Exploring Squirrel Cabana A in Melaya left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Squirrel Cabana A in Melaya was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Melaya plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Squirrel Cabana A in Melaya painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
If you want to calm down and have a relaxed time, this is the spot to go. Very quiet and close to the beach. We had some trouble at the check in because we arrived a bit later than planned.
Logement très bien. Malheureusement il faut apprécier se réveiller tôt car il y a du bruit notamment à 5h du matin… et aussi jusqu’à 22h le soir.
Great apartment. But I had a big problem there’s NO WiFi and even my 4G (Phone) didn’t even work ((

Thank you Herman, Mbak Asih & Mas Alex for the hospitality. It was a wonderful stay at Melaya Cabanas, we loved the place, the breakfast, the view, the provided amenities, everything! The access was pretty clear during the day but since we came a bit late, we were a bit confused on where exactly it was, but thankfully Alex came out and greeted us. As someone with dirt allergy, usually I sneeze a lot in cabin-like stays as they're usually dusty, but thankfully this one isn't. Bathroom super clean, water works well, also hot water. The bed was nice to sleep in, was it weighted blanket?
This place is so beautiful, we extended our stay! It’s right by the ocean in a very remote area - perfect if your looking for somewhere to recharge. I would absolutely recommend this place ❤️🌊

Great cabin right in front of the sea! We enjoyed our stay here, and we ordered delicious food every day which was made vegan for us. The bed was comfortable and Alex and his family helpful and kind. We highly recommend this place!
A unforgettable experience.The cabana and surroundings were spectacular. The easily accessible beach made for great walks.The view from the porch was amazing.I loved how the place opened up to let the cool breeze blow through the cabana.Very few bugs for such a secluded and open cabana.The hosts on the property Ash and Alek will never be forgotten they are there for you're every need,such kind and friendly couple.They made the whole experience so much better, they make delicious food as well.If I ever come back to Bali area I will not look for another place.I will defenitly book Melaya Cabana again.

Это просто сказка))) Мне сразу понравился этот вариант на airbnb, но когда я увидел всё вживую... Вау!!!! Домик оказался совсем не маленький. Каждая зона (комната, кухня, ванная комната, терраса, двор) привела меня в восторг! Это максимально уютно! Тишина, шум волн, солнце и кружка кофе 🥰 Подойдёт тем, кто хочет отдохнуть и замедлиться. Я параллельно работал с ноутбука, поэтому можете быть уверены - WiFi хороший)) Очень чисто, персонал дружелюбный и мгновенно помогал нам со всеми вопросами. Мы останавливались всего на пару дней - было большое желание продлить аренду, но, увы, домик был уже занят + дела звали обратно в Джимбаран..)) Обязательно сюда вернёмся на более длительный отдых! Не думайте долго - просто бронируйте, от всей души советую))
everything about this place is GREAT! would love to comeback and stay here again! especially Alex was very kind and helpful about everything great guy! I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends ! it was so peaceful and great!
A beautiful place to enjoy the sound of the ocean. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. We truly loved the ocean view and being surrounded by nature even spotting a few monkeys made it extra special. The kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed. The internet worked well, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Le logement était superbe, avec une vue incroyable et la plage en contrebas du jardin. Alex et Asih étaient adorables et très à l’écoute de nos besoins. Le logement était propre, herman était très actif par message pour nous donner un maximum de renseignements. Un vrai petit coin de paradis au calme.

Om te landen en te voelen hoe bali was voordat colonialist en en kapitalisten het eiland ontdekten is dit the perfect place. Een traditioneel houten huis met t geluid van de zee is priceless. Dat op zee de vissermannen helemaal dol zijn op drum&base is helaas hoorbaar - maar erg lage frequenties makkelijk weg te mediteren en hielden me niet uit m’n slaap. ‘s morgens je bed uit naar t prive strandje lopen is goud waard
If you like the quiet and beach This is great place to be. Place is in front of the beach and so nice to hear the sound of ocean. Staff is very kind and including Indonesian breakfast. In the town there is a nice night market you can have dinner there too. Overall highly recommend 10/10. Hope to come back soon!
Secluded, private, peaceful. Yes you could hear sounds from mosques and musics from the village but it wasn’t that loud. If you’re looking for a very peaceful place, this place is what you’re looking for. They also prepare breakfast for us in the morning. It’s a bit hard to find any restaurant or grocery store nearby, so prepare before you came. The cabana has a kitchen for you to cook. They have indomaret nearby tho. Host was very responsive, and staffs were all very kind.
I had a wonderful stay at Squirrel Cabana A and couldn’t have asked for a better place to slow down and recharge. The location is incredibly private and tranquil, perfect for switching off, painting, and soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Herman’s support was excellent throughout our stay. Asih’s food and friendly attitude was absolutely amazing and such a highlight, and Alex was incredibly helpful with arranging transportation and anything else i needed, so everything felt easy and well taken care of. Nature lovers will be in heaven here: i was lucky enough to see a hummingbird, house geckos, and even an Asian water lizard on the grounds, which made the experience feel extra special. Overall, a truly relaxing and restorative stay in a beautiful setting. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and very grateful for the experience.
Our friend had an Motobike exident and they helped me with everything, getting to hospital, getting the scooter back to Denpasar. Very nice support in every case.
It’s a beautiful Airbnb with garden and direct access to the beach. We had a great walk along the beach. Great to relax and enjoy absolute privacy. It’s perfect to chill and relax. Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too 👍🏼 Thank you!
Unglaublich Freundliche Menschen mit einer Traumhaften Unterkunft mit Blick auf das Meer und Strandzugang. Wer bei Herman nicht übernachtet verpasst ein Juwel in seiner Urlaubszeit. Vielen Dank für diese Tollen Tage Grüße aus Deutschland
Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und genau so, wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Die Leute dort sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Nur zu empfeheln, vor allem für den Preis!

The location is absolutely wonderful, right on the beach with a peaceful and private feel. For the price, it is rare to find something this clean, quiet, and well-maintained in the area. Communication with Herman was smooth and the value was excellent. His staff, Alex and his wife, were both lovely and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. I highly recommend booking here

There's really nothing else like it. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable, the surrounding area is gorgeous. Just watching the waves as you relax and drink from a coconut is beyond peaceful. This was not my first time here, and it will not be the last.
Un petit havre de paix, une vue incroyable sur la plage. Alex était à été très gentil avec nous, merci à lui pour sa flexibilité. Le reste du personnel était très sympathique. Je recommande à 200%. Ils sont également sincères sur ce qui les entoure. Vraiment top du top!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich wunderschön. Aus dem Bett kann man die Brandung des Meeres hören und sonst nichts. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und das Team besonders freundlich. Liebe Grüße an Aleks der uns zur Abreise noch schnell mit dem Roller geshutteld hat und uns einen Bus angehalten hat.

Staying in Kecamatan Negara was a wonderful experience! The villa was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. It’s in a great location—a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the beach. The host was responsive and always willing to help with any questions.
The setting is very tranquil. The walk on the beach is very quiet and the owner is very responsive and caring.
Bij aankomst werden wij vriendelijk ontvangen door Alex. Het was helaas al donker dus konden niet zien hoe prachtig de omgeving was. In de ochtend stond er heerlijk ontbijt voor ons klaar. Daarna hebben we een wandeling gemaakt op het strand en zijn we gaan uitchecken. Er was vervoer voor ons geregeld omdat we op doorreis waren naar Java. Als ik had geweten hoe super mooi het hier was, dan was ik veel langer gebleven!

Es war wie im Paradies. Ich hatte meinen eigenen Strandzugang und sah das Meer von der Terrasse aus. Am Morgen war ich schwimmen und der Strand war leer. Ich war die Einzige dort. Im Vorgarten sah man Hühner, Katzen und Rehe. Nur das warme Frühstück (Reis mit Hähnchen und Gemüse) war gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Already missing my blissful mornings at the cabana..I can still hear the gentle sound of the waves crashing on the shore..utopian paradise, with the comfiest bed, delicious breakfast made with love, and the perfect breeze coming into the dreamy atmosphere the cabana provides. Internet worked just fine, and from beginning to end I had all the support I needed, and beyond! Great communication, and genuine willingness to make my stay the happiest it could be..as a solo traveler I also must say I felt very safe, considering it’s an isolated place..the community around is super warm-hearted, and it was nice to have a taste of how Bali looked like back in the days..I surely recommend the experience and hope I can come back whenever I need a sweet spot for a scape (:

Super location by the seaside. Unfortunately we spent only one night there and during the night it was raining, but the cabana is super nice! the host where super helpful with our late check-in - and even help us in finding a place where to eat in the night. Highly recommended!
We really enjoyed our stay in the Squirrel Cabana. Instead of 1 night we stayed 4, because its such a peaceful place surrounded by wonderful nature with oceanview that we enjoyed a lot. Perfect to relax and gain some energy. Herman and his stuff are super nice and helpful. Every morning they treated us with Indonesian breakfast. The Cabana was clean, cozy and fully equipped with everything we need. Terima kasih banyak! Hope to come back one day!

推窗看海，wfi也还可以，有厨房有冰箱，非常适合躺。至于交通，离市区100km，出行要靠摩托，房东可帮忙联系，比车行便宜太多。check out后还能用车免费送到主路，然后帮忙拦去登巴萨的bus，服务真是没的说。管家Nyoman非常好，记得多给小费，哈哈…
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Herman . Il est indispensable d'avoir un véhicule sur place, car le logement est assez loin des épiceries et restaurants. Elisabeth et son mari nous ont beaucoup aidé, ils étaient aux petits soins avec nous. Nous avons eu la surprise de découvrir que le petit déjeuner était livré tous les jours. L'emplacement est magnifique, encore préservé de l'agitation qui anime Ubud et autres grandes villes touristiques. Nous recommandons ce logement.

It was really delightful experience to stay in Squirrel Cabana. The room is spacious & comfy the bathroom is also spacious & cleans, provided with a water heater. I think Herman is really thoughtful when designing this room. He provided a nice bed, cabinet, a table & lamp for work, warm lighting, enough electricity plugs, & a Aircon plus fan (though I was satisfied with the calm wind from the beach). The Wi-Fi worked well and I had a smooth online meeting there. The Cabana is also completed with a functional pantry with beautiful garden view. The best spot of the Cabana is the terrace that faces the beach. I can stay there for a long time to enjoy the vibes. The Nyoman family provided the 5 star service during my stay. They are so friendly, kind & helpful. Their food & coffee are so good. The best activity for me was walkin around the beache & villages. I hope I can stay longer on my next visit. Mr. Herman's accommodation was the perfect spot for my recent beach vacation. The beachfront property is just amazing, especially when you wake up in the morning and look straight out to the sea – an unparalleled experience. Situated in a very calm area of Bali, this is not the place for those seeking a party scene, but rather a serene escape. The simple yet comfortable house provides everything you might need for a relaxing stay, and it is clean and well-maintained. The view from the balcony alone is truly unique. During my stay, I had the opportunity to walk to a nearby restaurant, just a 10-minute beach walk away. It was nice to have such an option close by. Mr. Herman's team was very warm and helpful, adding to the enjoyment of the entire stay. Overall, Mr. Herman's Airbnb offers wonderful accommodation for anyone looking for a relaxed time near the beach. I can only recommend booking it. Stay at least a week to fully enjoy this wonderful place and tranquility!
The cabana was truly an incredible stay! Unbeatable views. So close to the beach! Herman arranged a pickup for us from Gilimanuk ferry from the caretakers of the cabana, who were AMAZING! So wonderful and welcoming, shared snake fruit with us and brought a lovely breakfast in the morning. As previous reviews say, the wifi does not work well/at all. But the place is still incredible, we loved it! Wished we could stay longer.
Thank you so much Elisabeth and Mr Nyoman! We booked this airbnb very spontaneously for one night and had some issues getting there from Gilimanuk with grab/gojek, but Herman responded right away and advised to get a bus or even offered to have Mr Nyoman come and pick us up. They ended picking us up from the gas station where the bus left us and were so incredibly nice. The house is also lovely, with the biggest and comfiest bed we’ve had in the entire trip and a view overlooking the sea. You can also walk down to the beach for a swim. Elisabeth made us a very tasty dinner although their restaurant was closed and brought us breakfast in the morning. It was just overall amazing, if we could have stayed longer we would have.
Very unique location beach front in this beautiful local beach. The lush garden, the welcoming staff and the wonderful views, make the place a great deal for a private beach front experience in this area. Great communication with host as well. Overall super recommend!

It's a really nice and cozy place. it's a bit secluded, but if you have a scooter it's a nice place to explore the surrounding area.
We loved it!! So sad because we only stayed one night, I would have stay at least 3 more. The room is magical at night, with ocean views, the sound, the moon entering the room…incredible. The host are super nice and cute, they get you yummy breakfast in the morning to the room and they are always for you and responsables. Really recommended if you want some peaceful days and relax around nature :))
Unsere schönste Unterkunft auf Bali. Direkt am Strand, top Ausstattung und sehr privat. Die Kommunikation war schnell und unkompliziert. Wir haben sogar extra veganes Frühstück bekommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The cabane is fantastic, the area is stunning, the people are lovely, it’s such a nice place to be, the surrounds have so much to explore. Waterfall, rice fields, the longest beach I have ever seen. Also there a warung 5 min walk on the beach with amazing Ikan bakar. Newman and Ibu were amazing, they helped us so much. Looking forward going again
My sister and I really enjoyed the place (though she may have been a bit afraid of the lizards, haha). The views of sunrise and sunset were so pretty from the porch and it was right on the beach so we could walk down it each morning. Thank you for the wonderful stay and the amazing cooked breakfasts!
Einfach to ein super entspanntet Ort um von Leben in canggu runter zukommen
Wir wollten nach einer sehr ereignisreichen Urlaubswoche zwei entspannte Nächte zum entspannen haben - genau das haben wir dort bekommen! Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben, großartiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Für jeden der Idylle und Ruhe sucht genau das richtige. In ca. 3 km Entfernung gibt es einen kleinen Ort mit Food-Markt und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, der Strand ist sehr schön, obwohl auch mal am Rand ein wenig Müll liegt. Für den Check-in muss vorher angerufen werden, da keiner direkt immer vor Ort ist und zur Unterkunft gelangt man am besten über die zusätzliche Wegbeschreibung, da der verlinkte Standort ein anderer ist.
Tout est parfait! Les hôtes sont incroyablement gentils et attentionnés. La nourriture du café est délicieuse. Le logement possède un cachet exceptionnel. Je recommande à tout le monde!
we stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed everything. the room smells good and clean, the kitchen and bathroom are well kept. thank you ibu nyoman! would definitely come back! also, their coffee shop has great food and drink, kedai kopi q-ta. :)
It's really a beautiful place with a friendly neighbourhood. The visit was too short in my opinion, there are a lot of things to do nearby, especially for a nature lover. Walking around the beach was enjoyable, the 2 mins walk from the cabana to the beach is a big plus. Fresh coconut from the tree was fun. The internet was good as well, we found no issue with the connection. We love sat in the balcony and watched the sky changing colours, it's wonderful. Next time we will certainly stay longer.
Stayed here just for a night with my husband, while in transit between Gilimanuk harbor to Denpasar. I thought sitting in a train for 6hrs, +25mins on ferry was enough sitting for one day. So I decided to stay the night before continuing the trip with a bus for another 3,5 hours. The wooden cabana was really cozy. From your room you can look directly at the sea. It has a kitchen, two bikes that you can use to get around the area, and very near the beach. The only minus side was that the beach was dirty and full of trash from the sea. I expected to have a nice walk or even swim at the beach, but too bad :( And beware of red ants at the outside of the bedroom. Which we totally understood because there were many plants at the cabana area. Oh and this Melaya Cabana area was really large, there was even a small river that connects to the sea on high tide. There was a chicken walking around, and cows, too, eating grass in the morning. The cabana caretaker, Mr. Nyoman was the owner of Kedai Kopi (cafe) Q~ta. If you go there by bus, you can drop by his cafe and ask him to take you to the cabana with his car. If you need food or anything, he will also take care of it for you. His son and wife were very kind, too. If you go to their cafe you will be treated with a warm welcome. We also bought their coffee grounds (which Mr. Nyoman roasted and made himself) and boy it tastes good! The neighbor in the other cabana was a nice couple who had stayed there for 2 months. We had a nice chat, too. Hoping to stay here again and meet with Mr. Nyoman & his family.
Super herzliche Gastgeber, schöne Unterkunft und ein toller Blick aufs Meer. Das Restaurant Q-TA ist in der Nähe. Man kann vor Ort essen oder sich das Essen liefern lassen. Sehr lecker und die Inhaber sind sehr herzliche, nette und hilfsbereite Menschen. Die Unterkunft ist ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen. Einiges Manko, es gibt leider kein Wlan.

The cabana we stayed it had a really nice feeling to it since it was just so cozy. The view from waking up in the morning was one for its own and the breakfast was always delicious. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming people, who took care of us very well without disturbing at any moment. Thank you very much!
