Exploring Munduk Pineapple house with waterfall view left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Munduk Pineapple house with waterfall view was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Banjar plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Munduk Pineapple house with waterfall view painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Die Hosts sind sehr freundlich und bemüht! Leider war ich glaub ich zur falschen Zeit dort. In der Regenzeit ist es hier sehr kalt. Die Unterkunft ist nicht wirklich darauf ausgerichtet, das Zimmer war schlecht abgedichtet und dadurch kalt und feucht. Ich würde empfehlen in der Trockenzeit dort zu verweilen.

La vue sur la forêt depuis la terrasse du restaurant est incroyable ! Excellent restaurant avec des plats variés et sains, et super petit déjeuner ! À recommander ! Endroit calme et paisible, voiture nécessaire.

Le personnel est adorable et disponible. La cabane est véritablement dans la jungle alors ne soyez pas surpris si vous faites de la colocation avec certaines espèces d’insectes. Les draps étaient humides de par la présence de la cascade à proximité du logement. Mais le personnel a fait de son mieux pour régler ce problème. Munduk est un coin paisible si vous chercher à vous reposer.

Nous ne sommes malheureusement pas restés dans ce logement pour des raisons personnels mais nous avons été un peu déçu du logement, nous n’avons pas réellement trouver de ressemblance avec les photos proposés sur airbnb et le temps n’était pas en sa faveur. Beautiful view from the restaurant which also had great food!

TL;DR The service is fantastic, but the actual rooms and location was rustic. Service was over the top in the nicest and most helpful ways possible. Attentive, proactive, friendly, English-speaking. The breakfast was also really good. We understood we were going to an eco-lodge, but it was more rustic than we anticipated. Everything is the room was damp (you are literally living in a cloud) including linen and towels. We visited in the rainy season and this could be different in the dry season. There is not a dehumidifier or A/C to dry things out. We frequently found bugs in the room (earthworms in shower, slugs on garbage cans, etc). There was a mosquito net over the bed but no screens on the windows. There were 97 stairs from the restaurant to the room. It's a beautiful walk but in the rain or if not feeling well it's a bit of a hike. The bed was fairly lumpy and my partner and I had trouble sleeping on it. It was also damp. The lunch and dinner was hit or miss.

Es war einfach nur unglaublich! Das ganze Areal ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsraum in Mitten der Natur. Außerdem gibt es einen Zugang zum Bach, an dem man wunderbar verweilen kann. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und darauf bedacht, dass es allen Gästen gut geht. Das Essen im Restaurant ist köstlich und absolut empfehlenswert. Wir haben uns rundum gut aufgehoben gefühlt und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

What an unreal place! Made helped us have a delightful stay before we even checked in by helping us book a driver with a custom tour through North Bali. The place itself is a dream. We regret not staying longer but highly recommend this spot to anyone wanting to stay in and around Munduk!

De meest unieke lokatie die je gaat krijgen op Bali. De staff was super vriendelijk en je kunt er echt heerlijk eten! Echt een aanrader.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Gumi Ayu. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature with stunning mountain and valley views. The room was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. The staff were extremely warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. It was the perfect base for exploring Munduk, including nearby waterfalls and viewpoints. We highly recommend Gumi Ayu to anyone looking for a quiet and authentic stay in North Bali.

Für uns war alles perfekt! Wir wurden total herzlich empfangen und auch über unseren Aufenthalt hinweg waren alle einfach super lieb und aufmerksam. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits (das war uns bewusst), man hat Ruhe und einen unfassbar tollen Ausblick. Das Baumhaus sah aus wie auf den Bildern. Alles war sauber und auf Wunsch wurde geputzt und die Handtücher gewechselt (aufgrund der Luftfeuchtigkeit sind diese nicht richtig getrocknet). Einem sollte bewusst sein, dass es sich um ein Baumhaus im grünen Hochland handelt und es durchaus zu Besuch von Käfern oder Schnecken kommen kann. Von de Unterkunft aus kann man eine Wanderung zu mehreren Wasserfällen starten. Unbedingt festes Schuhwerk anziehen! Das Essen im Restaurant war unfassbar lecker. Beim Frühstück wurde auf Extrawünsche gerne eingegangen und immer auch nach Kaffeenachschub gefragt. Ich habe eine Balinesische Gesichtsbehandlung gebucht, die ebenfalls absolut zu empfehlen ist! Ein gelungener Aufenthalt!

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay. From the stunning surroundings to the kind and welcoming staff, I cannot recommend this place enough. The Pineapple House was comfortable, peaceful and had incredible views of the surrounding nature and waterfalls. All staff were so lovely and made an effort to make our stay extra comfortable. The included breakfast was very nice and we also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was outstanding. The location was brilliant to explore the local area, we hired a car and there was great parking both at the reception car park and also at the local areas to visit such as the waterfalls and temples. The overall area was our favourite place we visited during our time in Bali. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable and wonderful stay at the Pineapple House!

Surrounded by jungle and a waterfall. Stunning views, wonderful, friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the net bed and bathtub. The food was great and drinks were tasty. It is a great place to seek quiet, peace and seclusion in the mountains.

What an extremely wonderful place! A cabin in the rainforest! The most romantic place. We were in love with it. The place is beautifully designed. The outside bath a highlight. An extraordinary waterfall out the window. Also a lovely restaurant nearby and the kindest most attentive staff. They went out of their way to make our holiday so special. We were very grateful.

We zouden 3 nachten verblijven maar moesten helaas na 1 nacht vertrekken ivm privé omstandigheden. We hadden graag gebleven. We hebben hier het lekkerste gegeten van onze hele reis. En zo gastvrij! De locatie is privé en rustig. Made is erg gastvrij en benaderbaar en staat klaar voor al je vragen en wensen. Kortom fantastisch.

Well what a stunning place! Yes you can see the waterfall from the room. I was sold on the pictures of the outside bath - water was lovely and hot - but it is a composite bath so it doesn't hold heat and the bottom was cold. But worth a wash! The cabin is lovely teak, the bed large and cosy, and the sound of the waterfall is divine. There is everything you need there and more. Had a wonderful deep tissue massage, and the restaurant has a magnificent view and a wonderful menu. The wine list was great and we enjoyed a lovely red. The staff were all wonderful, especially the lovely lady in the dinner service - she was amazing! All in all we were very happy wth our stay there - and yes it was rainy season and there was some rain, but we didn't have damp sheets and having the cloud in the restaurant was a highlight not a hinderence! Fabulous! Definitely worth a stay if it's on your wishlist :)

The hotel is quite peaceful and the location is right next to a waterfall. You could see waterfall from your room and go for a bath there too. The sound of the waterfall through night is quite soothing. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. And the meals in the restaurant quite delicious and fulfilling.

If you want to be in nature and be in a place that is in harmony with it I recommend this place. The entire staff is so so so so kind ; just loving people who gives the best energies.

I can't recommend Gumi Ayu enough - the hospitality, consistent kindness from the hosts and staff, delicious breakfasts, massages, and the location, in the heart of the jungle with the sound and energy of the waterfall close by. One of the best places in bali I’ve ever stayed, authentic bali, beautiful and calm!

An absolute must-stay while in Bali. The property is incredibly clean and perfectly located. It’s tucked away in nature, yet still close to all the amazing adventures Munduk has to offer. Made and his team went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I were well taken care of, checking in with us throughout our stay and helping coordinate tours. Their hospitality truly makes a difference. This was my second time staying at Gumi Ayu, and I’m already planning my next trip back—not just because of the beautiful location, but because the staff make it feel like a home away from home.

Rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Bedienungen bei Frühstück oder Abendessen. Das Frühstück war super! Wer kein Problem mit Feuchtigkeit (Dschungel halt) oder Insekten hat, kann hier definitiv eine schöne entspannte Zeit genießen.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l’appartement où nous y avons séjourné pendant les moussons et avons donc expérimenté la pluie et l’humidité, mais cela fait partie de l’expérience Bali à cette saison. Le restaurant et sa vue sont extra, et l’accès à la rivière est très sympa. Nos hôtes sont été très agréables et ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible.

We the best time at Gumi Ayu. The outdoor bath was so special - really lovely being able to hear the waterfall from the bath (plus everywhere else!). We found the room and bed to be really comfortable. There is a netting hammock off the deck which we were sad to not get the chance to use but imagine that would be awesome too. There are steps however there was a very strong guy who helped us take our luggage to the room. The view from the restaurant was beautiful and we really enjoyed our breakfasts there, as well as having dinner on one night. The loveliest thing was the service - sorry, I didn’t get the name of the person who greeted us and we probably had the most interaction with,but she was always so friendly and had the best smile! Lili was also awesome & so helpful. I had the best massage whilst there. We enjoyed the walking around the waterfalls. We did this alone,but there is an option to do this with a guide. Suksma! We hope to be able to return and spend longer next time!

The house was beautiful! The location is in the middle of nature and close to the waterfall. Everyone is so helpful. The breakfast is the best I’ve had in Bali and the waterfall hike is worth doing! Definitely would recommend this place!

This was honestly one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Such breathtaking views in a beautiful area with so much to do. Excellent food and the best service from staff especially Kendran and Lilik. The cabin is immersed in nature, peaceful and clean. The location is perfect to reach all the main attractions of Munduk, some even at walking distance. The staff is extremely kind, friendly and helpful - definitely makes you feel at home. And the restaurant is great with an amazing view on the forest

Gumi Ayu Eco Stay is tucked right into the jungle, and everything about it feels intentional and calming. The wooden cabin is cozy and open, with big windows that let the forest in. At night, it lights up beautifully — kind of magical, honestly. ALSO did i mentioned you can watch the waterfall from the deck and its the sound that will knock you out at night. The outdoor bath is a dream. Showering under the stars or soaking while surrounded by trees was something I won’t forget. There’s also a hammock net outside where I’d just lay and listen to the waterfall. Wrote music here, had some deep moments with myself — it’s that kind of place. If you’re looking for quiet, nature, and a reset, this is the spot. It’s simple but special. I already want to come back.

My stay at this eco lodge in Munduk was nothing short of magical! Nestled deep in the lush jungle, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sounds of nature, surrounded by misty mountains and vibrant greenery, felt like a dream. The lodge’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness added an extra layer of charm to the experience. The hospitality was exceptional – the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From the warm greetings upon arrival to the thoughtful recommendations for local hikes and waterfalls, every detail was taken care of. The meals were delicious, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and we loved dining while overlooking the jungle canopy. The room was cozy, clean, and beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The open-air bath was a highlight, offering a unique way to connect with nature. Make sure to go down and see the waterfall and natural pool. Such a unique experience. Highly recommend!

It always shows when someone puts a lot of love into their business. The bungalow was really cute and gives 'forest bathing' a new meaning. You can fall asleep to the sounds of a waterful and nature like nowhere else. The bungalow was spatious and the little details, like the kimonos and the plants made it really homely and well-looked after. There's even a dehumidifier in the room, which is a nice touch, given you're often in the clouds because of the altitude. Made and his team were very responsive and super friendly. I wish we could have stayed a little longer, but we'll definitely be back!

Outstanding service! I got sick (from another place) while staying here and the staff was so incredibly sweet and helpful in every way. They brought me medicine, teas, hot water bottles and pempered me better than Mama could have. The room is absolutely gorgeous and nestled in the middle of the jungle. Internet in the room was perfect for streaming and even working a bit. The kitchenette and a hot bath was very appreciated too. For the staff alone (shout-out to Kendran ♥️) I would give 100 stars. This place is such a gem!!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans le joli bungalow Pineapple avec la vue sur les cascades à proximité et une superbe forêt autour de nous. Seul bémol c’était le temps humide et pluvieux ce qui est de saison au mois de janvier. C’est mieux de visiter cette région en période sèche. En revanche, un très bon restaurant et le personnel d’une extrême gentillesse et serviabilité.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt gehabt. Das Personal war als wir eingefahren sind sofort Start bereit und hat uns tatkräftig mit Gepäck und Scootern geholfen. Wir hatten Lunch in der Unterkunft was sehr zu empfehlen war und es gab eine große Auswahl auf der Karte. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber und perfekt für einen langen Aufenthalt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Aussicht ist klasse! Das Frühstück war lecker und es gab für jeden etwas. Insbesondere der Smoothie hat uns gut geschmeckt! Es war etwas kalt, jedoch hat das Personal Wärmflaschen verteilt! Das fande ich super! Auch der Check-out war sehr zuvorkommend! Alles gut erklärt und reibungslos. Es hatte stark geregnet und selbst unsere Scooter wurden abgetrocknet und Start klar für unsere Abreise gemacht! Vielen Dank und hoffentlich bis bald 👋

Endroit exceptionnel, tant le logement que la vue du restaurant ainsi que l'accueil de chacune des personnes travaillant sur ce lieu. Nous nous sommes également régalés au restaurant. C'est un endroit parfait pour vivre une expérience magique dans la nature.

Wow, what an incredible find. We stayed here for four nights on our trip around Bali. Gumi Ayu is a must for travellers seeking an authentic Balinese forest experience. The natural setting, the exceptional service and the peaceful ambience is beyond words. Enjoy, appreciate and get to know othe wonderful staff. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. L’emplacement était incroyable ainsi que la location. Les hôtes ont été très gentils et aimable avec nous. Lors de mon voyage, j’ai été malade et ils ont fait tout leur possible pour m’aider. Le lieu était très propre, il y avait tout ce dont l’on avait besoin ! Nous recommandons fortement ce logement pour un endroit de relaxation et pour profiter de sa superbe vue !

Super schöne Unterkunft komplett aus Holz mit toller Hängematte und Blick in den Dschungel und auf den Wasserfall. Das Personal (insbesondere Kendran und ihre Kolleginnen) war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben viele Tipps für die Umgebung erhalten. Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Wir habe den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und wunderschön. Sie waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man hat sich gleich wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Aussicht ein Traum. Wenn wir wieder nach Bali reisen werden wir aufjedenfall wieder kommen.

It was fantastic - we had such a good time!! The welcome was sooo warm, when it got a little cold in the evening everybody got a hot water bottle to put on the lab. The food - for dinner and breakfast - was delicious!! And we did a great hike to different waterfalls directly from the house - one of the best in Bali and we did not meet many people or other tourists on the tracks. Totally recommendable - we would love to come back again!

Unsere Unterkunft war sehr schön, vor allem das Netz war sehr bequem.

Unser Aufenthalt war super, die Unterkunft liegt wirklich mitten im Dschungel, man kann vom Zimmer aus sogar einen Wasserfall hören. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend und das Essen im Restaurant (und Frühstück) sehr sehr lecker. Der Blick vom Restaurant ist außerdem genial. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié séjourner dans cette cabane dans la jungle. 100 marches pour atteindre notre logement mais rien d'insurmontable ;) Il y avait de l'humidité dans les draps et les serviettes mais cela vient de l'environnement, rien de grave. Le service était impeccable et la vue du restaurant était magnifique. La chute d'eau de Munduk est accessible à pied à 2 minutes.

Vraiment Gumi Ayu est un endroit incroyable, les logements sont incroyable au cœur de la jungle avec le bruit de la cascade juste à côté. C'est un endroit très relaxant. Les personnes qui gèrent l'établissement sont tellement gentil, ils prennent le temps d'échanger et sont très réactif. Le restaurant est excellent, tous les plats sont délicieux. Leur service de massage que l'on peut réserver directement chez eux est vraiment incroyable, l'un des meilleurs massage pendant notre séjour à Bali. La localisation est idéale pour profiter de la nature et des cascades qui sont vraiment pas loin. Je recommande cet endroit à tous ceux qui aimerai découvrir la richesse de ce que la régions de Munduk a à proposer.

My husband and I found ourselves in munduk on a whim while driving around Bali and were fortunate enough to book this accommodation last minute. We had only planned to stay one night but extended our stay before we had even left the restaurant and seen the cabin. The staff were genuine, warm, and extremely helpful, the food was incredible, and the cabin itself was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places we have stayed in. Our stay here was an absolute highlight of our trip. Huge thanks to all the staff from Zac and myself for such a wonderful time 🙏

STAY HERE!!! give yourself at least 2 nights here. One day to explore the 5 waterfalls and one to go to the experience at nearby Aling aling waterfall. HOSPITALITY AT ITS BEST. everyone here went above and beyond to make us comfortable. From immediately greeting us and giving us a welcome drink, to being there for every need or question we had. The food was delicious and beautifully served. The views from your room and restaurant are amazing. JUST BOOK IT!

Wow- what a stay! Probably one of our favorite places we stayed in Bali. Surrounded by green, peace & quiet. Just a beautiful place to relax & read your book and appreciate the view and sound of a waterfall. The place has plenty of space with a cute little kitchen. You do need to be somewhat fit to go up & down some steep stairs- but it's so worth it for the tranquility of the place. The food at the restaurant is so good & fresh (better than the one down the street if you ask me!). Breakfasts were delicious! We also had the BEST MASSAGE OF OUR LIVES there from Made's wife. O my gosh. The staff is so lovely & kind. It's tucked away & hidden, & there are a few waterfalls that are walkable - although we didn't go to those because we just loved our room & it's view so much. It's such a beautiful area of Bali that feels quiet & low key. And you can do so many fun little day excursions if you have the time. The place will help you arrange if you want! Book it. It's great.

What a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature! My husband and I enjoyed our time at the Pineapple House, conversation with Made, and delicious, nutritious meals. Es war ein wundervoller Aufenthalt bei euch. Sehr idyllisch und ruhig gelegen und den Abend auf der Terrasse bei den Klängen der Natur zu verbringen war ein Traum. Der Service und die Erreichbarkeit über direkte Nachricht per direkt Message klappt super und wenn was war kam direkt jemand zum Haus. Das Internet ist auf der ganzen Anlage sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist sehr ausgiebig und vielfältig gewesen und die Bedienung ist immer sehr aufmerksam gewesen. Wirklich diese Unterkunft ist ihren Preis voll und ganz wert. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

I loved every second at the Gumi Ayu. Everybody who worked there made us feel like home from the second we arrived. Our house looked absolutely amazing, we could see the waterfall right from the terrace. The outside bathtub was a true highlight, you feel like you’re taking a bath in the middle of the jungle. We had a Balinese massage in the spa which was very relaxing. The restaurant is absolutely amazing, we had the best food there during our time in Bali. Definitely go there!! Also there is a 3.5 hour hike you can do right next to the hotel to see five waterfalls. This is where you truly get to see Bali and its beautiful nature. Thanks again so much to Made and his amazing team

I loved my first 2 nights in Bali at Made's! The people there are the friendliest in the entire universe, and the place is exactly as described. I enjoyed the walk up and down the steps to get to my house as it got my heart pumping after that long flight. Sitting outside on the porch is so peaceful, I spent hours out there after hiking the waterfalls. Just a heads up, the birds and cicadas will probably wake you up at 6:00, but I didn't mind bc it's the reason I came to this location--to be immersed in the nature :) I also booked a wonderful 90 minute massage for very cheap! The food is delicious, the restaurant at the top of the stairs is a nice spot to chill with a beautiful view--I just loved this place. Thank you!!!

Wow, the reviews were spot on. This is a beautiful piece of serenity in the forest 🍃🪷 Our room had the sounds of the waterfall, birds and all that nature could offer. Made and his staff were very attentive to our needs. It was great having the restaurant on site as you had all of your needs met. We explored the waterfall, which was 30 meters up the road. The cabins are private and are blended well into the surroundings. The outdoor bath that we had was amazing, and the deck and bedroom was so solid and inviting. We enjoyed the spa that they offered with a 2.5hr spa treatment. They also offered a flower arrangement for my partner’s birthday 💝 We will definitely be returning. The price is a little more than others, however is well worth the stay. So unique and beautiful. Thank you Made for a beautiful stay 💕💕💕💕💕

Perfect spot hidden on a jungle hill side. Our room was comfortable with a nice view of a nearby waterfall and the staff are all exceptional, ensuring that every need is meet and the food is perfection.

Beautiful, peaceful accommodations with friendly and attentive staff on hand for service and local recommendations. The rustic room was spacious and comfortable, with jungle sounds and waterfall noise to sleep and wake to. They kindly provided some insect repellent. We were also pleasantly surprised to have a refrigerator/kitchenette to chill drinks and make morning tea or coffee. While there are many stairs down to the tree house and back up to the restaurant, they are well maintained and not slippery. Gumi Ayu provided a booklet with tour recommendations and numbers of local drivers. The restaurant on site cooks excellent food and provides gorgeous views. We took advantage of the spa offerings and could not have been more impressed by the Balinese massage. A short walk from the hotel brings you to the Golden Valley waterfall trail, which after trekking will require a ride back from Munduk Village. The Munduk area and stay at Gumi Ayu was a highlight of our trip to Bali.

My wife and I stayed here two nights for our honeymoon. The Pineapple Tree Hut was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves great dishes with even greater views. The temperatures in the mountain are very nice compared to the warm beach areas. Also there are a lot of waterfalls close by and there are a ton of activities. We wanted to do a water blessing for our marriage and they were a big help in organising this. A perfect getaway from the busy areas in Bali.

Im Pineapple House fühlt man sich wie mitten im Dschungel, mit Natur- und Tiergeräuschen und Grün rundum!

The place was indeed beautiful! in the middle of the nature while surrounded by huge trees and even close to a water fall. you can feel the nature just in front of you. The villa is amazing with a great balcony/ view and even had a external bathtub which using while surrounded by trees and the sounds of insects make the experience remarkable! Made and his team did a great job and we always felt welcomed. The food available delicious!

We had the best stay so far in Bali, the wood house was even better than the pictures , the space was big , clean and with all we need ! We wanted to be calm and connect with nature and it was a success ! From the moment we step the reception we felt it was an special place with an unique Soul , Gede and all the staff was always super smiley and helpful , they recommended us some waterfalls in the area, we as well took the spa option for 2h35 min that includes massage , body scrub and floral bath very worth it and good with price , for last Gede guide into an spiritual connection with a Guru on the area , that was best for us since we felt the strong energy that their religion shares in universal ways ! We ate every day at the restaurant since they had nice chef an amazing menu ! When we left they even took us to next accommodation we took near by since they were all book when we ask to stay a couple days more :) ! Happy to say we felt like family there ! Thanks so much :)

Our stay in the pineapple house was so peaceful and beautiful. We were able to explore the jungle a bit on our own and made it down the path to the waterfalls, which were super nice. The property was gorgeous, spacious and full of lively jungle sounds. The food was delicious and the included breakfast was great and very, very generous portions. All the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and helpful. We had a very nice time here and would definitely recommend! The location was far from the city center, so you would just need a driver, but the views were great and staying in the mountains was fantastic! It was a much cooler temperature, so it was a nice break from the heat.

This was our favourite location in Bali hands down. Beautiful and sooo clean. And it’s up in the mountains so it’s sooo cool at night for an easy sleep. The restaurant is fantastic with incredible views. Definitely book here! Friendly staff. Worth your buck

I highly recommend Made and his services around place. We stayed only one night and that was huge mistake, because place and location requires much more time and thats deffinitely worth it. In this place you are going to meet so many positive people with heart on the right place, everyone was so helpfull and Made also gave us suggestion about one day trip with guide (waterfalls and rice fields). And it was absolutely perfect, also Made told us about other activities, but unfortunately we didnt have time. Place at all looks much more better than on photos, so dont worry and go for it. There was no problems at all and we could stay in beautiful place surrounded by good people who really cares about you and your stay. We are coming deffinitely again one day.

Tout était parfait ! Le personnel est adorable et à l'écoute, vous pouvez faire appel à eux pour vos excursions. Le logement est plus grand en vrai que sur les photos, magnifique vue sur la cascade. Un large choix de massage à prix correct, nous avons opté pour le massage du visage fait avec des produits maison et naturel, au top ! De plus la nourriture est très bonne, je ne peux que recommander ce logement !

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Made, the staff and the accommodations. The staff and host make you feel like you’re a part of their family and do everything they can to make your time with them memorable. They are very attentive to every need and if they don’t have something you need or want they will find it for you. The pineapple villa was one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed. It is nestled into the hillside perfectly and our villa had a perfect view off the deck of Munduk waterfall. We found ourself relaxing and listening to the sound of the falls everyday. The restaurant is delicious and we were never disappointed with anything we ordered! I would HIGHLY recommend this stay to anyone! My wife and I were very sad to leave not just the place but Made and the staff as well. If your thinking twice about this stay, don’t.. just book it.

Where do I begin? This location was absolutely MAGICAL and exceeded ALL expectations. From the views, to the staff, to the cleanliness of our beautiful cabin, the entire place was immaculate. Made and his family are beautiful people and made us feel so at home. They provided us with a wonderful driver/tour guide Eka, who was fantastic in every way and even stopped to show us the most beautiful rice fields on the way. Also, in the restaurant which has breath taking views of the mountains and jungle, Kadek was an absolute pleasure to talk with. The service was superb. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be coming back to this gem. There is no doubt that we will be spending more time here during our next trip to Bali!

dit was echt een cadeautje. Het warme ontvangst, het lekkere eten, de vriendelijkheid van alle medewerker en dan in zo'n verblijf mogen overnachten. Het was nog mooier en groter dan de foto's. Het bad buiten en het uitzicht op de waterval. we zouden hier nog veel langer willen blijven, maar helaas was het al volgeboekt.. en dat begrijpen wij, we zouden het namelijk iedereen aanraden.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay here. The pineapple house looks just like in the pictures, beautiful view into the forest and a glimpse of the nearby waterfall. The staff is so friendly, you feel very welcomed. The restaurant has a beautiful sunset view. We had dinner there both nights and can recommend it wholeheartedly. We also loved the two dogs that were there, Molly and Ayu :)

We had the most wonderful stay in the pineapple house in Munduk. Everyone here was very friendly and always ready to help. It was more than perfect and the best experience we had in Bali so far. We could recommend 100% and are very thankful for such a nice experience!

We can't express how wonderful our stay at Gumi Ayu was. Made and his team were amazing - so helpful, kind, and hospitable throughout our visit. The area is beautiful - we loved visiting the nearby waterfalls, Lake Tamblingan, and Mount Sanghyang. The cabin we stayed in is gorgeous, with beautiful views from the balcony and hammock platform. The food in the restaurant was great, and my partner and I enjoyed an excellent massage while we were there - highly recommended! Es war wirklich ein traumhafter Aufenthalt, die Unterkunft war einfach wunderschön und die Aussicht unbezahlbar. Es sind viele Wasserfälle in der Nähe und man kann einiges erkunden. Ich würde empfehlen einen Roller zu haben, da man nicht alles fußgängig erreichen kann. Made und seine Freunde/Familie haben den Aufenthalt zusätzlich durch ihre freundliche Art zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht.

Krásne miesto v srdci prírody. Veľmi milo nás prekvapila obsluha a služby, ktoré boli na nadštandardnej úrovni. Večerný západ slnka v reštaurácii mal neskutočnú atmosféru. Kuchyňa bola výborná a obsluha lepšia ako v päťhviezdičkovom hoteli, ktorý sme následne navštívili. Za nás odporúčame. ☺️

Wat een top accommodatie! Van begin tot eind word alles voor je geregeld en ze zijn uiterst vriendelijk. Gemoedelijke sfeer, heel lekker eten in het restaurantje waar je uitkijkt over de natuur. Ook in de accommodatie ziet alles er goed uit. Je moet een stukje naar beneden lopen over een mooi goed aangelegd pad. Enorm leuke hutjes met vanuit sommige uitkijk op een waterval. Voor omgeving Munduk is dit DE plek waar je wilt overnachten!

me and my partner had a fantastic stay here. everyone was so friendly and helpful. they could not have done any more for us, it was the best stay. we had a Balinese massage each which left us floating in heaven, and we done the cooking class too. it was so great to cook amazing vegetarian meals with such fresh ingredients sourced local to Munduk. we would love to come back here again.

This beautiful place goes down as the best place I have ever stayed! The setting could not have been more beautiful and the cottage itself was magical (with the comfiest bed we had ever slept in!) The only problem was we wished we could have stayed for longer. Made and his team made sure nothing was overlooked and also prepared the most amazing meals! Could not recommend this place enough

Beautiful and cute accommodation in the middle of the rain forest. I loved the little cottage in the woods, it's very big and beautifully decorated, with a very comfy bed, a cute little balcony and a little kitchen/dining area. There is a waterfall nearby that you can literally see and hear from the room and you can hike there too. The hosts and staff on-site were incredible - friendly, helpful, organized. Special mention to my housekeeper Eka, which is adorable and very professional. it made me feel at home all the time. The restaurant is also really cool. Very nice breakfast included. Special mentioned to the massage service: it was the best balines massage I received. Make sure you have a scooter or driver available, it's kind of remote and there is not a lot to do by foot . Highly recommended if you plan to go to Munduk and glad I chose this place.

Amazing oasis away from the crowds and noise. Tucked away in the mountains with amazing views of waterfalls and nature. The view and beautiful accommodations were only half of the beauty, as the staff made this stay unforgettable. The architecture was gorgeous, the staff welcoming and kind, and the food was wonderful. There are hikes close by for waterfalls and we had a free day where we just enjoyed being in the company’s of the wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings. We can’t recommend highly enough! This will be impossible to find in a year once folks hear about it!

Amazing place! Beautiful and cute accommodation in the middle of the rain forest. There is a waterfall nearby that you can literally see and hear from the room. You can hike there too, make sure to follow the path from the AirBnb and not the one further up…. The hosts and staff on-site were incredible - friendly, helpful, organized. We loved our little cottage in the woods, it’s very big with a cute little balcony/patio and a little kitchen/dining area. The restaurant is also really cool. They were so very welcoming to us, even though we were kind of trouble traveling with a one-year-old :) Make sure you have a scooter or driver available, it’s kind of remote and there is not a lot to do by foot except for the two very close waterfalls and a very cool restaurant down the road (200m). Other than the “getting around part””, very cool place to stay. Definitely recommended and glad, we chose this place.

OMG - this was an awesome experience. Our hut was placed in the most beautiful rainforest - we could see and hear the waterfall in the distance. The food in the restaurant was amazing and I think we can say that we had the most superb and friendly assistance and service ever. Down to earth and very professional Made was extremely helpful and service orientated.

Amazing place! So beautiful and peaceful surroundings in a the stunning nature. Also the area has a very local and untouristy vibe. The staff are extremely welcoming and kind and the food is great. We ate all our meals at this place and enjoyed all food and drinks. Highly recommendable!

Beautiful place with picturesque views. The house was cozy - balcony with a view on the waterfall and the forest. Watching the rain sitting on the balcony was an amazing experience. The stuff is quite friendly. Worth to notice a restaurant, all ordered dishes were delicious.

This place is a little jewel box in the middle of nature. The staff and restaurant are wonderful, I highly recommend touring the area with the managers. I suggest to come here in the dry season so you can really take advantage of the location.(we’ve got 3days of full rain) A place where I would definitely try to come back.

best place ever, even better place and staff. my massage was ridiculase and perfect! I can't wait to go back! only difficulty was that the 2 addresses listed on the airbnb listing are wrong. The correct address should read gumi ayu which is the name of the hotel/location. although that was stressful pre arrival it did not affect how much i loved the place and whole experience!

Unser Aufenthalt war super. Die Unterkunft ist ein wenig abgelegen und man kann deshalb sehr gut entspannen. In der Nähe der Unterkunft ist ein toller Wanderweg im Golden Valley, über den man kostenlose Wasserfälle bestaunen kann. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend, herzlich und fürsorglich. Der Zimmerservice war überragend gut. Wir haben sehr gut gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen. Absolute Weiterempfehlung
