Sunflower Stay and Surf 1.

Exploring Sunflower Stay and Surf 1. left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of Sunflower Stay and Surf 1. was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Kuta Utara plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for Sunflower Stay and Surf 1. painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Rooms are smelly, mosquitoes in the room, not enough sockets, bedsheets, curtains, towels not fresh.

Sunflower Stay and surf it’s the first hotel we live in when we arrive in Bali. The staff are welcoming, location is perfect, walk distance to the sea. Little pool it’s clean and nice. It’s quite even super close to the Main Street. In the room, the bed and sheet are clean and comfortable, however it’s super wet in the room. We washed some clothes and it’s not get dry after 3 days. The toilet itself not clean at all. Water leak on the floor of toilet. No place to put the bottles of shampoo. I will not come back. And I really recommend if you care about cleanness, and you have more budget choose somewhere else

Was a beautiful stay. Although missing some basic ammenities- like a hair dryer. Another room mate threw a lamp at me during my stay, it didn’t hit me but the guest exhibited violent behaviour and the situation was not handled properly. Overall the stay was nice, that one moment was a shame. And I didn’t feel safe after then. They need more older, tenour staff.

unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience here. i’ll start with the good- we arranged airport pickup which was easy, and Cenik picked us up (after waiting for us for a long time due to customs lines). the pool is nice. the location is great for exploring, on the main street but set back so it wasn’t so noisy in our room. but the main street is loud and busy. cenik also arranged for our boat/travel to and from gili air which was super helpful. now the not good- upon entering our room, it smelled like mildew. this was our first stop in se asia so i thought maybe the smell would fade. it didn’t. i let cenik know about the smell and the staff cleaned the room. this didn’t help. the 3rd day i finally took a closer look and saw mold growing on the walls. we immediately changed rooms, and the second room didn’t smell. we saw them doing something to our original room the next day (hopefully not just painting over the mold). mold is super dangerous and toxic and sleeping in it for any amount of time is not healthy. the owner Adi was in and out talking to solo traveling females. he never once greeted us, talked/apologized to us about the room/mold situation. a lot of the staff didn’t speak much english, which is ok but the owner should be paying attention to all guests, not just solo females. i can’t recommend staying here unfortunately.

Everything was as described, cozy rooms and nice outdoor area. Unfortunately a bit of construction work when I was there so you weren’t able to use the kitchen for a day or two but other than that all good 🌞

Great location close to many cafes, bars and the beach. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. The room was spacious and cleaned every day, which I appreciated. They also arranged a paid airport pickup and the driver arrived exactly on time, which made my arrival very easy. Even though my room was on the ground floor next to the pool, the place was surprisingly quiet and respectful with no party atmosphere. There were also three very friendly cats around the property which were adorable. A couple of things could be improved: sometimes there was a smell from the bathroom and the air conditioning was a bit difficult to regulate. Since my room was on the ground floor it was also hard to open the curtains fully for natural light without feeling exposed, so the room could feel a bit dark during the day. The shared kitchen area near the pool could also get quite hot. Overall the listing felt accurate and with a few small improvements it could be an even better stay

Bardzo sympatyczna i pomocna obsługa , można poczuć sie jak w domu , miejsce jest czyste i zadbane i zdecydowanie wygląda lepiej niż na zdjęciu. Jedynymi minusami jest to że drzwi do pokoju są nieszczelne przez do na skutek okropnego deszczu zalało mi pokój. Lokalizacja jest komfortowa blisko centrum , bardzo polecam to miejsce mimo drobnych niedogodności wynikających z pogody :)

Lovely place to stay, super nice vibe, the pool area was great, the room was big and comfortable. It'd be great if there was a mirror in the main room that's air conditioned, the only mirror was in the bathroom which was very hot and made it difficult to get ready/do make up whilst sweating! Unfortunately Canggu has gone downhill since I visited in 2020, it was very crowded, hectic and dirty. The place we stayed was nice but I wouldn't go back to Canggu.

Tout était parfait ! J’enlève juste une étoile car je n’ai eu que des douches à peine tièdes… Sinon l’emplacement est top, l’hôtel est magnifique et la chambre vraiment nickel. Je recommande, à condition d’avoir de l’eau chaude !

Die Lage war sehr zentral, die Kommunikation äußerst schnell und die Gastfreundschaft immer sehr nett. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, direkt neben dem Aufenthaltsbereich, was dazu führte, dass wir morgens schon die Gespräch und Telefonate der anderen Gäste hörten. Nebenzimmer-Geräusche waren ab und an auch zu hören. Dadurch, dass das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss war, war es auch nicht besonders hell - die Fenster haben fixe Fensterläden was schon Dunkelheit erzeugte und dann kam sonst auch nicht viel Licht rein. Grundsätzlich ist das eine persönliche Referenz, dass wir uns gerne auch mal im Zimmer aufhalten und es deswegen heller lieber haben. Das wäre vermutlich anders mit einem Zimmer im Obergeschoss :)

we stayed one night only but it was very nice. very central accommodation yet super quiet. We barely met anyone so it almost felt like we were alone. the garden and decoration are very beautiful surrounded by trees and plants.

The accommodation is great for people who want to experience Canggu and don't want to spend the earth on it. The location makes up for it and makes up for a lot! It is in an absolutely great location. At the same time in the heart of the center, but very quiet at night due to the back alley. The staff are really very courteous and friendly. In addition, the 24-hour protection of the facility gives a good feeling of security. The free WLAN is really very good and fast. The rooms themselves are simply but modernly equipped. Cleanliness - superficially yes, but it's better not to look too closely under the pillowcases or in the bathroom. The door to the room can be challenging and needs a bit of skill and work to lock. Maybe a normal lock would be a huge upgrade for the future. In the End you will get exactly what you need, a cheap, central and mostly clean stay in a private room! If you can overlook some minor things, it’s a great place to stay. : )

Het was een goed en rustig verblijf midden in de drukte. Bij de accommodatie hoor je niks van alle scooters en auto’s die voorbij komen. De mensen waren vriendelijk en de kamer was schoon. De airco op de kamer was prima!

Great location! In the heart of Batu Bolong and walking distance to the beach and other sites in Canggu which helps as the traffic is hectic. Very friendly and accommodating staff who helped us book a surfing lesson.

Great location, would recommend however be mindful of mosquitoes. We ended up buying our own preventatives for our room.

The location is very good and convenient to walk to the main places I went. I like the public area it was very exotic and beautiful with a small pool. And the refrigerator in kitchen is also convenient. Only thing is the facility is a bit old and there were stains in the bathroom.

I taught the room could be a bit cleaner but overall good experience.

The only negative thing for us, was that bed was kind of uncomfortable. But the place is beautiful, great location in Canggu, and great service.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour ici. Le logement est situé au niveau de la rue principale de Canggu à proximité de nombreux commerces et restaurant et de la plage. Tout en étant en retrait de la route ce qui faisat que nous n'entendons pas la circulation. Cependant les chambres sont peu isolées entre elles, ce qui fait que nous entendions tout dès que nos voisins se lever et commencer à parler entre eux, ou lorsqu'ils prenaient une douche.

It was a blessing to find this place, right away the moment we really needed somewhere to stay. Back story we forgot to book a room prior our bali flight, good thing they still have an available room on our stay considering that it was peak season. I love the calmness vibes of the place I can say that it made me relax during our bali stay. Its like a paradise in the busy place of canggu.

Super schöne Unterkunft genau wie auf den Bildern. Gute Lage, man kann zu Fuß viele tolle Cafés, Restaurants sowie den Strand schnell erreichen, es ist aber trotzdem ruhig. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt und war super sauber. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin und Mitarbeiter:innen. Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen!

Mega schattige accommodatie! Surfvibe meets Mexicaanse tuin. Sfeervol met die opvallende tegels en veel groen in de tuin. Plus was dat je gebruik kon maken van de buitenkeuken met koelkast. Kamer was ook sfeervol en ruim. Dikke plus is de locatie!! Je slaat rechtsaf de winkelstraat in en loopt dan meteen richting het strand 😃

super endroit, calme malgré en plein centre ville de canggu et à 10min à pied de la plage. nous avons ajouté une nuit supplémentaire tellement c'était sympa. la piscine est très agreable. Le lendemain j'ai Attrapé le bali belly suite à un resto en ville et nyoman nous a remis du matériel et a accepté de check out plus tard puisque je n'allais pas bien. c'était facile. nous avons adoré merci encore. 🙌

Séjour incroyable, face à la mer ! Tout est accessible à pied, et l’endroit est calme. Le logement est très simple, on s’y sent comme chez soi. Il manquerait juste une moustiquaire au dessus de lit et ça serait parfait !

Die Unterkunft hatte eine perfekte Lage in Canggu, nicht weit entfernt vom Strand und bekannten Bars wie Old Man‘s und Mexicola. Sie war außerdem gut zu erreichen und die Anlage war super gepflegt und schön. Ich durfte sogar 3 Stunden früher einchecken, das fand ich äußerst nett. Sehr aufmerksam fand ich auch, dass die Zimmer immer nur dann gereinigt wurde, sobald man das Zimmer verlassen hat. So wurde man morgens nicht geweckt :) Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We enjoyed our stay, place was cuter in person than the photos and kept very clean. Very close to everything for a first time visitor although we thought Cangguu was a bit busy and touristy compared to other scenic balinese cities but this is no fault of the accomodation of course :)

Excellent location. Very close to a lot of main areas like La Brisa, Mexicola and food places like Milk and Madu. Convenient stores just outside as well. I enjoyed playing with the two residential cats in the villa. They were so cute and great company.

This was our second time staying here this year. We absolutely love this place. Everything is clean and spotless, and we feel right at home. We love the pool, and we love using the beautiful shared outdoor kitchen to cook, and we absolutely are in love with their adorable and friendly cats

Stayed for 3 nights and was the best decision for my first accom in Bali! The outdoor shared space was so nice and relaxing. The was clean and maintained. The vibe and aesthetic of the villas was rustic, eclectic and totally Bali. The staff were really friendly and polite. I would recommend this spot to my friends and family and will come again for sure! It’s in a really good spot. There is construction sounds when I stayed but I could hardly notice it myself even when I’m just relaxing outside by the pool. Just something to consider as I do look for this as well for a good experience. It was a great time nonetheless :)

I had a wonderful stay at Sunflower! This family-operated gem is run by the loveliest hosts who made me feel so welcome. The property is beautifully maintained, and my room was cleaned daily, which I really appreciated. The cats roaming around added such a charming touch, and I adored the dogs, though I wished they were out more often as a dog lover. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and comfortable. Highly recommend this place for a delightful stay!

Everything was great. They even let us swim in the pool at night once. We are very happy about that, and of course, we did not make any noise. It was very clean. They cleaned it daily, and it was quiet despite being in the center. The location is great.

Gigisusu is just right in front and there is so many walkable places around! Just 5 mins ride we reach the beach! The location is so convenient and the room is clean!

Absolutely loved our stay at Sunflower. Was a very relaxing and peaceful room with a nice roomy shower and bathroom. Having a lockup wardrobe helped with our belongings. This is a great place to stay in Canggu because it’s so centrally located, but also positioned off the main street so you can enjoy some peace and quiet at night. The room was large, clean, and comfortable!

Es war sehr schön und angenehm. Mitten in Changgu also sehr gute Lage. Wir hatten leider trotzdem Schwierigkeiten es zu finden aber das lag wahrscheinlich eher an uns. Changgu ist sehr touristisch deshalb nichts für uns aber die Unterkunft war top.

I Made’s place was lovely. Perfect walking distance of about 10 minutes to the beach and surrounded by a lot of restaurants. The cafe across the road was great as well. It’s tucked away down a little street so there is no noise and is a lot more private. The staff were very helpful and were very quick to respond to queries. Would definitely stay here again.

Our time at Sunflower Stay couldn't have been better. Our pick up from the airport was arranged and we were welcomed into our beautiful balcony room seamlessly. This accommodation has everything you need. Rooms and communal spaces are cleaned daily, the location is great and friendly staff are on hand at all times. There is a great mix of privacy and community here, a bustling town outside, a relaxing shared pool area inside, and a peaceful, undisturbed space for yourself. Thank you for having us!

I had a wonderful stay at the Sunflower Stay and Surf! The accommodation is beautiful and super clean. Everything you need is close by and it’s just a few minutes walk to the beach. The staff is super friendly and communication was great. They offered a transportation for a fee and also organized my surf lessons with Wayan (highly recommend). Wonderful location - walking distance to all the local hotspots. Room was very spacious and exactly as described. Pool area was great to relax at during the hottest parts of the day. Staff are so friendly and always available. There is construction next door that makes some noise all day, including waking up guests in the morning. However this is beyond the control of the hosts, and quite frankly is occurring all over Canggu so cannot really be avoided. Would stay here again!

We loved staying at I Made’s place. Everyone was very welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing and swimming in the pool. The cats were fun and we loved their company. We liked our stay so much we extended for a few extra days. Highly recommend if you are in Canggu and looking for a nice place to chill. Highly recommend.

Second time staying here. They hosts are really friendly and helpful. Free refill water tank which is a small but great step in reducing single use plastic. Rooms are nice and the pool is cute. It’s located directly across the road from GigiSusu’s bakery which is a cute little stop. Will stay again.

We loved our stay here, couldn’t get a better location. Very close to everything and walkable but it’s set slightly back off the main road so it’s a quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The staff were really friendly and helpful, we checked in after midnight and the staff were there to help us. Would definitely stay again, 10/10 recommend. Beautiful stay.

Second time staying here and we will definitely be back! We love the rooms and facilities so much - the pool is epic to hang at and the staff are friendly and helpful at all hours! It is in the centre of Canggu so very easy to walk from here to multiple restos, cafes, beach clubs etc. Highly recommend staying here and it is extremely good value for money!

Wir waren eine Woche hier und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Bett ist groß und gemütlich. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und ruhig. Trotzdem ist die Lage super zentral. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und würden wiederkommen.

Tres bel établissement dans la rue de Batu Bolong et a qq minutes a pied de toutes commodités et plage. Un peu en retrait donc aucun problème avec le bruit, c’est très paisible ! Confortable et très jolie. Mention spécial pour les fleurs fraiches dans la chambre qui laisse une odeur très agreable !

Fell in love with this place as soon as we arrived. Tucked off one of Canggu's main streets, it is a total oasis so pretty, peaceful and welcoming. The style is the coolest we saw while on Bali, the photos do not do this place justice. The housekeeping was discreet and spot on, the staff were super smiley and friendly. Location was excellent, surf lesson contact was superb and pool was great. Can't recommend it enough and we will surely be back.

Die Unterkunft war perfekt für unser Ankommen auf Bali. Das Zimmer und der Hof sehen genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Die Lage ist richtig toll. Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einer kleinen Seitenstraße, etwas abgeschirmt von dem Trubel der Hauptstraße, in der es viele Restaurants und Cafés gibt. Das Hostel bietet auch einen Flughafentransfer an, auch das hat reibungslos funktioniert!

our stay here was memorable, our first visit to Canggu and we are already looking forward to coming back. Host was extremely helpful and communicated quickly and was reliable. Helped us with recommendations for a variety of things and offered reasonably priced transfers. The location is the best for Canggu because its close to the beach and right across the road from the best cafe which opens very early for coffee, and the coffee is the best. Our room was clean and the pool inviting. The shared kitchen was great as we got to meet and talk with other travels.

Very accessible to the Batu Bolong beach.. Very near to top rated restaurants and cafes like Milk & Madu, Aunty ji's.. We'll maintained room and helpful staff

Sunflower was such a cute place in an amazing location. Right in the middle of fun things to do in Canggu like beach, shops, and bars. The area is very walkable. We had a whole night out on the town without having to use a single grab ride or scooter. They even recommended a few restaurants close by where if you present your room key, you get a discount. Beach towels provided. Spotless bedroom and bathroom. We only had one night here and i truly wish we had more time. The pool looked great even though we didn’t get a chance to swim in it. Communal kitchen area provided filtered water for water bottle refills. No parking out front and you have to take a short walk (1 minute maybe) down an alley to get to the place. Overall this place is a great find, especially for the price. Would stay again!

Amazing hidden gem right in the middle of Canggu! Even better looking than the pictures. Great water pressure in the shower, bathroom very clean, lovely touch/pop of color in the bedroom thanks to the fresh flowers on every surfaces, the sheets and towels smelled amazing, the outdoors are fantastic, loved the vibe of the place.

We had a lovely stay in this cute Airbnb. Although it is an hostel they only have private rooms so there were no parties, loud guests, etc. It's located right in the heart of Canggu, near lots of good restaurants. The shared outdoor kitchen was a nice touch and very clean. We had a great time getting a tan at the pretty pool. The bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly though. Apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Really enjoyable stay. Easy access to surf break, I was put in touch with a great instructor called Denis. Location is also really good for restaurants/cafes Penny Lane , Luma , Mason , La Brisa are all in walking distance. Place itself is clean , well run , people are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here ☺️

We werden al opgehaald van het vliegveld wat super fijn is na zo langen reis ! Het bed was schoon en lekker groot! Het is er echt prachtig met veel cactussen en planten! Zwembad was ook zeker relaxt! Het zat aan een drukke weg maar binnen merkte je daar niks van! Zeker aanrader!

This was my first solo trip as a female and Sunflower was the PERFECT place to stay. It was in a great location very close to the beach. It's tucked away off the main road so it's very quiet and peaceful. I felt very comfortable and safe my entire stay. All the staff was so kind. Thank you Cenik for the best time at Sunflower :)

This place is a hidden gem!!! Tucked a way off the main road but easily accessible. Too many restaurants and shops to mention, would definitely book here again. Has great Wi-Fi and you can easily contact the host for assistance.

This was our first stay in Bali as a married couple! Super friendly staff, they tidy your room every day and are very helpful. We even were able to arrange a ride with our host from the airport since we arrived so late (2am). He was so kind to wait for us and drive us to our accommodation (for a fee of course, which we were happy to pay!). The room itself was very funky and checked all our boxes. Shower had great pressure, bed was super comfy, wifi was fast. The pool is a very chill place to spend some time. Very funky with the tiling - we loved it! We also utilized to kitchen where there are two fridges with labeled shelves for each room. Very nice to be able to keep your things organized from other visitors. We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for having us!

Very nice place to stay in Canggu. Just minutes away from the beach on foot and lots of nice restaurants and activities in the near proximity. The room was nice and clean. The pool was small but just enough to freshen up after a long day at the beach. The staff was super helpful and always kind!

Jessie and I loved our stay at sunflower, it is right in the heart of all the food and close by to the beach. The staff were friendly and cleaned our room daily. They are always around in case we needed anything too. It was a perfect little getaway for us.

Sunflower Stay & Surf was the first accommodation we stayed at on our trip to Bali and it was an amazing experience. Our hosts were very helpful with recommendations on where to go and what to do and everything was in great condition with a lovely social area and pool. The rooms were clean with everything we needed and the location was great. Easy to walk around the popular spots of Canggu without having to rent a scooter. Could not recommend this place enough and is definitely a rare find in Bali!

Definitely a good catch- very close to the beach and to all cool restaurants in Canggu. The place itself is decorated with a very fine taste, making you want to take pictures of the pool area the whole day :) We also booked our surfing lessons with Adi thanks to the suggestion, which was super fun & pleasant. I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for a decent place in this area.

I loved my stay at sunflower! Perfect location, and perfect if you’re travelling solo as you can make friends in the shared areas. You’re surrounded by great food, the walk to the beach is super easy and short, and the staff were so warm and welcoming! Cenik picked me up from the airport too and that made my arrival super smooth.

Couldn’t be happier about our stay here! Visited Canggu many times and this was by far the best Airbnb find. Place is even prettier than in pictures. Super well located. Great AC and shower. The sunflower team cleans your room as soon as you step out for breakfast. Pool area is insane. Stayed on the second floor and especially loved chilling at the patio right outside our rooms. Will 100% return! Oh, and all for this price point? Don’t bother looking further yall, this one’s pretty tough to beat

What a beautiful spot! It’s tucked just far enough off the busy street to feel slightly secluded. Room was clean and comfortable, but the real standout here is the pool area. It’s beautifully decorated, with a vaguely Mediterranean feel. It seems many guests spent most of their time by the pool, and I can see why! It was a lovely relaxing atmosphere.

The location of Sunflower was perfect - 10 minute walk to the beach / or 3 min scooter ride. The decor was so gorgeous - lovely bright colors that make the place even more appealing. Bedroom and bathroom were perfect size and the communal kitchen was ideal. Staff were so friendly and really made you feel welcome. I will definitely return on my next trip to Bali!

Best place to stay in Bali! I absolutely loved my stay at sunflower and can not fault it in anyway. The location is perfect- so convenient, the rooms are cool and stylish, the common areas are literally amazing! Such stylish/ cool touches. I could go on for ages about how much I loved stayed here. Also, the value for money is INSANE. I stayed at a private villa for 4 x the price for the week prior and honestly had a way better time at Sunflower, and will stay here for all future trips to Canggu. It is simply the best! Don’t bother looking further, you won’t beat Sunflower!

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights. It’s the perfect location, 10 minutes walk to the beach and around the corner to great food. Beautiful room, lovely pool and a wonderful family owned business! We rented a scooter and my daughter had a surfing lesson. Everything was perfect!! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we can’t wait to come back and stay with you again soon!!

The hospitality at Sunflowers was amazing, 5 stars isn’t enough to rate them. Everyone that works there was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very comfortable. I’ll definitely recommend this to anyone coming to explore Canggu. The location was great as it was a quick walk to the beach and was surrounded by wonderful restaurants and shops.

I absolutely loved staying at Sunflower. It was very central, and allowed for me to get to where I wanted to go walking. I woke up in the mornings, walked to the beach, surfed, walked back, walked to breakfast, etc. The place was clean with great A/C and hot water. There wasn't much else you could ask for. Be aware that you are staying in a really popular area in Canggu, so there is some street noise. I was fine using my white noise app.

Don’t hesitate to book sunflower! I’ve been in Canggu three times and I have stayed at some of the resorts and expensive villas when I was traveling with family and friends, but honestly sunflower was the best experience so far for me first of all facility looks much better than the picture; location right in the center of canggu surrounded by shops cafes etc. while not at all noisy and quite peaceful inside. even for someone who does not surf this is still a great place to stay, staff always available, knows everything and always have the greatest recommendations on spa/surf/dining/laundry, you will be in great hands. I also had two surf lessons with Adi and he is amazing, I cannot skate/roller skate/ski and yet managed to get three successful waves. They also provided pick up and drop off at the airport for a fee

Sunflower is the perfect place to stay in Canggu. The location is right next to some of the best restaurants and a quick 5 minute walk to the beach. The place is very cool, has a modern touch to it. Pool is small but perfect for a dip or to relax after a long day at the beach. Rooms were very clean! Would definitely recommend.

Just had the best stay in the cutest boutique hotel in Canggu, it's hidden in an alley away from the busy streets / local shops / few minutes walk away from beach and amazing brunch places, so just perfect as I needed serenity at the same time walking distance for most places. Everything in the villa screams cuteness and beauty, makes me feel like I'm in a riad in Morocco, also they have the best bed ever it's double mattress with silky soft duvet, making time for my lost sleep, highly recommend!

A wonderful, welcoming, relaxed and stylish sanctuary, centrally located near Batu Balong, great local restaurants, stores, spas and yoga studios. Sunflower also arranged one of the best massages I’ve experienced - I’d definitely stay here again.

Such a wonderful place to stay for a few days, honestly their photos and description are understated! Someone (in a yellow Sunflower shirt) is always at the front desk and happily greets you asking what you’ve been up to and what’s next plus offering suggestions. They all have great English and truly warm personalities (except for their pup Chopper who isn’t so keen on men.) The property itself is set back down a path from the main road, which can be easy to miss until you know where it is. It’s right beside Plant Cartel, a fast food vegan place. As soon as we arrived we felt at home and began planning a future month-long visit to stay and take full advantage of the place. There is a co-working space above the office (open air) with a bed swing, bed with mosquito netting and counter seats with plugs. You can buy into a higher speed dedicated WiFi, but we found the free WiFi to be fine (we streamed a Netflix movie one night.) All rooms are behind a siding door in a gated area with the pool, shared kitchen area and rooms (two story rows all facing the pool.) The rooms are simple but clean, well decorated, concrete showers with amazing water pressure and available hot water. Soap is provided in a dispenser (no other toiletries provided.) We didn’t encounter many other guests in our 3 days even using the pool a handful of times and lounging on the chairs. It was a really nice balance to the crazy outside the gate in a busy part of Canggu. Which is also a bonus. We weren’t wanting to do any more scootering, and were able to walk everywhere. 8 casual mins to Batu Bolong Beach for live music at Old Man’s, a surfing lesson (which Sunflower arranged with Adi, the sweetest Canggu native with perfect English, patience, humor and kindness with my first time surfer-wannabe husband!), 13 min walk to the quieter Echo Beach and La Bris (super cool place to check out during the day for quiet, and night for a party), and walks up and down the street for boutique shops, lots of vegan-friendly restaurants and a few Indonesian warungs. After 3 days we felt we had checked most everything walkable off our list. Another day and we definitely would have arranged a scooter rental to explore a few other areas. Which I’m sure Sunflower could have easily arranged. Also would have checked out two local yoga studios we heard good things about and Motion Fitness which offers daily functional training classes. One of the staff (family?) drove us to the airport at 6am for 250k which took about 40-ish minutes. Super easy, and he was a careful and kind driver. Really we couldn’t have been happier (especially after having some less than stellar experiences around the island.) Our only things to mention are: the walls are thin, and while we didn’t hear people in other rooms we could hear people outside at the pool area quite well. One couple stayed out there chatting until after midnight and kept us up. But they were cute, flirting with one another (maybe having just met?) and quietly retired after awhile. No partying here as the pool is closed after 9pm and it’s made known to guests that quiet hours are taken seriously. After that first night we played white noise on our phone to drown out noises and it was fine. We didn’t take advantage of the kitchen area other than to store some leftovers in the fridge, but it was clean and well respected. The pool area has plenty of seating (even has outlets at the high tops!) although the pool is really only big enough for a few at a time. No critters in our room, but it’s Bali, I’m sure it happens. Every night when we returned we found the bed freshly made and AC in full force. A total delight and comfort after a long hot day. Plus the bed was super comfy! Thank you to Sunflower for being such rays of sunshine!! You all are so sweet and amazing and it’s because of you that we are eager to return!

Such a lovely place to stay! Very central to everything. The staff are very attentive and help with everything you need. I would highly recommend this place.

Sunflower is ideally situated near the beach in downtown Canggu. The pro is that everything you want to do in Canggu is within walking distance. The con is that getting to anywhere else around Bali will take hours because of heavy congestion in and out of the main roads. The room itself was exceedingly clean and most importantly had blasting A/C.

The place is nicer than the pictures show. My room and the entire place was really clean. I arrived early and was welcomed warmly and able to go to my room as it was ready anyway. The location is great. There is also a little outdoor kitchen area that I didn’t realise was there. Handy for a simple meal in. Would definitely stay again.

Sunflower is close to everything (beach, restaurants...) . Very clean & relaxing place. Don’t hesitate !
