Exploring Oceanview Tranquility @ Balian surf break left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Oceanview Tranquility @ Balian surf break was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Selemadeg Barat plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Oceanview Tranquility @ Balian surf break painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

It’s very far out of the way, and was invested with bugs and ants after the staff had been done using the kitchen. Deborah wouldn’t accept the refund until she had to when I uploaded the video through air BnB.

Dès le début nous avons remarqué un énorme mur sur le côté des plantes ce qui n'était pas en photos. Du coup s'est vachement sombre malgré le soleil. La vue de l'océan n'est pas la même sur les photos. Le soir pas assez de lumière ni dehors ni dans la chambre, très vieille, pas de sécurité par exemple pas de porte avant d'accéder à la chambre, la serrure n'est pas bien visser donc ne ferme pas au bout il y a environ 1,5 cm d'ouvert. Les portes de la chambre ne sont bien fixées pas du tout d'isolation dans la chambre entière il y a des trous de partout donc deux grosses souris dans notre chambre qui n'était pas discrète et nous ont laisser des excréments dans le dressing où ils y avaient nos affaires, c'était horrible! La nuit impossible de dormir car pas d'isolation la mer est déchaîner la nuit et du vent. La poussière, le lit inconfortable, petit et usé. Jusqu'à présent j'ai eu des bons Airbnb juste avant. Sinon l'hôte a été réactif et nous a remboursé une partie.

Gut zum entspannen und abzuschalten

En las fotos cuando lo cogimos se veía un sitio muy bonito, efectivamente es bonito pero no se especifican las incomodidades que tiene para llegar y la zona en la que se encuentra que apenas hay de nada. Necesitas tener vehículo propio para poder moverte y aún así el acceso es muy jodido. Cuando vimos como era la zona, de 5 noches que teníamos alquilada, dos nos fuimos a otra casa (40% de las noches) . Cuando volvimos de esos dos días, en los que nos quedamos en otro alojamiento, nos encontramos el baño lleno de insectos y hormigas hasta arriba, indicándoselo a Deborah y lo único que nos dijo es q sería culpa nuestra por dejar la luz encendida, cuando no fue así. No nos dio ninguna solución al respecto. Como positivo indicar que las dos mujeres que vienen a hacer el desayuno todos los días son adorables y son las que estuvieron pendientes de nosotros el día del incidente de los insectos. Si es tu primera vez en Bali, no te recomiendo quédarte aquí.

During our 3 night stay, we found some +ve & -ve aspects of the villa. On the bright side, the villa offers ample space, privacy, & tranquility. The sizeable pool was perfect for swimming laps & provided a refreshing break from the heat. However, there were some minor downsides that we encountered during our stay. Firstly, the toilet being located outside the villa was a bit of an inconvenience, especially during late-night. Additionally, the pathways leading to the villa were quite dark, which made driving a little challenging for us at night. We noticed a slight gap in the sliding door, which resulted in some crawlies (there are a lot of millipedes in the area & there's nothing that can be done about it) entering the villa. U have to walk for approximately 5 - 7 mins to reach the beach since there is no direct access from the villa. All in all, the villa had its share of pros and cons, but we still had a lovely stay & enjoyed the overall experience

Okay place but really far away from everything. the beach nearby was under constant construction during our stay so for a swim we had to walk for a few kilometers. The road to the place was like a mud bath.

Great views but the amenities could use some improvements and regular pest control as there were rats in the bedroom during my stay- which the staff didn't have an adequate solution for (I was given a sticky trap and told to catch & dispose of the rats myself). The bathroom, pool, and kitchen are good but the bedroom which is also the only indoor space to spend time on the property if it rains, for instance, needs attention. There is no Wi-Fi router, just an extender device that tries to boost the signal from the house next door- these devices aren't strong enough to produce a functional signal. The bedroom could use electrical outlets by the bed, currently, there is only one outlet in the room- so bring a splitter if you need to charge multiple things. The furniture could be upgraded, PVC pipe curtain rods and towel rack, lawn furniture as indoor furniture, the bed has no headboard. It's just not a very comfy place to hang around. Also the owner and manager were not very helpful or friendly. Made me feel like it was a favor by letting me stay and were generally unhelpful when I had issues- I got no where near the kind of customer service others guests have mentioned which was a disappointment because I was looking forward to this trip. I ended up leaving a day early because it was nicer to be somewhere else than to try to deal with Maya and Deborah.

We had some issues during our stay that made it a bit difficult to relax. The biggest issue was the water would stop running in the kitchen & bathroom inc. the shower and the temporary solution was to visit the next door Neighbour’s garden and hit a water pump with a bamboo stick - which fixed the problem for 10-15 minutes. We stayed during a Balinese holiday but the fact there was an instruction video sent via WhatsApp on how to hit the pump suggests it’s a reoccurring problem. Our other feedback would be the furniture is pretty ordinary for $100 per night. Odd pieces of garden furniture inside the bedroom and a hanging space for clothes made from plastic plumbing pipe isn’t what we expected for that budget. The dinner at the villa was also pretty expensive by Balinese standards. The woman who looked after the property in the hosts absence was lovely and had the best of intentions, but i think the plumbing needs to be permanently fixed and the decor needs improving to warrant the price and improve the experience for guests.

Overall it was a pleasant stay, but from my point of view nom more than 2/3 nights. Consider that you will have the constant presence of 3 dogs around the house, not that it bothered us but it is right that the guests know it. Another point is the value for money, I expected something more, considering the alternatives in Bali.

Lovely peaceful and quiet part of Bali. Fab swimming pool and good facilities. Nyoman is fantastic and thank you Deborah for introducing us. Armchairs/sofa preferable for inside furniture rather than outdoor furniture used. Listing said breakfast included but upon arrival there is a charge of 80k pp per day.

Its a beautiful place to stay if you are looking to relax. The private pool is amazing. Clean environment. Beautiful surrounding. Kind staff and neighbours around. Staff cooked us breakfast everyday on time. The massage provided was excellent. Driver Nyoman was friendly and on time to provide us transport. Please note you could encounter uninvted friends from the nature (part of nature and its their habitat) but they were absoultely harmless. We rented scooter to experience the local culture . This place is highly recommended. Regards

Malheureusement nous avons du rentrer plus tôt pour une urgence en France.. Mais cet endroit était un vrai coin de paradis, encore plus joli que les photos, c’est l’emplacement idéal pour une semaine de repos, l’océan est accessible à pied, cela fait une belle balade dans la nature aux côtés des animaux, nous avons vraiment aimé, malgré notre court séjour..

Schöne und ruhige Unterkunft an einem schönen Strand. Zum Erholen total gut geeignet. Wir konnten vorher nicht gut erkennen, dass es sehr wenig in der Umgebung gibt an Restaurants oder Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Gastgeber waren total nett und super hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit!

Sehr rustikale und abgelegene Villa, die sauber und das Personal überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und stets ansprechbar ist. Tolles und immer frisch zubereitetes Frühstück und jeden Tag wird durch geputzt. Zu bedenken, dass keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und kein Geldautomat in unmittelbarer Nähe ist. Der Strand ist fußläufig gut in 10 Minuten erreichbar, allerdings muss man hierzu einen kleinen Berg hinunter gehen. Auch die Restaurants auf der gegenüberliegenden Flussseite sind bei einem Strandspaziergang in 25 Minuten bei Ebbe erreichbar. Der Lieferservice funktioniert sehr gut und das Essen war lecker. Für Ruhe und Relaxen empfehle ich die Villa für 2-3 Tage.

Il posto è stato carino, bella vista sull’oceano, rilassante nella natura. Avendo soggiornato in diversi altri AirBnb a Bali però penso che per il prezzo ci dovrebbe essere più cura nei dettagli della casa, un po’ più di manutenzione.

A beautiful remote location, but lots of driving necessary to get there, or anywhere. We took day trips to snorkel (was great) and to Ubud but spent many hours driving to and fro. Very friendly, helpful staff. Tiger the local dog became ours during the stay and slept outside our villa, keeping guard every night (not that it is necessary) Our timing weather-wise could have been better there had been huge rains and floods which littered the beach with debris (mostly natural) and made the water a little murky. Big waves and roaring sound of the all day. The pool is awesome with breathtaking views. Great quiet romantic getaway, especially if you want to settle in and unwind.

Nice and simple stay if you want quiet time while in the area, not much food selection however since breakfast is provided and a few small local restaurants are reachable it works well. Maybe it was the time we went but the beach was not the nicest, and the wifi isn’t always reliable

Great view, great staff best sunset dinner and private chef options!

The place is situated in a beautiful remote country side and is perfect for relaxation. The view from the house is picture perfect. Some things to note are that there are two friendly dogs living near the place and try not to place eatables inside the bedroom as there’s a rat who visits at night. The stay was a unique experience for us.

I spent 2 nights and for me it was a wonderful place to relax. The directions through google maps is wrong. I was on my bike in the evening so follow the written directions provided. I never met Deborah in person, she was very helpful and easy to communicate with through WhatsApp.

The villa view is awesome! You can view the sunset from the lawn infront of the villa! I feel very safe because I will be alerted by the roaming dogs if there's anybody passing by. Alot of things can be arranged with Maya and she's friendly!

An amazing location with quick access to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. Also, a very helpful host who cooks you breakfast each day and is quick to provide help in booking scooters/other items.

We loved the Airbnb until it starts a normal rain shower. The described new building has got leaks in the wall and at the windows. The result was a floated sleeping room and kitchen and a lot of unpleasant cleaning work without any tools or devices for soaking up the water. We are not work-shy but at that heavy price, that cannot happen! The day after Maya the housemaid, which is very very friendly and polite (thank you Maya for everything 🙏🏼🙏🏼) helps us with the situation and notes everything to fix these wet problem ASAP. The reaction of the Superhost which is permanently in Australia wasn’t very helpful. It was just „I hope that the sun will shine again“... So that’s why we think the price is to high for the described circumstances.

Exceptional location, with an amazing view of the Indian ocean, host Myah also cooked yummy breakfasts in the mornings, swimming pool was great and the longest one i have personally seen since coming to Bali, there are a few eateries nearby, but not much else, so if you love the sound of waves, and just wish for some r&r away from tourist heavy areas this is for you! Only suggestion would have been good to have some lounging furniture to sit on like bean bags, other then that, a pleasant stay at Balian Beach!

Really enjoyed my stay! I came solo and felt extremely safe. The Airbnb is exactly as described; beautiful, peaceful, great views of the beach and calming night background noises of waves and animals. Communication with Deborah is fantastic and the entire team she works with makes it easy to enjoy your stay. Nyoman is a fantastic driver and Wayan is an amazing cook. A great highlight was having a few restaurants to chose from with their menus already in the airbnb. A simple text chat allows you to get delivery within 15-20 minutes. My only con is lack of lighting at night so it is a bit difficult to walk around and stroll. Nonetheless, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My Partner and I had a wonderful time at Deborah’s place. It was our first time on Bali, and we were specifically looking for a quiet location near the beach and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, in order to experience the ‘true’ Bali. Choosing Deborah’s place proved exactly the right choice for us! We stayed 3 weeks in total and used the house as our home base to discover the island by motorcycle. Deborah and her friends were extremely welcoming and organized everything to our full satisfaction, starting from the communication prior to our arrival, airport transfer, and a motorcycle ready upon our arrival at the house, up to the daily housekeeping (incl. breakfast), handling laundry service and the final transfer back to the airport. My partner and I remain thankful to Deborah and her friends for hosting us and for providing the basis for such a wonderful first experience of Bali away from the overcrowded tourist places in the south of the island! Thank you!! 🙏

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit bei Deborah, Nyoman und Wayan. Wayan hat super leckeres Frühstück gemacht. Nyoman ist so ein toller Fahrer, super offen und hilfsbereit und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt bei ihm im Auto. Die Unterkunft liegt an einem ruhigen Ort im Westen von Bali. Der Pool, die ruhige Umgebung und das Meer vor der Türe hat den Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht. Würden wir weiterempfehlen.

Absolutely stunning and super peaceful. The pics made me fall in love but being there in person was waaay better🥹 Deborah was super responsive and helpful and Wayan and Komang took such great care of me🫶🏾 They were fabulous! They give so many options to make the stay convenient with various delivery options and the massage in the comfort of your own space was phenomenal! Probably my favourite place I’ve ever stayed at. Would recommend it over and over and can’t wait to go back 🩷🩷

Stayed three nights — fantastic place. The ocean view is incredible, especially from the pool at sunset. The bed is very comfortable, slept great. The atmosphere is so peaceful and secluded. Deborah is an attentive host and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend. One small wish - a little coffee table next to the lounge chairs would be a nice addition.

Lumbung Ananda is a beautifully peaceful spot overlooking the ocean and some very friendly cows. Great to relax and unwind. Wayan and her team were fantastic. Responsive, helpful, and kind. Food is available cooked by Wayan or local delivery from nearby restaurants. Recommend stopping at the local shop first for any supplies as it’s not really walking distance.

Séjour absolument magnifique dans ce logement face à l’océan à Bali. Tout était parfait du début à la fin : la vue incroyable, le calme, la propreté, le confort et l’accueil chaleureux. Un véritable petit paradis où nous avons passé des moments inoubliables. Mention spéciale à Nyoman, notre chauffeur, qui nous a organisé une superbe excursion avec beaucoup de gentillesse, de professionnalisme et de bonnes recommandations. Grâce à lui, nous avons découvert des endroits magnifiques et vécu une expérience encore plus mémorable. Nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Que sítio espetacular!!!! Tenho a dizer que de todos os Airbnbs onde já ficamos este foi sem dúvida o nosso preferido! Longe da confusão turística, super sossegado e numa zona LINDA de Bali. O staff super simpático a começar pelo motorista Nyoman e pelas queridas senhoras que todos os dias nos faziam o pequeno almoço e limpavam a casa a Wayan, a Komang e a Lúcia. Fizeram as melhores panquecas do mundo! Esta casa é o sítio ideal para vir descansar e aproveitar a natureza de praia de Bali. Perfeito para dormir aos sons da natureza e do mar. Queremos muito voltar!

We had an amazing stay at Deborah’s place! The villa is peaceful, clean, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Deborah is an incredibly warm and helpful host. She assisted us with everything we needed, including arranging small details that made our trip even more special. Arriving at the Lumbung Ananda late at night, Nyoman, the driver checked us in after the 2. 5 h drive. We instantly felt at home and relaxed even though we were tired after the long journey. Deborah's place leaves hardly anything to desire. It felt just right for us. Not too fancy, but solid, high quality and thoughtful. The place really feels reduced in a good way! Also extremely tidy! The only thing we missed was a some shade during noon on sunny days. The area around the pool and the pool itself is totally exposed to the sun for a couple of hours, so if you're a bit sensitive or already have sunburn, you are forced to reread to the terasse or the bed. Sleeping is something special! For people easily torn out of their sleep, the untamed roaring of the Indian ocean might be a bit much, but we loved it! Wayan and her friend are very attentive, polite and friendly and make a very good breakfast! I can recommend trying out their dinner as well! Pricey but worth every penny! Tanks!

Super séjour au sein du logement de Déborah ! Très reposant, une vue exceptionnelle sur l’océan, nous entendons le bruit des vagues directement depuis notre lit c’est agréable. Un petit havre de paix qui détend :) Nyoman est super sympa, il nous a récupéré à l’aéroport et nous a expliqué un peu l’histoire de l’île ainsi que les choses à voir, et les assistantes qui s’occupe de la chambre et préparer le petit déjeuner très gentille aussi merci beaucoup ! Inconvénient si vous prévoyez des activités tels que Ubud, Nusa Penida, c’est très très loin du logement…

Le logement est incroyable ! Ressemble bien aux photos. Nous avons eu le beau temps c’était génial. Petit déjeuner au top, et le personnel est vraiment sympathique. Je recommande vivement ce logement

We had a really really great stay at Deborah’s place. First of all the house was amazing with great views at the ocean. It was very private and you can hear the sound of the nature. The Staff was very very friendly and helpful, Wayan made the best pancakes on earth! The driver (Nyoman) was also super friendly and helpful! We would totally recommend to stay at this place!

Nous avons passé un séjour coupé du monde chez Deborah !! Si vous recherchez un coin isolé, vous êtes à la bonne adresse : avec la plage et la piscine en toile de fond et un logement parfaitement aménagé pour y passer quelques jours en couple/à deux. Il n’y a rien aux alentours accessibles à pied (possibilité de se faire livrer d’un restaurant) et grab n’est pas disponible mais Deborah a un contact pour faire le taxi. Tout s’est très bien passé ! Merci à tous, et aux dames du petit déjeuner ☺️

Wie haben und von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Deborah war sehr einfach. Wayan und ihre Kollegin waren sehr lieb uns stehts Hilfsbereit. Der Ort ist sehr empfehlenswert!

Such a magical spot looking down onto Balian beach. Hearing the roar of the waves at night was awesome. A quick ride to some amazing Warungs and cafes. Deki’s Warung overlooking the beach has sensational views and food, and was our top spot for a bintang with lunch or dinner. The included breakfast done in villa’s kitchen were amazing and the staff were delightful. Top spot in a top location away from the crowds, just how we like it. Cant recommend highly enough, we love our time there.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön. Tolle Aussicht, wunderschöner Strand mit beeindruckenden Wellen, an dem man teilweise komplett alleine spazierengehen kann. Es war alles sehr sauber und wir konnten die Ruhe des Ortes genießen. Unser Highlight waren aber vor allem die tollen Menschen dort. Wayan und Komang, die uns jeden morgen bekocht haben und uns bei allen Fragen und Anliegen sofort geholfen haben und Nyoman, der uns zu unsere nächsten Unterkunft gebracht hat. Wir hatten tolle Gespräche und er hat uns sehr viel über das Land erzählt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder! :)

it was a great place as we wanted to be away from the maddening crowds. The driver suggested by Deborah, Nyoman and his cousin were great. The two ladies who made us breakfast were efficient and friendly.

Die Unterkunft ist genau das richtige, wenn man Ruhe sucht. Die Gegend ist noch wenig touristisch und sehr authentisch. Wir haben von der Unterkunft aus Ausflüge gemacht und uns immer wieder gefreut in diese Ruhige Oase zurück zu kehren. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

What a gem! We had a great stay at Deborah’s place. The view from the pool facing an unblocked view of the ocean was just amazing and the environment was very quiet. Wayan came every morning and prepared a delicious breakfast and was also very helpful. We really enjoyed our time in the villa and would definitely go back in future if we go to Balian. 🙂

Wow! What an absolute treat to stay here. Everything is just amazing! From the extraordinary communication and flexibility of the host, the fantastic view, the massage, the amazing staff who prepared breakfast and cleaned every day to the great driver, it was all just sn absolute delight. It’s a true gem and a paradise! I wish I could have stayed longer. Will be back for sure.

If you want to unplug for some days this is an excellent choice. Fantastic views and sunset. This villa came with a fantastic pool and lying in the pool overlooking the Indian Ocean was amazing. Wayan was great and very responsive and came every morning at the agreed time to cook breakfast 🍳. It’s difficult to get food delivered by Gojek or Grab however in the villa were menus from 3 different restaurants and they all delivered. One restaurant was local dishes only and was lovely and cheap the two other restaurants were more international which made them more pricey but great food.

The Staff was amazing, we had delicious breakfasts. They always helped us with everything even in the night time. Thank you for the lovely experience.

A true paradise for ocean lovers! We had the most wonderful and relaxing time at Deborah's place. From start to end the communication with Deborah was easy. She organized us a scooter straight away and the place was even more beautiful than in the pictures. Every morning her crew welcomed us with the biggest smile and we always enjoyed there beautiful breakfast. Balian felt like the true Bali. It was quiet and wherever we went we met friendly and smiley locals. Beautiful waves and empty surfbreaks right infront of your villa. A dream for every surfer. We couldn't been happier and we hope to return one day. Thanks to all of you for making our stay unforgettable!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place. The daily view to the ocean and the calming sound of the waves. The staff was absolutly amazing. So fiendly and so helpful all the time. They made our stay really very special.

Best Airbnb I’ve ever had. Had a quick tour on arrival with a welcome drink. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. They made in-house breaky every morning and had plenty of recommendations on things to do. The villa in self was absolutely stunning and looked even BETTER than the pics!! Could not recommend enough :)

endroit magnifique et intime. personnel extraordinaire, petits-déj excellents. le seul petit bémol, le village n'était pas facilement accessible à pied le soir (dès 18h) au vu de la forte circulation.

its perfect place for someone looking for inner peace , theres surf camp down the beach. staff are friendly. friendly reminder that it is really remote and inside jungles , bugs & lizers are normal creatures u will see as your daily company :) you are going to sleep with the sound of waves feel like right in front of you.overall its a good stay.

Our stay at Deborah's was like a dream! The villa is very comfortable , yet simple, with a dreamy view on the Ocean. We loved "living" outside, the excellent breakfast, the massage, the nice swimming pool. We also loved Balian area. Special thanks for the staff who were thoughtful and super friendly. Will definitely come back if we have the opportunity.

This place is exactly as pictured and with an incredible view over the surf break and ocean. It was absolutely private and on the cliff top. Sunset views are spectacular. If you are looking for a peaceful, laid back place away from the crowds, look no further! The walk to the village is downhill and along a paved brick walkway. You do have to cross a river but it is not a problem to do so and there are some restaurants available in the village. The staff are utterly charming, courteous and the driver they arranged was top notch.

had a great stay at Deborahs place. the pictures don't do it justice it's very private and just a 5 minute walk to a very private beach that is great for swimming and the sunset. great ac and tv nice bathroom and kitchen. perfect honey moon spot. the restaraunts nearby have great pasta and pizza delivered! Our experience at Deborah’s villa was five stars. We loved the remote location, with just the roar of the sea (and a few cows to pet in the neighbouring field!) All the staff were lovely and the breakfast each morning was delicious. We hired a scooter so it was only a quick zip to the village where there are some wonderful little restaurants, although you can walk across the river to town in low tide. The pool was bigger than we thought and the outdoor space was great to relax in and watch the stars. We highly recommend a visit to Balian to rest and recharge away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks for a great few days!

This is a wonderful place. The ocean , cows, privacy, weather… surf.. amazing! The only sad thing to see was rubbish at the beach. Hopefully this will addressed in time. I would definitely recommend this trip!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The place was absolutely beautiful, and we had a pool overlooking the ocean all to ourselves. Deborah was incredibly responsive when we messaged her for directions. Everything, from check-in to our last day, went smoothly. The staff greeted us warmly every morning, and Wayan and Komang cooked us delicious meals daily, always checking if we needed anything. Kadek, the on-call masseuse, gave fantastic massages—we almost booked one every day. Nyoman, the driver, was also very friendly and pointed us to some great dining spots. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful vacation. 🌴🌟

Nothing short of a perfect stay. Jay and Wayan were extremely hospitable and instantly made my girlfriend and I feel welcomed, as if we were family. We even had local dogs guide us to the beach, stay with us on the beach and overall add such priceless experiences and memories to our stay. We will forever be thinking of Tiger, KiKi and Brownie. Only thing I can note, specifically for digital nomads, is that the wifi does get pretty glitchy around 8-11PM. However, this is nothing that can’t be worked around with the proper equipment. We will be returning as soon as possible! 10/10 stay and experience. 💯

We loved our stay at Lumbung Ananda, everything was stress free and relaxing. Jay, Nyoman (drivers) and Wayan + friend (housekeepers/chef) were fantastic and were always available if you needed anything. I highly recommended organising pick up from the airport with their drivers. Pool was great, bigger than we expected and we enjoyed the view of Balian Beach and watching the surfers. Breakfast was yummy and always served with a smile. The location is interesting - close to a few nice restaurants (which do delivery) and cool Warungs which are over the river - not super simple to access via foot but very close on a scooter. My husband did a few surf lessons and I relaxed by the pool - perfect! Balian is a very laid back, quiet part of Bali and we appreciated getting out of the city for a few days. This place meet all my expectations, the property is amazing and in a very secluded spot along the more quiet west coast, but still very close to restaurants and the beach for surfing. Whilst the home is a traditional style building it still maintained a very high level of luxury without loosing the natural feel. The staff were so kind and attentive and very helpful with any questions I had. Wayan made an excellent breakfast every morning and cleaned the property, evicting any local bugs from the pool area. (It is out of the way so bugs do make the odd appearance) Kadek the masseuse was excellent and really helped me when I had a few muscles issues, she really knows her trade. I ended up having a massage from her every day of the week I was there. We even shared a meal together one night by the pool, where she helped me to understand more about the local Bali life. Sitting on the edge looking out over the beach watching the surfers was my idea of heaven. 10/10 Thanks Deborah.

Absolutely wonderful stay! I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Deborah, but the staff took exceptional care of me! Daily housekeeping and breakfast was fabulous! Upon request, I even had the floating breakfast! Nyoman was wonderful! He even went into town to get me an adapter for the plug! Hands down the best! I hope to see you all very soon!

This beautiful villa in Balian is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the cities in Bali. You are a quick 5 minute scooter ride to local shops and warangs. The people of Balian are so incredibly kind and welcoming. The wonderful staff of Wayan and Komang were absolutely perfect. They come each morning to serve you a delicious breakfast and tidy up the villa. They are both so kind and gracious. Nyoman, the driver, is super knowledgeable about the area and is a great lift from the airport after a long flight getting in. Kadek, the masseuse, has hands of pure joy. We enjoyed her services more than once during our stay, and if we could, we would give her 10 stars. I can not say enough great things about our stay. We will definitely be returning to this villa.

we had a lovely stay at Lumbung Ananda. The bed was good. The pool was great. Wayan and Komang surprised us everyday with a smile and a nice breakfast. It was nice to be able to rent a motorbike. Which brought us to the other side of Balian Beach where we had great meals and drinks. And let’s not forget the great oceanview we had while sitting at your terrace. Thank you for hosting us. Our young son stayed at Deborahs amazing house for five nights. The stay from the beginning to when he left was perfect! The very nice driver, Nyoman, picked up at the airport which was very practical. Also Nyoman arranged excursions to make the best out of the stay with minimum effort for the guest. Every morning the polite and kind staff came to prepare breakfast in the house and that was a nice surprise! Deborah communicated during the entire stay and was outstanding! She made all efforts to make sure our son was ok and that pleases me as a mom! This is an Airbnb with extra ALL! Thank you once again!

We stayed at this wonderful villa for three days and were amazed at how quiet and peaceful the place is. We were completely alone and thoroughly enjoyed the sea views and unforgettable sunsets. The caring kind and courteous staff kept the place clean every day and prepared a variety of delicious breakfasts. Couldn't have wished for anything better!! Absolutely loved our stay. Comfy bed, private pool, amazing veiw of the beach. The ladies came every morning and cooked up a beautiful breakfast(we loved the omelet) and fresh fruits. We would recommend hiring her driver Nyoman as the place could be tricky to find on your own. He is also available to take you anywhere you would like to go. A+++++ High recommend this place

We really enjoyed our stay in Deborahs beautiful house. If you are looking for a quite place to stay in Bali you are at the right place. The view from the house is stunning and Deborah as well as Wayan and Komang did everything to make us feel at home! There is a very friendly dog named tiger living around the house and we really miss him and wish him all the best for his future. :)

Beautiful!! This was our first stay in Bali and we were so happy with how beautiful it was. Super secluded 5* location! All of the views & staff at this location were absolutely perfect. Bungalow zlokalizowany jest tuż przy Bailan Beach, ktora nie jest oblegana przez turystów dzięki czemu jest to świetne miejsce na przyjazd na Bali jeśli szukasz odpoczynku po długim locie. Gospodarz załatwił nam transport z lotniska i uważam, ze warto z niego skorzystać gdyż pokrętne uliczki i droga prowadząca do willi nie jest prosta. Co do samego miejsca - jest tak jak na zdjęciach , basen okazał sie nawet większy niż oczekiwaliśmy, woda czysta i ciepła. Śniadania serwowane na miejscu przez Panie które przyjeżdżały o wybranej godzinie. Możliwość zamówienia masażu. Widok niecodzienny na wysokie fale idealne dla doświadczonych surferów , 10 min spacerem do wybrzeża, praktyczny brak turystów w końcówce września. Dziękujemy za idealny pobyt na początek zwiedzania Bali.

Deborahs place was the perfect ending to our honeymoon in Bali! We spent 2 days relaxing with the ocean views and vibes. This is an area best for people who want downtime and relax to themselves away from the busy touristic places in Bali. We would definitely come back again to relax!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und wie auf den Fotos beschrieben. Man ist dort etwas abgelegen (wie in anderen Bewertungen beschrieben), das hat uns als letzten Aufenthalt vor dem Rückflug gar nicht gestört. So konnte man die letzten Tage noch sehr privat genießen. Zum Essen gibt es drei Restaurants in der Nähe, wir würden Balian Café empfehlen (beste Pizza auf Bali). Wayan und ihre Kollegin war sehr herzlich und immer hilfsbereit :) Die Massage war auch sehr gut. Würden wieder kommen!

Nous avons passer 3 nuits et 4 jours dans cette villa , le calme et là sérénités sont de rigueur. Si vous aimez la nature, la tranquillité vous allez adorer. La chambre est simple , le lit est confortable. Les toilettes sont à l’extérieur de la chambre. La piscine est très grande vous pouvez y faire vos longueurs sans problème. Ici le temps s’arrête , vous êtes dans un endroit paisible et pas touristique , la plage en face ( a 4 min à pied ). Pour revenir sur la villa, le personnels est extraordinaire que ce soit Wayan qui nous a préparer le petit déjeuner tous les matins, aider pour avoir un cours de yoga privée à la maison , les massages , pour laver nos vêtements … toujours souriante, et dévouée pour son travail! Nyoman le chauffeur , qui est gentil polie et qui vous emmène partout où vous le désirez en seulement un message. Il est drôle et serviable et surtout un vrai pilote ! Merci beaucoup Nyoman ! Coup de cœur pour Tiger. Et merci Deborah pour ce magnifique logement

Deborah's Personal hat uns freundlich empfangen trotz Verspätung. Im Zimmer lagen hilfreiche Infos bzw. Angebote (Spa, Restaurant Lieferservice). Der Pool war sehr schön, das Zimmer sehr gross. Sie hat uns einen Roller organisiert für 70 k pro Tag. Für das Frühstück (gute Auswahl) sind 2 freundliche Damen immer extra angereist und haben es in der Küche frisch zubereitet. Während wir dies zu uns nahmen haben sie das Zimmer gereinigt. Bei der Abreise hat sie uns einen Fahrer organisiert, was aufgrund der grossen Zeremonie auf Bali etwas schwieriger war. Ich dachte zuerst, da es auf den Fotos so aussah, dass das Airbnb direkt am Strand liegt, man muss aber schon ca. 5, 6 Minuten gehen. Restaurants sind ebenfalls über den Strand, etwas durch das Wasser über einen Steinstrand, zu Fuss erreichbar oder in 5 Minuten mit dem Roller. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, wir empfehlen auf jeden Fall einen Roller. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Wir haben 2 Nächte in Deborahs Unterkunft verbracht. Es war so wunderschön ruhig. Das Haus ist direkt am Meer, man kann schöne Strandspaziergänge von hier machen. Der Pool ist von der Temperatur super angenehm und gut zum schwimmen. Nachts konnten wir den Sternenhimmel bestaunen :) Das Bett ist bequem, das Badezimmer sauber und die Küche erfüllt ihren Zweck. Alles in allem kann ich die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man ein paar Tage Erholung und Ruhe benötigt! Von den entfernteren Restaurants kann man sich essen liefern lassen oder vor der Ankunft einkaufen und selbst kochen :) Wir haben die zwei Tage so sehr genossen und bedanken uns für diesen tollen Aufenthalt!! :)

Für eine ruhige und erholsame Zeit ist das Haus von Deborah genau richtig! Man kann super entspannen und das Meeresrauschen hören. Für Erledigungen oder um Restaurants zu erreichen sollte man mobil sein. Eine Roller über das Hauspersonal zu mieten ist aber total unkompliziert und für wenig Geld möglich. Es gibt viele freilaufende Hunde in der Umgebung, damit sollte man zurecht kommen.

We had a great time at Deborah’s place. We stayed a couple of nights and had a great relaxing time at the villa. The view from the room of the pool and the ocean is stunning. We even have some cows one of the days. You can watch the perfect waves from the terrace, and even though we didn’t surf this time, it seems like a great spot for surfing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. From Wayan and her staff who prepared breakfast for us every morning, to the drivers (Nyoman and Jay) who drove us from Ubud and to Denpasar. We had great chats with them and learnt a lot about the balinese culture. We will definetely recommend you to stay at this villa. Thank you Deborah

What a beautiful place to stay! We had spent 10 day’s travelling around Bali and wanted to find a nice quiet place on a beach for our final 4 days before returning home. This was it!! Peaceful and relaxing. My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Deborah’s place. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Kadec gave us the best massages we have ever had! We would highly recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet in a beautiful setting near the beach.

Absolutely stunning place. Very relaxing and peaceful, amazing pool which was much bigger than expected! The view is unbeatable, and the surroundings (the farmlands and the cows) made it even more special. Had great food recommendations as it’s a bit trickier to find many restaurants compared to other more touristy locations in Bali- but menus and contacts were given to us in the villa! The room was stunning too, comfortable and the air con was perfect! Wayan was wonderful, so helpful and made amazing breakfasts each day! We rented a scooter through Wayan which made it easy to get around. We made friends with the neighborhood dogs, Kiki and Tiger and their other red doggy friend were so cute! Over all- such a wonderful stay, thank you so much we would recommend it highly and come again!

The Airbnb itself was beautiful, awesome pool, lovely view of the beach and waves and the room was awesome. The AC was always working and cold. Shower pressure was great. Be ready for a walk to the beach or even to the Airbnb itself seeing as they are doing construction on the beach and sometimes the trucks get stuck in the road but it’s not a bad walk. Beach isn’t really for swimming but good for learning how to surf. Delivery food was good. Staff was very quick to respond and helpful and the driver nyoman and Edi were awesome!

Deborah is a great host. Her local staff for example Nyoman are always available and extremely supportive. Thanks to their effort we had a lovely stay at the peacefully located villa just 3min from the sea shore. The villa and the pool were regularly cleaned. The breakfast each morning was freshly prepared and tasted lovely. Just 5min by scooter there is a resort area with various restaurants. The villa is suitable for longer stays, surfing, beach, relaxation and walks. Overall the villa is very spacious.

What an amazing place to relax for a few days. We loved Balian , Deborah’s house was the perfect place to start our Bali trip . Would definitely come back . Thank you

Our stay at Deborah’s place was magical! A peaceful oasis away from the hectic cities of Bali, Balian is a hidden gem! The house was so beautiful, clean, with a great view and a brilliant pool. The staff Kadek, Wayan and Nyoman took care of us so well from arranging breakfast, meals, massages and day trips! It was all we could have asked for, with easy beach access and such quiet green surroundings. Definitely hoping to come back again :)

Spent the best 2 nights alone in this villa and never felt happier and calm. Beachfront view is amazing, could just lay in the villa all day. Wayan and komang were very lovely people, made amazing breakfast, and were very attentive during my stay. Would definitely stay here again

We loved our 8 days here. The BnB on the beach is a beautiful place, very relaxing, great view, you can hear and see the ocean all around. Wonderful staff came every morning, nice breakfast, help with anything. Pool is nice and clean. Easy to organise local things like massage with Kadek, yoga with Dharma, food delivery, surf canteen is a short walk, great fresh food. And Nyomen, what a Legend! Thank you! Expert driving, definitely recommend organising driving with him for pick up from airport, or plan few days in advance for day trips… Thank you Deborah for all your help in planning our holiday 🙏

What a wonderful place! The place was beautiful and the staff were very hospitable and look after us very well. The place was gorgeous and kept clean each day. Lots of character and had everything you needed. Breakfast was delicious. Made daily and all included!! Pool was clean and big! Great views. Massages were delightful and staff always accommodating. We ordered of the in rooms menus most nights as the weather was a little crazy in the afternoon, but that’s the season. All the food delivery was quick and great food. And cheap! We always tipped well as the locals don’t get paid much. There is only one Warung within distance from the accommodation. The Warung is down near the water in front of the Airbnb. You can access by a walking track down to the right of the property- ask staff and they can show you. Much quicker than wanking around on the track We were a little disappointed that the map didn’t show a more accurate location of the place before we arrived. More importantly for surfers - As much as we loved the location, it was very difficult to get to the main surf Break on the other side of the river. We ended up having to scooter around to the other side. I’m sure when the weather is clearer it would be easier to paddle out and over but there was a lot of debris in the water when we stayed. There is a surf break in front also but we did not surf there. Wasn’t many waves. Thanks Deborah. We loved Balian and would highly recommend your place. :)

Perfect stay! Deborah is a really nice host who always answered any of my needs. I stayed in the villa alone and felt very safe. The breakfasts were exquisite and Nyoman was very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend for a couple or someone traveling alone if you are looking for a calm place far from noise and tourists. My stay was magical, i will come back for sure.

We found a hidden gem! A week of relaxing and peace. The pool was great, the beach was amazing and we loved Kadek's massage and her husband’s food for dinner. Nyoman was amazing and drove us from Canggu to Balian then back to Uluwatu. Everyone’s always with a smile on their faces - the Balinese way. Make sure you try the pancakes for breakfast - we’ll miss them! We slept really well every night, besides the last one as the cows were walking around the house and the bells were noisy and the black dog was barking a lot - nothing crazy but I thought it’d be great for guests to have earplugs if they mind a bit of noise. Besides that, everything was perfect. Exactly like the pictures. A dream. Thank you - Suksma

The villa is wonderful and the staff are so accommodating. It is located up along the hillside in a row of houses. The view is great and the pool is wonderful. Our only issue was that the wifi, which appears to be an extender from the router at the villa next door, was spotty and only worked about 30% of the time. Other than that, it was very relaxing and a great stay.

Everything was excellent at this stay. Prices were fair. Delivery food service was inexpensive and good food. The bee is superb. The bedroom, pool, bathroom, and kitchen were all very clean. Daily room service and breakfast was prompt and delicious. Overall, would highly recommend for anyone who wants a low-key beach stay with little to no distractions.

Loved this little villa so much. I needed a bit of an escape from reality and that's exactly what I got. I stayed for a month and got quite settled into my little beach routine; lovely breakfast of fruit and pancakes, pet the dogs, walk on the beach with Kiki (one of the dogs, she became my little sidekick), sunbathe, swim, walk to the next little town for a coffee, another beach walk.... just perfect. I would visit again in a heartbeat. Just some little notes, if you don't like bugs, prepare yourself! You are well and truly in nature (which is what I wanted so the bugs were no problem for me), so expect to see ants, mozzies, etc. There are also some very cute geckos living in the outdoor section of the roof, you will hear them in the evening and morning. Also, rats, which are again to be expected as you are in nature, make sure if you are shopping and cooking for yourself that everything is either in the fridge or in glass jars (the only thing of mine they never managed to get into!). They didnt bother me, but just a note :)

Beautiful hidden location perfect for a few days to unwind and relax! We loved the dogs and cows that were visible from our pool! Great restaurant options in the local area all available for delivery and very affordable.

Deborah’s villa was beautiful!! It’s right on Bailan beach and it gave me the peaceful getaway I needed. I would say, that the space is enough to comfortably host 1-2 guests. If you are looking for something bigger, Deborah has another listing that may be better suited. I came as a solo traveler, so this was enough space for me. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the local dogs. Tiger was such a sweetheart. He became my guard dog and always alerted me when someone was walking nearby! Being a solo traveler, this made me feel safe. The bedroom was so comfortable to relax in. The AC does get pretty cold so I used it sparingly. The outdoor bathroom had a nice touch, and I didn’t have any problems. I didn’t utilize the kitchen; however, there is a fridge and space for you to cook your own meals if you’d like! Every night I ordered from Tekor Bali for food delivery. There’s delicious traditional Balinese options! It takes about an hour from order time to receive the delivery. Maya was super sweet and helped me with laundry services, massages, and cooked breakfast every morning. Don’t be afraid to ask for Balinese menu options! I loved the nasi jinggo she cooked for me. She made the best coffee and served my meals with the most delicious fresh fruit!! Again, don’t forget to book a massage! I got the hot stone massage and it was so relaxing. Nova was an amazing driver and he and Nyoman did a wonderful job at arranging transportation. Nova took me to all the day trips I planned! They had no issues stopping at the grocery mart or ATM if I needed. This is a great place to book if you’re into surfing or just want a nice get away. Balian beach is not tourist heavy and it’s a great way to get the full Balinese local experience. It is about two hours from the airport and can be 1-2 hours away from Seminyak, Kuta, Tabanan, Ubud, etc. There won’t be many shops around like Starbucks, shopping centers, etc! But for me that’s just what I needed. You won’t regret booking here :)

This little hideout grows on you and becomes part of you after a time. Once you find your stay, and this is quite remote and away from everywhere you begin to discover the environment and yourself. It's a beautiful place and I miss being there already. The aircon is great, the bed very comfortable. The structure is just beautiful and the polished concrete of the shower and kitchen is functional and welcome. The fridge/freezer is great as is the cooking. The pool and the loungers are heaven and the view breathtaking. The staff wonderful and attentive and Maya is an angel and a beautiful person who will assist you. Bali is dog friendly. Everyone is dog friendly. I am now dog friendly so please if you are not a dog lover then Bali generally isnt for you. The remoteness of this stay means you are amongst the animals. Chicken, Cows and friendly dogs. In house massage and laundry and scooter hire is all available. A short or lengthy stay this is just a super place. Away from the south and way up in the West Coast. Stunning.

One of the most lovely getaways I have experienced in Bali. The besch home is cozy and created with love. The house manager Maya is a true treasure and such a kind Balinese sister. This villa no doubt will pleasure your eyes. It is very beautiful ocean view. We can see a bit of Java Island in far away. While at night we can sleep very comfort with the sound of the waves. The place is very clean and quite. No doubt will stay here again if I have chance to visit Balian again

We had an amazing 2 night stay at Deborah's place. It was super clean, the staff was really sweet, great massage, and EPIC ocean views with an amazing pool. It was really quiet and 2 cute pups lived around the property. The wifi signal is not great if you plan to work remotely there, but its so beautiful... so a great place to just relax and enjoy!

I had a really wonderful stay here. Bu Wayan and Bu Komang are really helpful, attentive, and friendly. You can also find many cheap local restaurants with great taste near the villa you can dine-in or delivery. For those who mostly want to enjoy and relax, I really recommend this villa. And if you decide to stay here, please say hi from me for the lovely dan friendly dogs guarding the villa: Tiger, Kiki, Satu, and Lala

One of the best place with stunning view ! Yes, it is spectacular ! If you have chance to visit Bali and looking for an escape place, I recommend you to stay here. From your patio, you can see greens and sea at the same time. Maya is the best and super helpful. Communication went smoothly. We also made friendship with local dogs, We called them our gangs 😁, they will sleep infront of your patio by night. For meals, we recommend you to take away food by day. We had wonderful time staying here. Would definitely stay there again.

the staff are so helpful & humble! it's amazing to open your door and see the wide sea from only several km, the pool is so big too (although it's not that clean). the kitchen is very useful because the location is in a remote area. It's so good to enjoy the sea breeze and doing yoga in front of the pool and sea. it's too dark at night so you need to cook & clean before the sunset, a little bit cold on the night so better you prepare extra blanket. The toilet is outside so it's kinda challenging to use the bathroom at the night. Be careful with centipedes I found a lot of them and got used to dismissing them haha that's the price to enjoying the sea, it's all worth it!

We spent 2 weeks here celebrating our 5 year anniversary. It's a beautiful place, with stunning views, in a paradise location. The sunset can be seen from the beach in front. The uninterrupted sea view can be seen from anywhere in the villa (even from the bed) The swimming pool was great! The place was secluded, quiet and safe. The staff were friendly and useful. Make sure you bring enough food/drink for your whole stay, there is nothing nearby and impossible to get a grab/gojek.

What a gift of beauty and relaxation this villa has to offer. It is way better than the descriptions for you will fall in love with this place. It is totally secluded with an amazing view of the Balian Beach surf break. We relaxed in the pool while watching the epic surf, read in the lounges and explored the area from restaurants to beaches. It’s truly a great spot! On arrival, we were treated by Maya with ice cold lime juice. Maya helped us with our every need from surf board rentals to massage appointments. She even brought us a rice cooker to use so that we could cook for ourselves. She was there with her family every morning to cook us a delicious breakfast and to tidy up the space. Thank you Maya and the others who made our stay in Balian magical!

House with pool close to the beach, great for surfers. It feels so good to hear the sound of the waves all day long and wake up with birds chirping. You are probably going to meet cows as well. Loved it and recommend it.

Maya Satori, what an unexpected surprise! The happy and jovial driver , organised by Deborah, collected us prompting from the airport and delivered us safely to the villa at Balian beach. Greeted by the lovely “Maya” with welcome drinks, we were swiftly orientated to the ins and outs of the villa. The villa is located on the lush hillside, directly in front of the surf break, what a perfect spot in paradise. 5 stars for location. A perfect place to watch the breaks, meditate and enjoy a cooling ale. Maya recommended massages, yoga, motorbike and in house chef directly to the villa. All which was exceptional. We will be back, Until then, Oliver and Ellie.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Everything faces out onto the ocean whether you are eating breakfast, lying in bed or having a dip in the pool. My friend and I had a great few relaxing days here, however we did struggle to know how to get around in terms of whether to walk or get a taxi. The local town isn't far however I wouldn't recommend walking it on the road because it's so busy!! We found it very secluded which is perfect for what we needed and wanted to relax, and you could order dinner, massages, pedicures, manicures etc all to the villa. Maya was very attentive and made a lovely breakfast every morning

I loved this space. Maya, my house keeper was a delight and was very helpful. I made friends with some local dogs, ran along the beach and watched the sunset overnight from my lounge chair. It really was like home away from home vibes and a spectacular view!

В шаговой доступности магазин, варунги, небольшой рынок. 3. На виллу приходят собаки. Воспитанные и дружелюбные. На пляже охраняли наши вещи, ночью охраняли виллу. Привет, Сату, Тайгер, Джоли и Кики:) Сама вилла отличная и комфортная. Отельное строение санузел и отдельное строение кухня. Шикарный бассейн 12 метров с видом на океан и на закат. 4. Майя замечательный человек! Помогала советами, организовала байк, купила для меня рыбу и лобстеров, которые я с удовольствием приготовил. Майя, привет из России!:) Все очень понравилось, рекомендую однозначно! Надеюсь вернуться сюда ещё...

This little treasure is even better than in the pictures. You need to come there to experience the atmosphere . Everyone is so friendly and helpful ! All local dogs and cows running around add to the beautiful feeling . Swimming in the pool and watching locals fishing and surfers catching waves is so magical! If you want to escape from hustle and experience real Bali , this is the place ! Loved every minute of our stay !

We stayed 10 nights at the house and we loved every single day! The spot is great, fantastic view and really good to relax. We watched the sunset from our terrace every day and every day was better than the other. Maya made breakfast for us and organised everything, she is a lovely person. Balian beach is a unique spot, it is silent without busy tourism. It is hard to explain in words how wonderful our time at this place was! We recommend this place 200%!!! We will miss this place and the nice people around us especially Maya.

What more could you ask for, this place really exceeded our expectations! Exactly like the photos but so much more beautiful in person. Amazing location right on the beach in such a lovely town. Maya, our host, provided breakfast in the morning and organised all transport from the airport to the villa and to our next Airbnb location. It is a two hour drive from the airport in Denpasar but so worth the travel and to get out of the busy cities. The dogs were very friendly and felt more like our pets by the end of our stay! We couldn’t recommend this place enough it is everything we could have hoped for and more.

Went here for the first 4 days our honeymoon... absolutely brilliant! Was perfect for the two of us. Good surf right in front of the place. Great places to eat in walking distance. Everything about the place was so special. Thank you Deborah😊

Arrived in the evening and was held up at immigration. The arranged driver waited patiently for us, brought us to have our dinner and buy some groceries before driving us to the villa. Maya met us at the villa and explained to us the important info we require. As it was quite dim, we decided to have a quick swim and head to bed. It was only in the morning that we get to really appreciate the beauty of the place. We get to see the Balian beach, beautiful pool and overall architecture. Bed and pillows are comfy for a good night's sleep. Pool is good to swim a few laps. Friendly neighbourhood dogs will come pay a visit. Dont worry about them. They will mind their own business. Oh in the day, u can see COWS in front of the villa. How cute. As it is close to nature, expect the normal ants and flying insects here and there but they add to the experience. Note that there is NO TV. Something that I was thankful for as I got to spend my time in the open hearing the waves. Theres a bluetooth speaker for u to pipe ur music to if you need. Breakfast was basic but filling enough. Stock up on snacks if u r those who need to snack on stuff. A short walk across Balian beach will lead you to a few yummy restaurant and massage parlour. Otherwise, you can call for delivery, all the info is readily available. Overall, I totally love this place. It can be too dim for some at night, but I loved it so much. I so recommend this place to those who wanna experience a different Bali and escape from the hustle and bustle.

As a solo traveler, I felt safe and thoroughly refreshed during this trip.

This is the best place to stay in Balian! My family were staying in town and while our villa was on the other side of the river, we all preferred our spot. It's a simple walk along the beach (5 mins) to get to the main street but we had so much privacy and such an amazing view! The house was neat, clean and stunning. Maya is the most wonderful host, everything we asked for was no problem and she was flexible and accomodating with things like when we wanted breakfast and organising scooters and massages. Highly recommend this place, we loved every second and will definitely be back!

Me and my friend loved staying at this private, ocean-front airbnb! Waking up to the sound of the waves was amazing. The property is about a 15 minute walk (if you take the beach route) to the town center where you can find several food and drink options. One of the house staff, Maya, catered to our every need and arranged daily breakfast, drivers, and surfing lessons for us! We also loved that there were friendly dogs always on the property to keep us company.

Lovey property!! I’m so happy I got to stay here. It is quite far from everything so you need a ride if you want to go anywhere and there isnt much around. Also the water isn’t really swimmable. The current is very strong but beautiful place to stroll the beach wnd get your ankles wet ! And play with all the stray dogs. If you’re into surfing this is definitely the place to go! I got a massage outside and listened to the beautiful waves. So relaxing and maya the house keeper was lovely and very helpful!

Our favorite place in Bali. We stayed in a number of villa's and hotels in Bali and this was our favorite place. You honestly don't want o leave this Villa once you begin your stay. Plus, the Balian Beach night market was our favorite - get your food there. We will return for sure. Stay as long as you can here.

If you are wanting to stay in Balian Beach and have not booked yet... Book this now! This place is amazing. Everyone made our stay perfect. Breakfast and coffee prepared in the mornings. Massages directly to your room. The pool is amazing. Falling asleep to the waves. Food delivered. Or quick walk to night market to eat like kings. The quick walk to the empty beach to relax and take in the easy life. I can’t stress how amazing this was. It was our last stop in Bali (after Kuta. Seminyak. Ubud) and was the best timing!!! Again don’t hesitate or it will book up fast. Do it :)

Love love this place! Reminded me of what canggu use to be like! The place is amazing huge pool very unique building, the veiw is exceptional, and waking up here before a surf and having a coffee watching the beautiful cows in the field was just perfect! Check in was super easy Maya and the rest of the staff where fantastic and very accommodating, massages at the place where very good and an exceptional price! Super chilled place I just hope it doesn’t end up the way canggu has! We will be back! P.S if this property is booked her other property next door is amazing as well with the same beautiful veiw!

This place is beyond my wildest dreams. Maya is outstanding and she made such a lovely breakfast. We had massages organised which were fabulous and so cheap. There was even Bridget Jones in the cupboard - what more could I ask for? Even the transfer man was one of the most pleasant person. Everyone waved and said hello! The dogs were friendly and there were the most adorable puppies. There were great places to eat and the black sand was magnificent! My partner went surfing everyday and it was easy to hire a surf board. There was a little shop up the road and it was so cheap - unbelievable. The only thing I would say is that it gets very dark, very quickly and access to the village is a bit tricky. We want to come back!!

Amazing accommodation for the price. This place looks way better than the pictures. Breakfast is provided and the local restaurants can deliver. My favorite part were the local dogs that come by and hangout. It felt like home away from home.

We were sort off concerned before booking this place, because it was fairly new, and there werent many reviews. We checked the other place (other listing from Deborah), and the reviews were great. Its easy to say that we loved it here, if you’re looking for a quite place, beautiful scenery, the most loving dogs around you, don’t even hesitate to book! Maya is the nicest person, she will help you with everything you need, and her cooking is great! Small geckos around the place, the only thing to watch out, dont leave ANY food anywhere, because you’ll be greeted by millions of ants, we had to clean twice. :D Night market after 4pm is a must visit for some local food, theres a safe ATM very close to the market on the right side. We drove around with the scooter a bit, very nice places close by. Very nice restaurant below the Villa (surf camp). Don’t be afraid to pet the dogs, they’re shy at first, but after a day they’ll be all over you. Anyhow, enjoy the place as much as you can! Joe&Tjasa

I was a little worried about the location at first seeing how far it was from the main area of Bali. However, after we got to the villa, we were so well taken care of by Maya and her team that we did not even want to leave the villa! It was so easy to arrange massage by the pool and food deliveries and everything we wanted. Lying by the lounger at night listening to the waves and watching the stars was definitely the best part of it! I'm already planning my next trip back to the wonderful oasis.

Definitely the highlight of out trip to Bali - only regret is we didn't stay longer! We have been to Bali multiple times and this was by far the best 2 days we have had! Waking up to a villa overlooking the ocean, cows in the farm and friendly dogs waiting for you by the sun beds; is exactly what we needed in our holiday!

Amazing airBnB tucked in the less-touristy area of Bali. Balian Beach is a gem within Bali and Deborah’s Airbnb is a gem within Balian Beach. Wonderful daily breakfasts and visits with Maya and Koman. The villa itself is immaculate and feels like the perfect home away from home. Beautiful property, incredible views, and passionate and kind people - doesn’t get much better than this.

Wow -- what an amazingly special place! Off the beaten path in a wonderful way. I rented a scooter to venture around the area, walked to Pitaya every morning for yoga and found surfing rentals walking distance from the place. Amazingly relaxing. Maya arranged massages which also amazing. Highly recommend!

The place is amazing, the Indian Ocean just upfront, empty and wild beach, palm trees and forest everywhere, the scenery is perfect.
