Exploring Pucuk Sari, Private Villa with Pool, Candidasa left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Pucuk Sari, Private Villa with Pool, Candidasa was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Manggis plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Pucuk Sari, Private Villa with Pool, Candidasa painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
La maison est très agréable et spacieuse. Attention, l’une des chambres, celle sans air conditionné a de grandes fenêtres sans rideau et le jour se lève tôt. Le jardin est fleuri et très bien entretenu et l’espace près de la piscine pour se relaxer très appréciable. De très bons restaurants à proximité ou l’on peut se rendre à pied et un quartier calme malgré les singes et les coqs! Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et y retournerions avec plaisir. Peut être qu’à ce prix là, le petit déjeuner pourrait être inclus? Sue a été très réactive et a toujours très vite répondu à nos questions et nous a fait de bonnes recommandations. Merci beaucoup.
Thank you Sue for sharing your home with us. My partner and I had the most relaxing time at your villa. It was perfect for our Babymoon. Enjoying the pool, day beds and soaking up the sunshine. It’s Walking distance to the beach and many food places. Sue was very easy to communicate, had great recommendations and flexible with arrangements. the house keeper is the loveliest person who made us a delicious breakfast each morning. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet and relaxing side of Bali. Day trips were easy to book with the driver and snorkeling with Momon 👍🏼👍🏼.
Unsere Zeit in der Unterkunft in Manggis hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Unterkunft ist genauso schön, wie sie auf den Fotos dargestellt wird. Die Gartenanlage ist wunderschön, wird täglich gepflegt und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Auch die Räumlichkeiten sind großzügig, sauber und sehr gepflegt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die herzliche und hilfsbereite Art. Die Lage ist perfekt – nur wenige Schritte vom Sandstrand entfernt und mit einigen guten Warungs in der näheren Umgebung. Auch die Umgebung von Manggis hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
Pucuk Sari, was ideal for us. Sparkling pool, good bedrooms and garden area. Close to the water for a snorkeling trip and walking distance to restaurants. We enjoyed our stay very much. Hope to return for a longer stay next time
if you want to see real Bali...we recommend that villa.
Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in Pucuk Sari. Het huis is ruim, schoon en de bedden sliepen prima. Het is heel privé en veilig ommuurd. Wij vonden het leuk om meteen buiten de tuin de natuur van Candidasa in te lopen. Prachtig ook om er aapjes te zien zelfs! Op weg naar de winkelstraat zeggen locals vriendelijk gedag of maken een praatje. Het personeel dat voor het huis zorgt, is hartelijk. Zelfs een paar keer gebruik gemaakt van de ontbijtservice! De werkzaamheden aan de kust, slechts een paar meter van de villa af, waren niet storend, maar het was daardoor niet makkelijk langs het strand te lopen. Gelukkig was Virgin Beach een geweldige vervanging. Heerliknrustig, mooi strand en fijne bedjes met eetgelegenheden. In de buurt ook zat mogelijkheden om cultuur te snuiven. Met Moman vanaf daar een boottocht/ snorkeltoer gedaan. Óók heel leuk! Kortom: een grote aanrader!
Such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! Sue's villa was really spacious. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces felt very private. The swimming pool was perfect, and I enjoyed the lovely garden. The outlook to banana and coconut palms beyond gives the property a very lush, natural feel. It was very convenient to have the beach just a minute's walk away - so easy to jump on a local boat to go snorkelling or visiting other places. The villa had everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable, and the cooling was excellent. The very large fridge was great for cool drinks and snacks. Sue was very helpful with information and suggestions - there was plenty of great places to eat out nearby. I really enjoyed the local food and cheery people in Candidasa. I hope to soon return to this perfect villa escape!
Nous ne sommes restées dans le logement que 24 h en attendant notre vol de retour. Endroit parfait pour se relaxer au calme, entourés de verdure et à 1 minute à pied de la mer et des superbes couchers et levers de soleil. Piscine très agréable. Merci Sue.
We felt right at home in Sue’s place. We booked at the last minute and Sue got in touch with us straight away and made arrangements for our check in. Kadek, the housekeeper, let us in. We felt right at home. It’s a proper home with a juicer (a bonus here where there is plenty of tropical fresh fruit at hand) and a washing machine. The highlight is the well established manicured garden with a generous size pool, where we spent much time. The property is quiet at the edge of town, close to the sea, though we much preferred Virgin Beach with its white sand and calm bluwhich is only 30 minutes drive away. There with my children we went fishing with Wayan, who took us out on a traditional boat and taught us to fish the local fish. We saw dolphins and sea turtles. Trip costed IDR 600,000, aka AUD 60. My 10 year old fished 27 fish on the second day we went out with him as he had cracked the tecnique. Then Wayan grilled the fish in his Sunrise Warung. Catch and cook, great!

Staying at Sue’s place was a highlight of our trip. Not only was Sue very hospitable, but the team and staff that she employees there are amazing. Extremely responsive, super helpful in navigating the town, and always eager to cater to our needs. The house has air conditioning in two of the rooms. The top bedroom in the main house was too hot to sleep in. We did make the set up work, however it would’ve been nice to have notated this in the listing. Again, even with the lack of air conditioning in one of the rooms I would still go back.

I’ve stayed at Villa Pucuk twice now, and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Candidasa. This is a beautifully traditional villa in a very quiet spot in the village. The beach is steps away, so you can start the day with a refreshing sea swim! Also 2 minutes walk away is Pura Segara, so if you so wish you can start the day making offerings or meditating. This is my happy place and I’m already planning my next visit! If you’re reading this and planning to visit, I’m jealous!
This is a home with all its gentle personal touches. Light and spacious with separate living areas for a family, stunning garden and pool and large cabana. My favourite was the one minute walk to their private beach. Stepping around the corner is the classic view across the sea. Shades of blues and turquoise over clear water. The launching beach for boat rides. Sun gazing at dawn. Even a couple of small islands on the horizon. All so special. And their local road was away from the unattractive main Candidasa traffic but still walking distance. We’ll be back. Thanks Sue for your excellent communication.
We had a lovely stay in pucuk sari, it was everything the reviews said and sue was super quick to respond. We loved staying here. The kids loved the village animals and the local eating places. The house was spacious, five of us slept comfortably and the pool and garden were delightful. I also loved the short walk to the beach and restaurants. We will be back for sure. Thanks sue.
This place is a treasure! Do not hesitate to rent. I have happy memories whenever I think of our stay at the villa. It is even more beautiful than in the photos. Privacy, space, nature, proximity to the beach. All is top notch. We enjoyed hanging out in the pool and on the lounges. The location is terrific. We were in our own place, a few meters to the beach but also within walking distance to restaurant in the town. The village has a lotus pond, a small supermarket and a highly recommended dive centre. The countryside is beautiful around Candidasa with surrounding mountains, rice paddys, the Water Palace, the White sands beach and traditional boats to hire for snorkelling. Staff came in each morning to clean and cook breakfast. They can answer questions and organise drivers. We felt very looked after. Sue was a great host. Wow what a great stay I had in this villa! It is perfectly located amongst the palms and close to the beach , restaurants, shops and cafes, yet so private. The indoors opens beautifully to the outdoors, creating such a fantastic space for relaxation, reading, jumping into the pool or having a massage. Plenty of space to share together without feeling crowded or take a bit of private time to read or snooze. The staff are lovely and will do anything to help ensure your stay is a good one. They know the area and all that is on offer and are only to happy to provide information or advice. I thoroughly recommend this villa and the host, Sue.
Oh my goodness. Thank you so much Sue for the most wonderful Balinese experience. From the moment I stepped into Pucuk Sari, I felt relaxed and at home. From the majestic surroundings of the tropical garden, with tall coconut palms swaying in the breeze and the sounds of the ocean every night to the comfortable villa with its poolside living and places to chill, this place made me instantly smile. It was a holiday to remember. The beautiful Wayan and Kadek were there to greet and welcome me, with lots of great advice and suggestions including a plethora of restaurants and places within walking distance. If you want to kick back and unwind, Pucuk Sari is the place. I can’t wait to book my next stay here again.
