Exploring Lake Batur Cabin left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Lake Batur Cabin was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Kintamani plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Lake Batur Cabin painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
The host is very responsive. The local guide Putu is kind and offered us the boat tour, fishing, the night fire, and the guided hike to Mount Batur. Putu’s mom cooked us fish, which was absolutely delicious! It was a fantastic experience to me and my family. The only downside is the flies - it’s the regional problem not due to the home stay. Due to the volcanic ashes and the organic fertiliser, there are many flies in that region. So if you care about it, you could skip kintamani region.
nous sommes mitigé sur notre séjour au lake batur cabin car: - la route est peu accessible et accidentée - l'endroit est plutôt isolé et la route passante sale et parait pauvre - les abords du lac sont pollués par les mauvaises odeurs et les insectes - la cabane n'a aucune isolation et on entend le bar pas loin avec musique et gens qui parlent fort Pour autant : - putu et sa famille sont d'une gentillesse rare et d'un accueil adorable - l'hôte est très arrangeant et nous a rendu des services très précieux (transport au restaurant et retour à notre prochaine résidence) - nous avons pu mener les enfants pêcher au lac - le trek pour le mont batur fût très bien et complet (guide + déjeuner + visite bains chauds) Je pense que ce logement est plutôt adapté aux globe trotters et randonneurs peu regardant sur le confort mais pas aux familles avec enfants comme la nôtre. Warm and friendly host, amenities can be improved. Nice views and surroundings minus the flies but that's normal in that area. Good enjoyable stay if you are looking for authentic experiences.
Unser Aufenthalt in der Hütte war unvergesslich. Das Haus ist wunderschön eingerichtet und alles ist sehr sauber. Der Ausblick vom Schlafzimmer auf den See mit Bootsanleger ist atemberaubend schön. Putu und sein Team sind perfekte Gastgeber. Zuerst hat Putu uns in unserer vorherigen Unterkunft in Ubud abgeholt und auf dem Weg nach kintamani noch einige interessante Stopps mit uns angefahren. Außerdem haben wir in seinem Brot eine Fahrt über den See gemacht und den Sunrise hike auf den Mount batur. Er hat uns zu einer besonderen tempelzeremonie mitgenommen und abends im Garten Lagerfeuer gemacht. Ein zusätzliches Highlight war das Essen, dass seine Mutter für uns am Abend gekocht hat. Es war köstlich und auch für mich als Vegetarierin gab es ganz viele Möglichkeiten! Wir danken Putu, seiner Mutter und seinem Team von Herzen, für diese wunderschöne und authentische Bali-Zeit.
Authentique avec une déco magnifique. On a fait un tour avec le bateau et une expérience de pêche. On a aussi compris la culture locale grace à Putu qui nous a aussi expliqué les détails du temple et les spécificités de la culture de Bali !
Excellent séjour. Nous avons été incroyablement bien accueillis, les hôtes sont adorables et pleins d’attentions qui ont rendu ce séjour, bien que court, extrêmement agréable. Merci pour tout!

Wij zijn ontzettend gastvrij ontvangen door Putu en zijn moeder. Ze hebben ons werkelijk deel uit laten maken van hun leven. Putu nam ons mee vissen op het meer, voer langs de randen van het meer voor sightseeing, bracht ons overal naartoe waar me maar heen wilden. De hike naar de top van mount Batur voor zonsopkomst was een geweldige ervaring. De plaatselijke hotsprings waren heerlijk. De cabin is schitterend en heeft Putu zelf gebouwd! Heel charmant met een super uitzicht. Meest fantastisch waren de avonden om het kampvuur en het geweldige diner dat Putu’s moeder had bereid en de overheerlijke ontbijtjes met bananen-pannenkoekjes. HEERLIJK!
We waren aangenaam verrast over het huisje (zo schattig), de ligging ervan (prachtig aan het meer) maar vooral de gastvrijheid en volledige toewijding van Putu en alle anderen! Zeker een aanrader!
From the moment we arrived with 2 young kids Putu and his team were absolutely amazing. From several fishing trips to driving us to dinner and accompanying us to the local temple Putu's attentive, gentle nature made us feel so welcomed and at home. We had such a wonderful experience staying here. When we reached the stay, putu, junior and ginar welcomed us with bonfire and shared stories about their village, the culture. The view was spectacular in the morning during sunrise. We postponed some of our plans to stay and watch the view. Putu and junior took us to the lake by a boat. At the end they took us to a Hindu temple, Devi danu temple. The people were humble and made our stay feel so calming. We are planning to stay for more days during our next stay. Overall it was a slow paced nourishing experience in the stay and with the people
A great stay, our family felt welcomed and well looked after. The weather let us down, but everything possible was done to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Kids loved it, thank you
This was one of my best experiences in Bali! There are so many beautiful parts to explore just in this neighborhood! Putu, is SUPER knowledgeable, talented with the English language, kind, efficient, and made this stay comfortable. I WANT to come back here! This was just great and the breakfast included was yum 😋. 11/10 recommend! Thank you, Lake Batur staff! You really exceeded my expectations!
Thank you Putu for the most wonderful stay. Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful lake cabin - it’s well worth the money. Putu makes you feel like part of his family. Hommade banana pancakes for breakfast, warm campfires at night to cozy up to and look at the stars. Putu even takes you out the lake on his fishing boat to catch some fish and look at the fishery! He also allowed me to bring my Bali dog 🐕🫶🏼 the beds were comfy, blankets very warm and the kitchen has everything you need! Hot showers, and don’t worry about no AC. You don’t need it here it’s chilly, you will need pants/sweatshirt for night time ☺️ It was a such a pleasure staying at your home, Putu, than you again from the bottoms of our hearts! Wow. I’ve never written a review like this before, but if I could give this place 10/5 stars, I would. It was exactly as described, but what truly stood out was the kindness of the staff, the beautiful cabin, the lovely food, and how welcomed and cared for we felt. When we arrived, Putu and Junior offered us dinner, set up a fireplace, brought us tea, and chatted with us around the fire. It felt like they genuinely wanted to get to know us. I booked this place because of the amazing reviews, and now I completely understand why. Putu and Junior took us on the Mount Batur hike, captured amazing photos, kept us safe, and were so kind the entire time. They even took us out on their boat and brought us fishing. I live here and wanted to show my visiting friends a beautiful part of Indonesia, and I feel like I found an absolute gem. The views, the food, the cabin, and especially the people made this experience unforgettable. All I can say is: wow. Absolutely recommend.

We only spent a few hours at this wonderful little cabin due to our early morning trek up Mount Batur but our family of 4 were bowled over by the incredible hospitality shown to us by Wayan and the rest of the staff. She welcomed us with some locally made dumplings and made us feel right at home. Wayan also organised a boat ride on the lake for us, complete with some fishing, which we all loved. The cabin itself is very cozy, with incredible views of Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains. After our trek the next morning Wayan had made us banana pancakes and fritters for our journey home. We really appreciated her wonderful hospitality and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cabin.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Lake Cabin. The place was easy to find, clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with warmth and poetry. A lovely little garden surrounds the house, which made the atmosphere even more special. The view of the mountains was stunning, and the nearby activities (Mount Batur at sunrise, the hot springs, and the coffee plantation) were fantastic. But above all, it was the kindness, patience, and helpfulness of Putu and Wayan that made our stay truly memorable. We spent the first evening in the garden around the fire, chatting among women with Wayan. Then we had the pleasure of meeting Putu the next day. He kindly acted as our guide and driver. They both speak English very well and genuinely care about making their guests feel at home. The following day, his mother cooked a delicious meal for us, which we enjoyed together in the garden, after a wonderful boat ride on the lake. A big thank you for all these moments that will stay in our hearts.
Absolutely loved our time here. Felt right at home. Putu was so warm and welcoming. The view is incredible, the bed is comfy, the place has everything you could ask for. Loved it and would love to come back so that I can experience the boat trip! Peaceful, pleasant.

Awesome stay
Putu and his lovely family were amazing hosts. Putu will help you with any queries or recommendations for food, hot water springs, bike rentals etc. He also provides tours for sunrise treks on Mt Batur, Mt Augung and that too at good rates. If you love fishes, they will get fresh tilapia from the lake and grill it right in front of you on a bonfire in the evening. Ohh a d they have fishing equipments as well. The morning views of the mountain along with the lake, directly from the bedroom is absolutely breathtaking. This is the perfect destination for those who want a quiet and peaceful retreat.
Wij hebben 3 dagen verbleven bij Putu en zijn familie. We werden warm onthaald en kregen ook gelijk het voorstel om meegenomen te worden naar een leuke lunchplek! De service was top, Putu staat de hele dag voor je klaar en zijn familie zorgt voor heerlijk ontbijt! De cabin was erg gezellig en lekker knus. We hebben ons verblijf afgesloten met een gezellig kampvuur voor de cabin samen met Putu en zijn lieve familie. Al met al was ons verblijf hier geweldig en zeker een aanrader!

Il y a aussi beaucoup d’activités à faire et qu’il vous propose. Le mont batur avec lui est juste un moment hors du temps, il peut aussi vous proposer une balade sur le lac en bateau, une initiation pêche, balade dans le village avec ses grottes, les temples ect…. Beautiful and very quiet place. Great getaway from bigger cities like Denpasar or Ubud. The views are great and the host is extremely hospitable. Highly recommend this place

I would give 20 stars if I could! Room was spotless. First floor was cosy and made me feel like home while the second level was comfortable and we had a great view of Batur the moment we open the room door. Bli Putu brought us out to the Danu on a boat trip where we had first hand experience of getting the fish for dinner. He gave us a tour of the pools also. The bonfire on the last night sealed the deal where we deeply engaged with local culture when Bli Putu, Wardek, Ibu, 2 of his staff sat together, chit chatted and shared about everything under the sky. I would definitely return again.
Loved our stay by the lake. Putu is an amazing host - friendly, super responsive and a very kind man. The space has everything you need. Beautiful views in such a sacred place. Would love to return one day. Bonus for pet friendly!
I had a wonderful experience. The cabin was beautiful and had everything you might need. It was very clean and comfy. What really made it special was the hospitality from Putu. He gave me the full tour of Kintamini, showed me all the best spots and offered to drive as well. I brought my camera and he even helped take photos. I had a great experience and I wish I could have stayed longer.

The cabin is situated right in the village. Lake views are absolutely spectacular and you can't beat the sunrises and sunsets. Mr. Putu is an excellent host he picked us up from and dropped us to our destinations for a reasonable rate. He was available to take us to dinner and the next day flexible with taking us sight seeing, taking us for lunch, helping us book an ATV tour at Mount Batur through a friend at a great price (highly recommended) and waiting for us at all our destinations without an issue spent his entire day and into the night being available for us, even showing us a bat cave and driving us to get our washing done and arranging for it to be done in a short amount of time. Mr. Putu is so knowledgeable about the area. Junior and his lady staff member and mama Putu were all also lovely hosts. One of our favourite stays. Just be mindful being in the village you will hear roosters and village noise day and night, but it doesn't take away from the great experience overall.
The view from the cabin is priceless, we enjoyed our stay so much, excellent breakfast and Putu was so helpful with great recommendations and organizing our trek for sunrise at Mt Batur for very good price, thank you 🙏🏻
Super cabine partiellement ouverte vers l'extérieur avec une vue magnifique sur le mont Agung et son lac. Putu et sa famille sont d'un accueil et d'une gentillesse formidable, ils prendront soin de vous afin que vous vous sentiez au mieux. Le logement étant localisé dans un petit village, il faut s'attendre à des célébrations et donc un petit peu de bruit aux environs, mais cela fait partie de l'expérience. Merci encore et à très bientôt!
This is a really special place to stay. The views of the lake and volcano are spectacular. It’s cozy and has everything you need including a water cooler. But what really makes it amazing is Putu and his team. They make you feel like family. He will give you a ride to the store or dinner. He will give you great advice on where to eat and what to do and make sure you are looked after. And we learned so much from him about the community and Bali. Thanks for the amazing stay!

We had an amazing time (even if it was a short one!) in this beautiful house perfectly located near Mount Batur. It’s an amazing place to be surrounded by warm, welcoming people, the place is super clean and we even have been provided a great dinner, thanks a lot!
There’s a reason this place lets you check in early! Soak in the amazing view of the surrounding mountains. We even manage to have our own stargazing session during our stay! Pak Putu and the rest are the staff are super helpful during the our stay. If you are keen on trekking the nearby mountains, let them know prior your stay and they will most prolly able to help you out! :) It’s a regret we only stayed for one night, but would’ve definitely starred this place for our future visit!

Putu is de host van het verblijf. Het was ontzettend aangenaam hoe beschikbaar en betrokken hij was. Er was een tempelceremonie waar hij ons mee naartoe nam en waar hij alles uitlegde, hij organiseerde een boottocht voor ons en begeleidde ons bij een trektocht op de kam van de krater, via lokale families / dorpjes. Putu is een ongelooflijk goede gids: kan veel vertellen over de cultuur, religie en het leven in Bali. kader zorgde voor heerlijk ontbijt, Putu Junior gaf ons een gezellig kampvuur. Enorme aanrader!

Thank you Putu, Kadek, Ari, and Ibu for your wonderful hospitality! We had such an authentic and unforgettable experience at the lake cabin and surroundings. Putu was always so helpful. Picked us up all the way in Munduk, and drove us to the cabin. There he gave us many suggestions of all the activities to do around the area. Ibu and Kadek cooked us this wonderful fish dinner by the fire. Our guide Ari was great and sunset and sunrise at Mount Batur was unforgettable. Breakfast was included and delicious! Putu drove us to our next destination in Sideman stopping at Besakih Temple. This is a very special temple. Thank you for your kindness Putu!
A bit difficult to find the place but the neighbourhood is very helpful and friendly to assist us in finding the place . Great hospitality by the staffs, beautiful view of the Mount Batur. Definitely will recommend and come again with family !

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful location and if we could give 10 out of 10 we would. The hosts are beyond kind and always on hand. We fished, played with a kite and enjoyed an evening bonfire. Putu helped organise our sunrise trek which was great with our 9 &14 year old. We enjoyed a dinner together at a nearby restaurant that Putu drove us to and checked out the local hot springs and best situated coffee shop we’ve ever been to. The accommodation is lovely, well decorated and great wee kitchen if you need to cook a simple meal. The views from the upstairs bedroom is beautiful. We stayed 2 nights and loved every minute. Bear in mind it’s remote but Putu makes it a very comfortable stay.
A pleasure and a privilege to stay at Lake Batur cabin and be so exquisitely nurtured and cared for as a family by Putin and Kadek . Our family enjoyed many special and Sacred experiences in the Water Temple- early morning sunrise Mount Batur trekking- homeschooling and worldschooling opportunities aplenty . Learning about the richness of the Balinese mountain/ lakeside cultures was a highlight. Our trip of 3 nights and 4 days was perfect. We will be back - Lake Batur Cabin ticked ALL our boxes
Our stay at Lake Batur Cabin was absolutely incredible. The view is unmatched. Waking up in the morning and opening the doors to the view of Mount Abang was next level! The cabin itself was wonderful, had everything we needed and clean. Beyond this, our hosts Putu, Junior and Kadek were absolutely amazing people who took the greatest care of us. From making us banana pancakes for breakfast (even at 5.30am!) to taking our kids down to the lake to fly kites. Putu and Junior took us all fishing by the lakeside where we caught and released some fish. Junior and another local guide, Ari, guided us to the top of Mount Batur with our kids who are 14 and 7. If you can do this - 100% do it! The views are absolutely phenomenal!! Putu took us to a restaurant named Cintamani both nights which was an amazing feed with a mix of dishes that suited all of us. Our last night, Junior set up a bonfire for us to sit around and chill out to some tunes. The best vibes ever! We loved this stay so much!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Putu ! Il a été si serviable, ainsi que tout ceux qui l'entourent, y compris sa Mama ! Nous nous somme sentis comme à la maison. La vue est superbe, à deux pas du lac. Nos enfants ont beaucoup aimé pêcher, et l'ascension du mont Batur a été aussi une belle aventure. Putu nous a proposé de nombreuses activités, et était toujours présent pour nous ! Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit. Il faut toutefois dire qu'il y a de nombreuses mouches (nous préférons ça aux moustiques ;), mais il s'agit de toute la région, pas spécifiquement de cet endroit.

Our stay at Lake Batur Cabin was amazing! The view is stunning, and the hospitality was exceptional. Putu made our trip unforgettable, accompanying us to the hot spring, floating restaurant, fishing, and temple. Kadek was incredibly helpful and kind. We loved the freshly picked vegetables from their garden, the cozy bonfire, and the peaceful atmosphere. Fishing in the lake was a highlight—I caught seven fish! Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to come back!

If you want to have a really authentic experience then Putu’s cabin is the best place to go. The cabin which is situated near the water temple has a beautiful view surrounding the lake and the mountains in front. Putu and his team made a great job welcoming us and making us feel like home from the start. They walked us around the village, let us pray at the temple and cooked for us breakfasts and dinners. He is a very kind and thoughtful person, he made sure that we are alright by making way out of his todos. He even came to hike Mount Batur with us and offered to drive us to our next destination. I highly recommend his place if you seek a more quiet, relaxing and authentic experience.

Huge thank you to putu, putus mother, kadek and the two juniors for making us feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this place to travellers visiting Kintamani/Bali. I enjoyed the campfire night, stories that they shared and the snacks that were prepared. They went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and well-fed. It is a wonderful place, overlooking the lake and a chill place to unwind. I will definitely be back the next time im in Bali 💛

La cabane de la déconnexion, face au lac, tout est fait pour se ressourcer, attendez vous juste a pas mal de mouches. Mais au vu de l'accueil de Putu, Putu junior, Kadek et la mama, on s'y sent tout de suite bien Nous y étions en famille, nous avons pu aller pêcher tous les jours les tilapias du Lac grâce à Putu qui est vraiment au petit soin, puis monté le Mont Batur et profitez des hots spring Un hôte bienveillant et très a l'écoute de nos besoins La cabane faite par lui même est vraiment adaptée et magnifiquement décorée Je conseille vraiment ce lieu et reviendrons avec plaisir revoir ce petit havre de paix de Bali Merci beaucoup Putu
Great stay and the most lovely host I have ever met in my life.
Putu is the host of the house. Together with his team - Kadek, Putu Jnr and his mum, we had the best time in Kintamani! ❤️ Putu spent his time bringing us around the village over the days we stayed at his place. He even went up Mount Batur with us, helping us to carry our young boy up while trekking up the volcano. All in all, he went beyond being the host of his house to give us the best experience in Kintamani. 💯 for him and his team!
Все было прекрасно не считая ночного урагана что немного помешал нам спокойно спать но это не зависело от хозяина . Жилье чистое, ухоженное, есть все необходимое, хозяин очень приветлив и гостеприимен, комната на втором этаже восхитительна !

It’s was so peaceful and chill place. It’s really was feeling like home your grandma. Biggest respect to Putu and Putu jr for everything. I’m sure next time I will stay there again!
We had such a great stay, being shown all the local sights and generally being so well looked after from check in to check out! As mentioned in other reviews there are flies in the daytime (all around Lake Batur area) and it being a cabin on farmland in a volcanic crater it's difficult to keep spotlessly clean, but anyone who can put up with those things will have a beautiful time.
The best Airbnb experience ever ! Putu our host and his friend small Putu were the kindest ! Putu brought us in a temple with him and visit a bat cave and then we all dined together around a firepit ! We had a blast ! I will remember this experience forever ❤️
C est une très jolie cabane, pleine d attentions fournies par le propriétaire, lui même très serviable et adorable. Nous avons passé un charmant séjour au frais au pied du mont batur.
Groẞartigster Aufenthalt auf unserer Balireise. Wir wurden äußerst herzlich von Putu und Familie empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und hat einen wundervollen Blick auf den See. Du hast die Möglichkeit alleine für dich zu sein, aber wer möchte kann mit Putu’s Gastfreundschaft und Erlebnissen ein schönes authentisches und einzigartiges Reiseerlebnis bekommen. Von Frühstück bis Sauberkeit alles super. Große Empfehlung.
L’accoglienza di Putu nel nostro alloggio è stata a dir poco straordinaria! Sempre attento e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta… ci ha accompagnato a conoscere i luoghi più importanti della zona, a svolgere preziosi rituali di purificazione nei templi e ci ha dato consigli su cosa vedere e cosa fare nei giorni della nostra permanenza, guidandoci e spesso portandoci lui stesso nei luoghi consigliati! Casa meravigliosa, entrambe le stanze affacciano sul lago Batur e la visuale sui monti Batur, Abang e Agung è davvero magica!! Putu ci ha inoltre messo a disposizione una guida per il trekking sul monte Batur con dei prezzi ottimi!! Torneremo assolutamente per godere di questa pace e per tornare ad incontrare Putu e la sua bellissima famiglia. Consiglio questo alloggio con tutto il cuore! :)

Waking up to the sunrise over the lake was magical, and the nights were equally enchanting with the clear, star-studded sky. One of the highlights was the personalized breakfast prepared to our liking, with fresh ingredients picked right from the garden. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. Whether you're looking for adventure or a peaceful retreat, Lake Batur Cabin is the ultimate destination. I can't recommend it highly enough!
It was so incredibly beautiful. There really are no words to describe the view. Our host was terrific. Whatever we needed he arranged. He was a great tour guide, helped us find our way to all the places we wanted to go to. We learnt about Balinese culture and took part in a traditional ceremony. The beds are so comfortable too! Thank you Putu and family for an amazing experience 🙏
Wow! What a place to stay the staff were all lovely and even prepared us breakfast and dinner. Such lovely hosts giving us information about the local area and suggestions on what to do. They took us out on the lake and we did some fishing with them and they cooked us up some local foods. Would highly recommend it and is way worth the price.
