Exploring Hita House 2 Living With Balinese Family Near Ubud left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Hita House 2 Living With Balinese Family Near Ubud was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Sukawati plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Hita House 2 Living With Balinese Family Near Ubud painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Very beautiful secret place!!!! Look much better than on photos, very friendly guest, feels like in fairy tale
非常享受在这里住的一周,房东是一个非常温暖的人,环境也十分优美,下次来到巴厘岛,我们还会选择这里。
Great place and gretat host. Super accomodative and kind hearted. Love the vibes and people in Bali as i come here gain more that just marathon experience. Worth paying
This was our third stay at Hita House with my daughter, and it has become one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back to Bali. The rice fields behind the house are absolutely beautiful. I can honestly say it is one of the best views I’ve seen in Bali. The location is not in the middle of a tourist area, so it feels peaceful and authentic, but Ubud and Sanur are still easy to reach by scooter or car. Bali Zoo, Tegenungan Waterfall, and Bali Bird Park are also nearby. Breakfast here is amazing, and you can order a delicious home-cooked dinner for a very reasonable price. After eating their food, other restaurants somehow feel less satisfying! Most of all, the host family is incredibly kind and welcoming. They always make us feel at home and take great care of us. We will definitely stay at Hita House again when we return to Bali. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic Bali stay.
great stay came because I read other recommendations and it was exactly like that great host great place
My parents thoroughly enjoyed the stay and had so many positive comments that echo the general sentiment across all the 5 star reviews. I'll definitely fly out to experience the lifestyle vibe at this property. Everyone that's at the house will make sure your stay is comfortable and worth your time.
It was my honor to visit this beautiful traditional Balinese house and meet their family. Each family members were very kind. They helped me with early check-in and changing my booking schedule. Diani showed me around the house as I wished, including family temple and the cat house. I am so happy that I visited Tegenungan Waterfall near the house during my stay. If you want to experience real Balinese life, this is the place. A/C, wifi and hot water worked well. I would love to book it again!
Diani, Suhita, and Rose’s place is hands down one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. The room is part of their traditional Balinese home, which they built with their father years ago. Staying here feels like stepping into Bali’s rich history and craftsmanship. While it’s not a luxury stay, the attention to detail in the architecture and design is truly beautiful and thoughtfully done. On top of that, they were incredibly friendly and responsive, always quick to answer any questions we had. This is not a touristy spot, but if you’re looking to slow down and immerse yourself in the local culture, I highly recommend it.
I always love staying here! The family is so kind and helpful and they treat me like one of their own. The property is beautiful and serene, the villa is so comfortable. Diani cut me fresh fruit every morning which was a great start to my day. She is the kindest soul! I will most definitely be back to stay at Hita House anytime I go to Ubud!
I have stayed here many times before and will continue to do so every time I come to Ubud. It’s only about a 20 minute motorbike ride to the heart of Ubud! I loved my villa on this property and their pets, it feels like my second home. Suhita’s family always treats me like I am part of their own, Diani is not just a host to me but a very true friend. Thank you for having me!
The place is wonderful. Suhitas sister was home and welcomed us with a freshly pressed orange juice. The place was nice and clean. her dogs bark but are friendly. She made a beautiful breakfast, was friendly and helpful.
Great stay as always. Love the vibe. Diani was super friendly and accommodating as always.
One of the most memorable accommodations I've had in Bali. Here I felt real human connection.
Staying here was like staying within a temple. The architecture, furnishings and overall ambience are extraordinary. The Homestay is in Sukawati, a 20 or 30 minute Grab ride from central Ubud. For us, staying in a quiet, authentic Indonesian neighborhood and homestay rather than jam-packed Ubud was a conscious decision. The breakfasts were varied, delicious and generous. The one dinner we had at the homestay was also excellent. Diani provided excellent recommendations on less touristed sites to visit. Lastly the hosts, especially Diani, were incredibly warm and gracious. Highly recommended.
We recently stayed at Hita House and had a generally positive experience. The place was clean and matched the photos provided. It’s a quiet and relaxing spot, away from the crowded streets. However, you’ll definitely need a scooter to get around conveniently. Diani is a great host and helped us a lot during our stay. There are also two dogs and some cats on the property
I want to give it 6 stars instead of 5. In terms of facilities, the price was more than satisfactory. The bed was comfortable in the spacious and cool room, and the bathroom was clean. Hot water was available. There was a dressing table and a large desk where I could work comfortably. The furniture was Balinese style, so it was exotic. The common area was also nice. Eating in the dining room was convenient, and the kitchen was easy to use. In addition, I walked around the temple and garden in the house as much as I wanted and had fun with my child. First of all, the house is so pretty! It is exactly the Bali I had imagined. After leaving this place, I was not satisfied with anywhere else. However, the family here was so kind to us that it became a really good memory. They also speak English well. The host family not only provided accommodations but also helped us understand and experience Balinese culture. Thank you very much.
Love the hospitality from the family - Definitely a gem of a homestay in Ubud! Will be back! :)
perfect, and super friendly! will surly visit again
Thanks Suhita and Rose and everyone, Especially Diani!! Diani taught me many things to make my trip better! Staying here was one of a best memories in this trip! I would love to stay here again when I go to Bali!
We had a fantastic time with Diani, Suhita, Rose & family. Very clean, well maintained, & all comforts considered. We lived here for about 2 months until we found our long term home, and it was the most wonderful situation we could have wanted for our needs. Being so far away from our own families, it felt valuable to have a loving family here that took such wonderful care of us, made us breakfast, and created such a warm & alive atmosphere. Just one look at the fat, comfortable cats on the property will let you know how at home you will feel here! We miss you guys already and hope to visit soon. <3
Parim koht puhkamiseks, privaatne ja püha koht
Hita house feels so peaceful & has great energy. Always a great escape from city life
Hita house is an amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city which makes it a great place to relax and recharge. The hosts are extremely friendly and very willing to help with any issues which you may have, such as answering questions about local markets and giving great food recommendations. This is my 3rd (or fourth) stay here & i will continue to come back every chance i get.
Excellent rapport qualité-prix
Amazing stay! Very Clean and amazing host!
Everything was amazing. It felt like home. :)
Great stay at Suhita's! Diani is so kind. Breakfast is awesome. Beautiful compound with traditional balinese architecture. Peaceful and quiet.
Out of the many airbnbs I’ve stayed in, this is by far the best. Suhita’s sister, Diani, was my main host on this trip and she really made me feel apart of the family. She was so eager to teach me out everything Balinese culture and even took me to her cousin’s wedding. Really hope to stay at the Hita house again in the future! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!
This is the best $20 room in Bali. Diani is the most generous hostess. The rooms are kept wonderfully clean and you have everything you need - wifi, private bathroom, and A/C. Not to mention, the space is beautiful!!
We had a great time at Suhita’s place. It is a very beautiful and clean house, absolutely great value for money. Suhita is a great host, he is very hospitable, friendly and communicative. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Bali.
Suhita and his family are wonderful hosts. Extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. Hita house is beautiful with its traditional Balinese architecture. This is an authentic Balinese travel experience with a very special family. I recommend Suhita and Hita house very highly.
Stayed to Suhita’s place for beautiful 4 nights. Suhita and his sister Diani runs this amazing Balinese accommodation within local residential area. Their sisters visits sometimes to add more happiness and place fill with laughter :) It was an experience you don’t get anywhere else, knowing true Balinese life and knowledge of local tips helped us enjoy more! The village itself is full of living culture to enjoy yet it is close to Ubud - short motor bike ride. Highly recommended for people who would like to have a peaceful stay with beautiful traditional Balinese family environment yet would like to enjoy Ubud has to offer (Sanur is not that far either!) . Airport transfer and whole day customised tour (by car with aircon) can be arranged with fare price so I went with rough plan and asked Suhita and Diani (local knowledge is gold) and they helped complete the plan! They care guests with true heart and staying at Suhita’s became one of my highlight of trip. I’m dreaming of going back there already!
For me the best accommodation in Bali so far! Friendly family with many suggestions to visit and cook awesome delicious meals for affordable prices ;) I hope I will visit their places in future. Many thanks.
Suhita and his sister are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is a dream with a beautiful garden. Suhita showed us the Balinese life and brought us closer to its/ his culture and tradition. We can definitely recommend this place!
Hita house is beautiful, Suhita and his sisters are fantastic hosts, the house is beautiful, and the room is a small palace. Everything is clean, all the time, and there are fresh flowers everywhere! Behind the house are rice-paddies and a view of mount Agung, on clear days! Tasty breakfast and Suhita is a great drive/guide if you want to go anywhere! I stayed for a month, to study Balinese drama. Suhita, Diani, Rini and Siwitri answered all of my questions about their community-life and all the forms of rituals als drama in Batuan village. It was an unforgetttable experience!
Thank you all for your hospitality!
One of the best Airbnb Experience, their house is really beautiful. Traditional Balinese house, really clean and gorgeous. Really true to its pictures. Their hospitality are excellent, they help me during my stay. They gave me advice when I want to hike to Mount Batur. They make sure that I have what I need. They really nice people. Really love talking with them. Thank you so much Bli, Diani and Komang. I'll definitely stay at your place again when I come back to Bali. Until we meet again my friends :D
Highly recommended! Truly enjoyed the time at Hita House. Daily breakfast was wonderful. Place is clean, tranquil and comfortable. It’s located 10-15 minutes to Ubud by Gojek/Grab. There’s a nice beach club called Komune that’s 15 minutes away. It’s close enough to the things that you need yet far away from the busi-ness of the city. Suhita’s family is really wonderful and makes you feel at home. Had a great time learning about Balinese culture & lifestyle from Diani (Suhita’s big sister). Her cats (lambo, porsche, cooper & a few more) are very adorable. Hope to visit again soon!
Highly recommend this lovely place! Suhita and his 3 sisters, Diani, Rini and Sweetrie are some of the kindest people I've ever known, they make me feel like family; I have returned to this villa several times on separate trips to Bali. The villa is beautiful, comfortable and quiet, away from the main road in Batuan Village - but close enough to walk over to a couple of convenience stores, artsy shops, or 15 minutes by scooter to Ubud!!! Airport pickup/drop off was provided for me by Suhita, & he was able to pick up my friends who later joined me for a very reasonable additional cost! Hita house is a beautiful solace with wonderful views of rice fields, small rice terraces and also Mt. Agung in the morning! I couldn't have asked for anything better during my stays in Bali!
Staying here allows you to feel like family! Suhita and his sisters are some of the kindest most helpful and genuinely caring people, they are always willing to help with any questions that I have and offer local tips. This is a beautiful, peaceful property where I am able to feel relaxed and at home at all times. I highly recommend Suhita’s place to anyone visiting Bali!
We recommend +++ Hita House : Suhita and his family are amazing, helpful, and very warm. We where able to share Balinese culture and learn rudimentaire language. Included Breakfast is delicious and generous : homemade with typical balinese products (possibility to have qualité lunch and dinner on the spot). The 2 bedrooms are very clean, spacious with hot water and AC. All furniture are made by the family in dad's workshop. If you want, they Will give very good advice during your Journey. If you come to Bali you must to stay with Diani, Rini, Switri ans Suhita. With my husband Eymeric, we went back 3 times during our travel :-). This family did everything to make our trip wonderful and we were very sad to Leave them but it's not a goodbye, Just a soon. A Big thank you for everything !!!! ☺️
I don’t know where to start. This family is comprised of some of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. I cannot explain how generous, kind, welcoming, helpful, hilarious, and caring they are. They went above and beyond for us, during and after our stay. In total we spent 6 nights at Hita house, sharing in breakfast and dinner with Suhita and Diani daily. They make the best healthy and delicious food we had in Bali, they sometimes surprise you with fresh juices or homemade treats and they always bring along a fun and energizing atmosphere. The house is gorgeous and built to actual Balinese traditional standards. The area behind the house is equally beautiful and full of pretty walks and -on a clear day - a great view of Mt. Agung. If you are reading this review, I promise you that you will not find a more wonderful homestay in Bali. I feel so lucky to have found them and to have gained some new family members. ❤️ See you next time Suhita, Diani, Rini, and Switri!
Where to start... I spent three wonderful days at Hita House. Suhita and Diani are the kindest and most helpful hosts. Everything here is pristine, the hospitality goes ABOVE AND BEYOND, you literally become family, the house is beautiful and an actual traditional Balinese home, the rice paddies behind are spectacular and the walk to the waterfalls is a true adventure. Staying here started of my trip in the best way possible, lots of smiles and laughs as well great advice. The breakfast is beautiful and can be requested as vegan/vegetarian. I purchased the dinners every night and it was equally as beautiful and filling! I would recommend everyone stay here for a few days, it’s outside of the crowded Denpasar and will give you a taste of true Balinese people. We will definitely be back! Suhita & Diani terima kasih!
Sukawati is a quieter, rural sister-town to Ubud. From Sukawati, you can enjoy many of the destinations people seek from Ubud (e.g. Tirta Empul, Tegenungan Falls, etc.) without the incessant hustle and bustle of heavy tourist traffic. In fact, Suhita's house is a short 15-minute walk from Tegenungan Falls, as well as the Sukawati Art Market and Batuan Temple. Behind his house are several acres of rice fields, which he was happy to show us. Suhita's house is very beautiful and very clean. He lives there with his sister, who makes the most delicious breakfasts every morning. (As an additional bonus, vegetarian and vegan breakfast is available on request!) The room we stayed in came with a lock for the door, though I felt that we did not need it. All of the windows also have screens on them for insects, and the bed also has a net should you require the additional peace of mind. You get your own room with air conditioning, a fan, a private shower, Western-style sit-down toilet, and the most gorgeous traditonal Balinese porch. Suhita and his sister are some of the friendliest people I've met and went the extra mile to make us feel at home. Suhita was always available to drive us places and enjoyed sharing stories about Bali with us. His English was very good and communication was never difficult. Suhita's house is a gem amongst AirBNB locations and anyone would be lucky to stay here. If you are looking to skip the wild party scene of Ubud this is the ideal place. I am sad we did not stay here longer!
Hita House is a lovely place to get away from the business of Ubud, explore the beauty of Bali, and learn about the Balinese life and culture. I have been coming to Bali for 22 years now, and feel I have found a special gem here in Batuan. The family at Hita House was so warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. Things I enjoyed most... walks through the rice fields to the waterfall, discussions about Balinese life, making coconut oil, sipping delicious fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious meals, and lots of laughter. If you stay here, you won't regret it. Thank you all!
Ketut, Diani, Rini, and Sweetrie have been the warmest hosts, we were made to feel like family from the moment Ketut picked us up from the airport. Breakfast was fantastic every day and timed out perfectly to meet our morning schedules. Ketut is a wonderful chef! We used the family’s motorbike every day for a very fair price, when we had issues with finding our way to Ubud (about 20 min by motorbike) or running errands, the family jumped to help us with everything! Their home is also beautiful and very relaxing, it is Bali style outside and modern on the inside (clean, private bathrooms with hot showers, no bugs) they even had 4 newborn kittens who we loved to play with at the home!!! I would return to Hita House in a heartbeat, can’t wait to stay again!
