The virtual preview of 🌿The Green Escape awarded By Harper's Bazaar🍃 was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Ubud plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for 🌿The Green Escape awarded By Harper's Bazaar🍃 painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

The place is soook nice!! I can assure its one of the finest houses and interior decorations I’ve ever been at. But there’s too much noise to have a pleasant sleep if you come from a city and are notbused, specially. . First you hear the rooster and many other animals from early morning (4:30 am) on, but second there’s a temple just besides amd you hear the worshipers chants and prayers from 7 am and until 9 pm at least. Anyway I wish yo thank the host’s staff for their hospitality.

とっても素敵なVillaでした。 部屋はどれもセンスが良く、清潔でした。 家族3人で泊まって、bedroom は一つ余るほどの広さだった。6人グループにも余裕のあるVillaだと思います。 スタッフたちはとっても優しかったです。 特に運転手のWayangさんは気配りよく、深夜と早朝の対応も完璧でした。 そして夜料理担当のスタッフ、名前が覚えないのですが、美味しい家庭料理を作ってくれました。私たちはNew Year’s Eve を除き、毎晩Villaで夕食をいただいて、とっても美味しかったです。 唯一不足なのは、隣の騒音です。花火なのか銃なのかの音は滞在の間に毎日鳴り響く、しかも夜遅くまで。とっても大きな音で、しかも連続的、なかなか眠れない日もありました。 もしこれはBali のお祝い時の習慣だとすると、年末年始に静かにお過ごしたい人にはここをおすすめしません。

We occupied all the rooms from the villa, unfortunately, the back room walls are paper thin, you can hear everything and it was right next to a rooster farm. We stayed there for 4 nights and been woken up by the loud rooster every morning from 5:30am and you will not be able to sleep again (it goes on for the rest of the day). I understand we are in the rural area and have animals around. But the back house should never been a room to stay because it is unqualified to sleep at all. We found the earplugs supplied by the host and was later on realized that was the solution. Very disappointed! But on the bright side, all staff and the villa was amazing and beautiful. I just wish we could’ve sleep better.

Beautiful Jungle Villa with great access to Ubud. We enjoyed our stay!

The decor of the place is amazing with lots of space, however service could be much better. There was a dog swimming in our pool( the dog also had an open wound) The dog was removed after I complained but it was back the next day. I have a dog myself but definitely don’t want a strangers dog in my pool. There were other issues that I will not mention as they were fixed. Great place but management needs to work harder if they want it to be a five star property.

Lovely place with lovely people.

Very nice environment especially if you enjoy nature and outdoors. Olivier (the villa manager) was very responsive and came to see us every day to see if we needed anything. The location was very ideal as it was relatively close to the places we wanted to visit in Ubud. Noise was slightly an issue (mainly chickens cockadoo-ing) but the villa provided earplugs so that was useful and considerate of them. Since the villa is surrounded by trees, there are bugs. We had some mosquito bites as well even though we used repellent every day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Les images présentées sur le site correspondent exactement à la réalité. Les chambres sont gigantesques, très propres et très confortables. Notre hôte Virginie nous a été d'une aide très précieuse pour l'organisation de notre séjour avant notre arrivée et sur place. Le personnel fut d'une grande discrétion et d'une infinie gentillesse avec notre famille. Nos enfants ont adorés les ateliers proposés de confection de cerf-volants et de paniers en feuilles de palmiers. Accueilli par le frère de Virginie, ce dernier a été d'une réactivité exemplaire pour organiser tous nos déplacements avec chauffeur (plusieurs fois par jour) et nous proposer diverses activités et bonnes adresses. Les prestations offertes sont dignes d'un établissement hotelier avec un nettoyage des chambres et piscine quotidien ainsi qu'un petit déjeuner délicieusement préparé sur demande. Wifi de très bonne qualité. Possibilité de massages à domicile (quel bonheur...) Je recommande définitivement ce logement et j'y retournerai avec grand plaisir. Encore merci pour votre hospitalité.

Virgine and the second manager of the house, Pelanie welcomed us very friendly. They were so helpful and kind to us. The center of Ubud is like 5-10 minutes by car..Gusman, the driver take us to anywhere we wanted, he is also so kind. Thank you for the breakfast, it was delicous and the programme organizing is very good too. I cant imagine better place to relax.

Photos don’t give this place justice it’s absolutely beautiful and enormous. You have your own compound and it makes you not even want to leave the property it’s so relaxing and your own private resort. Staff was kind and helpful. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful villa in a garden oasis. Monkeys came down from the trees in near by areas which was such a rare and special experience. We loved eating breakfast prepared by the lovely staff. It’s out of the central Ubud area but close enough to travel in (15 mins by bike). Very special

Loved staying at this beautiful villa once again with our family. We stayed last summer and booked again for this June. We had a great meal cooked by the wonderful staff first night - and enjoyed the gorgeous grounds everyday. Our friends booked a villa on the same property, with the same owners, which was also gorgeous. It was great being so close by and spending time at both properties.

We absolutely loved our stay. The villa was stunning, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by such a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. The food was delicious, with every meal being a highlight. Everything felt thoughtful and welcoming, and we left feeling relaxed and well cared for. We would highly recommend this villa and would love to return one day

Photos don't do this place justice, is really is an oasis where you really feel like you're in the jungle. Great privacy, service and convenient location. Only points to consider if you're a light sleeper is the roosters and also the light that enters the room. Other than that, perfect. We'll be back

We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay at this property! The villas are spacious, super comfortable, and spotless, all set in a beautiful, peaceful location. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—always respectful of our privacy, yet made us feel right at home. The food they prepared for us was absolutely delicious. We also loved the location—tucked away in a more local part of Ubud, away from the busy tourist areas. It was the perfect getaway!

we loved the Privacy as we occupied all 4 villas. Despite the constant rain the first 2 days, we had a pleasant time lounging in the wonderful space. The monkeys came out when the sun shined and it was lovely. Breakfast was provided which was a nice surprise! We loved the place and would recommend it to friends and family.

Havuzun yemyeşil bir vadiye bakıyor olması ,büyüklüğü ve güneşlenme alanı kesinlikle çok güzeldi. Her sorumuza çok hızlı yanıt aldık ve ıhtıyaclarımız cok hızlı giderildi. Ev Motorla ubud merkeze yaklasık 10-12 dk uzaklıkta ve grab aracılığıylada yemek hizmeti kolayca sağlanabiliyor. Ama benim size tavsiyem mutlaka şeflerin size evde lokal yemek yapmasına fırsat vermeniz olur . Ekip olarak çok sıkı çalışan herkese teşekkür ederim. Kesinlikle bir gün geri döneceğim.

INCREDIBLE villa. This is perfect for adult couples and friend groups, the rooms are spacious and there’s scope for privacy as well as vibrant group areas. Very thoughtfully designed and built with stylish touches. It’s a true slice of paradise — noting that with such proximity to nature comes a reasonable level of little friends from the surrounding ecosystem, which shouldn’t bother environment lovers. Hope to be back.

Très belle villa très luxueuse! L' impression de vivre au milieu de la jungle. Seuls bémols : on nous avait prévenu des bruits animaliers vu l'emplacement de la villa et cela nous allait parfaitement mais énormément de bruits de poules et de coqs à longueur de journée. Une ferme devait être présente juste à côté de la villa je pense Et omniprésence de personnels dans la villa en tous temps. Mais séjour vraiment très bien et villa vraiment exceptionnelle ! je recommande.

THE BEST Airbnb I have ever been to! Everything about this villa was perfect and I have no negative comments. Beautiful, peaceful place. Staff went above and beyond and were very friendly and helpful.

The Villa is exceptional. Words cannot describe it and neither do the photos. It’s so special. The pool and surroundings are beautiful. Lots of space for kids. The four villas are beautifully styled. The staff are lovely, helpful and breakfasts were great. We had massages at the villa arranged each day. We stayed with two families, three children and it was perfect.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Everyone had their own privacy yet there were nice gathering spaces. Pillows were a bit hard but beds were comfy. One of my favorite villas. Staff were sweet, friendly and discreet.

What an unbelievable place. I’ve been lucky to stay in a lot of nice places around the world but this has to be up there as one of THE BEST EVER!!! The size of the whole place is amazing and it’s truly beautiful. The staff could not do enough for us and were so friendly. The wildlife surrounding us was just magical. This is one of the most unique and well curated properties we’ve stayed, not only in Bali but anywhere in the world. It is clear that the owner thought of every detail. The finishes are amazing, from the bamboo roofs of each building to the beds that are built into the rooms with intricate carvings all the way up to the 20 foot ceilings. The grounds are immaculate, the staff is amazing, there are so many little areas to relax and spread out. The aircon in the room would get down to around 65 degrees at night if that’s your thing. Before I make my final comment I want to remind you this is a five star review. If you are sensitive to noise the roosters next door are relentless. 18 hours a day relentless. There are at least a dozen of them. They do silence from about 10pm to 4am, but that’s it. My wife could tune them out but I struggled during the day. If you’re not sensitive to that then this is one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed.

Le parc également avec la piscine entourée d’une végétation luxuriante est très reposant et soigné. L’accueil et la disponibilité du personnel de la villa sont de grande qualité. Nous avons adoré et recommandons cette villa pour un séjour à Ubud.

This is a lovely property. Helpful staff around when you need them. R5,000 taxi into town. Matches the photos. Plenty of space. We cooked for ourselves mostly if we weren't eating out. Kitchen has some basics and a guest fridge. Eating is outside (as is common) and so insect repellant is always useful addition to your bag. People speak of the roosters: we didn't find them an issue but earplugs solve concerns - too easy.

Truly beautiful and spacious space and warm responsive staff. I can’t figure out why anyone would stay somewhere like the amandari when you could be here:) yes there are roosters but they come with the territory. The pictures and descriptions in the listing are a bit mixed up which had confused me - if you need less than all 4 rooms you can look at all and pick when you arrive! At least 2 have couches/cushions at the ends of the bed that would be fine for a child not wanting to be in a separate room (our 13 y/o slept on one rather than with his sister a few nights) - none directly connect but they’re all close

Absolutely amazing place! Words cannot really describe this beautiful place. It is more beautiful than in the pictures. Everything was thought of and the beauty lies in the details. There was organic and natural mosquito spray provided in each room, earplugs, even a portable speaker to use. Absolutely wonderful! The rooms are SUPER spacious, wonderful views right into the absolutely stunning garden, infinity pool and jungle!! A slice of heaven on earth! The energy is very calm and peaceful and we were able to fully relax. Virginie is a wonderful host. Her staff is absolutely wonderful (they made breakfast for us, helped us with babysitting, cleaned everything spotless, drew the curtains close before the evening for us, provided local recommendations & support). The place and service were incredible, if I could give 10 stars I would. Please do yourself the favor and stay there! Out of almost 15 years of using airbnb for our travels, this has by far been the best place we have stayed!

By far the most amazing place we've ever stayed in Bali, and this was our fifth time on the island. Photos don't do justice to Virginie's place; the area is so vast and peaceful, the houses are incredibly decorated, and it feels like you are in an ethnographic museum with all the wonderful Indonesian crafts and artefacts. The rooms are super spacious and well-maintained. Putu and his team were very helpful; the staff was amazing, discreet, and friendly. We enjoyed breakfasts and an amazing pool much bigger than in the photos. We had monkeys visit us, so my daughter was so happy and amazed with all the nature. Do yourself a favour and book this place. Pejeng village is super peaceful, Ubud is just 5 mins by car or Grab scooter. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you, Virginie and the team, for our memorable holiday!

Great place! Clean, secluded and nice

Just wow. It’s hard to put into words how perfect this place is. It felt like we were on our own small private island. Everything from the service, the complimentary breakfast, and the overall aesthetics of the entire villa were 20/10. I will certainly be back time and time again. Highly recommend.

The villa is great - located in a peaceful area outside of Ubud. Lots of wildlife and village animals nearby. The villa’s team are very attentive and fulfilled all requests. I highly recommend a stay at the Villa. Traffic to Ubud center ranges from 20 to 30 minutes by car. A friendly rabbit visited us as well as monkeys. A group of monkeys came to visit the property 2 of the days. Thanks again to Virginie, Wayan, and staff.

Une réelle immersion en pleine jungle balinaise avec tout le confort et des prestations haut de gamme, le tout assuré par une formidable équipe très réactive. Virginie, Olivier et le personnel de la villa ont été aux petits soins durant tous le séjour en répondant très rapidement à toutes nos demandes. Stranded Villas was exceptional. The views and amenities are 5 star. Virgine was an amazing host. Widi and the staff are an amazing team, they catered to all of our needs.

A lovely villa in a private location near Maya Ubud. The staff were professional and helpful. Overall a positive experience.

We had a great time at the villa, which was even better than we expected. The place is great with separate buildings for each of us, as well as some extra family members. Each of the separate units had its own charm but all were really amazing and lovely in their own way. The interiors were very calming and styled in a relaxing but modern character. We felt completely cared for. The staff were great and looked after us so well. Breakfast was something to look forward to each morning and the grounds and rooms were always spotless and clean. When we needed to eat in , lunch and dinners were delicious. When we wanted to leave the villa, drivers were arranged without any fuss or pressure With the pool and main buildings overlooking the forest we didn’t feel hemmed in nor did we feel our privacy was compromised. Lovely lovely place to stay , we didn’t want to leave.

The villa in reality is much more beautiful than in pictures. The staff are very friendly & helpful, catering to all our needs. We felt very welcome & being at home during our stay. The location is 7-10 minutes from the busy shopping districts in Ubud by Gojek/ taxi. The room is super spacious & clean. The price is very worthy, even in our opinion quite low compared to the beauty of the villa & quality of the service we received. Just one problem is that we were quited disturbed by the relentless crowning of roosters early in the morning. Except for that, everything else was perfect. Highly recommend for other people who also love natural beauty of Bali with big green forest, cute little monkeys, quiet isolated scenery.

We had a wonderful stay at the Stranded Villa in Ubud. The villa is as beautiful as on the photographs, with four very big bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, all tastefully decorated, and a beautiful garden. It felt like a tropical paradise. Putu and the team spoiled us with nice food and helped us organise daily massages, yoga classes and small excursions to discover the area around Ubud. It was the perfect place to relax!

We had a great stay at the Stranded Villa We were picked up at the airport, and our check-in was very smooth even though we arrived late at night. Menu was available for lunch and dinner, but breakfast was complimentary. The food was delicious! Definitely try some food from their menu. Villa is around 15 mins drive away from Ubud center (with traffic), but because of that, the location is very peaceful and private. The host and staff were quick to respond to our requests. They accommodate to your schedule, and you can request more privacy if you desire. You might notice some insects or geckos, but it is very normal for Bali, they're harmless lol. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Ubud!

Better than the pictures!! This place is a little hidden gem. So beautiful and serene. Make sure you’re comfortable ina. Scooter if you’re wanting to get into the hustle and bustle of ubud - typically took us 20/25 minutes with traffic in a scooter. In a car it would have been 1+ hour. 10/10 would reccomend!!

The villa is beautiful. The staff were amazing, working as a team to accommodate all our needs and wants. They had great suggestions as to activities for the family and worked tirelessly to ensure we could do everything we wanted to do during our 9 day stay. I highly recommend this villa!

Amazing hidden little gem

After talking with Ibu we held a beautiful ceremony and the staff could not have been helpful in arranging a Balinese feast of buba guling and traditional Balinese food My daughter her friends and my guests could not have been any happier with our accommodation,breakfast or surroundings,the grounds were kept flawless by the most wonderful staff🙏🏾 Nothing was an inconvenience and we appreciated the attention to detail from ibu and staff Thank you so much for a wonderful week we will definitely be returning to this paradise With gratitude Shayne 🙏🏾🌺

지금껏 가본 에어비앤비 숙소 중에 최고였습니다. 사진보다 실제가 더 좋았고, 일하는 직원들이 정말 친절했어요. 모든 방들이 다 매력있었고, 호스트는 투숙객이 즐거운 우붓 여행을 할 수 있도록 사전에 모든 것을 준비해주었습니다. 또한 투숙 중에 필요한 것들이 보이면 알아서 준비해주는 모습도 정말 인상 깊었어요. 우붓 시내에서 다소 거리가 있어보이지만, 택시로 10분-15분이면 금새 갈 수 있어서 아무런 문제 없이 즐거운 여행을 할 수 있었습니다. 여럿이 우붓에서 평화로운 휴식을 원한다면 강력히 추천합니다.

The responsiveness and generosity of everyone is 5-stars. This is important, especially if you are not a local. The crew was wonderful, especially Widi and the lead girl (sorry, I forgot her name).

This villa was absolutely incredible, and so was everyone who worked there. We had so much information provided, including menus, travel support, massage- as well as tips for Ubud. I would absolutely come back again, and I’m so pleased we got to stay here.

Peaceful location, astounding villa - much better than the photos. Spacious and beautifully appointed individual rooms, gorgeous grounds on the cliff of the rushing river to soothe you to sleep at night, staff are beautiful and the service was beyond compare. I’ve stayed at many villas in Bali and this is the best by far. I can’t wait to return. Thanks Virginie, Wayan, Ibu and Widi.

Our stay here was great. The service is amazing - everyone working there is kind and welcoming, they cook and clean every day, they help you get drivers, masseuses, and do your laundry. The villa is beautiful, and it's surrounded by nature. There were a few bugs in the rooms, but it wasn't much of a problem - there are mosquito nets surrounding the beds.

We really enjoyed our staying in Green Escape. The Villa is amazing and extremally comfortable. Everything was prepared to receive us, very clean and the location is very good. We had during most of the day staff that were there to help us and take care of the villa. The reception was amazing and the staff was always available to help us in whatever we need. We would strongly recommend everyone who might be looking for some place to stay.

Unbelievable setting. Pool literally in the jungle. On the second last morning we had breakfast and a show with a family of monkeys moving through the trees, jumping and swinging. The staff were so lovely and their cooking was awesome. The whole experience was so relaxed. The perfect place to unwind

The place is perfect for those who want to relax and unwind. It is really quiet and calming but it’s not that far (by car/motorcycle) to Ubud center to enjoy the resto and cafe. Definitely not a place for those who can’t stand bugs, a risk that you get from the jungle surroundings.

We could not believe our eyes when we arrived and walked around all the beautiful villas and garden for half an hour to take in all the beautiful details and spaces. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the food is delicious

Exquisitely beautiful place. Garden view towards river is mesmerizing. Not a lot of sun for sunbathing due to all the tall trees. Beautiful large stone bath that actually can be filled with hot water which is unusual as so many villas in Bali have these beautiful large baths but don’t have enough water to fill the bath before it runs cold. Unfortunately WiFi was not great and neither is there good cellphone coverage

It is a very stylish accomodation, with good feeling, and a fantastic staff. Next to it the animal farm is very loud, so the earplug is necessary.

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The photos do not do justice to Stranded Villas. The staff were so so helpful and organised our transport daily. The laundry was very cheap and done so well, incredibly comfy beds and spectacular surroundings.

We wish we had never left after 10 days stay. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was more than expected. Villa is off the beaten path so plan to have a driver take you into town or to a store. WiFi is all over the property so you will always be able to connect if you desire. Honor bar in kitchen is fully stocked with drinks. Laundry service is available for a few dollars and is returned in a package by next day. Staff was always around cleaning and general up keep and ready to be of service. Our rate included breakfast daily which was so convenient and we requested staff for chef made dinners, making restaurant reservations, or help ordering meal delivery to suit numerous dietary restrictions. In fact I sent a picture to the team on what type of birthday cake I wanted to look like and they made it! putu even went to the store to buy the right food product and medication so we didn’t need to. We did not need to wash a single dish! We had 3 generations in 2 villas and half the group had massages scheduled daily. Every request was met as we had our own “concierge” service. Note:You will need to set up a WhatsApp account to communicate with staff more easily such as airport pickup meeting, etc. This was the best Airbnb experience we have had. Highly recommend!

This place is exactly what you can expect from Ubud, Bali. Spectacular environment, outstanding space, and the staffs are beyond amazing. It is simply great spending if you consider to experience of what real Bali is.

I don’t know where to start. This place is paradise and the staff are unbelievably hospitable! Everything you see in the photos are just as you will are at the villa or better! Ebu and Wayan, and Widi (staff) accommodated all of our needs and every room in the house is lovely! From the outdoor showers to the dining area with the swings and hammocks! We will be back one day !

The Villa is perfect for a relaxing get-away. Is perfectly located right in the middle of the country side away from noise pollution of the city. About a 5-10min ride into Ubud. The house will provide transfers upon request for additional cost. Over all a great place with friendly and helpful staff. Thank you all for a great stay.

Virginie and team looked into all our requests and made our stay at Stranded Villa so memorable. Widi, Ibu and Wayan were super ace... so warm and friendly... nothing Was impossible. The daily breakfast that was prepared by Ibu and Wayan was super yummy... everything from the organic sausages, fresh cut fruits, fresh homemade pineapple jam to Raffi’s oats were all so delicious! They also accommodated our extensive dietary needs as some of our friends required gluten, dairy and egg free as well as halal options for breakfast and a bbq dinner on one of the evenings. All of you really made our stay so very special. The beds and pillows were also super comfy so we all slept very well. Thank you once again, team Stranded Villa! We’re already looking forward to staying here again :)

Amazing is an understatement to describe the Stranded Villas Ubud! This is our first family’s trip to Bali and we stayed at W Seminyak, Ritz Nusa Dua and Virginie’s villa in Ubud. What I can say, this villa deserves a five star hotel standard even for a private property. It was beautiful, spotlessly clean and well maintained. With the hospitality provided by in-house team, we feel just like home. They cooked the most delicious meal we had throughout our trip; it was authentic Indonesian but easy on the spices. We also had massage services at our villa and used the car to visit town. The staff are very genuine and always show care. This is the kind of homely hospitality which you can never expect from a hotel chain. Although it is only less than 10 mins drive to the touristy Ubud Centre, the villa is a peaceful and lively place to enjoy the nature. I felt calm enjoying sound of the forest animals, the river, and laughters from my family. I could sit for hours on the patio reading my book, not caring about the tourist attractions everyone urges to go. If you look for a place to relax and spend quality time with your family, look no further - this is the right place for you. Thanks to Virginie, Raf and the team again for a wonderful stay!

True to the photos and actually better. I loved the location ( off the beaten path) which was what we wanted. If I'm honest I will say you'll hear rooster crows but to me it added to the remoteness of the space and I didn't mind it at all. The staff was very accommodating and cooked amazingly! We especially loved our special order seafood grill for our last night which included the largest lobsters and prawns. We loved prompt breakfast daily. We were a group of 4 and rented the entire complex for 4 days. If you're a shutterbug like me the endless photo shooting spots on prim are amazing. I'll be back sooner than later

Our stay was amazing. Due to the lack of flights we had arrived at 8am, when I told Virginie this she told me because no one was staying there the day prior to us arriving that she could provide us with complimentary early check in. The staff were beyond amazing and response time was very quick with literally everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in Ubud.

It took me a little while to right this review, as all previous iterations could not live up to this place. Bottom line it is gorgeous and the pictures do not do it justice. I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff and Virginie as they did everything to make us feel at home. They also provided great and welcomed advice for us as we were first time visitors to Bali. I stayed at the villa with my 3 friends for a vacation and we each were very sad to leave it’s beauty and zen. I also can’t finish this review without mentioning how great the food was! We ate at the villa as much as we could as the food was so delicious. I highly highly recommend this villa if you are looking for beauty, luxury, and an all around wonderful experience. We also stayed at another Virginie property in Kuta and again were blown away by the service and hospitality. We are already planning our next trip back. A beautiful villa in a beautiful setting. Just far enough outside Ubud to get away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the town and everything around it. The staff is amazing and so accommodating. We cant wait to come back someday and enjoy the villa all over again!

The Stranded Villa is a little paradise away from the hustle and bustle of the town yet not too far away. The reality is even better than the images! It’s a wonderful property that speaks of great spaces, beautiful architecture, outsides flowing into the insides, understated style and amazing comfort. We just loved it! The very warm and helpful staff was always ready to help even at short notices. A big thank you to all of them. Being dog lovers we were thrilled to have the two Goldens Simba and F1 around (who are generally at their other property) 😍 We would so love to be back in this gorgeous home away home.

When you think about the perfect villa - Stranded is what your dreams are made of. We're a pair of commercial and lifestyle photographers and can honestly say that the images here simply don't make it justice. The amenities and staff are excellent - from booking to check out. Breakfast and other meals need to be pre-ordered as are cooked on order and on location, so the products need to be sourced in advance from the local markets. You feel absolutely spoiled in a private villas and with private staff, who can help with renting scooter, dropping off laundry, organizing transport and even spa treatments options to be arranged directly at the villa. The design and interiors are absolutely stunning as well, and the outdoor spaces, garden and pool to be all extremely well maintained. It's great to visit with family as can fit 8+ guests, with two master villas and 2 more guest bedrooms. As it's a bit far out from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, so you can enjoy peace and quiet in privacy, but definitely need a scooter or taxi to get around as it's not within walking distance. Overall highly recommend and can't wait to return with friends and family. Thanks again for the best stay Virginie and team!

Phenomenal. A truly remarkable property that exemplifies all that is amazing about a villa in Bali. The property itself is incredible, ~4 separate structures set on a hill that rolls down to an infinity pool overlooking the rain forest. Extremely high quality fit out (e.g. Gaya ceramics) in true balinese style. The gardens are so highly maintained The staff were so friendly and proud of their property. We woke up early each morning to enjoy the massive breakfast they'd cook (coffee, tropical fruits, eggs, pancakes) in the outdoor dining room. We also loved our delicious lunch! Oli the property manager was amazing - organised anything we asked at any time of the day or night even with little notice. I highly recommend this place to stay!

A big round of applause to Raf, Widi, Wayan and company for making this one of the most memorable AirBnB experiences ever! The grounds and rooms are gorgeous. Modern, with stylish touches. Immaculately clean. We loved Widi, Wayan, and the rest of the staff, who helped prepped meals, do laundry, and acquire flowers for a special dinner we arranged. Everyone was super accommodating and friendly. Even though the photos on the listing are already stunning, Raf's place greatly exceeded our expectations.

We had a lovely stay at Rose’s place! The communication with the host was excellent in the lead up to the stay, and we had a very quick check in experience which was fabulous, because our party was super tired and hungry after a big day. The food at the villa is absolutely delicious. On our first night, the staff cooked for us which was absolutely delightful! Highly recommend the menu. Everything was yummy and the kids loved it too. The breakfast is also great - sumptuous and something on the menu for everyone. The scenery, birdlife and joglo style accomodation was a real taste of true Bali. It rained lots but we had a wonderful time anyway, playing games and enjoying the huge outdoor stone bath. The kids had a “rain bath” which was really novel. Thanks for hosting us for our Ubud getaway!

Place is downright amazing!

Stranded Villas is an exceptional and private compound near a small village, above the river, regularly visited by monkeys in the surrounding jungle. It is serene and comfortable, with discrete but attentive staff who are anxious to ensure everything works just as you want it. Three generations of our family stayed, and enjoyed the time of our lives. The ambience, the facilities and the service were wonderful.

The house is way better than the pictures show. The staff is tremendous and make you feel right away at home. We tried a few local restaurants during our stay, including the restaurant at the Four Seasons, but prefer the scenery, atmosphere and cooking at the house, by a mile. My wife and 4 kids are sad since we have left.

This place is insane. I can’t describe to much but this is outstanding for my retreat with friends.

We had the most amazing time at Stranded Villas in Ubud. The location is so peaceful and beautiful. The villa is literally in the middle of the jungle and hearing the jungle noises and seeing monkeys in the trees right by the pool was an experience we’ll never forget. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and all in all the rooms were well equipped. All meals we had were delicious. The breakfast was outstanding. Even with a stunning location like this, we still felt the best part of our stay was the staff. They were so helpful and really made us feel well taken care of. They made sure we had everything we could ask for on a perfect holiday; massages, rides to town, drinks, food... Thank you so much for looking after us!

A truly unique place. We stayed the first half of our vacation at the Aman Villas but we liked this place much more. An incredible eye for detail and simple beauty. We will certainly be back.

What a combination of comfort, cleanliness, warm hospitality and just the PERFECT setting. We were so torn between staying put in the Villa and going out sightseeing - the Villa was an experience by itself. And the cherry on the cake were the two absolute adorables Simba and Heaven (the two furries) Totally loved the place and strongly recommend it to anyone looking at Bali! P.S. : A short walk away is an amazing little cafe amid the rice fields. Do check it out.

Stranded Villa is located in a nice and quiet area only a 10 min drive from the city centre. The villa is as beautiful as on the pictures with it’s tropical garden and pool overlooking the river valley. The staff is helpfull and prepares a good breakfast

We have spend an amazing peaceful and relaxing week at this stunning villa, and it truly is beautiful. The owners have designed this amazing house with reclaimed materials and beautiful local furniture, it truly is paradise, so stylish yet simple, it is what dreams are made of 😍 The staff have been so accomodating, nothing is too much. We wanted to be well and truly stranded here for ever! Ebu deserves a special mention about her fabulous cooking every day and her banana fritters were the best ever! Wayan was amazing, so helpful and kind. She and the other staff were so professional, this house was cleaned in whirlwind pace so not to disrupt the days enjoyment of the villa, it was immaculate here, every floor was mopped, even the lawn got swept daily with a broom! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The owners have got this place just perfect, the design, the privacy, the service, the masseuses, the decoration, everything was excellent. The stranded villa in Ubud is absolutely stunning! Our group had an amazing experience of a lifetime. Upon entering you are surrounded by the luscious green jungle and nature. All of the rooms are open, have comfortable beds, stunning outdoor showers, air conditioning and bug nets! Make sure to enjoy the pool, spend time in the property swing and relax. Now onto the staff and service experience. Oli the owner runs a well run crew who are all friendly and super accommodating. They helped us arrange our airport transfers, daily meals/chefs (super tasty breakfast and traditional Balinese dishes for dinner!) as well as outside activities and recommendations. They are able to work with any dietary restrictions and allergy concerns (we had two in our group). It was super top notch and really lended to our positive time at the Villa. Last but certainly not least, we had the pleasure of a fun visit from the owners golden retrievers who brought smiles to all of our faces! I highly recommend staying here in Ubud!!

Our time at the villa was just amazing!! We were a family with 3 generations, Grand parents/uncle, parents, kids and each one is able to have its own space. It is a beautiful house which combines great luxury with the typical Balinese way of life. It is build in the traditional Balinese way with beautiful materials to mix tradition and modernity. We really loved every second of our stay and we've especially enjoyed the excellent service and the delicious food prepared by the cooks in the villa. The owner was always checking on us to see if we needed anything and gave us great recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, massage, etc.... This villa is highly recommended for everyone who looks for an unforgettable adventure in Bali. No matter how full of adventures your days was, the villa and its staff will always make you feel like coming back home.

As a family, We had a wonderful time staying at stranded villas. From the first enquiry with Virginie to the point we left we had a memorable time. The property is ten minutes from Ubud and yet you feel like you are miles from anywhere in a lovely village. Best of both worlds. Stunning location and property. We arrived at 1.30am from UK and staff were all there to meet us, Widi and all the team made us feel so welcome at all times and we had some fantastic home cooking. Also they made kites and weaved baskets with our youngest. Could not have been nicer. Wayan was a wonderful tour guide showing us everything to see in the region. Great for a family with 5 kids between 10 and 22 - something to do for everyone.

The villa is so beautifully settled in the middle of the jungle we didn’t want to leave! The place is sparkling clean, although some occasional leaves can be found in the pool (which, by the way, is AMAZING), but the staff is always there to clean it. It’s a little away from Ubud center, but you can easily get there by car or by motorbike. Breakfasts were very nice, including amazing homemade jams. If you are a big family or a group of friends this is a place for you!

Staying at the villa is a wonderful experience. The design and detail is very tasteful - only natural flooring and woodwork, spacious villas, plenty of storage for longer stays. Very quiet location (nature sounds only) just a short drive (or cycle if you can manage the steep hill) from Ubud. Everything was impeccably clean and well maintained. The staff are top notch - helpful, responsive within minutes to all requests. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. We also requested lunches and dinners (at extra cost) and the food cooked on site ranked with the best restaurants on Ubud but at very reasonable prices. Overall this is a highly recommended location for a luxurious jungle-Bali gataway for a family or a group of friends.

Beautiful villa. All rooms accessible from the garden. Lovely attentive yet discrete service. The villa has lovely finishes. No plastic, pipes or air con unit ma visible. Beautiful mix of traditional Javanese architecture and modern bathroom furniture opened on to the nature. Big windows allowing for light and the view. Not walkable distance from Ubud sine the road is not pedestrian friendly, but the villa arranged for a van at a very reasonable price. The villa is located in a cute village with rice paddies. We would definitely come back!

Située dans un petit village très proche d'Ubud, la Villa Stranded permet de découvrir Bali sans être dans l'effervescence touristique d'Ubud. La Villa est magnifique et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le personnel a été aux petits soins avec nous. Nous y étions pendant les fêtes de Galungan, et ils nous ont invité chez eux pour découvrir leurs rites à cette occasion. Merci vraiment du fond du coeur à toute l'équipe. Nous recommandons ce lieu sans hésiter !

Séjour très agréable dans un espace privé très grand pour Ubud ! Les bungalows sont immenses et magnifiquement décorés. Chacun est assez espace et possèdent tous leur petite terrasse ou coin salon privé. La sieste dans le hamac avec vue sur la piscine et la forêt est magique. Le personnel est au petit soin et fait tout son possible pour que nous nous sentions chez nous. Les petits déjeuner et les repas préparés sont excellents. La masseuse Wayan est à ne pas louper ;-) La villa se trouve dans un petit village calme à seulement 10min en scooter du centre d’Ubud, nous reviendrons c’est sur, en famille entre amis ou en amoureux ;-)

This place was an oasis. Our group had such an amazing time, we had a hard time leaving at all to go see the sites because all we wanted to do was relax in the villa. The team was amazing as well- they were able to arrange many extra meals for us, in house massages, rides into town, etc. You feel very secluded and the scenery and architecture is breathtaking. Make sure to bring some bug spray because you are in the jungle, but I would go back and recommend this place in a heart beat! Thank you Annie and team for a wonderful experience!

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour dans cette belle villa qui est vraiment au coeur de la jungle proche d'Ubud. (15 min environ en voiture et transfert très facile à organiser). Ubud, petite ville authentique, très agréable et animée située au centre de l'île ce qui permet de rayonner tout autour pour découvrir pleinement Bali. Les chambres de la villa sont spacieuses, confortables, ont chacune leur salle d'eau. Le jardin ainsi que la piscine sont très agréables avec une vue magnifique. Le personnel est très dévoué et toujours très attentif à nos souhaits tant pour l'entretien de la villa que pour nous préparer de très bons petits déjeuners et repas. Autre point fort, la réactivité de notre hôte pour organiser ou modifier des réservations de restaurants, d'activités, d'excursions... ainsi que tous ses précieux conseils pour parfaire notre séjour et découvrir au mieux l'île de Bali. Nous recommandons vivement cette villa qui propose, si on le souhaite, beaucoup plus qu'une simple location mais une prise en charge digne d'un organisme de voyage.

Très belle maison au calme et en pleine nature Vue au top de la piscine (un poil froide mais nous y étions en saison "hiver") Très jolie déco Mention spéciale pour la baignoire géante de la grande chambre 👍 Très bonne équipe qui nous bichonne tout au long du séjour. Ils sont toujours la Pour de bons conseils. Petit bémol parce qu'il en faut : les sèche-cheveux manquent de puissance (un peu long à sécher les cheveux longs ) mais franchement je n'ai que ça à dire 😉

Nous avons passé 3 jours dans cette magnifique villa et nous regrettons de ne pas être restés plus longtemps. Les chambres sont sublimes en déco, avec tout le confort et très spacieuses. Le staff est très efficace et sympathique, que ce soit le check in, l'équipe sur place. Mention spéciale à la création d'un groupe whatsapp reliant les membres du staff et nous. Cela permettait de pouvoir communiquer facilement et a été très utile. Le rapport qualité/prix ext excellent !

Stranded Villas was everything we were expecting and more. It has been one of the most charming places we have ever stayed with my family. I would like to give an special mention to the personal in the house who delight us with amazing Indonesian food and were so nice with us. We would definitely come back the next time we go to Bali. Had a wonderful stay at Stranded! Location is perfect - quiet but very close to Ubud center. Peaceful and beautiful property and rooms. Host was very attentive, informative and helpful throughout our stay. The villa staff were pleasant and non intrusive. Staff also helped arrange cars, make dining reservations, ordering delivery etc. Massively helpful and made our stay very easy and seamless. The pool appears small at first but once you're in - it's perfect! It's great that breakfast is included. We'll definitely stay there again Thank you!!

The place is amazing. It's a great place to unwind. Annie and the staff knew we were coming in late and offered to prepare a meal for us which was fantastic. The staff is so accommodating. They will do anything they can to meet your needs. They were able to make fresh mixed juices every morning for us. We will definitely stay there again!

This place is truly amazing. We were a group of 5 and wanted a getaway from the city. This place was everything we wanted.. surrounded by nature, privacy, comfort. The decor and cleanliness was beyond expectation. We have been to a few villas in bali and despite being in the nature, we had no issues with mosquitoes. The property was a home we all dream about and wish we had a longer stay. The hospitality was seamless, communications was almost instant and host was very accommodating to all our requests. The dinner we had onsite was delicious and the massages we had specially arranged for us was really good too. If I returned to ubud, this would be my top choice of accommodation.

We stayed at Stranded Villa for a family reunion and birthday celebration. The location was a peaceful oasis and the staff, facilities, design aesthetics and outstanding personal assistance were perfect for our needs. The host went out of his way to help with all our needs: from organizing inhouse massage treatments, referring us to local contacts for tailoring and healing and helping us to organise an unforgettable birthday party. I have never experienced such a high level of genuine attention and care like this. We especially loved the peaceful nature setting, the regal bedrooms and the friendly staff. For me, this experience is preferable to hotels and resorts any day.

We stayed at Stranded Villas with my extended family. We loved every minute of our stay. The villa is absolutely gorgeous and everything you would want in a Bali holiday. The staff were friendly and made us delicious breakfast every morning. Olivier was super helpful and very accommodating. It was my sister's birthday and we wanted to do something special for her at the villa, so Olivier organised the delicious dinner, the beautiful decorations and he even arranged the local children to come and perform a Balinese dance for us. Everything was just perfect and my sister was over the moon!! Thank you Virginie and Olivier for Your wonderful hospitality and for sharing your lovely villa with us.

I came with a group of 7 to Virginie's place and our expectations were blown away by the hospitality and graciousness of Olivier and his staff. Furthermore, the property exceeded all descriptions and was a welcome paradise to the hustle and bustle of tourist-centric Ubud. The breakfast service was superb every morning and a great way to start the day. More over, lunches and dinners cooked by the staff at the house were often more preferable than going out to eat. We ended up only having dinner out one night (with a excellent recommendation from Olivier) since the food and property were that great! The property is very well maintained and each of the separate villas provide a unique and idyllic setting while offering complete privacy. I cannot recommend this property enough and Virginie, Olivier, and their staff will go above and beyond to make your trip memorable with whatever requests you may have. We hope to return next year!

The Stranded villa is a beautiful collection of rooms and buildings - set amidst the living jungle with deafening but relaxing sounds of birds and other creatures. There's a lot of energy here for such a relaxing place. Very nice home cooked food too!

The villa is a very special place - the reclaimed wood, outdoor bathrooms, minimalist and tasteful decor, make it a unique and beautiful experience. We have so many memories we treasure, from hanging out in the dining area, to relaxing in the pool overlooking the trees in the valley. But it was the personal touches that made it an incredible holiday - from lending us children's books for our toddler to the patient answering of our many questions about Bali, and the friendliness and warmth of the household staff.

La disponibilité du personnel est remarquable, pour la préparation des repas (délicieux) et des petits déjeuners (a la carte), le service est discret et efficace, tout fonctionne parfaitement dans la villa et la propreté est irréprochable. La situation de la villa est idéale calme et proche du centre d'Ubud. Le Wiifi fonctionne très bien et il y a même un téléphone portable local pour joindre l’équipe de la villa pendant les déplacements. Merci tout particulièrement a Olivier qui du premier au dernier jour a exhaussé nos désirs de visite et de services a la hauteur d'un clef d'or de palace... (véhicules avec chauffeurs, conseils sur les itinéraires, massages, réservations de spectacles et repas, ...) le tout avec une gentillesse et une rapidité sans défaut. Merci aussi a Virginie qui a répondu avec grande efficacité a toutes nos demandes avant notre arrivée sur place.

Our stay at Virginie's place managed to exceed our expectations. As a small group of friends we had enough privacy each and really enjoyed using each of the communal spaces. if anything I would only suggest making the stay even longer! Ours was only 3 nights which didn't really give us the opportunity to spend as much time at the accommodation as we would have liked too! From beautiful wooden interiors to tasteful local art throughout the establishment the villas gave the opportunity for us to enjoy traditional Balinese architecture and interiors at its finest. I choose this Villa to satisfy my aunty from Hong Kong and my big families who would like to enjoy Bali perhaps for the last time since they have been aging. Initially, I had difficulty in choosing the best options available since I am a perfectionist. However, after experiencing this Villa , I have no single regret. The first and foremost reason is that the host (Mrs. Virginie and Mr. Olivier) are really attentive toward us the guest. They take time to cater us, accompany us during satisfying breakfast, and ensure that our needs are fulfilled. Their amicable gesture really comfort us. Secondly, The Villa is unique in its style in the way that the Villa is well maintained and instill quintessentially Balinese style. It is enormous in its scale and surrounded by lush greenery which are perfect for those who are looking for quite and serene place. In addition, the room is spacious, so it is suitable for family gathering. As my big family comprises of local and international family member, I strongly recommend this Villa to anyone who would like to immerse in Balinese culture as well as savoring 5 star service. We had an great time in Ubud at Valerie's place. The house is beautiful in the middle of the jungle and very near Ubud. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Olivier has been super available, kind and helpful to organise activities and much more than you can expect from a simple airbnb. We highly recommend Valerie's airbnb.

Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve dans un endroit au style et l'âme balinais, avec une déco raffinée et spectaculaire et un sens du détail et des prestations digne des palaces. Le personnel issu du village attenant à la propriété est très sympathique et prévenant. Les petits-déjeuners sont délicieux (nous regrettons déjà les pancakes à la banane !). Pour couronner le tout, notre hôte Olivier s'est occupé entièrement de notre séjour : réservation des taxis, des excursions, des restaurants, etc... Et même de l'organisation à la villa d'activités pour les enfants (atelier fabrication cerf-volant) et pour les grands (massage traditionnel balinais). Merci encore à Olivier pour son accueil et ces précieux conseils.

This is one of the few places where reality exceeds all pictures! From the minute we arrived Olivier and his staff made us feel at home. The property is stunning and conveniently located close to Ubud center yet comfortably and quietly away from the hustle and bustle. Most amazing place ever. Not only is it beautifully designed and maintained, the staff and hosts are exeptionallly nice. We had such a pleasant stay here. There are also two lovely dogs on the property who are really fun to play with. I wish AirBNB let me put up pictures from my stay here! Some of my best memories from Ubud. This place is amazing! :) The rooms are massive and very tastefully decorated, the pool is perfect for relaxing by and the staff are extremely helpful. Through Virginie and her team you can easily organise transport into Ubud, book masseuses to come to the place and make dinner reservations. There were 4 of us in our early thirties looking for a place to get away from it all for the weekend and it certainly exceeded expectations! This place would suit all group types from families to couples to friends. Couldn't recommend it more!

Superb place! We went two families together and the space was perfect for us. The villas were incredibly elegant with very high-end finishes. The staff were very friendly and the owner, Olivier was always available on WhatsApp to help organise in-house massages (best massage I've been had BTW), cars, guides, etc. I would recommend hiring a car and driver for the duration of your stay as it is not that expensive and makes it much easier to get around, although most restaurants deliver - we used Made, really sweet guy and helped us a lot. The location of the villa is a 10 minute drive from ubud in a small village. Yet it's very private and secure. Can't wait to go back.

Our stay at Stranded Villas was excellent. Virginie was very quick to respond to all my queries. Upon arrival the good service continued through the on-site staff. Olivier was a brilliant host, very accommodating, ready to help with any request we had and offering plenty of advice about Bali. The Villas are extremely spacious, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. Its exclusive architecture combines Balinese charme with modern comfort. We all loved the outdoor bathrooms. The place is even nicer than on the pictures. All staff on site was extremely friendly and attentive (they beautifully decorated the table with flowers for our daughter's birthday) and the local specialities they cooked were delicious. We can definitely recommend the place.

We had high expectations of the villa when we saw the pictures and the actual experience turned out to be even better! Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, tasteful decorations, high-end facilities and amazing Pool! (Too bad we did not get a chance to really swim there as the weather was a bit cold when we were at the villa) Our hosts have been extremely friendly and helpful. Virginie and Olivier always give timely answers to all the questions and requests. The staff there was very sweet, too! Attentive yet keep just the right distance. The breakfast is amazing—gotta try the omelette with tomato and mushroom. Before we arrived, I was actually thinking “it would be nice to have a wireless speaker, a Bose Bluetooth Soundlink would be perfect” when we hang out at the villa and guess what? They have one there! For those who are looking for a chance to embrace the nature, this is definitely the place to go! PS: Remember to always put on bug spray (provided at the villa as well) as mosquito in the mountain can be crazy.

From the moment we were picked up by the ever smiling Made, we knew this would be a great trip! The Villa complex is absolutely beautiful - modern Bali huts with intricately carved wood and floor to ceiling glass windows the can all open to the central yard with amazing infinity pool overlooking the jungle and canyon below. The villas is lovingly cared for by several families within the village, just outside central Ubud. Virginie and Olivier helped coordinate a WhatsApp group with all the available drivers, who were always available to drive us wherever we needed to go, as well as be our impromptu tour guides. Although the villa is modern and very comfortable, bordering on luxurious...you are still in the village, and as you walk back through rice fields or int he car, everyone was so friendly - children running up to you to say "Hello!, we were even invited to several processions for one of the festivals taken place just outside our door. The Balinese culture and people are world famous, and we felt very connected tot hat by staying in the Villa. Breakfasts were delicious - Nasi Goreng, Banana pancakes, freshly squeezed papaya juice, French pressed Balinese coffee...the ladies doing the cooking were phenomenal (and also always available to make lunch or dinner for a small charge). Local, exotic, beautiful, comfortable, fun...we had it all by staying here and we can't thank the hosts Virginie and Olivie enough, as well as MAde, Gusman, the ladies cooking and cleaning. We will absolutely be back!!

This place was heaven on Earth! Truly - we loved every minute here!! The compound has a very special, warm atmosphere and I really felt like I was in the Bali of my childhood dreams. The villas are each unique and really embody the word "special." There is nothing else like them anywhere! If you love reclaimed wood, bamboo, unusual details, art and more - this is the place for you. Even better? The host was AMAZING - catering to our every needs (even loaning my children clothes!) The cook is REALLY good! Our young kids thought it was lots of fun taking a shower "outside" and really enjoyed the garden and pool. Just know that if you stay here, the sounds of nature will be your morning alarm clock (which I thought was pretty cool!) Overall, we couldn't have had a better experience. From my young children to my mother-in-law in her late 70s, we all really enjoyed our stay. And of course Ubud is Ubud - a fabulous place for a vacation.

A group of seven of us stayed at this property for 5 nights beginning in late December. We found every aspect of our stay enjoyable. The property is stunning!!! It is secluded in an area with rice paddies and backs up to a ravine so there is no property adjacent to the back side where the pool is located, which is nice for privacy and enjoyment of the view/nature. Additionally, there are three high walls surrounding the three sides of the property which afford privacy as well. There are four villas each with ensuite bathrooms. Three of the four bathrooms are outdoors, but all are comfortably private. There is a communal area with a high-speed ceiling fan and large dining table. There is a separate kitchen building which is fully stocked and included two refrigerators. The pool is shallow and long and the temperature is just right. Each morning staff enter the property to prepare breakfast of your choosing from a menu. It’s delicious and timely. Coffee/tea/juice/milk is served along with breakfast. After breakfast the staff clean the villas extensively including replacing the towels daily. The grounds staff also come to maintain the landscaping and a pool man cleaned the pool at least three times during our stay. We felt very safe on the property and the staff made us feel welcome, accommodated our needs, were present, but not intrusive and most certainly friendly.

Amazing, unforgettable experience and will come back as soon as I can. The Villa is stunning, in all ways possible. It's within a traditional Balinese village, so we could watch the kids go to school and walk around the surrounding rice fields. The staff of the house is truly lovely, and Olivier, our host, was unbelievably helpful and gave us the best tips in Ubud, things that you won't find in any guide. He even gave us a local phone to call him. The breakfasts in the villa were insane! I fell in love with Ubud. Also, I must say,the villa is done with such taste, all reclaimed wood and antique ikat, old wood carvings. 10 out of 10! Also, If you decide to book a driver, both Gusman and Ketut were such good sports, and unlike other tourist locations, no one EVER tried to push anything on us. The recommendations were 100% sincere.

Malgré l'arrivée tardive de notre avion nous avons été accueillit à merveille avec un pick up bien organisé pour nous conduire à la villa ou nous attendais Olivier et le staff avec un délicieux diner. La villa est superbe, les chambres immenses et la déco balinaise crée une atmosphère propice au repos et à la détente. Tout au long de notre séjour Olivier nous a été d'une aide précieuse pour organiser toutes nos activités en se rendant disponible quand nous avions besoin de lui. Ibu Gedder et tout le staff ont été au petits soins en nous préparant de bons petit-déjeuners et en gardant la villa impeccable et tout ca en restant très discret. En bref je vous recommande chaudement la villa de Virginie et Olivier, je ne manquerais pas séjourner à nouveau chez eux si je reviens à Bali!

Virginie and Olivier have been great hosts. They helped us from the very beginning of our trip, especially to find their amazing villa. The villa is simply beautiful, it's heaven on earth. The rooms are massive and spacious, and everything was perfectly clean. The forest infinity pool was amazing, and we loved hearing the sound of the forest especially in the morning. Another great part of this experience has been the villa staff. Every morning the Balinese staff made us some great and dreamy breakfast, and for two night they even came for cooking an amazing dinner. Overall the experience has been great, I recommend Virginie's villa to everyone. I can definitely say, this is the best Air Bnb place I ever stay in my life!!! Once again, thank you Olivier and Virginie for everything. We cannot wait to go back to Bali and be your guests once again!

We spent an entire week here and had a great time. We were met at the villa by the staff and given information to help us with our stay and set up dinner delivery for us that night. They even went out and bought us a bunch of beer! The villa is in a regular neighborhood, not surrounded by tourists. It's a little bit of a drive to town, not walking distance. We had small kids so we didn't trust getting scooters on the uneven, bumpy roads. However, the driver was professional, courteous, always on time, and took us wherever we wanted to go. When my 5 year old daughter decided to pet a street dog and get bit, he made calls and drove us around Ubud to find us a place to get seen and had the rabies shots (she is fine; it was just a scratch, but we wanted to be prudent). Breakfast was cooked every morning by the staff and was absolutely delicious. They even cooked us dinner on two occasions, which was far cheaper than going out to eat but every bit as delicious. The staff also loved our children and were so sweet. The villa was lovely. The rooms were beautiful, beds comfortable, hot water was consistent, and the entire place very clean. We had trouble with the AC in one room, unfortunately. They brought out people to look at it, and it seemed fixed, but quit in the middle of the night again. This was our only issue with the villa. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the doors had screens, as it was quite cool at night. But being out in the jungle, there were creatures we didn't want to wake up to in our room. Our only other complaint (which really isn't a complaint) is that we wished the pool was heated. The water was quite cold. To be fair, though, we were there in July, and it's probably quite nice if you visit during the summer months. Highly recommend this villa! We had such a great time. I wish we could have stayed longer.
