Exploring Beachfront Luxury Dome Villa #1 - Gamat Bay Resort left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Beachfront Luxury Dome Villa #1 - Gamat Bay Resort was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Nusa Penida plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Beachfront Luxury Dome Villa #1 - Gamat Bay Resort painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Very hard to locate and reach the location, its very tiring and according to price the service was not provided, we have to carry our own luggage to place and also no safe walkway to hotel from parking, no in room service provided.
The place was very clean and easy to check into, but it was quite remote and lacked privacy. We also had to hire a car to do anything outside the room. Although the room itself was nice, the overall experience was just okay.
We had a lovely and restful stay at Gamat Bay Resort. The setting is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and very relaxing, the perfect place to switch off and unwind. The staff were extremely helpful, attentive and responsive throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The road leading to the resort is definitely a little challenging, but the local taxi drivers seem to know exactly what they’re doing and handled it without any problems. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and loved the beautiful, tranquil setting.
Esperienza nel complesso ottima ma ci sono un paio di cose che andrei a rivedere. - Siamo arrivati alla struttura tramite motorini visto che l’accesso con le auto era limitato. Purtroppo non ci è stato fornito nessun casco nonostante il percorso era estremamente impegnativo da affrontare. - Manca la macchinetta del caffè, secondo me essenziale visto che quando abbiamo cercato di prendere un caffè il ristorante di fianco era chiuso. Il problema, secondo me maggiore, era che di notte non siamo riusciti proprio a dormire, sia perché l’ultimo giorno è mancata continuamente la corrente (notificata poi questa cosa dal gestore) ma sopratutto perché ogni singola sera c erano dei cani in spiaggia che abbaiavano tutta la notte, tutti i giorni. Abbiamo preso questo airbnb per un po di tranquillità ma purtroppo non è stato al 100% così.
Absolutely unforgettable stay and experience. Best snorkeling in the world. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Ultimate Glamping experience with great food and great restaurants nearby. Our only problems came from staying in the jungle. The foliage was dead above the bathtub made us not really want to use it.

Putu and all other staff were very friendly. The accommodation is good but the furniture was not very comfortable, especially the bed... so hard! The warung was very good with friendly, helpful staff. It was a shame to lose power on 2 of the 3 nights I spent there, especially because no power meant no meals! The beach was so beautiful and I saw turtles and lots of beautiful sealife. Mornings were best for calmer water with swell and currents increasing in the afternoon. Also, it gets busy with visiting snorkelling boats. Overall, I enjoyed the stay but a few improvements could make it worth the price.
The location was fabulous nice and secluded away from lots of tourist.

The location was beautiful and being able to snorkel directly outside of your villa is very neat! Overall the experience was great!! The only downside is not necessarily a downside to this resort but to the island in general - the infrastructure and roads are very poor and it was a bit scary at times getting to and from the villa. One driver that wasn’t familiar with the area dropped us off way before the parking lot because he said the road was too dangerous. Again, not necessarily the resorts fault but something to keep in mind if you get motion sick or nervous on drives with heights

Le logement est super ! Il donne accès directement sur la plage et s’endormir avec le bruit des vagues est très apaisant. Nos hôtes ont été adorables et très accueillants. Ils ont été réactifs pour répondre à toutes nos demandes . Il faut juste souligner qu’il y a un petit chemin pour accéder à ce havre de paix qui est un peu « difficile » mais en faisant attention tout se passe bien.
Mon logement préféré de toute mes vacances à Bali. Une vrai pépite. Mieux que sur les photos. La décoration est magnifique, j’avais peur que la tente soit mal isolé ou laisse trop entrer la lumière, enfaite tout est très bien conçu. Le jacuzzi est top bien chaud et les équipement pour faire du snorkling sont fournies. Le services est impeccable et a su répondre avec efficacité à toutes nos demandes. Merci
Wunderschöne Unterkuft, der Service ist super, immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Unser Aufenthalt war einfach perfekt. Der Jacuzzi ist ein Traum. Das Badezimmer sehr beeindruckend. Aufjedenfall weiter zu empfehlen!
Putu’s place is stunning! Pictures don’t do it justice. Don’t worry about steps/road. It is worth it. Villa 1 has best unobstructed view. Beautiful room, incredible terrace, and gorgeous bathroom. His team is exceptional with first rate response and handling luggage with pulley system. Restaurant next door is great and so is Amok Sunset and Dabha delivery to your room. Only drawback is lots of boats for snorkeling 9-4. However, after that place is urs with sunset, star gazing, walking on private beach. Our favorite place on 3 week Bali trip. Make sure you arrange transportation with Putu since some taxi won’t come all the way down. Massage through Putu is also amazing!
One of the most beautiful villas we’ve been to. Everything is just like in the photos; we recommend going to the nearby restaurant, which the transfer takes you to.

El alojamiento en esta ubicación fue un acierto total. Si bien el acceso es algo complicado, ellos te transportan en scooter a donde haga falta. Las vistas desde la terraza son increíbles. Y poder ver el amanecer y atardecer desde tu cama, es un lujo. (Y dormir escuchando las olas del mar..) Si tuviera algo que mejorar es el agua caliente, que no duraba mucho encendida y su temperatura era menor a lo esperado.

wirklich wunderschön. man kann beim hauseigenen strand mit schildkröten schnorcheln und hat eine wunderschöne unterwasserwelt. es war ansonsten sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet.
Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Gamat Bay Resort und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Die Lage direkt am Strand der Gamat Bay ist wunderschön und perfekt, wenn man Ruhe genießen möchte. Das Resort ist nur mit dem Roller erreichbar, aber das freundliche Team holt einen bei Bedarf am Car Check Point ab – von dort sind es nur etwa 5–10 Minuten. Unser Zimmer war groß, sehr sauber und gemütlich. Nachts hört man das Rauschen der Wellen, was die Atmosphäre besonders macht. Direkt vor der Unterkunft kann man wunderbar schnorcheln und viele bunte Fische sehen – mit etwas Glück sogar Schildkröten. Ein großes Dankeschön an Putu und das gesamte Team für ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft und die schnelle Hilfe bei allen Fragen. Direkt nebenan gibt es außerdem ein sehr leckeres Restaurant. Wir können das Gamat Bay Resort uneingeschränkt empfehlen!
10/10 perfect place to stay on the island, very clean and staff are awesome and very helpful for any thing you need. Bonus snorkelling gear included to walk out the front door of your villa and go snorkelling where a lot of tours take you. close to harbour and restaurants, 1 minute ride to amok sunset resto! Highly recommend!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Putu. L’emplacement est vraiment idéal et parfait pour le snorkeling. Des masques, tubas et même des palmes sont mis gratuitement à disposition, ce qui est très appréciable. Le spot juste devant le logement est magnifique et de nombreux bateaux viennent toute la journée pour profiter du snorkeling. Petit conseil pour les futurs voyageurs : lorsqu’il y a de fortes vagues, il faut faire attention à ne pas perdre son masque et son tuba. Nous recommandons aussi de prévoir des chaussures d’eau car les coraux peuvent être coupants. Merci encore pour l’accueil et ce superbe séjour, nous recommandons cet endroit avec plaisir !
Der Aufenthalt war traumhaft schön! Es war sehr abgelegen und man hatte seine Ruhe. Der Ausblick traumhaft schön. Wir haben jeden Abend den Sonnenuntergang im Jacuzzi verbracht. Die Straße zum Resort ist sehr schlecht und man muss einen kleinen Abstieg machen aber wenn man Ruhe will und eine Bucht fast für sich alleine haben will, nimmt man den Weg in Kauf. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen!
Absolutely in love with this stay! We instantly regretted leaving and wished we could have stayed longer. The view and the overall vibe were truly mesmerizing. Having direct beach access made the experience even more special, and the snorkeling equipment available in the room was a great touch. We’re so glad we chose this place — honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Nusa Penida. Would definitely visit again!

This villa is gorgeous. Know that it is on a road that is out of the way and a little hard to get to, so have a driver, but it’s on the beach and you can literally go snorkeling in your backyard

Cannot recommend this highly enough. Gamat Bay Resort was absolutely beautiful. One of the best resorts we have ever stayed at. The room was 10000000/10 and exceeded expectations. Putu gave my partner a heartwarming happy birthday speech, he was very proud to show us around the resort his family have worked very hard for. Putu was always friendly, ready to help and went above and beyond. From organising our transport around the island to organising breakfast on our private deck from the restaurant next door, each interaction was met with warmth and kindness. We didn’t want to leave and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Putu, see you again soon.
It was even more beautiful than the photos made out, everything was spotless and the surroundings are breathtaking. I can't recommend a stay here highly enough! Putu and the team were so responsive and helpful and nothing was ever too much!

This was an amazing unforgettable stay. The location was beautiful with quiet pristine beach and coral reefs with turtles just outside! The staff were very friendly and accommodated all our requests. The photos match the house and exceeded our expectations! The drive there is far and down a broken road and then a hike down to the beach, however more than worth it! Unique experience for people who want a peaceful and beautiful place to enjoy Nusa penida.
Had an incredible time at the resort, they have everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying there. The view is amazing, the rooms are spacious and well designed. You can go snorkelling every day and see turtles!! We ended up extending our stay there and Putu was nice enough to even give us a free couples massage.
Gamat Bay Resort is a truly beautiful property with stunning interiors and an amazing sea view that instantly puts you at ease. One of the biggest highlights is the direct access to the beach. The only minor downside is the number of stairs you need to climb, but that’s completely understandable given the cliffside location and beach access. Honestly, the view and experience make it worth it. The staff were polite, friendly, and always helpful, which added a lot to our comfort. The property itself was so peaceful and well-designed that we ended up spending most of our time inside the resort rather than going out. If you’re looking for a serene stay with beautiful views and a relaxed vibe in Nusa Penida, this place is absolutely worth it.

Stunning location right on the beachfront, the villas are private and secluded, lovely for a romantic getaway. We celebrated our honeymoon and it was incredible. The island dogs are so friendly and well looked after, was lovely to hear that they’ve rescued all of them.

We had honeymoon here , Overall best place for snorkeling , a lot of steps to get to villa , be prepared for anything , we had power go out , no water for a few moments here , other then that , it’s exactly like the photos . Putu is very accommodating and did great

we had the best time there, close to the gamat bay, we did snorkeling and lot of activities. Omg, the place, I think the best place where we have spent the night. FABULOUS, everything was so well thought of.
Gamat Bay Resort was our first stop in Bali - what a way to set the standard for our trip! Gorgeous accommodations with the private balcony of your dreams. Amazing snorkeling. Putu and all staff were so kind and helpful. The adjoining restaurant was also great. Owner of the restaurant saves dogs and turtles. 100/10 would recommend.

Pas banget buat quality time berdua tanpa gangguan. Dari awal check-in sampe pulang, hospitality-nya oke banget. Staff-nya ramah dan helpful. Kamar juga bersih, wangi, rapi – pokoknya soal hygiene mereka bener-bener perhatian banget. Gamat Bay-nya indah banget, airnya jernih, cocok buat snorkeling atau cuma duduk santai sambil liat sunset. Pokoknya puas banget honeymoon di sini. Nggak cuma sekali sih, udah pasti aku & pasangan bakal balik lagi!
Amazing stay we were sorry to leave after 6 nights. Idyllic location the pictures dont do it justice. The perfect place to unwind and relax. The snorkelling is the best we have seen around Bali. If you dive there are some great dive shops near by with amazing spots round the island. We are already planning a stay next year as part of our honeymoon.
Un logement unique sur une baie très peu fréquentée avec un vue exceptionnelle. Le personnel était au petit soin du début à la fin. Le massage dans le jardin face à la mer est un vrai bonheur. Je recommande ce logement à 100% !

Es war eine wundervolle Unterkunft! Der Ausblick und der Whirlpool waren großartig. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es ist etwas abgelegen, dafür aber sehr wenig los und mit recht viel Privatsphäre.
Super hote, Toujours présent pour rendre service, très gentil et très accueillant comme toute l'équipe. Endroit magnifique par moment un peu trop de bateaux pour voir les fonds marins.

We had the best time at Gamat Bay Resort! The Communication was on point and Putu and everyone else is amazing. The only thing that annoyed us a bit is that right in front our place where a lot of people that took „fotoshootings“. We will definitely come again and we can totally recommend this beautiful place! If you want to see something special and feel the beautiful nature book it! ❤️

Excellent stay!! Location is beautiful and you can snorkel in a wonderful coral reef right in the beach. The property is wonderful and is an indoor outdoor heaven. Very romantic deck looking at the ocean - great for our honeymoon. The staff were so responsive, kind and helpful. Don’t worry about luggage because they have a zip line for heavier bags. Amok restaurant is phenomenal and offers transportation from gamat bay resort. I would really recommend this stay on nusa penida !
Amazing stay – highly recommend! I had an incredible time staying here. The accommodation was amazing and extremely comfortable—everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. Putu was an exceptional host who helped me with anything and everything, from renting a moped to sorting out laundry and even handling the rare minor issue I had with the place. He even helped me carry my bags up, which I really appreciated. The restaurant right next door was a hidden gem—delicious food at great prices. The whole vibe of the place was super relaxing, and honestly, the jacuzzi with the free bath bomb was the highlight for me! If i could rate higher than 5 stars i would! Would 100% recommend staying here. Thanks so much, Putu!

Auch wenn die Unterkunft nicht ganz günstig war, mussten wir hier unbedingt übernachten. Wir haben es definitiv nicht bereut. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt in einer wunderschönen Bucht. Andere Touristen fahren mit dem Boot zum Schnorcheln hierher und wir konnten ein paar Meter ins Wasser laufen und haben Fische und sogar Schildkröten gesehen. Putu war extrem freundlich und war jederzeit für uns erreichbar. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt!
Die Unterkunft bei Putu war einfach wunderschön. Alles war sehr sauber und liebevoll gestaltet, und die Aussicht ist wirklich atemberaubend. Putu ist ein großartiger Gastgeber – freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Putu est un hôte excellent. Il répond immédiatement et propose de nombreux conseils et recommandations. Il nous a dépanné à chaque fois qu’on avait un soucis. Seul petit bémol : nous n’avions pas très bien compris que le service de taxi nous amenait uniquement à des points prédéfinis, alors qu’on le paye à la journée, et plus cher que la plupart des autres services de taxi. Le logement correspondait totalement aux attentes. Les photos sont totalement représentatives de l’endroit, quoique le logement est encore plus beau. Petite note sur le Snorkeling : il faut savoir bien nager avec du courant pour pouvoir se rendre au spot. Enfin, pour les repas, nous avons adoré le restaurant Amok Sunset, accessible avec une navette gratuite depuis l’hôtel et avec des prix très raisonnables et une belle vue. Cependant, le petit déjeuner au café présent à côté de l’hôtel, inclus dans le séjour, était un petit peu décevant au vue du standing global de l’hôtel.
Lieu magnifique, plage paradisiaque avec un récif riche en couleurs et en poissons . Le logement dispose de toutes les nécessités et Putu est très serviable et professionnel. La salle de bain et très belle également . Le logement vaut le coup d’y passer

Das Restaurant direkt am Strand ist vollkommen ausreichend und praktisch, wenn man den Ort gar nicht mehr verlassen möchte (was bei diesem Ausblick leicht passiert!). Das Personal im Resort war super aufmerksam, freundlich und immer ansprechbar – einfach toll! Alles in allem: Wir waren super, super happy und für uns war es das absolute Highlight unserer Bali-Reise. 10/10 – absolute Empfehlung!
Gamat Bay ist wunderschön, super zum Schnorcheln & eine wunderschöne Unterkunft ! Allerdings ist es etwas schwierig dort hin zu kommen, über sehr viele Treppen erreichbar. Dafür war das Personal jedoch super freundlich und zuvorkommend, haben unser Gepäck getragen, waren immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Zum runter kommen, entspannen & schnorcheln ein wunderschöner Ort & tolles Resort ! Können wir nur weiter empfehlen !
My partner and I stayed at the Gamat Bay Resort Dome Room for two nights, and we were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the room. The design was unique and the view was stunning—truly felt like a slice of paradise! While the bathroom did have a few insects, it wasn’t a big issue for us, as we expected it given the natural surroundings. It didn’t take away from the overall experience. We also treated ourselves to a couples massage at the resort, and it was incredibly relaxing—definitely a highlight of our trip. The staff was incredibly kind and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We had two wonderful dinners at Amok Sunset, and the free shuttle service provided made it so convenient for us to get there. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Gamat Bay Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape to a peaceful paradise. We can’t wait to come back!
Wir haben den Urlaub bei Putu begonnen und dieses Erlebnis wird schwer zu toppen sein. Unsere Erwartungen wurden weit übertroffen. Unsere Empfehlung: wer eine private Schnorcheltour zum Manta Point machen möchte und auch gut Essen gehen möchte, fragt Putu! Wir waren 3 Tage hier. Der Abschied fällt schwer, aber wir freuen uns auf Bali und Lombok. Übrigens: Die Bucht vor der Haustür ist mit das schönste Schnorchelriff auf Nusa Penida. Wir hatten die Bucht zu bestimmten Zeiten einfach für uns alleine! Vielen Dank, Putu und Team, für die tolle Zeit bei Euch!
gamat bay resort will my first choice if i revisited this island again in future.. mind blowing place with mind blowing scenatary and resort was located in beautiful location.. everyone like the place
This is a beautiful boutique resort and one of the best I've stayed in. All of the staff is very helpful and polite. Mr Puri is a great guy, very helpful and always smiling. This was a 5 star stay for me but do keep in my mind that it's a boutique stay so don't expect 24/7 dine in services or what not. Me and my wife highly recommend this place. Good job Team Gamat Bay Resort.
非常好，性价比很高，也有餐厅，只是餐厅会关门有点早，但是可以送进房间，服务很好，因为环境很好所以可以位置就比较偏僻，需要走一段陡峭的小山路，不过会有工作人员可以帮你爬上爬下搬行李，所以服务真的没得说，餐厅性价比也很高，房费以及餐厅，都是非常便宜但却优秀的，不可避免会有小虫但是房间内部配备的东西非常齐全，需要自费，零食饮料酒水甚至有香烟和驱蚊液，还是比较好的，夏天白天可能要考虑好因为这个房子形状非常容易让人感觉热，热到要晕过去，所以做好计划可以预定，不过我很喜欢，晚上可以在露台甲板看海聊天抽烟看星星，很幸福。

Magnifique découverte ! L’endroit est superbe, avec une salle de bain incroyable. Le lit est très confortable et on dort paisiblement avec le bruit des vagues. J’ai pu commander à l’avance un accueil personnalisé pour l’anniversaire de mon copain et ils ont su préparer cela et être discret; j’étais ravie. À notre arrivée, la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas et la chaleur était intense mais ils ont pu régler cela rapidement pour une soirée et une nuit parfaites. Le jacuzzi, ultra confortable, nous a offert un moment magique sous un ciel étoilé. La vue sur la plage est sublime, de jour comme de nuit. Il y a aussi plein de choses dans le mini bar, ce qui était pratique. Des bateaux viennent faire du snorkeling sur cette zone donc vous pouvez les rejoindre avec les masques fournis par l’hôtel. Attention toutefois au retour car les rochers sont coupants et les vagues/courants intenses, même pour les bons nageurs.

Amazing stay experience at Gamat Bay. The mesmerizing view of the sea with the jungle and the snorkelling experience right outside your stay is nothing less than what you would imagine for a relaxing vacation.
Very nice place with stunning view! If you feel like you want some nature, privacy and Balinese style - this place is perfect for you! Very well thoughtful design. Washroom is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, so nice taking a shower with all these leaves and greenery around you. Private access to the beach. A lot of companies bring tourist to snorkel in this beach, and you have your own entrance, feels amazing. And very beautiful corals and fish there. Beside there’s a nice local cafe, we ate there all the time, they also provide breakfast. To get to the place there’s a bit of stairs down, so keep it in mind if you have suitcases) Overall we had a great experience there, very helpful host and personal.
Beautiful location and excellent staff!! Putu was great at organizing all our meals and travel around the island! Complimentary breakfast everyday and stunning views!! We will definitely be back 😄

Such a gorgeous location and accommodation….breathtaking. The road to get there was pretty rough and once you get to the end of the road you walk down steep winding stairs , so not for the physically challenged. Thankfully resort staff helped with our bags…I overpacked.
A beautiful Airbnb with outstanding decor (especially the bathroom). The place had everything we needed! It had a fully stocked fridge with plenty of drinks options and a basket of snacks. We loved that it had a portable speaker which we used to watch a film in the hottub. Restaurant is right next door and also they can bring food to your room which made for some nice evenings on the balcony. Putu’s place also provide snorkelling equipment for free and they have an amazing snorkelling bay where we saw turtles and plenty of fish and corals. The only side note is that the journey to get there is a bit daunting but worth the journey. They can arrange taxis for you (but on the pricier side). This should be considered if you want to explore the area a lot. But for us we enjoyed a relaxing and private 2 evenings on the beach.
We had a fantastic stay at Gamat Bay Resort and we were lucky enough to be their first guests after their official opening. Gamat Bay is a beautiful and quiet bay with Gamat Bay Resort and Gamat Bay Restaurant currently being the only open places in the whole bay. The properties are beautifully created spaces with wooden decks overlooking the bay and direct beach access. The rooms are very nicely designed from an aesthetical viewpoint and lots of thought was put into their decoration. Our personal highlights were the tropical bathroom which made you feel like being in the jungle and the jacuzzi overlooking the bay. Service was top notch and our host Putu was easily reachable and he did a terrific job of being there for us with everything we required. The cooperating restaurant right next to the resort with it‘s incredibly kind owners made our stay even more perfect. 10/10 would return to this place anytime and thank you for our wonderful stay here! :)
My girlfriend and I had a great stay for our anniversary. The host, who was really friendly, let us know they had only just opened recently. The snorkelling at the beach there is amazing, I even spotted a turtle. The bedroom and bathroom is very spacious. The best thing is the amazing views out the window and on the deck. And of course the jacuzzi which we loved sitting in while watching the waves. I’d happily return.
Incredible Stay – 10/10! This place is pure magic. Tucked in the jungle but right above the beach, it’s the perfect mix of peaceful and convenient. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and super comfortable, with a jungle-style bathroom that adds to the experience. The absolute highlight? The jacuzzi at sunset. Sitting there, watching the sky turn pink and orange while listening to the waves below was unreal. The restaurant serves great food, the vibe is perfect, and everything about this stay felt effortless. If you’re coming to Nusa Penida, stay here. Already planning my next trip!
