Exploring Rafka Private Bamboo House With Jungle Views. left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Rafka Private Bamboo House With Jungle Views. was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Susut plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Rafka Private Bamboo House With Jungle Views. painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

This place is no longer habitable.

Earlier we thought of booking the bamboo room for 2-3 days. A nice place in a great location, from the look of the pictures. But good thing we ended up staying there only for a night. The location was good. But at the first glance it was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned. It was dirty. It was as if the bedsheet, pillow cases and bean bags covers were not changed and have been there for some time. They were all dusty. Trashes were at the garbage bin and there was some used soap in the bathroom. We weren’t comfortable the whole time. Also, they need not have mentioned ‘free breakfast’. Just coffee and some delicacies that can be bought from the streets. Overall compared to airbnb standards, it was a disappointment. We checked out early and went to our next room.

Nous avons apprecie la chaleur de nos hotes, mais si vous choisissez ce logement attention il se trouve entre deux routes dont une très fréquentée et bruyante. La cabane n'est pas au milieu de la jungle comme pourrait le sous entendre les photos. Meme si cela a été une experience interressante un conseil prévoyez des pulls pour dormir et sachez que les sanitaires sont très sommaires.

Putu war ein sehr hilfsbereiter und zuvorkommender Gastgeber – er hat schnell auf Nachrichten reagiert, uns Roller vermietet, Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und wir hätten länger bleiben dürfen. Auch das Frühstück gut. Die Gastfreundschaft war durchweg positiv, auch mithilfe seines Neffen. Das Baumhaus selbst ist eine kleine Oase und gut ausgestattet: Dusche, Toilette, WLAN, Strom – und die Aussicht Richtung Dschungel ist sehr schön. Was ich jedoch nicht erwartete: Es liegt umgeben von mit Hühner-, Schweineställen und Kühen, die einsehbar waren. Die schlechten Verhältnisse der Tierhaltung (Hühner in kleinen Kisten, Kühen, die mit kaum Bewegungsfreiheit angebunden sind) kann für Personen, die gegenüber Tierleid und Tierwohl sensibel sind belastend sein, so auch für mich. Ebenso wird es durch die Hunde und Hühner nachts SEHR laut. Eine echte „Jungle Experience“ kam nicht auf. Es wirkte als sei das Baumhaus an eine freie Stelle inmitten von den Höfen errichtet worden.

Putu & His family are extremely welcoming and very helpful. For me this was slightly out of my comfort zone as I have never stayed somewhere so ‘outdoors’. But it was a completely unique experience and the house is so cute! It can be very noisy at night with the wildlife/cockerels/dogs etc. The location is also quite far away from anything so can become quite boring in the daytime so I would suggest to make plans to visit any tourist attractions (Mount Batur Sunrise Trek was great!) Overall it was a lovely stay and I felt very safe staying with Putu & Family, they helped us loads by picking us up from our previous stay and also taking us to the Harbour for our following trip. Thankyou so much again was lovely to meet you!

Belle famille, une belle rencontre. Joli lieu au milieu de la jungle. Rue passante en desdous dès très tôt le matin. Mais a voir et different du reste de l'ile.

Cabane en bambou comme décrit dans l’annonce, cela est une belle expérience dans la nature. Un temple et deux cascades visitées dans le coin. Putu et sa famille sont des personnes très gentilles, toujours à l’écoute et généreuses. La cuisine du warung est très bonne. Nous les remercions pour ce beau séjour :)

We had a nice stay at Putu's. The bamboo house has an amazing view. At night you can hear all the jungle noises. It's relaxing place and there is a lot of places to visit around and see the real Bali.

Nous avons passé une nuitée complètement dépaysante! Un peu perdu à notre arrivée car on est (vraiment) au milieu de la jungle, mais la terrasse et les bruits de la forêt nous on vite apaisé ! Les parents de Putu ne parle pas anglais mais sont très chaleureux, nous y avons bien mangé.

kind family who are quick to accommodate. humble lodging about 10 meters from nearest road and within a half hour of some popular tourist attractions.

Putu and his family are great hosts and made us feel welcome from the very first moment we arrived. As we recently stayed in a Jungle house on Hawaii that really wasn't great, we weren't really looking forward to staying at Putus place, but once we entered the house we really were nicely surprised. The house is beautiful and made entirerly out of Bamboo. It has nice big windows through which we ebjoyed the awesome look into the jungle and still was close to the main attractions in and around Ubud. We rented a scootee from Putu that we used to get around and it was such a great time we had there. Putu also gave us really good advice in Waterfalls and Temples to see. We can definatelly recommend staying at his place and would surely book again if we come back to Bali.

It is a nice place to stay, scenic, good food and enjoy the views and climate

Putu's place is in a very nice location. It is however not quite in the jungle, there is a road going underneath the property and the main road is close by as well. There are two huts. The upper one has the better view. The huts are nice and simple, all made of bamboo. There is a nice area to sit outside as well. However, there is no bathroom facility inside, so you need to leave your room and walk up a steep staircase with quite large steps to climb to get to the communal toilet/shower and the warung. Not very convenient if you need to go a lot at night. Putu was very helpful and friendly. His mom makes some awesome food. His dad took me on the motorbike through the kampung which was nice. I left early because I could not handle those steps. Having had two small meals only and two little bottles of water, they charged me Rp 100.000 which I thought was very pricey for a warung in the middle of nowhere. Putu arranged a taxi for me but the taxi driver was very rude and angry. This was however not Putu's fault. I did communicate with him and told him he should not use this driver again.

One of the most beautiful corners to stay in Bali and a good family that will take good care of you :) Anyways be aware of always according price with local guides in Bali.

We spent 3 days in one of Putu's bamboo houses. We wanted to escape and just reset for a few days and this was exactly what we got. Extremely close with nature, local people and culture. Putu and his family are super nice, helpful and friendly. It's very close to a lot of great sights and on top of that you can rent scooter directly from Putu (save time and money). Very nice food, and amazing fruits every day from their own garden. You can also drink their own coffee and chocolate. No problem arranging pick up and drop off from and to your next accommodation or airport. Great location, not many tourists. Don't expect 5 star hotel cleanliness and facilities. We would definitely do it again. Great way to escape from our busy city based lives.

good to experience real tree house in forest but not to stay long and see the places because its too far from the places

Die Familie von Putu ist wirklich sehr nett und gastfreundlich! Sie sind derzeit gerade noch ein zusätzliches Bamboo House Zimmer am bauen. Die Zimmer sind einfach, die Dusche/WC ist separat und die Aussicht in den Dschungel genial. Da es höher als Ubud gelegen ist, ist es kühler und aufgrund der Feuchtigkeit leben halt viele Tiere/Insekten in der Nähe. Da das Zimmer nicht komplett dicht ist, kommen kleine Tiere hinein und man hört den Dschungel nachts. Was ein richtiges Abenteuer für uns Europäer ist. ;)

Staying in the treehouse is certainly an exotic experience! Make sure to bring bug spray - you are in the jungle and will need it! The treehouse offers a taste of the true Balinese lifestyle and feels particularly remote. Sitting on the deck and watching the fog roll in and out of the valley was peaceful and surreal. We read and did crosswords before turning in early each night - the perfect relaxation for us! Our host, Putu, took us around to the temple and to a beautiful (and un-crowded) waterfall during the day. Having him with us really made these trips enjoyable! He is a great conversationalist and friend to his guests.

We loved our stay at the bamboo house! Breathtaking views. Clean. Free coffee, tea and breakfast. Easy and affordable to order food from their warung. Mini fridge and kettle provided. Wifi worked well. Warm water from the bamboo shower. Very friendly and helpful owners. We highly recommend staying here ♡

What an incredible place. Spent my lasts nights in Bali here and I’m so glad I did. It was the highlight of my trip. I felt secluded, sitting right on the edge of the jungle, but Komang (Putu’s nephew) made me feel very welcomed within the local community. In addition to the gorgeous treehouse and stunning view, he took care of everything I needed! He took me to some beautiful waterfalls and even held my bag as we walked so I could better enjoy myself. He also took a bunch of pictures of me since I was solo traveling- memories I otherwise wouldn’t have gotten to capture! 10/10. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

I personally don't write reviews for an airbnb but staying at putu's place was a whole new experience. It is outside of the main cities of Bali and gives a really calm and nature-friendly atmostphere. Also, the people were very kind and helpful and gave a really decent local experience. I wish to come back to the place when I return to Bali!

Mycket vacker plats, huset är helt otroligt. Utsikt över djungeln och helt privat. Putu och hans brorson tog hand om mig på ett mycket vänligt och respektfullt sätt. Stor frukost som ingick och maten var helt utsökt. Överlägset det bästa boendet under min tid i Bali. Rekommenderas starkt!

Die Unterkunft ist einfach der Hammer! Man erhählt einen sensationellen Blick in den Dschungel, welcher uns fast schon unreal vorkam. Perfekt für alle die Natur lieben und im Einklang mit ihr leben wollen. Keine verstecken Hacken oder irgendwelche Überraschungen. Darüber hinaus waren Putu und sein Neffe Komang äußerst hilfsbereit und wir haben durch Putu sensationelle Orte gesehen. Ich werde diese Unterkunft wieder buchen und habe Sie auch schon weiterempfohlen. Putu ist ein ausgezeichneter Gastgeber!

One of the best stays during my Bali trip. The place gives you the experience of being in nature with full privacy but at the same time Putu and his team are just a call away for any help.

This was simply dreamy ! We couldn’t have wished for a better stay. Right in the middle of the jungle, so peaceful and quiet, the room is super cozy, perfectly furnished, and the host was so nice and helpful at every moment. If I’ll ever come back to Bali, this will be a must stop!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in Putus Bambushaus. Die Aussicht auf den Dschungel ist wirklich spektakulär und die Geräuschkulisse sehr entspannend. Wir konnten verschiedene Tiere beobachten, unter anderem Glühwürmchen. Mit Mücken etc. hatten wir gar keine Probleme. Das Haus liegt etwas abgeschieden, sodass wir viel Privatsphäre hatten. Putu und seine Familie waren leicht zu erreichen, sehr hilfsbereit und bei Bedarf schnell vor Ort. Wir konnten über Putu sehr günstig einen Roller ausleihen, bekamen Essen ins Baumhaus gebracht und einen Fahrer für unsere Abreise organisiert. Insgesamt eine einzigartige Erfahrung, die ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen würde!

Decir perfecto es decir poco. Desde que llegamos el sobrino de Putu nos acogió con gran amabilidad y nos enseñó toda la zona. El alojamiento se encuentra impecable y en un entorno fantástico, dentro de la selva donde te puedes relajar desde el primer momento. Putu se encuentra siempre disponible y nos reservo unos masajes balinés donde una chica muy profesional se acerco al alojamiento. Para cenar, nos trajeron la comida casera. Lo mismo para desayunar, donde pudimos disfrutar de un excelente desayuno a primera hora. Es un excelente lugar para poder relajarte y poder disfrutar de la tranquilidad y los sonidos de la selva. Volvería a repetir sin dudarlo :)

Nous avons passé un séjour chez Putu conforme à ce que nous attendions : un dépaysement total dans sa bamboo house, au cœur de la jungle de Bali. Putu est un hôte très accommodant, il nous a fait faire le tour du village, cet endroit est loin du tourisme de masse si vous cherchez un expérience plus atypique. Cependant, il est important de noter que les dîner/déjeuners seront facturés. Ainsi, que les activités que l’hôte vous propose alors qu’à aucunes moments il ne parle de prix ou le mentionne lorsqu’il vous le propose. Nous vous conseillons 1 nuit, car vous êtes dépendants de Putu comme la région reste assez enclavée de toutes activités.

Es war wunderschön! 😍 das Bambushaus ist ein Traum :) komplett abgelegen bietet es alles was man braucht. Besonders toll ist das Outdoor-Badezimmer! Ich habe es geliebt, dort zu duschen. Ich war alleine vor Ort und auch als ich abends Geräusche hörte, beruhigte mich Putu per Nachrichten, sodass ich einen entspannten Schlaf hatte. Die Matratze ist soooo gemütlich! Ich habe die Unterkunft direkt Freunden empfohlen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen :) Danke für deine Gastfreundlichkeit - es war wunderbar! 😍

Absolutely amazing stay at the bamboo treehouse, a real hidden gem in Bali. If you get the opportunity to stay here definitely do. Putu and his nephew Komang were very kind and attentive to us, delivering us breakfast and dinner every day of our stay. Putu took us out both days and showed us around his village and gave us insight into the local culture, which we hadn’t seen yet in Bali. He also took us to local restaurants. The treehouse was beautiful in peaceful surroundings and we listened to the jungle every night. Of all our travels around south east Asia this has been one of our favourite stays. It really was special and we can’t thank Putu and Komang enough for their generosity and kindness.

Abbiamo dormito due notti nella casa di Putu, la casa è stupenda, si è immersi nella giungla ed è un paradiso. L’host è super disponibile e presente in tutto e per tutto, ha reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole.

Putu and his family were very heartwarming and always there for any questions or support. The bamboo tree house is beautiful and unique and very well taken care of. The private bathroom is open and has a view into the nature. At the night there are many sounds of several animals that can be heard - the wild animals as well as the chicken farms nearby. To discover the area we could rent a scooter from Putus family and loved to get to know the nearby villages and nature. Thanks to Putu and his family for everything!

Putu的房子實在太讓我覺得驚艷，而且非常舒適乾淨！！就算只是窩在懶人椅上聽著蟲鳴鳥叫、看著外面的樹林景色就感到非常幸福。 雖然如果遇到天氣不佳大風大雨時，會稍微有點害怕，但身處大自然不就是這樣嗎！😂 非常謝謝Putu貼心的從烏布市區來回接送，他的家人兼員工Komang更是最棒最貼心的陪同者，載著我去超商採買東西，帶我認識他們的村落，因為來的時間剛好是寧靜日前一天，還全程帶著我去參加他們村落的Ogoh-Ogoh遊行，並解說由來及歷史，村莊的居民也都非常友好友善的與我互動！ 兩天時間真的過得很快，非常捨不得收拾行李離開，未來來bali時必定是我會回來的住所。♡

I had an amazing stay at Putu’s bamboo house. I had just finished a 10 day vipassana course at Dhamma Geha close by and this was the perfect place to unwind and slowly emerge back into the world. The place is really lovely, the view is incredible and you feel like you’re alone in nature while feeling incredibly safe and at peace. There’s no light pollution so you can see the stars really well and night, and the sunset as well! The open bathroom and free breakfast were a big plus!! I was in contact with Putu’s nephew who was really friendly and responsive whenever I had a question, and who brought me food directly to the room. Thank you again for this amazing experience, I will definitely come back again!!

We booked the wonderful tree house for two nights. It was exactly how you would imagine a stay in the middle of the jungle and we loved it. There is only one house there, so you have complete privacy. If you want to explore the area, a scooter is recommended, which you can also book through putu. Anyone who has a problem with noise should be aware that the jungle doesn't sleep at night and consider wearing earplugs. We can recommend the accommodation and would like to thank Putu and his friendly nephew! 🌴🪴🌱🛖🌴🪴⛰🌴

That was my second stay at Putus bamboo houses. I did silent retreat meditation Vipassana and decided to stay at the treehouse before and after to slow down and come back to reality. The place is perfect for observing the nature : I’ve seen a unique green lizard, some peculiar birds and friendly cows that are not far from the house . Also if you’re struggle with FOMO: that’s the perfect place to finish reading unfinished books and meditate in peace. In the morning you get delicious breakfast any time you want and if you want to come out for change - there’s a nice eating next to the waterfall where the history can bring you. The place is very clean and newly built, you have total privacy and 360 view with the open space to watch the sunset. One of my best stays in life, I’ve fulfilled my dream staying in a place like that. Oh yeah and one of the days Putu and his nephew Komang taught me how to make an offering . Highly recommend this place !

The Bamboo House was really a very special time for me. Experiencing nature is literally tangible from a very comfortable, fresh-smelling bed. In general, everything is extremely clean and well-maintained, which further increases your well-being. In addition, the host family is very lovely and always there if you need anything or want to experience something. For example, affordable tours are organized to the waterfall or a local bee farm where you can purchase products. You can also get meals of your choice delivered to the steps for a small additional fee from a very, very good local warung. Thanks for the good time!

Amazing nature escape spot! Simple, but has everything you need, we spent 2 nights and 3 days there with our dog. The small amenities and the open style private bathroom was definitely an experience! we absolutely loved it and will most definitely be going back! highly recommend for people who like the slight camping vibe, more like private glamping with an insane view!!

Beautiful place in nature. Far away from touristic areas which made our Bali experience in Susut very authentic. Located next to lots of Coffee Plantations, temples and waterfalls. Best about the place is the very warm welcoming family which cares so much about the wellbeing and comfort of the guests and give you a lovely introduction to Balinese tradition.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en leur compagnie ! Toutefois, ramenez une crème antimoustique car c'est ici qu'on a eu le plus de piqûre 😅 on les a bien regalé ! Le petit déjeuner est vraiment super ! Des fruits et unes spécialité balinaise chaque jour ! Les parents sont super adorable ! Seul point négatif à relevé tout de même, pas de vis à vis pour la douche/wc. Heuresement qu'il y a la forêt, donc, pas de passage, mais pour plus de sécurité, j'ai quand même du me doucher en maillot. Autrement, je recommende ! 😁

We had a really great stay Putu’s! They were happy to make us great vegan food too! The only thing we didn’t like was that the bamboo house is right next to the restaurant and it seemed from the photos like it was more secluded. It ended up being totally fine, but we were a little surprised when we arrived. All good though, we had a lovely stay!

Putu’s Treehouse felt like an authentic Balinese experience. From the home cooking done by his mother, who was an absolute gem. To the outdoor shower and open concept bedroom. I absolutely loved my stay here.

This is so much more than just a cool place to stay, it is an experience. The owner (also the guy who build everything by hand) and his family were the nicest people I’ve met during my stay here in Bali. The place is beyond incredible and adventurous, it truly makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle and the people make you feel like you are at home. Wifi and food were great. The room is not luxurious at all but what do you expect if your booking a hand build- bamboo hut. Me and my friend had an amazing time here. Thank you!

One amazing experience we will never forget! Suksma Putu! Falling asleep only with the sound of birds and the light of the stars. The bamboo house is located in the middle of the jungle, you wake up and you see palms, banana trees, coconut trees and many other tropical plants. If you are a nature lover and want to relax and get away, then Putu‘s semi-open-air bamboo house is the ideal place for you! There is a huge mosquito net covering the whole area over and round the bed, making the sleep in the bamboo house an even more unique experience! Putu was a great host, super friendly, kind and extremely helpful. He took us to really non touristic places as we wished: to a beautiful temple and to a cool waterfall which you can definitely not compare with tegenungan waterfalls which were to our disappointment completely commercialized! He also took us to a coffee plantation nearby and to his cousin’s jewellery workshop where I could buy unique handmade jewel for a really really good price. Moreover close to his place there is mount Batur, a volcano you can climb up at around 4am and can enjoy seeing the sunrise over the volcano and the ocean! Putu was so helpful to organize the tour for us for a price we wouldn’t have never gotten anywhere else. Unfortunately we were only 1,5 days there so we didn’t get to do all the stuff Putu wanted to show us! So maybe plan at least two to three full days there. Putu’s mother and father were the kindest persons ever, they made us home made coffee, cacao, tea and juices. Tip: You have to try the anana juice, best anana juice we’ ve ever had! Putu’s mother cooked us traditional Balinese meals, mostly with ingredients from her garden. Putu was always telling us many stories about the Balinese culture and way of live! A really authentic Balinese experience! We will definitely come back!

Had a wonderful stay at Putu's. We only were passing through, but felt we completely scored! Putu's family was very warm and welcoming, and his mother is a fantastic cook. Putu took us around to see waterfalls and drove us to our next stop in Canggu for a great price. It was such a fun day! Such a cool spot to stay. Definitely worth the price!

Staying at Putu’s place was absolutely amazing! We have never met a family so friendly and sweet anywhere in the world! Chef Kadek (Putu’s mother) cooks amazing traditional Balinese food and we can honestly say we have not eaten better anywhere in the whole of Bali, not even in the “proper” restaurants. 10/10!!! Putu is also an amazing tourguide, he showed us the best spots around and had great stories and explainations about all the sights. We ended up staying an extra night because we liked it so much. Definitely the best place to stay if you want to get away from all the touristy hotels and resorts, we will be back for sure!

Здесь нет удобств к которым вы привыкли в отелях, но за этим не нужно сюда ехать. Учтите, что это реальные джунгли и ночью вас ждут звуки всевозможные) мы жили в нижнем домике и было страшновато) В целом мы благодарны за такой приём и советуем к посещению!

My daughter and my 15 year old granddaughter daughter stayed here recently for 5 days, and this was their first visit to Bali. We absolutely loved and valued every aspect of our stay with Putu, and his parents, Kadek and Wayan. They made us feel like we were part of the family and we gained a real sense of Balinese life. Nothing is too much trouble, and staying in the lovely bamboo huts really gave us a wonderful sense of Bali life, the Balinese wilderness, and village life. Putu has so many great ideas of local things to do, such as swimming in beautiful waterfalls that aren’t the usual tourist spots. Kadek constantly fed us delicious Indonesian meals, coffee and teas, lovingly doled out massages and hugs. One of our favourite things we did was a scooter ride through the village. Plus so many more fun adventures: seeing monkeys, going to the local market with Putu as our guide, sitting with Kadek and eating her friend’s delicious gadogado, walking to the nearby coffee plantation and sampling all the different kinds, seeing the rice fields, seeing the Barong dance. Waking up to see a little squirrel run across a branch, showering in the outdoors during a thunderstorm in the rainforest. Seeing the gorgeous dog Mystery who slept by our door each day, and excitedly greeted us when we came back from somewhere - and so many more wonderful experiences, I cannot even list them all. This was such a great trip, that felt more like a home stay than anything else - and my daughter and I will never forget our time here. We will definitely be back, many more times, and we already miss our new friends. This is the real Bali, and I feel so grateful that we were able to discover this and have an insight into Bali life beyond what tourists would normally see. Thank you, Putu, Kadek and Wayan!

E swar einer der schönsten, einfachen Urlaube, die wir jemals gemacht haben. Gastfreundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und Flexibilität waren nicht zu übertreffen. Die Hütten sind einfach aber sauber und ordentlich. Zum Abschalten genau das Richtige ! Noch näher kann man vermutlich nicht an der Natur sein. Immer wieder gerne, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

If you want something off the beaten track with a great host, this is it. Both Putu and his family are awesome hosts, we feel like we got a real taste of Balinese hospitality!

Outstanding hospitality, food was delicious, 20 away from waterfalls and local temple. This is a bamboo house on a cliff built by the father. Bathroom outside. Its nature so theres insects, but all is very clean and theres a net around the bed. If you want a more local friendly and authentic experience, this is it.

This is a great stay! Putu and his mom made me feel so welcomed! I wasn’t feeling well during my stay because I was dehydrated, but Putu and his family did everything they could to make sure I was still able to enjoy my vacation. Putu has excellent local tips - if you are looking for something to do, just ask him and he’ll help you plan the perfect day.

This is such a cool treehouse!! It really is made entirely of bamboo, and such a neat experience. It is similar to camping, in the way that the walls are not fully closed off, but there is a bug net over the bed (there were a lot of bugs while we were there as rainy season had begun). You can hear the sounds of the jungle at night. We loved spending time on the porch where there is a low table and comfortable cushions. It's a very relaxing, peaceful place. But the highlight of the experience was the hospitality of Putu and his family!!! I have never been so warmly welcomed and cared for by strangers. They made us fresh hot cocoa from their cocoa trees (SO delicious), fixed us breakfast and snacks, and we shared lots of laughs. They are so wonderful. We purchased dinner at their attached restaurant and also rented a scooter to see some nearby temples. And Putu helped arrange our Mt Batur sunrise trekk & transfers. If you enjoy nature, you will really really love this special experience!!

This is an amazing experience! Putu and his parents were beyond helpful and accommodating. Including helping us out when my husband had to go to a clinic during our stay. (Which cost $28 USD for the visit and we were in and out in 20 minutes. Amazing!)

Amazing atmosphere and time during our first 2 days in Bali. Putu and his family are the kind and verryyy sweet people. I always remember the first breakfast that Putu's mom prepare for us: the rice and salad in Balinese style. And I love the Balinese tea also!!!! Our flight was delayed 3 hours but Putu was so patient and waited for us until 1AM at the airport. Thanks Putu. I will come back again because Bali is soooo big and much things to see. <3

We just loved staying there! So quiet and relaxing. Putu’ mom and dad were so friendly and helpful. Mom took care of our sunburn. Made us tea and snack when we came. Dad fixed our skuuter’s mirror. Just wow. Putu organized for us a Volcano hiking which was so good. In the morning they made us Balinese local food. Recommend Putu’s place 100%. 😊

Eine sehr tolle und außergewöhnliche Unterkunft. Wer das richtige Bali mit erleben will ist hier genau richtig . Dieser Ort ist nicht sehr touristisch, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Putu hat uns aus Ubud abgeholt und uns zum Baumhaus gebracht . Dort angekommen wurden wir sehr herzlich von seine Eltern begrüßt. Einige Nächte dort zu verbringen ist ein Highlight, die Atmosphäre , der balinesische Charm und das Gefühl dazu zu gehören ist einfach toll. Wir haben uns von Putu ein Scooter ausgeliehen und damit Wasserfälle & die Gegend um den Vulkan erkundet. In der Gegend gibt es auch einige Kaffeeplantagen . Vielen Dank für alles ! Check in , Wifi und alles andere hat super funktioniert .

Putu i jego rodzina są bardzo życzliwymi i goscinnymi ludźmi. Po przyjeździe poczestowali nas pyszną kolacją a następnego dnia śniadaniem i przepysznym lunchem. We had the best time with Putu and his family. They are the kindest and nicest hosts we could have wished for! Our stay at the tree house was very relaxing and we had the best nasi goreng for dinner. Putu picked us up from our guest house in Ubud and took us to visit the water temple and a coffee plantation before reaching home including stopping a couple of times to try local delicacies. He paid so much attention and made sure we truly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at the Bamboo house was truly a unique Balinese experience! The room itself is basic and relatively open to nature, but we personally didn't have any issues or complaints. The best thing about this place is the experience and getting to know Putu and his family. Putu's mom, Kadek, was so kind and hospitable to us and made us feel a part of the family. She made us meals from her restaurant and it was our favorite nasi goreng we had our whole trip! Putu also took us around for the day helping us find the best spots for our interests. We highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a true Balinese experience.

We been here for 2 days and it was just wonderful. The welcoming was better than perfect. Our bamboo house was clean and tidy and perfect for a few days of rest. We stayed 3 nights at Putu’s bamboo house and it was amazing! Putu and his family are the most kind and generous people you could ever hope to meet. Putu took us out to 2 beautiful local waterfalls and a really old temple and we had a fabulous time. His mother, Kadek, is the sweetest lady and her food is amazing - the best Nasi goreng we’ve had! The whole experience was fantastic - the bamboo house is such a unique experience, stunning jungle views and very relaxing. Private bathroom with hot shower & good WiFi. We spent 2 of our days just relaxing and reading on the balcony. We would definitely stay here again and recommend anybody to stay here. This place is just magical. The view from the bamboo hut and the dungel sound at night is unbelievable, but there is much more. This Family is so lovely, open-hearted and adorable! We just became part of them. Kadek and Wayan constantly cared about us and gave us more food and fruits out of their garden we could ever eat in our 3-day-Stay. Also the food and the teas (espacially Padan-tea) was just awesome. We had the honour to stay here during Kuningan. After outfitting us with sarongs and hats for the men they even took us to the Kuningang ceremony, showed us the temples and the rituals as beeing part of their family. We will never forget this. When we had to say farewell, everybody was in true tears. These guys are real treasures. What a wonderful and unique experience! Thank you so much.

Putu’s place is really beautiful! His dad built it himself and it’s amazing. It’s a little bit hidden, but at a quiet & peaceful place. You wake up with the sound of jungle animals and an amazing view. Putu’s mom and dad are the most sweetest persons, I really recommend staying here!!! Putu even brought us to our next stay, which was also sweet. We enjoyed it, unfortunately it was only for 1 night (only 3 weeks in Bali) but we would really go back there. Just go, and enjoy!!! :)

Amazing and authentic! Putu and his family did everything to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. A wonderful family that radiate happiness. The place is so connected with nature with a view on the jungle. The only downside is that there is quite a busy road just a little distance below the hut. It was a very nice place to stay! you get a lot of fresh fruits to eat. but please make sure that you have warm clothes to sleep in with you. Putu is a really nice guy, his english is perfect and his family is warm hearted. All in all it was a great experience for us!

Such an amazing place to be. Putu and his parents are great. Everything felt just like we were part of there family. The hospitality, the bamboo cabin, the food, the fresh juices right out of there garden, Mistery the good boy... All leave such a pleasure in our hearts. Me and my boyfriend got the nature very close and that was amazing and at the sametime a bit exicting aswell. Putu and his family was so kind and made dinner for us in the morning and also in the evening, that was delicous. In the daytime we went out on our one on a scooter. We highly recomend this place, if you like to be in the nature whith all the sounds from it. It will be something special to remember! We almost felt like Tarzan & Jane P.s we stayed there for 2 nights and that was perfect for us.

Great place to stay in the heart of the forest. Cosy little treehouse with a lovely family who made us feel extremely welcome from the minute we arrived. Putu's place was absolutely incredible and photos simply don't do it justice. The view from the room is amazing, but what's more amazing was Putu and his family's hospitality. His parents cooked us dinner and breakfast every day and Putu and his friend even took hours out of their day to show us around the area. Putu's place is the most magical and beautiful place on Earth. The natural rainforest is absolutely stunning and peaceful. Putu, and his father Wayan and mother Kadek, provided the best travel experience I have ever had. He organised transport and food when needed and taught us so much about Balinese culture. This is place one of the most exciting places I've stayed. The treehouse is really wonderful and an ideal place just to hang out and relax and escape from all the busy parts of Bali. I really loved just to listen to the sounds around me. You can also do a lot of sightseeing nearby with a drive or by yourself with a scooter. Putu's mum is a great chef and you should definitely try her food. I would Indians come back and stay even longer if I could.

Ontzettende lieve mensen, die alles doen om het naar je zin te maken. Het verblijf in de boomhut is wat primitief maar een unieke ervaring zowel qua natuur als qua contact met echte balinese locale mensen. Wij raden iedereen aan hier 1 of meerdere nachten te verblijven. Prachtige omgeving.

Putu and his happy family their hospitality is more than great. We had a great cabin with a nice bed and own terrace and bathroom. His mother made the best nasi goreng we have had so far and Putu took the time to tell us about a lot of traditional Balinese things. Next to that he even took us to some places of our interest what took him time too. We could not have asked for more. If you are looking for the real Balinese experience, go and visit Putu and his supernice family.

We had the most incredible stay at Putu's family home. The accommodation is a stunning bamboo house on stilts, overlooking the jungle. From the moment we got there they welcomed us with open arms, and showed us the local area on mopeds, they brought us all these incredible fruits, plants, and teas. They cooked us the most delicious and thoughtful dinners. And the breakfasts! Unreal. I wont describe then because theyre such a tasty surprise! It's amazing to sit out at night having dinner up at the main house and then going down to your little bamboo home to chill and read under the stars. Their doggie Mystery, is the cutest happiest creature. She made our stay even better, always greeting us with such enthusiasm. Thank you so much Putu and family. What an incredible experience. P.s. the first night you will have to get used to the noises of the jungle. Theres a few geckos, insects etc making noises, but nothing to take any notice of. After you get used to the extra noises it's so glorious sleeping out in it. I miss it already.

Everything was perfect. Putu and his family/friends were extremely helpful and thoughtful. And we learned some Indonesian/ Balinese language from them also. (ﾉ≧ڡ≦) they cook authentic Indonesian food and Putu’s farm was pretty cool (≖ᴗ≖✿)you can find almost all the local fruits from there~ During my period of stay I got attacked by a durian fallen from the tree （๑♜д♜）when I was chatting with someone else in the street ( so please keep a distance from the duration tree everyone) and thanks to his parents’s kindness I could be recovered soon. ʕ　·ᴥ·ʔ Definitely recommended to anyone who wanna have an authentic Balinese experience ~~

I just keep coming back to Putu’s Bamboo House, and I have already booked my next visit! As always the best and most authentic Bali experience!

If you’re looking for an authentic Balinese adventure this is the place for you. Of all 6 Airbnb’s we stayed at in Bali and Lombok, Putu was the most involved host. He took us to more interesting places in one day than we saw on average in three. We went to a coffee plantation and saw how local coffee is made with free tastings, then went to a water temple, an epic waterfall with the best warung nearby, and even hot springs by a mountain. Putu and his friend Aled rode us both around all day on motorbike for only 200,000 rp which was a bargain. Also, you arrive feeling like apart of the family. Putu’s mom makes delicious meals and we left with a bag of passionfruit from her garden. The bamboo house is stunning as it is in the middle of the jungle entirely secluded from the tourist trail. However, due to this as expected there are some bugs, but Putu’s dad happily scared them away for us. Once experiencing Ubud’s army of tourists we realized how truly special this place is.

If you want to stay a night in the jungle, this wooden house is the place to be. Putu and his entire family are truely great hosts, for dinner and breakfast we got traditional Balinese food which was delicious. I can only recommend this place!

Putu and his Family were so very nice and warm, we felt really good and welcomed! The bamboo hut is located in a beautiful farm with fruits, coffee beans and cacao growing all surrounded by lush green jungle. The hut is simple and nice, cozy balcony and hot water in the outside shower. It gets coldish at night so bring something long! The only downside for us was that the wifi was quite bad but that's also nice sometimes:)

Wow! I’ve been to a few Airbnb’s before but this one was something else. Putu’s place is in the middle of the wilderness - surrounded by nature and beauty. His family is also super kind. they made us this amazing local coffee every morning served alongside Balinese treats. If you want a local experience, away for the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place for you. It is also 10 minutes away from Mount Batur if you’re into Trekking. Thank you again, Putu, for an amazing stay. I hope to be back in your sanctuary.

Amazing!!! Putu and his family were so thoughtful and helpful. Truly one of my favorite Airbnb’s. Their garden with many fruits that you can pick from was beautiful. This little gem is tucked away in a forest, came here after being in Ubud for 2 weeks and it was just what I needed. Short drive to Mount Batur! But again, I can’t get over how beautiful the treehouse is and how beautiful the family was to me. If I ever come back to Bali I will definitely go back to this Airbnb!

This place was amazing! The views are gorgeous and it is a nice retreat away from the busy city. Putu and his whole family were so welcoming and they really made me feel at home for my stay there. This room is very simple and the structure is all in bamboo, build by Putu and his father. If you love nature, tranquility and a place to discover yourself, I surely recommend putu’s place. There are nice surroundings and small villages to discover only just walking around! Here you can find the most kind-hearted people of all island. After two months in Bali, I can say that in this family you can really find the real Balinese hospitality. Thank you again for all the lemongrass tea I drank, the sweet rice, the bike tour during the celebration and the final transport. Forget Ubud and the other tourist's trap, come here. I have just checked out from my third stay at Putu's Bamboo House. This stay was shorter than the others, only three nights, but I will be back again in two months. I keep returning because it is such a refreshing and relaxing break from my usual life. Don't hesitate to stay at Putu's, his family will go to every effort to make sure your visit is one of the most wonderful experiences of your life.

Putu's place gave me an unforgettable experience. The bamboo house we stayed had a great view of the forest. Very relaxing after having been to extremely touristy Ubud. The town is small but it has a mart around and a local night food market nearby. You need a transportation to get around and Putu can arrange for you. Because it's in the middle of the nature it's more like camping than staying at hotel. It's definitely colder up here and can rain more frequently than beach areas in Bali. Expect many mosquitoes but Putu put lots of incense around the house which helps. Overall it was an amazing stay. Putu was incredible to help us in every way. Also Putu's mom is an excellent cook. We ate in many times and every dish was delicious. And she's funny! We're taken care of so well that we will be back definitely!

Putu is an amazing host - all your needs are taken care of, and it's all for a reasonable price. This bamboo house is really a perfect retreat in the woods, as described, as long as you are happy to be over an hour away from the airport in Bali traffic. Putu's mum is a wonderful cook and her food is well priced, and the two little dogs at the property are quite friendly. We had a wonderful Valentine's Day here and Putu was also nice enough to show us his Hindu faith and take us for the once in a lifetime experience of participating in his local ceremony. We were very humbled by the experience and will be forever grateful. Would 10/10 recommend.

Skip Ubud. Stay at Putu's! I stayed two nights and then spent one night in Ubud. I should have spent all 3 nights at Putu's! Total emersion in nature and Balinese friendliness. You will not regret it.

This little room in the middle of Bali’s Rainforest is ideal for a real disconnection from civilization. The host Putu and his family are so nice and welcoming and it gives you a small taste of another way of life, which is very nice!

Putu and his family are great hosts, who made us delicious breakfasts and dinners whenever we were hungry, and who took us around to see all the things we wanted. We were able to visit water falls, rice terraces, temples, coffee farms and Ubud, all starting from his place. We also ate fresh fruits from the garden every day, which was amazing. Also, Mt. Batur is within reach from this place, but we didn’t pack the gear for that this time. The bamboo hut itself is amazing. It’s simple, but it’s got everything you need. It can get a bit chilly in the evenings, especially if it rains, so I would recommend bringing a sweater and maybe even pants. With that, though, the bamboo hut is a magical place to spend the evening. If you’re into yoga, I can’t imagine a better place to do that.

very nice place to stay, peacefull , good for kid also, they served really good food and offering alot of snack and food its hard to say no, my advice for othe customer make sure to ask first the price, if not you will surprise with the price they gave to you after check out :) , overall everything is awesome

This is a unique place in more than one respect. I got to live in a tree house and listen to birds and insects chant all night. I enjoyed getting to know Putu and his family and learn a thing or two about their culture. And I got to enjoy the absolutely amazing food they made! It really made my trip unforgettable.

This is a one of a kind experience, you can arrange everything with Putu, guiding, transportation, motorcycle rent. And he can tell a lot about the area and the Luwak cat! The Bamboo house has enough privacy. Nice shower and toilet, something you don’t expect in an area like this.

What can I say! Everything was perfect for my 6-night stay at the Bamboo House. Staying here is a wonderful experience and Putu, his family and friends (and Mystery the dog) go to every length to ensure you have the most fabulous time at this exotic jungle location. The week I stayed was a busy week for Putu’s family, and they invited me to join in with their family activities in a nearby town. I meet the whole extended family, spent time with them at a private family temple ceremony and experienced actual, authentic life within their Balinese family. The home cooked food, coffee, and fruit from the garden are all delicious! Putu, his parents, and friends will arrange anything you need and help you get to sights near and far! As you will see from everyone else’s reviews, staying at the Bamboo House is an unbelievable experience. Halfway through my 6-night stay, I was already regretting that soon I would be leaving; so I booked another visit, I will be back again in less than a month!

Putu and his family were the most warm and welcoming Airbnb hosts we have ever had. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. Putu's mum and dad were amazing cooks and their coconut coffee is to die for. The treehouse is peaceful and beautifully located. The new outdoor bathroom is great (particularly once you figure out how to use the hot shower). If you want a true Balinese experience, go to Putu and his family!

The accomodation exceeded our expectations. Even in the rain it is a cosy and serene place to stay. At night you will enjoy the jungle‘s symphony and may hear the adorable civets (from the Lowak coffee) running around at night. As for the hosts, Wayan, Kadek, Putu and Mystery (the dog) are good hosts with kind hearts. Meals (100,000 per person) are fantastic-highly recommended. The breakfast is included as are cups of coffee and cocoa, so you are getting value. We also recommend staying several nights here as it is close to many attractions (not just tourist sites!) We did not take a tour with Putu (we didn’t have time) but we would not hesitate to do so. He is knowledgeable and honest. Transport can also be arranged for a fair price and scooters available to rent for the day (50,000). No need to hesitate, book this gem before they become booked out!

Putus hut in the jungle is a extraordineary place and the view ist just priceless. It's nothing else than the stunning jungle in front of you and you even can see an eagle fly. The hut is clean, but toilet (there is no flush) and shower are very simple and there are many insects and bugs - that's nature! But be aware it's a bit like camping and you shouldn't be afraid of it. It's a bit a pity that you can hear the traffic from the street behind and not only the lovely sound of the jungle in front of you. You need a scooter or a taxe scooter - there is not a lot around in walking distance. Putu and his father are superfriendly and do everything for you, I felt a bit sick when I was there and they helped me a lot, gave me medication and brought me to the doctor. The food was real indonesia food (especially the breakfast, I ate things I never had before!) and very delicious.

Putu y su familia te abren completamente las puertas de su casa. Su mamá es un amor de persona. Además me cocinó una muy rica cena y el desayuno (q bien precio). Es un lugar sencillo, sin lujos pero, con todas las comodidades necesarias y el encanto de dormir en una cabaña de bambú. Tiene internet con un módem portátil, agua caliente con un generador para tu ducha, dos inodoros, mosquitera en cama, unas vistas impresionantes y relajantes, un perrito muy amigable y un acceso fácil. Un lugar perfecto para desconectar de la ciudad o del kaos turístico del sur. Su hospitalidad es inmejorable, un trato cercano y local. Tengo muchas ganas de volver y pasar 2-3 noches con amigas o familia. Me movía en moto y me recomendaron ir al lago Batur. A sus orillas está el templo más bonito que he visto en mi vida. (Lo bueno es llegar sobre las 17:30h para verlo de día y noche - 18:30h. *Recomiendo llevar linterna para poder llegar por el oscuro bosque.) El Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur. Hay zonas volcánicas que visitar y muchos arrozales cerca. MIL GRACIAS

We stayed for 3 nights at Putu’s place based on the amazing reviews, you absolutely have to stay here 2 or more nights to really get the full experience of the place. Putu and his family are incredibly generous and hospitable. Kadek, Putu’s mother is an amazing cook and we enjoyed a few different dishes whilst we were there. The Nasi Goreng is the best we had tasted and Kadek also made us some fried fish with Balinese sate sauce which was so delicious! Putu and his friend took us around on their mopeds to show us lots of local spots; a temple, coffee plantation, waterfall, hot spring and a traditional market. Nothing was ever too much to ask. The hot cacao from their own farm is very delicious, as well as the Luwak coffee & herbal teas. The view from the hut is beautiful and you get to fall asleep listening to the sounds of the jungle! If you want to have a real, authentic Balinese experience you must stay here. You will meet and spend time with a truly wonderful family! We had the best time, thank you Putu and family! :)

It exceeded my expectation. Reading the other reviews make me wondering if we stayed at the same place or not.the tree house is amazing, it's well equipped, we even have hot water. The food is delicious (maybe little pricey for what I was used to get but that's finally the Bali price). It's little noisy with the road but it didn't annoy me at all as one of the road totally shut down at night. The host are wonderful, very friendly and do all they can to make you enjoy your stay in Bali. Thanks to them I had the best experience ever. I'll recommend to everyone for a stay. They also rent scooter. And the one they rent me was so great. thanks for everything

Séjourner chez Putu et sa famille c’est découvrir un autre monde ! Loin de nos habitudes et de notre mode de vie. Loin de la frénésie d’Ubud et du sud de Bali. Dormir au milieu de la jungle, bercés par des centaines de bruits différents, goûter les spécialités incroyables de Kadek le papa de Putu, parcourir la région en scooter ou être invités à participer à une cérémonie dans le village voisin... ce séjour nous aura positivement bousculé. Attention comme cela a déjà été dit dans d’autres commentaires il faut savoir chambouler ses habitudes occidentales de confort, ici que l’essentiel : la nature et la gentillesse de Putu et sa famille que nous remercions encore.

This place is awesome. The hospitality of Putu and his family is just outstanding. We got such a warm welcome and tried al sorts of new fruits, got a nice hot cocoa and were directly taken on a nice trip on the back of the scooter to the holy water temple and the waterfall. The food Kadek cooks is also amazing! You should definitely stay at the place to try the food. We really want to come back to this place in the future.

Gleich nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit Tee, Kakao und Früchten aus dem eigenen Garte superherzlich von Putus Eltern willkommen geheißen. Die kleine Hütte ist wirklich wunderschön und der Ausblick vom Essbereich ist traumhaft. Die sanitären Anlagen sind noch etwas mangelhaft (es gibt keine Toilettenspülung und das Wasser wird nicht warm, was uns aber öfter in Indonesien passiert ist) aber die Gastfreundschaft und die tolle Lage machen das schnell wieder wett. Das Essen und der Kakao waren super lecker. Wir konnten uns einen Roller mieten und Putu hat uns sogar am Ende unseres Aufenthalts zu unserer Unterkunft in Ubud gebracht. Terima kasih!!

We came with the expectation to have a nice time in the jungle. However, what we got was much more! Beside experiencing how it is to stay in the Jungle, we also had the pleasure to eat delicious locally grown and home made food by Putu's family. Furthermore, Putu and his friends showed us the local highlights, including a waterfall and a beautiful temple. With the extra explanation of Putu all these locations got another dimension. All in all we can say we had our best stay in Bali at Putu's place!

This was such a wonderfull experience! The location was beautifull, but especially the hospitality was indescribable. The entire family was very warm, open and friendly! It was very special to notice that you were immediately admitted to the family. Putu’s mum cooked the most delicous food!! Putu gave us a nice tour on the scooter and drove us all the way to Pemuteran. We had special talks about life and after all we had a lot of fun! Thank you so much for everything!!

This was trully the highlight or our travel in Bali. The baboo house is cozy and really cool. But what was the best is the attitude of Putu and Putu’s family. Staying at Putu’s family’s Airbnb was the best decision I made on my trip to Bali. It is truly a magical place. The bamboo house is tucked away in the forest. It is so relaxing to sit on the porch and to fall asleep with the sounds of nature. Putu’s family is warm and generous, they filled me with joy. Putu and his family were great. We had a fantastic time, with great food, and would love to stay there again.

Great and authentic place, real Bali, a great break from the touristic madness. The views over the forest are stunning. On clear days you can see the Agung from the entrance. The area around Susut is beautiful, ideal to cruise around off the beaten track. Cepung waterfall near Bangli is close (30min) and worth the trip. The bamboo huts are simple, perfect for 2 persons. If you have kids there's just enough space for a small bed, for older kids it might be better to rent the second hut. Comfort is basic, be aware that it can get quite cold and humid at night. Nature is all around, we even saw a small Luwak. Just a pity that there's some noise from the street (but not much), otherwise you really feel like being in the jungle. We loved our stay with this warmhearted family ! Putu came over with his wife and son to great us us and gave us informations about the area. Kadek and Wayan, his parents cooked us nice meals, great coffees, hot chocolats and delicious teas all home grown. They showed us their garden and were happy to share their fruits with us. Kadek invited us to a ceremony and Wayan even fixed our car, which was a big help. Our kid loved their friendly dog Mystery. A great experience - not to miss ! Many thanks to Putu, Kadek and Wayan !

The bamboo house was really really unique. The view from the bamboo cottage is amazing. We arrived when Putu was not yet at home so we were welcomed by his mother and father, who are the most kind people I have met. They didn’t understand us and we didn’t understand them but somehow we were able to communicate nontheless. And they have tons of delicious passionfruit which they are more than happy to share! Putu organized scooters for us so we were able to explore the surroundings and the waterfall, and later he took us to a local ceremony, which was really an amazing experience.

We loved staying here!!! If they weren’t booked we would have stayed more nights! Putu and his family fed us for every single meal, treated us like family and spent the entire day driving us around on mopeds to waterfalls, temples, markets and showing us the incredible local life of Bali. The day we spent here was the happiest of our trip so far! Thank you Putu and family, we will never forget our time here!!

What can I say, Putu and his family are a joy to be around! They genuinely care about their guests and will always go the extra mile to make sure you are confortable and happy . Putu and his parents welcomed us into their home like if we were part of their family from the very first moment. Even though Putu’s parents don’t speak English, they were incredibly able to connect with us and to care so much. Putu took us to see the surrounding area and to amazing places, even to have a REAL Balinese massage! We can’t be more grateful for the care and love that we received from them. The bamboo hause itself its an extraordinary experience to connect with the nature. Important point: you need to be ready to stay in the middle of the jungle, no suitable for cheesy-corny people! Thank you Kadek, Wayan and Putu, you are so far the best people we have ever met!

Stay here! And stay more than one night. We unfortunately arrived late in the evening and left about 2pm the next day. If I could have a do-over, I would stay with Putu for at least 3 nights. He let’s you in (and tours you around town!) on all the local spots and secrets...and even rents out his motorbike for you for the day. His parents are beautiful also, so much fun and make great organic conversation. And his mama can COOK!!!! Waking up in the jungle is the cherry on top of a great stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Close to Ubud and many waterfalls as well as a couple temples and Mt Batur.

This place is amazing. The view is perfect. Close to Ubud by scooter. Lovely people owning the place. I have never experienced so much love from people I just met. Their English is not perfect but we had no problems with that anyway:)

This was by far the nicest Airbnb I’ve been in. Putu and his family are really great. They helped me with airport pick up and drop. They also had lots of great local suggestions. The place is really pretty and the food is amazing. If you stay in the lower cottage, it can get a little spooky in the night but it’s a fairly safe place. They also have hot water and WiFi now. The place is also well situated to do the treks and temples. It’s pretty close to Ubud too. Putu provides scooters if you want to roam around too. Putu’s mom Kadek is the best! Don’t forget to try the homemade teas and coffees.

I can’t recommend a stay with Putu and his family enough. You’re made to feel so welcome from the moment you arrive and then live among their Indonesian way of life and food. Putu went (a long way) out of his way to make sure I have everything I needed and to invite me to local celebrations to give me a full Balinese experience. I feel very lucky to have met them and to have the chance to fall asleep at night to the sounds of the jungle

Nous avons passer un séjour incroyable chez putu et sa famille, une rencontre inoubliable. Une cabane percher dans la jungle dans l'authentique bali, loin du bruit d'ubud et du sud, avec des gens adorables. Nous recommandons 1000 fois cet endroit, la nourriture est la meilleure que nous ayons trouver sur l'ile et une des moins chère. We stayed 3 nights at Putu. We have really enjoyed the location , the bamboo house , and all the time spent to discuss with Putu and his family. If you are searching a true and sincere experience of the Balinese culture, that s the place to be! You are close to the main attractions Tirta empul , Mount Batur sunrise trekking , waterfall and tegalalang rice terraces. Also Putu had picked us up at the airport and then arranged a muppet for our stay !! He will do everything to make ur stay easy . Then My wife and i have also very much appreciated to be away from the busy and noisy Ubud .. definitely recommend to stay 2-3 nights at least. Thanks again Putu !

This place was amazing. Putu and his family were very friendly and sweet. As soon as you walked in their door you were practically considered family. We had good conversations and they made good home cooked food (Nasi Goreng). The bungalow was very good as well. Cheap scooter rental was a major plus. We will be back next time for sure. Thanks

This is something incredibly special. Putu and his family make you feel like home. You can have a little taste of the real Balinese life, so if that’s what you are looking for then this is your place. The bamboo house talks for itself, super realexing, you stuck for hours on the balcony getting lost in stars. I have never seen so many before. Kadek Putu’s mum is the best shef ever. She always knows what you need and would make you feel better. You will be treated with the freshest fruits straingt for the garden. Passionfruit is number one!!! Plus Putu’s friends will be happy to take you around on scooter and show you some hidden jam of Bali. ( waterfalls, lovely little villages, hot spring, spots with the best view. I had an awesome time at this bamboo house, really enjoyed it and would fully recommend it!

Ich wurde sehr herzlich von Putus Mutter (Kadek) in Empfang genommen. Anschließend verbrachte ich drei wundervolle Nächte in einem Bambushaus, welches mit einem kleinen Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne ausgestattet war. Die Lage ist traumhaft für alle die ein bisschen Ruhe und Entspannung suchen. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut und traditionell. Putus Familie ist sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich.

Putu and his family welcomed us with incredible hospitality! We felt at home from the very begining. Warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts and breathtaking location - bamboo house with the jungle views all around is a perfect place for anyone who would like to get away from hustle and bustle of the city. We were treated as if we were part of the family, Putu even surprised us with the birthday cake for my boyfriend's b-day!:) Food was amazing too! We'll never forget the taste of nasi goreng and sate ayam on our first dinner or the luwak coffee :) Thank you Putu for this great experience, we'll surely be back one day! :)

Amazing place! Such beautiful views of the jungle in the family made bungalows! They shared their home with us and created such a welcoming environment. It was a great escape from the city and so peaceful and such a great experience to be out in nature. Very close to Mt. Batur and Holy Water Temple. They had a scooter available for us at check-in to use the entire time and cooked amazing meals and served freshly grown coffee. Really such a special experience and greatly recommend!!

La maison de putu est un ensemble de construction en bambou, au bord de la forêt, authentique, loin de l'agitation et des nombreux touristes de Ubud. Putu m'a également loué un scooter pour deux jours, à un très bon prix. Merci a Putu et ses parents pour cet accueil plein d'attention !

Prachtige plek, lieve familie en een mooie plek in een natuurlijke omgeving. Hier kom je helemaal tot rust en het bamboohuis is uniek om in te slapen en te chillen. Zonsopgang en zonsondergang zijn magnifiek om te bekijken vanuit je bamboohuis. Ik zeg wanneer je naar Bali komt, hier een overnachting zeker boeken!

True to the introduction “Bamboo house with incredible forest view,” the short stay was simply an out of the world experience for city people like us.. Daytime, take in the forest view and enjoy the fresh air and as the day gradually passes, feel the cool breezes and awaits the sunset.. By night, I would say stargazing is one of my most memorable experience, you would be amazed at the number of stars greeting you from the sky.. Putu’s parents Wayan and Kadek were great cohosts as well.. Great coffee and snacks and meals came at a very reasonable fee.. Check out the night market which is only a stone’s throw away for local eats and Tirta Empul which is only within a 10 mins drive.. It would make a great base for checking out Ubud Art Market, Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, Kintamani and etc. All in all, the place felt like a home away from home..

We instantly felt like part of the family due to the hospitality of putu and the family. The accommodation itself along with the location were also amazing. Thanks!

Spending two nights in the treehouse with an amazing view over the jungle and the incredible food from the garden (including selfmade Luwak-Coffee) was one of our best experiences on Bali. The views here are beyond incredible and the kindness of this family really made this experience fantastic! Everything we ate and drank were grown in the grounds of the property, the freshest fruit and coffee!!! Putu even took us to a local waterfall with little tourism and it was incredible. Again so kind and thoughtful, take even one day break from Ubud to just have a visit !!

Sehr schönes Haus komplett aus Bambus. Put und seine Familie waren stehts erreichbar und um das leibliche Wohl besorgt. Zudem gab er uns selbst eine Führung in der nach Nachbarschaft, zu den umliegenden Wasserfällen und Tempelanlagen. Jederzeit gerne wieder

We spent 2 nights here, as we wanted to spend some time away from the busy Ubud life (which was good to start off with!) and to retreat into nature and serenity. Puta and his family were lovely, welcoming and very attentive. The bamboo hut sits perched inbetween the trees overlooking the valley- mosquito net was all you needed as it cooled down in the evening so no AC was needed. It’s secluded and in the outskirts, and you can walk to the local plantations. We came to hike Batur, Putu arranged a shuttle and group for us to go with (just make sure you check what time you’re getting picked up as you wake up early!) the food prepared by Kadek was delicious and the best sate we’ve had this far on our trip to Bali! Wayak, Kadek were wonderful hosts. Putu was great, communicated quickly, and drove us to Besakih and to our ferry to Padangbai.

Staying at Putu’s bamboo house was an all around beautiful experience. I stayed with them for 3 nights and had the break I was looking for from the touristy, hot city life. I had the spacious bamboo terrace to myself to do yoga, meditate, read and write, all with this incredible nature view! Putu and his parents Kadek and Wayan made me feel very welcome. They did everything above expectation to make my stay enjoyable and shared their stories and culture with me. I also really appreciated the lovely organic, homemade food they provided, while respecting my food allergies and me being vegan! Try their delicious coffee or cacao from their garden! Yum! Putu also showed me around on his scooter, taking me to temples, holy waters and a stunning view of the volcano Mt. Batu! So enjoyed our tours! Come to get to know this special heart-warming place!!!

The warm welcoming of the family and the jungle around made our night here a good experience although you can not expect a five star hotel confort in the jungle ! Be ready to go to bed early if you dont wanna attract bugs with lights on ! Thank you putu and to your parents !

Das kleine Bambushaus ist ein absoluter Traum, und genau wie auf den Bildern. Ich habe hier 5 sehr wundervolle Tage verbracht. Die Aussicht ist magisch, und Putu und seine Familie sind sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich, hat mich in balinesische Klamotten gesteckt und ganz selbstverständlich mit zu Zeremonien und den Nachbarn genommen. Dazu gibt es ein zweites, etwas größeres Bambushaus, das genauso special ist (und von Papa Wayan mit eigenen Händen gebaut!). Wer wirklich balinesisches Leben samt Dschungelfeeling will, ist bei Putu in den allerbesten Händen.

The family was very much hospitable & kind and we learnt lots of bahasa language from them! We stayed in the top treehouse (the newest one!) and we had great sleep with beautiful view of the sunset! 👌🏼

We absolutely enjoyed our stay with Putu and his family. Quite far from the bigger cities of Bali you get the true experience of the life on the island including masses of fresh food grown within meters from the hut. Absolutely recommended.

It’s a very exotic place, in the heart of the jungle. We were welcomed with open arms by Putu and his family. All the food was organic, local and so good. We could take the motorbike for free to visit the touristic place around.

Highly recommended! Such sweet people, they really did everything to make our stay unforgettable. Unfortunately we were only there one night (this isn't enough)!! The food was delicious, and there is a market not too far if you want to eat elsewhere. Very cosy bamboo house, exactly how it was described ! Nous sommes restés une semaine sur place. Le logement de Kadek et Wayan est central pour visiter les volcans Batur et Agung ainsi que la cote nord si vous avez un scooter. Et bien sûr le centre comme Tegalalang et Ubud qui ne sont qu’à 25 et 40 minutes en scooter. Tout près des temples Tirta Empul et le Gunung Kawi qui méritent le détour ! L’hospitalité de Kadek et Wayan est incroyable, ils sont drôles, accueillants, chaleureux, aux petits soins avec beaucoup de petites attentions et n’hesiteront pas à vous adopter dans leur famille. Meilleures rencontres de Bali !! Putu est leur fils, vraiment sympa et jolie famille. La cabane est jolie, sympa pour déconnecter et faire avec le basique. Seul hic le matin, la petite route passante en dessous sinon le reste du temps tranquillité assurée. Bons repas sur place et nature verdoyante. Belle vue. Bonne expérience. On recommande !

I had a great stay at Putu's place. When I first arrived i had problems with my stomach and a light fever. But Putu's mother were so caring and made herbal tea and gave me a bunch of fruits that is suppose to calm the stomach. Seriously, she was the best! The day after Putu took me to an amazing waterfall and his mother cooked a great soup before I left for Ubud. I really wished I could have stayed longer. I would recommend minimum two nights for sure. Thank you, Putu! See you next time!

Putu and his family treated us again & again over the course of our stay. They were incredibly generous by going above and beyond to provide hot chocolate, abundant food, and most of all their time. We really felt apart of the family.

We spent five excellent nights at the bamboo house. Putu and his family are the most heart warming people we've met in Bali. The food was amazing as well as their homemade coffee and tea. Our little but still spacious house was very clean and had a nice interior. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and you can also the sun going down between the trees from there. I can just really recommend that place for people who want a great experience in the jungle of Bali. The accomodation is definitely out of the hustle of Ubud, but still kind of central cause there's a lot of good places nearby like the Titra Empul or nice waterfalls. And Ubud is also just 15-20 min away by motorcycle. If you have any questions Putu will always be there for you and gives you great advices for your holiday. Enjoy your stay there!

Thank you for everything, you were the dearest family we ever met. We got some love and very good tea, chocolate and the best banana breakfast. Mrs Kadek is a very very happy and kind lady, she told us some good stories and I get a very good herbal cure for my coldness. Fantastic :) it would be good to stay more nights, but next time we will :)

Een geweldig verblijf, op een unieke locatie bij een geweldige familie!! Een plek waar je het echte Balinese leven en de gastvrijheid kan ervaren. Weinig luxe maar veel liefde!! Je wordt echt in het gezin opgenomen. Kadek kan enorm goed koken!! Dus twijfel niet om te blijven eten! Putu heeft ons een super rondleiding gegeven door de rijstvelden en waterval. Deze overnachting wil je echt niet missen op je vakantie in Bali!!

Cette petite cabane en bambou construite des mains du père de Putu, comme suspendue au dessus de la jungle, est parfaite pour avoir le sentiment de pouvoir arrêter le temps... I have always dreamed of staying in a treehouse and this is definitely the place to go if you are into amazing views, open space and lush nature. The family offers exceptional Blinese hospitality and you will fall in love with their sweet smiles and strong coffee. I highly recommend this experience!

From the minute we arrived at the paradise location of Patu's home we were overwhelmed by the beauty and scenery of the place. His warmth and friendliness matched this beauty, the kindness and generosity of this host made our stay so so special. He took us around the water temple and on to Ubud, he is a wonderful person with a warm heart and kind family. We enjoyed our stay overnight and it felt good to support the local community with our business. The experience is a unique experienced , and we will be going back someday.

Staying there was great! It's an amazing view and the family is just incredible! They are interesting, they have a good philosophy and they are there any time if you need anything. If you want to discover real balinese people, and learn about them and their culture it's the perfect place to stay.

Honestly booking this home was the best decision I made in Bali. If the amazing view doesn't sell you, the family who owns this home will. They are so genuine and make you feel right at home. Not to mention, the bamboo house is incredible! Putu built it himself which I think is ridiculously cool and it has the best views. I had to cut my trip short but Putu made sure I saw Tirta Empul before I left because I told him it's the one thing I was dying to see in Bali. Everything about this place is a 10.

Très beau logement au calme, correspondant parfaitement à ce dont nous avions besoin après 3 nuits dans l'agitation d'ubud. Le logement est attipique et permet de passer un très bon moment au coeur d'une merveilleuse famille. Putu à été un hôte parfait qui nous a conseillé, guider pour la suite de notre trajet et même transformé en chauffeur pour la journée du lendemain. Bref je recommande. Allez y les yeux fermés.

Well, where to start ? I'm gonna start with the fisrt thing that bring you here: the place. Putu bambou housse is amazing, the most peaceful and quiet place we have slept in Bali. If you want to go to mont Batur is really close (30min driving) Then, If you go there don't look for a restaurant, Putu's mother makes the most delicious dishes. She has her own recipes and all is homemade. For sure you'll have a good time there, a real balinese experience. You'll also enjoy the warm and welcom of the whole family, that are all wonderful and helpful. (Among all of their services, Putu's Father, for example checked our tired and put pressure in it. So don't leave Bali without knowing Putu's family.

We stayed two nights at Putu's Bamboo house and it was the most authentic part of our journey to experience the real Bali!! The Bamboo house was like it is shown in the pictures and the view is amazing. The food was very very tastey and diverse. The family was so friendly, we did not fiel like guests but being part of the family. Putu showed us waterfalls and a temple which are off the beaten track and he even organized a trip to mount batur for us! If you love being in the nature, staying at Putu's Bamboo house is definitly worth an experience and so much different than an ordanery hotel.

A stay at Warung Kadek is an excellent chance to go into the authentic setting of Bali. The people you meet there are lovely hosts and they will be very happy to show you they're way of living. We stayed two nights in the bamboo hut and we will never forget the great view into the woods with a cup of bali coffee or cacao. Thank you very much for everything. Staying at Putu's bamboo house was an unforgettable experience. He and his parents treated us like their own family and made us feel like we were at home. If you want to get to know the kind Balinese locals, have tasty traditional food and sleep under the stars: you HAVE to stay here!

It was an amazing experience to be part of putus lovely family and to live in their tiny bamboo house next to the dungle. It has a balcony with a beautiful view an it's the very best place to relax. His parents live there too and they were always there for us as we belong to their family. Poorly they were victims of fraud, so they had to create an new airbnb account. Please don't be shy to stay there. You won't regret it.

Putu and his family are the best person I met during my two-months trip. Food is absolutely delicious. Sleeping in the bamboo house is a unique experience. Mother, father, son, are all amazing people, and the kindest you can share time with in Bali.

I stayed in Putu's house for a few days in July, and having had such a magical time with Putu and his family, came back for another week in August. I am making a review for his new AirBnB page -- there is another listing with the same house, but that one is controlled by a con-man and Putu does not get money from that listing. Putu's bamboo house is simple, without hot shower and wi-fi. But if you like nature and have an open mind to try something new, you might find a pleasant surprise by staying with Putu's family. I cannot express enough gratitude for Putu's family for all they have done for me.
