Exploring Clifftop Estate: Star Cloud Villa, A Dreamspace left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Clifftop Estate: Star Cloud Villa, A Dreamspace was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Ubud plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Clifftop Estate: Star Cloud Villa, A Dreamspace painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

I hate to leave bad reviews. This may be the first bad one I’ve left for an Airbnb. If you intend to book this, please read the whole review. First the good - the villa is clean and cute. Not the best in ubud, not the worst. Here’s where it falls short; SAFETY. In order to reach the villa, you must walk down 30 steps. There is NO railing, and the steps are covered in moss, so even when it’s not raining, they are slippery. 100% of the time. There is NO lighting. No mats, nothing. Each day I knew this, and walked incredibly slowly. I’m an incredibly fit and healthy 40 something. One night, it was slippery (as usual) and I was walking sideways, taking each step incredibly slowly and carefully, yet I slipped. I alerted the owner and staff. The staff cleaned me up. I told the owner (who lives on property) over text the situation and requested assistance on contacting the nearest hospital. No response except “sorry this happened to you”. I had to have outside resources track down medical help. I ended up with a fractured finger and a bruised tailbone. The owner needs to provide a safe access to this property- as of now, there is NONE. All he needs to do is put a rail in, power wash the steps to rid it of moss and install proper lighting. He states the steps are on shared property, and doesn't want to invest to provide a safe entrance. Please understand there is no other entrance to the property - there is no other option but to "slip and slide" your way down. I did not even feel comfortable carrying even a bag down to my room. This is Bali. There is jungle, there is rain. Every hotel knows this and take precautions so guests don't fall. All that is required is for the staff to powerwash or scrub the steps every few days and to put a very simple rail up. Or put grippy mats. It is obvious that this hasn't been done at all this year on the property. TWO friends visiting me also slipped- one went down as well. If you intend on booking this, check to be sure the owner has fixed the entrance to his hotel. Otherwise avoid at all costs, there are many many more beautiful properties in Bali without dangerous situations. As of this review, the situation is still incredibly dangerous. Plus, you don't want to have to go to a clinic or hospital in Bali with a broken bone because it's simply sub-par medical treatment. I require surgery now on my finger because it wasn't set at all after the accident. I'm saddened by having to write this review, because the rooms are cute. But the safety thing is a pretty big deal and everyone booking should be aware. I've spent a few hundred nights at various properties in Bali and this is by far the most dangerous situation I've encountered at a lodging. The owner never once followed up with me to check in on me, even knowing how bad the injury was.

Staffs and boss are nice and helpful. Apartment is just look like pictures. The only problem is the bed bugs. But boss had invite professional Pest company to solve them after we left.

Super lovely place to stay. We stayed in the Star Cloud for 17 days working out of there. Waking up to the beautiful view each morning was very calming. The staff are super lovely, the internet fast enough to take calls on with a bit of lag every now and then. Location was nice to be out of busy Ubud, but close enough to drive to our favourite restaurants and Cafe's within 15 mins-20mins.

Positive: + The villa itself is beautiful, has an amazing view and is located directly in the jungle. + Also the location is perfect; just outside of Ubud, far away from the noisy streets and therefore very quiet but still accessible by "Grab Taxi". + It was always very clean and tidy after daily room service. In the evening they also close the mosquito nets above the bed and set up mosquito-repellents. Negative: - The biggest negative point is the staff being very intrusive. If you stay at the villa for the day, they drop by several times during the day. To prevent that you can close the main gate. But if you close the main gate, this changes to calling or texting several times. Ergo the relaxing atmosphere of this villa is disturbed by the staff on a regular basis. - Also the staff is over-extraordinarily friendly; even if that sounds weird, but they ask the same exact default small talk questions about your day every time they see you. So with time we tried to avoid any possible contact. - A further negative is the breakfast always being cold when we got it. They even request you to tell them the day before the exact time at which the breakfast should be served; still it was cold every time. General information: > As the villa is in the jungle, there are some insects around and also geckos. Three geckos even lived with us in the villa. They didn't really bother us much as they lived on the inside ceiling and they ate the insects that managed to sneak in. But sometimes they left poop on the table/floor, but which was always promptly cleaned by the Cloud Nine Team. > The villa offers to hire a taxi, which we used twice. But in general it is 50% cheaper to just hire a taxi with the Grab app to get to the centre of Ubud. tl;dr: Beautiful villa and perfect location for relaxing, whereas the relaxing vibe is disturbed by the intrusive staff.

We had the entire place with a lovely garden, balcony and a stylish half outdoor shower. The design of the place is awesome. We also got a lovely breakfast and afternoon brought to our room everyday. So sweet!

I really enjoyed my stay here - everything was perfect. You are right with nature and it feels so private. I did not bump into any guests or other people, and did not see any surrounding hotels/villas the whole time. The estate makes you feel like you’re the only one in the area. Lots of sounds of animals and nature. You’ll see geckos and other critters so if that frightens you be aware. I saw lots of geckos (inside the room), some pretty big jumping flying bugs/beetles and that was a little scary, but otherwise it’s fine. All the staff are amazing and wonderful and always have a smile on their face. Edy (or Eddy) was a big help for us and I still don’t know how he can carry our luggages on his shoulder and walk up and down to the estate! The cat Cloudy who lives there is super cute and friendly too! The breakfast is great with a good selection. We rented a motorbike from them to ride around Ubud. About 15 minutes to town on motorbike. It is a little far/secluded but that’s also why it is so private. If you can’t get in Karsa spa, Ubud traditional spa is also close by and both are amazing and highly recommended. When you first arrive the sign to the estate is very tiny, but google maps location is accurate. Just follow the sign and walk the 30ish steps to the villas. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because it is a bit overpriced in my opinion. I paid almost the same for a villa with private pool at the Udaya resort nearby (which is a luxury resort), and so I can’t justify my experience at Cloud Nine for the same price. I think it would be perfect if it were priced just a bit lower.

It’s in the listing but there are a few things I think should highlight so that like me you are not totally surprised when you arrive. Steps. Lots and lots of them. Many of them steep. Many of them slippery. Many of them requiring walking sideways. And being very careful. But when you finally arrive at your villa. I think you will like what you see. I just wished the owners had not buried the info about the steps towards the very end of their description of the property. It is after all the first thing you will notice about the place when you arrive. Same with the lack of a bath tub. They say it’s for environmental reasons. But really? I have stayed at eco hotels around the world and never heard that one before. Especially in country like Bali where up in the hills it’s raining all the time. I was so looking forward to taking a bath when I arrived. Again. It’s in the property description. But you have to read to the very end to see it. And looking at the photos I just assumed, like the other 6 villas I have stayed at on this trip, they would offer a bath tub. The service can be a little unprofessional at times as well. Waking you up from your afternoon nap. Even though you have drawn the curtains. And locked the doors. Just to serve you tea. Well past when you ordered it. These are all small things. But when you add them all up they detract from what could have been an amazing experience. And they all could have been so easily avoided. Especially the steps. I have built a few homes in my time and I could never imagine putting in steps like those. Do take your time. And be careful.

Very nice villa, with great views, right in the center of the forest... The villa is even more beautiful and larger than it appear to be in the photos. Quiet and very clean. The staff was really friendly, always ready to help us with everything. Place to relax, 15 min to Ubud center by scooter. We hope to back as soon as possible! :)

Nice but smaller than the Anjali Suite we also stayed in. There are two areas to sit outside with a view. But the space is small and not as big as Anjali. This private villa is also located right next to the shared pool. So beware that if you have louder than normal fellow guests you can hear them in the private villa. That part I was not so fond of. But the views are nice and you can easily sit on the larger patio area in the evening under the mosquito net and get lost with the crickets cricking, frogs croaking, and stars. The staff, property, and service are great. Having never been to Bali before I have nothing to compare it against. So, I am unsure if their overall services are typical of most villas or not. I would guess they tend to be very high service and will help you when needed. Breakfast every morning, tea in the afternoons. They also give you a mobile phone to use while there. It will come in handy if you need help with transport or directions for any reason.

Great host, wonderful location surrounded by trees and nature everywhere. We’ve observed some squirrels at the trees which was nice. Highly recommended except for the mosquitos and insects part. It was quite more than we expected despite Ubud known for this. Would go again!

I am so grateful to have encountered Cloud Nine. This property is a true gem a short scooter ride from central Ubud, but tucked away in a serene and peaceful atmosphere amidst the jungle. The property is so quiet, it was a haven to arrive at any time day or night. the pool is beautiful and overlooks the jungle. the staff is incredible, they are communicative at all times, even when i had an unexpected emergency in the middle of the night. the owner, Kelly, and her family are beyond incredible as they helped me with the emergency too, when they absolutely did not need to. so many thoughtful extra touches too, such as turn down service, afternoon tea and fresh breakfast along with the incredibly special atmosphere of the place makes this a one of a kind treasure anyone would be lucky to enjoy a stay with. Cloud Nine was just lovely. The villa overlooks the forest valley just south of Penestanan and is very quiet and peaceful. The entire living area is windows that open out into the forest and one can sit almost as if outside in that space. It’s light-filled and sweet. The kitchen is modern and the bathroom is spacious, as is the bedroom. The staff are also very lovely. I loved my stay here.

This estate is pure serenity. From the moment we arrived, all stress just melted away – the only sounds were the jungle itself. The villa is even more beautiful than in the photos, with thoughtful, luxurious details that make it feel truly special. The pool and the view over the jungle were stunning, and we often had it all to ourselves. The bathroom felt like a private spa, adding to the sense of peace. What really stood out was the staff – incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely caring, making us feel at home right away. Breakfast was brought to our room with such attention, and the complimentary afternoon tea was a delightful surprise. This is the perfect place if you’re looking for calm, comfort, and that rare feeling of being completely away from it all. I deserves more than 5 stars – you won’t want to leave. Stop searching - just book it!

We had an incredible stay at Cloud Nine. The location is a bit of a way out of Ubud town which can make it challenging to get taxis around but it is well worth this for the peaceful escape - just need to plan for a bit more time when going out in case you are struggling to get transport. The villa was set in amazing surroundings and is exactly what we wanted and needed. The hosts were readily available in person or by messaging and were really accommodating. It was so nice having breakfasts and afternoon teas included. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others!

This place is stunning. Those who love staying right in the middle of nature, in a quiet environment, are going to enjoy this place. The staff was incredibly welcoming and always at the ready to help. The only downside we found about this place is that it is difficult to get around by foot. Otherwise, my husband and I enjoyed our jungle experience there.

Cloud Nine was such a lovely place to start my time in Bali. The staff are very kind, caring, professional, and responsive. They can help you with finding a driver or other amenities quite quickly when you’re on the ground. If you’re looking to be close to the city, but far enough where you can truly take in beautiful natural surroundings with the benefits of a villa this is the place for you.

We absolutely loved our stay at cloud nine. The staff are incredible and go above and beyond to help you with any need. The space is comfortable and secluded and you feel like you’re truely in the jungle here. It is quiet and the only sounds you can hear are the animals and the river flowing. 2025 was our second stay at cloud nine we loved it so much the first time.

Beautiful place! The location is great if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The area is beautiful, next to a little river and lush jungle with birds tweeting away. There are many steps to get down to the accommodation but staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they help with carrying baggage down and up. Generally loved this place and hope to be back.

I loved my stay at Cloud Nine! The villa matched its description, was beautifully decorated, clean and incredibly relaxing. The location is ideal being slightly out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre but easy enough to get into town quickly by car or scooter. The staff were very helpful and responsive. I would absolutely stay here again.

Such a beautiful location & spacious villa to stay in. I will remember this view forever! Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast & afternoon tea was such a lovely delicious treat! Villa was great for our 8mo baby- high chair, baby bath and cot! There are quite a few stairs down to property so you are a bit isolated with not much around, just need to be organised with food & can easily spend all time at villa! Green Tara spa was in walking distance and do the best bali massage. Also walked to a Warung called we remember to the right of villa, wish we explored that village more around the rice fields but hard with a baby when on foot! Ubud town was 15min drive away so would recommend staying closer if wanting to be central. If you’re wanting a peaceful retreat and time to relax in true bali 100% recommend staying here!! Thank you for having us! Only thing to note is the bedroom is not closed off from living/kitchen so lights and sound seep through- if you have a napping bub/kid.

This place was excellent! The only caution I’d have is for anybody elderly or with limited mobility as there are quite a lot of stairs to go down / up. If you don’t mind a few stairs, the staff helps with all of your bags in both directions so you are good to go. All of the staff and everyone in reception were very helpful. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip Thank you so much 🙏🙏

Starting our honeymoon in the Star Cloud villa at Cloud Nine was a real treat. Surrounded by the beautiful rainforest in a private and comfortable home away from home was exactly what we needed! We hired a scooter which helped us to explore the area, but Grab is also a great option for getting around. The staff were always welcoming and made sure we were looked after. We loved our slow mornings and having breakfast on our porch. Karsa Spa is only 5 mins drive up the road as well as a number of great cafes and restaurants - for a real special treat we highly recommend Mozaic. Cloud Nine is perfect for slowing down and relaxing, we would definitely recommend and would love to return next time we visit Ubud!

We had the most incredible experience staying at Cloud Nine in Ubud! The place is absolutely stunning—well-maintained and beautifully designed, with a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The attention to detail made it feel like a true sanctuary. What really made my stay unforgettable was the staff. Perfect location! The nearby village had great restaurants & spas. The villa was so peaceful & beautiful! The staff made our stay extra special! Cloud 9 is a little paradise in the jungle. The views from the private deck are gorgeous and you feel completely alone in nature. The staff are really lovely and the breakfast each morning was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to see Ubud Centre but stay somewhere more peaceful and away from crowds and traffic.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt. Der Ausblick ist ein absoluter Traum, man schaut mitten in den Dschungel. Das Gepäck wird einem getragen, da es viele Stufen gibt. Generell sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und immer freundlich. Man braucht, wie überall auf Bali, unbedingt einen Roller. Diesen kann man über die Unterkunft buchen.

We enjoyed our room very much. The shower was perfect and was able to find the right temperature easily. The water pressure was ideal. The entire experience was memorable. The breakfast options were tasty and arrived on time every morning. I would recommend to anyone to come. The pool is amazing!

Cloud Nine was impeccable! We had an amazing room, views, and food and their service was top notch!!! They went above & beyond! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Wow. Place was easily the most beautiful place we stayed in Bali so far,very palatial,scenic and relaxing. We stayed with our two babies,and staff were super helpful in making us feel looked after and welcome. However,it is very secluded and not within easy walking distance (with babies) to any shops or Centre of ubud. If you are looking to live like a forest hippy away from the hustle bustle of it all,this place is ideal :)

Unfortunately we were unable to stay on this occasion due to illness but I have stayed at Cloud Nine on four previous occasions and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is beautiful, comfortable, in a stunning location and the staff and service is impeccable. Fortunately Phillip allowed friends to take up our booking but we will be back!

Hidden gem. The staff are so accomodating. Breakfast and afternoon tea every day and night turn down service. So tranquil and relaxing. No loud noise, just the sounds of the jungle. 15 minutes drive to town.

My parents took the stay here, in my father's words, Amazing hospitality @ Cloud Nine Estate Ubud We had checked in on the 19th APR & check out was on the 21st Apr 2024. ▪️This majestic property won our hearts instantaneously. ▪️Amazing hospitality by the entire team ▪️Nyoman - The man with solutions ▪️Tono & the other room attendant - Service with a smile blended with polite and a very humble approach. ▪️ Some lovely memories got created during the morning breakfast in the balcony as i could hear the birds chirping. ▪️ A brilliant washroom ▪️ Decoration of the bed was such a pleasant delight & a wonderful gesture which made our wedding anniversary even more meaningful. ▪️ Morning by the poolside with a backdrop of forest

I had a lovely five night stay. The staff were polite and exacting. The breakfasts were really lovely and the coffee was great! The villa was clean and the bed was really comfy. The villa is a little away from any main areas which is lovely for the quiet environment but does take a short walk to some places to eat or a scooter/car to main restaurants etc. It is possible to walk into Ubud central but takes around 45 minutes. The staff were always very helpful with arranging any transport needed and also assisted with ordering in dinner on a couple of nights.

This place is like heaven. It is gorgeous and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Beautiful interior and the views into the rainforest are awesome. Breakfast is delivered to the room, afternoon tea is a delight and the eye masks before bed are such a lovely touch. The towels are fluffy and the bed is awesome. Highly highly recommend 😊

We stayed seven nights and loved every second. The place is spotless, great location for a relaxed time. Easy walking to local village food and drinks and Karsa Spa (highly recommended). Our villa (Star Cloud) was gorgeous and we felt at home there. So sad to leave. The views are amazing, lots of places to lounge around. Great bathroom. The aircon was good and lots of windows and doors to open when we wanted to enjoy the jungle air. The staff were wonderful - attentive and exact in their service and totally accepting of a queer couple. Now to the food. The food! Breakfast each morning arrived on time, perfect and delicious. Laid out on the table in a perfect way. Coffee was life-giving even tho not how we take it normally. Then afternoon tea was incredible. A different food everyday with coffee around 3.30. We made sure to be back each day for this luxury and it made us really slow down and rest. The butler service for both these meals was excellent. Everything spot on. Loved it.

Cloud Nine Estate is a diamond sitting amongst an emerald jungle. It was wonderful. The estate is beautiful, and the sustainability work the owners are doing to ensure the hotel has minimal impact on Bali is impressive. There are no personal swimming pools or baths, but in a space like Cloud Nine you don't need them. The rooms was very comfortable, clean (and cleaned regularly), and has one of the best views of the jungle. Its location was not an issue if you have a scooter - which the hotel arranged for us before we arrived. The staff were very friendly, attentive and made sure we didn't want for anything. It was a wonderful experience and worth the money - which was great value. Thank you Norman, and all the staff at Cloud Nine for making our Ubud experience a delight.

We chose this place as a treat for ourselves after a long flight. We were seeking a peaceful retreat to rejuvenate before diving into the bustling island life. Our expectations were met: we found a very private, tranquil, and quiet haven with service at the level of a resort. The natural surroundings are exceptionally beautiful, and the villa itself is spacious, well-designed, and impeccably constructed. We encountered no issues during our stay, which was a refreshing contrast to our experiences in other villas later on our trip. The villa is somewhat remote, providing a sense of seclusion, yet it remains easily accessible by scooter or taxi. However, it's not an ideal location for leisurely strolls, except perhaps to the nearby coffee shop down the street. 🌿

Perfection! We had high expectations for Cloud Nine after booking for part of our honeymoon trip and it exceeded them. The location was stunning and peaceful and yet still easy to get around Ubud. It was the small details that made all the difference from the ‘welcome home’ greeting after a day exploring to the carefully prepared afternoon tea. We found ourselves planning our day around the food at Cloud Nine because it was just so good. We would stay there again in a second.

Of all my stays in Bali so far, this was by far my favorite. The hosts and staff were so kind and accommodating, and even let me drop off my luggage and check-in early. The served breakfast options were wonderful, and the service was stellar. This villa was beautifully decorated, and there were even sun hats, robes, and a tote for use. The whole place is quite big, and I loved the indoor/outdoor bathroom and all of the outdoor spaces. The pool was quiet and serene, and the Villa wasn’t too far away from most places I went to visit and practice yoga at. When I’m next in the Ubud area, I will DEFINITELY stay here again!

Absolutely loved our time at Cloud Nine. Beautiful accommodation, delicious food and such kind and helpful staff. All of the Cloud Nine team were so friendly but also left us to enjoy the space. We loved the location - close to Ubud (10 min car/bike ride or 45 min Ridge Walk) but tucked away and quiet. There are a couple of nice cafes within a 5 minute walking distance too. The swimming pool is lovely and every time we went to use it we were the only ones there. The complimentary afternoon tea is a really nice touch and was consistently delicious. Huge thank you to the lovely team at Cloud Nine, we felt so welcomed and looked after.

Stop searching and book this place right now. It was the most romantic, relaxing, and pristinely clean airbnb we stayed in throughout our time in Bali. You are literally in the middle of the jungle. The 3 pm tea time was so luxurious, the pool was gorgeous and private, and the breakfast was amazing! We loved that it was a motorbike ride into Ubud if we wanted to hang out there, but also loved that it was secluded and private and intimate in the little village. I would come back to Bali just to be able to stay here again. also loved the cute coffee shops nearby and so many options for food to be brought in. the amazing staff (every single person we met was kind, accommodating, and respectful) will order takeout for you and plate it and deliver it to your villa!! loved our time here very much

We loved our stay in Cloud Nine estate. The view is breathtaking, so peaceful right in the middle of the tropical forest surrounded by the natural sounds. The villas are very comfortable and beautifully decorated in whites. The staff is amazing and make you feel right at home. We cannot wait to go back!

We loved our stay at Cloud Nine. They made us feel right at home and we loved their app for local recommendations and accommodation details… pretty much planned our days in Ubud w/ this. The breakfasts were also a highlight! The staff were very accommodating to requests for rides or food and the Villa was beautiful. Few bugs here and there as to be expected in the jungle but no issues at night with netting and plug in. Views were also amazing!

Nothing short of AMAZING! Probably one of the best experiences I’ve had in villa stay so far! Down to the services provided which is top notch, the staffs, the food, the amenities and overall villa and estate. Be prepared to be amazed by the place because photos you see on the net doesn’t do justice. Although the villa is slightly tucked away from the Ubud center but transportation was quite accessible, it wasn’t hard to get grab at all for those who don’t drive or ride a bike so that’s a plus. Just be mindful of the stairs from the main road down to the villas, probably not elderly friendly. Overall the 3nights at Star Cloud was simply paradise! Hope to come back soon 👍🏻👍🏻

What an amazing place - without doubt one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms itself is perfect and has everything you need - and the views into the jungle are incredible. Not sure how anyone could moan about this place, yes the steps are a little slippy when wet but not dangerous at all as long as you’re careful. We’ve seen far worse situations at other places, and definitely noticed the steps had been jet washed a few times during our stay, as well as there being a rail for the majority of the walk down to the estate. The staff were also brilliant - so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. If you find that kind of service over-friendly, perhaps you’d be best staying in big chain hotels. Honestly cannot fault this place, and still can’t believe what a good deal it was. This type of accommodation in Europe would be 10x the price. Cannot recommend enough!! Thank you Cloud Nine for the best few days!

My wife and I stayed at Cloud Nine for a few days and absolutely loved it. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The apartment and grounds were gorgeous. We highly recommend it!

Highly recommend staying at cloud nine. It was a wonderful respite from bustling Ubud town center, with beautiful design. We would wake up to the sounds of nature and it was so relaxing. The breakfast and teatime provided from the villa was really great and a nice touch. As it’s near the jungle, do be aware there may be insects, but the staff do their best to help with that with the daily turndown service where they will prepare the bed and set up electric mosquito zappers. As a city girl myself, I was abit worried about insects but it was ok for me and worth it in order to enjoy being so near nature. Lastly, it rly is worth it to stay here also for the wonderful staff. They are always on hand to help us arrange transport from wherever we are back to cloud nine (note it’s about 10/15 min drive from city center). They also helped us plate food we ordered from outside to eat in the villa, and helped us make bookings for the nearby spa “Ubud traditional spa” (which was fantastic!) it was a pleasure to come back to cloud nine everyday to the friendly staff and comfortable villa. :) we look forward to coming again one day. thanks to the cloud nine team!

Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb, hat uns aber nicht gestört - mit dem Roller oder Auto ist man in 10 Minuten im Zentrum von Ubud. Der Pool liegt direkt am Hang mit Blick in den Dschungel. Es gibt Frühstück + Tea-Time! Wir können das Hotel von Herzen empfehlen :-)

The personnel from Cloud Nine provided the best attention during our stay. They made us feel at home during our ~10 day stay. Their service was top notch from breakfast to tea time to housekeeping. If you are looking for a secluded, quiet space this is perfect for you! The breakfast is delicious every morning. If you need anything, like rental of moto bikes or laundry or taxi, the team will gladly assist you with your needs. They are all super sweet and friendly. The villa is located in a downhill, so you will definitely get your exercise every day by going up and down the steps, but the space itself if beautiful and worthwhile. There was a pool which we didn't use because it was raining almost every day we stayed at the villa, but it looks like a nice place to relax. There will be lots of sounds from different animals or insects, but this is expected as you are in the jungle. There is a drive of ~10-15min to the Ubud center, with some hills and curbs, so keep that in mind if you prefer to be walking distance to the center.

Gorgeous property! Every detail was thought out when designing this space and experience, we were very impressed. Location is great, away from the busy areas, but close enough for convenience to cafes and shops. Incredible views of the gorge and jungle. The staff were friendly and extremely attentive. Breakfast was amazing. Several thoughtful details throughout the space. Overall, we would highly recommend. We already miss our peaceful mornings, watching the birds while we ate breakfast.

An excellent relaxing experience, not just accomodation! From the moment we arrived and the warm welcome we received from Alit, nothing was too much trouble and we will recommend Cloud 9 to all our friends! The accomodation (we were in the Star Cloud suite) was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. All the comforts were there and the indoor/outdoor bathroom was special. One thing that was a surprise was the service provided. The team at Cloud nine were on hand anytime to assist. There was daily housekeeping and nightly turndown to ensure everything was fresh and daily breakfast and afternoon tea were delightful. The team were always on hand to assist with ordering meals, taxis and even getting a bunch of flowers delivered. Lots of smiles and warmth. The pool was great and even though it was shared, we never saw anyone else in it when we were using it over 8 days! The surrounds are like you are living in a forest with squirrels, birds and butterfly's out the window and the soothing sound of running water all enjoyed from bed or on the balcony. Plenty of spa's and excellent food within 10 mins by car as well as a cute cafe looking out over the forest just 2 min's walk. There is a beautiful path to walk to Ubud taking you through rice paddy's and past many food options as well as the main walk which is famously instagram worthy. When we need to relax and get away from it all, we will go back to Cloud Nine :)

What a beautiful villa in the most tranquil setting. The villa was private and described accurately. Delicious breakfasts and tasty tea time was provided - at multiple locations as desired, our favourite being at the outdoor table, overlooking the view. Close to a great coffee shop and day spa (book in a advance!) Daily housekeeping and food, by the most lovely local staff. Will return!

What a relaxing getaway, a vacation from my vacation. We loved the remote location, yet still easy access to central Ubud and many attractions. Cloud 9’s management team was also very efficient in helping schedule transportation when needed. Loved the breakfast and scheduled afternoon tea time, as well as overall decor of the space.

The Star Cloud Villa at Cloud Nine Estate is a little piece of heaven. Beautifully designed and decorated, and with a view to die for. What truly sets this place apart is the outstanding hospitality from the team and the thoughtful touches. The small intimate nature of Cloud Nine really made this an exceptional experience for us.

We had a great couple days at Cloud Nine Estate. The staff, location and apartments are so wonderful we didn‘t want to leave anymore. The Estate is located only a ten minute drive outside of Ubud town in the middle of rice fields. Karsa Spa is in walking distance as well as the famous walking path between the rice fields. The staff is so welcoming and friendly we instantly had a good feeling when we arrived. They were very helpful when we had a problem with our scooter or when we needed help with organizing transport and activities. The rooms are spacious, very nicely decorated and clean. The breakfast was amazing. All in all this small estate is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy Ubud area.

All of the staff are amazing and really made the trip very special for us, the place was incredible as well and we really look forward to coming back!

My wife and I stayed at Cloud Nine in the Star Cloud Villa for 4 nights of our honeymoon. As soon as we checked in, we were trying to figure out a way to stay longer. The grounds and the villa itself are incredible. We never wanted to leave, but when we did, it was a breeze to get from place to place with the help of Cloud Nine's wonderful staff. (Edy—thank you so, so much!) We immediately felt at home in the space and can't wait to return in the future.

Cloud Nine is a great place to experience the Jungle! Amazing Birds and wild life! Mornings, you are greeted with a nice breakfast that you selected a day before. Afternoon Tea is also amazing. Great hospitality by Cloud Nine staff. They can direct you with Anything that you might have in mind to do in the island. Thank you Cloud Nine.

This accommodation was amazing in every way. Location is really good, and the view from the villa is stunning. If you want to be quite centrally located but still surrounded by peace and quiet and nature of Bali then this is the place for you. There is a cleaning/turndown service twice a day which meant despite the dense green surroundings of Bali we didn’t really have an issue with bugs. The villa looks just like the pictures if not better. It also has everything you could possibly need, as well as additional thoughtful touches to make your stay more convenient and enjoyable. The staff were truly incredible and assisted us with everything we might possibly need, from arranging drivers to simply ordering meals for us from restaurants and serving it in our villa. Everyone is incredibly friendly and eager to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It’s hard to write all the positives as there are too many!

Cloud nine was such a gorgeous airbnb to stay at! Our favourite things: - The outlook at the star cloud villa is PHENOMENAL. You're basically just looking out at the beautiful ubud forest and it's breathtaking. We sat and had breakfast outside most mornings and just soaked in the view. - The place itself was beautiful and had so many gorgeous spots for photos if thats your kind of thing. Instagram heaven. - The pool was stunning and every time we went to it we had the whole pool to ourselves. I think you can even order drinks by the pool too. - The staff were all so lovely! Everyone was so kind and friendly to us. They all spoke great english and were always up for a chat. The resident cat, cloudy, was so cute and came to stay in our villa for a cuddle (if you don't like cats you can just let the hotel know!) - If you need ANYTHING - takeaway, transport, day trips, etc, someone is just a call away to help you. You literally just need to ask. The service is exceptional as well. - Tea time!! They do tea time at 4ish every afternoon and it's so sweet. Also they deliver your takeout PLATED to your room and it will make you feel like a queen. Tips for other guests: - If you're vegan, you might need to do your own breakfasts or really modify what's there. I was suuper excited when I received a message that there were vegan options for the breakfasts that everyone raved about, but when I arrived I was quickly pointed to the fruit platter (makes me sad eveery time! #veganproblems). I bought myself some vegan bread from the bakery as they weren't able to confirm whether the bread was vegan (and a lot of bread in Bali seems to have milk in it) as well as some almond milk and ordered the vegetarian dish with a lot of changes so I could get avo on toast and mushrooms. Be SUPER specific about your requirements as the staff weren't knowledgeable about what vegan actually meant and some of their food is cooked in butter. Or, if you want to eat a delish big vegan brekky do a proper shop at the markets and buy your own breakfast ingredients to cook :) - If you do want to do any cooking you might need to do a little shop for the basics. Things like salt, spices, oils, etc aren't in store at the villa. - Getting in to town can be a little exxy, but you can walk if you're cash conscious! Cloud Nine is 10 - 15 minutes away from the centre of ubud which is what makes it so serene. You need to use the hotel taxis to get into town or you can do the beautiful 40 minute ridge walk in to Ubud. The hotel taxis are a little more expensive, so do note how much your trips are if you're money conscious. - If you want privacy, be sure to lock the gates! We were so used to really private villas that when people were popping in to do housekeeping, lay out an offering at the front door, take away the offering from yesterday, etc etc, we found it a little hard to feel secluded at times. Be sure to lock the gate if you need to get privacy! Then they'll ring the door bell whenever they there :)

Hands down one of the best holiday places my husband and I have stayed at so far :) The villa and staff at Cloud Nine Estate completely exceeded our expectations. Was drawn by the photos in the listing to make a booking, but we were blown away by the actual place and experience! The location of the estate is private and tranquil, yet easy to get around by scooter. We stayed in the Star Cloud Villa for two nights and wish we had time for more. Beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches which was testament to the amount of effort that had been put into designing the space — a powder room, torch lights in case it gets dark when you’re returning to the villa from exploring outside, a straw bag to take to the pool, sun hats for him and her, extension cords, magazines, books, even a little ukulele..! It’s truly a sanctuary. We also appreciated the service provided by the villa staff. Manager Nyoman and head butler Edy were exceptionally attentive; they were always a call away. Particularly impressed by the food and turndown service. Daily breakfast and teatime are included and the food tastes great. You can also order-in for lunch and dinner (and trust me, you will, because you wouldn’t want to leave the villa) for a small 50,000 IDR fee, the staff will actually plate your takeaway food and serve it to your room! All in all we had no complaints and are already bookmarking this place to return to when we next visit Ubud :)

Cloud Nine Estate is definitely your smartest choice if you travel to Ubud. We stayed in Star Cloud for 2 nights, which is supposed to be the honey moon villa but the great staffs turned it into family- friendly one with high chair, baby cot for my 2yo girl and extra mattress for my 4yo boy. The staffs can help to order food with little charges and serve them in great presentation. Of course the food all tasted good, no matter it was the complimentary breakfast or from the nearby restaurants. Big thanks to all the staff who made our stay so perfect, esp. to Edy who was always there to response to our requests and also to Budi for calling my Son ‘ Super-man’ every time they met, which really cheered up that little boy.

The Star Cloud villa is stunning. It’s located at the edge of a cliff overlooking the jungle. You have complete privacy. The villa comes with a large porch with outdoor sitting area, a kitchen and living room - and your bedroom overlooks another jungle view. The staff at Cloud Nine are welcoming and kind. Laundry, food, taxis - they are on call to assist with any needs. The villa is close enough to walk to Ubud on the Campuhan Ridge but far enough to be away from the hustle of Ubud center. You will love this place!

We loved Cloud Nine and particularly our villa. A spectacular setting, super stylish decor and wonderful service. The ability to order food to the villa which the Cloud Nine team pick up for you and then serve on crockery was a brilliant touch. Being given a local phone was also so useful and appreciated. We had occasional trouble getting into / out of Ubud due to terrible traffic in the city (seemed to be worst around 4pm) and sometimes drivers not being available when we needed them. On balance though, it was worth it for the serene setting and the team work hard to help ensure convenience. Highly recommended. Thank you!

The villa is absolutely gorgeous, and the surrounding area is breathtaking! the staff were wonderful and were always available to help us. definitely don't come here if you don't like bugs, though. the main area in Ubud is a little far from the estate, meaning that you have to get a taxi to and from every time, which the estate charges extortionate prices for compared to the south, so be careful if this. this was really the only disappointing thing about our stay, the rest was great! thank you to everyone from Cloud Nine!

Beautiful villa! It is right in the middle of the jungle, so you get a really good out of the city experience. The steps to the estate from the top of the road is narrow and steep, let the villa staff know when you will be arriving to have a staff member meet you at the top to take your luggage down. Very beautiful place!

Cloud Nine is a slice of heaven run by the most gorgeous, genuine Balinese people who made us feel incredibly welcomed and were always willing to help book a tour, organise a ride etc. I really can't say enough positive things about our experience - just unreal. Already thinking about planning trip round 2!

What a treat! We had a lovely stay. Beautiful views, serene vibe, delicious breakfasts and friendly staff. The cloud nine team were very helpful, kind and hospitable. 10-15 min via taxi into town costing around 100k each way (staff can arrange). We will definitely be back!

Cloud Nine war super und unglaublich schön, sowie auch erholsam. Der tolle, freundliche und syphatische Service hat uns immer den Tag versüsst. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und dem Urwald sehr nahe. Bis ins Centrum hat man jedoch eine weile mit dem Scooter, ca. 10-15 Minuten. Das Frühstück war jedesmal ein Genuss. Unser Apartement war der oberhammer! Können wir nur weiter empfehlen!!!! Wir würden wieder diese Unterkunft buchen!

Cloud Nine is just as magical as it appears in the photos! My husband and I came here for a few days during our honeymoon in Bali. The Star Cloud villa was the perfect size for us. It is so clean and the AC works great! The breakfast service every morning was delicious and we loved the high tea each afternoon. Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who wants to visit ubud and experience an intimate jungle feel!

Cloud Nine was by far the most wonderful place we stayed during our two weeks in Bali! The Star Cloud villa has a stunning view of the jungle from both inside the villa and outside on the balcony, the sunsets and sunrises each day were unbelievable! The villa itself is beautifully decorated, serene, and very clean! Ubud center is only 10 minutes away by taxi, but if feels as if you have escaped to a remote jungle hideaway :) The staff of Cloud Nine are truly what make this place so special! Nyoman, Edy, Budi, Wayan, and everyone else we met made us feel so at home. They arranged all of our tours and transport around the island, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy Ubud. Each day includes a delicious breakfast and tea time in your villa, and it was also a great touch to have a local phone provided for us that we could take with us during the day. If you have the chance, absolutely stay at Cloud Nine!

The pool is pristine and very secluded, the views and morning sounds are unreal and I’d recommend this place to anyone interested in a 2-3 day check-out to nature and luxury. You’ll love it. It’s a hike to town and will require a taxi both ways, which the hotel will arrange for you. Would not recommend for ppl looking to spend most their trip walking around in the town Center of Ubud. Better for a resort-vibe decompression, and was the perfect start to my month-stay here. Good for families too.

We had an amazing 4 nights in the star cloud villa, the hospitality was second to non - each member of the Cloud Nine team was an absolute gem. This is a very relaxing accommodation - you literally are in the jungle with nothing but the sounds of nature around you.... go here if you want to switch off from the hustle of everyday life and to step into serenity with peace and nature. You are 45 odd mins walk away from Ubud town and taxis there and back are fairly cheap, there are a few restaurants close by Worthing walking distance but these also deliver to your villa (we ordered in twice - go with the Indonesian restaurants) Breakfast is served in your villa - you get to choose the day before what you’d like to have the next day, we tried all options during our stay and they were all lovely ... the staff will come in at your chosen time and set the table for you before walking in with your order. There are so many good things about this estate - I could sit and write for ages, in a nutshell if you as a visitor can appreciate the quiet life - seclusion - simplicity in simple and stylish surroundings and can respect that this is not a party hard and disturb everyone type of place then you’ll certainly not be disappointed. On the last note - treat the staff with respect and appreciation, they are truly such loving warm people... the type who are rare to find :)

The Cloud Nine complex is beautiful - just 4 or 5 villas, with a shared infinity pool, set right on a hillside in the jungle. Amazing views and feels very remote. The staff are incredibly helpful - they provided a local mobile phone for us (to call restaurants or the Cloud Nine concierge at any time); delivered home-cooked breakfasts each morning, and local delicacies for afternoon tea each afternoon; and provided a turn-down service to prepare the bedroom each evening, and daily cleaning. They can also organise a driver/tours/experiences if you require. The villa is a little out of town, so Cloud Nine organised scooters for us (£5/day), which I would recommend. I believe central Ubud is walkable, but scooters were definitely quicker.

Star Cloud was a little slice of heaven set away from the madness of Ubud. Star Cloud exceeded my expectations in terms of the view, cleanliness and service. The breakfast is out of this world not only in flavor but of where you will be having breakfast. This is by far one of the nicest airbnb experiences I have ever had. Do it!

We had an amazing stay at Cloud Nine. We would definitely return and stay here again. The staff was friendly, the rooms were beautiful, and the fact that you can walk down Campuhan Ridge to get into the city was just perfect. There’s a cafe and spa called Karsa that you can walk to (15-20 minute walk), and I would highly recommend doing that and booking a couple treatments ahead of time. Breakfast at Cloud Nine was delicious. A Truly special place.

Stayed in a beautiful villa. The private indoor and outdoor lounge areas within the villa were perfect for a bit of relax and quiet time. Breakfast was great, and the manner of all the staff was very pleasant, left us feeling very safe and comfortable. Great value for money. The only downside is that the villas are a little far out of Ubud, but do note that a lot of services from outside the villa (e.g. ubud traditional spa and classes) offer free transport to and from their venues.

This place is stunning. We stayed 3 days in February and it was beautiful. The view, the room, the friendly staff!! It’s a very secluded villa but we had no problem walking around the streets or getting rides into town. Jungle fish restaurant which is about a ten minute walk was gorgeous if you don’t mind it being a bit more expensive. Overall I would stay here again! Thank you for everything. We are a couple in our early 20’s from Sydney (AU) and we stayed in Star Cloud Villa 11-13 February 2018 - the villa was gorgeous! Everything was beautiful - super clean and fresh despite the difficulty in keeping it that way due to location! This villa offers the most stunning view of the forest, and my partner and I instantly fell in love with the whole set. There are a lot of bugs - however - this was expected and did not effect our overall feelings towards the place! The only downside was during our stay the internet was down, however the overall experience was A++. Absolutely loved the eco-friendly factor and all the little finishes to the interior, making it feel so snug! The villa looks even more fabulous than the photos! Would highly recommend :)

Cloud nine is a treasure! Quiet, serene, and truly gorgeous !! We enjoyed all the little touches and extras that made us feel welcome and special !! Breakfast was spectacular !! Linens lovely, I felt pampered and very relaxed there. Even when stuck in the rain, they made us omelettes and a bottle of wine!! Really really loved this place!!!! WOW! What can I say... from the incridble location to the most hardworking and friendly staff possible,this must be one of the best places to stay in Bali! From the second I arrived I was treated like royalty and showed around the beautiful grounds and my villa.The vills are finished to such a High standards with added extra’s around every corner that really make you feel like your staying in a little palace in the jungle . This villa exceeded our highest expectations. From the moment we walked through our private gate we were blown away by the attention to detail and design style not to mention the amazing location. We felt so luxuriously private, even though in a shared complex we felt like we were the only people around and when it rained sitting on the verandah looking at the forest was amazing. We live and work a very stressful life and this was the perfect antidote, for anyone who wants to get away from everyone but still be close enough to go out for a meal or a massage this is your place. Already planning another trip.

This place is BEYOND beautiful! We spent 10 days here on our honeymoon. We had the most amazing time at Kelly and Phillips gorgeous cliff side villa! The staff are the most caring and sweetest people we met in all of Bali. They are there for anything you may need. Kelly and the staff provided many tips on places to visit and rented us a scooter to get around on our own. They were always so caring about our safety and even gave us a cell phone during our stay, just incase of emergencies. The view is nothing like we've ever seen before. Pure bliss. The pool was so amazing and relaxing. The place is so clean ALWAYS! They even provide turn down service at night. And the beautiful flower arrangements we had when we got there, and New Year's Day were so touching. The breakfast every morning, is something we looked forward to every night. So fresh and delicious! There place is so central to everything.. we were able to hit up so many tourist attractions within a 15 minute scooter ride. We were so sad to leave because they made it feel like we were at home. We will truely miss everything about this place and plan on coming back in the near future. My husband and I really loved this place. Location could not have been better. You feel like you are in the middle of the jungle and at the same time so close to downtown Ubud. The villa is stylishly furnished. No air conditioning, but we didn't feel we needed it with high ceilings and the fan. Breakfast and afternoon tea add a nice touch to the whole experience. Staff is very helpful and flexible, they even give you a telephone to be used locally and call the villa if you need anything. The pool is overlooking the jungle, and so is the villa where we stayed. I don't have enough words to describe the experience of waking up to the first rays of sun making their way through the lavish greenery of the woods. It was our first time in Ubud, and we would definitely love to come again and stay in Cloud Nine villas!

The starcloud villa was amazing! The cloud nine team was very friendly and the information book was extremly helpful with recommended restaurants, activities and spas. The included breakfast every morning was delicious. Our stay was just perfect!

This place is hands down the most incredible place to stay not just in Ubud but all of Bali! The sweet people who work there are so kind and hard working and they go above and beyond to make sure that your stay at Cloud Nine is the very best! There complimentary breakfast is so delicious, always hot, and beautiful. There afternoon tea time is the best and the small snack they offer was always so delicious! The villas were so clean and well kept and the views are to die for! My husband and I didn't want to leave! Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect from the second we arrived. Star Cloud villa was one of the most incredible villas we've ever stayed in. So incredibly beautiful, clean, accurate to the photos, comfortable and safe. How could we forget how wonderful the staff were as well, so helpful and accommodating, anytime we needed a recommendation or assistance they would do everything they possibly could to ensure satisfaction. We are already planning our return to Ubud and Cloud Nine estate, can't wait to see Cloudy the villa kitty again as well.

Cloud Nine Estate is such a dreamy place to stay! My husband and I stayed for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and really enjoyed the incredible views, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and how well equipped the villa was. We had everything we needed (refrigerator, beer, snacks, dishes, etc.) upon arrival. It was also nice to be a bit outside (10 minute taxi) of the business that is Ubud. Our favorite part was hanging out with Cloudy, the sweet kitten that lives at the Estate! One thing to note - we appreciated the green aspects of the property, but because of the small water heater, the hot water would run out after 5-10 minutes in the shower. Definitely not a deal breaker for us, but good to know upfront, so you can plan accordingly.

This is a true gem! Located close to Ubud centre but in a quiet jungle paradise. Stunning Campuhan ridge walk located closeby. Top quality food with impeccable presentation. Everything you need in Bali is right here -- no need to ever leave the estate. :)

The Cloud Nine estate is an amazing and warm place where you will be greeted with a smile by each and every staff you bump into along the way back to your villa. I chose this place because I was attracted to the "white-themed" interior design and the closeness to nature. I wanted a respite from busy city life and this is exactly what I got. All you would hear in your stay would be the sound of nature - birds, insects and the running river. The villa is also so clean and airy that I felt so relaxed there. There are also many small finishing touches that showed the thoughtfulness of the hosts - the pool bag, fidoras, hair dryer, multiplug, adaptors... Some specific instances to compliment: - It was pouring the day we arrived and we decided to use the villa's dinner delivery service. Despite the rain, the staff were very willing to go out in the rain to get dinner and even set the food up nicely on plates for us. They were so helpful, no signs of displeasure, and we were very grateful for this. - The staff were also very punctual in bringing our breakfast to our villa and arranging for our transport. - It was my birthday on one of the nights and the staff put up some special decoration and even wished me happy birthday. - The staff also helped to make dinner reservations for us and one of the staff (Edy) even brought the phone all the way to the villa when the restaurant called to inform us of a change in the reservation time. As with all balanced reviews, the only down side was that the villa is a little off Ubud central. However, we believe no accommodation in Ubud central would be able to give us the same nature experience as Cloud Nine! In any case, the staff can always help arrange for transport and so this is really not an issue at all! Thank you to the hosts and all the staff and we hope to be back some day!

I loved everything about the Cloud Nine Estate. It's truly a sanctuary for your soul when you're travelling Bali. I cannot give enough praise to the Cloud Nine team! They are so warm, welcoming, accommodating, friendly and kind. Some of my most precious lessons that I learnt travelling Indonesia, came from the conversations enjoyed with Cloud Nine team. Don't overthink this one, it's even more beautiful than what you see here. Secure your dates as soon as you possibly can, you definitely won't regret it! :) Now if I could pick a handful of few things to highlight for other Airbnb guests still considering staying here they would be; 🌏 Kelly was so helpful with our plans, she would check in on us while out on day trips just to make sure everything was running smoothly - and might I add, on the loaner mobile phone! What a smart and welcome surprise that was! We've travelled across Europe & the UK so working prepaid SIM Cards became our mortal enemies 😂 this took all the stress away for us! 🌏 The sensation of the Star Cloud Villa can be described only as floating in the jungle. It was an absolute treat to wake up to. You simply walk outside and you are in nature. It's a peaceful corner of the world, and really saved my husband and I after our day travels. 🌏The villa service was so unbelievably comfortable and convenient. Almost every night we ordered deliveries from the best local vegetarian restaurants, and the staff would plate it up in our room, before we'd have lovely conversations about life. The organic vegetarian breakfasts (and coffee) included in the accommodation price are absolutely divine! 🌏 The villa feels like your own private resort, the design and materials are absolutely gorgeous. You really couldn't ask for more, Phillip & Kelly and their design team have thought of everything. 🌏 The complimentary yoga mats and little book collection in the villa are such a treat! I read all of the books provided, some of which were simply magical and others - so educational. 🌏 Cloudy, the new resident cat was the sweetest company to have around, it was a warm reminder of back home in Australia where our animals are much loved in our homes and families. 🌏 I absolutely LOVED that Cloud Nine is an eco-friendly estate and that the owners have worked with local businesses to design the property and all of its elements. I felt like I'd made the right decision by the environment and the local community by booking this property. My tips: Be sure to try their Cloud Cooler drink Don't stress if you've forgotten your international power point adaptor, you're covered! Book and order as much as you can through the reception - honestly, the charges are minimal when you look at how much time, effort and stress it frees up for you Ask for Kelly's advice on day trips and read their information folder Accept...

The Star Cloud Villa is gorgeous and in a perfect location - literally in the middle of the jungle, yet only a 10 min drive from central Ubud. The villa has its own garden / terrace - a great place to begin the day, sipping on Balinese coffee brought with breakfast while enjoying the jungle views and sounds. There are only five villas in the Cloud Nine Estate, so it’s very peaceful and most of the time you feel as if you have the whole place (and infinity pool) to yourself. Kelly, Philip & the whole team were so kind, warm and helpful, making the place homey and hard to leave behind.

We loved our stay at this beautiful villa! Very good service equivalent to a 5 star hotel with staff very professional and helpful. Breathtaking view from our terrace and nice territory. Excellent breakfast prepared every morning and also very tasty tea time complimentary. You can reach Ubud by car or bike in 15 mm or even walking by a very charming little road within 30-45 mn. We will come back!

Firstly, this property is absolutely stunning! If you are looking for a beautiful escape from the hustle and noise of downtown Ubud, this is the perfect getaway. The view is gorgeous, breakfast is delicious, there are a few great spas nearby (Ubud Traditional has a free shuttle and Sinar spa is a close walk), the downtown is a 40 minute walk along a scenic path or 10 minute cab ride, and the staff are wonderful and very helpful and attentive. Kelly and Philip were away during our stay but returned as we were checking out. When we arrived at our next accommodation they had sent flowers to congratulate us on our honeymoon. Such a thoughtful gesture! We would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful estate :)

First and foremost: the photos do NOT do this villa justice!! It is the perfect base to recharge your batteries. Wake up every morning and enjoy your gourmet, al fresco breakfast served in your villa with a view of the jungle as you soak in the sounds of the fresh water stream below and chirping birds. 100% Instagram-worthy food, plating and vistas! The decor is boho-chic meets minimalism with an ode to Balinese tradition. If you're looking to declutter the mind, this aesthetic is ideal. The location is just around the corner from the picturesque rice fields and Karsa spa-cafe (a must- do). The service is genuinely warm and welcoming, the staff are very kind. They have bridged the gap between the "best of a private villa" meets the best of 5* hotel amenities. Breakfast served in your villa, room service, food delivery, afternoon tea, nightly turn down service, a 24/7 concierge, etc. Nailed it! The only downside I would say would be that there is a walk from the main road down to the villa – there are a lot of stairs. So for those with walking difficulties, this is not the place for you. However, the staff carry your bags for you, so don't worry about that! We will be back soon. Thank you!!

We stayed in Star Villa for 3 nights, the place is absolutely gorgeous! It's exactly as in the picture, but with the breeze and beautiful mountain view you could physically feel and see, it just bring it to a different level. It really feels like in a fairy tale. The electricity got cut off for a couple hours on one of the nights, not the villa's problem but the electricity company's. Hopefully that's not an often situation. Overall we really enjoyed our staying, and the staffs there were very friendly and attentive. Have already recommended the place to our other friends. Would definitely come back.

Cloud Nine was a beautiful, tranquil and relaxing space for my husband and I and our 16 month old daughter. We felt very welcomed and well looked after with attentive, warm and friendly service throughout our stay. We won't hesitate to visit again if we have the opportunity.

The villa is brilliant and the views are truly remarkable, and the pictures don't do justice to the pristine greenery and and natural landscape. The breakfast served each morning is delicious and the staff are top notch helping us with all our queries and needs. One thing I would warn those afraid of insects, there are many of them, but that's tonne expected, my wife has a huge phobia of geckos and they tend to roam around, but you get used to them immediately.

We spent 5 days at Star Cloud villa. Located in the jungle, above the river, a well-decorated and reasonably arranged villa is a great place for relaxation. Infiniti pool, excellent breakfasts with a choice of menus, as well as friendly staff complete the overall pleasant picture. Many thanks to Philip and Kelly for the warm welcome.

This was my second stay at Cloud Nine (and won't be my last). I am a writer and the Star Cloud suite was the perfect place to work on my next book. The location of Cloud Nine is just far enough away from Ubud to be away from the crowds but close enough to go for dinner (or order in delivery). I love the proximity to the quiet end of the Campuhan Ridge. I woke up early most mornings to walk it at sunrise and return in time for breakfast to arrive at my suite. (The banana pancakes are so good!). The staff at Cloud Nine is fantastic. Everyone knows your name and makes you feel special. Thank you for another amazing stay.

I arrived at Cloud Nine after a 24 hour flight and my jetlag disappeared the minute I stepped onto this beautiful property. Philip and Kelly have created a magical spot. The views are stunning. I stayed in the Dewi suite and then Star Cloud. Everyone who works here is lovely and makes you feel welcome. I arrived on Feb. 13 and had completely forgotten about Valentines Day (I was traveling alone) until my breakfast was delivered the next morning with a note from the staff wishing me a "Happy Love Day." They also surprised me with flowers and chocolates on my bed that night (best Valentines Day ever!). One of the bonuses about this location is being so close to the quiet end of the Campuhan Ridge walk (and the gorgeous Karsa Spa). I woke up early every morning for a sunrise walk along the ridge. I've already booked my return stay!

Book now! This place is the definition of relaxed luxury! I have lived in Sigapore for 3 years and been to Bali many time . The service and staff were amazing. I was truly amazed by the high level of service and attention to detail. Fresh flower, afternoon tea and the breakfast was to die for. Truly AMAZING. Location is 10 minutes drive from town but I would come here again in a heatbeat the views and peacefulness were great! Soft beds and great wifi tooo.

Having spent 3 weeks in Ubud in 2015, we knew precisely what we wanted on this trip and Cloud Nine delivered! The property overall, and our villa - Star Cloud - provided a peaceful, calm and restorative break for us and the 12 nights that we stayed were bliss! From a friendly airport pick up, a late and very welcome check in and all the bits in between. Our stay felt like bits and pieces of a hotel stay like daily cleaning, breakfast delivery, transport arrangements, staff on-call, stunning pool and villa and even food delivery options from our favourite local spots with the independence and privacy of our own villa. For those unfamiliar with Ubud, the location is stunning and absolutely no problem especially if you're confident on a scooter/motorbike. A great stay and thanks to all the staff!

The most stunning villa I have stayed in with great value. Everything was perfect, I was very happy with the full set of kitchen that allowed us to cook our fav meal and stay in to enjoy the wonderful view of the jungles of ubud. I highly recommend this place, the pictures does not even compare with the reality of the villa! The breakfast was also delicious!

This place reeks of class, but in a very warm inviting way. The host were fantastic, they were warm and very hospitable. Phillip and Kelly were very attentive to our needs for our stay. Whether its our itinerary for our days, or getting about the sights or recommending us great food in Ubud. The place is very near town, yet feels so secluded and private. The staff are friendly and attentive to your needs, amplifying the balinese culture. The estate is very relaxing and tranquil.
