Exploring Ubud Jungle Oasis, Sauna, Hot Tub, Cold Plunge left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Ubud Jungle Oasis, Sauna, Hot Tub, Cold Plunge was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Kabupaten Gianyar plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Ubud Jungle Oasis, Sauna, Hot Tub, Cold Plunge painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
This villa is in urgent need of maintenance. It is extremely dirty (i cannot post pictures but I would if I could). Please read reviews in more details and you will find guests who raised similar issues. You will also find a response from villa manager who admits that mosquito nets are cleaned only twice a year (yuck). Once upon a time, the villa must have been nice but it is now in terrible shape due the lack of maintenance and design/architectural flaws. The owners also need to invest in pest control as we saw rats multiple time including in the bed area. It is also located down a pretty run down street that is not lit at night. We ate all of our meals outside because we were so grossed out by the kitchen and the vermin that we could not reasonably eat in the villa. Please note that The manager did ask us to post a 5* review despite being aware of these issues and made tons of excuses regarding the issues we raised. This villa charges luxury rate but is far from a luxury place. Value is extremely poor.
This is a difficult review to write given the other glowing impressions left by other travellers, but if you delve a little deeper into those reviews you will find others who corroborate our opinion of Villa Akasa. My wife and I have been visiting Bali since the 80's, as my father still lives in Denpasar. So do bear in mind that we are not new tourists here and have stayed in countless local villas and hotels over the years. Upon leaving the villa I received a message from the host asking us to not leave a review. This has never happened to me before. Firstly, and on the positive side, the location is fantastic and the properly itself is wonderfully designed. I imagine when it was first opened and before all the wear and tear, it would have been absolutely stunning. Backing on to the trees and the river really makes you feel that you are in Ubud. It’s very private and secluded, away from the crowds. However, first impressions quickly gave way to disappointment relating to one main issue - the place is not at all clean. I understand that nothing can be spotless in Bali but the place is in real need of a deep clean freshening up. My wife discovered the fridge teeming with rotten food - some leftover from 2017. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the fridge was 3/4 full of food which needed throwing away. She took it all out of the fridge and left it on the side and the next morning had to ask the staff to clean the fridge. They had not even noticed how dirty it all was - it was vomit inducing. We have photos but sadly Airbnb do not allow posting. The kitchen in general is pretty unhygienic and when she asked what it was cleaned with she was told “water, just water”. No spray to clean the sides and sink that the geckos leave droppings all over. Not ideal. One of the bedroom doors doesn’t close properly and leaves a 1.5” gap all night long. When I asked for a key I was told there wasn’t one. This was mentioned by another reviewer, that neither of the bedroom doors can be locked. The place is in desperate need of a lick of paint and the "deep clean" they are instructed to do each afternoon (from the cleaning notes pinned on the fridge) doesn’t happen as the three ladies looking after the place leave by 12/1pm. I agree with Sandra in another review that the cushions could do with being cleaned and refreshed. The mattresses are very comfortable and very clean, but the pillows? Well, don’t look unless you want to be put off like us and then ending up going off to buy your own. The rugs you see in the pictures look and feel like they have a whole ecosystem going on in them. Firstly, and on the positive side, Dewi who manages the property and who was our the driver was fantastic. His communication was excellent, he was very friendly and accommodating, punctual and very knowledgeable. The design of the property is great, it backs onto a ravine with the river at the bottom. All the views are of the lush green trees and vegetation and it really makes you feel that you are in Ubud. It’s very private, secluded and relaxing. When the villa was new I think it would have been really spectacular, however, it has had significant wear and tear and now feels a bit dirty, tired and run down. In particular the bathroom and kitchen areas are grimy and could do with an immediate and thorough deep clean. I think it’s well overdue for a major renovation and maintenance especially considering the price. We paid approximately $375 AUD per night (including cleaning and service fee) and I just don’t see any value given the current poor state of the villa.
Quiet area to stay. Nice pool and kept clean ish. Could do with some tidy ups (e.g big stains on day beds). House is big with lots of room to relax. A few let downs, 1. Awful smell of rubbish in the afternoons as lots of rubbish is dumped on the hill next door. Quite bad one day we had to move from the pool area. 2. Located next to factories and locals work places so not a lot of places to eat around it or look at. Kind of in a funny area! You have to walk down a long driveway/alleyway to access, I wouldn’t have felt safe walking down alone or with my girl friends. Have to catch a taxi into town. You could walk but there isn’t really a footpath and heaps of massive holes into the drain area so have to be careful if walking. 3. Locals practise their music in a hall closeby so lots of sounds late into the night which slightly disturbed the peaceful sounds of the nature. Dewa is easy to contact and happy to drive you wherever but we did find his prices a lot higher than other taxis or drivers, especially if used for a day. Overall a relaxing and ok experience.
We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Net uit de drukte v Ubud. Prachtige ligging en tuin. Er is geregeld voor ons gekookt. Fantastisch.
Amazing villa, great amenities, lovely host, fantastic food. Dewa and his team were amazing, from check-in and guiding us to the villa (down a narrow lane way) to breakfast, dinner and everything in between. But do beware the mosquitoes. Dewa provides repellent, but no mosquito coils or anything to keep the mozzies away. The villa itself was beautiful - wonderful pool, hot tub, steam room. The lush surrounds made it feel very private. A highlight was the home cooked meal - just delicious. We would definitely come again.
Good experience which truly brought the nature of Ubud into the Airbnb, with outdoor bathrooms and an open-plan living space — you really are in the jungle! This brings some challenges when storing food in the kitchen; only the fridge was a safe haven from wildlife, although it was entertaining to be joined by the frogs and lizards for dinner. Very responsive and helpful host in Dewa, attentive and friendly staff keeping a partial hotel service where needed. Thank you.
Dewa was an amazing host and guide! He allowed our group to check in earlier than check in time which was great and picked us up from our previous resort. He was also very knowledgeable about what was happening in Bali like if the road was closed etc. Definitely hire Dewa if you end up staying in the villa as your day driver. I would have loved to rate the villa 5 stars but there were some issues/inconveniences. -the jacuzzi did not warm up. It was only on the second day which was our last day that we decided to try it. The water wasn’t cold nor was it hot but I didn’t want to bother messaging Dewa about it at 9pm when we were leaving the next day at 6am. -the place is definitely not conducive for young children (wish it was listed in the booking); glass doors, steep, no barriers etc. - the in house partner spa which is called Hessa Spa was great but ended up finishing 15 min earlier than schedule (not the fault of the villa but definitely need to be brought up with their partner Spa)
es una villa de lujo, está muy limpia y bien decorada, tiene productos de aseo para que los huéspedes utilicen, pensaron en cada detalle;el desayuno es bueno y lo ofrecen flotante sin ningún costo. las fotos en la piscina quedan geniales, el lugar donde esta el spa es muy relajante pero los servicios de masajes me parecen que no concuerdan con el precio promedio de Ubud, aunque esto es opcional. un punto malo para algunas personas es que si no les gustan los sapos, esta no es su villa porque en la noche mientras vas caminando por el camino de la carretera principa a la casa "1 minuto aproximadamente" afuera de la puerta esta infestado de sapos y adentro de la villa es peor, ha muchísimos sapos por todo lado, aunque son inofensivos pueden ser desagradables, prácticamente utilizamos las áreas sociales únicamente en el día. En general es una villa muy linda, dewa es una buena persona y puedes pasar un rato muy muy agradable allí. gracias por todo Dewa
Huge luxurious villa! We didn't end up using any of the amenities like the pool or the steam room, but we did a Balinese cooking class for lunch one day and it was lovely. Dewa was super friendly and responsive. AC was strong, barely saw bugs around though the mosquitoes were strong in the outdoors bathroom area, and the beds are big though the mosquito nets had some holes in it. Only major complaint is the location of the Airbnb is falsified on the listing--it is actually 20 min away outside Ubud nestled in a small back alley.

Sehr stylische und großzügige Villa mit einem wirklich schön angelegtem Grundstück! An manchen Stellen etwas in die Jahre gekommen! Am besten haben uns aber alle Mitarbeiter gefallen: Dewa, der Manager hat alles sehr schnell und super zuverlässig erledigt. Das Beste war, dass Dewa all unsere Touren organisiert hat, so dass wir keinen öffentlichen Veranstalter benötigt haben. Agung, unser toller Fahrer hat uns sicher, immer pünktlich, sehr flexibel und super freundlich überall hingebracht. Für den Aufstieg auf den Vulkan Batur habe ich sogar seine eigene warme Jacke bekommen! Boni und ihr Team haben uns ein superleckeres Diner zubereitet. Durch ihre ehrliche Herzlichkeit haben wir alle in unser Herz eingeschlossen ! Der Standort der Villa war für unsere Touren ideal gelegen ! Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!
We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Akasa. For 2 couples the value is great. While the villa is located in a quiet street it was easy to walk to the centre of Ubud (about 20 minutes walk). Dewa the host was great - extremely helpful at organising activities in Ubud and the pick up and drop off from the villa. The villa staff were lovely and we appreciated breakfast being included daily. The villa bedrooms were comfortable with good a/c and hot showers, the experience felt like luxury glamping as you are right in the heart of the jungle. The pool was well maintained and clean.
Spectacular and well designed house in a safe side road with great views over the rain forest and within 15 min walk (5 min by Grab or car) to Ubud, its restaurants, shops and attractions. Dewa was an absolute highlight of the trip and Bonny was a great host. With a bit more love and maintenance the house would be absolutely perfect!
The villa is fantastic, the perfect spot for a relaxing stay in Ubud. There's also a very well cultivated record collection there for anyone who's into classic rock. A little bonus that we weren't expecting. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was tasty. Dewa was a great host, full of helpful information and tips. He was also a great to have as a driver, ready to accommodate us at almost any time. The only negative during our stay was that the bins were not taken out over the course of the ten days. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone heading to Ubud.
Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans la villa, le design est sympa, l’architecture et les équipements de qualité. Le personnel est présent toute la matinée pour préparer les petits déjeuners et le ménage ainsi que l’entretien du jardin, qui n’avait pas été fait depuis longtemps (herbes hautes, mousse et vase donc sols glissants je suis d’ailleurs tombé dans les escaliers, salle de bain remplie de feuilles mortes). Les petits déjeuner inclus pour m’a part était bon mais n’était pas assez copieux (pancake ou omelette, une coupelle de fruit découpées (papaye et pastèque) et une boisson chaude. Nous avons demander au staff des serviette supplémentaire car une par personne n’était pas suffisante. La maison est très bien située mais l’agencement de celle ci ne nous a pas convenue avec la piscine en contre bas. Nous avons décidé de faire un déplacement avec Dewa qui demande 500000rp par personnes nous lui avons demander si tout était inclus il nous a dit oui mais visiblement nous ne nous sommes pas compris car nous avons tous régler la course plus les entrées, j’avoue avoir était pas mal déçu par cela. Dans l’ensemble nous avons quand même passé un bon séjour par contre si vous n’aimez pas les bêtes ne venez pas ici vous êtes un peu dans la jungle.
the layout of the villa is great. it is however down an alley way that makes it tougher to find. but makes for a peaceful stay. the place is in need of some maintenance work. hopefully management and the owner take steps to repair it. If it is not repairs it is definately not worth the price that is asked. it is easily $50 usd a night overpriced for the quality of the villa in comparison. However the staff is the best I have ever experienced. They make the stay amazing. they truly to make you feel welcome.
The first time we came to the villa was unforgettable. We were amazed by the atmosphere of the villa. It is in a hidden jungle and the decoration is extremely unique and fascinating. Dewa and the staff were extremely gentle and kind. However, the staff is not good at cleaning. There were stains at the bed sheets, pillows and towels. Also, they have to clean the kitchen equipment in a proper way. The pool has to be cleaned every day too. Other than that, ambiance and everything was amazing. Appreciate it!
The Villa was absolutely gorgeous and Dewa was a amazing driver who was available to fill our every need. We also had the women who care for the Villa make dinner for us which was some of the best we've had in Indonesia and an incredible price! Not to mention the care in which breakfast is prepared for you every morning. One thing that is important to note is that when I booked the listing address on Airbnb was incomplete and therefore the location of the Villa appears to be an Ubud Center however it is a 40-minute walk from Center and in an area with well priced handicraft shops but limited restaurants.
The house is super serene and very beautiful. I would only note that it’s located on the outskirts of the center of Ubud. If you plan on renting a motorbike that should not be a problem but the walk is not so simple since the sidewalks are not the best. So you have to relay on taxis or Dewa. Dewa (manager/driver) and the team are amazing. I can not thank Dewa enough for being so patient, helpful and always punctual. He really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The mosquito nets for the beds could use some cleaning other than that everything is as expected (you have to understand that you are in a humid jungle and things deteriorate easier) Thanks for a great stay!
We enjoyed staying at the ubud villa, the however we were a but disappointed with some things. The villa is very beautiful, but many things are worn out and dirty. Outdoor furniture could use a good deep cleaning of cusions and pillows. Kitchen was a bit scary to make anything as it had a lot of crawlers and ants, I hope the owner will get see through containers to store instead of just having everything loose in the bins. We paid nearly 300$/night and I just don’t see the value for Bali at this price. Also there is a bit of a walk to the center (30min)... and the side roads are pretty bad... Not a fan of criticistic reviews, but want to be honest.
Akasa is a gem hidden down a laneway amongst the rainforest offering a nice reprieve after days exploring. Breakfast is delicious as is the dinner option the ladies cooked for us - it was a great way to enjoy local authentic cuisine. Be prepared for geckos, frogs and other nature as you are amongst the forest - it was a truly unique experience. That said, the villa does need some work as some things are quite worn or not working properly, such as the day bed and netting being old and the glass to the first bedroom being cracked, however these are simple fixes for the host. Dewa the driver is absolutely incredible and made our stay in Ubud the greatest - we highly highly highly recommend using him during your stay. We can't emphasise how much your experience will be enhanced by having him as your driver/tour guide/friend. Akasa was a lovely villa with lovely staff and will be a 5 star stay with a few updates
We spent few days in this nice place, well designed and full of positive waves. The personnel were very kind and helpful. They answered to all our requests. We just regret some small points like the sound system and the swimming pool that didn't work very well. I recommend this place to all people looking for relax and serenity
This is a fully authentic and immersive Ubud experience!!! Location is a bit on the outskirt of central Ubud but it give you the feeling that you are living in a local neighborhood. The ground of the villa are beautiful (not refined or perfect) giving it a local charm. The highlight of the experience is the staff with Boni leading the charge with warmth and genuine hospitality. We took a cooking lesson with her at the villa which was one of the highlights of the trip. Toby is also a pleasure to work and communicate with. He is very knowledgeable and had good insights into the cool things to do in and around ubud. He was responsive and very accommodating. We look forward to our next stay!
My husband and I, along with his brother and wife have just returned from a glorious week in Bali. We were in for a surprise.... Hidden down an alley lies Toby's villa "Akasa". Tranquility and relaxation! The house staff was amazing! Boni, Ketut and Koma prepared meals, cleaned and gardened. Their soft laughter and chatter was refreshing and enlightening. Boni's cooking was simply out of this world! No restaurant came close! As dusk fell on the villa we were entertained by an orchestra of insects, frogs and geckos. A sound you don't hear in the city. Dewi was a treasure! He safely drove us everywhere and even arranged drivers and reservations when out with other guests. He took very good care of us! Toby was an excellent communicator. He was just an email away! We had a few issues arise and Toby handled them in a timely and efficient manner. Thank you Toby!! Our stay at Akasa in Ubud will always be special in our hearts. We stayed in this villa my wife, my 7 months and my mother. It was a great villa with amazing pool and wild forest surrounding. The local team with Dewa and Boni & Ketut really took care of us like if we were home and would go the extra mile for you. They are fully available, Dewa can take you out for yours and the girls will cook breakfast every morning and Balinese dinner if you ask for it. The villa is in a industrial area and you cant really walk to the center of Ubud so you rely on scooter or taxi. Highly recommended for anyone wanting great service and a private place.
Our family really enjoyed our stay at Akasa. The setting is beautiful, often with a bit of magic such as watching the bats fly at sunset or enjoying an early breakfast as the jungle surroundings wake up. The open layout of the villa seems perfect with everything in place. We slept 5 there with Toby's kind efforts to move the bed from the bale up to one of the bedrooms. The staff are incredibly sweet and helpful, quick to solve problems, and Toby is kind and quick to communicate and answer questions. The main consideration in choosing Akasa is its location on the east side of Ubud. There wasn't anything of much interest to us within walking distance, and the sidewalks are terrible. This is not an issue at all if you are willing and able to ride rented scooters around town. But otherwise you will be reliant upon drivers and taxis which adds a lot of friction to getting around.
Boendet var större än vad vi trodde. Lyxigt med personal som gjorde frukost åt oss varje dag och lagade middag åt oss en dag. Massörerna var duktiga och proffsiga. Ljud från djungeln naturligtvis annars ett av de lugnaste ställen vi besökt på Bali.Entrén till vår villa var inte så upplyst som foto visat men det kapar från deras andra boende. Rekommenderas varmt.

The villa was beautiful and clean and had the amenities as listed. The only downside was that the Main Street it was off of was very busy but I think this is fairly common in Ubud. Dewa was very helpful and even stayed up late to greet us when we arrived and make sure we found the villa. The staff were lovely and accommodating.
This place is heaven on earth. Amazing nature setting, pool, hot tub, and SAUNA, plus, great breakfast prepared by the most lovely staff. Staying here was certainly the highlight of the whole Bali trip. We felt like super stars, living the high life in such a beautiful villa. The photos really don’t do this place justice.
Beautiful house. Feels like a private resort that you would pay thousands for in the US. I would recommend getting picked up through Dewa as it can be a little difficult to find if you don’t know where you’re going. Great place overall though and worth it!
The staff were so kind and communicative. I really appreciate Dewa's kindness and accomodations. This was a perfect stay to end a long trip in Bali. It was my favorite out of all the other places I was housed. The staff cleaned everyday, I wasnt expecting that but Im beyond grateful for their attentiveness. The breakfast was great! What a fabulous, beautiful retreat hidden just off the bustling streets of Ubud. The home is a truly spectacular sanctuary that is even better than the photographs. The staff were warm and friendly and we experienced delicious home cooked meals and great spa treatments. Dewa is a responsive, friendly and efficient host who is always available to assist. The alleyway entrance off the busy street made us quite anxious on arrival - but once we entered the villa all fears faded. I highly recommend the villa!

Merci encore à toi, Dewa pour ta disponibilité, ta sympathie, ta bonne humeur, tes bons conseils, ton partage 🙌… Le logement est juste somptueux, on pouvait pas espérer mieux. L’environnement était particulièrement agréable et verdoyant sans compter la piscine et le jacuzzi qui donne sur la jungle, c’est absolument superbe. Tout était parfait, sans compter les charmantes cuisinières, ainsi que les masseuses qui font parfaitement leur travail et que je vous recommande.
Traumhafter Aufenthalt in der Villa Akasa! Unsere Zeit in der Villa Akasa war einfach fantastisch. Die Villa liegt angenehm ruhig am Ende eines kleinen Gangs in Ubud und ist wunderschön angelegt. Die Zimmer und Badezimmer sind absolut top. Der Pool ist wunderbar groß, und abends nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag in den heißen Jacuzzi zu hüpfen, war pure Entspannung. Ein echtes Highlight ist auch das Dampfbad – so etwas findet man auf Bali wirklich selten! Das Frühstück wurde jeden Morgen frisch zubereitet und war einfach klasse (einen guten Überblick über die Auswahl findet man direkt auf der Website der Villa). Ein absoluter Tipp ist auch das altbalinesische Dinner, bei dem wir gemeinsam mit dem Team kochen konnten – eine tolle Erfahrung! Außerdem empfehlen wir wärmstens, Ausflüge mit Dewa zu planen: Seine Ratschläge, die Auswahl der Stopps und der gesamte Transport waren extrem entspannt und perfekt organisiert. This villa was amazing and the team were fantastic! Entering in from the local laneway, you reach a modern door and enter into paradise. The gardens were so green and lush, the rooms and facilities were clean and modern. It felt like a secret garden villa, very private and a fantastic layout. The pool was sparkling, the hot tub spotless and the ice bath was clean and very cold (according to our kids). The team at the villa cooked a great Breakfast every morning and the in house local dinner was a stand out experience. Dewa organised transfers and a full day tour showcasing Ubud's attractions with a little adventure thrown in for the kids, as well as an afternoon of massages for the girls. Great communicator and extremely friendly. Wayon, our driver and tour guide for the day went over and above to make sure we had the best day when touring the local attractions. His local knowledge of the area and stories made the day very special.
Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der Villa Akasa und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Die Villa ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und das täglich frisch zubereitete Frühstück war hervorragend. Dewa ist ein außergewöhnlich herzlicher Gastgeber, der sich um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert hat. Die beiden Sightseeing-Touren mit ihm waren ein echtes Highlight. Er hat uns nicht nur sicher zu den schönsten Orten rund um Ubud gebracht, sondern uns auch viele interessante Informationen über Bali, seine Kultur und das tägliche Leben vermittelt. Auch die Massagen in der Villa und das frisch zubereitete balinesische Dinner können wir nur empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die großartige Gastfreundschaft! Would definitely return. The villa, Dewa, staff and professional app was seamless. Not to mention the amazing food. It felt like paradise. Thank you so much for making our stay amazing.
We had perfect stay at the villa. Our host Dewa was very helpful with everything we needed and even more. The villa is beautiful you can really relax and even though it is in the city only 100m from road, it is very peaceful and quiet. I wish we could stay for longer time. We also had a driver Ngurah for 3 days, wich was great and helped us to see all the places that we wanted to see. For us it was also very important that we could discuss with Dewa and Ngurah regarding local culture and know more about Bali.
Highly recommend this villa. Dewa was amazing . He was responsive , ready to help. If possible hire him to drive you around . We really left everything to him and he did all our bookings and drove us around .
Staying with Dewa at the villa was a fantastic experience. The grounds are stunning and perfect to escape from the city and relaxing. Dewa and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
We only had 2 nights and I wish we had more! The villa was a little haven and very private. Beautiful layout and a large space. We were introduced to the villa features and key points, all well communicated. We arranged a day trip easily to see the sights of Ubud on our list. Also I do recommend to arrange a driver from the villa for first arrival as it is down a pathway off the main road. The villa is well appointed, full kitchen. Lovely and friendly staff.
Villa Akasa is truly an Oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud city centre, but only a 10 min scooter ride or a 20 min walk to the Ubud Palace. The villa is stunning and private. The villa premises were very clean, and the cleaning ladies come sharp around 9 am everyday. The villa has a spot for everyone - whether the gazebo by the pool, or the hammock or the living space sofas. The Bedrooms and bathrooms are basic and adequate. The road outside has plenty of restaurants, bakery and convenience stores in case one wants to cook their own meals. We used the sauna, the hot pool and also the in-house spa area - and it was a delight to be able to do all of this inside. If you are an outdoor person, you will love the place and look forward to be woken up by birdsong. Dewa made us feel welcome right from the date of booking, and was helpful in suggesting places of interest, helping to hire scooters and travel. Tip : pls be open to seeing geckos and frogs in the evenings.
Hidden gem down a private street. Very quiet and calm. Just like the pics. Dewa is super responsive and friendly. Staff is very friendly to cook breakfast every morning. Place is cleaned everyday, nice hottub and pool. Steam room was great. Outdoor showers add a Balinese flare. Everything was great. Kitchen is fully stocked. Everything you need is there. Will stay here again when visiting.

It was such a treat having a full-service team, and all of the meals were delicious. The dinner was one of the best meals we had in Bali. La villa est magnifique. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Les photos sont conformes à la description. La ruelle pour accéder à pied n'est pas éclairée et pas très bien entretenue, prévoir une lumière. Le change devant l'alfamart nous a escroqué de 2 millions de roupias mais Dewa nous a aidé à les récupérer, faites donc attention. Dewa commande un véhicule lorsque vous avez besoin d'aller dans le centre ville d'Ubud sinon 30 minutes à pied. Dewa est très réactif. Petit bémol pour nous, les petits déjeuners qui n'étaient pas assez garnis au vue du prix de la villa. Des petits entretiens sont nécessaires dès maintenant afin que la villa ne perde pas son charme. Merci pour ce séjour.
This place is even better than the photos! What an incredible villa! The hot tub almost the jungle is incredible for early mornings and late nights. The private massage room is exquisite and the staff of the villa are so kind. We had breakfast and dinner prepared for us. I will absolutely be staying here again!
The staff was amazing! Everyone was so helpful, especially Dewa who helped with everything at the house and his brother who drove us around to see things around Ubud! Everything at the house worked perfectly, the view was great from the backyard and it’s close enough to central Ubud that you can easily get there with a grab or motorbike. Also love the fact that it’s on the road to the rice fields, just a quick trip from the villa.

Dewa and his team were absolutely exceptional. The house was even more stunning than the photos. Very private and serene. We booked several tours with them and our driver, Wayan, was the best. We spent long days with him and he taught us so much about the culture and history. Everything was so easy with our boys (7&11). They came to make us breakfast every morning, picked up our laundry and had it done same day, and the kids loved the cooking class! We also booked massages and it was so nice to do them right at the house - the kids loved the bubble bliss! Several restaurants within walking distance and we even walked to Ubud market one day to explore. This was our best family trip we’ve taken. Highly recommend!
What can I possibly say about this gem of a place. This is my second time in Bali and before I am hosting a retreat, I knew I needed some R+R. The villa is spotless. It’s insanely beautiful. The meals they cooked for me were 5 star. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had (and I get a lot) and Dewa is the most responsive, accommodating host I’ve ever met. An atm machine ate my only ATM card and Dewa went above and beyond any reason as expectation to help me get it sorted. Stop everything you’re doing and book.

Our stay in Ubud was exceptional. Dewa was proactive and incredibly supportive, organising a seamless late-night airport pickup and check-in, and remaining responsive to every request throughout. The villa staff prepared outstanding breakfasts and dinners, all thoughtfully adapted to be vegan, the dinner was genuinely the best meal we had in Bali. Daily cleaning was thorough and efficient, and laundry was arranged with a fast 24-hour turnaround at very low cost. The property itself is stunning: manicured gardens with a rich variety of plants, overlooking an epic jungle valley. Spa facilities were excellent, including a non-chlorinated pool, hot tub, cold plunge, and steam room. The villa is beautifully designed with artisan furnishings, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, strong AC, secure locks, and well-maintained mosquito nets. Bathrooms were fully stocked with great rainfall showers. Overall, outstanding value, luxury hotel-level service with privacy and seclusion.

The villla is beautiful, clean, conveniently located and has great amenities as described. The staff (Bonni, Aryu and Jero) were welcoming and accommodating, and it was easy to arrange quality dinners prepared and served at the villa, childcare and day trips for very reasonable prices. We travelled with our 3 and 5 year old girls who had a wonderful time with the lovely ladies caring for them a few hours per day. The villa is situated on the edge of a river valley providing beautiful jungle views and sounds of nature, with unprotected edges potentially unsuitable for young children (though ours were fine). Our driver Ngurah shared great local cultural knowledge on our drives and provided wonderful insight into Balinese and broader Indonesian history, local architecture and everyday life for Balinese people. The villa had a great online guide to assist in planning your holiday/ extra services before arrival. Communication was excellent with Dewa and all staff members. A great holiday!

I don't think I've stayed at more incredible Airbnb. This house made our vacation! A pool, steam roo., hot tub and cold plunge, in addition to a house keeping team that were professional, kind and not intrusive. The bungalow itself was stunning. Decorated well without going overboard. I'd go out of my way to recommend this place to family and friends. It's worth it! A tip, it you stay here make sure you do one meal with the accomodation. I think my friends and I had our best Balinese meal at the house. The cooks, are top notch, with all the food prepared fresh and packed full of flavor! Would love to return!

We came to stay here for a relaxing getaway and this was exactly that! We loved the breakfast each morning and the ladies were so lovely. Steam room was perfect on waking and the pool and hot tub at night were perfect. Great Korean and Japanese restaurant nearby and friendly neighbourhood. Highly recommend

Dewa’s place was a great stay. My parents loved the hot tub and sauna, and I especially enjoyed the cold plunge. The location was very convenient—close to a supermarket and situated on the main road leading to the rice terraces, with minimal traffic. Reaching central Ubud took approximately 10–25 minutes, depending on the traffic. The house was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the daily cooked breakfast was consistently good. Finding the house was a bit tricky at first, but Dewa’s brother Ngurah kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, which helped a lot. One note: mosquitoes were common, so bring repellent, and after heavy rain, the frogs/toads can be loud at night—earplugs are a good idea if you’re sensitive to noise.

The place was really amazing and we would definitely stay in it if we visit Bali again. Everything was perfect, the privacy of the place and the swimming pool. The hygiene was amazing, the whole place was clean the whole time and they did daily cleaning in the morning. The food was just wow 😋. Really one of the best food I ever ate. I regretted having the dinner only for one time. The breakfast was also amazing but the dinner had way too many options and all of our choices were so delicious. Dewa and the staff were very very kind and made every thing we asked for possible. The house included every we needed & more. We enjoyed the hot & the cold Jacuzzi. As well as the Sauna Would definitely recommend the place for anyone visiting Ubud.
Great host & staff. Dewa is an incredible host who was very responsive & arranged our itinerary as we told him the things we wanted to do & he made it all happen. The cooking & cleaning team were extremely accommodating, hospitable & everyone went above & beyond to make our stay as hassle-free as possible, while preparing delicious meals for us. Ngurah was an amazing driver who literally took care of us on our adventures outside of the villa & handled everything with ease. No complaints about our stay other than wishing we stayed longer. We’d definitely stay here again if we were to come back & have already recommended the villa to some friends.

Prenez le temps de vous promener dans la grande rue vous trouverez plein d'artisanat beaucoup moins cher que dans le centre d'Ubud. Nous recommendons chalereusement cet hébergement qui a dépassé nos attentes.
Well… When I came thru the front door, I felt an immediate sense of peace. As I walked thru the front trees to see the actual villa… I cried. WHAT A MAGICAL PLACE!!! Wow… Walking around with Dewa (who makes you feel right at home) I just couldn’t believe my eyes. The villa is everything I imagined and more. The bedrooms and outdoor bathrooms were just as pictured and so amazing! Dewa’s brother (Ngurah) picked us up in Sanur and took us to Batuan Temple and Tegenungan Waterfall/Omma Club, on the way to Ubud. He was great! He also brought us a few other places during our time there. The villa staff (Boni & Jero) were absolute sweethearts. The breakfasts were so very good and the Balinese dinner was superb!!! Servings were huge. The spa services were devine. I did the 2.5 hour Balinese bliss package… Pure heaven. We also did a flower pool/floating breakfast and hired an outside photographer to come in to do pictures and drone video. Would TOTALLY stay here again!!

We stayed at the magical villa our last 2 nights of a 2 week stay in Bali. This place is beyond incredible, we felt like royalty the second we stepped inside the doors! It was a bit of a splurge for us, but absolutely worth every penny! We had breakfast prepared for us every morning and treated ourselves to massages and facials. The entire villa feels like a dream, like you’re staying at a spa retreat! We were so well taken care of by the staff and would 100% stay here again!! Don’t hesitate to book it!
This is our second time staying at this Airbnb. It really is an amazing place. It’s close enough to walk to the downtown area if you want to. Perfect ubud location. It is I. The jungle, just like all of ubud, so there were animals and bugs around, but they cleaned everything every day. The steam room is awesome, the spa treatments are amazing. Whenever we come back to Bali, we will be staying here again. Pictures are as described.
Everything about our time at Villa Akasa was magical! It was even better than the pictures! Plus Dewa could NOT have been nicer to deal with. We were hesitant to plan too much before we arrived bc the forecast was all rain but within 20 minutes Dewa had our whole trip sorted from ATVing, to white water rafting, to our home cooked dinner, to ziplining, to massages at the Villa the last night! Our 10 & 12 year olds never wanted to leave and I didn’t either! Highly recommend!!!
The villa is spacious, beautiful, clean and true to the photos. All the staff were friendly, responsive, discreet and made our stay very comfortable. The amenities were all in excellent working condition. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning effective. The property is completely private and tucked away at the end of a lane - you don't hear the road traffic and if you're an early riser, the sounds of the jungle and quiet of the morning are lovely. It was a real luxury having delicious, authentic Balinese meals cooked freshly for us! We really loved the meals we ordered. I requested extra fruit, coconut water and juices which were provided with no fuss. A driver was organised for a day trip and airport transfers very easily. We tried the in-house spa treatment and had an amazing experience with that. Such a treat to be able to have onsite treatments. Thank you to Dewa, Boni and Jero for taking care of us so well and making our stay so comfortable and nice.
We stayed as a family of four for 4 nights in this beautiful villa. Everything worked out perfectly from start to finish. We were picked up from the airport and received very friendly even though it was already late. The accommodation is just outside of ubud. On foot you are in about a 1/4 hour in the centre. But it is very quiet and you get almost nothing of the hustle and bustle. All the excursions we did, dewa had perfectly organised. The staff took great care of us in all needs. In summary, our experience in the villa was even better than the ad promised. Thank you for everything - we really enjoyed the time!

Dewa was extremely helpful and responsive from the moment we made our reservation. Everything in the villa was perfect. Big comfortable beds, beautiful space to unwind after a day out in ubud. The steamroom worked perfectly and the ice bath was with fresh water so no chlorine. Fantastic. The two ladies who cleaned the villa and made our breakfast were so lovely and kind. Cannot fault this place and would 100% stay again.
had such a wonderful time at this villa. Location : about 10 mins drive from the center Ubud, costs less than 3 USD to call grab so no prob. It is near a somewhat busy street but you go into the alley and walk about 200m so you don’t hear the noise from the street(not car accessible so you have to walk but easy) the villa is gigantic with an open living space and a kitchen. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna and the cold bath all worked fine and I enjoyed all of them. Note that it’s in the jungle so insects and geckos appear and one morning I saw a monkey came into the kitchen but to me it was fun. Breakfast was prepared by the ladies in the kitchen every morning and it was delicious! Plus one night I ordered some dinner dishes and it was better than any restaurants (I just had to pay for the ingredients) The only issue was the construction? noise coming from somewhere (high-pitch machinery sound) but maybe temporary. Overall, fantastic villa, looks better in person, you should stay!

Beautiful setting for a truly private spa, which is both in the jungle and surprisingly close to a craft street north of central Ubud. Bonny & Ayu are wonderful, welcoming and cooked the best food we’ve eaten in Indonesia- twice! Ngurah was fantastic- very accommodating for our tour, great with our 2 children. Dewa, you are ace too! Like a private spa with excellent service! (Perfect place to start after a long flight) Have them cook you a great meal at home or walk to Nagi. Massages are some of the best in the world because of the villa accommodation and private massage area. Pool area is top notch. All the best to Dewa and the staff, very deserving of tips!

First, Dewa is an amazing host! As he put it you are a guest, a friend, and family while you are there. He went above and beyond to help us with bookings and provide pick up service. He communicated very well. The Villa is beautiful. You could spend days just enjoying taking care of yourself at the Villa. The sauna, pool, hot tub, and cold plunge were wonderful rejuvenating amenities that truly helped a busy schedule of sight seeing and experiences of a lifetime! The complimentary breakfast cooked on site was delightful every morning. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the AC was cold. The bathrooms were gorgeous and open. The living room has 3 fans a mind a nice natural breeze so it is very comfortable. It is Indonesia so the homes blend with the natural world, some bugs are to be expected but Dewa and his team prepare for that. The geckos were a surprisingly simple highlight of my trip. We enjoyed seeing them at night (they leave you alone). Overall marvelous experience!

The place is fantastic! Gorgeous villa with jungle scenes and sounds all around you. The bedrooms are comfortable and nicely air conditioned for when it gets too hot. The pool and hot tub and cold plunge and steam room were awesome after a day out exploring. The grounds are beautifully looked after. Breakfast everyday was wonderful and in villa massages were a real treat. The staff are very friendly and Dewa goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need for a wonderful trip. He is a great driver and guide and helped us arrange for activities like ATV and rafting as well as rice terraces, temples and waterfalls. Thank you for an amazing time in Ubud!

We had the best time at this villa. Our goal was to relax for a few days and we did just that. The pool, cold plunge, hot tub, and steam room were all amazing. Massages and home cooked meals were easy to set up. The staff made delicious daily breakfasts and kept the villa clean. But most of all, Dewa made the stay excellent. Between the airport pickup, prompt communication, and Ubud day tour he took us on, he truly went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Thank you!
This place was gorgeous, so green and tropical. Very clean spaces, bedrooms and pool area. The ladies that service each day are gorgeous. Boni & Jero, Always smiling. Initially finding it was difficult, which Dewa had mentioned, but it had the wrong address listed. Our driver called and spoke to Dewa in Balinese and then we found it easily. But the instructions could have been much easier. Put a sign up at the top of the laneway with the Villa name and tell everyone it’s directly opposite the Puri Padma reception area. That is my only complaint if you can call it that x

My fiancé and I enjoyed our 6 night stay here. The villa has beautiful scenery, and amenities. Including the steam sauna, hot tub, cold plunge and pool. The pool is very spacious and surrounded by greenery which we enjoyed. With this villa you are paying for the setting and amenities which are great. There are some small discrepancies in the villa, like the bed being stiff, some of the faucets jiggly, but nothing major. The staff was very friendly and they made us breakfast 3 mornings, which was great! There's also an amazing resturant a short walk away called "Nagi". We ended up eating there multiple times throughout our stay. We received a couples aromatherapy massage at the villa which was incredible and they added flower petals to the hot tub for us as requested. Villa Acasa is truly a unique experience and we are glad to be able to stay there. 🖤🌴🪴🦎

He really went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had a great time - nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you Dewa!!! One important note for families with small children: while we had an amazing time, the villa's design includes some unfenced areas and sharp drops that make it unsuitable for very young children.

Such a great find. Dewa and the team were really great. He is extremely friendly and helpful and always easy to reach when we had a question. He organized drivers for us. laundry, in house cooking and so much more. The villa was beautiful and I would definitely stay here again.
The home is beautiful. It is tucked away at the end of an alley. When you enter the gates you are transported to your own private jungle sanctuary. We enjoyed the daily spa treatments in the massage room that overlooks a river and bamboo forest. The service by Dewa and the staff was top notch. You receive daily cleaning, breakfast and optional additional meals. A couple grocery stores are a short walk away. Same for restaurants.

Amazing Stay at Ubud Jungle Oasis This villa in Ubud, aptly named Ubud Jungle Oasis, was hands down our favorite out of the four villas we stayed at in Bali. The place is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. While all the hosts we encountered were incredibly friendly, the host here, Dewa, was truly exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—helpful, kind-hearted, and incredibly responsible. If anything needed attention, Dewa had it resolved within 1-2 hours, which is impressive! The massage ladies were also phenomenal—don’t miss out on that experience. A couple of tips for future guests: The local road leading to the villa is uneven and dark, so bring a flashlight. Be prepared for some mosquitos—it’s all part of the jungle charm! I would absolutely come back here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family. Honestly, all you need in Bali is a Dewa! 😊
The villa is stunning, peaceful and private! It is even more beautiful in-person than it is in the pictures. Everything is well maintained and we instantly felt right at home. We especially loved the pool and living space. But what really made our trip special was our host Dewa - who was super responsive, friendly and helpful to us for whatever we needed during our trip - and his amazing staff team who prepared delicious meals and kept the villa tidy. We couldn’t imagine a better way to visit Ubud than to have stayed at our villa with Dewa as our host. Thank you so much for making our incredible trip to Bali so special!

Villa Akasa and Dewa are simply unforgettable!!! Would you like to stay in your own private spa? This place has its own steam room, cold plunge pool, hot tub, massive pool and…its own two table massage room!!!! Are you kidding me? And that’s not even the highlight- which is Dewa himself, who picked us up, looked after us throughout and even took us on a one day custom Bali tour. Back at the villa, we organized multiple massages and spa services through him (I had the best massage of my life - 90 minutes of pure bliss) for 25% of European prices. Also: floating breakfast is included EVERY DAY and so is one dinner expertly cooked by the villa staff. All of this a 10 minute drive from Ubud. Notes of caution: it’s on 2 levels with a steep staircase so wouldn’t be good for little kids and it’s beginning to show its age, but the value , the service and the overall vibe are simply unbeatable. We will be back FOR SURE. Thanks Dewa and team! We’ll never forget this place.

This place is a beautiful vila in the middle of the forest. Loved the look, cold plunge, sauna and absolutely beautiful place. The host Dewa and house keepers were very kind and helpful. We had a lovely time in this villa

We had the most amazing time at Villa Akasa. Dewa and the whole team truly make this experience special from beginning to end. As others have said, Dewa helps arrange everything and is extremely easy to communicate with. He was also a great guide on our day to the temples! Boni and team also cooked us a delicious and healthy dinner. They also accommodated our early morning breakfast requests! The villa itself is amazing, outfitted with a steam room and cold plunge in addition to the pool. We got massages at the villa and it was so peaceful listening to the rainforest sounds in a state of meditation. Bugs, geckos and frogs are kind of everywhere, but very tolerable even for us city slickers. It was always entertaining trying to figure out what crazy sounds they made! All in all can’t recommend this villa enough as an alternative to the ultra luxury resorts. This had all the comforts of that due to the excellent staff in an intimate and boutique setting.
Very central location, just far enough to be a little out-of-the-way, but close enough for convenience car rides into the town. Dewa was very professional, friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast were also tasty and enjoyable. The staff were very accommodating.
The villa was an amazing, peaceful place to stay. Everything was beautifully decorated, lots of extra amenities like deodorant, female products, yoga supplies and great attention to detail. Facilities are outstanding, pool, spa, steam room, massage room - all were terrific. We both got the Balinese Bliss spa package and it was the best spa treatment we’ve both ever had. Great value and highly recommend the bubble massage! Dewa was very responsive and helpful, the staff were wonderful with breakfast provided each day, couldn’t really ask for anything more. It was just the two of us but you could easily have 4 people stay with the 2 bedrooms. Plenty of space to spread out and relax!! Highly recommended. We’d love to come back sometime.
We had an amazing vacation at Akasa villa. It was more than we have dreamed of. Dewa was exceptional. He picked us up at the airport and was our tour guide and driver. He was supper friendly, gave us tips and suggestions of where to go, and great with the kids. The staff were amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the Balinese dinner was the best dinner we had in Bali. I highly recommend this villa and we hope to be back again :)
This was without doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed. It was completely private when the door was closed from the alleyway. The location was awesome. The pool, sauna and hot tub combination was outstanding. Overlooking the forest and the associated sounds made this holiday. Dewa could not have been more helpful. Een geweldig huis waar je helemaal tot rust kunt komen. Het had alles wat we zochten. In het huis ervaarde je rust, terwijl je midden in Ubud zat. De kookcursus was een groot succes. Het eten was overigens iedere avond heerlijk. Wij hebben enorm genoten.

We spent 4 delightful nights at Villa Akasa in Ubud and couldn’t fault the service provided by Dewa, Boni, Ayu and Jero. Dewa happily drove us around Ubud and surrounds and made everything easy. He answered all of my inquisitive son’s endless questions with a smile and made our travelling time in the car pleasant and fun. Boni and Ayu provided the most delicious food and kept the facilities and room spotless. We were also very lucky to receive a wonderful cooking lesson from Boni and Ayu. Jero quietly worked away in the lush garden and kept it all looking absolutely stunning. Villa Akasa was a stunning tranquil ‘home away from home’. It was the perfect place to base ourselves for exploring Ubud and exceeded my expectations.
The Villa was just like the photos but even better. Despite the alley way when you walked through the doors you are transported to a different world. Private and peaceful perfect for a few chill days to relax after days of activities. We loved the option of getting massages in Villa (we had massages 2 days in a row and even our kids got one each). The beautiful ladies making our breakfast and a beautiful dinner one night was also a highlight. Also if wanting to buy home decor etc the Villa is right in amongst the wholesalers, where the prices were better than the markets, so hold off buying things until you have a look there! Lastly Dewa was an amazing host, super easy to deal with, always responsive, helpful and great for a chat. Thanks for making your Villa feel like home Dewa 🩵

Welcome to Villa Akasa- I dare you to find a place like this, and I’m confident you just can’t. Yes, even in beautiful Bali! The place was impeccably maintained by Boni and her team. They also make delicious breakfast everyday and I’m sure would be happy to have you participate in making Nasi Goreng or any meal in the feast. Go have your breakfast floating in the pool! It’s such a unique experience. Dewa the Villa manager and driver was our go-to person. He is so kind, knowledgeable and down to earth- he contacted me as soon as my reservation was booked. I came with my mom and sister for an Ubud relaxation stay and Villa Akasa did not disappoint. The steam sauna, pool and hot tub were all well-maintained. The whole place was just beautiful. Definitely not a place for kids because of the canals and unfenced areas near a jungle ravine, but for adults who are looking for a jungle oasis; this is it. Just book it!
Our group of 4 would have gladly canceled our next Bali stop and stayed longer if there weren’t bookings behind us. The villa is exactly as decided in words and pictures, in a relaxing jungle ravine setting. Dewa is a gem of a human. He is very responsive, attentive to desires and details, and is very enjoyable company for commonly long tours due to unavoidable vehicle traffic. Our personal chef Bonni was equally enjoyable. We would strongly recommend having her cook all meals for you at the villa. Everything we tried on the menu far exceeded restaurant quality and taste, at very reasonable costs. Excellent place for a holiday. With private pool that feels quite clean. Breakfast that prepare on demand. The place is close enough to town centre that a Gojek can arrive in 2,3mins, while keeping high privacy without disturbance.

Absolutely loved our stay at Villa Akasa. Dewa and the staff went above and beyond to keep us comfortable and were always there to help with anything(my daughter had the Bali belly and they got us foods to help her even though it wasn’t part of the breakfast) The villa itself is gorgeous. We used all the amenities- pool, hot tub, cold plunge and the steam bath. Me and mom also booked a 90 minute massage in the massage room. The room is at the edge of a jungle and it was such a unique experience. The therapists gave us a wonderful massage. We also had the cooking class with Boni and cooked a delicious crispy, sweet tempeh dish with her. What a treat! Dewa drove us around ubud and it made visiting the sites very easy. Overall, we were blown away by the level of service the team put together and were blessed to know such wonderful people!

We had a magical stay at Villa Akasa, our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We will definitely be back and stay for at least 5 days next time. The photos don’t do this place justice, it is far more beautiful in person. It’s like stepping into you own private jungle oasis. The pool is huge and just the right temperature. Rooms were spacious, comfortable beds and had everything you needed. The steam room and cold plunge were a wonderful treat and the daily cleaning meant we could really relax and out our feet up. A huge thank you to the incredible ladies that cooked us the best Indonesian food we had on our entire holiday. If you stay here you must try the dinners, AMAZING! Dewa, thank you for making us feel so welcome and for all of your advice and knowledge of the area. You made our time there so effortless. The property is just WOW ! It’s exactly as the pictures show and all services and amenities are exactly as described. Dewa was very helpful with local recommendations and arranging transport and booking etc ..very very responsive..thank you so much Dewa for all your help during our stay ! Also, the villa’s location is perfect with Ubud centre being very closeby and cabs being easily available all the time ..all in all it was a great experience ..highly recommend it !

I was looking forward to our booked trip in Ubud and Dewa’s place did not disappoint! Amazing villa, friendly staff and fantastic options such as having your own private and authentic dinner cooked in the house. Dewa met us personally at the airport and we booked all the Ubud trips for the next 3 days with him. He drove us to the places, explained very well the sights and waited patiently for us to explore. He was also flexible to change some of the trip visits around so that we also enjoy the beautiful house for ourselves. I cannot recommend this place more. This place was exactly like the photos it was beautiful. Having a baby walking though had to be careful of the drop off behind the pool as it drops off to quite steep forest and lots of ponds but it was ok for us as we have ponds at home and always have an eye on him. The staff that came every morning to cook were the highlight , they were lovely great with the kids. Green pancakes delicious! We also opted to have them cook dinner one night and only cost for ingredients which was only about 20 dollars for our family of 5 and was the best meal I had in Bali ! Absolutely Devine wish they could cook for me back in Australia. The Japanese restaurant down the road is also amazing Dewa recommended us to try. Walking down the alley to and from however their was a dog who was not happy with us walking past but on our last day was right at the top and seemed fine so may have been protecting its home or just hungry but that was the only let down. I would definitely come back here
Our stay here was unique, as we were here over Nyepi, a day in which the entire island shuts down & silence/no going out is mandated (to heavily simplify it haha) — so while we didn't get to fully experience most of the service based amenities (cooking class, massages, etc) we did LOVE our stay & it was so quiet, secluded, and safe, perfect for the day of silence. Dewa picked us up from our prior location & took us to the villa, and then we walked into town to experience the Ogoh Ogoh parade (cars/roads were blocked) and it was only about a 25 min, easeful walk. We stopped at the Pepitas, only 7 min walk, to get some staples for the kitchen afterwards, so great to have that close by! We loved the cold plunge, hot tub & sauna, and used daily. Our last morning, we got to enjoy breakfast from the lovely staff with fresh Pandan leaves right from the property - wow! It definitely feels less private once the staff arrives, but you CAN request a private day without their presence (if wanted!)

My friends and I stayed in Akasa for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay very much! The villa was beyond our expectations and it was more stunning in person! Villa is very clean and facilities are very well maintained and up-kept! On our last day, a guy came to trim the greens and clean the pools. 👍🏻 Bed and pillows were very soft! Hotel quality indeed! Even the bathrooms are fully stocked! There's sanitary pads, tampons, makeup remover, cotton pads and buds for us ladies! Very thoughtful and i love that! do note that the hairdryer is not very strong! The food cooked by the staff is DELICIOUS! Wish they can cook for me everyday :( Massage package was relaxing too. Too good I fell asleep !! Dewa on the other hand, is a very patient host. My friends and I loved that he is friendly and willing to entertain our non stop chatter and nonsense 😅 I will recommend anyone who is intending to visit Ubud to stay in Akasa. reminder that special guests such as frogs may pay a visit too!

Great private retreat. Dewa’s space was a fantastic place to relax and recover. The amenities were excellent including the pool, hot tub, steam room, and cold plunge. Dewa arranged massages for us which were amazing during a rainy day. House keeping was great at reducing all bugs on the property along with making breakfast for us everyday.

We LOVED our stay here! The pictures adequately described the place. We typically don’t airbnb because I find that sometimes it’s not as described…not here. Everything was as described. The space was very well maintained. Very clean. Obviously normal critters for a jungle space…ants, geckos, frogs, exactly what you would expect. The open air concept was great. The bathrooms are well maintained. The beds are comfortable…we tried out both rooms…basically the exact same set up. The cold plunge and steam room were fantastically maintained. We used every day. The pool and hot tub as well. We used the staff for morning breakfast and they were so accommodating. Boni, Jero and Ayu always were smiling and providing anything we asked. We had them cook us dinner twice as well and it was delicious! Dewa drove us around everywhere and gave us several suggestions to eat. He was extremely responsive and an excellent host! When we come back, we would definitely stay in this villa again!
Awesome Villa with all the amenities, super close to Ubud centre. We stayed with our 4 yrs old for 3 days and we loved it. Most amazing part of the villa are 3 pools and steam room. You can call in for massage and they got a massage room in the Villa. Perfect to relax and have fun time with friends or family in Ubud. Last day, we asked for dinner and they cooked delicious Balinese meals for us. Definitely going back again when we go to Ubud.

This place is exactly described. It’s super private and the space is amazing. It’s in the middle of ubud, and if you like to walk, you could walk to ubud center and the monkey forest. My wife and I walked and it took us about 45 minutes to walk to the monkey forest. However, that’s not even necessary as the host will drive you to Ubud center free of charge once a day. There are cleaners who come everyday who will also cook you breakfast, which is included in the rate. And trust me, don’t order breakfast from the menu, tell them to make breakfast that they would make for their family. It was soo good every morning. They also will make you dinner, the first time is free, you just pay for the ingredients, any time after that is like $12usd plus ingredients. However, it is the jungle and the bathrooms, while covered, are outside there will be bugs and lizards around. I don’t mean to make it sound bad, just be prepared to see that. I would definitely stay here again!!
The stay was awesome but one minus point is insects due to the forest nearby, which can be a bit of pain specially for kids. But overall the experience was great.
We (parents and 8 year old son) had the most magical time at the villa. We are already talking about a return visit in 2024! The villa itself was luxurious, with absolutely everything you could hope for. Super comfy beds, an open living area with a hammock and couches to laze on, beautiful indoor/outdoor bathrooms, and a crystal-clear pool. It even had its own spa area, where we had several massages and facials. But the best part of our stay was undoubtedly the lovely people we met. The villa manager, Dewa, said to us that he sees the people staying at the villa as ‘his clients, his friends and his family’. And that’s exactly how we felt. Dewa organised tours and spa visits, recommended restaurants (including the amazing Zest!), and was willing to drive us wherever we needed to go. Dewa and the three ladies (Boni, Jero and Ayu) who cleaned and cooked our amazing breakfasts also shared the fascinating Balinese culture and religion with us. Thank you for our amazing stay!

We had a great stay at the villa. Dewa was very helpful in organizing tours as well as pickup and drop off. Responded always immediately to our questions/concerns. The villa has a beautiful garden and very relaxing pool area as well as patio/open living room. Very comfortable beds and clean baths. Breakfast service was very much appreciated and very delicious. Kitchen well equipped. Easy ride into downtown Ubud. We took two tours which were great (Mount Batour sunrise and Bedugul). We can highly recommend service provided by Dewa. The dinner was very delicious and a real highlight, since it was homemade. A really great experience. We loved our stay very much and hope to be back someday soon.

Dewa's place is incredible. The space is so beautiful, large and well designed. The bedrooms are comfortable with very nice outdoor showers. The living space and kitchen make a great place to hang out. These are complemented superbly by the steam room, cold plunge pool, hot tub and swimming pool. The space also has a separate spa area which we used 3 separate times to get very good in-villa massages from their partner Hesa spa. The breakfasts and dinners were superb and easily the best food we had on our Indonesian trip. Boni, Ayu and Jiro are excellent cooks and housekeepers. The best part is Dewa himself - he is friendly, accommodating and always happy to talk about Bali. We went on a couple of day trips with him and we had an excellent time on the tours. We had a fabulous stay and would very highly recommend a stay at Dewa's place. The place is wonderful but it is the people that elevate Villa Akasa to something very special!
This Villa is close enough to the main part of Ubud but offers great, peaceful escape. The villa is beautiful, matches the pictures exactly. We had a great time hanging out in the pool and relaxing in the hammock after a long, hot day of exploring Ubud. The staff were amazing friendly whether it was getting laundry done for us or making our meals. Dewa was really helpful providing us rides to Ubud and the rice terraces and was amazingly responsive. The home cooked meal was one of the highlights of our vacation. Really genuine, delicious home style cooking which isn’t easy to experience when you are traveling. The location was close to all the craft stores on Andong which is much cheaper and better quality than what you get in Ubud. It’s alway between the main part of Ubud and the rice terraces which made it really convenient. Overall 5 star stay and would absolutely recommend for a family stay!

This villa absolutely exceeded our expectations. It isn't often that an AirBNB listing is actually better than the photos and description, but this is one of those times. We were travelling as a family of 4, with 2 children ages 9 and 7. Checkin was smooth as Dewa met us at the airport and drove us to the villa (recommend). The villa was an oasis. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were beautiful, common areas were large, and all the pool facilities were extremely well maintained. Breakfast every morning was a wonderful start to the day. The dinner we had prepared for us was phenomenal. We all had massages twice during our stay, and it was a great enjoyment in a room right next to the pool. Communication was easy and timely. Laundry was taken care of with a 24-hour turnaround time, and it came out great! Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. You'll see the nice little touches around the villa that you won't find in the listing!
Absolutely amazing oasis 5 min transportation from the very busy Ubud. Loved it!!!
A beautiful oasis close to downtown Ubud. We loved our stay at Villa Akasa and cannot wait to go back. The Villa is just like the photos. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the pool, hot tub, steam room and plunge are brilliant. The main living area was so relaxing to lie in with a great book (heaps in the on-site library) overlooking the forest. The staff made this place for us, they are wonderful. Boni spent time with us explaining and making the daily offering and took the time to show our often impatient 11-year-old how to fashion a bird from coconut leaf. The daily fresh cooked breakfasts and the Balinese dinner from Boni and Jero on our last night was agreed by all to be the most delicious meal of our Bali trip. It's a must do. Dewa is a star! He took us on an amazing local day trip, all on a few limited suggestions from us. His local knowledge meant we beat the rush to well-known spots, saw other we would never find and had an amazing Babi guling lunch with locals

Overall, my accommodation experience was exceptional, and I truly recommend this villa to everyone. The attentive and friendly host, unique architectural style, well-appointed kitchen, and the luxurious steam bath made it a truly memorable stay. Not sure where to start. This villa is amazing! Absolutely beautiful, clean and great location. The outdoor setting was incredible. Villa Akasa has everything you would ever need. From the amazing and attentive staff to the beautiful amenities like the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, cold plunge pool and serene spa treatment area. We have stayed at many villas over the years and this one by far has been the best and exceeded our expectations. Actually, this is the first review I have ever done for a rental. Now for the best part of Villa, the staff! Dewa, Boni and Ayu are absolutely amazing! They make this villa complete. We felt so spoiled and taken care of our entire time there. Boni and Ayu make the best meals. They even did a cooking class with my kids. My kids had a great time learning traditional Balinese dishes. Dewa was the absolute best host we have ever had. He took us on tours and was an amazing guide explaining the history and culture of Bali. Truly amazing experience!
Akasa villa is huge and well-equipped with spa facilities. We love the hot tub! Dewa is really friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the dinner made by the ladies. The daily shuttle into town is convenient and saved us some transport woes. We also had the in-house massages, which again, is very convenient and pretty good. Waking up to the beautiful jungle view was tranquil. In all, we really enjoyed our stay!
Dewa was the most incredible host, so kind and we feel as family so connected to him, the culture and the destination. He arranged everything for us and was always available yo assist. He arranged the best spa treatments we had all trip, totally eclipsed those of a 5 star resort. Dewa also recommended that we have a traditional home cooked meal at the villa. The two women that came to prepare the meal were absolutely delightful and talked with our 16 year old daughter as they prepared their traditional dishes. The meal was by far the best of our trip and their pride in sharing their culture could be tasted in each bite. They even prepared fruit plates for us to have for the following morning’s early departure. The villa is a true spa retreat, the facilities are incredible. The steam, cold plunge, jacuzzi, wet treatment room, pool, etc was just the best! We cannot wait to return.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the place was fringed by the jungle and so relaxing . It had so many facilities to use, we enjoyed the hot pool in the chill ubud nights. Do take the dinner offer as the ladies made one of the best meal we have eaten in Bali . Location was also a short drive away from ubud central. Overall- worth it. 10/10
We had an exceptional experience at Villa Akasa. It’s absolutely beautiful - even better than the photos. We felt an instant sense of tranquility as we entered - the villa is surrounded by the jungle, with a dreamy indoor/outdoor flow throughout the space. The steam sauna, cold plunge, spa and pool were very well maintained and our group loved using them throughout our stay. What really made the trip special was Dewa and the rest of his team. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The spa treatments were divine, Metty and Kadek are so talented. The breakfasts cooked by Jero and Boni were absolutely delicious! The green pancake with honey drizzled on top and the Nasi Goreng were our favorites. We also opted in for the home cooked Balinese dinner and can’t recommend it enough! It was the best meal we had in Ubud. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you Dewa and team for providing such a memorable experience! Can’t wait to come back :)
Dewas Villa was really nice for our 6 night stay in Ubud. The spa, steam room, pool etc are really good and like the gardens, they are very well maintained. The Villa is very spacious and the bedrooms are nice and roomy. The outside bathrooms are an exotic addition to a stunning private subtropical oasis. The breakfast each day was a treat and nicely served by Boni and her team. They cooked a beautiful feast for us one night and Dewa took us on a couple of great outings. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they made our stay very enjoyable. We thoroughly recommend this totally relaxing beautiful property.
Beautiful home and very friendly host. Everything was just as in the pictures and the services were just as described. We had two house keeping ladies come over to clean and cook breakfast for us everyday. We enjoyed not having to leave the house for breakfast. The ladies also cooked an amazing dinner for us the last evening. All in all, we had a great time! Only thing we had to get used to first was that they would also offer some of the breakfast/dinner to their gods on various spots INSIDE the villa (e.g. just in front of the bedroom; directly in the kitchen; next to the loungers by the pool;…) by leaving food on the floor.

This place was magical! The staff was superb. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and made to order off an extensive menu. Dewa was the best host, extremely knowledgeable of all attractions to visit, highly recommend using him to book all activities. He arranged a private guide for our sunrise hike up Mt Batur and even had to-go breakfast made for us. My biggest concern visiting Ubud with outdoor common areas was mosquitos, however they were almost non-existent. Lounging in the non-a/c living space was comfortable. It was breezy and the fans worked well when no breeze. AC in bedroom excellent. We stayed in mid-April. Spa services were perfect with a dedicated spa treatment room, massage tables, water for the scrubs. All spa treatments were heavenly good pressure. Even being in the jungle, there were very few critters and pests. Outdoor kitchen was clean and free of insects with only the occasional ant. We never had a reason yo go out except for our hike. Would book this place again!!
One of the most incredible stays our group has ever had! The Airbnb was amazing - we had a great time hanging by the pool, relaxing with onsite spa services, and enjoying the fantastic home cooked food. The location was central and convenient in Ubud. Dewa and the rest of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Exceptional Villa in the heart of Ubud. Dewa and his team provided excellent service from 1st contact, throughout our stay and right up to dropping us off to our next holiday home! We had a delicious cooked breakfast every morning (a full choice from the wonderful App!) and the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and plunge pool were just stunning. It was brilliant to have a free shuttle service into and out of Ubud (about 20-30 minute walk!) each day and Dewa was so accommodating. Highlights were the amazing dinner that we learned how to cook from Boni, Jero and Anu and then enjoyed around the table at the Villa, the tour we took with Dewa to see all the local sights and the peace & quiet and beauty of the whole Villa & grounds. What stands out most is the excellent service provided by Dewa & his team throughout all of our stay… Nothing was too much trouble! We highly recommend staying at Villa Akasa Ubud.. Dewa and the team were very helpful and made great breakfast daily. The Balinese dinner was very good as well. He was very easy to reach and took us to the places locals frequent, very authentic experience. Would love to visit Bali again, and have Dewa be a part of that adventure.
Such a beautiful villa to relax at! Dewa was amazing—very communicative and helped me when I left my card in the atm machine. We loved doing a tour with Dewa to the Rice terrace, the tirta empul temple and the monkey forest. Everything you could need or want is taken care of—just ask! The cold plunge pool was a highlight and the Thai massages were incredible! We also had a delicious vegan dinner and the staff took care of laundry for us. Such a lovely stay!
We’ve stayed in Airbnbs all around the world is this has been our best ever experience. The place is STUNNING, tucked away and private, with amazing amenities like the pool, cold plunge, and hot tub. They come to make breakfast every morning and Dewa drives you to the best places around. What could be better?
This villa is gorgeous and looks exactly as advertised. The villa was a perfect tranquil location to enjoy the in-house spa services and amenities. The staff prepared breakfast daily and the dinners were some of the best food we had on our trip. Note: The surrounding area outside of the villa while it does have shops and restaurants the sidewalks are unwalkable. The combination of dangerous sidewalk conditions and the busy traffic make exploring the area difficult/not enjoyable. Taxi is required to get into the city centre.
Fabulous luxurious stay. The Villa was stunning and peaceful. Dewa made the stay perfect. His recommendations for day trips were great. He shared a wealth of knowledge about his country and customs. I recommend booking him as a driver to Bali attractions. He suggested the ATV jungle experience and we had the best day! Excellent traditional food cooked for us by the staff, highly recommend it. You bet we did the Korean Body scrub❤️. If you have colour treated hair do not immerse it in the pool or use a bathing cap. The bed in room 2 is the most comfortable. If I return to Ubud I would definitely book this villa again! Thanks to Dewa and the staff we loved it.
We were very comfortable and happy staying here! Dewa is fantastic; even when he’s not on-site, he’s very easy to reach and communicative. We set up tours and massages with him and all were fantastic and easy as can be. Beyond Dewa and villa staff, this place stands out for its huge pool (the biggest private pool I’ve ever experienced in a Balinese villa!) and steam sauna. We didn’t have scooters so were dependent on Grabs/taxis/and villa staff for our trips to Ubud; that might be a limiting factor for some but if you have a scooter at your disposal you’ll be golden here.
Dewa made our stay exceptional and helped us after we left the villa. the villa itself is breathtaking and the help of the staff made it so much more. Honestly, we wouldn't have done as much as we did without the help of Dewa. We thank so much for everything! looking forward to coming back one day ♡
We had an amazing stay over valentines for 2 nights. We couldn’t ask for a perfect stay. Dewa and the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you when they visited the villa. The evening meal food was fantastic and breakfast each Morning too. The villa is stunning and so private we will definitely be back
This house has everything you’re looking for an more.. pool, sauna, cold plunge, amazing pool, tropical setting all in Balinese style. The villa is even more beautiful than the pictures. What more can I say? Ah yes! The AMAZING breakfast every morning and the Balinese cooking class were the cherry on top! Dewa was super responsive and helpful. We couldn’t have wished for anything else :)
Best villa in Bali! looks better than the pictures. So spacious and amazing facilities as well. Pool, hot tub, steam room and cold plunge were all so good. Private massages at the villa were so convenient and relaxing. All the staff were amazing from Dewa to the daily villa staff. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
This villa is magical (even better than the photos!!). It is located in a relatively busy street but is quiet and serene. We never got sick of the gorgeous views overlooking the jungle, and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. Breakfast was wonderful every morning, and we also really enjoyed the Balinese cooking class. The staff were so friendly and helpful and Dewa was fabulous! He helped organise whatever we wanted to do, drove us to it, and gave us great recommendations.
Dewa’s beautiful villa was the last stop of our 3 week holiday, so it was perfect for lazing by the pool to read and enjoy the luxurious comforts! The villa app was a great way to organise activities including a home cooked Indonesian feast and Korean Scrub! It was great ro have our own kitchen with a big supermarket nearby…after 3 weeks of eating out for every meal it was so nice to have some muesli and home-cooked spaghetti! So many lovely zones to chill out and beautiful team looking after us. Recommend scooters as the villa is 5-10 mins ride to Ubud centre.

My family had an amazing stay at Villa Akasa and would not hesitate to return. The Villa is beautiful and we made ample use of the pool, hot tub and steam room. Breakfast was prepared by the staff every morning and we also loved the Balinese dinner. Would highly recommend going on an ubud tour with Dewa as well! Although the Villa is a little bit remote, Dewa was always willing to drive us anywhere and we are so grateful!
Dewa was very helpful throughout the entire trip. The city has tons of great food and coffee shops. The villa is relaxing and gives a jungle vibe. We enjoyed the cold plunge tub and the hot sauna combination. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to be close to center city Ubud with a nice place to unwind.
Dewa’s place was amazing. An oasis in the middle of bustling and noisy Ubud. It was just as described. We loved being at the house- we swam, hot rubbed and steamed daily. Beyond the gorgeous house was the incredible Indonesian hospitality and staff. Breakfast made every am at the Villa for us was not only decadent - it was SO delicious. We loved the dinner at the Villa so much, we did it a second a night- eating at the Villa was nicer and more relaxing than going out in ubud, and just as delicious. Finally- take advantage of the massages! They have a beautiful massage room, prices are very competitive (and for this American, downright cheap!)- we had a massage a day! Dewa was so responsive and supportive and helped us in any way we needed it. Airport pick up was super smooth. Everything was perfect.
A place that looks exactly like the photos and all the amenities are as described. You can request the staff to make special food for you and they oblige. The place is admist the jungle so be prepared to be greeted with insects and reptiles as the sun goes down. Primarily frogs and lizards. This is a big place where you can relax comfortably and is perfect for your honeymoon or a family trip. Do enjoy the steam + cold plunge combo. Highly refreshing.
Great stay. We did a retreat here. The house was very peaceful. Bit of noise at night from the road behind us but the energy of the Villa and the staff were amazing. Also the food they provided was incredible. Thank you so much 🙏
Dewa was absolutely AMAZING!!! He communicated very well with us throughout our stay and made sure we were taken care of. Whatever we needed, he was always a text "what's app" away. He was keen to check up on us often to make sure we had everything we needed especially enough food. He showed us around the villa and showed us how the filtered water system worked. He's great at communicating so don't hesitate to ask him anything. He also gave us a Bali 101 crash course on the culture!! The staff who helped cook and clean... they were the best yet. They can make some mean a$$ nasi goreng and mie goreng, as well as amazing everything on the menu!!! Everyone was just lovely and when I come back to Bali, I will def stay here!!! If I could bring dewa and the ladies back home to California with me I would! 10/10
The photos do not do this place justice - if you are unsure/ still deciding, do yourself a favour and book! Dewa and his team were so lovely and accomodating. They catered for everything we asked including tours. Dewa in particular is outstanding and very responsive and organised everything we needed during our stay. Some of the highlights were the delicious food we had for dinner (order the red rice and mushrooms and chilli tamarind fruit salad) - it is absolutely to die for! The on-site massage service was absolutely excellent and relaxing overlooking the jungle. The place is very clean, beautifully managed and very private. Everything is done to perfection. My only drawback was the crazy amount of flies/ geckos at night time during the rainy season. That aside - it was a spectacular stay. We will definitely be back!
Where do I even begin!? The best place to stay if you are in Ubud. First, Dewa was more than amazing. He was very responsive to any question we had during our entire stay. He is extremely friendly and kind. Dewa even went as far to help us arrange transportation and give us recommendations, both local, and outside of a Ubud. The villa itself is extremely beautiful. It is tucked back off of a local road and very easy to access. It is extremely clean inside. There is anything you could ever need and more. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The bathroom is absolutely stunning and fully stocked with supplies. There is full kitchen for cooking as well. The villa offers local transportation daily into Ubud. This was very helpful for us as we visited multiple local coffee shops and yoga studios. They were always extremely accommodating whenever we needed a ride around town. By far favorite part of the trip was the daily home cooked breakfast and one night of traditional Balinese meal. My dad is a professional chef and I can say that the food was definitely our favorite meal during our entire trip. There is fresh fruit every morning. If you are looking for local restaurants Dewa and staff have great recommendations in the area. Overall, this is our favorite part of our trip during our 10 day stay in Bali. We hope to be back one day!
A beautiful oasis , an easy walk to the centre of Ubud. The villa was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay, including comfortable pillows! Dewa, Boni and all the staff were fantastic , they really went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. We would highly recommend staying here at the villa!!
We loved every thing about our stay! The serenity of the villa, the pool, the scrub and massage, super good attentive, friendly and fast service from the staff. They made us feel we are part of their family and we felt at home. We celebrated my birthday at the villa, Boni and Jero made us home cooked dinner upon our arrival. The best beef rendang we’ve ever had! They were very flexible with our constant change of schedule during our entire stay. They were very accommodating with our requests. Dewa gave us good restaurant suggestions.
Our stay at the villa felt like a dream ! Dewa was very communicative and helped us in everything we needed. Boni, Jero and Kadek took care of us so carefully as we feel like family. They cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfasts every morning. We had an amazing four hands massage at the villa with ladies therapists who were amazing and so nice to us. We had such a relaxing time hearing jungle atmosphere during our massage. Every amnesties in the villa were perfect. The location in Ubud was nice to disconnect from busy areas while staying close to spots of interest. Bedrooms and bathroom are spacious and comfy. Pool and jacuzzi were amazing to relax and enjoy together. Sauna and cold pool were a cool bonus !

Absolute perfection. I can’t possible describe how perfect this villa is. Dewa is an incredible host. He is super communicative and helped with anything we needed. There is no detail left unattended at the villa. It is fully stocked with kitchen ware but also toiletries and many power outlets with charging cables. So much attentiveness! We had the Balinese dinner and it was by far and wide our favorite meal. I was actually quite disappointed we only were able to have it once in our two day stay. I also had the massage. I am on holiday from a very stressful job and treated myself to a massage nearly every place we stayed. This massage was the absolute best and I basically begged her for her number so I can track her down again. Dewa also helped us get our laundry sorted, offered to help us find a new rental car when our first one didn’t work out, and organized a tour of the temples for me. Absolutely a delight. My husband and I plan to return to Ubud and Bali in general just so we can return to this villa. Thank you Dewa and the team! What a magical two days!
Wow. What an amazing place and experience. The pictures of the Vila are stunning but when you see it in person it is even better. The staff were incredibly attentive, punctual, super kind, and flexible. We had an amazing Balinese dinner cooked for us by Boni, multiple massages from the amazing therapists, and many tours from Dewa. Everyone wants to make sure you enjoy your stay and they do a great job of it. Dewa helps you anytime of day/night with any aspect of your stay whether it be transportation, organizing events, grocery shopping, pharmacy visits, tours, massage, etc. he is amazing and makes himself available to you whenever you need him. Highly recommend and would love to visit again. 10/10
This gem of a place is hidden down a little lane way. It is beautifully appointed with trendy decor, but in the Balinese style of outdoor living. The living areas are surrounded by little moat which, at night and when it rains, comes alive with the songs of frogs and geckos. The pool was like a cool jungle billabong with a day bed and sun chairs to laze the day away. Both bedrooms are large and have stunning canopy beds, and ensuite outdoor Bali style bathrooms. The spa facilities were an added bonus, we enjoyed the steam room and cold plunge at night and treated ourselves to the Korean spa which was heavenly. The kids even enjoyed an aromatherapy massage! The ladies who take care of the house do a wonderful job and they are so happy and friendly. The Balinese dinner was divine. Dewa was an exceptional host, always on hand to help us with transport and questions. Every request (even our lack of organisation at times!) was taken in his stride and he made our experience seamless. This was a fantastic place to visit with older kids or for a couple/friend group. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I’ve stayed in many hotels and Airbnbs and I’ve never received better and kinder service than I did during my stay here. The staff is some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across and will do just about anything in their power to make your stay more comfortable. Dewa will become like family to you during your stay. He is the best tour guide and will make sure you have the best experience at every attraction. Not to mention he’s just a lovable person and great conversationalist. Boni, Ayyu, Jero and the entire villa staff are also amazing and genuine people. They’re super flexible and want to make sure that your stay and the villa are perfect. The in-house massages were also great - not to mention you get that added convenience of them coming to you and working around your schedule. (Get the Thai Massage) Lastly, Boni and Ayyu make amaaazing food. Seriously, have Boni cook for you as much as possible - her food is better than just about every restaurant I went to in the area. My biggest regret is that we didn’t have her cook for us more and that we didn’t do a cooking class with her. Overall, amazing stay and even better staff. The villa is beautiful, with a great layout and has everything you could need. Loved every minute of it.
If you are on the fence of where to stay, stay here! My husband and I went on a week long delayed honeymoon here and we can not stop talking about how amazing our holiday was. We had very high expectations because of the previous reviews of the Villa and Dewa and it really exceeded any high expectations we had! The Villa is absolutely beautiful in the photos but even more breathtaking in person. Everything is very clean, especially for being indoor/outdoor. The outdoor showers, sauna, and cold plunge pool make you feel like you’re at a spa. The massages were amazing. I got the Balinese massage and Korean scrub and both were fantastic (Dewa recommended the Balinese massage on the first day after the flight and I recommend that as well). The bedroom temperature was a perfect contrast to the air outside for a great nights sleep. Additionally, they go above and beyond to provide everything you need; lotion, shampoo, condition, fresh toothbrush’s, fresh shaving razors, fresh beach/pool towels as often as you need, workout materials, and the list goes on. Next, the staff and Dewa. The staff were the most kind hearted women and they were so attentive. They go above and beyond with making you feel welcome and cleaning every day. The special ordered drinks from Kadek were delicious. The breakfasts everyday were a perfect start and prepared at whatever time you request to accommodate your plans that day. I switched breakfast up every day and everything was AMAZING (favorites were the green pancake and black rice pudding). Dewa is honestly a gift to people’s holidays. He was such a joy to spend time with from the second we booked, then got picked up (at 1am in the morning), and on tours. He was very flexible and communicative and helped so much when we went to different locations to make our experience the best it could be. He is such an easy and funny person to talk with and we learned so much about the Balinese culture, Hindu religion, himself, and so much more! Overall Bali is amazing, with Ubud being our favorite part. We highly recommend tour 2 (Ubud tour and add the coffee plantation) and the tour 4 to Uluwatu! I really could go on forever. We could’ve never had this experience at a regular Airbnb or a hotel. We never had an intention to come back to Bali before we came and now it will be a repeat destination for the rest of our lives because of our experience in Bali and with Dewa.

Absolutely stunning! Felt like heaven. The villa sits on the edge of a ravine, so it feels like you are in the edge of the jungle, can hear the water flowing in the river below. had an incredibly rejuvenating stay here, cycling between yoga, the pool, the sauna, the cold plunge, the hottub and so forth. We scheduled a massage through Dewa and the masseuses came to the villa, my masseuse, Chandra, was so talented. We also got to learn how to cook Balinese food with Boni and Jero during the home-Cooked meal that comes included (you just pay for the ingredients) and the dishes were incredibly delicious. We also loved the many little spots to chill and hangout- from The hammock to the couch area, to the other couch outside the bedrooms with a view of the whole place, to the little cabana overlooking the pool, not to mention the deck chairs if you want to sunbathe. Highly recommend- you basically get your own private spa as part of your stay, and the whole place feels like a magical oasis.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and the trip was perfect in every way. Dewa and his team will take amazing care of you and are so thoughtful in everything they do. They are very attention oriented and will make sure you have the best stay possible. The villa is very clean but of course there are some bugs around the premise as can be expected when staying in an open space near the forest. However, as long as that does not bother you, the photos look exactly like what the villa is in real life. If you are reading these reviews and are on the fence, just go for it! You won’t regret it!

An absolutely fantastic villa! Feels like you're in your private oasis in the middle of the jungle. Dewa & staff are wonderful, always so positive, they gave us a lot of suggestions on what to do, where to go, what to eat. The villa is very spacious with lots of different areas to relax in whether it be the pool, the hammock or the hot tub. Convenient location - lots of stores near by and it's close to Ubud's main area. Highly recommend!

Wenn du auf der Suche bist nach einer hochwertigen Unterkunft mit gemütlichen Betten und tollem Essen bist du hier perfekt aufgehoben :-) wir haben das Frühstück und Abendessen geliebt . Das Grundstück ist ein Traum , sehr gepflegt und es gibt viele süße Ecken zum verweilen . Der Pool ist super und perfekt zum schwimmen ! Es gibt auch einen beheizten Whirlpool . Die Dampfsauna war mein persönliches Highlight , ich habe sie jeden Tag genutzt . Das Abkühlungsbecken extra für die Dampfsauna nebenan war sehr kalt :-) . Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet, mit Liebe im Detail , die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei . Die Badezimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet :-) Ein persönlicher Massage Bereich am Hang zum Jungle macht dein Erlebnis in der Villa Akasa perfekt . Dewa und sein Team sind sehr aufgeschlossen und tuen alles, dass dein Aufenthalt unvergesslich ist . If you’re on the fence about booking, just do it. Dewa’s place is amazing. Close enough to the center but away from all the noise. It’s a perfect retreat. The breakfasts and dinner we had exceeded all expectations. Kadek and Boni were excellent chefs and made this experience the best we had in Bali. Dewa was a great host and driver and have us great advice on local activities. The outdoor lounge and kitchen was the perfect place to sit and relax. The hospitality is unmatched. We highly recommend this villa.
First off, Dewa is the most amazing host ever!! We cannot say enough kind things about him. He is funny, knows all of the best places in Bali and truly is a kind soul who wanted to help make our stay in Bali was amazing. Second, this place is UNREAL! The pictures are accurate and it is even more beautiful in person!! Pristine clean, comfy rooms, awesome outdoor space and so quiet and peaceful tucked away from the road. Third, the staff are amazing! The Balinese dinner was fantastic and the staff who cooked it are so sweet!!! Definitely also recommend a massage. It was so nice and relaxing. Great way to unwind. I cannot recommend this place more, it truly was the best stay we had in Bali and I will be telling all of my friends and family to book this villa if they find themselves in Ubud! Great and easy location too - the daily complimentary ride to the city center by Dewa whenever we needed was perfect for when we wanted to head to shops or restaurants.
Perfect! Amazing location, amazing facilities (especially the steam room), great pool, great staff and Dewa is an absolute star!!! We had a great time in the villa, it is simply stunning! It’s really close to the centre of ubud but when youre in the villa its like being in the middle of nowhere - very quite and peaceful The team are great - preparing a great breakfast each morning and like little elves who somehow manage to clean the entire villa before you’ve had your morning shower! What an amazing place!! Everything about this place is amazing. From the early check-in accommodated, to the home cooked meals by the staff. This place is truly a relaxing heaven, especially after a long day exploring Ubud. Dewa organized cheap scooters for us, and was available any time day or night via whatsapp to help with whatever he could. The place is perfect though, and there were no issues. All the amenities are in great condition and are top class. There’s chargers for all types of devices, a guitar, yoga and gym equipment. They’ve really thought of everything. Would definitely stay here again Thank you Dewa and the team!
This Airbnb is absolutely stunning and has everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. Dewa, Ngurah, Boni and the other staff were so lovely, helpful and invested in us having a good trip, which really made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. Definitely recommend having dinner cooked for you in the villa (and helping Boni out to do so). The villa is a little way from the centre of town but Dewa and Ngurah were never more than a few minutes away to drive us wherever we needed. We will definitely be visiting again!

This place is amazing. If you want privacy and amenity all to yourself or just a few people it is ideal. Situated a short walk from a bustling main road on the edge of the rainforest; you are enveloped in luxury and tranquility. Complete with spa and 5 star quality bedrooms with semi outdoor baths, a steam room and cold dip pool, garden area with pool and hot tub, and private massage area. I loved the outdoor style of the communal, kitchen and dining areas, baths and massage area. The semi outdoor areas convey a oneness with nature all while being protected overhead incase of inclement weather. Getting a massage in a semi outdoor setting with bird song and the sounds of flowing water was such a lovely experience. Better than any spa sound track you could imagine. If you're looking for complete relaxation, look no further. The staff took care of every need and desire. . Dewa, the head of the house and driver, organized everything and knew all the best places to go. Chef Boni, and assistant Kadek, made the most delicious traditional Balinese dinners. Also, fresh fruit and breakfast of your choice every morning. OMG, the mango and dragon fruit. For some reason it just tastes so much better in Bali. It truly is amazing that you can have such a tranquil place all a mere 5-10 min drive from the town center and markets in the heart of Ubud. I can assure you, you will be sad to leave at the end of your stay.
Upon walking into the villa, it immediately took our breath away. We ended up staying 6 nights here and we could not have picked a better setup for our first week in Bali. Location was very convenient to central Ubud and the grounds were magical. The best thing about this villa was definitely Dewa and the staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Don’t miss out on Boni’s Sambal! And definitely treat yourself to a massage. We are going home knowing that we have a true friend in Dewa and will truly miss him! We had a fantastic time at Villa Akasa! The villa was beautiful and the staff were super friendly and supportive. The villa itself is maintained very cleanly and the location is great in Ubud. Dewa was a great host who was very prompt with his communication. He was also our driver who helped plan our trip and drove us everywhere so we could cover everything on our list. He was also a great person to chat with and learn more about Balinese culture. Overall, we had a really awesome experience and would definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting Bali!

My husband and I stayed in Villa Akasa for our honeymoon and to say it was spectacular would be an understatement. The villa and property itself is absolutely magical with its lush greenery, streams and fountains running throughout, and beautifully appointed rooms. The property is about 100 yards back off of a main road that takes you to Ubud city center (5-10 min scooter ride) but it is secluded to provide a quiet, peaceful environment and complete privacy. It really is your own jungle oasis in the city. The entire staff is absolutely amazing and they really took our experience to the next level. Dewa is a wonderful host and was always there to help us out and communicated quickly and clearly. Boni and Kadek came by everyday to cook us breakfast and clean. We also had the traditional Balinese dinner and cooking class with them where Boni took us to the local market. The food was amazing, and we really enjoyed interacting with them. The villa really does have everything and we loved our time there. We hope to visit again soon :-)

Everything was amazing. The property was actually bigger than we’d imagined from the pictures and really private. Dewa and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, they made us breakfast every morning, and a dinner one evening we didn’t feel like going out which was great! (Just paid for the dinner ingredients) The place had everything we needed, spending all day in a private spa was well worth the money. We stayed by ourselves but the place would be so suited to having two couples there.
My wife and love the place!!! Very relaxing, we used the steam room and cold pool more often then expected, so they are big plus. There are restaurants, market, etc. close but about 5min drive to center. We had a rental car and parked it in the street, but motor cycles can park at the front door.
Wow!! Villa Akasa is one of the best villas i have stayed in AirBnB. The pictures dont justify the beauty of this villa - picture perfect with beautiful surroundings and jungle valley behind. the only small drawback is the approach to this villa - you need to walk to 2-3 mins for the villa entrance through a narrow lane. I travelled with my family with 2 small kids and we had a great time in this Villa. Dewa was our host . He was extremely professional and very helpful. he is a great guide with lots of information, and took us to many local tours. he offered us multiple rides to Ubud marketplace for lunch and dinner. and is extremely patient to wait around and attend to us. Thank you Dewa!! The breakfast and dinner in this villa was excellent and offers a lot of variety - including Balinese food. i will definitely recommend this Villa and the host , Dewa. will certainly stay in my next trip to Bali
This is a wonderful villa. Just like the pictures. Truly an oasis. I was at this villa for short time unfortunately (2 nights) wish it was longer. Having the sauna and plunge pool there was fantastic. I had the traditional dinner the first night and it was very good. Once you book you get a link to their website which is very informative and helpful. On there you get to see the meal options for the dinner and breakfast. I had the massage my second day there. It was amazing right by the pool. There is USB charging station and mosquito repellent provided. There is a free once a day round trip ride to Ubud center that is included. Dewa picked me up from my hotel in Ubud and also dropped me off at my next villa in Seminyak. Very fast communication via whatsapp. He responded in a timely manner. I definitely recommend this villa.
I spent a fantastic 2.5 weeks here. The cold plunge and steam room were a game changer and the Boni, Kadek and Dewa went out of the way to provide everything I needed for my friends and me. I would book it for a month if I could!
The property is beautiful and so is their hospitality. The cooks made amazing breakfast for us and we were completely taken care of by them. Dewa is super warm and responsive too. Definitely, coming back here again.
Had an absolutely beautiful time at the villa! Such a gorgeous villa in a great location close to town, but felt peaceful and remote - a true escape from the hustle and bustle. We recommend the cold plunge and steam room combo daily - be warned it is very addicting. Bonnie, Jero, and Kadek are all so warm and caring. They took wonderful care of us, and are truly fantastic chefs (also HIGHLY recommend having dinner in the villa). Speaking of recommendations, the massages are FANTASTIC. Get the thai massage. Seriously so good. So good. Last but definitely not least, Dewa really made our trip something special. Number one driver in all of Bali!!! It felt like a family member, a close brother, taking us all around and showing us Bali. Went above and beyond, always made himself available to us, nothing was ever too small. He customized day trips for us to fit our tastes and what we wanted to explore and is a great tour guide. Seriously only the best things to say about this place and the entire staff. Six out of five stars.
We had a fabulous time at the villa. The villa is outstanding and the photos don't do it justice. It is very quiet very chilled and conveniently located close to Ebert. What made the holiday was Deborah and the team. Their hospitality was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and they happily catered to all our individual requests. They also helped us arrange some really good activities while we were there as well as recommended some fantastic restaurants. We would thoroughly recommend staying at the villa in Ubud it's a slice of luxury and very enjoyable. We would love to stay again at some point. Thank you for having us!
Myself and my girlfriend had an unforgettable few days at villa akasa and with Dewa. The villa is incredible. It is huge and has its own private steam room, pool, plunge pool and massage room. All of which we used and were amazing. Dewa is the manager and was a fantastic host. He brought us everywhere ad was available at all times for questions, transfers to Ubud, day tours etc. and he really made our stay here special. Also, all of the staff are the nicest most pleasant people and made everything so comfortable. We could not have had a better experience in Ubud and if we ever come back, it will be to stay at Villa Akasa. Couldnt recommend this place enough!

Staying at Villa Akasa is really what luxury is all about. Very private, quiet, stunningly beautiful and comfortable. The spa amanitas are so great, if you never tried a sauna/cold plunge combo, you’re in for a treat! we didn’t even want to leave the villa. We also ordered “Korean Scrub” with Metty, and it was absolutely incredible — relaxing and rejuvenating at the same time and with an amazing jungle view. Dewa and the staff really know how to pamper their guests while giving them a lot of privacy and space. We can’t wait to get back here and really didn’t want to leave!

What an amazing place! We really enjoyed all the spa facilities, especially the sauna and cold plunge pool! The staff was wonderful and really made us feel at home. Food was delicious! Boni is a very talented cook, we feel so lucky that we had an opportunity to eat real authentic Balinese food. We also ordered Korean Scrub and Thai Massage and these treatments were out of this world, for a really reasonable price (1/4 of the price in my country). Villa Akasa was sparkling clean and very well maintained. They definitely go above and beyond to keep it clean, even though it's in the middle of the jungle. This villa is a gem, don't miss the opportunity to stay there, you won't regret it. Thank you so much Dewa and the rest of the team!
WOW, what an incredible place! I’ve been in dozens of Airbnb over the years and this is my favorite one! First, the place is stunning. It’s surrounded by jungle and you can even see the a bit of the river if you look down. The open air architecture of the kitchen, living room and dining room is amazing, you are basically in nature all the time. Our room had a huge and very comfortable bed and glass windows to see the jungle outside. The villa was recently renovated, we were the first guests after the renovations, so everything looked fresh and new. It’s sparkling clean and the team comes in the morning to clean and maintain the place. Now let’s talk about the amazing team! Dewa is the friendliest person I ever met, he picked us up at the airport with a sign and a huge smile on his face! a great welcome! he took us to the villa, it was evening hours so the villa looked very magical and enchanted with different lights on the trees, gentle sounds of nature and overall feeling of calm and peace. I slept like a baby! In the morning Jero and Boni prepared a great breakfast, we felt like we were living the life of a rockstar with this team taking care of all our neads. We didn’t get the chance to experience the Balinese dinner and cooking class this time, but we will next time we’re back in a few weeks. We can’t wait! The pool and the hot tub were amazing and soothing! Villa Akasa also has its own app with all the info about the villa and a comprehensive Ubud Insider Guide that I have been using to find amazing, hidden, non-touristy spots, very helpful! I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner and our 2 young daughters. For the 4 year old - it can be a bit scary cause the villa is situated just on the edge of a river valley, without any railing for safety. So I guess this villa is more fitted for young adults and adults. The Villa is extremely charming. Its old but it aged gracefully. The kitchen might be the only part that shows deterioration, but still serves the purpose. Harmless creeping creatures around the villa comes naturally with the lush ubud. You get the full experience of the beautiful mystical Ubud staying here. And for the staff, they are gems. They are extremely sincerely kind and helpful, we love them. The balinese food prepared by the staff are amazing. You can request any balinese dish. They will go to the market and cook in the villa for you. Way tastier, cheaper and healthier than eating out. I honestly miss their home-cooking. Thank you for the amazing hospitality. We had such a memorable stay here.
THE POSITIVE: 1. The villa looks better than the pictures. It’s beautifully designed and well maintained. We really like the common area. It’s cozy and comfortable. The surrounding is really pretty and very close to the nature. The best part is the pool area, it’s a perfect place for morning yoga or meditation. The villa is also not far to the central, only 5-10 minutes by scooter. 2. The staffs were friendly and helpful. They did well in keeping the villa clean. The ladies tried their best in preparing the breakfast and would like to cook for us if we wanted too. But we wanted to explore the eateries around the area, so we dined out often during we stayed. 3. Dewa, the villa manager was great. He was quick in responding our contact; friendly, helpful, as well as vey informative. He would organise day trips if you need to. Unfortunately the main purpose of our visit was a ‘staycation’ during pandemic and we were still uncertain to visit public places. THE ‘not’ NEGATIVE: While this is not a complaint, we think it’s important to share this information: The villa is located at the end of a small lane in a Balinese neighbourhood. To go in and out you will pass some houses. Expect uncleared dog poops and other animal dirts along the path. Also, event though close to the nature, the forest is not that thick. Behind the pool, blocked by some tall trees is another neighborhood. During our stay, amost every day during our stay - we heard either loud noise from the nearby construction work or someone used a motor cutting machine (probably trees/hedge cutting). It was really loud all day long. But, although it was bothersome for us, we understand this was beyond the villa’s control. I guess this is the downside of staying in the nature but still within central area - not really that quiet.

We were graciously greeted by Dewa Arsana, our personal driver and local tour guide. He was waiting for us at the airport. Dewa took us to the rice fields, water temples, Ruins, and to the monkey forest all in one day. He is friendly, speaks great English, and was willing to help in any way. We appreciate our time in Ubud and with Dewa and will be coming back to see him.

Perfect villa in the heart of Ubud. We were welcomed by Dewa who was great and responsive. He had a lot of cool suggestion on what to do and made it clear that if we needed anything he would be here within minutes. The villa itself was beautiful. Better than in picture. It's close to the center of Ubud but isolated enough to get the jungle feel and have privacy. Our breakfast was delicious as well. Honestly I will come back here again and I'm suggesting the villa to my family as well

房东dewa非常风趣热情，接机就是快乐住宿体验的开始。我们在这住了三晚，房子设计的很棒，和周围环境融为一体，但又不是特别原始，家电餐具一应俱全，泳池非常大，水温也好，早上会有工作人员来做早饭。如果会骑摩托车，住在这会显得更加方便，去超市，去乌布皇宫和商业街都不算远，如果不能骑摩托车，也可以请dewa安排出游和接送，他可以根据我们多个目的地的位置设置线路，同时他推荐的餐厅都很不错，很好吃不算贵。和dewa一起出游的两天，让我了解了很多巴厘岛传统文化和习惯，路边看到好的榴莲和山竹还可以随时停车，dewa帮挑，超级方便。总之是非常推荐的，个人觉得适合带老人孩子之旅以及朋友旅行，有机会还会再来的！
We had the most beautiful stay at this villa. Dewa and the gorgeous women that looked after that looked after us were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was executed without any fuss. One of the best parts of this villa is it’s age and it’s history. This may be a little off putting for some as it is a little rustic in some areas but the energy, layout and quirky features (ie record player and old 60’s & 70’s records) well truly make up for it. We loved it!! We’ll be back 😍
The place is very charming and stylish.... good location, perfect big pool, totally private and beautifull jungle view. we were really satisfied with the service privided by the staff and we appreciated activities such a private cooking, massage therapy, etc directly in villa. This villa far exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Ubud but still wanting to feel secluded and isolated from the outside world. This villa, along with the services and hospitality provided by Dewa and his team was no doubt our highlight of our whole Bali trip. We really could not of enjoyed ourselves the way we did without him. Pictures genuinely do not do this place justice! We really cannot fault this villa in regards to the cleanliness and even the bedding they used were well and truely upto our bedding snob standards. The cleaners, chefs and masseuse/s provided were absolutely lovely. If you're looking for a driver, seek no further. Dewa is your absolute man. Great vehicle, safe driving, extremely knowledgeable, funny, respectful, understanding, polite, affordable, great English and knows the needs of travelers. A++++

Can’t recommend this villa enough! Not only was it one of the best places we’ve stayed at but was also one with such great hosts! Dewa and the rest of the staff were brilliant. From being genuinely hospitable to giving us local tips to showing us around Ubud, they made our stay a truly special one.
What can I not say about this incredible place. Your trip here will be more than just a place to stay, it will be a complete Balinese experience from a cultural and culinary perspective. Arriving at Bali airport can be overwhelming as you’re greeted with hundreds of drivers holding signs, but Dewa and I connected the minute I landed and pick up was a breeze, despite the complications that come with traveling with a 3 year old and 10 month old. We were on the road to Ubud in minutes and even stopped at a local hawker for some take-away dinner. The villa is jaw-droppingly beautiful, two huge rooms with giant beds and a glass wall that opens up on the view of the pool, jungle and the outdoor living & dining area and kitchen. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms air conditioned, and the outdoor bathroom is stunning and despite being outside, it’s completely private. The provided a travel crib which I’d recommend only if your baby isn’t crawling. The pool temperature is perfect with mosquito repellant and sunblock provided. The swimming hut is always shaded so you can escape the sun. The villa is situated on the cusp of the jungle so it’s a steep drop into green abyss which means you get lovely nature sounds throughout your stay. The staff arrive to make you breakfast and tidy your room every morning. For me, the thought having people help around the house as “staff” was a little awkward but I needn’t have worried. They’re the sweetest, kindest ladies and they’ll also cook anything you’d like to eat and leave you to enjoy the space in complete privacy by late morning. The opportunity to have them cook us a traditional dinner is something I’ll never forget. We wanted to see a lot while in Ubud and Dewa was happy to drive us around(for a small fee you settle at the end) and was a knowledgeable tour guide, having grown up in Bali. His English is excellent, he’s great with kids and he’s very responsive on WhatsApp. Ubud is the center of handicraft and there’s such a beautiful array of craft to explore from weaving, ceramics, wood carving and heavier stonework and furniture making. It was hard to not buy, and bargaining is encouraged. What a lovely experience, I’ll be back!
This place is amazing. Not only are you getting a beautiful villa in the middle of the jungle, you get an experience. Dewa is absolutely amazing- he will take you anywhere you want to go and give you insider tips and tricks on local attractions, eateries, general information about the area and more. He goes out of your way to make sure you have everything you need, and responds promptly to all communications. He even arranged for us to have massages poolside the day after our long journey! The staff are amazing and make delicious breakfasts every morning, and a traditional Balinese dinner one evening. The villa is well kept, with the staff coming to clean everyday and look after the pool. I would for sure stay here again, and recommend to anyone going on a girls trip like us, or couples getaway! We loved staying here. The villa is quiet and private. Every morning was started off with a delicious, simple breakfast made by the friendly staff. Most days we utilized Dewa as our driver, I think we only went one day without him. He was an amazing host, who took the time to teach us about Bali and even helped us create our itinerary. He went above and beyond; including getting monkeys off my back and picking us up at 2:30am to climb a volcano. He even scheduled our transportation to and from our other two air Bnbs. Whenever we needed him, he was there. We stayed in 3 places during our time in Bali. This was our favorite, because it was close to multiple attractions (and shopping) and Dewa made us feel like friends instead of customers. We plan to go back soon.
It is a very tastefully done tropical oasis in the heart of a local neighborhood. Very much in harmony with nature, beautifully designed and maintained. The staff are very attentive and clearly proud of the lovely house.
I highly recommend staying here, Dewa was an amazing host and the staff were lovely, treating us to a traditional Balinese dinner and breakfasts daily. The villa was gorgeous and even better than the photos!
This house is a gem. A little oasis that we were very sad to leave. We stayed here right at the end of our trip, and wish we had been here the whole time. Dewa and the rest of the staff at Akasa were lovely, and we would happily stay here again.

The villa was so beautiful and even nicer than what’s pictured. It’s location isn’t far from the main city. Maybe a 25 min walk or a 10min drive. It was clean and the staff were very nice and attentive. But what made the place even more special was Dewa, the host. My friends and I preferred staying in our own private oasis over staying in the crowded main town of ubud. In all my years of traveling, I can honestly say that dewa has been the best host I’ve ever experienced on Airbnb. He was so tentative and helpful and readily available. One of my friends accidentally left her iPhone in a taxi and we messaged dewa he and helped her track down the driver and got it back for her! Even after our stay at the villa in ubud he helped us arrange our transportation to our other destinations around Bali. I highly recommend this place not only because the villa was a perfect escape from Busy Bali but also because Dewa made our stay in Bali much more memorable.
This villa is set down a quiet lane way within walking distance to some fantastic cafes, restaurants and supermarket. The setting once inside your villa is tranquil and peaceful amongst the jungle setting. Everything was clean and maintained daily and lovely breakfasts and a dinner was prepared by the friendly staff. Dewa was an exceptional host and nothing was ever a problem. He made sure our stay was perfect. My kids loved staying in this villa - they said it was the best place they had stayed in Bali!
Wonderful location. Right in the heart of town yet it feels like you’re in your own private oasis. The 3 ladies are beautiful - friendly, helpful. Their services are included in the room rate. Dewa manages the bookings and communication. He is very prompt with his communication via WhatsApp. He can also act as a private driver - for a fee. Not included in room rate. I used Grab (Asian version of Uber) a lot as their fees are very cheap in Bali.

Dewa's place is absolutely stunning!! It looks exactly like the pictures and it couldn't have been more beautiful. Breakfast was included every day and the place was spotless even with being surrounded by water and jungle! Dewa was such a fantastic host also!! It was our first time in Bali so I wanted to see everything. I gave him a list of things I wanted to see the first night and he basically delivered an itinerary in about an hour and spent the next three days taking us to every single place! He is extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the culture. The cost of the villa plus essentially having a personal tour guide was still way cheaper than it would have been to stay in a hotel. I highly recommend dewa and 10/10 would stay here again!!
As many reviews have already noted, Dewa is a great host and I highly recommend using him as your driver. He is very willing to share stories and teach you about culture and life in Ubud. Dewa did a great job helping us with our schedule, and was even willing to wake up very early so we could do a sunrise hike at Mt Batur. The villa itself was nice but had shown some signs of wear and could use an update. The pool area backing up to the jungle is particularly nice and we loved the living room.

Such a beautiful villa in a handy location in Ubud. Dewa was so friendly and helpful and really added to our stay. The staff were lovely and cooked beautiful food. The unique space is so peaceful and welcoming. The pool was amazing to swim in and sunbath by and the open style bathrooms were very cool. We didn’t want to leave!
I don’t know where to start, everything about this villa is perfect! The staff is amazing and make the most delicious breakfast and I 100% recommend a home cooked meal. Dewa, was the best host. From communicating with us prior to the trip and setting up all the activities we wanted to do in Ubud. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and we couldn’t have had a better time, in the end i just wished we had more time. Dewa was the best possible host in Ubud. He was able to teach us so much about the local culture as well as set up all of our excursions and day trips for us with absolutely no problems. He speaks amazing English and is able to talk so much about the different temples and places we visited. He showed us plenty of local Balinese food as well as the ladies who cooked us a traditional Balinese dinner in the villa. The pictures do not do the villa justice, as it is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. A very relaxing stay and so close to Ubud center. I would recommend staying here for anybody trying to stay in Ubud as its an amazing place with a great location. I can’t say enough about how great Dewa and the team around the villa were. Next time I am in Bali I will definitely be back to Villa Akasa. Thank you guys so much!
Hidden gem, down a tiny laneway off a busy main road just out of Ubud town. The property is a private oasis backing onto the jungle offering a “live like a rockstar” experience. The stunning bedrooms and individual open air bathrooms. The beautiful pool and covered daybed area is just perfect for chillin the day away. So many little nooks for people to lounge around in and read, relax, whatever. You’re in your own little world. Dewa and the team are alway commutative and available. Cooked us a wonderful local dinner one night that had so much food. Dewa also took us on a fantastic private day tour around Ubud seeing the sights and providing a lot of information. Only down side is it’s a bit far from town and any close local restaurants. But that’s also the beauty. Mini marts are fairly close by for supplies if needed..

The only regret I have from our stay is not staying longer! We had 2 nights at this gorgeous villa and exceeded all expectations. Dewa and his staff sure know how to welcome their guests and tend to there every need. The villa itself is so beautiful and well taken care of. You feel like royalty at this place. Keep in mind the living space is connected to outdoors but rooms are closed off. Dewa thought of every detail and really catered to us. I mean, he even called in 4 nice masseuse to make a house call give us massages in the comfort of the villa. We will definitely be back!!!
Very local place, tucked down the end of a laneway that belies the absolute privacy of a jungle setting. Area positives are: very close to Alphamart (7-11 style convenience) & large very posh supermarket. Stunning jungle scenery. Complete privacy. Luxurious architecturally significant house Friendly and accommodating staff Balinese owned. Peaceful well manicured garden. Pool, wifi, lounge areas, shower, bed all excellent.
Great location and amazing staff in a quiet neighborhood just north of Ubud town center. We had an amazing time at the villa, and would recommend it to any of our friends visiting Bali. We'd also recommend retaining Dewa as a driver; he was punctual, friendly and accommodating and really improved our stay. Looking forward to our next trip!
This villa and all the staff are amazing. Dewa is very knowledgable of Bali and is also very humorous! Will go out of his way to do anything for your trip, from day tours to picking us up at 2.30am for a hike up a volcano, he will help make your stay very memorable. Also highly recommend the dinner you can organise to be cooked by the lovely ladies that work in the villa, it has been the best food we have eaten in Bali. Would love to come and stay in this villa again next time we are in Bali!

La maison est sublime ! Cachée au bout d’une ruelle, la maison est à la lisière de la jungle. Les staff est adorable : Boni, la manager vous proposera de cuisiner pour vous, leur petit déjeuner est excellent, et Dewa se pliera en quatre pour vous faire passer les meilleures vacances qui soient. Pensez à vous protéger des moustiques par contre, qui dit jungle, dit humidité.
This villa is amazing and I will recommend it to any of my friends traveling to Ubud in the future. Dewa was a fantastic host and we ended up hiring him to drive us around to different spots on the island. If you rent this villa, I would also recommend that you use Dewa as your driver. The villa itself was just outside of town on a quiet street, hidden away from the bustle of Ubud city. The plunge pool has a jungle backdrop and we enjoyed the sounds of birds, lizards and frogs.
Villa is exactly what you see online. Please note that bathroom is outside( a lot of bugs). Staff is very friendly. Dewa is great host and will take where you need to go and shows you around and talks to you about the history of Ubud. Had a great stay overall.
Our stay at this beautiful home in Ubud was nothing short of amazing! From our first email contact with Dewa until he dropped us off at our next accomodation, Dewa was great to deal with. Dewa collected us at the airport, was easy to contact with any questions and made a fantastic tour guide full of information and suggestions. The other staff who come to clean and cook breakfast are also lovely and made us feel at home. They came back one evening to make us a delicious Balinese feast. The property itself is stunning. Gorgeous to look at and a pleasure to relax in., it was almost too good to leave and go sightseeing. The property was clean, comfortable and more than I expected.

Highly recommend staying at this beautiful villa in Ubud! Firstly, the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. They made us delicious breakfast every day and a traditional Balinese feast one night, which blew us away! The villa itself is paradise and the best pace we stayed in Bali. We loved the little touches like record player, a great library of books, a hammock and all the amenities you could ever need! It was very homeley. Dewa the driver was another highlight of the trip! He made getting around so easy and nothing was too much effort! He even found some activities to do and had great recommendations for sight seeing! We can’t wait to stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property for the following reasons: - excellent well maintained property with character - it's truly nestled in the jungle giving you a unique Ubud experience - the wonderful staff who care for the villa - Jero and Ketut, went above and beyond. Jero gave me a ride to yoga every day and picked me up after. Ketut made ginger tea and also cooked rice when my dad was not feeling well - Dewa for all his hospitality!

This place is a gem! We stayed here for the second half of a two week trip to Bali. It was slightly away from the beaten path, but that was 100% a positive thing. The edge of the property is against a rainforest backdrop and (other than a little noise during the daytime) is a perfect, quiet retreat after long days shopping and hiking. The space is a short distance from Ubud. However, we walked in and out of town each day without any problems. There are lots of little shops and restaurants on your way into town and close to the villa. Many of the places of interest around Ubud are only a short drive from the villa. It is an open air villa, so don’t be surprised to see geckos and frogs around, as well as a couple creepy crawlies. The bedrooms were perfectly sealed off, though. And we had no problems with bugs or anything in there. I would highly recommend the space to anyone and I would absolutely stay here again! Dewa and the ladies were very accommodating and made the stay an absolute joy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa and would give 10 stars if we could; it is so incredible and far exceeded our expectations. The hospitality and home cooking gave it a great personal touch along with Dewa’s tips of where to go and what to do. Having him drive us around helped so much. Staying at Villa Akasa was like having our own little piece of paradise in Bali. Located away from the chaotic centre of Ubud but close enough to jump in a taxi if needing a trendy cafe fix. The local shopping (jalan Raya Andong) is outstanding for handbags and macrame pieces, and the local restaurants are also amazing. The staff at the villa greeted us every morning with smiles and prepared our beautiful breakfasts. They even prepared us a Balinese feast one evening which was the most incredible food we have ever eaten in Bali. Dewa, our driver was friendly, courteous and always polite and lots of fun. His local knowledge was incredible. This villa has been a standout in the 10 times I have travelled to Bali. My friends and I will most certainly return. Thank you again Dewa and girls 🥰
This place lives up to every glowing review, every beautiful photo, and every word in the description. The space itself is incredible, somehow rustic and luxury all at the same time. The common areas are all beautifully appointed outdoor spaces, while the two bedrooms are enclosed in their own glass rooms (with AC!). The outdoor showers are absolutely stunning and a pleasure to use. The pool area was perfect with lounge chairs and a little gazebo bed for prime napping. But what sets this apart from any other AirBnb I’ve stayed at is the staff—especially Dewa. We literally don’t know what we would have done without him on our trip. He did everything from arranging massages at the villa (definitely get one, or two!) to taking us on a full day tour (a waterfall, a coffee plantation, lunch, everything). He’s friendly, easy to talk to, helpful, and just a seriously good guy! Guaranteed he will make sure you have everything you need while in Ubud. The walk to town is a bit bumpy, but totally doable in 20 or so minutes during the day—and it was honestly nice to be out of the hustle of the main streets. Don’t be alarmed by the alleyway you have to walk down to get to the property, an oasis awaits! Also, it’s all artisan warehouses along the way, so make sure you peak in to get a look at some super cool crafting happening. Oh, and don’t miss having the lovely staff cook you dinner one night! The food was delicious authentic Balinese cuisine and they made sure we got to try a little bit of everything. I’ve already recommended this place to family and friends if that tells you anything!
Amazing space. Such a good jungle escape! Dewa was so good and helped us decide what to do and then he planned our tours. He spent so much time talking to us and making sure we would get the most out of our stay and our time in Ubud. We had daily breakfast prepared by the lovely staff. It was a truly a serene experience at his villa, Thankyou!
We visited Bali and stayed in 3 villas - this one was definitely our favorite. It's a really fantastic property close enough to downtown to walk. The pool was really nice. Speaker systems (and guitar!), great hangout area, and big kitchen. We took a couple of trips with Dewa, who was very helpful to us. The process for arranging rides and building an itinerary was easy and painless. We also learned a lot from Dewa about local culture and live in Bali. We also really enjoyed the staff! We did a morning hike and they prepared breakfast for us. They also made us a great local dinner (for a very small price - breakfast was free). The last day they made us breakfast of green pancakes, fruit, and balinese coffee. Overall it was a very positive experience. Would highly recommend to anyone considering Ubud and looking for a 2 bedroom property.
The place was beautiful! 30min walk into downtown Ubud during the day, you want to cab it at night because of large holes in the sidewalk. Dewa picked us up from our other Airbnb in Canggu and took us to a few good spots on the way to his place. It was amazing how much we fit in. He set us up with a downhill cycling tour and transportation. the ladies made us breakfast and a wonderful dinner. the place is gorgeous, the pool very relaxing.
We loved our time at this beautiful private villa! Felt so looked after by Dewa and the team what great hospitality! With delicious breakfasts and an amazing traditional Balinese dinner! It also felt very homely with all the great books, and music available.

My husband and I stayed at the villa for the first week of our honeymoon in Bali, and we cannot say enough great things about the beautiful villa but more importantly the hospitality and kindness of Dewa and the entire staff. They truly made our entire trip to Bali incredible. Dewa was there to offer amazing local recommendations and to show and teach us all about Balinese culture. We are so grateful for his time during our trip. The rest of the staff was also so incredibly kind and generous, and the highlight of our stay was a home cooked Balinese dinner after a long day of sightseeing with Dewa. The villa is perfectly decorated and outfitted with everything you need for a luxurious stay. We can’t recommend this Airbnb enough and we are already planning our next trip back!!
Our stay was wonderful. Highlights were homemade Indonesian dinner and the Water Temple. Dewa is warm and we had a great time getting to know him while he drove us around on our adventures.

An amazing stay! We stayed just the two of us for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon (which was wonderful!) though it is really designed to fit two couples as there are two king beds in separate rooms - we used the extra room for massages. Dewa is available to pick you up, drop you off, and arrange anything else you need - he’s such a nice and down-to-earth person who we really felt at home with. We ended up using him as our driver for the rest of our stay in Ubud, even after we left the villa. Each day, Boni and two other women arrive in the morning to clean, prepare breakfast, make Balinese offerings, and check in with you. They cooked us an incredible banquet our first night, and when I was curious about the ingredients they took me to the market and showed me around! When I asked about the offerings, they brought materials and invited me to help prepare the offerings the next morning. There is a masseuse who will come to the house and give an hour-long massage for approx $14. When Dewa found out I ride a motorbike, he had one dropped off at the house. That’s just the type of place it is - everything happens magically and it’s all very relaxing. The view is very private, the rooms are immaculate and spacious, the living room area is inviting and cozy, the pool is a perfect temperature. For a villa of this size, luxury and location, you’d really have to spend five times as much per night at a hotel. Overall a great experience and we’d love to come back.
Our stay at this villa was the highlight of our first trip to Bali. At the end of a quiet alley, the villa is private, secluded, stunning and everything you could hope for while staying in Ubud -- a true sanctuary in the middle of the city. The pictures do the villa great justice, but once you walk onto the grounds, you know you're truly in a very special place. The attention to detail, modern amenities, Balinese touches and outdoor living environment are enchanting, and staying here is an experience we'll never forget. While we could go on and on about the villa -- its pool, coy ponds, outdoor shower, stunning bedroom, great surround sound system and upscale touches -- it was truly the staff who brought this place to life. Boni and staff came to cook us delicious breakfast and make French-press coffee (that was DELICIOUS) and put out offerings every morning. We expressed interest in learning about this religious custom, and the next day she brought all the materials and personally showed us how to weave the baskets and put together the offerings, in addition to explaining the significance behind the beautiful tradition and custom. Dewa (Wayan) is a true hospitality expert and made us feel right at home (and like family) from the moment we met him. He took great care to make sure all of our needs were met (from trips to the grocery store to helping us order delivery for dinner, to ensuring that we remembered to put on sunscreen, and educating us about local customs, ceremonies and holidays -- he even kept extra cash on hand when we ran short before we could go to an ATM). Dewa thought of everything. We had a list of things we wanted to see and experience while in Ubud, and he put together a perfect itinerary to ensure we saw everything -- in addition to some unexpected places that taught us about the culture and what it's like to live in Bali. He was a completely open book and shared so much about his island. Our one bit of advice is to take advantage of using Dewa as your host and driver while staying -- meeting and spending time with him will be the highlight of your trip. He truly made us feel like family, and we were sad to say goodbye when we left. Not only does this villa offer stunning amenities, indoor-outdoor living, and privacy, it also provides an unforgettable and authentic experience that you'll take with you long after you leave the island. We HIGHLY recommend this place and would go back in an instant.
If you're looking for a beautiful and private sanctuary, Wayan's Villa is the one! It's like living the local life with modern interior and beautiful cultural touches! Our driver Dewa is everything you could ask for and more. He responds within sec and has the best recommendations for everything, from food, excursions, and all the information that you'll need. He is very knowledgeable and drove us everywhere in Ubud even to ur next Villa in Seminyak. He made our trip very memorable and he is very well educated! We would like to vote him best driver/host in all of Bali! The Villa came with a wonderful staff who are very hospitable and would cook us delicious local breakfast every morning and provided us a wonderful last day meal for dinner. They also made sure to clean our Villa every morning. The Villa itself is best for photography. My friend is a photographer and I am a stylist, every room was picturesque! It was like living outside but inside...the bathroom was open to the outside. The dining and kitchen was also outdoors. The bedroom was fully equipped with A.C. Lastly, the outdoor private pool was overlooking the jungle! you can hear the sound of the nature. It was like a dream. On the other hand, if you have kids/babies, this is not very kid friendly as it is 2 floors and outdoors. But, it is perfect! Photos from here could not do it justice, the whole experience was better than the photos! We will definitely stay here again in the future!
We loved this villa in Ubud. We especially loved cooking one morning with Boni, Katut and Komang...it was a very special part of our experience. It’s very private and lush and you feel very far from the city even though it’s not too far from the main part of town. Several nice coffee shops are still within walking distance as well.
We were so lucky to have been able to stay here! Gorgeous jungle oasis - the entrance, the outdoor living space, the bedrooms, outdoor ensuite bathrooms, the pool and cabana.. all were amazing and you have to stay here to truly get the feel of this villa. Boni and the ladies were very sweet and prepared a lovely breakfast each morning. Dewa was always responsive for anything we needed, provided suggestions, and was great with arranging tours/driving services as needed. This was a most wonderful way to experience Ubud!
This villa is a great escape from the busy city and is set far back from the road so it’s always nice and quiet. It’s a great place for couples who want to relax. Our flight was delayed so we arrived in the evening and after a busy day of traveling we weren’t up for going out to dinner, Dewa went and picked up take out for us and even made an extra stop to get us a bottle of wine. Each morning we were greeted by the lovely staff who made us breakfast. Dewa is so awesome and just wants you to have a special experience. I would HIGHLY recommend using Dewa to tour around Ubud and other parts of Bali (just let him know at least a day in advance of course). We took many tours while in Bali and our tours with Dewa were BY FAR the best because he really goes above and beyond and you learn so much about Bali and it’s history, he also speaks amazing English. He is also great for recommending restaurants! The ones he suggested ended up being some of our favorite and most memorable. He calls to make the reservations for you as well which is so helpful. He really gets to know his guests and our honeymoon would not have been the same had we not stayed at this villa and met Dewa. One thing to keep in mind is the main living space and kitchen are indoor/outdoor and may not be to western standard for some. The kitchen would benefit from better cleaning/organization and the furniture outside is a bit stained so some might have an issue with this. If you are a clean freak it’s just something to keep in mind. I just wouldn’t want this to overshadow anyone’s stay because the villa is truly in a beautiful location and it is so peaceful/serene. The bedrooms are completely inside and very clean and comfortable with AC (which you don’t always find in Bali). For travel to Ubud center its best to take a taxi or use Dewa because it’s about a 20 minute walk or so. Or rent a scooter if you’re brave :) ! There is a little market down the road that was a quick walk —maybe 5 minutes or so. There are also lots of artsy shops within walking distance that we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to go to but wish we had! Stay here if you want the most of your trip to Ubud/Bali!! You will not regret it! We will miss Dewa and the serenity of this villa!
What an exotic retreat! You are in good hands with Dewa, he made some great recommendations and was very accommodating in organising drivers. The backdrop of the villa is the jungle, complete with all its friends which was actually really fun to watch the frogs, lizards, birds, squirrels (I think) roam around. The staff cooked a delicious meal for us and provided a great breakfast. The traffic in Ubud is worse than we thought, so it was great to have a relaxing villa to spend time in. Thanks team!

We loved this house so much. You would never know that down the little street of local houses you walk down is a stunning house and jungle beyond it. Such a hidden gem and so beautiful. Dewa and the ladies who worked at the house were all fantastic. Dewa was around to show us around Ubud with lots of info and stories about Ubud and Balinese culture and the ladies in the house cooked a great breakfast and even more incredible Balinese dinner one evening. We loved walking into town, lazing around the beautiful pool and watching the wildlife around the garden. The beds were super comfortable and the house had everything we needed. We would love to come back again soon.
We had incredible experience at villa. The villa is very clean, beautiful and private. You can stay here all day long, doing yoga, relaxing, swimming, or just listen the music, enjoy the nature from the villa. THE BEST PART is the staffs of villa, Dewa, Boni, Ketut and Komang. Boni, Ketut and Komang, they keep villa clean everyday, and they are so great in cooking!! and always keep smiling:) Dewa is a super fun, humor, the greatest tourist guide!!! He has very good taste for tourists to traveling in bali, and he took care of everything we needed. If we are going to bali again, we definitely will stay here again! Villa Akasa was an absolutely beautiful place to explore Ubud. The villa was great and secluded from the main hustle and bustle. It was heaven waking up there every morning. Dewa was a great guide/driver- always helpful and with a smile on his face! The three ladies were also gorgeous and friendly. Highly recommend staying here!
Outstanding on every level. admittedly we weren't as organised this trip so had a few last minute things to organise, Dewa and the staff helped us with ease. Nothing was a problem. The villa was amazing, we loved every moment of our stay!
Our stay at this villa was beyond words. Upon entering my friends and I were shocked at how incredibly beautiful it was. The pictures are beautiful but the actual space is phenomenal. So serene! Our stay was short so we didn't get to enjoy the Villa as much as we'd like but we made sure to get in some night time pool action after being out at ubuds market and walking the streets for bit. The temp of the pool was great and instantly cooled us down. The staff was lovely and attentive, since we had a full day planned we didn't enjot the breakfast until our final day but man was it delicious!! They cut up some fresh coconuts once we arrived and also bought some more for us on the day we departed. Location wise it's a bit of a walk Into the center of Ubud, (about twenty minutes ) but there are cabs around in case you don't want to make the trek. We enjoyed the walk! Dewa the driver provided by the villa and our contact person couldn't have been any better. He was heaven sent!! He picked us up from our villa in Canguu & helped us plan one of the best days we had on our trip. Even taking us to a local temple to celebrate Galungan with the locals. This villa would have been beautiful and great on its own but add in Dewa and it made our stay perfect! Already planning our next visit and most definitely staying here again!!
We had a beautiful 5 days at the villa. It was absolutely stunning! The best part was the amazing staff. They were all so amazing! We were so happy to spend our time with driving to adventures with Dewa and doing the in-villa cooking class with the ladies. Best experiences of our time in Ubud!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. What a GREAT experience! From the moment we landed in Bali, Dewa took care of us and made sure we had the best time. We would have been lost without him. The villa was picture perfect and the best place we stayed during our Bali travels. The location is just a quick drive to all the Ubud hot spots, and with Dewa you didn't even have to worry about transportation - he took care of everything we needed. The Villa was so serene and relaxing. The sounds of the fountain, nature, and the koi ponds were magical. The moment we stepped into the villa we knew we picked the right place to stay. The villa is clean, in great condition, and the exact escape we were looking for. The staff are the real ALL STARS here - Boni, Ketut and Kimang greeted us each morning with their lovely smiles and prepared us a delicious breakfast with fresh ingredients from the garden down by the pool. We also opted to have them prepare dinner for us in the villa one night and it was BY FAR the best meal we had in all of Bali (we visited Ubud, Gili Islands, Seminyak, Canngu, etc). I am still dreaming of our perfect breakfasts overlooking the gorgeous villa with the jungle backdrop. I can't recommend this place enough and I will absolutely be coming back. The rooms are private, air conditioned and clean. The decor is modern, the landscape is beautiful, and the property is well kept. Do yourself a favor, and STAY HERE! The price is FANTASTIC for what you get - a gorgeous villa with the BEST service in all of Bali. I love Dewa, Boni, Ketut and Kimang!!! Please be gracious and take good care of them, as they do for you.
The Akasa villa was everything we had hoped for. The setting is beautiful, secluded, and relaxing for our small family. The food that was prepared every morning by the staff was fantastic and we took advantage of their great cooking ability for a dinner and lunch during our stay. It's a great way to enjoy a real Balinese feast! Our driver Dewa was also fantastic and didnt miss a beat! From the moment we arrived until the moment we were returned to the Airport we were well catered for. We would definitely like to come back again!
This villa is an incredible getaway in Ubud. One of the best parts about it is Dewa. He will take care of you from start to finish and give helpful suggestions on things to do. The staff members are also great and cooked us an amazing Indonesian meal one night. Would definitely go back.
We were 2 couples and we can say that this is the best villa we had during our trip in Bali. We loved everything ! The villa itself seven better than the pictures. It is well located and we hired some scooters to go to the centre. Boni and the girls are really lovely and they even cooked a diner for us at the villa and it was delicious !!! We did not had the chance to met Dewa but he sent his friend Wayan and he was very nice. We will definitely come back as soon as we can ! Thanks again to Wayan, Dewa, Boni & all the team !
My stay at this villa was great. I was picked up in Seminyak, after a week there for a retreat, by Dewa. The drive was pleasant and Dewa is very nice and accomodating. When I arrived at the villa, it was stunning. It is just like the photos! The staff made pandan pancakes with banana inside for me every day and it was delicious. I also had them cook dinner for me one evening, as I picked from the menu, and it was really really great. One thing to note that I didn't think of, the two bedrooms do not connect. This isn't an issue AT ALL, just you have to go outside to get from one bedroom to another. I was staying here alone (unexpectedly as my friend had passport issues) so that wasn't an issue for me at all, but if you had kids or something in the other room you might think of that. I think this place is a wonderful spot for two couples to stay in. Its a great place to relax and get away, but also be close to restaurants and shops. There is a convenience store right outside of the alleyway that the villa is located on, and a supermarket about a 7 minute walk away, closer into town. If I come back to Ubud, I would love to stay here and I highly recommend it!

The villa is absolutely stunning, even better than the pictures and has a really relaxing vibe. All of the communication from booking to check out was brilliant. We arranged a pick up from Padang Bai with Dewa following our return from the Gili Islands and Dewa had been in touch before hand to recommend the best time to travel and recommended boat companies. Dewa was an absolute star, he helped us to plan our entire stay in Ubud and the best activities to do and things to see. We arranged a day tour around Ubud seeing the rice terraces, Tirta Empul, the river terrace swing and coffee tasting, he took us to an amazing restaurant for lunch and then to the elephant temple, Dewa was an amazing guide he is full of so much local knowledge which is more than happy to share. We also arranged a volcano sunrise trek up Mount Batur and white water rafting which was so much fun and the ridge walk aswell. Dewa also arranged for Boni to show us how they prepare the offerings in a morning in the villa which was really good and we had a traditional Balinese dinner in the villa one night made by Boni and the girls which was incredible. The service by them was also wonderful, the banana pancakes for breakfast were delicious. We all agreed this was the best place we stayed during our time in Bali and that was largely down to Dewa and the staff! If I can give you one tip while staying in Ubud it would be to stay at this villa and make sure you utilise Dewa as he was so good! Thank you to all of the staff for making our stay so memorable. We hope to return soon!
We had a lovely stay here in Ubud. Our flight was delayed by three hours and the sweet staff all stayed until late into the night to make sure we arrived safely. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing in the open air dining room. The pool was perfect temperature. We rented scooters from them which made getting around super easy. Thanks so much!

This place is magical. Unexpectedly tucked away off a main street leading to a slew of artisans and beautiful handcrafted items for which Ubud is known, the Villa sits above a gorgeous slice of jungle. The pool is incredible and the staff are incredibly caring and meticulous! We landed on Dec 31st and the staff stayed late to prepare a Balinese feast for us to celebrate NYE. Dewa, the villa driver, was lovely and even helped with baggage storage while we traveled to another island. The breakfasts prepared every morning we’re incredible and a wonderful treat to start our days. All in all, we could not have been more pleased with this gorgeous slice of Balinese heaven!

My husband and I stayed here for a full week around the holidays and we were absolutely blown away by the experience. Worth every penny! The airport pickup was super smooth, the internet was fast and reliable, the villa was breathtaking, they had AC and bug nets in the bedrooms so it was comfortable to sleep there, too. The villa is tucked away at the end of a long alley so it was super quiet and we never had any issues with neighbors. It's a five minute scooter ride (which they had the scooter delivered to us at the door with two helmets when we arrived), to downtown Ubud so the location was perfect. The three women that came and cooked us meals, cleaned, and put out daily offerings were so sweet and helpful. They even delivered our suitcases to our next AirBnb that was 30 min away. I can't say enough good things about this villa and the people that run it. It was such a magical week for us and we're so grateful that we got to stay in this stunning home!

The Villa was amazing! Great location, surrounded by nature in a calm peaceful environment. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay there anytime. They have many small beautiful details everywhere, beautiful Flowers, books, decorations, a vegetable garden around the pool, smell of the flowers in the morning that make this place so special. It was a great experience waking up every morning surrounded by nature and at the same time so close to everything! The staff was in my opinion the best of all! They smile all the time and are really attentive and friendly. We decided to have dinner at the villa and they cooked for us and I can say was the best meal we had in days it was delicious! I also loved the green pancakes in the morning and omelette ! Dewa was our driver and if sure we couldn’t have a better one definitely recommend to have him as your driver and let him pick you up at the airport. Always punctual, knowledgeable, proactive great english, amazing guide and always great attitude and service. Definitely they create a whole different experience for us. Very grateful !

My husband and I had such an amazing 4 nights stay at Akasa. We were picked up at the airport by Dewa and taken to our villa after making a quick stop at the market for some snacks to hold us over before dinner. We were greeted at the villa by Boni, Ketut and Komang (amazing ladies!) and treated with a delicious coconut drink. Akasa is just a short walk from the main road down a small alley. Don't let the alley walk fool you. Once you open the door to Akasa you enter a beautiful, enchanted setting that is even more beautiful than the pictures. The villa is pretty close to the main street in Ubud, about a 5-10 minute drive depending on traffic or a 20-30 minute casual walk. We walked to the main part of Ubud for dinner one night but you can always have Dewa drive you or get a taxi at the hotel nearby. We enjoyed the walking though. Breakfast at our villa was delicious! We had fresh fruits and pancakes each day but there are other options available. We also had a delicious meal prepared for us by the ladies and it was the best meal of our trip! The villa itself was very clean and relaxing. The pool was nice for a swim on the hot days and we loved relaxing in the hammock or on the couch in the sitting area. Dewa was our driver each day we were at Akasa and also drove us our last day when we were staying in the Balagan area. He was such an amazing driver and tour guide and definitely made our trip more memorable. Dewa took us to several places throughout our favorites being Monkey Forest, Lewak Coffee Plantation, sunrise hike on Mt. Batur (a 2am pickup but well worth it for the stunning views), Tegalalang Rice Terraces, Jatiluwih Rice Terraces and Sekumpul Waterfall (long drive with lots of steep stairs to get there but amazing). I definitely recommend staying here if you are vacationing to the Ubud area. The villa and staff were so incredible and we only hope to venture back one day. Thank you all!
My wife and I stayed at this modern and secluded jungle property as part of a trip to Bali and later Nusa Lembongan. Dewa was very quick to answer all our questions, provide us transport and good tips on what to see in the area. The house staff could not have been nicer. They showed up everyday to make us breakfast, demonstrated how to set out offerings for the daily ceremonies and kept the villa in beautiful condition. Make sure you have the ladies cook a traditional dinner for you. It was one of the best meals we ate on the entire trip. The home is a scooter ride away from downtown Ubud and the shops, the rice paddies, waterfalls, the monkey forest, various temples and many art vendors. The staff can arrange a scooter rental for you as well as in-home massages, which were very professional and fairly priced. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful villa. Better than in the pictures. Super serene. Best host and friendliest staff. Everything was taken care of in advance, all questions were answered quickly. They made sure we were comfortable and taken care of, without being too much in your face. Plus dewa will get you anywhere you need IN TIME. The Akasa was incredible! The open space design is one of a kind. Plenty of living space. The rooms have air conditioning, fans and mosquito nets. Bathrooms are located by kitchen and one for each bedroom. The villa was nice and clean. Our flight arrived at night and got to the villa at about 730ish. We definitely heard strange sounds. The kids were a bit nervous but we all slept well. The clear glass doors is an amazing touch. You can see the jungle backdrop as you open the curtains. The pool was enjoyable (not deep, so dont dive in... I'm guessing not deeper than 1.4 meter). We made it a point to enjoy the pool prior to leaving. We were there for 2 nights and spent another 2 nights in Sanur (hotel with beach access). There is a short cemented path to the Akasa. There are businesses next to the Akasa-looked industrial. But the area is not noisy. We were provided with coconut water upon arrival and met Boni and Ketut. Boni and Ketut: Thank you for taking care of us. Akasa was always in order and clean. The highlight was the food. Pandan pancakes were delicious. We had the opportunity to help make dinner (fish sate, chicken wrapped and steamed in banana leaves, fried chicken and more) with Boni and Ketut. The kids were thrilled to be given the chore of feeding the fishes in the surrounding ponds and helping with the morning offering. This was priceless! Wayan: Such a delight. He greeted us with a sign as upon our arrival at the airport. He waited patiently as we had to get our luggages and exchanged some cash. We arrived late afternoon but Wayan took us to a couple of spots prior to dinner. We stopped at a lovely village temple. Then we went coffee tasting. We enjoyed the orange chocolate, ginseng coffee, lemon tea and of course, Bali coffee. We had to try the Lewak coffee :) Final destination was dinner at Urbana. I highly recommend the fried duck. They had happy hour and the lychee martini is a must. Wayan kept us well entertained with his sense of humor. His laugh is contagious. So many tips about Bali and its culture. Thank you Wayan for an awesome time! Dewa: We couldn't imagine this trip without Dewa's guidance. What a gem! He is so responsive. This reassured me that I would be able to trust Dewa on this trip. He was so easy to get ahold of and is an excellend communicator. We planned a one day trip with Dewa and asked for another day. He is so knowledgeable of the Balinese and Indonesian culture. He offered such great tips. He is also funny and made the trip memorable. We arranged and had him pick us up on our last day (we stayed in Sanur the last two days). Our flight was quite early but he arrived on time and always with a smile. We learned so...
When we walked into the villa, it was like a tropical paradise and it literally took my breath away! Our ferry from the Gili Islands was delayed and the staff waited there for us anyway - much later than we had planned. After a very long and frustrating travel day, they had coconuts waiting (we had requested them prior) and their smiles set us at ease immediately. Seeing the ladies in the morning for breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast was always delicious - best pancakes I had in Bali! Dewa provided transportation whenever we needed it and was very friendly and kind. The only issue I had was for that last day, my shower wasn't heating to hot - however, when I told the staff about it, they were quick to come to my aid and fix it. As my trip came to a close, I was so sad to leave, I decided to extend my stay at Akasa by an extra night. Best money I ever spent. The last day was peaceful and serene and I'm aching to go back soon. Two thumbs up and five stars for this magical place. I will highly recommend to anyone going to Ubud.

Amazing place with the whole space to our selves. Great scenic jungle back drop. One note the location is opposite the puri padma hotel and spa which is a bit further up the road to where we thought it would be. The staff are all very warm and welcoming and could not do enough for us!!!
The setting of the villa is beautiful. Very relaxing and the open design of the living areas ensures you enjoy the surroundings. The staff made our stay exceptional - the food was the best we had in Bali. Dewa looked after us and made sure we got everywhere we wanted to go safely and without hassle. This villa was truly beautiful. My wife and I spent the last portion of our honeymoon here and couldn't have been happier. At first I didn't quite know what to expect walking down the tiny side street leading from the bustling neighborhood but when we arrived, a single elaborate door at the end opened to a different world. You walk down a path leading from the entrance through some tropical vegetation and it opens to this immaculate outdoor villa surrounded by jungle. Everything is open to the environment with the exception of the bedrooms and it's really quite stunning. We had three charming ladies there upon arrival and they offered us fresh coconut. We agreed and they whipped out the machete and started going to town on these things. All the meals they made for us were very delicious. They had a big book of traditional Balinese dishes and they told us to pick anything we wanted out of it. They went to the market and grabbed all the ingredients fresh and all we had to pay for was the supplies. The house manager Dewa catered to every need. He picked us up from the Jimbaran area and drove us all the way to Ubud. He provided some great recommendations on things to do during our visit and stayed in contact via WhatsApp. He set up an in house couples massage for us(probably $16 each for an hour and it was the best massage I've ever had), recommended a traditional Balinese dance performance at the Ubud temple and told us about the monkey forest(only about a 20 min walk). On our second day, Dewa arranged for his brother to take us wherever we wanted to go. He was able to answer any questions we had about Bali and brought us to some really amazing places. We went to the nung nung waterfall as recommended be Dewa, the Tegallalang rice terraces, a coffee plantation that provided free samples of all the coffee and tea made there and he even brought us to his friends local restaurant overlooking a rice terrace where we stuffed our faces with rice pudding. On our last day, the villa staff set us up with a scooter($4 for 24hrs) and we just explored the surrounding area for the whole day before we had to leave for the airport. Dewa and Wayan were very accommodating to our travel arrangements and let us stay at the villa late until we had to go catch our flight home. I really can't express how awesome our time in Ubud was, I would definitely look to stay again whenever I do return to Bali.
Just perfect stay in Ubud and the staff and the driver Dewa are the best. I dont think you will get a better service anywhere at Bali. We loved the outside area, the bedrooms, watching geckos and frogs and listening to monkeys, cats, dogs, chicken, geckos and frogs at night and felt safe in the house. Dewa drove us everywhere, also before and after our stay at Ubud and he is like a part of the family now, just a very good driver, extremely helpfull with eveey need and funny and friendly.

LOVED this villa. MUCH bigger than it looks in the pictures. The gardens and pool are absolutely stunning. Such a nice spot to chill out for a few days. The staff are incredible, make sure you get the green pancakes for breakfast - so delicious. They are pandan pancakes with banana, and I'm still thinking about them. The villa is not actually that far out of Ubud. We ended up walking in every day to grab a coffee or go shopping (best coffee is Seniman Coffee House). We booked a couple of dinners and had Dewa drive us around - he awesome, and super knowledgeable. Easily the best pool I've had in Bali.. it's massive. And lets be honest, it's all about the pool. Will be back.
This villa exceeded our expectations. It's gorgeous, with complete outdoor living, and very large for four people. We thought it looked much better in real life than in the pictures. We loved the beautiful pool area overlooking the jungle. We also enjoyed nights at home thanks to the fantastic living area complete with large dining table and Bose surround sound that was easy to connect to. A fantastic get away. Of course, because of the outdoor living you have to be understanding that you will see some frogs, lizards etc but they are harmless, and there is plenty of mosquito spray available. It's about a 25 minute walk into town, which we did many times, but also easy enough to get a taxi (just refer to the Puri Padma hotel across the road). What really makes it though are the lovely staff. We communicated with Wayan who gave us all of the best instructions and was always available via email. Dewa, the driver and assistant manager, is a real gem, as many of the other reviews mentioned. The other three ladies were also charming and we felt truly spoiled.
We stayed here for 5 days for a trip with the kids. It was our first time staying in Ubud so we wanted something a bit more secluded and spacious. We found what we got with Wayan's. The villa is more or less as what you see in the pictures. I have to commend the staff, especially Dewi the driver who was, out of many trips we have made to bali over the years, the best driver we have had so far. Punctual, knowledgeable, very friendly and accomodating and best of all his english is very good. The other staff were also friendly and accomodating, although we only saw them at breakfast times. the rooms were generally well appointed and spacious. being close to nature do be prepared for lizards, geckos and croaking frogs to keep you company at night. the aircons worked well in both rooms and showers were always hot, albeit pressure could have been a bit better. breakfasts were prepared for us. the banana pancakes were good. However the menu was a bit limited so do get dewi to take you to the nearby well stocked supermarket for bacon, croissants, jam as well as bottled water. the kids loved feeding the fishes which became our morning routine. There are somethings to take note of, as has been pointed out in some other reviews. First the villa is down a small road that isnt accessible to cars, so theres a short walk to it from the main road. Theres a lockable door to the entrance. However, the rest of the villa is pretty open. Whilst generally this seemed like a reasonably quiet and safe residential area, i would have been a little more comfortable to have been able to lock our bedroom doors at night, which we werent able to do. Couple of other housekeeping/ maintenance issues that maybe Wayan might need to look into:- a. cupboard door broke on the first day opening it. as did the bamboo support for the netting. just some small things here and there but perhaps the villa is due for some simple overhaul/ maintenance. a little can go a long way. b. the kitchen area, storage, utensils etc could also probably do with a makeover as its looking a bit old and run down. worn baskets etc. the front door lock was also a bit wonky and needed some fiddling to open and close. c. the wifi was generally ok, better than some villas we had but a good AC router would do wonders for improving coverage across the length of the villa. d. the pool doesnt get a lot of sunshine so it can be a bit chilly for us warm weather types. e. theres no TV or entertainment. which is fine for us as we brought laptops etc so the kids had stuff to watch in the evenings, so just something to take note of. f. need some lighting between the main entrance and the kitchen / rooms. at...
We had an incredible time staying here! Boni, Ketut and Komang were not only friendly, but also very helpful and made us feel truly at home. We would highly recommend the cooking classes, and a trip to the market with Boni. They cooked some of the best food we've ever had! They arranged a scooter for us and Dewa took care of all of our transportation needs as well as being a fantastic tour guide along the way. We will be recommending this Villa to anyone traveling in Ubud.

It was an absolute dream come true staying at Akasa! Everything was seamless, starting with our airport pick up all the way through to our drop off in Uluwatu. Boni, Ketut and Komang were all so helpful and made us delicious breakfast everyday, as well as an amazing traditional dinner. Dewa is not only an amazing resource (we would have been completely lost without him!) but he is so kind and friendly - we all feel blessed to have met him. He will take you anywhere you want to go, suggest restaurants and shopping, explain the traditions and culture, basically anything and everything - all with a smile. The Villa itself is absolutely gorgeous. From the massive open air kitchen/living space to the 2 large bedrooms with beautiful outdoor showers, the pool and amazing koi fish, it's all breath taking. If you have the opportunity to visit Ubud, don't pass up the chance to stay here!
This house exceeded all expectations! Stunning property, extremely clean, and easy to get to town center from. What really made this place special was the staff. Boni and the two other ladies are so incredibly nice, thoughtful, and polite, but also the best chefs in town! We had a dinner at home one night and while I was hesitant because of all the great restaurants in Ubud, it turned out to be our favorite meal. The green pancakes in the morning are such a treat too:) Dewa the driver went above and beyond helping us find handicrafts and woodcarvings at reasonable prices. We had some hard requests for certain things and he always managed to find what we were looking for! His english is really good and we loved talking to him. The staff are around if you need them but the house itself is quiet, private, and beautiful. The pool is the perfect temperature and the little daybed beside it is a pleasant place to relax. The bathrooms are open air and the shower always has plenty of hot water. The beds and sheets are comfortable and made every morning by the staff. Overall the house is everything you could want it to be and more. I wish we would have stayed longer because nothing else will compare. We had so many laughs with Dewa and Boni. We will make sure to see them again when we return to Bali. Thank you all so very very much for making our trip so special!
We stayed at Wayan's villa for 5 nights in May 2017, and had the most amazing time. The road to the villa is a bit shabby, but once you enter the villa main door, you will be in paradise! The villa is huge, with enough space to relax, meditate, or simply lounge by the pool. The living area is absolutely wonderful, and the decorations are breathtaking. The villa is peaceful, and quiet, except for the soothing sounds of nature. It is THE perfect villa for relaxing and de-stressing. The staff is very professional and will come in the morning to clean the villa and prepare breakfast. They also prepared a home-cooked dinner on one evening, and it was a delightful experience. The staff will cook local cuisine, which is more authentic, and hard to find in other restaurants. I highly recommend that you try the home cooked dinner at least once. During our trip, our driver and guide was Dewa, who is the most professional, pleasant and nicest person ever. He made us feel comfortable. My parents who were on this trip had difficulty walking long distances, so Dewa always ensured they were looked after and made sure they were comfortable. To be honest, one of the highlights of our trip was meeting with Dewa and learning more about Balinese culture from him. I strongly encourage that you use his services for your long trips and day-long tours. The villa is very close to the city, but it is quite hidden away from the main road. So, transportation here is a bit tricky. The recommendation from the villa is to only use their driver (Dewa), and I agree, that Dewa is the right person for long trips for a full day/ half day. However, for quick trips to the city to grab a quick dinner/ lunch, it is possible to find the Puri Padma hotel opposite and just hail a quick taxi (or a car). That way, you have the flexibility to move around, and not always rely on the villa driver. However, for long trips, I absolutely recommend Dewa - he is just wonderful. We have been to Bali four times now (3 times in Ubud), and this was the BEST villa we have stayed in - no question. Highly recommended if you're looking to rest, recharge and connect with nature. Wayan, Dewa, Boni and the team were fantastic at looking after us throughout our stay. We felt like nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend that you have lunch at the villa one day as Boni and the team made us some exceptional Balinese food.
Couldn't recommend staying in this villa enough. Myself and 3 friends stayed for 3 nights. Its very clean, beautiful decor and feels very private. The ladies were brilliant cooks (for both breakfast and dinner) and very friendly. It was also great having Dewa who was very knowledgable, spoke really good English and was great fun...not sure what we would have done without him! The communication with Wayan was really easy too...we miss it already!
Myself and three friends had a wonderful 3 night stay. We only wish it was longer! A truly incredible villa with wonderful staff who are more than happy assist with all your needs or leave you to be totally independent. Highly recommended.
Our stay was absolutely amazing, no exaggeration. We were picked up by Dewa (the house driver). He became apart of our family, super friendly, drove us anywhere, went at our own pace, no questions asked, very encouraging, we loved Dewa and we miss him dearly as a driver/friend. As soon as we entered the Airbnb, you literally leave the busyness of Ubud but are so close to it all. You are immersed into the jungle with a fabulous pool and comfy beds with cold blasting air conditioning (as needed). After our pick up, Dewa knew I wanted a coconut and had it arranged upon arrival. We were greeted by three lovely ladies who maintained the home and took care of us. Breakfast everyday was absolutely amazing. I also recommend having them cooking you a dinner... they cook anything you want, Balinese, absolutely amazing. Overall, our stay was amazing. We felt so spoiled but everyone genuinely cared about our stay. We got to feed the fishes in the ponds and at night, you can hear the frogs and crickets... very serene. Would 100% come back. We miss it already :(

We had a fabulous time at this truly beautiful villa. The villa is perfect for people who enjoy outdoor living and feels as though you are living in a peaceful tropical rainforest. The villa is well designed with lots of homely touches. The outdoor spaces and the pool are fabulous. The booking process was quick and easy and Wayan sent us a lot of useful information. Wayan was very accommodating in allowing us to enjoy a late checkout. The staff are so kind and considerate and very discrete. The highlight of our trip was an incredible meal cooked for us by Boni and the staff. I would highly recommend using Dewa as your driver. He is informative, friendly and goes out of his way to assist you with any request you may have. We really enjoyed our day trip with him. We would definitely stay in this stunning villa again.
Amazing place! Feels really private and secluded but around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The staff were super accommodating and helped organising a really special evening for my husbands birthday. Highly recommend using Dewa for all your transport needs, he helped us see so much in our short time and was able to give great suggestions. Highly recommend staying at this magical villa!

We loved this place! It's an incredibly beautiful villa set in jungle and feels miles away from the bustle of Ubud, yet is a few minutes from town by motorbike. The rooms and pool were amazing and the house keepers, cook and driver were fabulous - attentive but also discreet. Wayan is a very responsive host. Highly recommended! (Note that it may not be ideal for families with small children due to a few high walls)
Everything looks like in the pictures. The location is quiet but not to far from the center of Ubud (3 minutes by scooter). The breakfast was great and the traditional dinner was amazing. Dewa was a wonderful guide and I hope to see him again one day.
A quiet, private and spacious appartment with privat pool and large outdoor area covered with a roof. Welcoming and service minded staff that took care of all requests. We had a private driver recommending by the host, I would highly recommend to do the same when visiting Bali, high value for money.
We had such an amazing time at the villa. Not only was it visually stunning but every detail was so well thought out. The beds were comfortable, there was ample space to hangout, and the staff didn't hesitate to meet any request. We had breakfast there everyday which was easy and delicious. We also did onsite massages and a traditional dinner. It was all so easy to set up and just made our time in Ubud extra special. Would definitely go back! The location is just outside of the main Ubud tourist area which was honestly a big plus for us! It was easy to see sights (we just used taxis but renting scooters would be easy too) but then we could have a wonderful quiet villa to go home to.

This house was absolutely magical. The layout is perfect, the decor very chic and everything so well thought out. The staff made us feel so taken care of and Dewan is so kind and flexible. The breakfasts were delicious! And there are so many beautiful details in the house - from the natural fragrance of flowers in the bathrooms to the vegetable garden around the pool to the blossoming lotus flowers next to the koi fish all around us. You are fully in nature, which completely fits with the vibe and philosophy of Ubud. This is a truly special place. We are already dreaming of going back! On our last day we so loved the house that we asked (very last minute) whether we could push back our checkout to 6pm and Wayan and the owners were happy to oblige. That is true hospitality. Thank you!!!!!!
The photos do not do this villa justice. Beautiful rooms, garden and pool. Very peaceful place to stay and only a 5-10 min bike ride to where the action is at. The staff were very professional and helpful. Would definitely recommend this villa and look forward to staying here in the future - thank you for helping to create wonderful memories
Best place we've stayed, hands down. Being fans of both the lap of luxury and impossibly large smiles, we loved the villa - and the staff. Dewa is a fount of local knowledge and a really nice guy, to boot. He brought us to more of the local sights that we could ever hoped to have experienced by ourselves. We're totally facebook friends now. Boni and her crew are sweethearts and make the best food I've ever tasted. I like to think I impressed them with my chopping skills at our cooking class, but I reckon they were giggling behind my back. There are a ton of great books on the shelves - including an advance copy of Rusty Young's Colombiano, which you should definitely pick up - but reading can be tough as we kept getting distracted by the magnificent jungle view and private pool. Also: yes, there are critters. But the finely balanced ecosystem that exists on the property - the mozzies are eaten by the spiders who are eaten by the little geckos who are eaten by the bigger lizards who are actually pretty chill - pretty much ensures that you enjoy your stay unmolested by anything other than your loving partner.
The villa was absolutely beautiful. I felt like I had died and gone to heaven, but after a week, I was ready for some civilization. There is no tv there and unless you rent a scooter you will be totally dependent on the staff, and of course pay extra for a driver to take you places. There are no viable eating options in walking distance of the villa. There are places that deliver, but at some point you will want to leave the villa during your stay. It is about a 10 minute scooter ride to the tourist area. Because it is open concept living, you will need to wear bug spray (provided) at all times. There are frogs in the shower (make sure you turn on the lights at night so as not to step on them), a snake in the garden (harmless), and many mosquitoes and ants so don't leave food out. A really cool feature was the fish pond all around the walkway. The staff left out fish food so my son could feed the fish. Sometimes there were frogs on the lily pads and at night the geckos come out and climb on the kitchen ceiling. We never found any inside our bedrooms, though. The staff was so friendly and willing to do anything we asked. We had the staff cook breakfast, dinner twice, and then we had a cooking class and went to the market to buy the ingredients. It was quite the experience!
We spent our last week of our honeymoon in SE Asia in Ubud, and we wanted to stay somewhere with a more personal and local feel than a hotel, but without compromising on comfort. This was a fantastic choice, Akasa vila is a beautiful place of absolute serenity and recharging with positive energy. Although tucked between other houses, down a narrow alley, in a residential area, it felt like we were in a remote place, in our own sanctuary in the middle of nature. The house is perched on the high bank of a river, with plenty of flora and palm trees, and in the distance you can sport rice fields. Before we arrived, we were worried about noise from a construction site nearby that we read about in previous reviews. But they'd probably finished the construction work, because we heard nothing during the entire stay, only the calming sound of crickets. The house is outside the city centre (which we were grateful for), but a mere 5-7 minute drive from the centre of Ubud. We rented a scooter for the week, which was very convenient. The house itself is charming and cleverly designed, with the open kitchen and living space, to allow you unrestricted views of the beautiful nature around. The bedrooms are enclosed of course, but the glass front walls and doors keep you connected with the landscape. Our bed was large and comfortable, and we appreciated the fan system and reading lights fitted inside the bed net. The place is tastefully decorated all throughout, and Toby has clearly thought about all the details that make a home stay particularly pleasant (like the playlists for the great surround sound system and other things dotted around. I particularly liked and made good use of the Bali cookbook). On top of everything, we had the most amazing staff, Boni, Ketut and Koma. They were always smiley and enjoying taking care of us, and we had many jokes and laughter with them. Boni cooked delicious breakfast every day for us and dinner on request. Her pandan leaf pancakes and her tempeh are a must try! She even took us to a temple for a big religious ceremony one day. We became instantly fond with the three of them. Dewa was very professional, punctual and took us on a day trip outside Ubud. He was also a lot of fun, and we talked and laughed a lot. He were always in touch with him. We had a great communication with Toby, and we think he deserves the superhost badge.
I love the villa, and had a great stay in Ubud. The staffs are extremely helpful! They cook breakfast every day. Kitchen, living room, and music player are wonderful. Will recommend to friends definitely:)

Toby's Akasa villa is glorious. Stunning setting by the river and overlooking rice fields, private as it is nestled by vegetation as well as its own walls, creating a very unique space, with open living spaces and private (and air conditioned) sleeping quarters with amazing en suite bathrooms. Combined with the excellent local team of Dewa (super helpful, overall manager and driver) and delicious daily cooking and rooms cleaning by Boni and Ketut, guests only have to enjoy themselves, relax on site or hop onto a scooter into central Ubud only handful of minutes away. Highly recommended and so desired, a dream come true.
I have used AirBnB domestically and internationally. With each home, there was always something I would appreciate. This was my 3rd trip to Bali, so I thought I’d stay somewhere different and gave Toby’s place a try. As beautiful as Bali is, it is constantly growing. During our day tours, I don’t think one can turn a corner and not see a site for a new hotel or villa, and of course the construction that comes with. It feels awesome that many others were able to find serenity at Toby’s home during their visit to beautiful Bali. Unfortunately, we were not able to find that sense of quiet due to new construction. To add, Toby did not anticipate this construction nor could’ve known the extremity of it either. It just happened to start the day before I arrived. During my muddled stay, I appreciated Toby’s open communication. Please note that Toby lives in the U.S., and Boni, Ketut and Dewa live in Bali. They help manage the property. I never met Dewa as I was told he had the flu the morning I arrived. The reason for the overall positive review despite the disoriented nights and being unable to utilize the physical home for all it had to offer was Boni and Ketut. Honestly, the Balinese people and its culture, truly did its best to make our spirits balanced in an off-balanced environment. From Boni’s mouth-watering cooking to Ketut’s spunky smile while cleaning, this dynamic duo made the trip memorable more than the house itself. They did their best to keep our minds off the unexpected major construction. And Toby, despite his location, graciously coordinated a Sebatu visit for us. For those of you new to Bali, Sebatu is known to the locals with a healing holy spring water temple. Boni, Ketut, and Made (Boni’s husband) took us for a spiritual awakening and prayed we find our long desired serenity from the natural every day chaos of life. What a beautiful afternoon it was! Thank you Boni, Ketut, and Made (Boni’s husband) for making our stay memorable in a way we did not expect. Thank you Toby for allowing us the open communication so we could work through the issues and still have a good time. I can’t wait for all future guests to experience the awe-inspiring tranquility of Bali and perfectly filled tummies after Boni’s cooking at Toby’s villa.
Villa Akasa is a real piece of art ! The house is fantastic and looks even better than on the pictures , Toby is definitely a man of taste . Boni and Ketut's kindness and attention made our stay perfect and we already miss their banana pancake . I was there with my family and we had the best time there ! We totally recommend Villa Akasa and we also plan to come back for a longer stay . We also had the chance to have Dewa's services , which is the best thing that happened to us there . Dewa is the best driver you could ever have in Bali and we know that our stay in Ubud wouldn't have been the same without him . As a conclusion , our stay was perfect from the first minute to the last ! Keep up the good work Toby !
The house is a jungle dream! To be honest, we don't feel the photos quite do the house justice- it's beautiful. Making arrangements with Toby was easy. Dewa, the driver and manager made sure our stay efficient and relaxing taking us out for the day, dropping us to town and helping us find a particular shop we had driven past! There are some wonderful handicraft shops just outside the house. We strolled back from town in 15 mins one night but taxis are readily available. You will need a torch or a light from your phone since the pathways are not great. Boni and Ketut are excellent cooks, the pandan pancakes are a must as well as the spinach (fresh from the garden) and eggs. Let them cook for you one night enjoy some authentic Balinese food whilst making the most of the villa. You can learn a few tips whilst they prepare the food too if you like. The ladies also advised us of a celebration at a local temple where we were able to enjoy a 1.5 hour Balinese opera performance (for free) amongst several hundred locals- we also bumped into them there with their families. The beds were huge and very comfortable with fans and aircon so you can chose your comfort level. There are cotton sheets to use by the pool, if you prefer a beach towel bring your own but my husband is now a convert to lounging this way... There are mosquito but the house has its own spray which I found quite effective. You are in nature so bear in mind there are lizards, frogs and other creatures around the property but we didn't find any in our rooms :) My favourite bit- getting up before everyone else for a lie in the hammock looking over and listening to the beautiful surroundings!
Akasa is a beautiful, tranquil respite from the hustle & bustle of Ubud. I chose this villa as I wanted a bit of space for my 2 children to roam, and it delivered, they were happy hanging out at this jungle pad and playing with Killa the little kitten. The villa is not part of an insipid compound but part of a local neighborhood, behind a big gate. I felt the neighborhood was friendly and industrious. The staff are eager to please & excellent cooks. Toby, the owner was attentive throughout. I recommend employing Dewa, Toby's driver to help plan activities, to get around and as a general source of information to help create a holiday that suits your needs. I would also recommend Bali Buddha home delivery!
This is a beautifully relaxing villa to stay in with caring attentive staff .A great place to chill out and use as a base to visit the endless stuff to see/do in Ubud. The staff cooking is excellent and authentic.
The villa is located next to Ubud and just in the middle of the jungle. It original positioning allows you to dominate by arriving the jungle which is very present and setting back at the same time. The corner for reading, music, lunch and cooking separated from the rooms is a wonderful invitation to the relaxation and to the observation and listening of the nature which surrounds you. It decoration is simple, natural, perfectly integrated into the nature. Nothing is superfluous, everything is essential. The staff is wonderful of kindness and courtesy towards you whether it is to cook for you, bring you to make a tour or a just speak. Bonus and Ketut are remarkable cookers that will bring you through a delicious balinese travel with their dishes prepared with care and heart. Good lessons of kitchen can be taken here. Dewa will bring you to travel through wonderful Ubud and its neighborhood with his enormous smile and its natural good mood. You can also ask to be massed, go to take lessons of Yoga, everything is easy to do. Last notice: do not forget that in Bali, the adventure can be at the street corner ! Our counsel: just book it !
A secluded oasis perfect for unwinding. The staff really does look after you like family. Boni + Ketut were so friendly and cooked us a healthy delicious breakfast every morning. We also arranged to have Dewa (the house manager) to be our driver/guide for few day trips around the island. He was so helpful and offered us an intimate glimpse into Balinese culture and food. The villa can be a bit difficult to find but we soon realized that the hotel across the road is a good landmark (Puri Padma Hotel). The entrance is actually off of an alleyway from the main road - it's unlit in the evening but felt very safe as it was mostly local residential homes. Overall a wonderful stay. We really enjoyed the open living space and feeling fully immersed in the verdant greenery (but don't forget to bring insect repellant!)
This is a beautiful property looking out over a ravine. The rooms are well set up and the open lounge area (with great speakers) is relaxing. The pool area is perfect for lazing or having a private massage. Toby really wants his guests to enjoy their stay in the area, and provides plenty of ideas of places to visit. The ladies, Bonnie and Ketut who manage and clean the property are very helpful and friendly. They will make you a stir fry breakfast from veges out of the garden - yum. You will need a motorbike to get around, its not far to Ubud central but just a little far to walk, but a fun and easy 5min ride. The lane way its located on is run-down (this is Bali), and very quiet at night, however makes the house nice and quiet off the main road.
We had a fantastic time in Ubud. The villa is beautiful and the host incredibly gracious and responsive. He arranged for a driver, Dewa, who was the nicest and most helpful person who helped arrange three days of drives so we could enjoy all of Ubud. The house staff also cooked delicious breakfasts every day. Other than the fact that it's not too walkable to central Ubud downtown (it's a 5 min taxi) and you have to call for a car, our stay couldn't be more pleasant. We just wish we had more time to enjoy the gorgeous house and pool / grounds. Highly recommend!!
Toby's home is an absolutely amazing place. I can't say I've ever stayed at such a magnificent place on airbnb but his Akasa gives me hope. bonk and ketut were wonderful and so was dewa the driver. Best time ever!! also this wasn't mentioned in the ad but there was two adorable kittens as well!! god bless you Toby:-)
Honestly my best treat in Ubud. Toby's place is simply amazing. Not only because of its perfect secluded and privat location by the river and the surrounding jungle and yet so central (minutes) to downtown Ubud. What I really appreciate about this spacious Villa is the combination of a 5 Star Villa, with the spirit and soul of natural Bali at its best. Besides Toby's open friendly way of hosting, the two girls; Ketut and Boni made me feel like the King of Bali, with their hosting skills and on top of that, they cooked for me several times and served local Balinese food like no other restaurants in Ubud. It's clean and high end all over, high quality beds, and the most beautiful semi-open bathrooms... My only real concern about this place,was leaving it in the end. I wish this could be mine!
