Exploring Villa Hidden Jewel, incl. private chef and pool left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.
The virtual preview of Villa Hidden Jewel, incl. private chef and pool was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Karangasem plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.
I found the tour for Villa Hidden Jewel, incl. private chef and pool painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.
Villa oli aivan upea ja jopa parempi kuin kuvauksissa. Muutama korjaus ja arvio olisi 5/5. Uima-allas vaatisi useammin puhdistusta. Vesi oli puhdas vain kerran puhdistuksen jälkeen lomamme puolivälissä. Allaspyyhkeet olisi hyvä vaihtaa joka päivä. Kukko kiekuu naapurissa pitkin yötä, joten korvatulpat ovat paikallaan. Henkilökunta oli fantastinen. He huolehtivat meistä hyvin, tekivät aivan loistavia ruokia ja auttoivat meitä varauksissa ja kuljetuksissa. Kiitos paljon kaikille!
Für einen Escape aus den trubeligen Ecken Balis super schön, wirklich ein Hidden Place mit einer traumhaften Aussicht und wunderschönem Ambiente. auch das Personal vor Ort war so bemüht, nicht aufdringlich und haben sich um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Vor allem haben sie fantastisch gekocht. Leider muss ich dennoch ein paar Abzüge geben, denn vor allem Room 1 hat sehr unangenehm gerochen, sher vermodert und nach Schimmel, so dass darin kaum jemand schlafen konnte. In den anderen Räumen war es zwar besser, aber dennoch nicht ganz gut. Außerdem war es auch nicht 100% sauber, überall waren bspw noch Spinnennetze zu finden und auch der Pool war sehr trüb und lud nicht zum Baden ein. Es ist wirklich Jammern auf hohem Niveau, denn insgesamt haben wir uns trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt, aber man hätte eben noch die ein oder andere Sache besser machen können.
Het verblijf is precies zoals op de foto’s en zeer comfortabel. Vanuit het verblijf is het makkelijk om Oost-Bali te verkennen.

The area is beautiful, place is as pictured! Selly was very responsive and a wonderful host! I needed a hairdryer but was told there isnt one then sely was able to find one for me! We stayed for only a night and it rained alot so there was TONS of bugs and mosquitoes. The mosquito net in the room was very handy. Its a bit far and beside a farm i think, hence why so many bugs. Overall good stay

The villa is in paradise and is one of the most picturesque places I've been. The staff were amazing and really did everything and anything we could've wished for. The meals were excellent, both Western and Indo. Only thing to be aware of is a battery of very vocal roosters and a local karaoke outfit that like to go until after 10pm
Very nice stay. Sely, the host was an absolute treasure. She cooked, cleaned and fulfilled a lot of requests for our group. She makes Hidden Jewel a special place. Apart from noisy neighbors the experience was lovely. If you’re looking for something pretty remote, this is a great place. Ketut our driver was equally amazing and took us to a number of places locally and far afield. The staff here go above and beyond to make you’re stay memorable.
La villa est très agréable si vous aimez être loin de la civilisation. Les plages alentours sont sympas. Sely qui s’occupe de la villa est très sympathique et a répondu à nos demandes rapidement. Le point négatif se sont les fermiers qui travaillent en face de la villa dans les rizières qui ont des techniques très brouillantes pour faire fuir les oiseaux, le réveil est assuré à partir de 6 heures du matin. Je pense que cela dépend des périodes de récoltes.

We stayed as a group of 6 people for 4 days at Villa Hidden Jewel. This is a quieter, more peaceful rural part of Bali, which we really enjoyed. Communication at all times was excellent. The Villa is really beautiful and just as pictured. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We ate in the Villa each night and the food was fresh, healthy and delicious. Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Hidden Jewel and cannot recommend it enough. The location is beautifully peaceful. The pool is stunning, and we spent so much time relaxing around it - the speaker was a nice touch! One of the absolute highlights of our trip was the incredible staff—they are so attentive and kind. Having breakfast (and our other meals) freshly cooked for us at the villa made our stay completely stress-free and felt like a true luxury. We also treated ourselves to an in-house massage, which was an absolute dream! It was the perfect way to unwind.
Villa Hidden Jewel è un vero angolo di paradiso. Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in una villa immersa nella natura. La posizione è ottima per visitare i dintorni e raggiungere facilmente le spiagge e i luoghi da visitare. Il vero valore aggiunto, però, è lo staff: persone estremamente gentili, disponibili e sempre attente a ogni esigenza. Ci hanno fatto sentire accolti fin dal primo giorno con la loro cordialità e professionalità, contribuendo a rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Grazie Aku e Eka! Lovely short stay, beautiful villa and felt big which is what we needed. Ayu is a great chef and the staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Wat kunnen we zeggen. Wat een geweldige villa, de mooiste die we in 14 jaar hebben ervaren. Daarna waren Ayu en Eka geweldig. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, genoten van het uitzicht en het zwembad en echt tot rust gekomen. We komen hier graag met onze kinderen (dochter van 4 en zoon 7 maanden) terug en bevelen deze villa echt iedereen aan voor een geweldige ervaring!
This home was so beautiful and well maintained! My friends and I had an amazing time from the responsive communication prior to the trip, to the amazing service provided by Ayu and team and the driver.
Ayu and Ecka have been absolutely amazing and they made us lots of yummy, authentic Bali dishes. Absolutely love the place. Definitely will come back again if we visit Bali again. Bart is a wonderful host and I wish him all the best. If you want authentic Bali experience, this is the place to be. Its also very close to Amed and lots of other awesome places
Had a pleasant stay here with my friends. Villa is clean and quiet location. Host Ayu is outstanding! She is a great cook as well!! 🙂🙂.
Had a fabulous stay. Excellent staff and home made food. Views over the rice paddies and close to the beaches for fun days out. The perfect get away!
Bart is echt een fantastische host. De communicatie was snel, duidelijk en vooral heel vriendelijk. We kregen op voorhand al een PDF met alle activiteiten en de menukaart. Hij denkt met je mee, geeft tips waar nodig en zorgt dat alles al geregeld is voordat je aankomt. We hebben een snorkeltrip naar Amed gedaan, een van de highlights van onze reis. We kijken met veel plezier terug op onze tijd hier en zouden zonder twijfel terugkomen. Dank je wel Bart, voor de gastvrijheid en de fijne zorgen!
If I knew about such a wonderful area, I would come earlier. It was my 7th time in Bali, but first in this area, and I would say, that it’s a true Bali: peaceful, green, beautiful, tranquil. The villa is amazing! Open spaces are beautiful, the view is breathtaking! Rooms are comfortable! The team is great, we had breakfast, lunches and dinners, everything was so tasty! You just pay for groceries and get your great meal at home. When you wake up, you listen birds… no noise, no rush. Highly recommended for families and small groups.
Wat een fan-tas-tisch verblijf. We verbleven hier met drie gezinnen (6 volwassenen en 4 kinderen) en echt aan alles was gedacht. We hadden van te voren gevraagd om een zwembadhek, kinderstoelen en kinderbedjes, en alles stond direct klaar bij aankomst. We werden ontvangen door twee hele vriendelijke dames, die het verblijf de rest van de week echt tot een succes hebben gemaakt. Iedere dag gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt en het diner, wat een luxe en wat een gemak. Ook werd alles iedere dag aangeveegd en werden er boodschappen gedaan voor ons. Het uitzicht vanuit het zwembad / tuin is adembenemend. Verder van alles kunnen ondernemen mbv taxi’s, maar ook aan huis zijn de services top (manicure, pedicure, massage; alles was voor een hele leuke prijs beschikbaar). Laatste avond nog verrast met een traditioneel Balinees feestmaal, heerlijk gegeten. Geen enkele twijfel om dit verblijf aan te raden!

Sometimes words just don’t paint the picture, in ways that convey, the true happiness of the experience. This is one of those times. The serenity of the surroundings and villa are sublime. The open concept of the living, dining, and kitchen areas really allows one to connect to nature. The staff and service is top notch. They are all so friendly, welcoming, and warm. Ayu is magic and our driver Ari is a genuinely great man. Each of the enhanced our stay beyond our hopes. Sunrises were magnificent and dips in the pool were refreshing. There’s many places to explore, including snorkeling in Amed, meandering through a nearby water temple, along with Virgin Beach, just to name a few. Bart’s villa was like a beautiful dream come true.

We had a wonderful stay at Bart’s place. The staff was always helpful and cooked very well. We had breakfast and dinner everyday at the villa. The area is very rural, quiet, perfect for family time away from tourist . The beautiful virgin beach nearby is a true jewel! A special mention for Ayu and Putu, the two beautiful ladies who took very good care of us. 🥰

Cette villa est une pépite au millieu des rizières. Le oersonnel est formidable et les repas sont divins. J'ai adoré cette endroit L'hôtel organise des activités très sympa, visite d'école, restaurant de jazz, visite de la chocolaterie.. Allez y les yeux fermés vraiment
This was the true Bali experience for my family. Such an oasis out in the rice fields which makes a great base for exploring around East Bali. The lovely team cooked breakfast for us each morning and were always available to help plan day trips and cooked lunch and dinner on request. Virgin beach was a 30 min drive away and was an awesome beach to spend the day on the sun beds while the kids played in the sea. Highly recommend
I can’t fully put into words how special this place is to me and my family. We’ve made the most wonderful memories here, and it’s all thanks to Bart, Ayu, Putu, Edek, and the rest of the amazing team. If you're looking for a true oasis in Bali, this is it — tucked away in the jungle, peaceful and quiet, yet still within reach of everything thanks to Ari and the other wonderful drivers. We didn’t have to think about a thing. The ladies prepared the most incredible food for us every morning and evening (and even lunch when we needed it). They noticed our interest in the local dishes and kindly taught us how to cook some of them, which was such a special experience. A huge thank you to Ayu for helping us organize day trips and activities — she made everything so easy and also the contact with Bart prior our arrival made everything so easy. This is without a doubt one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. It will be hard to beat.

Bart's place was amazingly beautiful. Adu and all the other staff that worked at the resident were very amazing, flexible, and helpful. This was one of the best AirBnB stays I have ever experienced. 100 out of 10 would absolute recommend!!
What a great way to start a holiday in Bali. The views from the house over the rice fields to the sea in the far distance were captivating and the team at the property incredibly welcoming and helpful in arranging the necessary transport for day trips and trips to town, massages and meals. Really enjoyed being able to cool down in the pool and plenty of outdoors and undercover space to relax in. With two of the bedrooms having bunk bed rooms connected to them also positive if you are travelling with younger children. Great place and would stay again.
Beautiful place in a super quiet area with stunning rice fields views. The house and space are basic, yet well equipped with all the essentials.
The villa is amazing and the team make the stay there incredible. Kadek and Ika were so friendly and helpful. Every meal was amazing and they were able accommodate all of our requests. They helped arrange drivers to get us around and even were able to get some laundry done for us on short notice. The location is remote and there isn’t a lot of places within easy walking distance but they can arrange drivers when needed. It can get a bit noisy at night between the frogs and bugs and the call to prayer at the mosque so earplugs might be helpful if you’re a light sleeper. The owner Bart was great a communication and the price was very reasonable for what you get. 10/10 would recommend and will be back again.
An amazing Villa, hidden jewel indeed. Proactive information about the area, activities etc from Bart the host. The staff on site Kadek and Eka were so lovely, and there cooking was amazing. Would 100% go back for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
The place was simply stunning even better than the photos but what made the trip so memorable was the fantastic service provided by the team - especially Kadek who made sure at all times we had everything we needed …what a holiday !! We can’t wait to come back .. Thank you Bart & the team

Lovely villa, with incredible attentive staff. amazing meals prepared by Kadek and so very accommodating of our requests. The villa beds are comfortable and rooms were cleaned daily. Would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a more peaceful bali experience away from the hustle and bustle of the normal holiday hotspots.

This is a perfect getaway. The villa is beautiful and everything is taken care of. There is no pressure to fit in a ton of activity and we enjoyed our stay with massages and yoga. The yoga instructor here was better than anything I've ever attended as he really broke down the tenets of yoga and focused on mindset. The massages and meals were great and i really felt like everything was taken care of

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Villa. It’s located in a beautiful part in the east of Bali with lovely views and a nice outdoor pool and living area. The staff at the Villa are amazing. Very friendly, Balinese hospitality, knowledgeable and the food was excellent. We had a very relaxing stay.

This villa was everything we thought it would be and more! My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and we couldn’t have had a more perfect experience! The staff were the nicest people and the food was absolutely better than anything we expected! Bart was extremely helpful and responded to all of our questions quickly before we even flew out so that we knew what adapters to bring, etc. Such a peaceful place that is perfect for a couple or for a group of people! We could not recommend this villa enough!!!
Wij hebben in Bali vier verschillende accommodaties geboekt, maar deze villa spande de kroon. Wat een ontzettend mooie plek en wat een mooie villa. Het contact verliep via de eigenaar van de villa, Bart. Reageert snel en alles is mogelijk. Wij hadden bijvoorbeeld een kinderbedje en kinderstoel nodig. Ook een autostoeltje was geregeld voor ons zoontje van 16 maanden. Nog een speciaal bedankje aan Kadek en de rest van het personeel dat ons heeft verwelkomt en bediend. Wat een aardige mensen!! We hebben heerlijk gegeten en ze hebben ons een aantal activiteiten aangeraden. En dat allemaal met een glimlach op hun gezicht. Het was lang niet zo speciaal geweest als jullie er niet waren geweest. Nogmaals dank en hopelijk tot een volgende week. Heel veel liefs van Lars, Renée en Noah!

Geweldig verblijf gehad in deze prachtige villa in mooie en rustige omgeving, waar toch meer dan genoeg te doen is. Kadek en zijn team maakten iedere dag heerlijke maaltijden voor ons en ze hielpen met het plannen van activiteiten. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam! De villa is prachtig; je komt er helemaal tot rust en kan echt genieten van je vakantie! Zeker een plek om ooit terug te komen.
What an incredible stay we had at Bart’s place. Words cannot express how beautiful the place is. Each room had its own restroom, which was much needed for a party of seven. Surrounded by nature, it is the perfect getaway from the much busier parts of Bali. The highlight of Bart’s place is the pool that overlooks the lush cornfield. Sometimes you can see locals working in the field. We enjoyed our stay very much and wish we had stayed longer than just two nights. Bart was very responsive whenever we had any questions, and the two helpers who were present were extremely helpful. We had a delicious dinner made for us one night and a floating breakfast in the pool the morning before we checked out. We loved every moment of our experience there.

We stayed at the villa for nearly a month. We felt at home straight away! The place is absolutely beautiful, the swimming pool was amazing and the highlight was the staff. We didn’t have to worry about anything and the hardest part of the day was to choose the menu for the next day 🤣 We had the chance to be part of a couple of Hindu ceremonies thanks to our lovely chef/butler Kadek. A big praise for him for always being helpful and smiling! I’d highly recommend that villa to anyone who wants to completely relax and switch off from the world. It was the best trip of my life and I’m absolutely certain that the villa has a big part in it! Thank you, Kadek, Eka, Ni Luh & Bart!
Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub in einer phantastischen Unterkunft verlebt. Der Service ist sehr herzlich und einmalig. Wir kommen wieder!
In een woord; Geweldig! Wanneer je thuis vanaf je bank dit huis boekt, realiseer je je niet hoe geweldig de ervaring daadwerkelijk gaat zijn. Wat een fantastisch verblijf hebben wij gehad. De villa is ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien en schoon. Het heeft een heerlijk zwembad en het uitzicht is adembenemend. En dan is er nog de staff (host/“butler”, tuinman, beveiliger) wat een lieve mensen staan er voor je klaar! Er wordt heerlijk gekookt (ruime keuze uit maaltijden), helpen je met vragen (scooterhuur, taxi etc) en houden het huis en tuin opgeruimd. Het oosten van Bali is prachtig en nog “ongerept”. Je krijgt een kijkje in het echte Balinese bestaan hier. Vanaf de scooter wordt je toegezwaaid door de locals. Dus als je niet bang ben van wat beestjes (zitten alleen in de open woonkamer) en wil je wat zien van het echte Balinese bestaan? Dan heb je in dit huis echt vakantie….!!!

Absolutely amazing! Bart is a very responsive host and ensured our stay was perfect from start to finish. We loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful villa. The staff were wonderful and cooked us delicious meals everyday. The highlight of our stay was the ceremony organised by Sely to renew our wedding vows. Great Villa in a beautiful and peaceful area away from the busy hustle and bustle. Lovely beaches, palaces and general tourist attractions close by and easy transport options. Food was great even if the local market didn’t have what was on the menu but the staff always made a plan and you weren’t left disappointed. The Mahi Mahi dish on the first night was quite the starter. Would definitely stay again and recommend for anyone.
Such an amazing villa, with incredible amenities and stunning views across the rice fields. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay in Bali. The pictures of the property are accurate in every sense, from the amazing pool to the gorgeous furnishings and the well maintained grounds. It exceeded our expectations. Bart the owner, and the villa support staff of Sely, Wayan, Eka and Anik, were incredibly responsive and helpful. The option of an in-house cook was a welcome and appreciated feature. I cannot fault the property. It is undeniably the best AirBnB property I have ever stayed in. There is no question we will be back. We miss it already. Thank you Bart, Sely and the team. It really is a "hidden jewel".
We had a great stay at the villa! The staff was amazing and always made sure we had everything we needed. They cooked most of our meals and they were delicious. Daily house keeping. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The location is very remote but so so gorgeous. The sunsets every evening were incredible. Lots of little local hidden gems like the first Bali chocolate factory and the water temple. Virgin beach was 20 min away and absolutely stunning. About 45 min away from Amed beach for snorkeling. Biggest downside was finding drivers for cars - was not easy to find them on Grab. Would be better if you can solely travel on a scooter or have a designated driver the whole trip. Overall an amazing stay if you’re looking to explore this side of Bali!
C'est en effet un vrai bijou ce lieu magnifique ! Equipe aux petits soins, plats délicieux et bonne communication. C'était une belle pause détente après avoir escaladé le Mont Batur ! Une nuit ne suffisait pas hélas et on sera bien obligé de revenir :) Un grand merci pour tout, ça nous a inspiré et ressourcé !
Maison très agréable à vivre dans son décor , dans un environnement apaisant et exotique face à ces rizières. Le personnel a été très prévenant et gentil. Cette location a rempli toutes nos attentes . Bart a été un très bon hôte, attentif et réactif à nos demandes .
An amazing villa with exceptional staff. Sely made sure that we were well looked after and that all of our needs were met. She couldn't have been more accommodating helping us with every request, from arranging for private transportation, to booking in-villa massages and yoga instructors, to ensuring that we had exactly what we wanted for all of our meals. The villa was tastefully appointed and very relaxing... the perfect location to explore the eastern side of Bali. We will recommend this villa to all of our friends who plan to visit this beautiful part of the island.

From the moment you arrive and step through the front door, you are transformed into another world. The view is breathtaking and the villa is absolutely stunning, just like in the photos. What makes this place unique however is Sely. She was a fantastic host and chef! The choice of food and the quality blew us away. We felt like we were eating out at a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Although remote, the Villa is not far from many local attractions that can be easily accessed by car. The communication with Bart was fantastic. He was always responsive and ready to answer any questions. It really was the holiday of a lifetime. If we ever return to Bail, we would love to stay at Hidden Jewel again. Thank you, Bart and Sely.
Great place, location and beautifully constructed space. The views are pristine and the decor has been done in a rather tasteful manner. Sely (the butler) was responsive to our needs and always available to help out with things. All in All lives up to its name of being a "Hidden Jewel". The shower area deserves a special mention. .
We really enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful area in between the rice fields and you have a lot of space. The continuous help of Sely made everything really personal and she was so sweet! Thanks a lot Sely & everybody who else who hosted us.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon trip, and our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff and the services were top tier. The driver was always available to take you wherever, and location was perfect for great attractions! The ladies that help clean/butler the villa were so kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed ourselves at this villa! Only thing I’ll mention, the rice fields had sheets/clothing handing which obstructed view a little from being “perfect”; still so beautiful and not anything the owners can control. Rooms were very clean and pool was so warm!! Worth the booking, you won’t regret staying here!!

Жаль, что погода немного поменяла нам планы. Так как пришлось уехать раньше. Так как все наши задуманные экскурсии по востоку острова в дождь были не осуществимы.
Excellent for a quiet getaway
What a whole different experience of Bali, Bali in its rawest form. We loved our morning walks through the villages and meeting the locals, especially the school kids. Lots of attractions or just do nothing and enjoy Sely’s cooking. Transport was the only challenge as we had a group of all ages and 8, if you can manage scooters then you are good to go and explore what East Bali offers. The Villa is beautiful
Met de familie verbleven we 10 dagen in dit paradijs op Bali. De villa is geweldig en aan alles is gedacht. Ieder gezin/koppel heeft zijn eigen plekje met eigen badkamer en kleedruimte. Er zijn overkapte binnenruimtes die perfect werken met het weer en een heerlijk zwembad om in te plonzen met uitzicht op de rijstvelden. We werden ik de watten gelegd door Selly en Eka en al onze verzoekjes werden direct geregeld. Zo hebben we genoten van alle massages aan huis maar stond ook de chauffeur binnen een paar minuten klaar om ons naar een van de prachtige plekjes op Bali te brengen. We kunnen een verblijf in the hidden Jewel allemaal maar aanrader! Nogmaals hartstikke bedankt dat we hier gebruik van mochten maken.
Meine Familie und ich haben diesen wundervollen, magischen Ort sehr genossen und hätten uns keinen besseren Anfang für unseren Bali Urlaub vorstellen können. Sely und Ako haben sich hervorragend um uns gekümmert - vom leckeren Essen über einen großartigen rundum Service bis hin zu tollen Tips für die wunderschöne Umgebung. Ich kann diese traumhafte Villa nur wärmstens empfehlen und auch der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber Bart lies keine Wünsche offen.

Dit was de eerste keer dat we in Bali op vakantie waren. Tijdens deze twee weken hadden we in totaal vijf villa's geboekt waaronder deze "Villa Hidden Jewel". De naam beschrijft het al, het was echt een verborgen juweeltje. Van alle vijf villa's was dit toch écht de mooiste. Ruim opgezet, prachtig ingericht, plek voor 10 personen, terwijl wij maar met 2 personen waren en een ontzettend aardige en spontane hostess Sely die tevens onze prive-kok / huishoudster was. Je kon bij haar aangeven wat je wilde eten. Zij haalde vervolgens alle boodschapjes en maakte het ter plekke voor je. Behalve dat er aan ruimte geen gebrek was lag er ook nog een prachtig groot privé-zwembad met mooie ligbedden en parasols waarbij je mooi over de rijstvelden heen kon kijken. Kortom, als je naar Bali gaat, boek vooral deze villa, want één ding is zeker. Hier ga je geen spijt van krijgen. Wij gaan zeker nog een keer terugkomen. Een aanrader voor iedereen.
A lovely corner of the world. Beautiful rice terrace right off the pool, large bedrooms with amazing outdoor showers, plenty of room for families. The host and staff were very responsive to all of our requests, and the price is a great value.
The villa is stunning with stunning views and a beautiful pool. Bike rental is easy, quick and affordable. We'll definitely recommend to friends looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to relax in Bali.
La villa è esattamente come sembra. é in una posizione un po' appartata quindi è perfetta per godersela, rilassandosi o facendo party. La chef è a disposizione per ogni richiesta culinaria. Grazie Bart!

We loved our stay at the Hidden Jewel and would totally recommend it. The housekeeper Sely is a star. She cooked for us 3 times a day and it was such a treat and not expensive - you just pay for groceries at local prices. We got bikes and wizzed around the area and Sely will easily organise a car if you want to go for any day trip. If you're hesitating , don't - just book it !!
Love this area, close to pantai Jasri (black sand beach) and personal fav Virgin Beach. Loved waking up to the amazing view and super welcome thanks to Anik. We could bring our Bali dogs which is always great and you can walk from the villa for a while as well passed rice paddies across the villa. Can highly recommend to stay here including yummy dinner cooked by Anik!
Wonderful villa in amazing Bali authentic setting close to a village with temple ceremonies and incredible nature views. Great amenities like coffee machine , good quality bed duvets. We loved the design of the villa , great mix of traditional alang-alang roof and modern interior . All we wanted for our Nyepi stay.
This is our 2nd time staying in the villa and still one of the best place to stay in Bali, Great view , lovely atmosphere and friendly staff ! We will regularly come back to stay in the villa whenever we visit Karang Asem :)
We had an amazing stay at this place. The villa is nice, clean and spacious. But on top of everything, we loved the service that Selly gave. It was excellent. She’s nice and professional. I never had an experience of having butler that shopped, cooked and cleaned for us. It was excellent.
Beautiful artsy place with great location. Spacious outdoor space. Very private yet we were always be able to contact staff whenever we need some help. Sely and staff were very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely come back.

An absolute gem! Everything about this place makes it a perfect relaxation space where you can take a break. We live in Bali and this felt like a vacation from vacation. Sely is very attentive and cooks for you so you don't have much to think about except plan your day trips. The location is in front of a rice field with coconut trees and a small forest on the hill. The place is luxurious yet simple. We have a 3 month old and he loved it. Didn't make a peep while there. The weather is great too at this time of year. Sunny but cool in the shade. Can't say enough good things about this place. We are planning our next trip back. :)

This was our THIRD STAY at this fabulous property. Once you find a hidden gem, or in this case, Hidden Jewel, you stick with it! We enjoyed the villa for a full week this time and were lucky to have friends join us. The STARS of this property remain the STAFF - particularly Selly - who will go to any length to make sure every day is magical. Her cooking is divine and she is a joy to have on hand-and equally makes herself scarce when her 'work' is done to allow you to enjoy the property-but she is always available. This time of year the villa is even more comfortable, with great days and cool nights, with views that take your breath away, and secluded enough to make you feel like you are really away from it all. Take some long walks along the village roads that surround the villa and get lost in the culture that remains in this part of Bali. If you have the chance for a getaway at Villa Hidden Jewel - TAKE IT - you won't be disappointed!

THIRD time - and will be back again!
The fact I came back here shortly after my last stay says it all. This place ist just amazing. The staff is superfriendly and helpful. They even cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for you and buy all the ingredients fresh at the local market. The place itself is superclean and very quiet. We wanted to get away from the busy life and traffic in Canggu and had 3 amazing days in the villa full of relaxation. I will be back for sure. The place is tricky to find but the staff helps you via Whatsapp so it's not an issue :)

great place to stay and enjoy private butler
We spent our weekend at Villa Hidden Jewel and it's a very good decision. The villa is new and nothing else can beat the serene view of the rice paddies and our private butler, Sely, who took a good care of us. Everything was smooth, from checking in to planning our meals at the villa. The location is a little bit remote but it's amazing if you want some peace and quiet. A little bit of note from us - there is no TV at the villa and you might hear the mosque in the early morning. But other than that, we had an amazing experience staying here. Will definitely be back when we plan to visit the area again.
We really loved the villa. It has a lot of space and really nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the service of a private chef. Selly did groceries and cooked delicious meals for us...we enjoyed it so much, you feel like a royal :-) The view on the rice paddies is really good and you can even sea the ocean. The area is peaceful and close to Virgin Beach (10 min by scooter) and Taman Ujung Waterpalace (5 min by scooter). We can recommend this place to all of you!
If you look for a place in East Bali….this is a retreat! Stunning villa that has everything you will need…great service, rice paddy view, private pool, good beds, fast internet and a private chef that cooks delicious meals! By far the nicest Airbnb of any we stayed in before. Although we were only with 2 people in this big 5-bedroom villa the place still felt very cozy and comfortable. When you are here… check out Taman Ujung Water Palace around the corner..it is so beautiful! We are already planning our next trip back here..we loved it. Thanks for the service and tips!
We absolutely loved our stay at Bart's villa! The staff is wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay felt like home. The villa was exactly what we were looking for and had everything we needed. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend staying at Bart's villa if you get the chance. You won’t regret it!

We can’t say enough good things about the villa and our stay. It is exactly as presented and is a quiet, relaxed oasis of simple yet sophisticated luxury. The setting is fantastic - rice fields and ocean views to one side and mountains to the other. The staff are first rate—from good communication to help us plan and arrive through to the daily servicing and check out. Staff lead Ibu Selly is kind and gracious; efficiently providing excellent service and attuned to guests needs—taking some time for a chat to get to know one another or quietly wrapping up and stepping out to give you your privacy. She is an excellent cook—living in Bali we only sampled Indonesian and Balinese dishes, but whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, we were never disappointed and always sated. Hidden Jewel was much more villa than we needed as a couple, but why not. Easy to see how a group of friends or family would be right at home here. Overall a beautiful villa, endearing staff, outstanding service and incredible value. Go!
Amazing hidden place. The road to the villa is a little challenging (especially after rain) but the villa easily makes up for that. Check in was very easy and communication with host was very quick. The staff was very welcoming and super lovely. They organized dinner from restaurants of our choice and did some grocery shopping as well so we don't have to drive back to the main road. The rooms were superclean and beds comfortable. Despite it being open space, the Villa was perfectly clean - not one leaf was out of place. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you :)
We stayed for two nights and had a lovely relaxing stay! Sely the house manager was very helpful in helping us with meals and ensuring we are comfortable during our stay. We really appreciated her diligence! Some great walks around the villa as well if you want to stretch your feet and the pool was delicious!
