Exploring Munduk Mountain Estate - Serene Mountain Retreat left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Munduk Mountain Estate - Serene Mountain Retreat was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Banjar plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Munduk Mountain Estate - Serene Mountain Retreat painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
The villa looks exactly like the photos, which was a great first impression. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 small kids under 2 (1 toddler, 1 infant) Pros: Stunning views and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Conveniently located next to a hotel with a restaurant and coffee shop offering beautiful views. Spacious, private villa with a lovely jacuzzi. Family-friendly, especially suitable for those with young children. Cons: Compared to another villa we stayed at in a similar price range, we expected a higher level of service. Unfortunately, the service was just average, and there was no coffee machine provided. Breakfast options were very limited and could use improvement. We ordered dinner at the villa, and the food was disappointing. I recommend dining at the hotel restaurant across the street instead. Basic toiletries were provided, but there were no toothbrushes, shower caps, or slippers. Overall: It was a good experience, but not quite worth the price for what we received.
This place is an absolute treasure! We chose to stay here for a change of scenery and a couple of cooler days, and really enjoyed it. Each room was comfortable and special, the accommodation has so many cute spots to relax in. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful and made our stay extra special. The breakfast was just delicious, too. As for the location, you will either need to make use of a driver or be a confident Scooter driver due to the quite steep slope down to the house and the general windy, hilly surroundings.
We had an absolutely amazing stay! The villa is even more stunning than the photos. The views are breathtaking, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed. The pools, sauna, and all the little luxurious touches made it feel like a true retreat. The team were exceptional—so warm, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a peaceful and unforgettable place to stay - this is it. We would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Indonesia.
We had an amazing two night stay at Munduk Mountain Estate and cannot wait to come back. The home and setting are nothing short of magical. Walking through those front gates it is literally impossible not to have your jaw just drop in shock at the beauty. Everyone was incredibly helpful, kind and so accommodating to our group. We got assistance arranging meals, incredible waterfall tours, and drivers for all our needs. Munduk is one of the most beautiful parts of Bali and not to be missed. If you’re thinking of booking a stay at this villa while enjoying Munduk - do it! You will be sooo happy you did!

What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Desi, Made, Rezaa, Katut, and the entire team offered exceptional hospitality. Every detail was handled with care and warmth, from delicious meals to anticipating our needs. No request was too big or small—they went above and beyond every day. The Villa & The Hosts From the moment we booked, the communication was seamless. Monika and Agung were fantastic hosts, providing us with great Airbnb history and background that made us feel incredibly welcome before we even arrived. The villa itself was absolutely excellent. It is beautifully designed, but the real showstopper is the view—it felt like we were literally sitting in heaven, looking out over the majestic Munduk mountains. The Verdict The service here is top-notch. Arik and his service team are attentive, professional, and deeply care about their guests' comfort. Combined with the breathtaking villa, this made for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Munduk. We would come back in a heartbeat!.
one of the view places i visited where the place in real is more beautiful than the picture, it is a real gem clean peaceful . the staff from the manager Arik to the chef and De Rezea who was responsive any time of the day . Photos don’t do justice! The villa and the view felt almost magical. The staff were very accommodating, helpful and efficient. Facilities are very well maintained and our mom really enjoyed the kitchen! Kitchen is beautifully built and well-stocked with more than everything you need. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. Living room and entertainment room were clean and cozy. The home is kid-friendly too which was a plus! Thank you Arik and team for making sure we had a comfortable stay! Beyond thankful for a great weekend!
I stayed here with my husband and children, and we were beyond satisfied. This place offers a completely different Bali experience, surrounded by breathtaking nature while still enjoying complete, well thought out facilities,It truly feels like staying in the middle of nature without giving up comfort. The views are absolutely unreal. The staff were exceptional and genuinely caring. When I had a small accident, they immediately helped and even arranged a local massage therapist for me. That level of attention made our stay feel effortless and safe. If you’re looking for a unique Bali escape where natural beauty meets comfort, this place is truly special. We would absolutely come back.
Our stay at the Munduk Mountain Estate in Bali was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty—helping plan our adventures, arranging drivers, and even scheduling massages. We stayed four nights and immediately wished we had booked a longer stay. The estate itself is stunning—far more beautiful than the pictures can capture—and the staff was truly top-notch. Although we originally planned to stay with six guests, two were unable to join, so the four of us enjoyed three of the luxurious bedroom suites. Every detail exceeded expectations. One of the highlights is the location: away from the crowded tourist areas, offering a glimpse of the “true Bali.” I even enjoyed a peaceful jog to a nearby temple by the lake. The meals prepared for us were outstanding, and once again, I have to emphasize—the staff is simply the best.

이 숙소는 저희 가족이 머물 숙소 중에 가장 좋았고 가장 놀라운뷰를 가지고 있으며, 매우 청결하고 깨끗 했습니다. 빌라 인테리어와 가구 등은 포스트가 매우 세심하게 빌라를 지었다는 걸 알 수 있었으며 지내는 동안 매우 편안하고 안락 하였습니다. 지대가 높은 곳에 위치에 있다. 보니까 습 하지도 않고 매우 쾌적하였으며 수영장 옆에 있는 작은 자쿠지는 약간은 쌀쌀한 날씨에도 놀기 매우 좋은 장소로 제공 되었습니다. 너무나 즐거웠고 아름다운 추억을 쌓았으며 눈이 부시게 아름다운 산의 풍경과 늦은 저녁에 아름다운 별들을 잊지 못할 거예요.
We spent four peaceful days in this villa. The house matches the photos perfectly – it is spacious, thoughtfully designed, and offers a stunning panoramic view of the mountains. Mornings are sunny, and often in the afternoon, clouds start to roll in. We were lucky to enjoy some beautiful sunsets. It’s especially pleasant to relax in the jacuzzi in the evening when it’s cool, then take a dip in the cold pool, right next to a fire pit where the kids roasted marshmallows. We were two adults with four teenage boys, and we all enjoyed our stay. The staff are very polite, and you can order delicious meals prepared on site. The portions could have been a little more generous (but to be fair, we have four hungry teenage boys!). If you love nature, peace and quiet, moments of relaxation, and spending time with family, this house is perfect for you.

This was one of the most beautiful houses I've ever seen, ever. It is grand but not pretentious, clean and modern but blends with the surrounding jungle, the staff were extremely nice and attentive. The rooms are huge, the main bathroom is a jewel, looks straight out of a dream. This is the house that's almost too good to be true

We arrived to a Friendly Welcome and were put onto a What's App group which included the Host and Chef. The Villa is amazing with incredible Views. The Food cooked by Made and Disi was delicious and they attended to all our dietary needs. The Service Team is very Professional and Friendly. We had a wonderful stay and would Highly recommend this Villa situated in the Quieter part of Bali with it's Mountain and Jungle feel. Thanks to all involved.
A place made in Heaven ! We are a couple with two toddlers. Munduk Mountain Estate offered us a classy, wonderful, peaceful, restful, and toddler-loved stay that is unforgettable. The views are breath-taking and child-friendly. Absolutely recommended !
This place is truly unforgettable! Book it. Munduk is a great retreat from busier parts in Bali and you cannot find a better place to stay during your visit. The home is incredible: the architecture, design, fluid indoor/outdoor space, the view from the huge wrap around porch, all complete with a pool/spa/home entertainment room/and fireplace. The garden areas are also perfectly maintained. Even with how amazing this villa is, the best part is the staff. Arik, Made, Desi, Rudi, Gede, and Reza were all so kind, responsive, and helpful. We had several dinners and breakfasts from the comfort of the dining room and/or outdoor patio thanks to their incredible chefs that offered a wide array of western and indonesian options accompanied by fresh fruit daily. Whenever we needed something (a motorbike rental, a cab ride to a restaurant, a fire started, etc.) the staff would handle it at a moment’s notice. This was an incredible place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty in Munduk.

merci infiniment pour ce magnifique logement, encore plus beau qu'en photo. le lieu est à couper le souffle, et les services proposés sont incroyables. la nourriture est excellente, la qualité du mobilier est très bonne. la piscine et le jacuzzi étaient parfaits, avec une vue sur la jungle. je recommande vivement pour passer des vacances inoubliables loin du stress. très certainement je reprendrai ce logement si je reviens à Bali. encore merci

The most peaceful part of our honeymoon was the 3 days spent me and my wife. Away from everyone great food from the chiefs, lots do in the area! I highly recommend this place!!
I was a little hesitant at first due to the lack of reviews (which is explained in the description), but I managed to take the risk anyway, and I am so very grateful to have done so. This was genuinely one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed at hands down. The space, the location, the staff, everything was an easy 10/10. Secluded in the mountains, the house is situated quite literally over the clouds, making it the perfect get away from the noise of daily life. The fact that the villa is fully serviced is such a unique luxury touch to the already lavish home. The staff had my family and I added into a group chat from day 1 and were extremely responsive around the clock for any queries or requests. I could go on and on, but words do not suffice the experience of this airbnb, all I can do is urge you to experience the same. Thank you to the hosts and lovely staff, till next time.
My expecting wife and I had a magical stay at this stunning villa in Munduk. The breathtaking views, serene surroundings, and beautifully decorated rooms provided the perfect peaceful escape. I have stayed at Monika’s twice within the same 2 month trip because it was hard not to return. Munduk is a beautiful part of Bali with tye unique ecosystem of a cloud rainforest. The lakes, waterfalls, hikes, and botanical gardens are beautiful attractions. For my family, it was a place of serenity to escape to. The team thrust manage the property are extremely kind and considerate. They make the stay a luxurious experience allowing you not to lift a finger. Beds are very comfortable (some of the best we had over two months of travelling the island) and it is very quiet during the day and night.
Lived in Indonesia for 13 years but never been to Munduk. Monika and Dan's home is the perfect base to explore this amazing area. We found so much to do and could have stayed longer! The house is great with three spacious bedrooms - the kids room with the bunk beds is really cute and the kids loved it. The living room is huge and has a fire that we lit every night and the kitchen is well equiped with a view to die for! The deck around the house is beautiful and the hot tub certainly got used a lot too! There are a bunch of restaurant options nearby (Ulekan is particularly good) but we mostly cooked at home. We brought some of our own food and the in house chef (who speaks good English) went shopping for us at the local market. He even helped us to set up and cook on a bbq on our last night. The other staff are friendly and communicated through a groupchat. This meant we felt the house was really private but they would come in a second if we messaged them. Overall amazing!
Mundek Mountain Estate is absolutely beautiful! The property is on top of the mountain with crisp and cool air. The infinity pool overlooking the mountains is amazing. The property is beautifully done up and very clean. They have a in-house chef and the food is very delicious. There are 5 staff running the property , keeping it clean and tidy. They are very attentive to the needs and request. Absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stunning place to stay I. N
