Exploring Experience Your Stay with Local Balinese Family left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Experience Your Stay with Local Balinese Family was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Ubud plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Experience Your Stay with Local Balinese Family painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

우붓 시내와 직선거리는 가깝지만, 우회해서 가야하는 길이라 좀 멀어집니다. 에어비엔비 플러스 처음 이용해보았는데 사진이 깨끗하게 잘 나온거 같아요.. 현지식으로 아주 전통적인 디자인의 집인데 거리가 가까우면 모르겠지만 굳이 묵어야하는 메리트도 모르겠습니다 아침에 조식이 현지식으로 과일과 함께 나오는데 아침 맛있었어요

J’ai passé un bon séjour chez Budi, qui est très accueillant et accessible. Le logement est idéalement situé, avec de nombreux restaurants et cafés nichés dans les environs.

The stay was nice, we were served a tasty breakfast every day and the landlords were very kind. However, despite being said the checkout time is at 12 pm we were rushed to leave earlier and the landlord was mad that we wanted to use as much time as we had. I felt kicked out a little, like they were nice but thanks, next, hurry up. This ruined the experience a little...

Great place to stay! Very relaxing. The only thing is yo I have to be comfortable using an outside bathroom.

The breakfast is just outstanding, as it the kindness of Budi and his wife. This was the first time we went for a AirBnb Plus stay. We did not read the description in detail, but based on Airbnb Plus, the (too) amazing pictures, the reviews and the higher then average rate we expected more. If you want a local experience and explanation of the culture and family living (because this is basically were you will be paying extra for), this is the place to go. But if you have other priorities (like us, we needed to work remotely during our stay), or if you are looking for a good deal, with nice views and all basic ammenities, I would not recommend this airbnb. Still 4 stars because before we checked in, they did send us a message to manage expectations, but at that point, we could not cancel anymore

Nice property situated in the family compound, if you'd like to get a feel for the local life. You can feel part of a community and friendly neighbours too. Budi's mother and his wife Villi prepared us breakfast each day, and they taste really yummy! The family invited us to join their family dinner too which was a really kind offering. It was good to have a kitchen next to the rooms with basic amenities, but the hygiene could be improved. The internet was quite unstable during the 3 days we stayed there - one day it was gone completely (we understand it was due to the bad storm), another day it was very intermittent, so I had to rely on my mobile data for a couple of days to work. We had to cut our stay short as my work was interrupted. If you are looking for somewhere to work with stable wifi, it might be challenging, and the lighting in the room was insufficient too without much sunlight in the room. However, if you are looking for a taste of local stay, this will be a lovely place with welcoming and friendly people.

Vili is an excellent host. So affectionate and caring. Always eager to interact. I am grateful to her for taking care of my father on the day when we went to Nusa Penida Island and my father was alone in the house as he did not accompany us on that day. Thanks Vili. Will never forget the warmth in you. It has really touched me. Also, Komang, who drove us around for sightseeing is a really cool and helpful guy and we were very comfortable with him and felt at home . We felt that a Rice cooker would have been a great addition and fridge and utensils could have been more clean. A door to the kitchen is required as it is outside the house and open to insects, cat and Rain. The best rooms are spacious and well provided. TV , though listed in amenities, is not provided. Bath rooms are classy and well equipped.

Budi and Villi are very nice and helpful for you to have a nice stay. Budi will give you many advice for the visits and help you to organise. Villi makes very good breakfasts.

Budi and Made (mother) are helpful, they are approachable but if you need to contact Budy, it's best to call him, avoid sending instant messaging as it might take a while to response. The overall experience at Budi's place was good, people are friendly, delicious breakfast, my sons love feeding and playing with Benny. I hope the Singapore curry paste given to Made will be a good one for them to try the Singapore Curry Chicken. Cheers

Budi & his family were really kind & welcoming. The place is good for the price, but not as clean or nice as the pictures portray. I expected more. The shower pressure was really bad, and the air conditioning didn’t work super well.

Great experience！Enjoy staying here with my family. Local life，warm host family，nice view，good food in the street. Not very close to the UBud market，around half an hour to walk to there, but not a big problem if you want to experience the real Ubud life with local people.

Budi's place is beautiful, with very traditional Balinese features and very stylish bedrooms and outdoor bathrooms. Budi's mum made us wonderful breakfasts both mornings, the banana pancakes were delicious. Slightly out of town but easy half an hour walk or can hop on the back of a moped! Thanks Budi

What a treat to have stumbled upon Budi’s listing. The grounds are amazing, they keep it squeaky clean and the amount of knowledge he and his family have in regard to Bali and its culture is amazing. If you are in need of a travel guide he does an amazing job curating a day around what you’d like to experience. Would recommend wholeheartedly — I’ll definitely be back! P.s.— the breakfasts are just as amazing as everything else 😁

Budi and Villi are the most excellent hosts I could have imagined. From picking me up at the airport together to allowing me a window into their everyday family and cultural life. From providing helpful tips about getting around safely and the best walks and cafes to Villi's wonderful breakfasts on the gorgeous verandah. I will never forget their generosity and the serenity of their home. This was the best introduction to Bali and a chance to acclimatise and rest before going further afield.

We loved our stay at Budi’s family compound. It was an awesome cultural experience. The home is so peaceful, we spent hours just sitting on the balcony and journalling or drinking tea. The indonesian breakfast that they cooked us every morning was SO good, we especially loved the savoury option. The location is fantastic with many cafes/restaurants/shops all in walking distance. Budi and his whole family are so kind and friendly, it was great to have people we could talk to and get recommendations from. Definitely check out the river carvings down the road, they are beautiful, and if you like massages I highly recommend ‘Made Body Relaxation’, her massages are magical. We 100% recommend this stay. 🙏

Wow, a beautiful place surrounded by the most lovely host family. It was really special to be able to join Budi and his family in this wonderful space. The rooms were very nice and I especially enjoyed sitting outside watching the world go by, being met with lots of smiles and advice. Budi and Villi were the perfect hosts, very knowledgeable and we were treated with a traditional breakfast each morning. We took advantage of going on a day out with Budi and it was brilliant. There are some great places to eat near by - just go wandering and you will find great finds.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Budi et sa famille! Ils sont très accueillants. L’hébergement est très bien situé, à distance de marche de cafés, restaurants, buanderie, dépanneurs et du centre d’Ubud. La douche extérieure est très agréable et les lits sont très confortables. Nous avions des petits déjeuners variés servis chaque matin et c’était délicieux. Budi a aussi organisé un chauffeur pour notre arrivée et pour notre prochaine destination. Bref, nous recommandons à 100%!

We had an amazing few days as a family of 4 staying with Budi. The accommodation is incredible and unique. The daily breakfast was delish. Location is excellent for enjoying the quiet surroundings or walking into Ubud. Budi and his family are so lovely and helpful and we really had the best time. Just wished we had booked for longer!

The place is beautiful, and felt right at home. Budi and his family are very helpful and sweet, much appreciated the hospitality. The place is walkable to ubud centre, and has all amenities required. We also booked an airbnb experience with budi, and had a great time exploring ubud with private recommendations and nice local spots. The balinese breakfast was also a nice and mew experience. Would highly recommend!

Budi is the kindest host you could wish for. He is friendly, helpful, and respectful, and he made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. He has a beautiful community, and you can really feel that warmth the moment you step into the house. We enjoyed our spacious rooms very much and loved the neighborhood as well. Overall, we had a really wonderful time during our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ubud.

Loved staying at Budi’s family home, Budi and his family members were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, making us feel right at home. The generous and fresh Balinese breakfast was a lovely way to start the day. The location is great, peaceful and convenient, with easy access to Ubud. As a bonus, Budi is also a tour guide, and we booked a day tour with him which was a real highlight of our trip, he is also a great photographer! Highly recommend staying here if you want an authentic experience close to Ubud!

We had a wonderful stay at Budi’s place. The location is perfect-close to central Ubud with lots of cafés & restaurants nearby yet much quieter/peaceful. Everything was exactly as described & even better in person. The house is beautiful, comfortable & the breakfast every morning was excellent. What really made this stay special though was Budi & his family. There’s a genuine warmth & simplicity here that’s hard to find. They made us feel like guests in their home rather than visitors at an Airbnb. Budi’s recommendations were spot on- felt like he understood what we would enjoy & pointed us to places that perfectly matched our preferences. Thanks to him we experienced amazing food, beautiful places, & a glimpse of Balinese culture that we might otherwise have missed. Our daughter had a wonderful time here & we’ve already moved to another part of Bali but still find ourselves missing Budi every day. If you’re visiting Ubud & looking for more than just a place to stay, this is it!!

Budi’s home is beautiful, traditional Balinese style with all the amenities you could need. And if not, his family will always be ready to provide or help you with anything. Budi’s family is extremely sweet and genuinely wanted to makes us feel at home. His little daughter was thrilled to bring us the traditional Balinese breakfast every morning. It’s a great opportunity to stay in a beautiful area with a beautiful family in a beautiful home.

We felt so welcome, so taken care of, so at home. Lovely to experience life in the Balinese family community. We went to temple all dressed up and I feel we experienced a magic that only comes from being in the presence of locals. A true guide with great English is Bodi and his family. Very proud and happy to share. I totally recommend this stay.

Die Zeit bei Budi und Villi war einzigartig. Ab dem ersten Moment taucht man in das authentische balinesische Leben ein. Wir haben uns als Teil der Familie gefühlt und zahlreiche Traditionen und Rituale miterlebt. Unsere Töchter haben sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gibt gleich vor der Haustür einen der besten Kaffee‘s Balis und auch die Warungs und Restaurants der Strasse waren einfach top. Beim Nachbarn haben wir Scooter inkl. Kinderhelmen gemietet und hat auch 1a geklappt. Wenn wir wieder nach Bali kommen, dann sicher wieder zu Villi&Budi. Herzlichen Dank.

Stay in this beautiful two-room home in Ubud if you want to be fully immersed in Balinese culture while being surrounded by the kindest and most welcoming family. The home is lovely, with AC and very comfortable beds that make it easy to relax after a day exploring. The most special part of the stay is Budy and his wife. They are incredibly kind and prepare the most delicious Indonesian breakfast every morning, always making sure you have everything you need. The location is also very central, with many cafés within walking distance and plenty of scooter rentals right outside. 100% recommended — stay here!

Good place to stay in Ubud. The entire host family was very friendly and easy to negotiate with. For the breakfast, it’s possible to make special requests if there are medical conditions. Overall, it’s a good place to stay.

We spent 8 nights in Budi's and Chili's home . Absolutely best time first time in Bali. Budi, his wife and daughter picked us up at the airport and safely drove us to his home ( for a great price). We absolutely loved living in the family's compound in our private, beautiful house . Everything was absolutely fine for us. Friendly faces, delicious traditional breakfast with fresh exotic fruit, nice comfortable house and outdoor shower was a nice surprise. Budi is also a tour guide. We booked 3 tours with him. They are fully customized, depending on how busy you want to be. We also love having our morning coffee at Bodega Cafe next door and dinner at the restaurant at the end of the street. I highly recommend Budi and his wife Vili for your next visit to Ubud, Bali.

Budi was a wonderful host, my family of 5 had a wonderful time staying in his family compound. He came to pick us up from the airport and was a very safe relaxed drive. He also took us on a couple of day tours that were suitable for my kids ages. The rooms were very big and spacious and breakfast was beautiful. My kids loved playing with the resident children and it was really nice introduction to Bali. Thank you Budi and family for having us in your home.

Budi ist der beste Gastgeber die wir hatten. Sehr nett, ruhig, hilfsbereit und will gerne alles zeigen und über seine Kultur erzählen. Wir dürfen bei Zeremonie dabei sein. Das war eine Unglaubliche Erfahrung. Da wir vegetarisch sind, hat Budi uns zum Frühstück verschiedene Obstsorten serviert. Obwohl das Frühstück nicht im Preis inbegriffen war, war es von Budi selbst verständlich. Budi ist Reiseführer, so haben wir mit ihm verschiedene Tour gemacht und richtig viel erlebt. Würde ich auf jeden Fall jeden empfehlen mit Budi die Tour zu machen, da er sich bestens auskennt. Internet war sehr gut. Die ganze Familie war sehr nett, besonders die kleine süße Tochter die mit meinem Mädchen gespielt hat. Wenn Ihr Balinesische Kultur kennenlernen wollt dann ist das beste Unterkunft für euch. Wir empfehlen es weiter und würden gerne wieder kommen. Vielen Dank Budi.

Staying with Budi and his family was a highlight of our time in Bali. He is a fantastic host—kind and helpful, generous with his time, and easy to talk to. The family compound is beautiful and peaceful. Our children especially enjoyed the many animals and corners to explore. We got an experience of Balinese culture we didn’t have anywhere else. Highly recommended!

My sister and i enjoyed our stay at Budis place. The bedrooms and verandah are spacious. Very clean. Beautiful garden. The location is walkable distance to great cafes and restaurants nearby. I love the peacefulness of the area. Budi's family are available to chat if desired . Friendly and helpful people. Budi is a good communicator. If in Ubud, i hope to stay again. We absolutely loved staying at Budi’s spot. Located inside his family’s property, you can have a peaceful stay surrounded by beautiful greenery and fish pond. The breakfast provided was so delicious every morning and we loved getting know Budi and his family. They provided an inside look at Balinese culture and traditions as well. We will miss Bali!!

This was BY FAR the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Budi and his family made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. After only a week, it felt less like staying at a rental and more like being part of their family. Budi was always available to help us plan activities and gave great food recommendations that never missed. The location was perfect for getting around Ubud while still feeling tucked into real village life. Everything we needed was close by. What really set this stay apart was the sense of community in the compound and the surrounding village. Being invited to experience their Galungan celebrations was something we will never forget. It felt very genuine and not touristy at all. And the breakfasts they cooked for us every morning were some of the best meals we had our entire trip. You simply cannot get this kind of experience at a hotel. We are already planning a return visit and cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you again Budi & fam, we miss you!!

Budi, Villi & Kiana were warm & welcoming. They treated us like family and had us living the Balinese life in no time. A local breakfast was served daily.Budi’s the best tour guide. We went to see sunrise, local markets, monkey forest, amazing waterfalls. I made batik fabric the way it was made many, many years ago. We also made silver jewelry the traditional way. All incredible experiences. We went to a purification temple, a true highlight and something not to be missed. We were lucky enough to participate in ceremonies and enter the local temple. We made a family dinner together. It was amazing experiencing all Bali has to offer. We would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking for a truly authentic Balinese stay.

One of THE BEST Air B n B experiences my family and I have ever had. Budi and his family are so kind and welcoming (his 4 year old daughter and mine became fast friends), the daily breakfast was delicious and fresh, the outside bathroom really connected you to nature and the place is just built so gorgeously! The wooden door and beams are all made by hand. I will be dreaming of sitting in the front area, listening to the birds and seeing the beautiful fauna and flora all around. Also I would HIGHLY recommend booking a day trip out with Budi - he brings you to the local gems that are not overcrowded. Lastly, there are many great places in walkable distance. If you're thinking of booking this, don't hesitate any longer!

Had a very pleasant stay at Bubi,s place, lovely friendly family, Budi very helpfull with local info, nice quite Ubud location but just a short, cheap taxi ride to the city centre or if your fit enough(afraid I,m not) you can walk it.

During stay at Budi’s place we always felt like at home. Property is very specious and well maintained. We and our children enjoyed company of Budi’s family. Budi and Ari are very proactive, qualified and professional tourist guides. Helped us in exploring many places in Ubud and area around in planned manner, which helped us saving our time and money. Highly recommended for Indian family with kids.

We (four of us, including our 11-month-old baby and her grandmother) stayed six nights at Budi’s place and immediately felt at home. Our daughter Olívia was welcomed with such warmth and care from the whole family, which made our stay even more special. Budi was always available to support us, and we even enjoyed a wonderful day trip together. The accommodation has everything you might need and is conveniently located on a street with plenty of amenities and services, while the city centre is within walking distance. The breakfast provided was simply amazing! All in all, we can only recommend Budi’s place — it gave us a truly authentic and memorable experience.

We had a lovely stay here, it's a unique experience and a beautiful property. Budi and his family were very welcoming (and patient with our very active 3 yr old boy!) and the daily breakfast was such a treat. location is quiet and immersive. but there is lots to explore nearby, just next door you can rent a scooter, get a massage, and have truly some of the best coffee. 10/10 cannot recommend highly enough.

Je recommande ce logement pour une famille de 4 personnes. L’environnement est très agréable et proche de toutes commodités. Il faut quand même savoir que le logement et dans leur propriété. Cela ne dérange en rien nos arrivés et départs. Budi est très accueillant et réactif à la moindre demande. We had the most wonderful stay at Budi’s place! From the moment we arrived, Budi welcomed us like family. He picked us up at the airport and was always responsive, kind, and helpful. The house is just as beautiful as the pictures: spacious, clean, and perfectly located, close enough to walk to Ubud center but away from the noise and traffic. Staying in Budi’s family compound was such a unique and special experience. It gave us the chance to see real Balinese daily life. Budi is also an incredible guide. He took us to explore beautiful places while explaining Balinese culture and traditions in such a meaningful way. We are so grateful to Budi and his family for their warmth and hospitality. If you want to experience the real Bali while still enjoying comfort and convenience, we highly recommend staying here, you won’t regret it!

Beautiful homestay in a nice quiet neighbourhood in Ubud. Perfect for exploring without the crazy traffic. Amazing coffee shop and rice field walk just at your doorstep. The highlight is definitely Budi and his family. They couldn’t be more welcoming. Our daughters had the best time playing with the other kids and they didn’t want to leave. We had the most delicious breakfasts and had an amazing Indonesian brunch on our last day with the family. This is the best way to experience Balinese life. Thank you so much for hosting us Budi we hope to be back soon.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Budi’s home. They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We even got to join a traditional ceremony, which was a wonderful experience. My kids had a great time playing with their daughter and other kids from the village, and they became good friends. I highly recommend staying at Budi’s home to experience authentic Balinese culture. La estancia con Budi ha sido excelente. Es una experiencia preciosa para conocer la cultura balinesa y como son las familias locales, toda la familia ha sido súper acogedora. Además, Budi nos recogió del aeropuerto, hicimos con el una excursión a kintamani y también nos llevó a nuestro siguiente hotel en Munduk. La casa está a 20 minutos de Ubud por una caminata muy bonita, además cerca de la casa hay oficinas de cambio, restaurantes de todo tipo, alquiler de motos, supermercados, etc. Realmente recomiendo esta experiencia, Bueno nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitamos y estuvo muy pendientes de nosotros, organizando algunas otras actividades que queríamos hacer.

Ons verblijf bij Budi en zijn familie was ontzettend fijn. Je voelt je meteen thuis en wordt opgenomen door iedereen. De kinderen hebben heerlijk samen gespeeld. Budi heeft een hele leuke tour verzorgd door de omgeving en kan veel vertellen over rituelen, gebruiken en het dagelijks leven. Locatie is heel fijn voor als je de drukte van Ubud niet wilt (25 min lopen naar Ubud). Naast Budîs huis zit een coffeeshop (lekkere koffie), in de straat een Supermarktje, Laundry en een aantal restaurantjes.

Esperienza unica, casa indipendente all'interno di abitazione dove abita intera famiglia locale. posizione ottima, in 15 minuti sei in centro a piedi evitando il traffico assurdo di ubud. Vicino ci sono le risaie, bellissime passeggiate ed ottimi ristoranti a prezzi adeguati. per me è stata una splendida sistemazione che non cambierei. tutte le mattine ci è stata offerta la colazione.

We absolutely loved our stay at Budis, his whole family was so lovely and welcoming and made us feel really at home. Our daughters loved playing with his daughter and I honestly think it was the highlight of their trip! The accommodation is clean and comfortable and you have everything you need It’s nice and peaceful at night but in walking distance to plenty of restaurants with a great coffee shop next door The included breakfast was delicious and the kids very much appreciated the pancakes and fresh fruit We hope one day we can come back again!

Una sola parola, FANTASTICO! Tutto perfetto, casa pulitissima e in una posizione strategica per visitare la zona di Ubut ma in un'area tranquilla per riuscire a dormire molto bene la notte. Colazione davvero ottima e con orario flessibile. Vili e Budi sempre disponibili e gentili, anche la loro splendida famiglia. Consiglio assolutamente anche di organizzare dei tour con Budi, noi siamo stati in giro con lui 3 giorni e ha saputo mostrarci posti meravigliosi anche al di fuori delle rotte più turistiche, ci siamo affidati ciecamente e non siamo mai rimasti delusi. Un'ottima guida, molto preparato e simpatico, l'hanno adorato anche i nostri figli piccoli. Consiglierò questa abitazione a chiunque verrà a Ubud, se è libero non esitare a cercare altro. Budi and Villa welcomed us in their home with open arms. The Airbnb has everything you need. Such a special experience to stay in a traditional Balinese house. We learned so much about the Balinese culture during our stay. Looking forward to returning in a couple of weeks.

This was the best place I’ve ever stayed in the Ubud area. It was more than just a stay but a whole experience to have the chance to get to know Budi and his family. They were kind people and made sure we were taken care of from the moment we arrived. They took the time to show us part of their local holiday, and the breakfasts were incredible. The accommodation is beautiful and comfortable, this is the place you should choose if coming to this area!

If you are coming to Ubud - you must stay here. It’s the best spot. The host Budy will welcome you & take you on the most beautiful walk around the village to orient yourself on arrival. He will also recommend the best tours, we were lucky enough to be invited to a local wedding & Budy’s family dressed us in beautiful Balinese clothes. Everyday we were given sumptuous breakfasts - Balinese style. It’s so peaceful here - but you can walk out of the compound & find fabulous restaurants, coffee shops & walks on your doorstep. This was exactly what we came for: to immersed with a Balinese family in their compound and experience their life, culture and tradition in a beautiful setting and comfortable accommodation. Budi, wife and mother were quintessential Balinese hosts and went the extra mile to make sure that we had a fulfilling adventure Budi was host, driver, guide, teacher---patient and accommodating throughout. The bonus was being able to participate in the runup to as well as the actual we Year (Nyepi). Daily breakfast was varied always traditional tasty, and nutritious . It was an unforgettable experience. A ten minutes walk was a hotel/restaurant Budi recommended with a spectacular pool where you could swim all day if you bought a beverage. Often, we would lunch there (delicious and inexpensive) swim and chill in a tropical setting. You'll not regret for a moment staying here. Don't miss it

Great stay, Budi and Villi were very welcoming and helpful. They even took us to their local temple to see and join the celebration which was happening during our stay. Complimentary breakfast in the morning of your choice with fresh fruit. Great stay and great way to experience Balinese culture, I recommend booking here. 우디와 빌리 하우스에서 5일을 머물렀습니다. 발리 여행을 시작한지 일주일이 지나서 온 우붓에서는 편하게 쉬고 싶었고~ 그것에 딱맞게 쉴수 있었어요. 우붓센터에서 벗어나 조용하고 평화로웠고요. 자연친화적인 숙소여서 벌레나 개미와 친해질 수 있었어요. 닭소리와 새소리 개구리 소리를 들으면 아침을 맞이 할 수 있었고 빌리의 아침은 정말 멋졌어요! 알로하하우스 앞 커피숍은 발리에서 먹은 커피 중에 제일 맛있었어요. :-) 근처에 비건식당도 있는데 맛있었고 요가센터도 삥땅 마켓도 걸어서 갈 거리에 있었어요~ 동네에는 유럽 사람들이 많이 홈스테이를 하는거 같았고 동양인은 우리 밖에 없었던거 같아요~ 우붓의 문화를 가까이서 배울 수 있는 시간이었고 우디와의 투어도 좋았어요~ 우리만 갔다면 잘 몰랐을텐데 사원과 발리 문화에 대해허 설명해주니 투어가 정말 알찼어요~ 우리가 영어를 유창하게 잘하지는 못했지만 우디와 빌리가 영어를 잘해서 의사 소통하는데는 문제가 없었어요. 다시 발리에 오게 되면 또 오고 싶은 곳이예요~ 벌써 그리워지는 우붓입니다! 우디와 빌리 가족을 만날 수 있어서 이번여행은 특별히 더 행복한 시간이었어요! 또만나요~💕

A unique stay, as you are in a beautiful private house all of your own that is within a family owned compound; so you get to see local life at first hand… you have absolute privacy, but also your host and his family are on hand should you need anything at all. Everyone we met there was so friendly and welcoming. There are lots of amenities on your doorstep such as restaurants, coffee shops, laundry, mini supermarkets, scooter hire, massage etc, and if you want to get into the centre of town it’s walkable. Highly recommended is a stroll into the paddy fields just up the lane which are beautiful. All in all we can’t recommend this stay highly enough and suggest you book it before someone else does :)

Budi & Villy are great hosts & beautiful people. Their family compound is in a truly special area. Sourdough and great coffee on their door step but if you seek something other than you do & eat at home then you’re in for a wonderful time. The breakfast home made is sooo delicious, healthy and wholesome, I’m craving it now. Budi is an excellent guide and we were grateful for his tours and transport too. All effortless. An Air BnB gem. A wonderful place to stay to get away from the city and just relax. Walkable to nice restaurants nearby and awesome rice terrace and great views. We had a wonderful two-night stay at Budi and Villi’s family compound and wished we could have stayed longer. Each morning, Villi and her family treated us to delicious traditional breakfasts. Our kids, aged 4 and 8, loved making friends with their daughter and enjoyed playing together. The compound is ideally located on the main street of a charming village, with plenty of cafes, vegetarian-friendly restaurants, and scooter rentals just a five-minute walk away. Despite its central location, the guest house is set back from the street, providing a quiet, secure, and comfortable retreat both day and night. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

We loved staying in Budi & Villi's family compound for a week as our introduction to Ubud and Balinese culture. Every morning we'd watch as his mother put out offerings and the parade of family kids going to school as we drank our coffee and tea. Our toddler immediately became friends with his daughter and nephew and would play when they were home from school. Villi made great breakfasts and was very accommodating to our picky toddler. She also gave us great suggestions and connected us to local activities and resources. Their compound is on the main street of their small village, which means there are several cafes, markets, scooter rentals, & restaurants within a five minute walk. Because the guest house is inside the compound and about 50m from the street, we didn't hear road noise during the day or at night, so it was quiet, secure, and comfortable at night. Keep in mind the Balinese people go to bed early and wake up early, and there are roosters and birds. We hope to come back!

It was a beautiful family home. We had a pleasant stay. The family was very friendly and guided us with local recommendations on food and spa. Had good breakfast and lots of activities to do nearby. Definitely recommend this place.

Budi is definitely a great host with best hospitality, the breakfast is really good, strongly recommend the Balinese Cake (Budi offers a breakfast Menu). If you don't care too much about the toilets without roof outside of the room (cause it's not that clean and full of insects), it'll be a very good option to stay here as local!

Budi & his wife Villi were absolutely fantastic hosts! They reached out with clear instructions on getting to their location & checking in was a breeze. My parents and I loved how family oriented the place is with friendly interactions with Budi's family esp their adorable daughter and nephews. Villi makes the best breakfast 😋 ever! I left the breakfast choice in her competent hands and she whipped up mouthwatering surprises for our daily breakfast! She wakes up early at 4am to 5am to make our meals ready to serve when we rise that is so much efforts and thoughts from her. Budi’s family are such a good host, and let us feel right at home from the beginning. Our baby play with Budi’s daughter Kiana and was taken care by his mother as well! We are especially touched by them invited us to the special Balinese ceremony, what a unique experience! I cannot say enough how amazing our stay was with Budi and his family. His wife Villi made us dinner after a late arrival and wonderful breakfast each morning. They arranged transportation from the airport and a driver for us for the entire time we were in Ubud. And staying on the grounds/compound of his family home was so amazing. We were truly immersed in Balinese culture and cannot wait to return with our son! The only bad part of the stay was that we only booked two nights … and it was not long enough!!! We miss you guys already and cannot wait to return.

Our stay at Budi and Villi’s guesthouse was absolutely fantastic. It was the first stay of our trip and I can’t think of a better place to stay. It’s a total immersion into the Balienes culture and way of living, and Budi’s family makes you feel like at home. They were always very responsive and willing to help, which made our experience very comfortable. They asked us about our plans and gave us very good recommendations. The guesthouse itself is very nice, the bedroom is big and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is very beautiful too, and the kitchen can be very useful if you need to prepare some food. The breakfast options were all delicious! They also provided us a very good airport pickup (thanks Ari!). We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to everyone who wants to experience and learn more about the real Balinese life instead of just going to a simple touristic place. We wanted to experience our trip to Bali in its purest form with our daughters aged 11 and 13. We therefore opted for the homestay with Budi and family. The welcome was very warm and we immediately felt at ease. We are grateful that we were able to get to know them, where respect, gratitude and kindness are the hallmarks of this loving family. Every morning we were surprised by an authentic Balinese breakfast prepared with care by Villi, Budi's wife. The accommodation was very neat and fully equipped. Budi, his wife Vili and their relatives are wonderful hosts. We really felt welcome by all and comfortable staying at their place. They were available to answer all our questions and to help us whenever needed. The two bedrooms we had were very clean, had AC as well as a ceiling fan. The open bathrooms were clean too. For breakfast Budi's wife made us some delicious Balinese crepes and typical farmer's meal, served each time with fresh fruits. Even though we already had an idea of the many places we wanted to visit, Budi gave us some great recommendations. Budi also gave us a great advice when telling us how much we should expect to pay for a taxi between Ubud's center and Budi's house. Had he not given this info we would have paid twice the normal price because of some taxi drivers taking advantage of tourists. If I ever come back to Ubud I will certainly stay at Budi's house.

Budi‘s Frau hat uns täglich mit einem balinesischen Frühstück verwöhnt und die ganze Familie war interessiert daran, uns die Balinesische Kultur und das Brauchtum auf unterschiedlichste Art und Weise näher zu bringen. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Das kleine Dorf unweit von Ubud ist super schön, noch recht ursprünglich, keine Hektik schöne Rice Field Walks, nette kleine Cafés, tolle Restaurants,ein tolles öffentliches Pool Restaurant und Bar. Budi hat uns stets mit tollen Tipps versorgt, ein toller Gastgeber!

Budi sadece bir ev sahibi değil aynı zamanda size Bali’nin kültürünü ve geleneklerini anlatan harika bir rehber. Bu evde yerel bir Bali ailesi ile yaşamak muhteşemdi. Bali’ye gelmeden önce günlerce neler yapacağımız halkında araştırma yapmıştık oysa ki gerek yokmuş. Budi bize neredeyse tüm Bali’yi gezdirmekle kalmadı, Bali’ye ait her konuda bize bilgi verdi. Bu evde Bali geleneklerine şahit olduk , bir tatilden çok daha fazlasını yaşadık . 10 gün sanki kendi evimiz ve ailemizin arasında gibi yaşadık. great stay at Budi, Villie and family's guest house. it is in the middle of their compound where the families live. it's on a residential street so quiet in terms of roadwork /noise. if you want complete silence it may not be the best because there are dogs and roosters around where they will make noises early in the morning 4am - 7am ish. easily walkable to Ubud center 30-35 min walk

Ons verblijf bij Budi, Villy en Kiana was in 1 woord geweldig!! De liefste familie waar we ons meteen thuis voelde. Het verblijf was qua locatie perfect, overal makkelijk naar toe met de scooter (die we hadden gehuurd van de buurman Wayan, die ontzettend lief voor ons was ook) en savonds was het lekker rustig omdat we niet in het centrum zaten. Perfect, het beste van alle werelden. De familie zit voor altijd in ons hart en ik zou iedereen aanraden hier te verblijven. Ook/juist voor een gezin met kind (ons zoontje is 3) was dit perfect, iedereen zorgt voor elkaar en dus ook voor ons en genoeg kindjes om mee te spelen. Het was een ontzettend fijn verblijf, de 5 weken dat wij zijn geweest zijn om gevlogen!

The highlight of our time in Bali! The accommodations were lovely but Budi’s close-knit family is what made our time here so memorable and special. From the moment we arrived, Budi and Villi (his partner and wife) made us feel welcome, and were incredibly patient throughout our stay in answering the many questions we had about daily life, culture, religion, etc. ( be sure to book a tour with Budi if you can!). Our kids had the good fortune to be able to play with some of the kids in Budi’s extended family and said it felt like visiting their cousins. The guest house itself is in the middle of the family compound. It is clean, comfortable, and beautifully adorned with traditional woodwork art. The neighborhood in which it is situated is quiet and there are a number of good dining options located within convenient walking distance (e.g., Paddy Point, the vegan restaurant around the corner, etc) The breakfasts prepared by Budi’s mother and Villi were super delicious AND lovely!

staying with budi and his family was one of the highlights of our trip! both him and his wife, villi, are extremely kind, caring, and humble. we were treated with love and felt right at home from the first night. the meals the family prepared for us were thoughtfully put together, and they were some of the tastiest meals we had during our stay in bali. they always took the time to check and see how we were doing, gave us suggestions when we didn’t know what to do, taught us about their culture, and went out of their way to help care for one of our group who fell ill. i was so sad to leave—it felt like i was saying goodbye to family. such a beautiful place and beautiful family ❤️ we love you guys very much and hope to see you again soon!!!

We stayed at Budi and Villi’s house for a few days in Ubud, they are the most charming people and we definitely recommend them! The room was lovely and very clean, with a bathroom partly outside (what an experience!). We had a great time in Ubud thanks to our hosts who helped us visit its surroundings and organize a hiking trip to Mount Batur + a Balinese massage at the house. You can also easily walk to Ubud center from the house, it’s only 30 mins.!

Budi and Villi were excellent hosts! Their homestay was beautiful, clean and the beds were comfortable. We felt like we were staying in a castle! The rooms had an incredible outdoor shower and we felt very at home here. They cooked traditional Balinese breakfast for us, included in the stay and the breakfast was amazing. They were very friendly and always around to answer our questions and ensure we were happy and comfortable. Highly recommend this homestay!

We had a very warm welcome at Budi's place. We got to stay with the local Balinese family and get a peep into their culture. They are very sweet and helped me with the groceries and set up the kitchen so that we could cook our home food. Their place is in the heart of Ubud and is not far from the tourist attractions. Overall, we loved the stay and enjoyed our time there.

This place was perfect. Very clean and beautiful. With all you need and walking distance from all the places we wanted to go. Nearby there’s all you need. They cook breakfast for you. Budi and his family make you feel very welcome and he provides great advice. I highly recommend to book the Ubud tour with Budi, which is perfect, he will bring you to amazing spots and he knows the alternatives for the most popular places which are even more beautiful and less crowded. I feel grateful for my amazing time there with my family and all the help we received. I strongly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful month in Budi’s family complex. If you want to be immersed in Balinese culture this is the place to stay. You are living closely with his family, his mom, aunts, uncles & cousins. You see them go about their daily lives, the kids playing, making their daily temple offerings & everyone is always friendly & smiling! We had a Balinese breakfast every morning served on the patio with a yummy plate of fresh fruit. We walked everywhere we went, downtown Ubud is about 2 km away and there’s paths going through the rice fields that are especially scenic. There’s restaurants, coffee shops & a supermarket close by. Budi was also our tour guide, we saw waterfalls, temples, the fire dance, sunrise in the mountains and sunsets on the beach. His English is very good and he safely & patiently navigates the busy streets and roads. He loves his island, is knowledgeable and very happy to share it. We came away from our holiday in Bali with a great admiration for Bali and its people!

Loved staying at Budi’s place - beautiful accommodation right in the middle of family life - it was a privilege to stay there. Great little eateries in the area and just a hop skip and jump into Ubud centre.

Staying at Budis family home was truly great - we felt right at home, were welcomed super nicely and still had enough privacy. The fountain right next to the room was such a beautiful calming sound to fall asleep to and the breakfast is delicious - he even offers many different breakfast options. We loved staying with Budi & had a great trip during the day with the most interesting activities. Thanks a lot, we would love to come back one day!

Villi was our host for the entire duration of our stay. Everything that we asked for was completed within hours. She also provided great breakfast and kept our rooms clean. The whole family is very sweet and friendly. It was a great pleasure staying with them and understanding their culture.

Budi’s stay was great. The family were lovely but Budi took us on a tour around Ubud and was super helpful. He had great recommendations and we wanted him to come on our whole trip!

Budi & Villi were wonderful hosts and their whole family is very friendly. The property was beautiful and peaceful. There are great restaurants and yoga studios very close and Ubud city centre is just a 15-20 minute walk away or 5 minute scooter ride. Budi made great recommendations for where to go and tips to navigate being tourists. They provide a variety of breakfast choices including authentic Balinese dishes and western options. Our favourite was the yellow rice with chicken & tempe, just make sure to order the night before :) The food was always thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented with fresh fruit. Budi and Villi are kind and considerate hosts. Living in the family compound was a wonderful experience, seeing and learning a little about their culture. Our 4 year old granddaughter loved feeding the fish. The complimentary breakfasts were delicious and they were happy to change the menu to cater for our fussy grand daughter. Budi offered tours which were tailor made to suit our needs. His suggestions were fantastic and we therefore had a great time. We always enjoyed returning back to our relaxing villa after fun day out. The villas are spacious, clean with large rooms and as you can see in the photos, they are beautiful, traditional buildings. We certainly can highly recommend this AirB&B to anyone looking for a Bali experience. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Budi and Villi and his family are wonderful hosts. We loved very much the opportunity to join an authentic Balinese wedding in the neighborhood. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud center, but close enough to walk there. Also, close for a walk through rice fields. A Bintang supermarket is in walking distance through very narrow rice paddy and residential area walks, as well as many nice local restaurants. Don't forget a torch, its pitch black at night, and be aware, Grab doesn't work here. Calculate 2 hrs to the airport. We loved the Balinese breakfast choices and local coffee a lot. Thank you for this amazing experience!

We felt like local staying in their place cause it is literally a big family compound with aunts and uncles in this residential compound. The open area right outside our Airbnb rooms is so comfortable, nice environment with nature and breezy air. My partner loved the swing chair at the little garden. The breakfast provided by Budi’s wife was superb, she’s friendly and very responsive. Budi also drove us to the DPS airport in the early morning as in 4:30am, and he was lively and friendly and made our sleepy morning so much more better! The area is very local with only 16 mins walk to the junction area where there is the start of the Cjambuhan ridge walk, the Blanco Renaissance Museum and many cool restaurants. Again, thank you so much for everything!

We had a great stay with Budi, Villi and family. They were super responsive with any questions we had and were always eager to help. The room was lovely and spacious with air con and a nice outdoor shower with hot water. Breakfast was our highlight each morning, we had traditional Balinese cakes, pancakes and omelettes, always with fruit! Thank you both for a lovely stay. We would recommend this home stay to anyone visiting Ubud.

We had the most incredible three week stay with Villi and Budi! Firstly, the breakfast each morning was amazing - we loved the traditional Balinese cakes and the delicious fruit 🍉. The rooms were kept really clean and full of fresh flowers which was beautiful. We used the kitchen every single day to make meals and it had everything we needed. Finally, the family is so kind and lovely, we did a tour with Budi one day which was great and he and Villi even treated us to dinner one night which was super special. We can’t wait to come back 💓

We had the most amazing stay at Budi and Villi's place. Everything went smoothly, from the pickup at the airport, to finding amazing places to visit, to having Budi and his cousin Mardika show us around Ubud. Villi gave us some wonderful recommendations for things to do in Ubud, including a great restaurant for dinner. The guesthouse was nice and spacious, and the morning breakfast scrumptious. It was also easy to walk or take a cab to downtown Ubud. I would rate the overall experience as one of the best in many years.

Budi and his wife were great hosts and very accommodating. Breakfasts provided in the morning were delicious and they even got me a cake on my birthday! Their home is in a very good location; not too far away from Ubud Centre but still quiet at night, located closely to the Rice Field Walk and good local food options.

I spent one week in Budis Balinese guesthouse ably run by wife, Villi and this was a wonderful experience to watch life in a Balinese community, and one of the high points of my 2 month tour of Indonesia. It is almost always fully booked so book way ahead. Budi can take you on tours of Bali. Both Budi and Villi are fluent in English. Should I be lucky to return to Bali this is where I would stay.

Was great location for a family to stay as there were many kids to play with. Our 3 year old son made friends and had a great time playing with the kids here. The family even set up some play equipment for our son so he was never bored. Was a great stay and we were invited to important cultural events so we really saw some of the real Bali. Just book it. We had an incredible stay and experience with Budi, Villi, and the family, they are extremely gracious hosts and welcomed us with genuine hospitality. This isn't your cook-cut hotel experience but an experience to stay with a local Balinese family in their family compound. You will see their daily lives, prayers, and kids going to school. We were fortunate enough to visit during their every 6-month family and prayer festival and saw their incredible community. The house is large, clean, and comfortable away from the bustle of central Ubud yet it's accessible. The surrounding area has luscious vegetation with cafes and restaurants. We could write an entire review about the daily scrumptious breakfast that was prepared. It was an incredibly delicious Balinese breakfast with fresh fruits and a huge portion; we ordered extra. Exactly the experiences you want when visiting places and we couldn't recommend this place enough. We truly missed staying there and their food

We stayed 3 nights. 2 adults and 2 boys. Pros: Very Authentic experience staying in the family compound. You definitely get to interact with the locals and see their way of life. Breakfast was delicious with choice of local and western food. House was clean and comfortable. Good experience to live screen free. We get to feed some fishes, check out the roosters and pet chick and also the home batik production. Cons: Slower internet connection. Photos were newer than the actual unit. Overall a great experience! Thank you Budi, Villi, Mum and Sis for the hospitality.

This is a delightful house that is somehow both in the middle of the town and yet was so quiet and felt secluded. This was a great stay for two couples as they have two rooms with attached washrooms and a common area in between the rooms – all on the ground floor just adjacent to a pond, and the Wi-Fi signal is strong. The host welcomed us with a smile and were ready to explain all the things even late at night. You may need to pre order the breakfast as it is arranged by the host and served in the common area. We took the Balinese breakfast and it was sumptuous .

Budi is a tour guide - he took us to their ceremony in the community temple, organised a scooter, a driver, a small lunch for the trip... I highly recommend and I want to come back.

Budi's 2 bedroom place immerses you into Balinese family living. The rooms are clean and large and comfortable. The main doors are impressive and each room has an open bathroom. The verandah is huge and has dining and sofa and chairs to enjoy the natural surroundings. The daily breakfast is amazing and tailor made to your taste. Budi and his wife Villi are amazing hosts and very friendly. Very easy to interact and communicate. Budi also can provide tourist services in and around Ubud and Bali.

If you are tired of hotel +sea/pool vacations that are almost identical all around the world, try this for a great local experience. The house is in a traditional Bali family compound and it’s perfectly clean, authentic, peaceful with all the necessary amenities. Budi and his family is very kind and helpful. He can also arrange a car+guide to visit must-see places around Ubud. We attended a religious ceremony with him dressed in suitable ceremony attires provided by his family. It was a unique experience. Ubud and Budi’s house is the place where we would stay when we return to Bali.

Wow ! Exceptionnel experience if you want to know more about the balinese culture. Everybody in the compound was so nice with us, from Budi, his wife Vily and his mother, to the kids living around us, greeting us every morning. This communauty took the time to explain to us how they live and some of their traditions. The house in itself has two really big and comfortable rooms and two outdoor bathrooms. We didn't use the kitchen much - with the rain, we didn't feel like cooking in an open space outside. The balinese breakfast was really generous and good. The wi-fi was really inconstant in the day, so we had to work from a coffee place, but we didn't mind, there so many of them ! We spent a really pleasant week and felt like everybody wanted us to have a nice stay. I highly recommand it, and you should book a private tour to the hidden places with Budi at the same occasion - best tour we had in our 2 months trip to Asia !

We had a lovely two-night stay with Budi, Vili and their family in this delightful compound just outside of Ubud proper. Budi kindly picked us up from the airport and brought us to his home, even though it made for a late night after our late arriving flight. The two side-by-side rooms were very spacious and comfortable, although the outdoor bathrooms took a little getting used to! Vili’s traditional breakfast of black sticky rice with sweet coconut milk and Balinese cakes was amazing. We actually loved the location in Penestanan because it was much more peaceful and calm than Ubud itself, and yet was only a 25-minute walk from Ubud centre. Within five minutes’ walk to the north you were navigating hidden laneways lined with flowers and opening out amongst family rice paddies. Three minutes’ walk to the south is the centre of Penestanan where there is great vegan food and coffee. We would stay again - thank you Budi and Vili!

Our stay at Budi's and Villi's place couldn't be better! The place and the hosts are wonderful! We planned to stay 2 days but extended to 4 days. We got everyday a different balinese breakfast and even had the luck to join a mass cremation ceremony, which was an amazing experience! We highly recommend this place!!!

This place made us feel like home, we enjoyed the hospitality and warmth extended by the family and it was like home away from home. You get to experience the original balinese culture and tradition. The whole family was very friendly and each one helped us in one way or the other. The food prepared by his mom and other ladies were delicious and it was delicious. Since we are vegetarians, they customised the food to suit our needs. Best part was my son enjoyed a lot with their family and their kids, and so we are double happy. A special mention to Komang Ari, Budi's brother in law who was our tour guide and driver right through our trip. He was the sweetest and the most friendly tour guide we have seen. He was so friendly that we have almost become really close to his family. My son and his son have become really close friends. He was very patient right through our trip, helped us with taking photographs, bargaining with people, taking care of my son etc. In fact my son loves him a lot and misses him so much. This stands testimony to his friendly and down to earth character. Our Bali trip was made even more memorable thanks to these lovely people. Will surely miss this wonderful place and people.

This airbnb is not far away from Ubud centre but it's still very quite. It's a big room and you also have a terrace and a kitchen. The host is very nice, they will help you if you have any questions.

Wir hatten eine ganz wundervolle Zeit bei Budi und Villi im Compound. Es war ein sehr guter Einstieg für uns die balinesische Kultur und über die Lebensweise kennenzulernen. Wir durften sogar an einer Tempelzeremonie teilnehmen. Auch die anderen Familienmitglieder waren so nett und haben uns ganz herzlich aufgenommen. Sie haben uns Tipps für Aktivitäten gegeben und waren jederzeit absolut hilfsbereit. Auch unsere Kinder haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Um in die Stadt selbst zu kommen kann man einen schönen Spaziergang ca. 15 Minuten in die Stadt machen. Ansonsten gibt es alles in der Nähe was man braucht. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt bei Budi und seiner Familie wärmsten empfehlen für alle die Lust haben etwas von der balinesischen Lebensweise und Kultur zu erfahren.

What a wonderful and memorable experience. Budi, Villi and their family made us feel so incredibly welcome at their home. It was magical to see the children and adults alike going about their daily lives, with blessings throughout the morning, batik painting and children playing especially with our little toddler in tow, who loved being there. The location is perfect, it’s in a quieter part of town away from the hustle and bustle and busy roads but you have a number of coffee shops, restaurants, cafes all within a quick walk even a gorgeous one in amongst the picturesque rice fields that Villi recommended. It’s a 15min walk to the main strip too. Villi’s cooking is beautiful, her breakfasts where a treat! We took a tour with Budi who is incredibly knowledgeable, tailors the itinerary to what you want and need and is great story teller. Thank you for having us, we will be back!

Budi and his family were excellent hosts! The guesthouse is beautiful and comfortable. Budi’s family welcomed us warmly and prepared delicious breakfast for us every morning. Budi was very responsive and communicative before we arrived and picked us up from the airport so we had no issues checking in. The host was very accommodating and flexible in terms of check-out and check-in. Both Budi and his wife, Vili were excellent hosts in every way. Budi doubled as our tour guide and showed us around the place and offered invaluable suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. He also explained parts of their culture to us which was very interesting to hear. A traditional Balinese breakfast was also offered to us and it was simply amazing. Vili even explained all the various dishes in the meal and I have to compliment her cooking. The entire stay had a very homely vibe as it is within their family compound and it felt very welcoming to see their families and live amongst them. The villa itself was very beautiful and aesthetic. It was very well maintained and I would 100% recommend this place to others. Would love to come back here someday!

We felt like at home, Villi & Budi and all their family were very welcoming and available to share, we discovered so much about them, Bali's culture with temple ceremonies and local dishes (everyday a different delicious breakfast option)! Our children had lots of fun playing with other kids. After a week it was hard for us to leave... The two huge bedrooms with great external shower were very nice (AC, desk and good wifi), and the kitchen fully equipped. Location was great, with several restaurant options just nearby, Ubud center only a short drive away, and you can walk within minutes into beautiful rice field landscapes. They also made many suggestions for site visits, and we could easily organise day trips with Budi's cousin. We highly recommend for anyone looking for a great homestay experience: thanks again !

This was truly a special experience. They let us into their home as if we were family. When our two year old got a little tummy bug, they took excellent care of us, checking on her and making us soups. We are so appreciative of our time in the middle of their home. Very unique, extremely memorable!

Staying at Budi's place was a wonderful experience for my family. The guesthouse is beautiful, comfortable, and we loved the outdoor shower. It was so much fun to stay in the family complex. My three year old daughter especially enjoyed playing with the other kids, walking around with Budi's mom putting out offerings, and the many ways that we were welcomed into daily life. On our first night there was a special ceremony at the local temple and Budi and his mother dressed us in special clothes and brought us along with them--it was an unforgettable and very meaningful experience. I also liked the location of the guesthouse, and we enjoyed walking through the town and all of our adventures along the way to Ubud. I highly recommend this guesthouse if you are interested in a cultural experience and being part of the community. If you're looking for a traditional hotel or villa, this probably isn't the place for you.

This place made my stay in Bali beyond memorable! Being able to stay on property where a local family lives made my stay as authentic as it can be! I would not stay in a hotel but do home stay! I even got homemade breakfast and when I needed taxi, family member offered to drive me. Above and beyond hospitality, I’m absolutely blown away by their kindness and willingness to make my vacation memorable!

A beautiful Balinese home on a Hindu shrine compound, removed from the bustle even ubud reaches these days. A lovely home base for exploring the many beautiful sites nearby. Budi was a caring and thoughtful host.

The stay in Budis Compound was awesome. We loved the lovely Balinese Style House, to be in touch with the very nice and polite people and the delicious freshly cooked breakfast every morning. Highly recommended if you want to experience real Balinese life style. Everything was nice and clean and suitable for children. Budi was around and was also communicating very quick. Pick up from airport was helpful, as well the help with our lots of bags. We stayed for 4 nights with our two children and loved it to be able to walk a nice Balinese street into Ubud.

Budi’s house is so great! we have stayed there for three days. It’s a Balinese house with two bedrooms and a little kitchen. Budi and his family are living together. They offered some choices for breakfast,l like the omelette and noodles very much. Budi are friedly and helpful.we like the restaurants he recommended and we enjoyed wandering around in the village. Budi is also a tourist guide,he took us to the secret spot to see the sunrise on the top of the volcano,which was amazingly beautiful.and we went to the rice field and the local temple with few tourists. everything was perfect.

Everything is perfect ! If you’d like to vacation in a cultural Balinese compound this is the place to do so. The host is amazing and don’t hesitate on booking him for tours as well ! He’s a great person that makes you feel very welcomed in his home .

老板非常nice！推荐一百分，刚来的时候，就出来接我们啦，知道喜欢狗狗，就叫了Belin来接我们哈哈哈！朋友们天天撸狗子，很听话的，房东的孩子有点害羞哈哈哈，后面一直给我们give me five. 房东一般我们有需要都会积极帮助我们，很有爱的！早餐准备得非常好，推荐的附近的餐馆，超级棒，又便宜又好吃！出门右拐就是ding ding饭店，Paddy point这个饭店风景超棒的，一定要去哟！总之，超级满意！对于房东，我们说一定要给一些小费表达感谢，走的时候😂忙忘了！建议去了12点就睡觉，早上会有点自然闹铃，小鸟叫醒你哈哈哈

This was a last-minute impulsive choice as originally we were going to go with a conventional hotel or (likely Australian) holiday home. Budi was an excellent host, knowledgeable and generous with his time, and while this style of accommodation may not be for everyone, we really enjoyed out stay and would definitely consider staying here again. The home is built in traditional Balinese style and comprises of two separate bedrooms each with a partially outdoors end-suite. The living area is outside at the front of the home, while the kitchen, also open to the air, is to the side. The traditional compound is shared by many members of Budi's extended family with a range of properties and so we got a bit of a glimpse into everyday life and got to meet several family members. Breakfast is provided with a choice of three Balinese dishes, and airport pick up and drop off made our stay even easier (we also booked Budi's brother-in-law to do a half day tour with us on the way back to the airport). Central Ubud for us was a tough 40 minute walk although I guess that those that are young and fit could probably do it in half that time. However, there are several taxi drivers in the village/suburb so just walking down the street to get one was not a problem whenever we needed (one has a booth next door to the property). We also went to a couple of the local restaurants/cafes and thought that their food was excellent and very well priced (and better than the food that was had elsewhere). Thanks Budi - and family.

I really never write reviews so, I’ll keep it short. We felt we were at home. We felt like family. My wife smiled the moment she walked into the compound... We are so thankful to Budi and family for opening their home and offering us a beautiful, safe, comfortable, clean, place to call home for our time in Bali. Without question, we’ll be back to Ubud, and we hope, back home with family :-)..

It was my first time in Bali and along with my Husband, my brother and I stayed at Budi's place for 4 nights. The place was clean and nice. Budi's mom provided us with lovely breakfast everyday during our stay. Ville our co- host was there to welcome us at time of check in and provided us with all the information and was just a msg/call away whenever we wanted any info. Every night Budi helped us in planning for the places to visit the next day which was very sweet of him. ( even though he was not our tour guide).Overall we had a great time. Would highly recommend Budi and his place for your stay at Ubud.

Budi was extremely friendly, polite and had good PR skills. And so were his mother, sister n brother in law. They provided healthy, filling n yummy bfast. As the name indicates, it was a traditional house indeed. Well maintained n clean. The bath area open to the sky was something I'll remember. Would surely recommend others. Its value for money.

If you want to be outside the press and crazy of Ubud but still have easy access to everything the town offers, stay with Budi! The family is kind, and amazing! The breakfasts are delicious. They bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and to accommodate our needs. From helping with motorbike rental, to airport transfers, and even cooking for us for a dinner party that we hosted. Would 100% recommend!

Budi's place is great to experience Bali. The design of the house is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious. The beds are big and comfortable. Perfect for a good rest after a tiring tours during the morning. It may be far from Ubud Central but since we love walking, it is not much of an issue for us. Just be sure to take the shortcut towards the stairs/steps and not follow the roads for the vehicles. Taxis are available nearby. Then there are cafes and restaurants that serves great food within a few minutes walk. Wifi is OK but can be slow at certain times in the morning. But it was fast and reliable everytime I check on my work at night where it mattered most. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The banana pancake was a big hit for our son. Budi and his family are very approachable. They are quick to answer whenever we have questions about our stay or whenever we ask for recommendations of places to go to. We also availed of Budi's Bali Tours. We enjoyed the trip and Budi provides great insights about the place, the history and the culture.

Budi and his family were very welcoming during our stay at the villa. We were welcomed with coconut water and delicious breakfast was prepared every morning by his mother, she even packed food for us when we had to go out early morning. Their lovely dog benny greeted us everytime we entered the compound. All in all, we felt at welcome and at home during our entire stay. Would definitely come back when im in ubud.

Staying in Budi’s place is a short experience of Balinese life. As Budi mentioned, most families in Bali live in a compound, and the same goes for this experience. You’ll have a small community in Budi’s guesthouse and will be able to experience being neighbors with locals. Everyone in that community is friendly, and always smiling or greeting you with warm good mornings and good evenings. That, plus the breakfast served, with Balinese food, made the experience memorable. Our rooms were spacious with enough of what one would need. I’d even say, my stay here is more comfortable than that I had in a hotel.

We loved our stay with Budi - the villa is gorgeous, with incredibly detailed and beautiful wood carvings around the door and the ceiling on the porch. We all liked the outdoor showers – it felt so luxurious to be able to enjoy the sounds of the birds and the warmth of the sunlight in the mornings. Next door to the villa is the area where they make batik – I was excited to get to watch the process and Budi's brother-in-law was kind enough to explain the steps to me and answer my many questions. One highlight of our stay was definitely the amazing breakfasts made by Budi's mother - the Balinese cake, rice porridge, and fresh fruit was delicious. The fruit was probably the best we had our entire time in Bali - perfectly ripe every day and grown in the family's fields! A short walk from the villa complex are the local rice and agricultural fields. Everyone in the village was extremely nice and friendly, despite a significant language barrier on my part. The villa is in an ideal location - a small, quiet village far enough from central Ubud to be peaceful and not touristy but close enough to be an easy walk into Ubud and to the Camphuhan Ridge Walk. Budi and his family were extremely gracious hosts and it really felt like they welcomed us into their home. We highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Ubud!

Budi and his family were all amazing, they looked after us and cooked us breakfast everyday! We stayed in a little family complex where you feel very welcomed. It is a 15 minute walk to central Ubud and is near campuhan Ridge walk. Budi helped us and recommended things for us throughout our stay also! Highly recommend

정말 멋진 숙소였습니다. 발리 느낌을 잘 느낄 수 있는 숙소입니다. 자연과 함께 어울어져서 아름다운 숙소입니다! 방을 하나만 배정받을 줄 알았는데 빈 방이 있어서 두개를 배정해 주셨습니다. 덕분에 쾌적하게 머물 수 있었습니다! :) 댜먄 한쬭뱡 호ㅑ쟝씰은 샬워기가 교쟝났구 댜룬 한쬭뱡은 뱨쓔규가 먁효이쎴여용. 오쁜 호ㅑ쟝씰이라 뵬례가 마나셔 거기는 샤유ㅓ할 때 걤히슈영쟝에서 ㅅ씻는 느낌이욨오여. 샤유ㅓ하다 걤히한테도 뮬림ㅠ. 굴애도 덩쌸때 냼섀 쟐 빠쬬소 조음! :D 자연친화적이기 때문에 벌레는 약간 있습니다. 뱌댝에 걤히쳔뀩. 밖휘뵬례됴 뵤얐여용. 옷걸이가 많이 있어서 좋았습니다. 옷걸이에다가 가벼운 짐들을 걸어놓을 수 있습니다. 글애야 걤히한톄쎠 얀쪈햘껏갸탸용. 부엌이 있어서 요리를 할 수 있습니다. 커피랑 차도 먹을 수 있어요! 균뎨 별례갸 만큐 쵸큼 뎌려웠영용. 웰컴 드링크는 큰 코코넛을 줍니다 조식 메뉴는 선택할 수 있습니다. 맛있었어요. 평화로운 대나무 풍경소리와 닭 울음소리를 들으며 밥을 먹었어요. 진짜 평화로운 분위기가 너무 좋았습니다. 아 그리고 아주 귀여운 개가 있습니다. 순하고 사람을 잘 따릅니다. 호스트 분들도 아주아주 친절하시고 좋았습니다. 좋은 경험이었어요!!

The villa is a Bali style.All equipment in the kitchen. But, Grab or gojek car can't pick up here.

Budi, his Mom and sister was definitely the bomb! They were all so warm and made us feel at home. They were beyond accommodating. I will definitely come back.

Budi and his family are lovely hosts! The rooms are in a family compound with a lovely old golden retriever (Benny) and several young children who we loved playing with. Budi is very friendly and always helpful - and his brother in law Komang and uncle Sena were also able to help when Budi was busy. Unfortunately we were unable to go on one of Budi's famous tours but Sena took us on one instead. The rooms are clean, tidy, spacious and have good air con. The outdoor bathrooms are an experience and it's lovely having a shower in sunshine!! The only problem is that the home may be hard to find for taxi drivers but they all found it eventually (we got taxis home instead of walking uphill!) I would definitely recommend Budi's home for a slice of peace away from busy Ubud, and especially for his tips on places to go.

Budi's home is an amazing place to stay. You get to experience what it's like living in a traditional Balinese colony, among budi's family. The rooms are kept very well and are extremely comfortable, and Budi will go out of his way to make sure you're comfortable and at home. His communication skills are very good and talking to him feels like talking to an old friend. If you're traveling Bali and want to experience something different than the traditional resort by the beach kinda stuff, I definitely recommend you stay here.

Budi and his family are wonderful hosts. My cousin and I stayed in the compound for about one week and I wish it had been much longer. The bedrooms were clean and very comfortable. The outdoor bathrooms are incredible (nothing like a shower in the morning sun!). Living in the community of Penestanan for a short time was a wonderful way to see true Balinese living. Ubud always felt very safe and comfortable, so my cousin and I were totally at ease the entire visit, especially with the help of the friendly community. Budi’s mother cooked us breakfast every morning with fresh fruits, and these were some of the best meals we ate in Indonesia. We are so grateful to have stayed here. If you would like to immerse yourself in some culture, but also have comfort and privacy when you need, Budi’s place is perfect.

Budis place is FANTASTIC! His mother makes incredible food for breakfast, his family is warm and welcoming and lovely to be around. We felt like we had the entire place to ourselves but felt safe and cared for if we needed anything. Our boys loved meeting, and playing with, the neighborhood kids and jumping around in a safe place to explore and run. Budi is an EXCELLENT host and amazing driver. We felt so safe and looked after and we loved learning all about the area from someone who obviously loves his homeland. we would recommend this home so highly to anyone but especially to families! And make sure to check out the batik! they make sarongs there and it is fascinating to watch. Thanks again Budi! we miss you already!

여행지엘 가면 한 곳에 오래 머물기를 좋아하는 나로서는 Budi의 숙소가 안성맞춤이었다. 시내까지 도보로 걸어 다니기에는 너무 먼 거리에 있지만, 내겐 그집 가족들의 따뜻함이 시내를 나가고픈 유혹을 상쇄하고도 남았다. 조용하면서도 눈치 빠른 Budi의 어머님은 그집의 핵심이다. 넓은 방을 쾌적하게 만들어 주고, 아침마다 고픈 배를 채워준 엄마가 가장 생각난다. 나는 그들과 가족처럼 지냈다. 온갖 행사에 엄마가 빌려준 사롱을 입고 함께 참석했고, 챙김을 받았다. 덕분에 발리 사람의 진수를 본 것 같다. 부엌도 깨끗했고, 하늘이 보이는 화장실도 좋았고, 넓고 깨끗한 방은 말할 것도 없이 좋았다. 모자람이 있으면 즉시 채워 주는 엄마가 제일 그립다. 발리 주민의 공동체 생활과 가족의 따스하고 친절함을 느끼고 싶다면, 나는 진정으로 Budi의 숙소를 추천한다. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, and kitchen separate guesthouse within a decent sized family ‘compound’ made up of multiple houses all belong to the same family. Decent location depending on what you want to do. About 15-20 minute walk to the Ubud city center. A little quieter but that’s what we liked. Great food near by(go to Paddy Point). Bed and pillows were comfy. Bathroom clean, shower great and always hot. Good AC and a fan in the room. Budi’s mom makes a very tasty breakfast. Tea/coffee and water always available. Budi also has a private car service ‘Budilicious Taxi’ and we hired him for 2 days to travel to the far ends of Bali. Budi and his family invited us to take part in their communities parade and celebration in the temple. This was one of our best experiences we could’ve ever had! Budi is a wonderful person and always has some great recommendations! Wish we stayed longer! Will definitely be back. Thanks for everything!!

Budi's Airbnb was absolutely serene. The house is located 10 mins away from the Ubud market area, in a peaceful village neighborhood. You can opt for this if you are looking to stay away from the main touristy, loud area of Ubud. His house is surrounded by all basic amenities which a tourist need, like laundry, few cafes, convenience store and restaurant. Also, there is a small shortcut to reach the Ubud main area by walk which will take 15-20 mins. His family was extremely sweet and friendly and made us feel home. They made sure that all our requirements were addresses. Since I traveled with my Indian family, they had a completely different set of requirements. Budi and his family made sure that they addressed everything. His mom even gave us fruits for one of their festival. Both rooms were large and had ac. Even the washrooms were really spacious. I would suggest his place to everyone who prefers to stay in a serene quiet neighborhood and experience the village life of Bali.

Our stay with Budi and his family has been such a pleasure. We wish we could just move in and continue being a part of their sweet family ;) The rooms are very clean with lovely Balinese decor. We wake up to relaxing sounds of birds singing and the beautiful Ganesha water fountain just outside the doors. Budi is an excellent host. Budilicious. Brother Budi. He's the man. He communicates well with his perfect English. We hired him to organize an island day tour for us to see some sights outside of Ubud. He's a fantastic driver as well as very knowledgable about Bali, the customs, the culture. He knows where to find the best of what you're looking for. We found him to be incredibly easy to chat with and he is clearly a kind soul who is skilled at being an awesome host in this paradise of Bali! The gorgeous scenery around the house brought us straight into our need for nature therapy with the flowers, plants, trees and birds. Budi's mother, Mama Made makes us the most delicious breakfast every morning. We are addicted to the black rice porridge!!! The neighborhood is full of friendly people, with touring services, laundry service, restaurants and taxi services within a few doors down. The walk into central Ubud is full of interesting sights and options for eating, spa services and photo opps. Loved every moment of our stay. Can't wait to return!

Budi's place was great and gave me a feel for local life! It also had nice big private rooms with everything I needed. The place is also off a main road so it was easy to grab some quick food when needed. I would stay again. Thanks Budi!

Nice house to stay

Budi is such a great host. He is very responsive and caring about the guests. The family is lovely. Breakfast is awesome. He also gave us a souvenir before we left as well, will definitely stay here again if we go back to Ubud.
