Exploring Luxury Traditional Teak Joglo in Tropical Gardens left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Luxury Traditional Teak Joglo in Tropical Gardens was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Seminyak plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Luxury Traditional Teak Joglo in Tropical Gardens painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Place was terribly maintained - white towels were grey from being old - cups in the toilet had stains - bed sheets and pillows had stains - rooms had a musky smell - floor slightly dusty - floor mats were all stained and dirty - fridge was not clean - laundry service was overloaded but did not inform us. Only subsequently they sent someone for laundry service - bats come at night and make a mess, if there is no housekeeping (on Sundays) the mess by the bats are left there. Very unhygienic and was not made known before the stay - local taxi service was not allowed in that area - overpriced for the quality. One of the worst villas I’ve stayed in.
Rooms were extremely clean. Staff cleaned the rooms everyday. Location is very prime. Accessible to everywhere. 24/7 security infront of the villa. Unlike the beautiful and clean rooms, the kitchen was very dirty. The kitchen and living area are exposed. Kitchen utensiles, plates, glasses were dirty. Since the property is exposed, lizards were surfing around on the walls, roof and on the kitchen counter. There were also bats in the property that were flying around the roof. The coach beside the pool was also very dirty and we couldn’t comfortably sit on it. They have put few water bottles (glass bottles) in the washroom and it said “mineral water” on it. My girlfriend and I had that water for drinking and we got extremely sick. We asked doctor to come in and each we paid $600 for the doctor visit. When I asked about the water bottles from the property manager, they told me that the bottles were for brushing tooth not drinking! But the water bottles said mineral water on it!
Place was hard to find. Address from Airbnb took us to a different place. Ended up lost and walking a few blocks with our luggage to finally find this place. “Concierge” texted me a link to the bnb. Beware that you can’t get picked up in front of bnb if you use grab/private driver. Have to walk a couple blocks down the road. The “security” sitting outside will yell at you and your driver. They want you to use them for rides but they charge double or more for what you can get on Grab and one of the times we did use them they didn’t have any change at all for us. First night Animal came and pooped in the living area by the pool and on some of the pool furniture. Staff came next day to clean while we were out. Overall this place is ok. Pool is the highlight. The “taxis” out side just make it very inconvenient to get around. When leaving for the airport we had to drag all our luggage down the road at night just to get our Grab for the airport.
Apart from the horrendous check in process where our booking was mixed up and we were informed only half a day before and had to change to another villa last minute, we did not get to stay at the villa we booked. Upon arriving at the other villa which the owner had asked us to go to, no information was passed on to the staff. No one knew that we were checking in villa kiki instead. The villa was not ready for us to check in. Maintenance works were ongoing , floor was dirty. Contact person lluh told us that we did not have a booking, told us to leave the villa. Upon discussion, was rude and hanged up on us. We were left stranded there for a while until the house keeper brought out a folder with contacts. Extremely grateful to Yohana who then helped us to settle in and our stay on was great if not for this unfortunate event. Please improve on the booking system so that no one else has to go through the same terror we faced.
The villa was beautiful, well-maintained, and looked exactly like the photos. The concierge service was excellent, always responsive and ready to assist with anything we needed. We requested massages, car services, and food, and everything was arranged seamlessly and with great care. One consideration to note is the villa’s location. While it’s not in a central or walkable area, getting around by car is very easy. That said, we did encounter an issue with local transportation access. The street where the villa is located appears to be controlled by a group that prohibits the use of rideshare services like Grab. When we once tried to use a bike service, we were confronted in a way that felt uncomfortable. For guests who prefer using rideshare apps, you might want to walk to the next street to avoid any potential issues. Aside from that, we had a truly wonderful stay and appreciated the attentive hospitality throughout our visit.
Max and his team were really proactive & responsive! We received prompt messages when the booking was made, with clear laying out of the various services available, as well as clear directions to the villa. Every query we had was answered & addressed right away. The villa at a glance appears as per photos, although the kitchen could do with some updating and a deeper clean in my opinion. The common area is lovely and open in the day. This is a double edged sword when it comes to overnight when insects and bats might leave certain traces around come morning. That said, the team were responsive to our feedback that additional cleaning would be required in the common areas as a result. The bedrooms are spacious and well cooled with the A/C, although one of the 3 bathrooms had a bit of a smell. No issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms though. Overall, this was a good-value villa for 6, that could use some updates, but run by a lovely team.
Max’s place was beautiful, me and my friends were very satisfied with the villa. Only downside is that it’s quite a walk from the main street however there’s always local drivers to help you get around at a very reasonable fee. We enjoyed the pool and had a great time in Bali!

I enjoyed my stay at Max’s house, it is a beautiful and peaceful villa . The Only thing I didn’t like was the local people outside was very loud . And we couldn’t play music because they complain. So depends what your plans are you will enjoy 100% of it . The villa is more familiar than going to your friends type of plan . Thanks anyways, my favourite part of the villa was the master bedroom and its bathroom.
The villa itself was exactly what I expected. However, it was not peaceful at all. The villa is the first one in from the road and from 6am till very late at night, approx 10pm, there were constantly 4-6 men sitting right outside our villa doors. These men run a transport business, they apparently lease the spot right outside the villa, and are very loud. They sit right outside of our open bathroom, on the other side of the wall so it feels very intrusive. At first we believed they were villa transport as they would pounce on us as soon as we opened our door. As you can not Gojek/ taxis etc from the street the villa is in, you need to walk up end of street to wait for these. On our 4th night there, up on the corner of the street, one of us had our bag ripped from our arm from a passenger on a motor with phone and money stolen. Apparently the fifth person to have this happen to in this spot this week! Therefore, felt pressured into using the drivers at our door in fear of our safety.
The aircon was above the bed and one of the aircon was not working well...and also, we were not allowed to use any taxi/Gojek except their own which was not disclosed before we reserved.
Fantastic villa really well situated in Seminyak. Brilliant concierge service who booked beach clubs for us. Really lovely pool and day bed area to relax in. Loved the daily service the lady was a real joy to have around and really helpful. The facilities at the villa were excellent and we loved having the security outside - especially with the kids.

집도 크고 위치도 좋고 편안했습니다. 여러집이 함께 머물기에 좋습니다. 대체적으로 만족하지만 주방이나 수영장이 조금만 더 깨끗하면 좋을것 같아요. :)
Communication was prompt and thorough. Check in & out was easy. Staff was very competent. Location is in proximity to everything you need. This villa is well-designed but shows some wear & tear. The pool is beautiful. The air con works very well. If you are a person (like us) that wants to be able to catch a Grab or other on-line transport, this is not the place as the “taxi mafia” sets up camp right outside the front door and will harass the Grab driver if he pulls up. Other than that, everything was fine.
别墅在一条很深的巷子里，周边还是有点荒的。但是确实走大约十分钟左右可以到一个购物的地方。因为留在网站的电话是错误的，以至于我没有及时联系上别墅经理，房东有提前给我，我没有注意到和网站的不一样…别墅厨房用具还是很齐全的，别墅也很漂亮！
Maxime's property was located close to shops and restaurants in Semniyak. The staff was friendly and adjusting to our needs. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. There were a few hiccups dealing with the manager at times as she manages a lot of properties it seems but all in all we enjoyed our stay at Maxime's villa. We won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else. Thanks Maxime.
Die Villa Marula war einfach nur grossartig und genau so schön, wie auch auf den Bildern ersichtlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und auch wenn es kleinere Probleme gab, waren alle sehr bemüht, diese schnellst möglich und optimal zu lösen. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl in dieser wunderschönen Villa gefühlt und möchten uns auch noch herzlich für das Entgegenkommen bei Problemen bedanken!
Sensational Villa. Peaceful, relaxing! The pool and outdoor living is sensational and we really felt like we were on holidays! The air conditioned bedrooms were sensational and beds extremely comfortable. I slept so well! The area is a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak, yet also walkable to shops and cafes/ restaurants etc. and easy access to transport. Max, Yanti and team were fabulous in every way! We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Marula!
Our family stay at the villa was great! Max was very responsive and Dewa (check in manager) and Yanti (housekeeper) were very nice and super helpful. Place was exactly like the photos, private and quiet. Location was a short ride to Eat Street / central Seminyak. Also in walking distance to a fantastic Teppanyaki restaurant and local Japanese restaurant / cafe with great food & coffee! We would definitely stay at the Villa again!
Marula Villa was an amazing 2 week stay near Seminyak! The property was exactly as listed and didn’t disappoint. We absolutely loved the fact of the Inside being Outside and even the little visitors in the Lizards, Bats and Wildlife that you need to expect when living in this Villa. The three bedrooms were all excellently dressed and all 3 Bathrooms of an equal standard. The location for us was ideal and the local taxis were happy to take us in to Seminyak for what I can only describe was very good value for money. There are plenty of amenities within walking distance if required as well as a local bar and shops. The pool was a welcome rest bite to the humidity and was well maintained through our stay. The team that came to the Villa kept it in great condition and when Bats had visited was cleaned up quickly and you would never had known they had been there. We did have a few issues which were dealt with swiftly and resolved promptly. All in all we loved it, just too short a stay… 🤩🧘♂
We absolutely loved our stay here. The villa was exceptionally clean and so spacious, we had much more room than we expected, which made it really comfortable for the four of us. One of the things we loved most was how peaceful and quiet it was. It felt very private, and we always felt completely safe and secure, which made it such an easy place to relax. It was lovely coming back after a day out and having such a calm, comfortable space to ourselves. Everything was beautifully looked after and the whole stay felt effortless. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere spacious, peaceful, private and beautifully clean.

We have just completed our stay at Villa Marula and I must say we miss it already. This place is stunning. Please make sure you get the staff to cook a meal for you during your stay as it was out of this world. The whole VBM team looked after the 5 of us from start to finish. You are made to feel at home as soon as you enter the villa. With 3 king rooms and all with their own bathroom, you will never run out of space. The central seating area is perfect for chilled evenings around the pool.
Very nice property, had no issue. The only problem I faced was lizards but that is a personal issue and in a place like Bali it is unavoidable I suppose. Other than that, great experience and great place if you are travelling with friends and family.

Villaen i sig selv er helt fantastisk og vi vil til hver en tid komme igen. Vores guider Ajik og Ana gjorde starten på vores ferie helt fantastisk. Kan helt klart anbefale Max og hans villa, hvis man skal bo i Seminyak.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Max! L’environnement de la maison est calme tout en se trouvant à proximité de nombreux restaurants et magasins. La maison est très agréable et bien entretenue. Le service de conciergerie est réactif et à répondu rapidement et efficacement à toutes nos demandes. La femme qui vient faire le ménage quotidiennement est très gentille et serviable. Merci pour tout!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Max's Villa. We had 6 adults and a baby and all our needs were met. The cleaner came every day and any request for assistance was dealt with quickly. The people were very friendly and we felt safe and secure at all times. It was easy to walk to shops and restaurants and being able to use Grab for deliveries is a real bonus. I would recommend Max's Villa to others
The villa was amazing! Great location with plenty of restaurants and coffee places within walking distance! So convenient having a taxi stand outside too! Max and his team were incredibly helpful and attentive!
The villa was outstanding, excellent facilities and excellent service. We were greeted for check in and also check out. We felt very safe as there was security outside our door 24/7. There were drivers available just outside which was extremely helpful. Overall we loved our stay here and would highly recommend this to any family.

Our stay at Villa Marula was above and beyond our expectations, from the time we first made a booking to the day we left the Villa everything was perfect and as described. We arrived and greeted by villa manager Dewa Dita, Dewa was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. My wife and my family have travelled around the world but nothing compares to our stay at Villa Marula, everything you want or need is in close proximity, the Villa was so comfortable, private, relaxing, secure and the list goes on and on. Thank you Max, Dewa and the whole team @villabalimanagement, we cannot thank you enough for making our stay something my family and I will never forget.

We loved our stay at Max’s villa. Everything was just as beautiful as it looked in the listing. Max was a very responsive host and helped us with an airport pickup. The location was very good. Just a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants or an easy cab journey. We will definitely be coming again.

Stunning villa! Rooms and bathrooms are massive! Highlight was the pool, usually pools this size are absolutely freezing but this one was a beautiful temperature that we could spend hours in. Max is also such a great host, my second time booking through max and nothing is ever too much trouble!

Myself and my friends had an awesome stay at this Villa. We felt right at home being greeted on entry even know it was very late, we had a car organised for us and picked us up on time and safely delivered us to the accomodation! The accomodation was clean, comfortable, accessible, well maintained and the little creatures were around which we love! Pool was so amazing and so clean! On departure we had vehicles ready for us and Dewa made our departure so streamline and easy! We felt safe, comfortable and well hydrated. The cleaning service was so top notch and the communication with the Villa was so responsive and easy! Would definitely stay again! Thank you

Villa Marula is absolutely stunning! From the moment you open the door you’re wowed, greeted by the lovely staff and lush beautiful gardens. The open air space was made of tropical dreams, complete with the gorgeous big day bed by the pristine pool. The rooms and surrounds were styled with so much thought and flair. Beds so comfortable and the main suite was such a treat. This is not just a villa, it’s a 5 star Bali experience!

Had a really great stay here! The place was spotless and felt really comfortable even better than the photos. The location was perfect, quiet enough to relax but still close to everything I needed. The host was super friendly and responsive which made the whole process smooth from check in to check out. You can tell a lot of thought went into making the space welcoming and I really appreciated the small touches. Definitely one of my better Airbnb experiences would happily book again!

We had a great 2 week stay at Villa Marula! It is a beautiful villa. Very comfortable rooms and living area. We used the pool everyday. The staff were all lovely and super helpful. It was no trouble setting up a pool fence for our toddler. The cleaner was there everyday and kept the place looking super clean which is no easy feat with 2 young ones. We had a couple of breakfasts catered for which were absolutely amazing. The location was very peaceful considering it is near some busy roads. Easy taxi/scooter ride down to beach and main restaurant area. Not too far to walk either, but we often opted for taxis/scooter with out little ones in the heat. I would definitely recommend staying here.
We stayed here with our family (5 adults) and highly recommend Max’s place! It is absolutely stunning and the pool is amazing! Yanti our housekeeper was amazing and the concierge service was so quick for response and very helpful! Great location and we can’t wait to come back!
We booked the place for our family holiday. The place was perfect, extremely well managed and maintained. We had all the things needed, including packaged drinking water. The rooms are spacious and clean with all of them air-conditioned. Kids enjoyed the pool. We got the pool fenced since we had young kids. The villa is an absolute gem and we will definitely like to come back during our next visit.
De accommodatie komt overeen met de foto’s en beschrijving en de communicatie is geweldig. Er wordt snel gereageerd en ze helpen je overal mee. Wij waren met 6 volwassen en 1 kind van 20 maanden. Ieder had zijn eigen ruimte en de overdekte ruimte was geweldig om samen te komen. Er staat bewaking voor de deur en ons taxichauffeur Yan Edu was vriendelijk, stip op tijd en rijdt zeer vakkundig. We zijn meerdere keren op Bali geweest en zaten de andere keren in Sanur en dat vinden wij persoonlijk een leukere omgeving. Wij hebben het hier enorm naar onze zin gehad en is echt een aanrader.
Nous avons vécu un séjour incroyable à la Villa Marula. La villa est magnifique et très bien située. Le personnel de la villa fait un très bon travail et est toujours à l’écoute. La concierge réactive à toutes nos demandes, diner, voiture, location de scooters. Nos recommandons à 100%.
The photos simply don’t do this place justice. It’s a hidden gem, a little slice of paradise, with the most incredible host and staff. Max and his team went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The 24-hour concierge service was a game-changer, always available and ready to assist with anything we needed. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
Pity we could only stay a few nights. The house is amazing and would have loved to enjoy Seminyak a bit more while living there.
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Max und der Concierce-Service waren immer gut erreichbar. Zum Beispiel ist die Klima bei uns ausgefallen, jedoch hat Max direkt für Ersatz gesorgt und dass die neue Klimaanlage installiert wird. Die Unterkunft ist schön & eher ruhig gelegen, nicht gerade an einer Hauptsstrasse. Daher können wir nur 5/5 Sternen abgeben :)
Villa Marula was perfect for our family of 6 adults and one child. The pool was clean and inviting. We hired Yanti who cooked breakfast and one celebratory dinner. Excellent cook and cleaner with happy personality and warmth. She felt like family after day 1. The villa allows family time and private personal space when needed. Communication through Villa Management was rapid and responsive and onsite security present and friendly. Taxi driver’s associated with Villa were courteous, quick to arrange transport including airport transfers with competitive prices. Highly recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Stay in Seminyak! Our stay at villa Marula was incredible! The space was beautifully designed, spotless, and had the perfect mix of modern luxury and Balinese charm. The private pool was a dream, and the location was ideal—close to great restaurants and shops yet peaceful and private. Max was amazing, always helpful and attentive. Every detail was just perfect, making our stay truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!
WOW. Absolutely stunning villa. Was exactly as the photos but much bigger and so beautiful. Everything was perfect. Four staff members met us on our arrival with cold flannels, homemade juices and a fantastic welcome. Showed us around. The villa is magical. Beautiful back lighting at night around the greenery. The pool is perfection. Music speakers to hook up Spotify around the villa. The staff were amazing. The cleaner was divine and so helpful. She took our laundry and came back next day all pressed. The cleaner , pool man and gardeners came every day. We paid for packages with them including floating breakfasts which were beyond stunning, cars daily which were right outside the villa door. The security were literally outside the villa door 24/7 which was amazing. There was nothing more you could ask for. Made our honeymoon truly magical and will definitely be returning using Max and the team. Everything was just perfect. Million per cent recommended to anyone.
Our stay at the Marula Villa in Seminyak was incredible. We couldn’t believe we had the Villa all to ourselves - a huge, beautiful pool, a large outdoor living space, and a large kitchen. We felt very safe with 24/7 security outside our door, and there were always lovely locals available for transport. Our absolute highlight was Yanti, who was the amazing housekeeper. Yanti was so lovely and we were so lucky to have her look after us, and she made sure we were okay when we fell ill. She kept everything so clean & tidy, and she cooked us a delicious Indonesian breakfast one morning. For a very small price Yanti even took our clothes to a local laundromat. The communication with the host was excellent and they responded to any of our needs very quickly. It was great to have a water filter so that we could easily access safe water. When we go back to Bali, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much for having us ❤️

Would recommend staying!! Villa was pristine and pool was amazing. So many local shops nearby and so close to beach. The outdoor living space was so inviting and open whilst the rooms gave everyone enough privacy. The daily cleaner was amazing and so friendly. Overall very good vibes would stay again!

Max's place exceeded all expectations. It truly was all the photos made it out to be and more. The entire space is so thought out and the immacualte styling and attention to detail shine! Max gave the perfect level of communication and he and Dewa were only a message away with any queries. Highly recommend

Die Villa Marula ist sehr schön, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und wären am liebsten länger geblieben. Der Empfang in der Nacht um 1 Uhr war sehr herzlich, wir wurden mit einem Willkommensdrink begrüßt und der Kühlschrank war sogar schon nach unseren Wünschen gefüllt. Das war ein sehr freundlicher Service. Alles war sehr sauber, sehr gemütlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Direkt vor der Villa saß 24 Stunden eine Security, sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Wir hatten immer innerhalb weniger Minuten ein Taxi und haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt. Ein besonderer Dank an Dewa, er hat alle Wünsche erfüllt und war immer erreichbar. Beim nächsten Bali-Urlaub würden wir wieder in der Villa Marula übernachten.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Marula. The local staff were just beautiful along with the security guys and drivers outside the villa. Always helpful and accommodating. Wish we spent more time here rather than at the hotel. We will be back.
Stayed in Marula Villa for a week with 6 girlfriends in total and the stay was absolutely perfect. Host and his team (Dewa was our amazing concierge and Yanti our amazing cook/cleaner) were extremely responsive and always happy to help. The villa is gorgeous and very well maintained (cleaned 6 days a week) and everything is about a 5min ride away or 15min walk. Highly recommend!

La villa est tout simplement incroyable, tout est fidèle aux photos postées. La société de conciergerie et tout particulièrement Dewa et son équipe ont été aux petits soins avec nous. Accueil chaleureux, réactivité super pendant le séjour et les dames qui venaient quotidiennement s’occuper de la villa sont tellement gentille. Nous avons également pris plusieurs fois la prestation de repas à domicile et ce sont de vraies cheffes ! Nous nous sommes régalés. En bref un séjour absolument fabuleux!

Loved staying here, beautiful separate rooms each with own outdoor ensuite. All rooms lead onto the open space area with beautiful pool. We were met by the host who showed us around and made sure were were happy. Host also helped us arrange the cook for dinner and met us on departure to ensure our stay was everything we wanted. Would recommend and would stay again.

Villa was extremely big. We love the swimming pool so much that we swam every night. Villa had a portable speaker which was great as we are able to vibe to music daily. We requested for breakfast and it was prepared to us without any issue. The security guard post was station right outside our Villa thus we felt very safe. Overall it was a pleasant stay in the villa. Big thank you to our host Dewa for answering all our queries and requests.

We loved our stay at Marula Villa. It is beautiful and well kept. The cleaner came in everyday and did a great job at keeping it clean and tidy. Dyan met us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a great stay. The Villa is really quiet, relaxing and very secure with security outside the door. 10-15 minute walk to Seminyak Main Street but closer to other restaurants/cafes/supermarket/massage etc. Would definitely recommend.
Loved this place, like having your own private resort! We thought it looked better than the pictures and the hosts were fantastic as well as very responsive. One of our favourite Airbnb stays ever. Also great having the local drivers nearby for whenever we needed to go anywhere, as well as felt safe with security nearby too.

Las instalaciones preciosas, todo decorado con mucho gusto y con mucho mimo para pasar unas estupendas vacaciones. Max es super atento y amable y está disponible para cualquier consulta sobre la villa. A nuestra llegada nos recibió Dyan, quien nos dio la bienvenida y nos enseñó todos los detalles y servicios que ofrecen en la villa. Desde cocinero privado, encargándose de comprar el aprovisionamiento para elaborar los menús, conductores para excursiones, facilitan alquiler de moto, hasta masajes en frente de ma piscina. We really enjoyed our stay in Max’s villa. The villa was clean, private and had all facilities needed including laundry. All staff were amazing and couldn’t have done anything more to help, faultless! We continued to use the recommended staff into our next stay in Ubud. Would recommend, and definitely will return. The villa is truly amazing. We loved the private bedrooms & the open communal space. The bats did create a little mess the next morning but we loved watching them at night & fantastic cleaner cleaned up every morning. Location is brilliant & although you can walk our drivers through the management company on hand for us all day with brilliant advice & days out. Felt Max & the drivers made our holiday of a lifetime

Tolle Villa, sehr sauber. Max und das Personal super lieb, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir wurden sehr gut umsorgt und alle sind sehr hilfsbereit. Entsprach absolut 💯 unseren Vorstellungen und den Angaben. Jederzeit wieder gerne und nur zu empfehlen! Zum Glück etwas ruhiger, da mehrere Villen in der Gegend und somit nicht zu viel Verkehr. Trotzdem ist man schnell auf der Hauptstraße bei diversen Geschäften und Restaurants.
as soon as my friends and i arrived we were welcomed with a nice cold welcome drink as the weather was still humid and was given instructions if we neeeded any special services to let management know so they can organise it which was really thoughtful of them.... everything was like the description and more... nice clean place.. had proper clean water filter/dispenser to drink from...everyday we were given clean towels, bed was always made etc i would definitely recommend Max's place for your next trip..
This is the best Villa we stayed at in Bali! The Villa is very spacious, and clean. It is very relaxing to spend our evening at the pool surrounded with beautiful garden after a long day activities. Will definitely recommend this Villa to our friends and family.
A wonderful location behind the gate on a small side street in a quieter part of Seminyak. The villa is in excellent condition and we loved hanging out by the pool morning/evening watching birds in the garden. Very easy walk to shops and restaurants, and beach. There is also a lovely coffee shop at the end of the road serving good coffee/shakes/breakfast. We really enjoyed the chill time here before flying on to our next destination. The taxi drivers outside are also helpful and ready to drive you where you want (for the same cost as Grab but keep it local). Dylan and staff were very helpful for an earlier check in and looking after us during our stay. Thank you Villa Marula team :)
Max was very responsive. The villa was beautiful. We had a wonderful week there. You can’t use grab because it is a private lane but you can walk up to secret supper to call a car there.

Dyan helped us check in/out, she made sure we were comfortable and was the friendly face we needed when we arrived and left. Xanthi left the whole property spotless every single day and was always happy to help out with whatever we needed in the villa. We were so happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this villa.

It was my parents' first time experience stayed at AirBnB villa and they loooovee it. The Place was exactly looks like in the photos and even more beautiful in real life. Love the ambience and the pool! Not to mention all staffs were super friendly and helpful. They have 24/7 security right in front of our villa. Never feel safer stays in airbnb before. Will love to go back when in Bali for sure!

The villa was in a perfect spot, situated in a quiet street not far from the centre of Seminyak. It was a very spacious villa with large bedrooms and entertaining area. The staff were very helpful and kind, organising airport transfer, early check in and a driver upon request. The security out the front of the villa was very reassuring and made our group feel very safe. The villa was cleaned every second day, whilst we were out which was a wonderful service and made it feel like we were staying in a resort. We look forward to coming back and staying at Villa Marula.

We booked Villa Marula for a 1-month stay with 3 adults and 2 young children and we highly enjoyed our stay. Max, Desy and their team managed all of our many requests promptly, efficiently and they fixed any problems that we faced. The team had solid recommendations for places to visit and for any services that we needed. The cleaning staff were thorough and the breakfast service was really convenient. The swimming pool was a real highlight for the kids and we got a lot of use out of it. The villa is tastefully furnished and laid out, though the master bedroom could use a facelift. Another minor detail, the TV hangs above the Kitchen so it is in an awkward spot and we couldn't use it for the kids. In terms of location, the villa is in Bidadari which makes it easily accessible to Seminyak as well as Changgu and surrounding areas. Worth noting however that the local Bidadari transport authority has prohibited external taxis (e.g. Metered Taxis or Gojek) from pick-ups in the area, essentially trying to force residents to use their local (more expensive) taxi services. This resulted in some heated discussions on the street. This by no means reflects on the Villa Marula team as it is out of their hands but worth mentioning for any guests planning to visit. Overall we would highly recommend the Villa Marula for a family considering a longer term stay near Seminyak.

Maxime and Desy are incredible. They were very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions. They are also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful. The place was very clean and had all of the necessities for a few night stay.

Me and my friends had a wonderful experience staying in Villa Marula. The ambience was very nice; we love the design of the villa. The pool side lounge was our favourite spot because we found it unique and eye catching when we first saw the picture in the listing, and it turns out that it was very cozy. The staffs were so kind and thoughtful to us. The electricity went out but the staff immediately took care of it. The location is bery strategic. Kitchen amenities is very complete and they also provide ice which was nice because we could enjoy a few glass of cold drinks. The price for us was a very good deal and we would definitely stay here when we visit Bali again sometime soon. Thank you so much Maxime and Villa Bali Management!

Villa Marula is one of the best villa we’ve ever stayed. The Pool is amazing, with glass walls that you can take picture under water. My kids really really lovee it. The villa is well maintained, very clean and everything we needed was there. The location of the villa is a plus too. Also security guards 24/7 in front of the villa make us feel safe. We had a wonderful month long stay. Maxime & the manager Desy very heplful and responsive. Bu Yanti, the staff is very friendly, she cleans 6 days a week. Very fast to response and available for anything that we need. We were even able to book a massage at the villa. Overall, we’re really happy with our stay and looking forward to come back here again!

The villa is a very nice place to stay. The pool is quite big and long enough and the relaxing space is spacious. I’d say the venue is safe as the security guards were 24/7 in front of our villa. The security guards were friendly and so were Mrs. Desy and the housekeepers. Maxime, the host is very communicative too. The water dispenser and the coffee maker were not working well and I thought they were going to fix them but they suprisingly brought us brand new dispenser and coffee maker instead! Will definitely come back as this villa is very homey especially for a big family like us!

Villa Marula is just amazing. i love everything in it. it is very pretty and spacious. it is very clean and the amenities are complete. they also provide extra bed which is very thoughtful. i really love the ambience of the Villa. it looks just like the pictures. my favorite is the swimming pool! it’s so big and sophisticated. also, Kak Santi is very communicative and helpful. she is so nice. the location is perfect too. i would definitely come back! very recommended!! thank you.
The villa is quite spacious just like in the picture, the decoration and interior somewhat photogenic. Just maybe some statues and paintings isnt for everyone. The cooking utensils is quite complete, and so as the dishwear, we had everything we need. 24 hours security in front of the villa is great, they also help to arrange our big rented car to find a space to wait eventhough the street is not that big. Location not too far to go to mainstreet where there is warung nuris and gusto, plus if you just want to gojek the food, many nearby resto is available. It is comfortable if only 6 people staying, we were 7 ppl and was asking abt extra bed which cost 200k. actually there is extra bed available in the villa just not sure abt the cleanliness and no extra linens and blanket, so we didnt use it. There is a big clothesline which very useful for us to hang swimwear etc. Disinfectant spray and hand sanitizer also available in the villa (for covid concern).

This is a great place in Seminyak to host a large group. Fits three couples very comfortably in 3 separate structures. In the center there is a beautiful pool, and amazing lounge area. There was a kitchen that was equipped with everything we needed, and nice dining area. There is 24 hour security outside the locked area; and these guys will arrange a car for you and make sure you don’t overpay. Breakfast provided if you say 4 nights or more.

My friends and I had a GREAT experience at ”the Villa Marula”. Bali is beautiful and we took in all the sights and fun that Bali has to offer but what made our trip extraordinary was Martha and her staff, and our amazing villa and the amenities that was offered. Martha and her staff made sure we were pick up from the airport and taken cared of at check in. After that we took advantage of all the amenities that was offered. We used their staff for breakfast every morning which was delicious also for most of our dinners. It was restaurant quality with restaurant service. Another amenity we used almost every day was the car service. Agus our driver was so friendly and he helped us plan our days so we saw all the attractions and did all our excursions smoothly. The hardest thing to do our whole trip was leave our villa to go and do our excursions. The Villa Marula is a Zen and serene sanctuary where we would get up every morning get into the pool and never want to get out. Breakfast would always be ready by 8 (our choice) and when we’d get back from our day of experiencing Bali we would come back to the cleanest villa and end our day where we started it....in the pool. Iluh the villa manager and her team of cleaners and cooks were great. We always woke up to a clean living area after a night of drinking and eating, and would always come back to a clean bedroom at the end of the day. Quick response times and make our trip as easy as possible.
We had an great time in the villa with a group of 6 friends. The driver, Dewa, was very nice and was already waiting when we arived at the airport. The villa was amazing! The staff was very helpful with renting scooters etc.
Maxime is a great landlord. He has a professional team who can immediately handle any problems when you live at the villa. My family and I stayed here for 2 days and felt very comfortable. At the first day, we didn’t have enough cash for picking-up cars, his manager named Iruh borrowed us one million personally. At the last day we originally should check out at 12:00 according to airbnb booking, but our flight was scheduled at night, Maxime and Iruh offered us extral hours staying for free. Thanks very much. We highly recommend this accommodation. We were a group of six people, three couples, visiting Bali for two weeks. All the time during our stay in the villa we were satisfied with everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The villa was beautiful and was cleaned everyday. It is perfectly designed for six persons (3 couples) with a cosy atmosphere. Its location is quiet but close to everything you need. The beach is about 10 minutes far by scooter. We would like to emphasize that the communication with all the staff went very well and they were very reliable. We think that we are lucky to have chosen this accommodation. We kindly thank everyone there for the unforgettable time.

And there's an entire team of service personnel that will help you with everything you need. Of course, things like the driver service, laundry service, breakfast are not included but it's very affordable and highly recommendable. Our driver became a friend and even if it is a little more expensive than the local cabs to go with him it's just so convenient and more fun. The laundry service is great and you don't need to be afraid of having them ruin your cloths (at is the case in some other places). The breakfast (especially the Baline Nasi Goreng) is perfect with abundant amounts of fresh fruit. Plus: you get quite a lot of nice things for free at the Villa: drinking water, coffee, tea, fruits and fresh towels. And electricity is included. So is there anything not so good? Not really much. We had quite some mosquitos but that's not the owners fault. And if you have trouble with the noise of nature you might dislike the geckos' noise by night. Just be prepared to meet some animal life that naturally occurs here (like lizards, cats, squirrels, bats, huge shiny Bugs, ants and the one odd cockroach). It's like a botanic garden including the wildlife. I loved it. Finally, the Villa is located in a great area (Seminyak) but if you want to walk to Restaurants or the beach it's not fun to do. Better take a cab. And our final recommendation: try the traditional Balinese massage at the villa just next to the pool! It's so good!

Absolutely 100% perfect stay. The four of us didn't want to leave. The rooms are beautiful, the beds and pillows are so comfortable snd smell amazing. The photos really doesn't do it justice. The place is perfect. Our kids said "mum I think we should ask is we can live here". Already so many friends have asked for the details after we posted photos. We will definitely try and stay in this villa again. Taxi driver, Wayan from outside the villa was lovely. We walked to the main road in Seminyak and did some shopping. All,in all, above average stay. Highly recommended

Villa was great, 6 adults stayed comfortably here for a week....would also be good for well behaved children too. A 20min walk to Seminyak's busiest street full of shops, cafes, bars, nightclubs and restaurants, plus plenty of places much closer to eat & drink. Concierge right outside the main door to the villa can also organise a taxi in minutes if needed. I'd highly recommend a stay here. Maxime was great to deal with also, great communication and very helpful. :)

Villa Marula is even better in real life compared to the photos. We had a very enjoyable stay. The villa manager gave me a mobile phone so that I can reach her whenever I need anything which was great. My family and I had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone. What a beautiful Balinese style villa. It is not bang in the middle of Seminyak but it is close enough to the shops and restaurant. Getting a taxi through the security guard is easy enough. Maxime was a great host. The communication is sometimes delayed as I can imagine she is busy as she is managing multiple villas. But just message her again and she will reply.
Villa Marula looked exactly like the pictures had shown it to be, and the daily cleaning staff were helpful and friendly! Even when one of the air-conditioners broke down, the efficient maintenance staff fixed it within hours. The driver (Made) recommended for us was also knowledgeable and friendly, who went the extra mile to find us in the middle of Jatiluwih rice terraces when it started raining heavily. With the driver, we were also minutes away from great shopping places, like Seminyak square, Jalan Legian and Jalan Oberoi. Every day, drinking water was provided with our rooms, dishes and even clothes cleaned! Thank you so much for hosting us!
One of the best things sbout Villa Marula is how safe you feel. The 24 hour security guards were fantastic, helpful and very friendly.

100% worth it! Everything was just beautiful and clean. We didn't have any complains at all. The place was extremely beautiful, well organized, and just a peice of paradise. The staff was so sweet and nice. Check in and out was smooth. We even had meals cooked at the villa for an affordable price. Will definitely come back!
We we're so pleased with Villa Merula, this villa is even better than the photo's, the lovely manicured gardens give the villa such a tropical feel and Yanti the housekeeper cooked us an amazing breakfast each morning, of bacon, eggs, fresh fruit and tea/coffee/juice. We love the traditional Balinese layout of the villa, it was just beautiful. Thank you to Pierre for checking everything was ok for us. We'll be back.
因为登机之前发现女儿护照不满六个月了 所以告知当天无法登机…我们并没有住上这间房…由于已经到了入住日期 并且此房是遵守严格退订制度…本以为房费不会退…没想到房东超级nice…知道我们的情况后退还了我们一半的房费…没让我们过多的损失太多…真的很感谢房东…下次有机会再来一定还订这间房！👍
Die Unterkunft war ideal für unseren Urlaub. Der Service ist absolut überdurchschnittlich. Man hat eine eigenen Haushälterin die einem für einen super Preis Frühstück macht und jeden Tag (ohne weiteres Entgelt) das Anwesen reinigt. Ansonsten ist der Service die Größte Stärke der Villa. Man bekommt beim Check in ein Telefon mit dem man kostenlos die Managerin erreicht die für einen jegliche Concierge-Services bietet. Von einem Fahrer über eine Massage bis hin zum Ausdrucken der Boarding Pässe wird alles schnell erledigt. Alles zum fairen Preis oder kostenlos. Einzig die Englischkenntnisse können manchmal etwas hakelig sein, aber Nichts was man nicht irgendwie hinbekommt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, trotzdem ist man nicht weit vom Center in Seminyak entfernt. Die Unterkunft war exakt wie auf den Bildern abgebildet uns sehr sauber. Natürlich ist man nicht im kalten und es rast auch mal ein Gekko über den Boden. Das ist aber auch irgendwie cool und klar bei einem so offen gestalteten Wohnbereich. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und der Gärtner kommt alle zwei Tage. Die perfekte Familienunterkunft für uns.
Villa was amazing exactly as pictured . 5 min walk to local shops and restaurants. Security were always on hand to arrange transport and help with anything we needed great bunch of guys. Cleaner /gardener and pool guy always made sure the place was looking fresh after we would come back from a long day out .

The place is exactly as seen in the pictures. Everything is so neat and in perfect order. When we arrived, the house is already clean and ready for us. The staffs were really nice and helpful. We really love the pool and the living room. We really enjoy staying in your place. Definitely will be back and recommend it to anybody ;)
The Villa was just as it appeared in the listing. We actually got more than we bargained for as the Concierge (Johana) was always there when we asked within minutes and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Arrival was plain sailing and we were settled within minutes of arriving. The House Service (Yanti) was just sensational. Always smiling and trying to be out of our way, we hardly knew she was there. A Villa supplied phone for our use was a great idea and came in very handy.
Host was easily contactable and service staff were also responsive. 24/7 security was a great thing too. Very enjoyable stay and will recommend!
Everything about this villa was amazing! We were in bali for work and we were constantly rushed to get to places but we are so glad we decided to stay here instead of a hotel because we got our much needed relaxation time. The area is very private and quiet and we felt very safe because there was a security guard outside of the villa 24 hours a day. The housekeeper was very nice and she kept the place always very tidy. The pool or this villa in generally was much bigger than I expected. I would definitely come back here next time with a bigger group of people. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
We had a wonderful experience staying at Villa Marula. The Host, manager and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The villa is very luxurious and has everything you need to enjoy and relax. I will definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a great villa and it is very close to the heart of seminyak.

This was our first trip to Bali and the location of the villa was great. A short trip to the centre of Seminyak by motorbike or car. The 24 hour security was always available to order taxis for us and the villa felt safe and secure.
Super villa, big enough for a family with children, and very well decorated. The staff is really helpful, great chef for dinner !! Had a wonderful stay, close to Seminyak and in a calm place.

I can't begin to praise this villa and Maxime enough. Photos do not do it justice!! Everything was perfect. The location is in a quiet area yet walking distance to seminyak square or a short taxi ride. The 24/7 security out the front made us feel extremely safe and the housekeeping were so lovely and accommodating, Even cutting up fruit for us daily. The villa itself is amazing. Great aircon in all three rooms, a comfy bed and the Showers had great pressure and temp. The pool was amazing!! In the sun all day until about 3pm and then started to shade a bit which was a nice change. The wifi was strong which is so rare for Bali. Maxime was the perfect host, despite being on the other side of the world he was so attentive and replied as soon as he could. Whilst we couldn't meet him, Illuh the manager was so lovely and helpful! Honestly couldn't ask for more in an airbnb.
