The Dream Beach, Nusa Penida

Exploring The Dream Beach, Nusa Penida left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of The Dream Beach, Nusa Penida was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Nusa Penida plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for The Dream Beach, Nusa Penida painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Amazing view and surprisingly impressive snorkeling literally right outside your door. So relaxing listening to the waves crashing just meters away. Unfortunately the bathroom is not well aired and has a substantial damp problem (combined with a slow draining shower), which caused us respiratory issues. Thus, we would not stay again, but we do recommend it for proximity to the sea and snorkeling. The beach was surprisingly clean (with no hawkers or other hassles), and there was a very popular restaurant nearby: Penida Colada).

We loved the island! Merry was very responsive and assisted with recommendations and transport. The room is very large, and there are pretty views of the beach. One thing we noticed during our stayis that there are no areas to really unpack things/surfaces to keep things on (such a weird thing that you don't realise matters until you don't have it). The accomodation also needs a bit of maintenance (shower, plug point wires exposed etc), but other than that it provided a great base for exploring a really special island.

My wife and I were in Bali for our honeymoon and Nusa Penida was one of our destinations to stay at. Getting an Airbnb in the beachfront was absolutely wonderful. The first thing you see in the morning is a beautiful beach with the sun rising and its rays are hitting on the water, absolutely surreal. I wish Merry had posted a few more pictures on how it looked outside and given detailed description about the beach itself. If you are planning on staying here, please make sure you have swimming shoes. The shore and beach is super rocky. Walking barefoot on it is the worst thing you can do. Also, the AC was not as powerful and cold as we would've hoped. During summertime, that is one thing you want. Overall, it is a great location. The sushi restaurant behind the Airbnb was really good! Friendly people and staff. Definitely would still recommend this to anyone who wants to stay at the beachfront.

The location is great and the place is good too. Do note that during our the stay, the ACs were barely functioning and only served to maintain room temperature and were not cooling the room enough even when the temperature was set to 17. We did manage with the provided tablefan luckily. The owner did mention they were going to replace the ACs soon. The wooden floorboards are also damaged and broken in certain parts of the room. Do walk around in slippers to avoid any splinters from injuring you. The other amenities in the room are absolutely great though. The view from the room is spectacular as well.

The villa was spacious, with a beautiful view. The room was in need of repair, the floor felt unstable due to the boards needing repair. It was clean and well comfortable. A coffee table would be nice in the room. There was snorkel gear supplied, we used it straight out front of the villa. We did not know and should have been told that there’d is a very strong current. It would be easy to get swept out if you go out too far. You need to hold the rope. It could be dangerous. This should be mentioned. We did have a relaxing stay.

it was good to stay

I had a fantastic stay at this Indochine-designed Airbnb in Nusa penida. The style perfectly matched my taste, and the open kitchen with its ocean view was a dream come true. Location is well located, few restaurant and dive center nearby. The only downsides were some issues with the bathroom shower and a dripping faucet. Other than that, I'm statisfied with my stay

A really great place to stay. Waking up to the sound of the waves outside is definitely one of the biggest upsides!

Wonderful week here in Nusa Penida and at La Plage. Snorkeling just outside, endless restaurants up and down the strip and all were amazing. Staff at La Plage made us feel very welcome. Close to spa/massage as well. We want to return!

Best Stay in Nusa Penida 🌊✨ She was incredibly helpful in arranging a bike, and the stay had the most beautiful ocean view. The sound of the waves throughout the night was simply magical. 🌊❤️ Beautiful place, peaceful vibes, and highly recommended! ⭐️

Kamar yang luas dan bersih, akses ke pantai hanya beberapa langkah dari pintu balkon. Saya tidak perlu kemana2, suasana di villa sangat menyenangkan. Fasilitas penunjang yang lengkap seperti hair dryer ukuran besar dan speaker portable yang jernih. Pada malam hari terasa senyap, suara ombak tidak sampai masuk ke dalam kamar. Saya pasti akan kembali lagi.

The most beautiful thing about this place is the beach view right from the beachfront. The staff were very cooperative, friendly, and always willing to help. I had a wonderful experience and would love to visit again.

Un posto meraviglioso, le foto non rendono giustizia. Non mancava nulla, Merry è stata gentilissima a farci fare check-in anticipato e ci ha fatto trovare drink e frutta di benvenuto. Un peccato essere stati solo una notte. Se andate a Nusa Penida soggiornate da loro, non ve ne pentirete. E' un posticino magico. Saluti! :)

Thank you for a wonderful and peaceful stay. The property is spacious, clean, well-equipped, and in an unbeatable beachfront location, making it easy to swim before the afternoon low tide. We especially loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the sea. The bed was very comfortable, check-in was easy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even replacing the water machine within a few hours when an issue arose. We also greatly appreciated the thoughtful touches, including the daily room cleaning, coffee pod refills, beach towels, snorkel masks, bathroom amenities, and the deck bean bag. Additionally, the location is very convenient, sitting across from a convenience store, just a 10-minute ride from the port, and within walking distance of great restaurants and dive shops like Mambo.

The location is amazing and to have the sea views is just awesome. Listening to the waves to fall asleep was the dream.

Our stay at this beachfront Airbnb in Nusa Penida was nothing short of amazing. The location is truly magical, with private beach access directly from the property. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the sunrise, or relaxing with a drink during the sunset, was an unforgettable experience. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. The apartment was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained, making our stay incredibly comfortable. What made the experience even more special was the outstanding hospitality. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special thanks to Una, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She regularly checked in on us, arranged a rental bike for exploring the island, and even organized a taxi to the pier since online ride hailing services aren’t available in Nusa Penida. Her kindness and attentiveness made us feel truly cared for.

We had a wonderful time at Merrys little apartment. The check-in was very easy and there are a lot of nice restaurants around. The view from the little terrace is exceptional. Perfect place to stay for a couple of days at Nusa Penida. Only the flooring really needs to be redone.

We had an absolutely incredible stay. The room is a dream with the terrace leading straight into the ocean. The kitchen is outside which is amazing and the bathroom was spacious and lovely. The staff are incredibly gracious, kind and attentive. The recommendations for activities, restaurants and drivers from Merry was very valuable too. All in all, it was our favorite stay for our 3 weeks in Bali and I miss it even now.

wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit auf Nusa Penida. Die Unterkunft direkt am Meer lädt sehr zum Entspannen ein, gleichzeitig gibt es in naher Umgebung viele schöne Bars und Restaurants am Meer. Das Meer direkt vor der Unterkunft ist richtig schön, viele intakte Korallen was sehr erfreulich war und beim schnorcheln viel Spaß gemacht hat. In Summer eine wunderbare Unterkunft von der aus man die Insel und das Meer wunderbar erkunden kann und zuvor und danach fantastisch entspannen kann.

Wow!!!! A fantastic spot. The view from the room is gorgeous, and the snorkeling right outside the room was our favourite. We had Pak Wayan, recommended to us to by Merry for pickup/dropoff to the ferry and a whole day trip. We could not recommend him more! We also recommend Sushi Island :)

We had a perfect one night stay here! The apartment was incredible. Stunning, clean and far more spacious than we expected from the listing pictures. Everything was exceptional, from Merry’s communication and the straightforward check in to being able to step straight out the back door and into the sea! We loved it!

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut ! Sehr groß und sauber. Der Ausblick war toll. Merry war immer hilfsbereit wenn man mal was gebraucht hat oder fragen hatte. Man hatte paar Restaurants in der Nähe die man zu fuß erreichen konnte. Und das wichtigste es gab gegenüber der Unterkunft ein Markt.

We had one of the most amazing stays at this villa in Nusa Penida. The highlight of the property is definitely the private beach, it made the whole experience feel very special and peaceful. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and having direct access to such a beautiful beach was truly unforgettable. The location of the villa is also excellent, as it is quite close to the harbour and many of the famous restaurants in Nusa Penida, which made getting around very convenient. The interiors of the villa are also very well done, stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely love to come back and stay at this property again in the future.

Absolutely beautiful self catering apartment on the beach. We stayed for 4 nights. We loved waking up early every morning for a snorkel, spotting dolphins very close to the apartment and right in front - about 7am. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby for all meals. Did some cooking in the kitchen. Little mini mart right opposite which made things like milk for the coffee very convenient. Lots of small details were thought of. The woman I communicated with (Una) was wonderful and very helpful. She assisted us in getting some laundry done. It was bigger than expected. We honestly loved everything about our stay.

Great place. Felt right at home. It was very nice to find complimentary fresh fruit platter in fridge. Walk straight onto the beach behind the apartment was highlight. Great to relax and watch the mainland Bali Agung mountain view. The only downside is limited dine out options in that location. And there is no grab food option when I looked on app.

Merry was responsive and helped resolve any issues proactively. We spent 2 days at the place and enjoyed the snorkelling right in our backyard. The location is close to harbour and central point to explore both sides of the island. Good Restraunt are at walking distance. The place may need some upgrades in terms of the interiors , it seems a little dated.

Our stay here was amazing. The private patio overlooking Mt Agung was stunning and the snorkeling right off the patio was some of the best we did anywhere on Nusa Penida. The amenities were great and very easy to access other parts of the island from here. Loved our stay 10/10

This place was a gem. It was gorgeous to wake up, walk straight out our door and snorkel in the reefs right in front of our personal little beach. The aesthetic of the room is stunning. Would love to stay here again. Merry and her crew met us when we arrived with tea and fruit and made us feel so welcome. We accidentally left bit of money in one of the drawers at check out and Merry and her team let us know right away. Honest and lovely team. Can’t wait ti stay again.

What a brilliant stay! Merry was helpful before I even got to the accommodation. Upon booking, I was sent a list of local attractions, restaurants, things to do in area as well as contacts for transportation. This helped me plan my trip in advance. Check in was a seamless process. I was greeted with a warm welcome and was assured that I could receive help at anytime if needed. Now for the actual accommodation. The room was beautiful. It was spacious and had all the amenities you would need or want on a holiday for a comfortable stay. The kitchenette was a lovely space. The view was breath taking! And there was private access to the beach which was literally right out the back door. The pictures do not do the place justice! I highly recommend anyone looking for a comfortable and beautiful place to stay, to book here.

We really enjoyed our stay in Merry's place. The check-in was perfect, the staff was helpful and friendly and welcomed us with a cold drink. The location at the beach is just breathtaking. Where can you fall asleep with the sound of the waves so close to your bed? Not in a lot of places, right? Make sure to get up for sunrise. The light coming in is just BEAUTIFUL!

Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist der Hammer. Una, unsere Housekeeping Lady, war sehr sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben nur positive Erfahrungen mit dieser Unterkunft gemacht und werden es weiterempfehlen.

Merry and her staff we very helpful and kind. They arranged a personal driver for us and he was so kind and ready to show us everything he could. This place was absolutely beautiful and amazing. I would definitely stay here again!

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt und eine schöne Wohnung, es müssten allerdings mal ein paar Reparaturen unternommen werden (zB Dusche). Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und nett! Der Strand ist leider nicht so sauber und wird von vielen Leuten aus der Bar daneben genutzt, sodass man dort nie alleine war.

The place is idilic. In the morning, the sea is right there for you to take a quick bath and in the evenings the beach is the perfect place for a walk. The whole room is very clean and the stuff is very nice, friendly and helpful with any needs you might have. There are many restaurants and beach bars around, as well as a mini mart about 1 minute walking distance.

The stay was absolutly amazing. We were greeted with a fruit plate, fresh ice tea n water. Merry was so kind and helpful with finding anything we needed. It was very upscale. Vi hade 2 nätter i lägenheten och njöt av den privata stranden, bra snorkling, att få somna och vakna till havets brus. Skön säng, supergulliga tjejer, speciellt Una❣️ som skötte städning och all kommunikation. Sushi Island mitt över gatan med SÅ bra sushi mm. Löjligt höga priser på taxi gentemot på Bali, tyvärr. Fint välkomnande med färsk frukt och dryck. Ett plus för tillgång till vatten, the, kaffe och bisquits. 5 av 5 möjliga!

Wow! That's all I can say. Merrys place is amazing I just wish I stayed longer than 1 night! I can't say anything better than WOW! exceeding all expectations! Anyone coming to Nusa Penida should try and book into Merrys place they will not regret it!

If you need a place to unwind and take in the ocean- look no further! The pictures are exactly what you get. The photos though don’t do it justice- this place is MAGIC. Marry leaves fruit, water and coffee/tea for you, and you’re right across the street from a great sushi place and next to a resort where you can go for breakfast. Take advantage of Wayan (Marry’s recommendation for driver/adventures- him and his team are extremely friendly and safe). You’re facing NE so worth waking up for the sunrise!

Worth the money!

Tolles Apartment mit direkten Zugang zu einem kleinen Strand. Praktisch gelegen. Viele kleine Extras wie: genug Wasser, Kekse, Drink und frisches Obst im Kühlschrank zur Begrüßung, tolles Duschgel, spindbox, gutes Internet, die Klimaanlage läuft schon beim einchecken….. rundum super !

The apartment is very nice! Direct access to the beach and good restaurants within walking distance (Penida Colada was our favourite). I think it’s the best area in all Nusa Penida. Merry also helped us to organize the driver for our daytrip. Thanks for everything!

Tolle Unterkunft!

We had a good and pleasant stay in la plage 2 , the host was very responsive and provided a lot of informations about the island (taxi drivers , activities…) The apartment was clean the view was extra ordinary at night and the whole day. I highly recommend it.

Merry's place was lovely, the view incredible and it was great weaking up and falling asleep with the sound of the waves. The accommodation was clean and Una who was part of the staff was very responsive and helpful. The location was good too as it's near several nice restaurants. The only caveat is that taxis are more expensive than in Bali and the roads very narrow so it takes time travelling around Nusa Penida, so I'd recommend renting a scooter. Other than that, everything perfect!! Highly recommended!

We had such an amazing stay at Merry's place. The location was good (we walked to our dive center and had easy access to restaurants), the sea was beautiful, and the Airbnb had everything that we needed. We really enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sea and the stars. We sat outside for hours listening to the waves. Merry and her partner were very responsive and helpful. Honestly, a wonderful experience and we would return in a heartbeat for sure. Also check out Pure Dive and Coral Cafe if you're staying at Merry's, great places!

Great experience to be able to stay right on the beach. Short scooter ride to town or if you don’t mind walking a couple of kms, it’s a nice flat road to walk on. Villa is stunning, great decor and good size. Would recommend this experience. Very responsive hosts. They let me drop luggage off early and had a lot of recommendations for the stay in Nusa.

The host was constantly in contact with me and provided everything needed by a first timer in Nusapenida. The villa is aesthetically designed and decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed the view...you can see the Java Sea from the bedroom with direct access to a private beach. The sunrise views were spectacular with beautifully planted bougainvillea an add on. Breathtaking views! Equipment for snorkelling was provided which we used for underwater viewing right near the beach. Thank you so much! Just 1-2 minutes walk to some very nice beach clubs and restaurants (Sushi Island is highly recommend....just across the street). Mini-supermarket is 2 minutes walking distance. Laundry is 1 minute from the villa. Overall the villa was beyond our expectations. The host took extra care and added some lovely touches (drinks, fruit platter etc.)🤗 We would highly recommend this place for a couple as well as for a family and would definitely book again if we ever visit Nusapenida in the future.

Appartement vraiment très accueillant et chaleureux au bord de l’océan disposant d’un accès privé à la plage. Le logement est parfaitement conforme à la description. Les espaces sont aménagés avec goût et l’équipement permet de passer un séjour confortable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les attentions de Merry (petite salade de fruits, boissons fraiches à l’arrivée, masque et tuba pour le snorkelling…) et la proximité immédiate avec l’océan (idéale pour la baignade le jour et s’endormir sur le bruit des vagues la nuit) Je vous recommande de privilégier l’utilisation d’un véhicule pour tous vos déplacements sur l’île. (Merry communique une liste de contacts si besoin de taxi sur l’île) Vous trouverez tout de même quelques restaurants et magasins à quelques mètres.

This apartment is an absolute gem! It 100% matches the photos, and is even slightly bigger than you’d expect. The terrace with its beach entrance is absolutely marvellous and you can easily spend some relaxing days just here alone. The other treasure her is the host! Evgeniya/Merry is the most caring person we’ve met on Bali/Nusa Penida. She goes beyond to make sure you have a great stay. Local tips, contacts for snorkelling/diving, recommendations for food, recommendations for activities, and so on! She knows the island very well. We felt so at home because of her, her team, and her caring nature that we can only wholeheartedly recommend staying here! It’s an incredible experience!

Such a beautiful and clean place in Nusa Penida! Good restaurants and supermarkets are nearby and we also got a list of recommodations of things to do and visit. Beautiful interior and an amazing view. Communication went super fast. We had an amazing time here!

Внутри все очень чисто, со вкусом оформлено и функционально. Удобная кровать и есть всё необходимое для комфортного проживания, включая кофемашину и даже блендер! (огромный плюс для гостей с маленькими детьми). В ванной комнате качественные туалетные принадлежности. Поблизости с апартаментами есть несколько очень вкусных ресторанов. Видно, что хозяйка вложила всю душу и много сил в создание этих апартаментов. В общем, однозначно рекомендую!

Air BnB was even better than the photos. The view is incredible. House was spotless and welcomed with drinks and a fruit platter. Amenities all easy to access, a walk away from beautiful cafes & restaurants overlooking the beach. Merry was so responsive and helpful, she went above and beyond with everything. Could honestly say this was the best air Bnb’s I’ve evrrbstayed in, of course - by the help of a great host.

We are really liked this apartment! So nice bed sheets, and interior, and view… Oh my god this view so nice! And really cute bathroom we really liked it, we recommend it

When we first stumbled upon this apartment on Airbnb, it seemed almost too good to be true. But woww! Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Ka Merry is so helpful, responsive & friendly. She provided us with all the information we needed. The apartment is beachfront, very beautiful views to the ocean & really comfortable. The kitchen contains everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom are clean and light. The location was incredible. Ka Merry had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. She went way beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Thanks Ka Merry and La Plage for such a wonderful time! We will be back 🤗
