a delicious breakfast. We had several dinners as well which were all really tasty. Wayan, the manager, was always available to assist with anything we needed. The only concern I would mention was the upstairs bedroom. As it was open to the ocean the bedding did get a bit damp, which was not very comfortable. The two other air-conditioned bedrooms were much more comfortable and the kids loved their room with oversized single beds. This is a really lovely family villa.
Ett vackert hem som sköts av diskret, hjälpsam och omtänksam personal. Otroligt vackert upplyst på kvällen, men eftersom flera rum är delvis öppna ut så föredrog vi att hålla släckt för att inte få in myggor. Likaså ordnade vi myggnäten runt sängen innan mörkrets infall och åt middag före solnedgång på terassen för att inte besväras av mygg. Vi hade med oss myggspiral som vi tände under bordet. A la carte frukost med rikt utbud alltid färskt lagat. De lagar middag om man vill. Middag kostar 150000 / pers för ett urval av rätter och tex lite glass till dessert. Det kändes tryggt och behagligt att äta hemma! De använder alltid flaskvatten för att göra is, tvätta frukt och grönsaker och fylla på tandborstvatten. De lagade mat till en hel armé så vi åt knappt hälften och vågade tyvärr inte spara resterna till lunch. Vi fick be dem minska maten till hälften. Dryck tillkommer en cola 15000, i affären 7000. Rekomenderar Apenista fridykning och blue earth village yoga mm. Allt på gångavstånd
Very happy with our stay. The staff were incredible, very polite, friendly and always helpful. Perfect location, walk right out onto the beach. The place has everything you could need, plenty of books and games provided, pool toys, snorkelling gear etc. lovely food. So many different spots throughout the property to relax. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants/cafes.
An amazing house, where we made a lot of wonderful memories. Amazing to have the reef and snorkeling on our door step.
Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans la villa de Nengah; le jardin qui ouvre sur la plage et un spot de snorkeling idéal (pour voir les tortues!) les espaces de vie et la piscine spacieuse, les services (préparation d'excellents repas) impeccables, . 3 choses à noter (mais qui ne nous ont pas dérangé): la climatisation est disponible uniquement dans 2 des chambres, les salles de bains sont extérieures et des travaux en ce moment dans le bâtiment d'à côté (très peu de bruit ou de dérangement) Merci à toute l'équipe, très disponible et aux petits soins, qui a également contribué à rendre ces quelques jours inoubliable!
Wonderful stay with terrific staff, delicious meals and very inviting pool. A rustic and comfortable house, it was very difficult to leave!
Fantastic location for snorkelling and incredible value with very personalised service. The in house meals were particularly good, and no more expensive than eating out. The staff were unobtrusive, giving us our privacy and space but keeping the villa clean and stocked. The pool was really beautiful and there were plenty of spaces for people to relax individually with a view and the sounds of the ocean. We had amazing in house massages. The construction noise next door was minimal. The place is rustic and basic and a few things in need of repair, which didn’t bother us at all. We would definitely go back. The only downside is that the snorkelling is so good that other tourists take up residence outside the front gate on the beach and we regularly had people peering over our fence!
This is our second stay here and was fantastic. The staff are amazing and attentive. Nothing was too much effort for the staff and they accommodated all our needs and requests. The house is the perfect beach house with its rustic charm and beautiful gardens just steps from the sea and the wonderful snorkelling right outside your doorstep. Will definitely be back again and would not hesitate to recommend.
Dit is een prachtige villa! Mooi open gebouwd zodat je de zeewind binnen kunt voelen. Met veel smaak en aandacht voor details ingericht. Het personeel is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en effectief.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est magnifique, authentique et décorée avec goût. Les personnes qui viennent aider sont adorables et toujours prêtes à aider. Nous avons pris les dîners qui étaient excellents et très copieux. En sortant du jardin on est directement sur un spot de snorkeling où nous avons vu toutes sortes de poissons et des tortues. Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement.
La maison de nengah est pleine de charme, spacieuse avec un très beau jardin et une piscine entourées de frangipanier … un rêve. Même si cela ne nous a pas gêner il faut savoir que la route est juste à côté et un peu bruyante en journée. De même un hôtel est en construction juste à côté de la villa. Malgré cela nous recommandons cette belle villa unique à amed idéalement placé sur la plage et juste devant un magnifique spot de snorkling !
Wat een fantastische plek! Heerlijk huis, aan het strand, prachtig snorkelen, fijne tuin met groot zwembad en bovenal zeer vriendelijke mensen. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, zowel in de restaurants in de buurt als vooral ook thuis! Top ontbijt en heel fijn om om het terras lunch of diner te eten!
The operation co-runs an excellent Café, so you get to enjoy the superb food with an even better view. Get them to prepare dinner when you arrive (fish satay was particularly delicious)! Breakfast follows suit, the Lak Lak is excellent. Our host Wayan was super proactive and managed to organise a transfer to North Lombok last minute too. Views of Agung are nothing short of spectacular. A really nice rustic and warm atmosphere, 100% worth it!
La maison sur la plage est magnifique ! un beau jardin, une piscine de rêve, juste sur la plage et en face d'un spot de snorkeling où l'on a vu à chaque fois des tortues, des barracudas et une multitude de poissons. nous avons aussi mangé plusieurs fois à la maison: très bon!. mais ne commandez pas le fameux babi suckling à moins d'être 10 car il s'agit d'un cochon entier!!! merci à toute l'équipe de Nengha
What can I say about the beach house, other than "what a place"!! we've travelled a lot, and staying in quite a few villas and air bnb's and Nengah's beach house stands out as amongst the best place of them. From the moment Wayan picked us up in the airport, to the moment we left, we felt so comfortable and at home in the beach house. The photos are lovely, but the reality is even better. The staff are all amazing and have the perfect balance between being available and giving you your privacy also. Nengah and Kadek's cooking is immense, from beautiful breakfasts to some of the best Indonesian food that we had on our trip for dinners. The beach house is very special, and we were very sad to leave. I truly hope that we will come back to see you all one day soon, but if we do we will make sure to stay for longer this time!
Le logement est SUPERBE. Mieux que sur les photos : une villa balinaise, ouverte sur la mer, à 2 pas de la plage avec un jardin fabuleux (parfaitement entretenu), une piscine de rêve... La vue depuis les chambres ou le jardin sur la mer est à couper le souffle. Les lits sont confortables : tout est équipé pour passer un séjour parfait. L'emplacement est aussi idéal : à l'entrée d'Amed pour faire de la plongée ou comme point de départ pour de nombreuses visites... ou profiter de la mer et du cadre. Mais il faut SURTOUT parler du personnel de la maison qui est au petit soin pour vous : les repas servis par Nengah sont délicieux (le petit dej ou alors les diners ou dejeuner en option) dans le cadre paradisiac. Tous sont gentils, à l'écoute de vos demande de conseils, ils s'adaptent aux enfants.... Vraiment PARFAITS ! Un tout grand merci à toute l'équipe qui en plus de garder le jardin et la maison incroyable, font de votre séjour un moment mémorable ! On reviendra !!!!

We loved our stay! Nengah, Wayan and the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and always there if you need them but with the layout of the house you don't even realise that they are there. The private house layout was perfect for our family. 2 young kids up stairs in the bedroom near ours and the teenager downstairs in the 3rd bedroom. Snorkelling right out the front was perfect with kids. We even got to see a turtle! Sunset's from the house are magical - the cabana in the front is perfect for sunrises and we didn't miss one! Kids absolutely loved the pool and the grass area was used for mini soccer games. The food provided was delicious, and completely up to you each day with regards to if you want lunch/dinner provided in the house or if you will dine out. You just need to confirm the costings on arrival so not to be surprised at the end. Wayan's wife gives the best in-house Balinese massages - we had them daily! Highly recommend her. We will certainly be back!

We fell in love with this villa & the whole team that took great care of us! Everything was as expected and even better. Step out of the backdoor and you are directly on the beach. Take a few more steps over the sand into the water and you have a great coral reef directly in front of you. We were so happy the team provided us with free snorkel equipment. We definitivly had the best time ever in Amed. Thank you so much!

Nengah and his extedned staff and family were the best hosts one can find. They go about of their way to make you feel happy, at home and yet give you lots of privacy too. They are so dedicated to keep the Bali house beautiful and for you to have a very nice time. They provided transportation from the Airport to Amed and for other destinations as well. They are truly a family working together to make sure our stay was the best it could be. We definately will recommend and stay there again. We were sad to leave!
Jolie villa devant la mer, l'accès à la plage direct de la maison. Le jardin et la piscine sont très bien entretenus, il est très agréable de se reposer dans le jardin après une sortie snorkeling. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil et accueillant. Le petit déjeuner et le dîner sont très bon. Ma famille a passé un excellent séjour chez Nengah. Meilleur villa de notre voyage à Bali.
Geweldige tijd gehad. Mooie rustige villa waar je mooi kan snorkelen. Ga 10 meter de zee in en je zwemt met schildpadden. Het eten was super goed (alleen een beetje prijzig) nengah en personeel waren super betrokken, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik raad iedereen aan om hier te komen!
Emplacement idéal pour cette maison, juste en face d’un spot de snorkeling où nous avons pu observer chaque jour poissons et tortues. La chambre côté route est un peu bruyante mais l’ouverture sur l’extérieur de la maison fait aussi son charme. Les repas proposés étaient très bons et les boissons fraîches disponibles sont appréciables. Merci à toute l’équipe pour leur gentillesse.
We (family of five) had an amazing stay at Nenga’s Bali Beach House in Amed. Would highly recommend to both families and couples for the house offers a beautiful private garden with pool and direct access to the beach in 30 meters of which the reef begins. We swam with sea turtles just in front of the house! The lush garden is full of flowers and birds and a cool breeze comforts you when reading on the large outdoor bed or in the hammock. The staff was super friendly and always willing to help - but not pushy or overly present. Manager Wayan proved himself to be a great guide talking us on a tour one day and also sharing about life on Bali as he drove us to our next destination. Airport pick up went perfect - highly recommended. Breakfast was great and the Barracuda Nenga grilled for us on night two was just amazing. Nenga and his team were super welcoming and open - also to the kids. We felt very much at home and would more than warmly recommend!! 🙏🌴👍🏼❤️
We loved our time staying here- we wanted something very relaxed and found it here in spades. Having the ocean/reef out the front and a great swimming pool on the property was perfect. We had Nengah cook for us most days and it was just perfect to relax in our own space.
We had such a lovely time at Nengah’s house. The staff are friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The location is wonderful, directly on the beach. The garden and pool is lovely. I highly recommend you have meals cooked for you by Nengah, we had several delicious feasts. Wonderful grilled fish. The breakfast was lovely too. The area is quiet and peaceful, and feels off the beaten track. We had a massage therapist come to the house daily which was a real treat and lovely to distress after our long journey. I cannot fault our stay. I hope I can come back again soon.
Wir wurden von der Fähre abgeholt und ganz herzlich empfangen, haben uns sofort wie zuhause gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist wundervoll idyllisch und in echt noch viel schöner und größer als auf den Bildern zu erkennen ist. Der Pool hat meinen Kindern am besten gefallen, ich war beeindruckt von dem grünen, blühenden Garten und den tollen Möglichkeiten sich niederzulassen, ob oben auf dem Balkon oder unten im Garten stets mit herrlichen Blick auf‘s Meer. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit dort und haben jeden Morgen den Sonnenaufgang genossen. Das mit so viel Liebe zubereitete Frühstück und Abendessen war etwas ganz besonderes, uns fehlte es an nichts und wenn ja, hätte man es für uns besorgt. Das ganze Team ist so super nett und zuvorkommend. Mit Wayan haben wir einen ganzen Tag verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten besucht und er hat uns am Ende von unserer Zeit in Amed auch nach Ubud gefahren, woraufhin wir auf der Fahrt gleich noch einen Fledermaus Tempel und Wasserfall besucht haben.
Smuk privat villa, der ligger perfekt ved vandet og i gåafstand til butikker, restauranter og indkøb. God snorkling lige udenfor på stranden, hvor vi så masser af fisk og havskildpadder. Hvad der især gjorde opholdet godt, var det fantastiske personale på stedet der hjalp med stort og småt, samtidig med at det var meget privat. Villaen blev holdt rent og ryddelig, og de serverede morgenmad hver morgen. Villaen er åben, så man skal kunne leve med at være lidt tæt på naturen, men vi vænnede os hurtigt til det. En stor tak til alle i Amed Beach Villa for et dejligt ophold.
This house and the wonderful team of staff made our holiday in Amed so perfect. The house is great, even the room with no air con is cool enough with the lovely sea breeze and fans. The pool was EXCELLENT, our two and four year olds loved it. I recommend everyone staying here use Nengah as their chef for at least one meal a day. We had lovely meals of chicken sate (cooked in front of the kids, much to their delight), grilled barracuda, pork ribs, salads and the best lumpia/spring rolls I’ve ever had. Thank you to the whole team for a very memorable stay

Wonderful location to walk out directly onto the beach to snorkel. The staff were all exceptionally kind and helpful, and the food was outstanding. We recommend the car service from Denpasar. The ride to the bnb is a beautiful tour of Bali and the driver gives great descriptions of the landmarks. Deserving of all the fantastic reviews it has gotten.

Wayan was very nice with us. Always coming and going to check if we need something. All the staff are very nice people, just all people we meet in Bali. The villa is very nice and the location is great! Beautiful view from the volcano and amazing snorkeling right in front of the villa. I would go back again!
We enjoyed a wonderful three nights at Nengah's house in Amed. Our kids loved the pool, we loved the beautiful gardens and grounds, and the great snorkeling immediately outside the house (Nengah provides snorkel gear which means you can go in and out of the water as it suits you) and the convenient location (though it was noisy at the time due to street works). The staff are wonderful and always available if you need them. Breakfasts on the terrace are so tasty and a beautiful setting, and we had dinner prepared for us twice, too. The house is a rustic style but also dramatic, and full of charm, with beautiful traditional elements. It is suited to someone who wants to embrace inside/outside living and a character-filled place. If you're scuba diving, we recommend Adventure Divers which are very close.

Best location in Amed. Coral reef just off beach directly in front of Villa - sea turtles, coral, tropical fish it all there - bring own snorkels if you can. Best food in house - included breakfast was great finished off with special touches like homemade bread, homemade banana bread and mango jam. Staff were really friendly, helpful and non intrusive. Just need an air conditioner in upstairs bedroom as no seabreezes in late December. Warings 50m either side of you serving good cheap food. We ate in 2 of the nights and it was a delicious feast both times.
Wonderful stay as always . This is our second visit and won’t be the last. Just so peaceful and such a beautiful house. All of the staff are so helpful and bend over backwards to make your stay just the best experience ever . Big shout out to Nengah for being an amazing host and fabulous chef cooking an exceptional Christmas dinner, Kadek for her wonderful banana bread and last but by no means least - Wayan for driving is around so we could actually venture out of the house this time and see Amed ! Thank you again such a wonderful stay . We will be back !
We absolutely loved our stay at Bali Beach House. The location is incredible (couple minutes walk to our favorite dive shop Adventure Divers and amazing snorkeling right outside the house). The staff is very friendly and helpful, particularly Wayan Su who can help you with anything you need. The house is even more magical than photos can capture. A true gem in Amed!
Amazing place, we loved our stay here. The breakfasts every day were wonderful as was having our choice of Nengah’s great cooking in the evenings. All the staff were lovely but special mention to Kadek who was so helpful and made us banana breads and different cakes nearly every day. The location being on the beach with views to Mount Agung was beautiful, but having access to the coral reef straight outside our back door was honestly breathtaking. We snorkelled most mornings before breakfast with sea turtles, it was magical. There’s a great cafe nearby called Rimba which our kids loved. We also had excellent massages a few times from Wayan’s wife who came to the villa. Utterly relaxing and just an incredible setting. Thank you!
The beach villa was lovely, we could walk out the back and be right there on the beach. The snorkeling was wonderful and the reef is right off the back. If you go in the morning before the current picks up you can snorkel all the way around to Jameluk Bay. It takes about an hours. There were all kinds of restaurants very close, we especially loved Rimba Cafe. The villa was very private, an enclosing wall cuts off noise from the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were excellent and they were happy to arrange transport for sightseeing, trekking up Mt Agung, and scooter rentals. The garden had bougainvillea arbors, chairs for lounging around the pool, and a big gazebo daybed with views of the ocean. It did get very hot in the middle of the afternoons but you could float on the pool toys, take a cold shower, snorkel, go get a massage in an air conditioned spa, or just hang out in one of the two AC bedrooms. We had a great time with our family.
This was our second stay at the Bali Beach Villa. Our family of six absolutely loves this place. Plenty of space for everyone. Lots of spots for quiet or private time. A beautiful pool, surrounded by tropical foliage. It is ocean front with beautiful live coral gardens directly out in front of us for fabulous snorkeling, calm waters, very safe. The made to order breakfasts are delicious and homemade Indonesian fish Dinner can be arranged. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely be coming back again. Paradise. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Nengah’s place was even better than we could’ve imagined! Wayan picked us up from the airport and was an absolute delight. Nengah arranged our dinner to be served after our arrival which was delicious and very welcome. We ate breakfast at the house every day and several other meals which were all fabulous. Lots of choice and also very happy to provide special requests. The house was a dream! So comfortable, with many areas to relax. The beds were comfortable and the outdoor bathrooms were divine. The pool was the best I’ve experienced in Bali. Perfect temperature, plenty of shade from the lush gardens. Nengah and the staff were so very accommodating and helpful and also very unobtrusive. Wayan took us out for a couple of day trips. He was a pleasure to spend time with. The position of the the property is unique in that just out of the purple gate on the beach you can watch the sun rise over Mt Rinjani and then set behind Mt Agung. I’d highly recommend a stay at Bali beach house!
We can’t wait to come back, Wayan, chef Nengah and the extended staff were so attentive and informative but also gave us the privacy we wanted. Food was delicious, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the villa as the kids loved the food as much as we did. Great variety. Host Wayan was the best, we can’t thank him enough and can’t wait to visit again next year for longer! If you are looking for 5 star luxury, this isn’t it, this Balinese villa is rustic with beautiful bedrooms and day beds throughout to watch the sunrise, it has so many added extras. It is however all about the location. We can’t wait to book again, thank you 😊 missing Amed already

Excellent séjour dans la magnifique maison de Nengah, certainement la plus belle d'Amed ! Accès direct à la plage, spot de snorkeling parmi les plus beaux d'Amed. Outre de magnifiques coraux et poissons multicolores, nous avons eu la chance de voir à plusieurs reprises des tortues juste en face de la maison. Hôte charmant, toujours souriant et équipe aux petits soins. Nous avons dîné à la maison tous les soirs tellement la cuisine de Nengah est délicieuse, bien meilleure que celle des restaurants aux alentours. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir dans ce petit paradis !

Das Bali Beach House war ein Erlebnis für sich. Nengah und das ganze Team kümmert sich jeden Tag rührend um alles. Wenn man etwas braucht oder etwas möchte, ist immer jemand zur Stelle, das Essen ist fantastisch, klar Nengah ist Profi gewesen. Schnorchelzeug ist im Haus und man kann direkt ins Wasser. Alle sind zuvorkommend und stets freundlich. Kurz um, es ist wie eine kleine Familie, in die man sich binnen kürzester Zeit integriert hat. Jederzeit gerne wieder.
Superbe emplacement donnant sur la plage, snorkeling Top avec des coraux en face de la maison et nous avons eu la chance de voir des tortues chaque fin de journée. La maison très belle avec une magnifique piscine pour les petits et les grands. Du matériel de plongée disponible. Le staff très gentil avec les 3 Wayans et les 2 demoiselles ils sont présents pour vous et Nengah avec qui les échanges sont très agréables c'est un super hôte. Les diners sont top pas la peine de sortir. Merci à Nengah et à son staff pour ce moment inoubliable
Amazing place! Nengah and his team were wonderful, made us feel very welcome and more than happy to help. Shout out to Wayan who picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at our next stay. The house was exceptionally clean, walking distance from lots of Restaurants and the back gate opened onto the beach at one of the popular snorkelling areas (snorkel gear was free to use). Highly recommend and look forward to when we can come back!
Nengah and ALL of the staff treated us like royalty. And like family. I am actually a bit sad now that we’ve left. I’d like to recommend to friends and family but I don’t want them to take MY future bookings!
Staying at the Bali Beach House is just pure bliss. From the moment you arrive, you feel relaxed. It is calm and peaceful. Nengah and all the staff are caring, friendly and cannot do enough for you. The house is spotless and the gardens are so beautiful. We enjoyed all our meals at the house and the servings are generous and value for money. We honestly did not want to leave this slice of paradise! Cannot wait to visit Nengah and the team again soon.
This was such a gorgeous villa and location right on the beach. Beautiful garden , pool and seats to read on. The staff were amazing ; so so lovely . They cooked awesome breakfast daily, aswell as kept the villa beautifully clean. There were the best coffee beans to use at leisure with a very well equipped kitchen. Flavour of the meals we ate in the villa were amazing too. Cant recommend this place enough!

Nengah’s accomodation was amazing. We had a wonderful holiday in Amed. Snorkelling outside our gate was incredible with turtles and many many fish. Wayan and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always available when needed and very quick to respond to any questions.

Beautiful villa right on the beach! The staff was very kind and friendly and prepared us a delicious breakfast very morning, also the guys that came every mor ing to clean the pool and the garden were very nice and friendly. Nengah cooked dinner for us tiwce and it was amazing!! Totally recommend booking at least one dinner with him. Overall, a vwry pleasant stay in a beautiful setting!
My second visit to the Bali Beach House, a beautifully designed and lovingly furnished house directly on the beach in Amed. We traveled with our two young children (ages 2 and 4) and were thoroughly taken care of by the lovely staff at the house. We swam in the sea and pool everyday, and while Kadek (on staff) babysat our kids we snorkeled and SCUBA dived. Finally, the meals served reflect Nengah’s training as a chef and are some of the best we ate in all of Bali. Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous stay at Bali Beach House. Of all the places we visited in Bali so far, Amed was our favourite and the house just made it an amazing stay!! It was beyond my expectations and the photos don’t do it justice! We felt so at home and relaxed and so well looked after. The staff are helpful, friendly, polite and happy!! Nengah cooked us an evening meal a couple of times which was absolutely delicious, and great value. We would highly recommend and would love to return there some day!!!!

Our stay at the Bali Beach House was amazing. The staff did a great job, they were attentive, but not intrusive. The snorkling just outside the house was great. They had alot of snorkeling gear that we could use, even suitable for the kids. The pool was of a good size. We ate at the house a couple of nights. The food was good, but a bit expensive, especially for the kids who are not big eaters. The house is open living, so expect a few bugs. I’m not that big a fan og bugs, but it really was no problem. There are good mosquito nets for all of the beds. Two of the bedrooms have aircon. The third room has fans. The location of the house is on the main street of Amed, but on the eastern tip of the beach. There was live music playing from the next door restaurant a couple of nights, but the music ended at 22.00. Not a big problem, but not as quiet as we would have wanted. All in all a great stay at a great place! Thank you for having us.

The pictures do not do the place justice! WayanSu picked us up (great driver!), the rest of the staff waited at the house: Nengah and his wife Putu, Wayan (garden), Wayan (pool) and Ketut (breakfast and household). Nengah must be, truly, the best cook in Bali and we have tried quite a few! The kitchen is the most complete kitchen we have ever seen, a chef's kitchen. Staff was very discrete yet always available and made everything we desired for breakfast; we also dined at "home" nearly every evening because the meals were just so delicious. The house was very complete, the free snorkelling gear was much appreciated (great under water views right in front of the house!-bring water shoes), the pool located in the beautiful garden was a treat. The best spot? The bale: view of the beach and sound of the sea, lying in the shade, feeling the sea breeze. We already miss this amazing place, we will definitely be back. Nengah, everyone: until we meet again, hopefully soon! Suksma!!

We loved our 4 night stay at Bali Beach House. The house has a lovely relationship with the garden so you could get the full benefit of the sea breeze and can listen to the waves crashing on the shore. The staff were friendly and the pool was gorgeous and there are lots of wonderful hanging places. We only ate dinner at the house on the first evening, as we like to try different places, but the meal was had was great. The breakfast each morning was good although missing the home baked bread. Given Airbnb is all about booking a place, rather than service, we found the tipping guide unnecessary and it made us feel a bit uncomfortable with the staff as they seemed to be expecting a tip. Overall would highly recommend this lovely house as a place to stay in Amed.

What an absolutely fabulous place. Everything about our stay was perfect. Firstly , the location is stunning, the best part of Amed with incredible snorkelling on your doorstep. Secondly, ,The house is beyond expectations.. it is truly beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice - it’s beautifully well kept and the decor is gorgeous. Thirdly - the staff are just wonderful- so attentive but give you your privacy - and finally - the FOOD.. we actually had breakfast lunch and evening meal at the house - Nengah is just an amazing cook - so why go anywhere else ? So all in all I wish we had stayed longer and we will be back ! Thank you so much !
Beautiful beach front spacious villa in the heart of amed. Close enough to walk to nearby restaurants, cafes, spas and dive shops- everything is at your door step. There is beautiful coral and snorkeling right outside your doorstep and the most epic scenes of mount agung from the villa. The villa is clean and the gardens immaculate, the pool lovely and everything is tended to on a daily basis. We did not have our rooms or bathrooms cleaned during our stay but I think this came down to miscommunication as we declined cleaning on the first night after we checked in and they thought we had meant for the entire stay. Staff are eager to please and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible so just need to be clear with things like this. Wayan the manager is a very lovely man who arranged pick up and drop offs from airport and locally around amed, always with a smile. Komang and Nengah cooked the most amazing Indonesian food. We went out a few nights but in the end preferred to eat in as the food was delicious! Breakfasts included was also of a high standard. I had Bali belly towards the end and wayan made Jamu for me to ease my stomach which tasted amazing and worked a treat! One small issue we had during our stay was handled swiftly and professionally by the team and we are thankful for this so that it won’t be a problem in the future. In regards to previous comments regarding the staff being around too often. We did not find this to be the case. They cooked breakfast and dinners and maintained the gardens till about 9am, however the rest of the day the villa was free from staff and we were able to freely enjoy our time. I think that if other travelers found them to be around to much then you just need to let them know and they will give space. Upstairs front room by far the best in terms of balcony and views but defiantly in need of air conditioning like the other two rooms as way to hot even at night. Thank you to nengah and especially wayan and the rest of the team we had such a wonderful stay.
The villa is very beautiful, and the location right next to the sea was perfect for us as we love to swim and snorkel. There was plenty to see as well - lots of coral, fish, starfish and even a turtle! The garden was lovely to relax in too, with lots of seating and different areas to sit. We just chilled out in the house but there is a good collection of bars and restaurants within strolling distance if you want variety. Everywhere closes quite early as it is mainly divers who hang out here (they can't drink too much before diving) so come expecting relaxation not partying! The East of Bali is really beautiful and largely unspoilt, which we loved. Highly recommended

The Beach Villa Bali in Amed is a wonderful oasis! Located right on the beach in good snorkeling spot, the house has a charming Balinese-Colonial style with wonderful views from every window and from the fantastic first floor balcony. We, a family of four from Germany, were particularly impressed by the extraordinarily beautiful pool with a view of the volcano and the beautifully landscaped garden. We can recommend this accommodation without reservation! Only the specification of how much tip is expected bothered us a little. The very friendly staff held back so much that we felt very free and private.
Nengah is very welcoming and cooked for us some delicious local food. The house is very near the beach with a private entrance to the beach. We did see turtles when swimming in the sea in front of the house. The house is beautiful and spacious. The pool is very nice. There a 3 bedrooms and one has no AC.

What a magical place! First the location is perfect as it's situated between Amed Beach and Jemeluk bay making it easy to access both areas by foot. But most importantly is the fact that it's directly on the beach. Every morning we would get up and just step out on the beach to watch the sunrise or make coffee and watch from the terrace attached to the upstairs bedroom. And the sunset view of Mt. Agung is breathtaking. Honestly, my girlfriend teared up on our first night there. can sit on the beach or pull up to Warung Bobo only a few meters away and grab a bean bag, bintang and even live music on some nights. Also, you can snorkel just directly from the beach in front of the villam. The place itself is very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The garden and pool are beautiful and perfect for lounging. staff were very friendly, made amazing breakfast and dinner each day as well as arranged in house massages for us. If you are looking for a tranquil place to spend the holiday which has a little something for everyone, this is the spot.
We stayed 10 days in this magical place. everything was great from the staff to the house itself to the pool and the beds :) We stayed with our 2 very young kids (10 months and 2.5 y/o) and they went above and beyond to accomodate the house for them. The food was amazing, we barely ate outside of the house. The snorkeling just outside is really really good, loads of fishes and turtles. I even saw dolphins one morning. I definitely recommend this place :)
Bali Beach House has the most awesome location, right on the beach of Amed with a view of Mount Agung. With 3 bedrooms, it is a fabulous place to stay for a family or a small group of friends. It is fully services by a friendly staff, it has a lovely pool, loungers and a daybed in the garden with fabulous views. We just finished our tenth stay here so, as you can imagine, we can highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing stay at Nengah’s property. Perfect location right on the beach, spacious, clean and stunning. The staff are attentive and go above and beyond for their guests, including for us, rushing our kid to the local GP clinic after an accident! We didn’t think we would, but we ended up eating at the villa ever night because Nengah’s cooking was so good! We would absolutely come back again and stay here.
The Bali Beach House is perfect-- what a lovely place to spend a few days or a even a month! Right on the beach off the Pyramid Dive site, so great snorkeling, but very secluded and private, with lush beautiful landscaping surrounding the villa. The pool is clean and inviting. And after the first dinner provided by Nengah, we did not eat at a restaurant our whole stay. He is a trained chef, and a wonderful cook. The whole staff took very good care of us, including booking us a trip up Mt Batur, with a 2 am departure. We are sad to leave.
We had such a wonderful and magical stay at the Bali House, with credit to the the wonderful care of the team who looks after the villa. The food was so delicious and the villa a true oasis. It felt like a dream. I'm so glad we travelled to North Bali and had this experience in this special place.

If you are lucky enough to stumble on some open dates for this house, RUN to book it. A total gem of a place. The pool, the garden, the beachfront access, the volcano views, the cooking (you won't get more authentic Balinese food than this) just make for an incredible stay. This was my 4th stay by the way.
We loved our time at Amed Beach from the moment we met the kind Wayan who picked us up all the way in Jimbaran and drove us the 2.5 hours to Amed Beach! The villa far exceeded expectations. While Amed is very quiet and tourism has not returned (yet), we really didn’t need to leave the villa. Nengah made beautiful meals and the staff made themselves available anytime to take us around. It was really an experience like I have never had at an Airbnb. I highly recommend Amed Beach for families who just want to relax, easy snorkeling on the beach outside, and the kind and thoughtful touches by the staff.

Fantastic!!! Our expectations of a beach house stay were blown away! If you want to feel what it's like to be rich and own a beach house, this is it. A beautiful property on the water front and a well designed home. The staff were there to help us with everything we wanted and waited on us hand and foot. The meals were top notch and Wayan showed us his skills as a chef with every meal presented. He is proud of his work as he should be, everything tasted excellent. The location is really good, as it is in the center of Amed. We enjoyed the sunrises in the mornings and the sunsets at night, as well as the constant sound of the waves hitting the shore. We look forward to coming back to Amed and staying here again with our new extended Amed family, which the staff have become
This is an awesome Airbnb in an awesome location. The place is huge and has so much character, we loved going to sleep to the sound of the ocean, snorkelling every morning before a delicious breakfast. The sea is about 10 ms away from your gate and the snorkelling is great. The pool is wonderful and the staff team do everything to make your stay comfortable. Nengah cooks great local food - so don't hesitate - just book it quick !!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Bali Beach House. The property is beautiful and the view of the volcano is splendid. Walking right out the property gate to go enjoy some snorkeling was a highlight. But what really made our time here great was the incredible staff who took such good care of us, this includes Nengah's delicious dinners!

Komang looks after guests extremely well and she has a very friendly and efficient personality. Food was excellent. The vegetarian curry and tempeh dishes were superb. Location is ideal for Amed, right on the beach yet not noisy, especially during these COVID times. The place is clean, notably the bathrooms, with nice fluffy towels provided. The two bedrooms facing the sea are very nice indeed. Swimming pool is relatively large and very relaxing.
The villa is gorgeous - so many nice touches and it is designed to celebrate the views of Mt. Agung and the ocean, right on your doorstep. The snorkelling out front was excellent. The staff were warm and welcoming and helped us when we needed masks, fins and other items. The homemade bread in the morning was a really nice touch as well! We hope to come back soon!

This house is amazing. Such a charming place, with high ceilings and lots of light. The swimming pool is fantastic - very big, clean and set in lovely gardens. The house is located right on the beach - so we fell asleep to the sound of lapping waves each night. The team at the house are so helpful and hospitable. Our twin toddlers fell in love with Komang, who was so kind and caring to them. Nothing was too much trouble. It couldn’t have been better. We would return in a heartbeat!
Bali beach house was the reason we came to Amed, and suddenly fall in love with the place, the staff . Its a home away from home. Komang, wayan breakfast, wayan manis, wayan fisherman, and wayan bagong are all very friendly and helpful (yes they are all named wayan. Lol). Even Komang is suitable to become a supermodel for my bussines Mikhadou! 🤪. The staff are waiting for our arrival in front of the house. Yes, in FRONT! Wow, wow, wow! This house! We have stayed in hundreds of Airbnb’s and this one is one of our family favorites! Great location, amazing feel, and seriously one of the best chef’s in Bali! I want to keep this place a secret spot just for me! I look forward to hearing the sound of the ocean and feeling the ocean breeze while I sleep With the doors wide open. We all felt so safe and secure. I look forward to the delicious breakfast made by Komang. Her home made rosella jam, lak-lak (made with fresh home made coconut milk) and delicious ground coffee from Kintamani. It’s a home away from home with access to an incredible beach with beautiful reef for snorkeling, Freediving or scuba. Located close (within minutes) and easy to my favorite Rimba Cafe, Blue Earth Village (incredible sunset views and yoga classes) Green Leaf Café and the best Freediving program - Apneista is 500 meters away. The staff are delightful - allowing space but being right there if you need anything. Oh and if you need a scooter - they will arrange one for you at the best price in Amed. Yes - I go to Amed often hence why I want to keep this place a secret spot for me!
Oceanfront villa is exactly what this place is. The 3 bedroom villa felt like a rustic, charming, mini mansion meets boutique sanctuary. Kitchen downstairs was perfect for a night owl like myself that needed to brew tea at night... the staff made sure to be super quiet during breakfast (prepared in the same kitchen with the doors closed). They also gave us space when we needed it and the owner lives in the compound adjacent to the villa. So staff are always there / on standby - but not in your space (face). We saw stunning sunsets from the villa and upstairs balcony and the beach. Mt Agung is literally - right there. The AC worked so well in two of the bedrooms. The third bedroom had a fan with the sound of crashing waves - so idyllic ... it has put my partner to better sleep, who suffers from insomnia. The villa is superbly located next to 3 diving / free diving spots - a cool new cafe called Kimbra next door - a supermarket with everything you need - and only 10 minutes drive on motorbike to Jemeluk Bay for pristine snorkelling.
This was my first time to Amed - and gosh i am so glad i found this gem of a place. What a beautiful space and of course the people are just wonderful. Our house was right on the beach - so nice to hear the waves at night. We simply stepped out of the gate and there we were - stretches of beach to the left and right and snorkelling fun right on the door step. The house was terrific. Clean, spacious, and a home. I had an outdoor Balinese bathroom that i loved. Bedding was incredible and we had the most comfortable pillows and quilts and sheets. We had breakfast each morning, that we just loved, ,whatever we wanted. Fresh fruit, eggs, Laklak (oh yummy!). After only a day we decided to eat in every night - because the cooking was EXCEPTIONAL. We had the team choose for us - and every single night was a meal that was incredible - even from them collecting the freshly caught barramundi from the fisherman at the front of the house. The last night they shared some of their tips and tricks and recipe's which i now have. The best part about this trip (and i have been to Bali many times) is that the team and Nengah especially made us part of their 'family'. We were able to enjoy their company and our banter very much and that become very much a part of our holiday. The team were always around if we needed, but gave us space when we were on our own - they totally understood where we were at, but also ensured we pretty much did nothing and they would do everything for us. it was a really special time for my friends and I as we really felt that we had made new friends on that trip. Nengah is THE MAN in Amed - and knows everyone, everything and anything - and if he doesn't he finds out for you. We had in-house massages that were incredible, and a few special tours to snorkel and explore. This is a trip and experience that will fill your travel bucket, tick the box for relaxation and down-time, and touch your heart with the kindness of your hosts.
An ideally situated house beautifully designed to enjoy air and light. The house and garden is surprisingly private despite its location right on the beach. A great team of people are always close by if you need any help.
The hospitality, friendliness and experience were wonderful. If your purpose is to relax and do not much at all then this is a place for you. If your kids need constant activity and stimulation, perhaps adjust everyone’s expectations before arriving! The team will do their best to accommodate you. We didn’t do snorkeling due to poor visibility conditions. There were lots of insects and mosquitos (which is expected for this time of year) so come prepared. The house is beautiful and carefully designed to bring out the best that rural Bali has to offer.

Onze familie van drie kleine kinderen en twee volwassenen hebben met veel plezier verbleven in Nengahs villa. De locatie is perfect en er ligt een heel mooi koraal voor de deur met veel vissen en zelfs soms een schildpad. Het eten was super en alle medewerkers waren heel lief voor de kinderen en behulpzaam. Het is heerlijk om boven te slapen met de ramen open in de zeebries. Enige punt van aandacht is de rooklucht die er s’nachts vanaf 2300 uur hangt vanwege afvalverbrandingen in de omgeving. We looked at the map, before booking. We have never heard anyone going to Amed and that is why we decided to go in the first place, away from the busy streets of Bali. After spending some days in UBUD, Nengah's driver promptly picked us up from UBUD to take us to AMED and to this beautiful paradise almost lost in time. Nengah's accommodation is top class: what more would you want but a 24 hour swimming pool, a seaview to die for, the reef 20 metres away with such an amazing variety of fish and the warm sea water, a very quiet little city, the incredible friendliness of all the people that help Nengah to look after this magnificent place and how about the food? Nengah can cook a storm and it's incredibly good! Very healthy and quite affordable. We are looking forward to coming back already. Thank you so much everyone at the villa in Amed! Thank you!
Nengah’s place is. Hidden gem. If you are looking for the hustle, bustle and glamour of downtown Seminyak or Canngu then this is not the place for you. This however, is something else... Location: if you are looking to wake up in a beautiful, traditional open-air Balinese house, with the early morning sun turning the gargantuan Mount Angu volcano a glowing pink, and the sound of waves lapping on the beach outside your door... then this is the place for you! Not to mention that the reef is steps away from the house. Snorkeling: You don’t even need to step into the water to see the incredible diversity and number of sea life here. We have snorkeled and scuba-dived at numerous places on the Great Barrier Reef and suffice to say we were wowed by what we saw here. Our adult children also dove at the Liberty wreck and said it was some of the best diving they had done! Food: Nengah’s food lives up to it’s reputation. It is hearty, traditional Balinese cooking that kept us well-fed and very happy. We were fortunate enough for Nengah and his team to cook us a traditional Balinese ceremonial Babi Guling feast where they cooked the suckling pig in the bush land across the road from the house - AMAZING! Hospitality: simply exceptional - we suddenly feel like we are part of the family. Overall, that’s how we would summarize Nengah’s place - like we had the privilege of staying in a wonderful traditional family holiday home. Only word of warning for conservative travelers - being a traditional Balinese home it is open-air which means a few bugs and only 2 bedrooms have aircon - but you’re in Bali - it’s always very warm!!!
We enjoyed our stay at the Beach House which had superb access to the ocean and volanoe views through the garden gate. Simple walk-in access to fantastic snorkelling on a small reef was a bonus. Our small children easily enjoyed snorkelling with the fish in the calm waters. Highlight was seeing so many large sea turtles. We loved the daybed for sleeping and reading stories with the kids. Wayan and staff went beyond expectations to help our family celebrate two birthdays. This included beautiful flower displays, delicious meals with in-house freshly caught fish and despite our rural location customised birthday cakes!! Wayan Senior is a talented fisherman too. Thanks for a warm and friendly stay.

You can’t go wrong choosing this villa for your stay on Bali. Amed might be off the beaten track & a fair distance from the airport but it’s well worth the extra effort for somewhere special. We arranged travel through Nengah from the Airport, including a day sightseeing around the area plus onward travel to our next destination Villa in Ubud, all air conditioned & very easy pick up from the airport. Hassle free & the best option due to the Bali traffic chaos. Quite eventful journeys but so glad we didn’t have to drive ourselves. The Villa is so private & well laid out & the staff can’t do enough to help you enjoy your stay. We had all our meals cooked for us & was absolutely top quality & good quantities, good move on our part & would recommend fully. The beach is made up of black sand & pebbles & very clean with stunning sunset views of the volcano. The sea is like a warm bath & the snorkelling is incredible only 50M off the beach. Has to be the best area around as lots of people head for this area on foot whereas you just step out of the gate & swim straight out to the reef. Very safe swim but the current does pull you a small amount either way depending on tides. The fish are so colourful & even got to see a big turtle up very close. (Do not touch them) we leave germs that harm them. Just drift on the surface & they will stay right alongside you & even come right up to your face mask “amazing creatures” Back to the Villa & the only room with air con is the lower Double room. Really comfortable sleep without Mossi bites!!!! Also available for a small fee is an early morning fishing trip with one of the staff in his outrigger canoe. Not to be missed as the spectacular coastline comes into view as the sun rises is so special. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world!!!! All in all, this Villa is a must stay. We are definitely booking for a longer stay next time. 10/10
This is such a lovely house. It has been a highlight of our holiday. The staff are so lovely. My kids had a great time. The beach at your door is fabulous. If I come back I’ll try to stay again, but I think the word is out as it’s busy!
Bali Beach House is Fantastic! And it was so awesome to be able to rent scuba gear straight from the Villa and walk onto the beach and go straight out to some decent snorkeling! The house is so comfortable and relaxing we loved our stay here! The pool was outstanding and the views of the sun setting behind Mount Agung were fantastic! There are endless little spots to sit at this Villa and have a nice cup of Tea or your morning Coffee. We had Nengah cook for us 2 nights and we definitely enjoyed our meals... plenty enough food to have as leftovers for lunch the next day! We stopped in Amed at the half way mark of our 2 week Vacation and It was nice to have a break from the Craziness of Seminyak! Even though Amed is off the beaten path and definitely a lesser developed area it was tranqqel and had some awesome healthy food restaurant options! Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time and experienced outstanding hospitality. Nengah has a small Warung above the property and we can highly recommend his cooking. They don't use single use plastic straws and try to be as environmentally friendly as possible. No single us plastic water bottles either. Komeng cooking breakfast every morning to a very high standard was one of many highlights of the days. She brews coffee from beans, bakes her own bread and her banana pancakes are just divine. Everything was delicious. The beds are comfortable, the staff looking after the villas super friendly and engaging. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The open air bathroom provide enough privacy through screening. Snorkelling right out the front of the gate, swimming and looking at Mt Agung during sunrise are unforgettable experiences. We will be back. THANK YOU.
Bali Beach House is perfectly situated to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the volcano. Within steps from home, some of the best snorkeling can be reached. We really appreciated how close the snorkeling was...it made it easy to do everyday. The pool is amazing - large, clean and perfect to cool off and play around in. Having breakfast included was such a bonus and a perfect start to each day. Komang made the most delicious banana pancakes that we all miss already. All the staff were always up for answering any questions that we had. Overall, Bali Beach House was a perfect place to make our home for a month and was a great way to show our kids the real side of Bali.
The best location - views of the ocean and volcano; snorkelling straight off the beach (with turtles) and a beautiful house. Lovely dinners cooked by the happy staff.
Pictures don't do this place justice. Amazing location and hospitality. Snorkelling out front is fantastic... No need to jump on a boat anywhere... Just bring reef shoes for the rocks on the beach. Spent many an hour on the Bali bed out front which overlooks the beach. Breakfast is provided daily and you can also opt to have lunch or dinner cooked which we did a few times.... Even opted for the suckling pig which the meat eaters in the party assured me was the best they had ever tasted. Staff are lovely all the Wayans and Komang could not do enough for you. Even Daisy the dog is really friendly... Hint she loves lying with you on the sun loungers!!!! We will be back and are recommending to our friends and family.
The place is gorgeous, the staff and helpers wonderful but not at all intrusive. The head chef is great. Ask him to make a meal for your companions.

The Bali Beach House is amazing! There is nothing this place is lacking. It checks all the boxes you need for a phenomenal Balinese holiday! Beautiful beachfront villa, big pool, lots of places to lounge, amazing food, incredible snorkeling feet from the villa. But what really makes this place is the staff. You are made to feel like family and anything you need they will deliver with a smile. The staff truly goes above and beyond to make your stay at Bali Beach House a wonderful and relaxing experience!
Het huis en de locatie oversteeg al onze verwachtingen. Het is een oase in Amed vlak bij het strand met koraalrif vlak voor de deur. Je hoeft maar een paar meter de zee in om de koraalpiramiden als snorkelend te bewonderen. Het huis is een zeer authentiek aanvoelend Balinees strandhuis, dat zeer ruim aanvoelt. De bedden zijn van goede kwaliteit, wat toch ook heel belangrijk is en twee van de drie kamers hebben airco. De derde ligt aan de zeekant en heeft een grote plafondventilator. Omdat het huis heel open is en vlak aan zee ligt, is dat ook voldoende. De tuin is verder prachtig en het zwembad is voldoende groot. Groter dan het op de foto's lijkt. De staf (de vier Wayans en Komang) bestaat uit vijf personen die allen zeer bescheiden, vriendelijk en behulpzaam zijn. Ze zijn er echt voor jou en als je iets wil doen kan je ze alles vragen, komen ze met goede tips of regelen ze alles voor je. Het is ook zeker aan te raden om als je een excursie wil, snorkeluitrusting wil huren of wil gaan raften, dit door hen te laten regelen. Dan weet je zeker dat je voor geen vervelende verrassingen komt te staan. Nengah is verder een topchef. We hebben de hele veertien dagen in het huis gegeten en Nengah heeft gekookt. Uit ervaring kunnen we zeggen dat we nergens beter hebben gegeten en het is dus zeker aan te raden omin het huis te eten .We hebben de vakantie afgesloten met een babi ruling meet de hele staf en familie.m
We first stayed at the Bali Beach House Amed in March 2018 and found the experience so memorable that we vowed to return. We did so in April 2019 - this time with our extended family. Once again, we found the property remarkable and the service of Nengah, Komang and the extended staff faultless - truly above and beyond. The views of Agung are spectacular, the diving straight out the front is superb, and the swimming pool is exceptional. The staff looked after our every need - arranging snorkelling gear, motorbike hire, spa bookings, transport, and even a birthday cake! The meals Nengah cooked for us were as good, if not better, then the top-rated TripAdvisor restaurants in Amed. Nengah’s ‘cooking class’ showed us how his family communally prepare their traditional Balinese recipes, and Komang even taught our daughter how to make daily offerings. Our time in Amed was, once again, the highlight of our trip to Bali. We cannot recommend this house, its staff, and the location highly enough!
This home is absolutely perfectly located opposite some of the best snorkelling in Amed, such a treat to be able to walk straight out of the gate and into the ocean. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside area and pool. Nengah, Komang and all the Wayans made the stay very comfortable and assisted us with hiring equipment, booking the fast boat etc. Would definitely recommend this house.

Bali Beach House is simply the best place to stay in Amed. We picked this knowing we wanted to be off the beaten path and start our trip in Bali in a peaceful, low-key location. If you are looking for the wild and crazy night life of Kuta this is not for you. If you want to feel like you just got done with a massage but the peace of that feeling lasts all day long, then look no further. The home itself is simply spectacular - spacious, open air, breezy, and always the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Lovely pool and outdoor sleeping area where you could lounge all day with a good read or game of scrabble. A thoughtful and interesting bookcase full of volumes on Balinese culture as well as some fun summer reads. If not for the fun explorations during the ceremonial day before Nyepi with Nengah and his family, we literally had no reason to leave this peaceful and beautiful haven all week, and truly felt no need to! We actually had 100% of our meals the entire five day stay we were in Amed, and I don't think there is anything that could have been better than the fresh, local, unbelievably delicious fare prepared by Nengah and his crew. When they say "same like family" they aren't kidding - this was our first time to Indonesia and our introduction to the beautiful, warm spirit of Balinese culture and hospitality. We left feeling like we have another home. Thank you , Nengah, Komang, and the four amazing Wayan's! Recommend without hesitation.
The Bali beach house in Amed is truly outstanding. The grounds and pool are lovely, the beautiful black sand beach and amazing snorkeling are right outside your gate. Meals prepared by the chef are KNOCKOUTS. We loved every meal. The staff is fun, courteous and kind. You can request more privacy from them if you wish. They helped arrange trips to see different sights (waterfalls like Sekumpul and the water palaces). With their help- our stay was easy and peaceful. The house is beautiful and feels like a “home”. Plenty of room for multiple people, although we only had two. Amed is located in one of the most beautiful rural areas in Bali that I have seen. If I return, I will stay in Amed again, and skip the south completely. Plenty of warungs and restaurants to eat at within walking distance, and great dive shops (Bali Adventure). You definitely get to see more of how Balinese live here.... it doesn’t feel as commercialized and certainly isn’t as busy and hectic as the south. This house is one of the most beautiful homes I’ve vacationed in- it truly is a home away from home. We can’t wait to return!! Thanks again Nengah and staff <3

Bali Beach House is a spot of paradise nestled on the beachfront in the little village of Amed in the north east corner of Bali. The house itself is stunning with well appointed rooms, beautiful furnishings and little thoughtful touches all throughout- there is a gorgeous pool and lush garden around the house not to mention the beach and the Bali sea that form the back yard for the house. The house is designed to welcome the ocean and the outdoors inside and you can feel the ocean breeze and hear the crashing waves in every corner- truly remarkable space. We had a group of 8 people and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax, chill without ever feeling crowded (and the wifi strong to easily support multitude of devices within our group). There is amazing snorkeling/diving in the waters right outside the house and you can spend hours looking at the beautiful corals, fish, turtles in the waters right outside. There are a few other highly regarded dive, snorkel sites (e.g. Japanese wreck, US Liberty wreck short walk/drive away )- if you love diving, snorkeling or even fishing for Mahi mahi- this is the place for you. One of the best parts of Bali Beach house was the food!! We ate all our meals here (other than a couple lunches and one dinner when we were sight seeing in other parts of the island). There was always plenty of fresh fruit, fresh pressed juices, delicious french press coffee, homemade breads and of course "Bintang" beer to go with the amazing spread of mouthwatering Balinese/Indonesian delicacies put out by Nengah and his crew. They readily accommodated couple vegetarians in our group and I can't say enough about how delicious the food was- the meals were served family style in the outdoor dining room on the porch where we ate delicious food, feeling the ocean breeze while being treated like royalty by Nengah, Komang, Wayan and the entire crew. Nengah is truly a super host he arranged for us to see the local sights in Ubud, monkey forest, rice paddies, coffee plantations, wood working shops and an evening performance of "Kechak" and fire dance. He also arranged trips to the beautiful water palaces, a river rafting trip and a visit to the amazing Mt. Batur along with trips to a couple choice snorkeling spots. There was big local festival "Galungan" happening during our visit- Nengah dressed all of us up in traditional Balinese dresses and took us to the local temple and his family home to participate in the ceremony - we felt like we were part of his family this was a truly special and unique experience and insight into the Balinese culture. Nengah and his family, Komang, Wayan and rest of the staff were always there with a big smile and we could feel the genuine warmth and hospitality in every interaction, they were always accommodating, attentive without ever being overbearing . If you want a true "Bali" experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city- the amazing hospitality of Nengah and the Bali Beach House are it- you will not go wrong.

This is a return visit to Bali Beach House, so we obviously love it! Booked very last minute (the night before) and Nengah accommodated this seamlessly. The pool has just been re-built, and is nicer than ever. The sea was clean and clear and we saw lots while snorkeling right in front of the house: lots of turtles, nudibranchs (our daughter has the patience and eye sight to find these beautiful but tiny creatures), eels, lovely coral, and more kinds of colorful fish than we saw last time. Nengah learned our daughter liked Balinese traditional desserts, and the staff spent each morning teaching us how to make different desserts (there a dizzying number of things you can do with rice or rice flour, coconut and palm sugar, with banana or jackfruit or pumpkin). Wonderful hospitality. Our home away from home.
This villa, the crew and Amed completely blew our minds! Absolutely stunning space, inside and out! Komang made our stay here so social. All of the Wayans were incredibly nice and accommodating. Nengah is the man! Thanks Chef! Truly amazing stay here. Thank you to the whole crew!

Expect to feel pampered but in an authentic sincere manner....expect to eat AMAZING food by the chef....expect to get the best local prices on all tours and rentals....Expect to come back over and over and over!
Loved staying at Nengah's place on the beach. Perfect for snorkeling, relaxing, swimming, eating & allround rejuvenating! Lots of places to eat, see, atm's, wander about! Everyone looked after us and we had no issues at all! The snorkeling was the highlight..saw turtles!!! Nengah and Komang are great cooks too! We looked forward to breakfast every day! I highly recommend Nengah's home!! Will hope to be back.
The location for this beautiful villa is fantastic. Steps from the beach, we routinely exited through the back door to the beach, snorkeled in the ocean for a bit, and then returned for a reading break. Nengah's family and the staff do stay on the property, but they're very good about giving you space if you'd like privacy. We were on our honeymoon and never felt bothered by their presence. Quite the opposite in fact, as they were all very friendly and helpful. The food was also delicious. Breakfast is included in the price, but I also suggest purchasing an in-home dinner or two while there, as the food was among the best we sampled in Bali. Overall we'd love to return some day, but likely with more people! It was a pretty big house for just the two of us, but it's hard to turn down given its incredible value.
Paradisiaque!! Nous avons été merveilleusement accueillis par Nagah et son équipe. On se sent vraiment comme à la maison. Nagah est hyper réactif sur les demandes que nous avons pu avoir. Transferts, visites, ... Il est également un chef cuisinier hors pair et il nous a régalé avec ses plats balinais. Toute l’équipe est aux petits soins et tellement souriante.... Le lieu est idéalement placé, directement sur la plage avec accès direct à l’aquarium géant (poissons tous aussi colorés les uns que les autres, tortues, coraux, étoiles de mer...) Pour les plongeurs, l’accès se fait également par la plage (je conseille Baruna Dive Bali, petite structure francophone très sympa) On pense déjà à y revenir ...

What a truly unusual home this is. Created by an American architect in a dreamlike Balinese style, it takes your breath away. The care takers are just that: they will care for you in every way- should you need great food, great company, privacy, independence, support, etc. it's all there. II have traveled to many places and stayed in many airbnbs. This home is the stuff of dreams. Book it.
It doesn't get much better than this! Great location, right on the beach. A shaded and private pavilion overlooking the sea if the beach is too hot. The best snorkelling around right in front of the house (the dive boats bring their guests to this reef). And Nengah's cooking is incredible: here is a former restaurant chef cooking private meals for you; Balinese, Indian or Western food. The staff are welcoming and respectful, and Nengeh's Balinese family live on site: just close enough that you feel you are in Bali and can engage if you wish, but far enough away not to intrude or disturb if you prefer. We had plans to do lots of other things in East Bali, but once we'd walked through the door, we didn't go out until we left at the end of our stay.
Thank you for three of the nicest days we had on our two months stay in Bali. The warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. Our daughter spent most of her time in Nengahs house playing with the kittens and his sons. Excellent food. Komang makes delicious breakfasts, the pancakes are seriously yummy, and Nengahs evening meals a worth staying in for. Not to forget the stunning house. Full of charm we fell into the massive chaise, turned everything off and listened to the waves for days!
This is an exquisite place, with a great, pamparing staff, at a great location. As great as it looks in the photos - the reality is much better. Its a huge house, with a private pool and garden - all to yourself, with a staff of three or four that look after you and the house. The house itself is beautifully architected and furnished, most all from wood. The free breakfast is great - with local or western dishes. Lunch and dinner can be ordered with a variaty of great dishes. We are strictly vegetarian, and enjoyed great dishes. I have not stayed in other places in Amed, but it would be hard to beat this one. A true paradise.
Right from the start our experience with Nengah and the team from Bali Beach House was amazing! I was able to communicate with Nengah from New Zealand before we arrived in Bali which made me feel secure and comfortable about our stay in Amed. Nengah answered all my questions quickly and honestly before we arrived. I was able to arrange pick up from Seminyak which was about 3 hours away from Amed, for a good price. Our driver Wayan arrived on time with a friendly smile and we knew we were in good hands! We were able to stop at a couple of places on the way and I highly recommend a stop at Tirta Gangga Water Gardens if you are coming from South Bali. It was stunning. When we arrived at Bali Beach House we were blown away with the house! It was far better than we even imagined and definately THE BEST place we stayed in in Bali throughout our trip. We were welcomed by the whole team when we arrived, and our bags were swiftly transferred to our rooms. There was even a fresh welcome drink and cold towel for us which was a lovely treat! Breakfast is included in the price and includes your choice of cold fresh juice, choice from the menu (I loved the balinese pancakes and my teenage daughter fell in love with the little lukluk cakes), fresh local fruit and a large plunger full of strong hot coffee! Lunch and dinner is available for an additional price and it was great value and more than we could eat. Nengah prepared all our meals with the care and attention of a five star restaurant. We enjoyed all our meals on the patio while listening to the sounds of the sea. Lunch was 50,000IDR per person (about $5NZD), and dinner was 100,000IDR each (about $10). Lunch was whatever we wanted from the menu, and for dinner we let Nengah decide what to treat us to- but it was always an array of about 4 plates of food which we helped ourselves to, followed by fresh fruit. We are quite big eaters and there was more than enough to eat! The house is absolutely STUNNING and there were 3 bedrooms. My teenage daughter took the downstairs room with double bed with air conditioning that also had her own private terrace out the front for her to sit when she wanted her own space. She also had her own full bathroom with a lovely outdoor shower. I took the upstairs master bedroom which had little vents around the top to let in the fresh air and beautiful sounds of the ocean. There was no air conditioning in this room but there was a ceiling fan which I found perfectly fine to cool the room down. I went to sleep each night listening to the sounds of the ocean which I found very relaxing. I also had my own private bathroom and shower, and my own outside...
The Beach House in Amed is amazing. My partner Cate and I had the good fortune to fit in only (unfortunately) 2 nights at the beach house. We wished we could have stayed longer. The house is stunning and the staff are lovely. The Garden and the calmness of the place are a dream. We wandered the beach and snorkelled and ate and slept and watched the sunsets and generally basked in the glory that is the `Beach house' We hope to one day come back and share this beautiful place with friends.
Nengah’s property is the best kept secret in all of Bali! We spent time traveling all through Bali and it was the most incredible of all the beautiful places we stayed! Nengah and the rest of the staff are incredible! By the end of our stay they were all like family! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with smiles, a home cooked evening dinner, and a perfectly clean home. The beds were very comfortable and luxurious, we fell asleep to the calm sound of waves rolling against the shore every night! There is SO much space in the property! It fits 6 people with plenty of space and room for everyone to relax. The yard and pool were incredible. It was rare in Bali to find a property as large as this one in a single compound that was private and didn’t share the pool! It was so nice to have a clean spacious pool all to ourselves! The sun beds and veranda were so nice to relax in and just enjoy. Now let’s talk about the meals! We never ended up eating anywhere else!! Nengah’s cooking is incredible! He made some of the best tasting local food and was able to cook all different cultural styles as well! Not only that he let us join for cooking classes (for free, which were quite expensive paid experiences everywhere else) he would teach us local cooking skills and recipes! Breakfast always consisted of beautifully presented fresh and local fruit, homemade smoothies and freshly cooked main courses! Dinner and lunch were also out of this world amazing and delicious! I could go on and on! The last part that made this property truly special was the ocean right outside the back steps! If you enjoy snorkeling this is the place for you! During the late afternoon many tour companies drive their local skiffs over to drop their guests just behind the house. (Do not get the idea this makes the place overly crowded, because it definitely doesn’t) but it goes to show this is perfectly placed in front of some of the best local (and beautifully healthy and colorful) coral! Just bring tour own or have Nengah rent a mask, snorkel and fins for you and you are set up! Anything you need Nengah and the staff are there to take care of. A couple things they arranged for us: rent a scooter, rent snorkel equipment, setup dive trips, book massages in the garden, cooked all our meals, drive us to all the palaces and rice terraces nearby, took us to the local markets. All of those extras were INCREDIBLY affordable for the USD. We were amazed. When we come back (which we will for sure) we will likely only stay in Amed away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax, play, and eat with Nengah! He will forever be our dear friend in Bali!
The Bali Beach House is a great place to stay in Amed! It is like having a hotel for your self with staff preparing breakfast, and serving you lunch and dinner if requested. Also very helpful getting you equipment for snorkeling and transportation for trips. Komang is the best with kids, she is the sweetest person. Nengah lives in a house on the location, if you need him for any questions. So it’s not a private house in the normal terms of Airbnb, but I am sure you can request the privacy you need. The house is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful garden and pool. There are three bedrooms (mind that one of rooms do not have AC), and a lot of space for a family. We had a great stay - Thank you, Nengah and everybody at Bali Beach House!
We spent 3 unforgettable days at Bali Beach House. Villa and the surrounding area have surpassed all our expectations, along with the hospitality of the Nengah and his staff. Beautiful spacious villa, beautifully landscaped garden, swimming pool and closeness to the beach, blown us away. Nengah, Komang, Wayan and others were at our service at all times, always with smile on theirs face, fulfilling all our wishes and arranging everything, from massages to trips to the surrounding rice fields and temples... After a pre-arranged dinner on arrival, we decided to eat all our meals in villa and gave Nanegh open hands to feed us with his delicious Balinese food. We are thrilled to experience Bali Beach House and would highly recommend everybody to stay here if one are planning to visit Amed.
We booked the Bali Beach House whilst on a romantic anniversary holiday in Bali. Upon arrival, we were blown away by the beauty and standard of the property. This gorgeous house perfectly blends Balinese tradition and western convenience. The established garden is a lush oasis – private, secluded and secure - yet still offering stunning views of the ocean, Mount Agung and the Amed coast. The grounds include an epic bale (day bed), a number of outdoor dining settings, and the best private swimming pool we encountered in Bali! The property is uniquely situated in Amed such that it has both sunrise and sunset views. Absolute waterfront, you open the front gate and are literally on the beach. The coral reef that sweeps between Amed and Jemeluk Bay is straight out the front and offers amazing snorkelling. Hosted by Nengah, the property is staffed 24/7 from a separate building within the compound. The staff offer you complete privacy but are never more than a moment away should you need anything. Filtered / mineral drinking water was provided. A delicious breakfast was provided each morning – fresh juice and coffee, something cooked from the menu and a fresh fruit plate. Our host Nengah used to chef in Ubud and we graciously accepted his offer to prepare meals for us during our stay (for a very nominal charge). His traditional Balinese home style dinners were fresh and excellent. Our hostess, Komang, was so very warm and welcoming. She used her local networks to arrange everything for us - snorkelling gear, boat trips, transport. Literally everything can be taken care of, should you wish. The uniqueness of this remarkable property, coupled with the outstandingly warm hospitality of Nengah, Komang, and the Wayans, made our time in Amed very special. We are already planning our next trip back to Bali - to show the rest of our family this amazing property!!!
