Exploring Deluxe Villa Melody 103 left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Deluxe Villa Melody 103 was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Kecamatan Ubud plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Deluxe Villa Melody 103 painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Let's start with the positives. Bed was comfy and sheets were clean. Breakfast and welcome drink was offered. When we arrived Ketut wasn't around to check us in. There was no one around and this wasn't communicated to us. The home is located in a more traditional setting in the middle of a local community. So you'll need to walk past lots of people and animals before getting to your villa. It's tucked away. The villa had a smell. Like a damp old smell which was unpleasant. Kitchen area was pretty rundown. One pan had bugs growing in it. The computer chair in the villa had a layer of dust. To make our experience worse Ketut told us that he entered our room and turned off the aircon. This was only communicated to us after we came home one night. We felt that this was inappropriate and unnecessary especially without prior communication. Totally not worth the $100 plus price point.
The place itself was very nice, but a few things detracted from the experience. The room and bathroom were very clean, but many of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty (e.g. one of the pots had caked on tomato sauce and we had to wash all of the dishes before using them). The breakfast was elaborate with fresh juice (no coffee though, so bring your own if you need your caffeine fix), fruit, and multiple Indonesian dishes, but apart from the fruit, it was almost all fried foods. Despite asking for no fried food verbally and through text, the host ignored our request (and in fact made things worse on the second morning by swapping out plain rice for fried rice). The biggest detractor though was from our interactions with the host. He wasn't friendly at all and when serving breakfast the first day, he paraded his daughter (who he said does the work of running the place/cleaning) in front of us and not-so-subtly told us about how a previous guest tipped her every day. When we wanted to rent a scooter, he told us he had a friend with whom he would help us negotiate. He claimed that the going rate for a scooter was 150,000 IDR/day in Ubud (double what it actually is) and then just dropped us off at his friend's scooter rental without helping us negotiate at all. On both days when serving breakfast, he somewhat patronizingly explained to us at length how the AirBnB system works, asking us for good reviews and emphasizing that he would be reviewing us. He could have checked our profile and seen that we've used AirBnB quite a bit and don't need the process explained to us (much less two days in a row). Also, before these negative experiences, when we were considering extending by a day, the host refused to be paid through AirBnB and wanted to be paid directly in cash, which goes against AirBnB's guidelines/recommendations.

This villa in Bali had its pros and cons. The pool was nice, and the host Ketut was friendly and accommodating, arranging a free airport pickup and bringing insect spirals in the evenings. The driver, Suka, was excellent, and I enjoyed a couple of day tours with him. However, the villa was very dusty, which was tough as I’m allergic and had to clean for two hours on arrival. There were also termites, leaving droppings on the bed daily. Although the host had the place sprayed after my complaint, the strong smell forced me to book another room for the night, which was just $15 and spotless. For the price, I expected better cleanliness and pest control. Keep in mind, to reach the villa, you walk through a local residential area. I did feel sad seeing many birds kept in cages along the way. Given the jungle location, there were a lot of bugs and lizards around, which didn’t bother me as much since it’s expected in such an environment.
We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Great location away from the city trafic.
We had a nice stay at Ketuts place overall. There were some construction works taking place adjoining the villa which we think Ketut owned. The noise wasn't massive but did disturb the tranquility of the place including the outdoor pool. To Ketuts credit he compensated us with a free massage. The walk from the street is approx. 350 metres to the rear of the block & overall at night the area is quiet. Breakfast was freshly prepared, a key safe be helpful addition. Nice shower -

Our hosts Ketut & Wayon were very lovely people. Breakfast was fantastic. Location was a little further than expected. There are some nice eating places within walking distance. Unfortunately there was some construction right outside the door which was a little noisy and interrupted our privacy. Agus was our driver and a very funny young man. I would recommend Melody house, especially after the construction finishes.

I had the best stay at Ketut’s place, he was so helpful, friendly and responsive and was always there whenever I needed anything and would go out of his way every time. I am so glad I stayed at Melody House and would stay again. The bed was so comfy, the bathroom was perfect especially loved the outdoor shower, and my favourite part was the garden, pool and cosy nook with desk and cute Balinese bed. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook at home which is rare in Bali. Thank you so much Ketut, I’ll miss you, Faye
This is one of the easiest 5* reviews to give. Ketut and his family were incredible hosts, very kind, responsive, and helpful. I stayed here for 10 days as a solo female traveler. I felt taken care of and happily welcomed from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Suka picked me up from the airport, provided me with a few rides during my stay, and helped me with my heavy luggage. This Melody House villa is quiet and comfortable, has A/C, a kitchen for cooking, water cooler, hot water showers, and is surrounded by lush plants with a pool in a serene private garden in the back of their beautiful family compound. and you get daily Balinese offerings! It’s in a peaceful, safe, walkable area out of main streets' hustle and bustle with lots of great options nearby, and Grabs are super easy to order and get to places in Ubud center quickly too. Do yourself a favor, and book Melody House for your authentic Balinese stay in Ubud! I'll definitely be back! Thank you, Ketut, Suka, and family!
My stay here was excellent! I was traveling solo, and this place is perfect for both solo travelers and couples who want to stay in Ubud without being right in the noisy, congested center. The location strikes a great balance — peaceful, yet close to everything. The room was cleaned and the bed made daily, which was such a nice touch. It’s the perfect spot to drop your stuff and head out exploring. The open-roof shower adds a unique tropical feel, and the pool is absolutely amazing after a long day out. I walked 10–15 miles a day and had mild heat exhaustion a few times — that pool honestly saved me! Having a way to cool off here makes all the difference. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. There are also plenty of great cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I’d highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Ubud — especially if you want comfort, convenience, and a relaxing escape from the busy center.
Ketut was amazing, always making sure everything was working well and always available to help with luggage. Was there to great us at checkin and woke up at 4:30 in the morning to help with luggage on our departure. Was an amazing spot - just outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud but close enough to walk in if needed. Very nice local zone with an awesome coffee shop down the road.

After a booking went wrong and we were forced to leave we booked Melody House and thank goodness we did. This Villa is a gem, tucked away in an easily accessible alleyway that's so pleasant to walk down providing you with that real Balinese feel. The villa is roomy and exceptionally clean. All rooms are practical, spacious and the shower under the stars is wonderful. The bed is super comfy and there is a second working space and chilling room with a bed sit. One night a friend decided to stay and Ketut was kind enough to make this room into a bed for him at such short notice. The location is great with a 10 minute bike ride into Ubud centre or a 30 minute walk through the rice fields. The are plenty of places to eat and it's in a quiet location away from the noisy streets and the pool is very private and the serenity perfect. Initially booked for 7 nights but extended for another 4 nights. Ketut is an exceptional host and he will do anything to make your stay perfect. Thanks Ketut! 🙏
I travel a lot and I’ll admit I’m going to miss Ketut. He goes so far above and beyond for a host. It’s personal for him. The little Villa is so lush and green and from the street it’s like you’re walking through an old temple. He will also set you up with Suka a local driver who speaks great English and will drive you to all the popular spots and be a guide. Highly recommended. Everything was great. Ubud is magical.
Great place to stay in Ubud! The location is convenient, the villa is clean, and there was daily cleaning. Ketut was always available, very helpful, and even offered a transfer. The pool was great, and the atmosphere was nice. The only downside was that the Airbnb photos were from different villas, so we got a different one than expected (it had one table instead of two, which was important for remote work). But overall, it wasn’t a big issue, and we really enjoyed our stay!
My partner and I enjoyed staying at Ketut's place. The accommodation was very central and walking distance to everything. Staying in Ketut's place was amazing as you also have an opportunity to learn about Balanese culture firsthand. Ketut was so kind. The next day we arrived he took me to the market so that I can buy vegetables. You can also rent a bike from him and have all the shops around you. My partner was sick and Ketut kindly gave us a coconut and other fruts to get better. I really loved staying at Ketut's place and would highly recommend it to everyone.
We loved staying at Melody House!! Ketut and his family were so kind and helpful, we felt so comfortable and included, it made our stay in Ubud that much more enjoyable because we felt so welcomed from the minute we arrived. The space is beautiful, and in a perfect location, just a short walk from so many great cafes, shops and restaurants. Ketut gave us lots of recommendations and informed us of any local ceremonies or events, and finding our way around the area was very easy. Suka was also wonderful, picking us up to bring us to Melody House and giving us a lift to our next location. He even offered to take us on a number of tours to other local and tourist attractions. Overall, if you are planning a trip to Ubud, I highly recommend staying at Melody House! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a wonderful stay and Ketut's place. I have to say it probably was one of the best I had in Ubud! The location was ideal for me and the service he and his family provided was just amazing. They made me feel like a part of the family as well, so I felt right at home. The place is very quiet and green, since it is off the main street which I appreciated every day. Also the extra room with a working desk was for me great to have, due to the work I also had to do. Internet is fast and reliable! Overall, I highly highly recommend Ketut's place for all those who are looking for a private, quiet and green place to relax but also get some productive hours in, paired with strong local family vibes! :)
Melody house is a nice place to stay. It is a private place with beautiful pool and garden. Ketut is a very responsive and helpful host. He and his family are so welcoming and easy to communicate. They keep the house very clean.
This place was the perfect getaway vacation my sister and I. This place was breathtaking, looked better in person than in the pictures posted. Ketut was an amazing host, checked in on us regularly and made sure we weren’t missing anything at any point in time. Ketut and Suka made sure we felt comfortable and helped us to organize our stay and book tourist attractions within Bali. Suka was able to drive and take us around to all the places we wanted to visit and suggested only the best attractions for us to make our stay feel as perfect as it was. The family as a whole were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt im Melody House, es wahr sehr ruhig und schön Privat mit seinem Pool und der kleinen grünen Gartenanlage. Die Kommunikation was sehr gut und Ketut war immer für uns da egal um was es ging er konnte uns immer helfen. Wir werde es sehr vermissen die schöne Zeit aber werde mit Sicherheit wiederkommen.
Zum Verlieben! Was ein schönes Haus zum Entspannen. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt und die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber lief ohne Probleme. Er hat sich um alles gekümmert und ich denke bei ihm bleiben auch keine Wünsche offen. Der Pool als auch das Haus waren sehr sauber. Ketut hat uns auch noch ein Transfer über seinen Bruder nach Lovina vermittelt inkl. 2 kleiner Stops die echt schön gewesen sind und das für einen unschlagbaren Preis. Alles in allem empfehlen wir die Unterkunft lieben weiter, schade das wir nur so kurz da gewesen sind. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
We recently stayed at Ketut's place in Ubud, Bali, and it was amazing. The property is incredibly private and silent, offering a perfect escape. Ketut was an outstanding host, always available and responsive when needed but also giving us plenty of space to enjoy our stay. For an authentic Bali experience, Ketut's place is the way to go - every morning we would wake up to traditional balinese offerings and Ketut and his family were always friendly and supportive. He provided three different motorbikes for us to use and gave excellent tips on local activities. The flat itself was fantastic - super comfortable bed, a wonderful outdoor shower, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The highlight was definitely the pool, which we enjoyed every day. The location is perfect, situated on a lively yet relaxed road in Ubud, just a minute away from a coffee shop and convenience store. We highly recommend Ketut's place and would definitely stay here again!
Very beautiful house. The pool is amazing and very clean, the strength of this house! I really liked the terrace as well. The bed was big and comfortable, everything clean and Ketut made sure to come everyday so that it stayed clean! 7 min by grab bike from the city center, I enjoyed the ride! Ketut and his wife are great host, Ketut was always available to help and very friendly - would definitely come back and would recommend.

Mi pareja y yo nos Alojamos en la villa de Ketut y nos sentimos como en casa. Que persona tan maravillosa, siempre pendiente de nosotros, super amable y atento al igual que su familia. La villa es preciosa, muy fiel a las fotos muy limpia y en una zona muy bien ubicada, sin duda nos hemos sentido genial y pensamos repetir pronto. La recomiendo sin ninguna duda!!
Ketut was a great, responsive host. Any time there was a problem with the place, Ketut fixed the issue quickly. He was proactive in catering to all of our needs, whether it be cleaning the room while we were out or lighting mosquito repellant in anticipation of our arrival. He also connected us with his family member Suka to pick us up from the airport, and we ended up using him on numerous occasions to bring us around Bali. Also, the location was great and we really enjoyed the private pool. Great experience with this stay overall!

Melody House is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We loved the private pool and the lush garden surroundings. The villa is perfect for a lengthy break, with a very comfy bed. Ketut and his family are very friendly. There are some great places to eat close by and we walked everywhere. And then the centre of Ubud itself is only a 15 minute walk. We are so relaxed… we can’t wait to come back!
Melody house is fijn, veilig en rustig. De locatie is prima. Op loopafstand zijn restaurants en kan je een scooter huren. Het centrum van Ubud is met een scooter prima bereikbaar. Melody house is onderdeel van een familiecomplex waar de eigenaar zelf ook woont. Mede daardoor is het een rustige en veilige plek om te verblijven. Ketut is vriendelijk, flexibel en behulpzaam. Hij communiceert goed en snel. Eventuele problemen worden snel en goed opgelost.

Melody house was an amazing place to stay. Loved the privacy and the pool . The A/C is a wonderful asset. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. Ketut and his wife Wayan are very welcoming hosts always helpful and they work very hard to make their guests happy. Arranged a ride for me from the airport and helped with my luggage . They brought me breakfast every morning and fresh fruit everyday. They tidied the room daily and arranged massages for me at the villa. The accommodations were comfortable and had everything I needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat !
We really enjoyed the place. It’s better than what the pictures show, our favorite part was the pool, incredibly nice. Our host was kind and communicated throughout the trip. Only problem was the water would turn off a few times but as soon as I let him know he came and fixed it! The location is perfect and just a walk or short ride away from anything in Ubud

First Ketut arranged a pickup from the airport by his family members and they were really really kind and welcoming. Then Ketut was waiting on the Villa and welcomed us also very kindly and politely to the amazing Villa. This was the best place we have been on our travels. Ketut is also a wonderful host that became our friend and he is always ready to help with everything. And oh yes, the Villa was purely amazing, it was so clean all the time, pool is so clean and nice and the yard is like a really clean mini jungle. It honestly felt like a dream to open your eyes in this place. You can also order a massage to the villa which was mind blowingly good. I recommend the Kutus kutus deep healing massage. And also the area is quiet and feels really safe to be there. This experience at the Melody house was awesome, and you will miss out if you dont stay here.

burada kaldığım süre boyunca mutluydum. ketut her şeyden önce çok iyi bir insan. müslüman olduğumuzu görüp, biz sormadan kahvaltıda domuz ürünü olmadığını belirtti. gece 22:00’dan sonra check-in yapmamıza rağmen bizi kapıda karşıladı. her gün istediğimiz saatte kahvaltımız geldi, her gün evimiz temizlendi ve toparlandı. HARİKA HAVUZ. ketut sim kartı almamda, para bozdurmamda, kahve temin etmemde (yeterli zamanım olmadığından rica ettim) bana hep yardımcı oldu. kendisi eve çok yakındır ve her zaman seve seve yardım eder. evden ana caddeye 1 dakikalık bir yürüme mesafesi var, bu yol şirin ve diğer komşuların samimi gülümsemeleriyle dolu bir yoldur. ana caddeye çıkınca etrafta güzel kafeler mevcut. ubud merkeze grab çağırarak 10 dakika içinde ulaştık ve sorun yaşamadık. NOT: ana caddeden eve yürürken 7-8 basamaklı bir merdivenin olduğu ve bebek arabalı ziyaretçilerin zorlanabileceği bilinmelidir, ayrıca komşuların ZARARSIZ köpekleri bebekleri korkutabilir :) (biz bunu bilerek geldik)
Très belle Villa et un accueil extraordinaire ! La villa est très propre et Ketut prend soin de ses invités ! Le petit déjeuner est très bon et ketut propose de louer des scooter pour ses invités ! tout est fait pour le calme le repos la détente et dans la bienvaillance !
Pasamos unos días increíbles en esta maravillosa villa. Ketut y su familia nos hicieron sentir como en casa. La ubicación está genial, te permite visitar muchos lugares de la isla, pero lo mejor es la tranquilidad del alojamiento, es un verdadero paraíso, disfrutamos mucho nuestra piscina privada. Todo esta muy cuidado y limpio. Ketut siempre está pendiente de ti y te ayuda en todo lo que necesites. Todos los días te preparan un increíble desayuno y si tienes algún tipo de alergia no hay problema, ketut te ofrece diferentes opciones. Gracias Ketut por todo, ojalá vernos pronto!
The owner Wita's house is just a few houses down the ally. He was very helpful with our needs, he arranged our pick up and tours with his driver friends . His wife made good breakfast for us everyday. The villa is clean and spacious. You could walk to the Ubud center in abou 20 minutes, and Wurung eats along the way. Gojek and Grab are also easy to get. We enjoyed our stay with the Balinese people!🙏
Absolutely amazing stay, the garden was beautiful and we could not have asked for a better villa in Ubud. Ketut made us a delicious breakfast including fresh fruit every morning setting us up for the day. We used his brother Suka for a tour guide/driver for our whole stay which was super useful to explore. They were both extremely friendly, helpful and made our stay perfect. 100% recommend this villa and thank you both😊.

수영장도 깨끗하게 관리계속 해주시고 3박4일있는동안 깨끗히 청소도 해주셨습니다. 다만 샤워기가 교체할수있는그런게아니고 벽에 붙어있는거라 필터 가져가도 사용을 못하였네요 ㅎㅎ 안쪽까지 쭉 들어가야하는게 들어가는길에 개가 3-4마리 정도 있는데 짖고 달려들어서 쪼끔 무서웠어요ㅠ 그런거 빼곤 숙소도 깨끗하고 일단 조식으로 주시는 오물렛 맛집이였어요 ㅎㅎ
This is easily the best experience I’ve ever had with any Airbnb I’ve stayed at both abroad and in the states. Ketut was responsive, helpful, and was very easy to message. His brother was also very helpful and gave us transport from the airport and helped show us around. If you want a peaceful romantic and perfect location for visiting Ubud staying with Ketut is a must!

We really enjoyed our stay with Ketut! Place was clean and he made us breakfast each morning which was super sweet. Location was great, we climbed mount batur and was able to get collected right outside our door! Really good
Our stay at Melody House was perfect. The villa is really well located (you can go to Ubud center by foot) and very quiet. Photos really match the reality with a beautiful swimming pool, a clean house and a really nice bed ! Ketut and his family are very kind and will answer all your needs everyday (special requests, driver, ….) Their breakfast are perfect with fresh juices / fruits every morning. Ketut is a superhost and really deserves his 5 stars on AirBnB. Our trip was memorable thanks to him 🥰 I 100% recommend this place for your stay in Ubud.
Ketut's place is a little paradise, welcoming and peaceful. Ketut is very professional and do his best to assure his hosts have a pleasant time. We tried the massage from his sister in law and the rice terrace tour drived by his brother : we totally recommend it !
Séjour excellent dans le logement proposé par Ketut qui au delà de l hébergement nous a proposé une véritable immersion dans la vie et les traditions balinaises. L’endroit est paisible ce qui est précieux dans la ville trépidante d’Ubud. Ketut peut s’occuper de tout (location de scooter, chauffeur privé…) pour rendre le séjour confortable. Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent, nous recommandons !
Wir wurden direkt herzlich empfangen mit einem Begrüßungsgetränk. Uns wurde alles ausführlich erklärt und wir Ketut hat uns keinen Wunsch offen gelassen. Er ist super zuvorkommend, wir sind dankbar für so einen tollen Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war immer frisch und mit Liebe von seiner Frau Wayan zubereitet. Vor allem die Smoothies waren besonders lecker. Nach unseren Ausflügen fanden wir unser Apartment immer geputzt und sehr sauber wieder. Das kleine Haus hat einen unglaublichen Scham und wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist eine absolute Wohlfühloase. Es ist sehr ruhig gelegen und man hat absolut seine Privatsphäre. Wir haben sogar unseren Aufenthalt um 2 Tage verlängert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke für die tolle Zeit hier !!!
You must stay here when you visit Ubud! Ketut and his wife welcomed us graciously. The apartment was even better than the photos. We had a private pool, delicious breakfast everyday, welcome drink, very clean room, and helpful recommendations. They also cleaned our room daily while we were out which was very kind. Ketut treated us like his family and we are so grateful. Grabs were easy to receive from this location. The bed was very comfortable.
Ketut is an excellent host! He was very responsive before we arrived. When we arrived Ketut and his family welcomed us. He made us breakfast every morning including fresh fruits and really went above and beyond for us. Location was fine for us and can easily arrange taxi pick up. Thank you Ketut!
Ketut was very helpfull with everything we asked for. He knows the area and how you can get the best experience. The breakfasts was two full plate with juice and he was preapering it as we choose. The house was clean. The pool was clean. House is like 10 minute walk and 5 minute motorbike away from ubud market. Ketut can arraenge you everything you ask for better prices.

Ketut was the most attentive, sincerest, and friendly host we have ever had. I can't say enough good things about Ketut's place! Firstly, it's a modern villa, but actually tucked away inside of its own family village, so rather than feeling like you are in busy Ubud, you feel like you are living in a village the entire time, walking past chickens and local families. It's a little walk off the main street, so it's far from any possibility of hearing motorbikes (which was a problem I had elsewhere in Bali). The place itself is super comfy, and they provide daily delicious freshly cooked breakfast and cleaning. Then once you are out, it's a very short ride to Ubud, and there are multiple cafes a short walk away. Location, the home, the host, the environment; absolutely everything was perfect! I was there for an entire month and typically something goes wrong with an AirBnB for this long a time, but it was incredibly smooth, so I will absolutely be back again! Thanks so much Ketut!
Staying in Ketut’s beautiful villa was the best choice that we could have done in Ubud. The villa has a wonderful garden full of plants, and nice swimming pool area, with crystal clean water. You will enjoy the greenery and singing birds. The location is very quite, about 100 meters from the street entrance into the family property. Internet was very good and reliable to work, if needed. The villa is equipped with extra workstation. Ketut and his wife Wayan treated us as family members and allowed us to experience a lot of their wonderful ceremonies. Ketut is always ready to tell you a lot about Bali’s culture and religion. Our stay here was by far more than just a Airbnb accommodation. Wayan prepared us a delicious breakfast everyday and they change towels and bed linen every three. They helped us with any request or issue we had extremely quick. It was a life experience that we will never forget.

We had the most wonderful stay at melody house. Ketut and Wayan made our stay very enjoyable. When we first arrived he told us that he makes all his guests feel like king and queen and he REALLY did. They truely went above and beyond for us to make us feel like at home and it was great that they could also arrange a driver for us. The stay is at a great location close to the city and Restaurants. Staying there we got to experience the true Balinese culture and were able to see the inside of Balinese homes. So grateful we got to experience this amazing place, can’t wait to be back again♥️
We had the most wonderful stay in Ubud at Ketut and Wayan's place. It was a mini paradise hidden at the back of their property among nature and yet was a short (15 minute walk) into the city centre. We immediately felt at home and were treated every morning to a delicious breakfast. Ketut was always helpful and very responsive whenever we needed help with anything or any tips for the city. He also arranged to have his brother Agus pick us up from the airport and bring us to the property which made the trip very easy and comfortable. The accommodation itself was very clean and cosy and the pool was gorgeous. My boyfriend and I had to work during our stay and the wifi was more than adequate (average 50Mbps). Also if you're a big coffee fan there is a nice cafe almost right next door. Thank you Ketut and Wayan! We hope we can come back and stay again soon.

Ketut and his family treated us like one of their own and further cements the beautiful nature of the people from Bali. We had a lovely time in this villa. Tucked away in delightful settings, it caters for all your needs with a pool, garden, kitchen and huge bed! The shower is really relaxing and we were treated to breakfast every morning by Ketut's wife. The family are so helpful organising a bike for us to ride and also ensured our laundry was cleaned for us and ready the next day. We were really sad leaving Ketut and his family and vowed to return some day. You would travel the world over to meet more kinder and welcoming people.

We had a lovely stay with Ketut and his wife Wayan. The little house is well equipped and the private pool is great on a hot day. The breakfast every morning was beyond expectation and Ketut was always available and responsive when communicating.

Ketut and Wayan went above expectations during our stay at Melody House! Every day breakfast and cleaning services were provided and the communication with the host was perfect. For breakfast, Ketut took really good care of us, and provided various meals (Pancakes, nasi goreng, scrambled eggs, fruits). The internet connection worked smoothly (we also worked from here for couple of days and had video calls as well). After coming back from Nusa Penida, Ketut offered us fruits and cake, as it was late night and raining. We really felt like being part of the family during our 1 week stay and taken care of, which is something you don’t find so often. We will definitely recommend this place to others visiting Ubud! Big thanks for this experience!
What a gorgeous private oasis… having your own pool & space was great for a mid holiday unwind a tad confusing finding the place through a family compound but Ketut was great in helping & assisting when needed. breakfast is only included if you stay 3 nights!! but we were lucky enough to have a beautiful breakfast before we left after the 2nd night. close to cafes & warungs.. a quiet part of ubud which was lovely highly recommend

My partner and I had the most incredible stay at Melody house! Ketut and his family are exceptional hosts and went well out of their way to ensure we had a perfect holiday. Melody house is a beautiful jungle oasis and is incredibly private and peaceful. We really loved the pristine swimming pool and beautiful, large bedroom. Ketut and his family brought us a delicious breakfast spread every morning which was the perfect way to start the day. Ketut also accommodated a very late checkin and checkout, due to our late night fights, which we were incredibly appreciative of. He also arranged for our airport transfer and assisted us in renting a scooter for the week (definitely a highlight of our trip and allowed us to move around Ubud with ease.) We highly recommend Melody house to anyone seeking a peaceful oasis whilst still being close enough to the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. Ketut insieme alla sua moglie sono stati veramente degli ottimi host, si sono resi super disponibili fin dal inizio e hanno soddisfatto ogni nostra richiesta. La struttura è come dalle foto, veramente esotica, il letto è davvero comodo e il bagno è sempre pulito. La casa è stata pulita ogni giorno dopo che uscissimo. La colazione è stato il servizio migliore decisamente , Ketut ci chiedeva l’orario è una conferma per portarci una stupenda colazione con frutta tipica, succhi freschi e delle stupende omelette. Per riguarda alle zanzare non abbiamo avuto particolari problemi visto che la casa è provista di anti zanzare. Ci è stato proposto un servizio navetta guidato per il cugino del proprietario, Agus ci ha meravigliato con le storie del suo paese e religione portandoci nei posti più belli di Bali. Consigliato 100% , ottima qualità prezzo.
Ketut and his family were really friendly and easy to communicate with and made us breakfast each morning. The villa was very clean and has good air con and amenities. Ubud centre is around a 25 minute walk but is very hilly.

Wir waren 2 Wochen in dieser tollen Villa und waren sehr begeistert von der Gastfreundschaft von Ketut und seiner Frau Wayan. Sie waren sehr aufmerksam und haben uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wurde abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Die Villa ist ganz hinten im Innenhof der Familie und man sieht so eine andere, sehr authentische Seite von Bali. Dennoch ist man total privat abgelegen in der Villa. Jeder hat uns immer freundlich begrüßt! Die Villa ist sehr gut ausgestattet, vor allem das Bett war super bequem! We’re perpetual travelers, so our experience at Melody House was a little different than what we’re used to. Mr. Ketut and his family are wonderful people who aim to attend to your every need. Rarely did a day go by without a check-in from the host regarding how our stay was going. The villa itself is privately located deep within a family compound. It is the last villa in the compound so there is ample privacy. When you enter the compound you are greeted by a beautiful garden area, a pool, and the outdoor kitchen. Inside the villa you’ll find the main bedroom area, an attached office area, and the bathroom. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve slept on in a while! The office area was excellent with a comfortable table, chair, and daybed. The bathroom had an indoor toilet, and a fantastic outdoor shower. The outdoor kitchen was very well furnished as well. We loved that Mr ketut brought us fresh drinking water every few days. The 3 day cleaning service that was included and the optional add-on breakfasts were very nice as well. Wayan, Mr Ketut’s wife, even baked a cake for my girlfriends birthday! All in all a very pleasant stay with 5 star service ⭐️

Kleines privates Paradies. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt und Ketut kümmerte sich zu jeder Uhrzeit um Fragen und Probleme und ist sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war eines der besten, dir wir je hatten. Alles in allem war es ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt, dem es an nichts fehlte. Sehr zu empfehlen!
I highly recommend booking with Melody House if you are planning to visit Ubud. We had a fantastic four night stay at the villa and will hopefully visit again soon. One aspect of this property that really stood out to us was the hospitality. Ketut and his family were incredibly welcoming and friendly, giving us recommendations for things to see and even grabbing our favorite fruits from the local market for breakfast. The villa was clean and well maintained. Ketut also provided a great freshly cooked breakfast each morning. My girlfriend is vegan and he accommodated with tasty plant-based Balinese dishes that I enjoyed too. The location is also perfect for people who want to be able to walk to restaurants and shops and then settle down for the night away from the noise. I recommend the Campuhan Ridge Walk for a nearby hike with gorgeous views! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly stay at Melody House again!
We had a great stay, the villa was impeccably clean, Ketut and his family were highly attentive to every detail of our stay in their villa. Being served breakfast every morning was a very nice touch with eggs, fresh fruit and juice. Something I have never experienced before at an Airbnb. It was all delicious. Having the opportunity to stay in a family property was a really nice experience to experience how families live. Overall the stay in Ubud was incredibly comfortable and we would definitely stay with Ketut again.
The house and the villa are amazing, it's a great pool where you can relax and a very confortable bed to rest. Ketut and his family are so nice. Every morning they prepare you a very tasty breakfast with omelette, fruits, chocolate, juice... We have had a very good experience in Melody's!!
We had the best time staying with Ketuts family. They are such beautiful people who go out of their way to offer the best possible service. Their son has a nice car and will look after you all day, pick up and drop off from the airport and will take you anywhere for a small price. The place was beautiful, very clean and quiet and the breakfast was amazing. This is definitely a five star rating for us. We stayed at many places over the years and this would be right at the top of the list. Highly recommend!

We were glad to be in villa with nice and clean private swimming pool, green yard and plenty of flowers. Breakfast was tasty with fruits and fresh juices. The host was always able to adjust the time of the breakfast for us. Villa is very clean, has air-conditioning, kitchen with everything needed, free drinking water, antimoskito lamp inside and hot water in the shower. From accomodation to Ubud center 20 minutes by walk. Host was friendly and helpful. He arranged picked up from the airport for us.
I want to say, that our staying in Melody house with my husband was unforgettable. We really enjoyed it. The house has really comfortable bed, and interesting tropical shower. We have really delicious breakfast every day. Also, our villa was cleaned every day. So, we felt there as in the 5 star hotel. We highly recommend all tourists to visit Melody house. You will feel there very comfortable.

Melody House is just amazing! 10/10 ♥️ This villa is private, clean, spacious, it has everything you need! True Indonesian hospitality is felt immediately when you step through the entrance. To get to the house, you need to pass through their living community, which is amazing because you get to see how do locals live. The family is beyond kind and helpful and will make sure you got everything you need and that your vacation is perfect. Whatever you need, feel free to ask Ketut. He will arrange from breakfast, additional fresh fruit, to motorbikes and laundry without any difficulties. The house itself is gorgeous - huge comfy bed with great mattress, comfy pillows, perfect AC, open-air shower, a kitchenette and dining table, to a office space with a day bed. The pool is fantastic. Water temperature is the best during hot, humid days, but also terrific in the evening. We are so happy we spent our first 7 days in Bali right here in Melody House. The center of Ubud is just 12 min by bike, and you have 3 excellent warungs nearby where you can take cheap but extra delicious meals. Please don’t hesitate to book Melody House, especially if you are a couple. It will be your private paradise in the middle of Ubud. You get to enjoy true Balinese fairytale for an unbelievable price. Melody House is an amazing hidden little paradise my boyfriend and I got to stay in throughout our entire vacation in Bali. It's located at the back of Ketut's big compound and at the house itself is at the border of a jungle! It was peaceful, quiet, all the time, and there were few restaurants, convenience stores, and a laundry service nearby within walking distance. The main things I loved about Melody House was the bed, shower, private pool, and Ketut. The bed was so comfy and spacious with big puffy pillows. I would sleep so soundly and deep then wake up refreshed and ready for the day. The shower is a little open roof room that is separated but attached to the washroom by a door. I loved feeling the sun and the humid air while showering, as well as the live plants occupying a corner. However, because it's open roof you can walk into a little gecko in the corner and sometimes you might end up showering in the rain, which wasn't an issue for us but you'd have to always keep the door closed or else you could let anything into the rest of the house. The pool was completely private with tall fauna and walls blocking you from view of any neighbouring houses. The pool is about 5'7 deep and came with a ledge so you can sit in the water. Water was always super clean because there's a hidden filtration room underneath so you're never swimming in dirty water. We spent most of our time in the pool whenever we were home and was our great past time if we weren't out exploring. Finally, I can't say enough of how Ketut and his wife went above and beyond to provide us with sincere hospitality. He gave me a plate of aloe vera leaves for my sunburn. He took me to a local cell phone shop to buy a sim card. He took my boyfriend out to exchange money. And he helped us find a driver (The driver, Kadek, was fantastic!). Every day they provided breakfast, cleaned the outside and inside of the house. They'd turn on the porch lights if we were coming home late at night so we wouldn't have to walk back in the dark. Because we were in a jungle, Ketut provided us with several insect repellent items we had to use and sometimes he would set them up himself if we weren't home. They'd change all the towels every now and then so we would have new towels. And he'd even bring down the rain covers when it rained while we were out. He sincerely took care of us, asked us to join him and his family to the local festival at their temple and even provided us traditional clothes.Everything Ketut and his family did for us was remarkable. Vilaa is located in a quiet and peaceful place, not a noisy Ubud. But everything interesting can be reached on foot for 15-20 minutes. Ketut met us and helped with our luggage, told us about the most important things around: he recommended restaurants, places and roads. He greeted us with coconut and prepared delicious breakfasts and fruits for us with his wife. He takes care of the comfort. He saved us in the rain. Helped with transport recommendation and made pleasant surprises. In the open kitchen you can cook food, drink tea in the evenings. The villa has everything you need - even huge towels. The pool is clean, it's nice. The water warms up very well in a day. The workplace is comfortable. You can work for a laptop, so as not to disturb the one who sleeps in the room. Separately, we recommend ordering young coconuts. They're delicious. The kitchen has everything you need even to open the coconut for drinking. Next to the villa there are small shops and 4 restaurants / cafes. There is a large supermarket within walking distance. To the center of Ubud - 15-20 minutes on foot. Many interesting sights nearby. Ketut's place is exactly as on pictures, somewhat secluded area that gives plenty of privacy and time to recharge. The private pool is a gem and is of a great size. Definitely gives the advantage compared to other places without private pools or with very small ones. Ketut is very hospitable, very responsive and understanding. On the first night we left the shower door and light open which was an invitation to a lot of bugs. Ketut has probably thought about it as we found anti-bug sprays etc in the villa, which was very helpful. Ketut also sent his wife to make sure that the bathroom is clean from the bugs. This is an amazing private villa that gives you lots of peace and quiet time to recharge, to make sure you get that experience it is also situated very close to nature, so make sure you realize that nature is going to be near you :) Ketut's breakfasts are really tasty and it was something I looked forward to every morning! Ketut is super accommodating to your day and is able to prepare the breakfast in the morning or more in the afternoon if you're having a lazy day and want to sleep in. In the middle of our Bali trip I got sick (nothing to do with the villa) and Ketut was very sweet to try and be as accommodating as possible, bringing tea and some bread for me to eat. I would suggest to rent a scooter, as it will make your life much easier with seeing things around, shopping or going for lunch and dinner. Words are not enough to describe how we feel about this peaceful place we like to call our home in Bali. “Melody House” The location of the villa, is perfect. Penestanan offers you the ability to fully immerse yourself in the culture and authenticity of the Balinese way of life and make real connections with the locals as they go about their everyday life. The villa is located an easy stroll towards the back of the families compound and getting to know and spend time with the local families during our stays at Melody House is always the highlight of our time in Bali . Melody House is a secret oasis. Once you step through the entrance gate you have your own private piece of paradise. The accommodation is exceptional. Clean, beautifully decorated room, comfortable bed (and pillows) and the day bed is just gorgeous. The Air conditioning was fantastic and wifi was a lot better then some big chain hotels!! The outside kitchen was well equipped for our needs and we enjoyed a morning coffee on the front porch or a card game at the kitchen table at night. The bathroom again exceeded our expectations and personally we loved the open roof shower with plants along the base. It really adds a unique touch. The garden is well maintained and lush and the pool was just the perfect way to start, finish or even enjoy an entire day. There are a couple of cute little cafes a short stroll away. We particularly like Kopi Desa and Warung Ting Ting. There’s a few local shops nearby for drinks, ice creams and daily necessities and the Bintang supermarket is also about a ten minute car drive (or you can walk) for larger requirements. The Rice fields are an easy walk from the villa and are extremely beautiful to see especially at sunrise or sunset. The beginning of Campuhan Ridge is also about a 20 minute walk away located in Ubud as well. You can walk to Ubud in about 15 minutes and the walk again is pleasant, safe and offers more Insite into Bali and little cafes along the way. Melody House is well located and easy distance to many site seeing activities including Bali zoo, atv riding, tirta empul, Campuhan ridge mason elephant sanctuary, Bali swings and so forth.... You will see ceremonies, traditional dress, offerings, and many aspects of Balinese life while venturing out of Melody House but you will also enjoy privacy and peacefulness in the confines of your villa. We love Ketut, Wayan and their family and extended family. Our time at Melody House is always valued and loved and we look forward to going back again. They are wonderful hosts 🙏 and a wonderful family. Melody House is always in our hearts.
An amazing place for a couple on holidays or those wanting to explore ubud! The location is fantastic as everything is only a quick 5 minute scooter ride and there are many walking distance cafes nearby. The room was always cleaned and bed made everyday whilst we were out exploring! Cooked breakfast every morning was also very nice! Highly recommended for those wanting to stay in ubud!

Wonderful place with outstanding hospitality. My husband and I have been traveling through SE Asia for 3 months and this was our favorite accommodations of the whole trip so far. Stylish, sparkling clean space with a very livable layout, strong A/C, and good fast wifi. It was great to have the 2nd room with desk for getting some work done. We loved being able to cook our own meals in the outdoor kitchen (the blender for smoothies was an extra nice amenity) and the pool area was just lovely. Ketut and his family are very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need for a perfect stay. The villa is situated at the end of the host’s family compound, so you will see local people going about their daily lives and greeting you warmly as you come and go. Still, once you enter the Melody House gates, it feels very private. The villa and pool are cleaned daily and there is a delicious breakfast available on request. The location is walkable to the main touristic part of Penestanan, but away from the crowds and noise (and besides, you might not ever want to leave the villa!) Overall we had a great stay at Melody House and would recommend this very special place to anyone visiting Ubud.

My stay at melody house was amazing! The villa is modern, with a really functional layout and a great place to have as an office to work online. Wita and his family are such loving people! It makes a huge difference! I work online so the extra office / extra bed room is really useful. The facilities were all great inclusive super cool aircon and pool! Wits cleans the place regularly and makes sure you have everything you need while staying at the Villa. The garden lights up at night beautifully and the kitchen is equipped with a blender for making smoothies. The owners have been such great hosts.
