Exploring Designer Villa Walk to Surf+Beach+Cafés | Maid left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Designer Villa Walk to Surf+Beach+Cafés | Maid was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Canggu plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Designer Villa Walk to Surf+Beach+Cafés | Maid painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Kitchen area requires update with cupboards to keep out ants and to store food and utensils. Pans handles were broken and dangerous . Huge space in the roof that we packed with cardboard and a cushion to keep out a stray cat that got in first night and upended the rubbish bin. Room 3 in a separate wooden hut was extremely dusty and dirty and large spaces between the wooden cladding made it open to the elements. Very hot during the day. We had a 3 month old baby and breast feeding Mum in there and it was not adequate. The other two rooms were ok but no sign of any rugs on the floors as per pictures no toilet paper holder and bin with broken lid. The pool water made toddler of 3 years sick as chemicals were not measured correctly. This accommodation is certainly not 5 star but the location, being walking distance from the beach and good restaurants was the only positive. This place needs a complete upgrade to the buildings and garden. Not value for money.
Made was very responsive and friendly in answering my enquiries. The place probably just wasn’t for us — suitable to those who are used to wearing footwear in the house. The aircons also couldn’t get the room down to temperatures below around 23-24. Unfortunately too there were a few things that were missing from the villa when we arrived, such as hand soap, hairdryer, stove gas & running out drinking water. Feel this should’ve been part of the quality check before our arrival. Again, Made was quick and gracious to respond to any of these queries, while making sure we had what we needed as quickly as she could manage.
We stayed at Made’s villa over Christmas. She was very easy to communicate with, very responsive as was the housekeeper Made. However we were expecting a luxury villa which this was clearly not… the place felt run down.. the bathrooms very basic, the 3rd independent bedroom had a musty smell. Basic amenities such as shower gel, hair dryer were missing. While Made was very responsive and offered to buy this for us .. our stay was short and over a Sunday so I declined her offer as it wouldn’t have reached us in time. It was the wet season in Bali so mosquitoes were expected but it would’ve been nice to have a mosquito spray accessible without having to ask. On the positive .. the villa has some amazing restaurants nearby which we enjoyed ..
Like last year, the hosting was excellent: timely and clear communication, always here to help and very kind. We got a last minute issue with the worksite that started next door literally on our day of arrival but the team did their best to make up for it. We love the house location.
Made’s place was spotlessly clean, very close to the beach and a short walk to Perernan’s restaurants and shops. The beach was extremely close with the main Canggu beach only about 10 minutes walk along the beachfront. The pool was great to cool down in.
Terrific location near all of our fav places to eat in Perenenan. Also, away from any construction noise. The living room is able to be enclosed but does not have air-conditioning only fans, which we didn't realise. Beds were comfortable. Madeh was quick to respond with any issues.
Overall our stay was really good however two of the rooms were without hot water and everyone had to use the one shower. This made the accommodation not good for the price. We had asked Mann times during our stay for this to be fixed.
I love the decor of this place and the location, and how helpful the host is. However, there are lots of mosquitoes and because of open air design, the house feels a little humid. But in the end it's soooo cute and worth the price. :-)
A few little hiccups but they were quickly rectified, great location, nice and clean.
- Location is good, walking distance to the beach and cafes and restaurant and a good gym - for some reason during our stay the water from shower smells like dirt and rusty metal; and there is no shelf in the shower room which means u have to walk a few steps to get the shower gel and shampoo.. - staff is super friendly and responsive. Three rooms that can easily accommodate 6 people
Great location and good villa for a small group!
Amazing location, just a very short walk from a nice beach with good waves for bodysurfing (lots of regular surfers there too). Great coffee and juice at the place between the house and the beach and nice restaurants just around the corner as well. We loved the house also, very comfortable, the kids really enjoyed the pool, and my wife and I really liked having our own little separate bungalow. Made was great with service and communication and helped us arrange the things we needed. We definitely recommend this place and would stay again.
The house is beautiful rustic/ shabby chic beach shack vibes in a perfect location, steps from the beach and walking distance to so many pererenan restaurants and cafes. The pool and garden were a big size and the open plan living room was spacious. What stood out the most is the way Made and her team responded to address an issue. They went over and above to accommodate us and make sure we felt comfortable during our stay. Thank you!
The villa was a very cute house with a perfect location right next to beach and all the restaurants. The house was super clean and madeh was amazing in responding. Over all I was very happy and will definitely recommend it

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. It is charming and quiet and in a great location a 2 min walk to the beach with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. We loved Perenanan- it is less busy than canggu with tree lined streets and lane ways and charming shops and restaurants. We had breakfast in 7am Bakers every morning- great coffee, fruit platter and pastries! Highly recommend this place and Madeh was super friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed the place, close walk to the beach, less than a minute. the pool was nice and cool, loved the open doors. Plenty of rooms and restrooms for all the guests.
Great location, restaurants next door and all around the area. The beach is close and walkable as well! The main living area and pool are all open to each other and the bedrooms are private and have ACs and their own bathrooms. One bedroom/bath is in a separate building (but very close) and all are private and beautiful. Small pool but perfect for cooling off and relaxing right next to the kitchen and living room areas. Very kind and helpful host and house helper.
I stayed here with my husband & our three children and we really enjoyed our stay. We had ample room, privacy, it was quiet, even though the main drag is bustling. The restaurants & coffee shops were amazing, the beach was so close & beautiful. Gorgeous sunsets every evening. Beautiful pool & gardens. Loved it & hope to return. 💕

We loved our time at this villa. The location was very convenient, and the delicious restaurant (literally) next door was a bonus. Madeh, the housekeeper, was warm and accommodating. Our whole whole family enjoyed seeing her every day, and she kept the home spotless. Even when we needed things (like a car rental), Madeh provided great assistance. We also can't say enough about Ester, the babysitter recommended by our host. She was amazing with our 2 young girls, and both quickly fell in love with her. She played with them, took them to the beach, and even put them to bed for us several times so we could enjoy a few dates. Ester was one of the main highlights of our trip and gave us peace of mind while my husband and I explored nearby. The area was more touristy than we expected before arriving, but it offered an unprecedented amount of convenience, even with days of unrelenting rain. We had a great trip to Bali because of this comfortable house and its amazing staff.
We cannot recommend this place highly enough. It was perfect -spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We were offered daily cleaning and it was spotless. Large comfortable beds and great showers. We had a lovely welcome from Madeh and were very well looked after. Some excellent restaurants all within close proximity and the beach a few minutes walk away which was very clean. Our first trip to Bali to meet our daughter and family and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you Made🙏
Great Villa in a fantastic location. Many many lovely bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk yet once inside the Villa it’s really peaceful and private. Made was a very proactive and responsive host and gave us lots of great recommendations. Madeh our maid was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
It had all the basics to make this a good stay for us to have a few days at the beach. The location is fantastic and that is what stands out the most. Clean and open living space with good AC in bedrooms.

Bali has been on my wishlist for years, so this trip was important and probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. My family and I stayed in 3 different accommodations over a 3-week period, and Made's was by far the best. The villa is beautiful and spacious. Each room was comfortable and clean. The pool was so relaxing, and the walk to the beautiful black sand beach was an easy 2 to 3 minutes. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and food delivery and rides with Bali's version of Uber are so easy. I love than Canggu seems to be a very health conscious area, and everyone was so warm and kind. Our host was easy to communicate with, and she, along with the young lady who helps manage and maintain the villa helped to make this such a memorable and special trip. If I ever have the opportunity to travel this far again, I hope this home is still available.

Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben. Wir waren als Familie mit zwei Teenagern und einem 8-jährigem Kind fast zwei Wochen dort. Und haben tagweise Ausflüge gemacht und einmal vier Tage woanders. Die Fussläufigkeit zum Meer sowie zu den Restaurants waren genial. Die anderen Straßen in Canggu wären uns viel zu laut und zu voll gewesen. Diese Straße ist noch gut zu Fuß zu erlaufen. Das Einzige was zu bemängeln wäre- da können die Besitzer aber nichts dafür ist- der Lärm. Nebenan ist direkt ein Restaurant und seitlich ein Resort. Deshalb ist es einfach nicht absolut ruhig. Die Häuser sind zudem nicht komplett dicht. Mit Oropax- hatte ich keine Probleme … Aber meine Kinder ab und an schon. Das muss man einfach wissen - aber die Lage ist genial. Die Hausdame Made ist besonders hervorzuheben- sie hat sich wahnsinnig nett um uns gekümmert. Vielen herzlichen Dank Alles Gute für alle
Our family really enjoyed the stay at the villa. Location is great. Close to the beach and easy to get around if one takes it easy. Quiet area. And good restaurants/cafes nearby. We had some health issues in the family and Madeh and Made were very helpful to organize the medical support. Madeh was also easy to reach, very responsive and friendly. We’ve enjoyed the stay despite our unfortunate health issues not linked to the villa stay. Thank you very much to Madeh and Made!
Beautiful villa, really well looked after and nice to stay there. It's very close to the beach and a few nice restaurants. There's not a huge amount of stuff to do nearby and it's a fair walk to central Canngu, so you'll want to hire a scooter or get taxis or whatever. The staff were lovely too.
We had a wonderful stay at this Villa. the location was perfect for us - with beautiful restaurants and cafes all around us and the beach at the end of the street. We were an easy walk to Echo beach or the shops and restaurants of the high street. Marne and the team at Made Bali were responsive, helpful, warm and friendly. The Villa was gorgeous with a lovely open layout, generous spaces, high ceilings and a beautiful pool. Beds were super comfy, mosquito nets provided. We had everything we needed and loved the proximity to everything - it was all-round amazing! The privacy and quiet was also brilliant considering where we were - in the heart of everything.

Les petits ont pu faire un dernier cours de surf ! Merci également à Mahé qui nous a préparé d'excellents petits déjeuners !

Gorgeous villa in the most perfect location. Just a few minutes from the beach with a fab breakfast place just up the road and a delicious pizza restaurant next door! Lovely spacious living room and chilling area opening out onto the pool - perfect place for relaxing! Would definitely recommend!

This great villa is situated perfectly In the area of Pererenan. We arrived rather late and Madeh was kindly waiting for us with a welcome pizza! We actually stayed in this specific villa only for two nights as there was an issue in one of the bathrooms. The host moved us to their other, a bit bigger villa just next door. The move went smoothly with the help of Madeh and Sayu. Both villas are great, nice cool bedrooms, big living area and a nice pool. (this specific villa seemed a bit bigger in the photos while the other was vice versa) What is the absolute best about these villas (except for Madeh and Sayu) is the LOCATION. You have all the best restaurants in walking distance (very rare in Bali) and very short walk to the beach to watch the sunset every night. All the best services but not too busy. We really enjoyed ourselves <3 Thank You!
Absolutely wonderful place. Looks just like the pictures. Easy walk to the beach. Surrounded by many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Made is charming and very helpful. The only thing I would change is add a pool raft or lounge as the beam bags are a bit uncomfortable

The place was great, and the communication with the host was easy, very responsive and helpful. You can’t beat the location, it’s perfect! Only watch out is there is no AC in the living area (very common in Bali) so we hung in the bedrooms a lot - or the pool - not bad but worth noting! Everything else was great and we would absolutely stay again!

We loved this villa! The location is PRIME—you can walk to restaurants and shops and the beach is so close! We crossed the bridge to the beach clubs. We never had to get in a car or on a bike! The pool was so enjoyable and the villa was kept very clean. Madeh was wonderfully helpful. We traveled with our 11 month old and it was the perfect space for her as she loves to be on the move! Highly recommend for families traveling with littles. Would 100% stay again!
This house was perfect! Pool was great to come home to after a day in the sun! Beach and restaurants were a short walk. Made was very friendly and welcoming. I’d highly recommend it for your stay in Canguu.
Only place I will stay in Bali! Superb service from our maid Madeh, who was so kind and welcoming but not intrusive. Flexible and helpful, generous with her time. Outstanding decor and cleanliness, great advice from Made about the local restaurants etc- and the beach was around the corner! Couldn’t recommend it more - thank you!

This airbnb was by far my family's favorite place we stayed during our trip across Bali. It was absolutely beautiful and had everything our family of 4 needed for our stay. It's steps to amazing restaurants and the beach. Yet so peaceful outside of the craziness of adjacent Canggu. The pool was kept immaculate. Madeh was incredible. She took care of anything we needed including assistance with laundry and late night check out. We didn't want to leave.
We absolutely loved our stay here. From the moment we got there, we were greeted with amazing hospitality and kindness. Many things about this booking that we can mention that we love, but some of the things that stood out. Was the private path to the beach, All the amazing restaurants and energy and cool things to do and see and shop right in front of where we were staying. The cool architecture how well the kitchen was put together. The vents were comfortable. We had some tiny issues that were fixed by the Ari immediately. And even though it was peaceful at night during the daytime, you could hear a hum next to the pool, not enough to spoil vacation anyway though just close the doors if it bothers you, I’m definitely
L’emplacement de la maison est top dans une rue calme et près de la plage. Le traffic était tellement intense à Canggu, c’est un vrai avantage de pouvoir tout faire à pied. ll y a plein de restaurants tres sympas à côté de la maison : Arte ( italien), Zali (libanais), Bokashi (japonais), Roots ( végétarien)… La maison est très agréable, le salon est grand, bien décoré, les chambres sont confortables. On se sent comme chez soi. La piscine est propre et agréable. À noter que le jardin est petit et il n’y a pas vraiment de place pour se prélasser au calme, surtout si les enfants jouent dans la piscine. Madeh, qui s’occupe de la maison tous les jours, est vraiment adorable

Our stay at this villa was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The pool and beach were perfect for relaxation, and the nearby restaurants were a treat. The host’s recommendations were spot on—we particularly enjoyed the food at Arte and The Shelter. Towards the end of the week, we discovered Bokasih, which had just opened, and it quickly became one of our favorites. The surf lessons and pottery class, recommended by the host, were fantastic activities that our kids loved. A special thanks to the maid, Madeh, who did an exceptional job. The villa was always spotless, and the breakfasts she prepared for us were delicious. She truly made our stay perfect. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend staying at this villa! Amazing location being 2 mins from the beach and in the heart of Canggu, and amazing villa that has all the basic amenities plus a wonderful pool. The caretaker Made is also super responsive and very helpful. My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay here!
This is a wonderful place to stay - a complete oasis in an exciting and happening neighbourhood. It was so nice to be able to retreat to this calm environment whenever we felt like it. Thank you to Made for being such a responsive and caring host.

We loved the location of this villa. A beautifully quiet location surrounded by delicious restaurants. The villa was walking distance to the beach by a private walking track. I do feel it looks better in real life than in the photos too.

Great location, with a few min walk on private path to the beach, with gorgeous sunsets and great waves. In the opposite direction so many great restaurants and breakfast places. Pescado, Zali, Arte and a small Italian eatery that brilliant to name a few. Lovely villa, staff and manager extremely friendly and go out of way to help.
Perfect for us. Not in the busiest area of Canggu but close by. Also nice located to visited Seseh. One of the few streets with a pavement to walk. Villa very convenient. We only used the 2 main bedrooms attached to the open kitchen/living.
The villa is a great place to relax. It is very private, as it is located on a dead-end street, so no one is passing by in front of the property. The house is just as displayed in the pictures, cozy rooms, a nice pool, and a huge open-air kitchen/living area (can be closed using a glass wall). It's 20 meters from the main street, far enough to separate it from the traffic and construction noises. We liked the area as of the beginning of 2024. Pererenan is near Canggu (just ~2 km walking distance, but ~20 mins Grab ride as you need to go around), but way less busy – although many constructions are ongoing (new hotels and restaurants). The villa is very near to the beach (a couple minutes of walking), and also in the vicinity of many great bakeries, restaurants, shops, bars, etc. Our personal favorites were Baro and Baked, make sure to try them if you like great pastries and bread.
La villa est bien située, le restaurant à côté est de très bonne qualité. Les chambres sont très agréables et climatisée. Cependant la pièce principale n’est pas climatisée.
Everything was very pleasant, nice and helpful staff. Convenient location and there is all the infrastructure nearby. Clean pool and all the facilities inside the villa are awesome.

Made ist der perfekte Gastgeber! Immer schnell auf alle Anfragen reagiert, Fahrer vom Flughafen und für Ausflüge organisiert, sofort reagiert, wenn etwas zu reparieren war. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder. Die Umgebung hat tolle Strände zum Surfen, verschiedene Restaurants & Shops.
Everything was perfect, the beach is close and you can walk by to see around. Right next to the villa is a perfect restaurant.

Top 3 Best AirBnb I’ve ever stayed on. Place is better than pictures . Great location surrounded by amazing restaurants and steps to the beach . Made was great and even arrange for motorbikes and helped us with laundry. Pool was sparkly and we loved every little detail at the Villa. We felt better than at home . Living room, kitchen and dining space are so open and view to the private pool. Would come back here without hesitation.

This worked out really well! I needed a last minute booking and Made was very quick to respond and accommodate me, offering to let me stay one night each in adjacent properties. The staff was so kind and helpful, going out of their way to make me comfortable, giving me extra pillows and linens, and helping me move my things from one property to the other. Both places were really pretty and thoughtfully decorated with pleasant lighting. I liked being able to easily and safely walk to the beach as well as to restaurants. Nice oasis to land in.

Our stay at Made Bali's villa was nothing short of incredible. The location was an absolute dream, surrounded by a plethora of outstanding restaurants, with the beach just a leisurely stroll away. The host and maid exceeded all expectations, going above and beyond to ensure our utmost comfort. From seamlessly arranging smooth transfers and providing convenient laundry service to even arranging a scooter delivery, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Their level of care truly made our experience truly unforgettable.

Made's place is in Perenenan Beach, a little distance from action of Canggu. Nice and peaceful with a beautiful pool. I would recommend renting a scooter to get around
We had a great stay at Made Bali’s villa. Location was fantastic within walking distance to lots of excellent restaurants, amenities and the beach. Made was very helpful in organising any request that we had (massages, laundry, transfers etc). We had a few small issues at the Villa and they were all attended to immediately. Made was extremely responsive and easy to reach/communicate with and her housekeeper, Made, was also super helpful. A few extra amenities would have been nice (eg. shampoo/hairdryer) and some areas of the Villa are probably due for an update soon but overall we were very happy with our stay! Thanks Made and Made 🙏

Loved this Villa. We came for a friends birthday and Made was the best! She was so helpful and kind, comes in everyday to clean, assist with laundry services or anything you require help with. The Villa pool was always clean. We loved how quiet and pieceful it is away from all the major hustle and noise of the major towns however You can get to Canggu with a 15 min walk along the beach. Tons of restaurants and supermarkets are all close and the beach is less than 1 min away by foot

This house is just beautiful and bright! The location is great: just some steps to Pererenan Beach and directly around the corner of plenty of hip restaurants, cafes and bars. The house is very well maintained. Made, the owner, always answered to my messages very quickly and tried to help. Made, the maid, was a very kind and calm person who came every morning for a couple of hours to clean the house. She cooked very delicious and typical balinese lunch for us which we enjoyed very much! She also arranged a laundry service and accompanied me - on her motorbike - to a store where I could find balloons and stuff for birthday decoration. The pool is beautiful, too. We can recommend 100% and hope to come back one day
Fantastic stay in the most gorgeous villa walking distance to the beach. The location is just perfect with a short stroll to the beach and all the fabulous restaurants within walking distance. The villa has a spacious airy vibe with a nice pool. The bedrooms are comfy and cool with great bathrooms. The Wi-Fi is literally the greatest I’ve ever encountered and was perfect for my digital uploads and downloads. Highly recommend this gorgeous classical island style villa. It is out of the hustle and bustle of Canggu but a very short drive to Batu bolong or even a stroll along the beach to get La Brisa.
Excellent location: close the the beach with a very good Italian restaurant in front of the house.
