Exploring VILLA KUBU AGUNG #4 - NICE & COZY 1 BR APARTMENT left me utterly unimpressed. This presentation felt like a flashy waste of time: all clicking and spinning, with none of the straightforward clarity I wanted. Zero stars for this browsing experience.

The virtual preview of VILLA KUBU AGUNG #4 - NICE & COZY 1 BR APARTMENT was maddening. I wanted a simple overview for my Tampaksiring plans, but the whole experience felt overcomplicated and exhausting. I would rather close the tab than wrestle with another scene.

I found the tour for VILLA KUBU AGUNG #4 - NICE & COZY 1 BR APARTMENT painfully tedious. The presentation tries far too hard to impress, and for me it falls completely flat. More spectacle than useful browsing; absolutely not my idea of a helpful preview.

Rai and her friendly doggies welcomed me very kindly when I arrived late in the evening. She even made me an omelette although the restaurant was already closed. All other meals were delicious too! The rooms are comfy, clean and spacious. The only minus is the main road which was noisy as my room was directly next to it. Based on the description I would have hoped for a more quiet place. The rooms located next to the pool inside might be a bit better? Apart from that I can recommend Rai‘s place.

Rai was so very sweet and accommodating. I had to make modifications to my stay and she was very kind to do that for me last minute. The only downside to this place is that it feels very remote and far from the action. It’s great if that what you’re looking for but can feel quite lonely if you are alone like I was. I found myself getting hour long rides just to get to places that had more going on. As for the space it was beautiful but the living room sliding doors didn’t shut completely so a couple friendly creatures such as lizards were able to make it in especially at night if the lights were on. Nonetheless, the space is clean, beautiful and tranquil and Rai and the ground keeper were so sweet. It all depends on your preferences and what you want to do in Bali— it is close to all of the main attractions in Ubud so that was a plus!

Amazing. 1000 stars for them. They provided amazing service. It felt like the perfect welcome into Bali for me and my husband. The street is lively enough to experience the culture. The restaurant has AWESOME food with many options. We loved getting fresh coconut juice, iced cafe latte, veggies curry, mie goreng, terong balado, brownie with ice cream, banana cake, and much more! They provide the cleaning service for your room everyday which is very great. There’s no washer to do your own laundry but there is a place you can walk to 6 min away that will do your laundry for a fair price and great service as well. At least if you choose to walk to the laundry place, it’s a great opportunity to look around the area. It’s very safe. It’s also about 15 min driving distance from the Ubud center- a great place to look around and shop. Thank you Rai, Aiyu, Yoga, and Dalma 😉 for the excellent service and kindness.

Séjour incroyable! Raï est au petit soin avec ses visiteurs ainsi que l’ensemble du personnel. Un restaurant se trouve dans le complexe avec un nombreux choix de plat préparé par Raï autant traditionnels que typique et tout est extrêmement bon et frais on avait envie de tout goûter! Avec des prix défiant toute concurrence. Elle mets à disposition des scooters en location pour 100000 roupies la journée c’est un réel plus. Chambre comme sur les photos et d’une propreté impeccable! Eau à disposition dans la chambre La piscine également avec transat très calme. Le logement se situe proche d’Ubud mais reste excentré c’est très calme. Nous sommes à 15 minutes d’activité comme Tirta empul, sortie Bouet (incroyable), forêt des singes … Tout est à proximité Je recommande à 1000% ce logement , dommage qu’il était louer pour la suite sinon nous aurions passé notre séjour ici uniquement. Il y a 2 chiens qui sont très gentils et acceptent volontiers les caresses. Un grand merci a Rai et son équipe

Es war wirklich traumhaft dort! Wir haben uns von erster Sekunde an wie Zuhause gefühlt. Die Damen sind wirklich sehr zuvorkommend und lesen dir jeden Wunsch von den Augen! Das Essen direkt vor Ort hat immer super geschmeckt. Die 2 Hunde bellen zwar manchmal aber wenn man ihnen näher kommt, sind das die liebsten Hunde und immer für eine Kuscheleinheit da. Dadurch da es etwas weiter von der Innenstadt von Ubud ist, ist es super ruhig. Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag frisch gemacht und war immer perfekt, wenn man von einem langen Tag wieder zurück kam. Wenn wir wieder in Bali sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall zurück!

I stayed in Ubud for 1 week and I am soooo grateful to have stayed at Rai’s place. It is a quiet, peaceful and culturally immersive escape yet so convenient to get to Ubud centre. I felt just at home with Rai, Ayu and Koma and especially Rai’s two dogs Bali and Dalma. I have bonded so much with all of them and will miss the place so much. You don’t need to eat elsewhere because Rai’s cooking is the absolute best! She makes the best Nasi Goreng and brownies! Soooo affordable aswell. As a female solo traveler, I highly recommend this Villa. The room was soo clean, they cleaned it everyday when you are out and about and not once did I feel worried for my belongings. You are truly missing out if you don’t stay here and settle for another basic Ubud villa. Rai was very flexible with checking in abit earlier and also allowing me to keep my bags safe for when I left. I will definitely be back! Lots of love xx

Communication with auntie was really smooth. Aunties food in the restaurant was the best! Staff was very helpfull and friendly. We really loved our stay.

Het was echt een heerlijke plekje. Dichtbij het centrum, maar ook lekker in de rust. Mega fijn huisje op de begane grond met een kleine meid van 1,5 jaar. Lekker veel beweegruimte. Alle haben sich super lieb gekümmert, waren hilfsbereit und sehr flexibel. Es gab sogar einen freien Wasserspender im Apartement und es ist wirklich super viel Platz ! 🥰

We had such a great time at Kubu Agung villa! This is our second time staying here and it’s the warm hospitality of Agung and the beautiful cozy villa that made us come back (and of course Agung cooking - the food at the restaurant is something else!) The villa is absolutely beautiful, even more than the pictures show. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even a longer one, it’s cleaned daily by the team, the location is quiet but still close to Ubud. The team is so nice and welcoming, they are always nice, smiling and ready to help. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay near Ubud, you will not regret. We will come again some time in the future, thank you for taking such a good care of us!

The accommodation is a little worn out but that was not a problem. Otherwise all was good, especially enjoyed the spacious balcony. Host also provides delicious meals all day long, tuna was particularly exquisite. ——— Oh, and host’s doggies made sure to add to the experience ❤️

My stay here was truly unforgettable. Rai’s kindness and hospitality went far beyond anything I could have expected—she made me feel so cared for and welcome. Flight was delayed and I only managed to get to her airbnb close to midnight and she still waited for me. The food at her restaurant was absolutely delicious, made with love, and she even cooked for us on her off day (we felt so guilty sorry Rai). She has made us feel every meal like a gift. Room is always clean with fresh linens that reminds me of my caring mom who always cleans my room when i get back home. I’m deeply grateful for the warmth and generosity Rai shared during my visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone seeking not just a stay, but an experience filled with heart — I am still missing her and her dogs!!! 🐶

우붓시내에서 차로20분정도됩니다 시내다니기는조금멀지만 깨끗하고 친절합니다 음식도 너무나맛있습니다. 첫날 비행기 연착으로 늦어져 저녁식사할곳이없어 부탁했는데 도착시간맞추어 맛있고 따듯한음식으로 준비해주어 너무감동받았습니다 쿠부아궁 추천합니다

It was such a pleasure to stay at Villa Kubu Agung. The villas are beautiful, peaceful , and spotless. On top of that, Agung and all of her staff go above and beyond to take very good care of their guests- nothing is ever too much trouble. The food cooked by Agung at her wurung is some of the most delicious I have eaten in Indonesia. I’m grateful for my time there.

This is my 3rd time staying with Agung. My favorite place to stay in Bali by far. The restaurant on site has the best Indonesian and western foods cooked to order. I feel right at home at villa kubu agung. I am looking forward to the day I can return again.

Rai’s place has a way of making you feel at home. Rai is always around and it is so easy when you need to reach out. Spotless place, daily room cleaning, fresh linens every couple days. It is such a safe place, Rai and the team takes care of everything. They bring the laundry that I left outside to dry when it rains, even though it is not their responsibility and it is really such a sweet gesture. I never had to lock my door, I felt so at ease living here and knowing that I am never alone. Very grateful to Rai and the team and I will be back!

Tolle Unterkunft und tolles Essen

I could write a full essay about our wonderful stay at the place. We were working remotely while enjoying the peaceful area of Ubud, Bali. The room is clean, private, and peaceful - right next to rice fields. You wake up with sun lights and birds chirping! The best highlight is without a doubt Agung and her staff. They made us feel at home the moment we arrived! We love taking morning walk along the fields, and then breakfast at Agung's lovely kitchen with tasty coffee. The internet is stable and both of us can work in our spacious room (living room and balcony). Her staff are so welcoming and help to keep the place clean and comfy everyday. We were initially worried about getting food around but after tasting the most delicious dishes (nasi goreng, curry chicken and more!) from Agung's kitchen, I can say, confidently, Agung makes the best food in Ubud! I felt extremely lucky to have found Kubu Agung for my stay, and will always come back when I am in Ubud!

The beds were comfortable and we had a great view from our balcony. The meals at your the warung were delicious, as was the coffee. We even ordered our food at the warung and ate in in our room on the balcony, which was special. Also the scooters were great to hire and if you have a scooter it’s great and easy to get around. We would recommend this place 100% thank you!

Logement excentré est donc très calme. L’autre est super accueillante ainsi que les employés. La villa est magnifique plus belle que sur les photos. Il y a deux chiens qui sont adorables et super câlins 🤗. J’ai adoré ces journées ici et c’est sûr que je reviendrai. Aucun insecte, aucun lézard dans l’appartement. Tout sent extrêmement bon. Je dirais que le seul point négatif serait qu’on a l’impression que le vent rentre entre le toit et les murs de la chambre. Mise à part cela qui n’est d’ailleurs pas dérangeant plus que ça tout était parfait.

Die Gastgeberin ist ein herzensguter Mensch, hilfsbereit, freundlich und immer mit einem Lächeln zur Stelle. Das Apartment ist großzügig geschnitten und hatte ein sehr schönes Badezimmer. Wir haben uns gleich wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Apartment wurde jeden Tag gründlichst gereinigt. Der Pool war zudem sehr sauber. Die Gastgeberin besitzt zudem ein Restaurant, das viele vegetarische Optionen anbietet. Das Essen war unbeschreiblich lecker. Tun Sie sich einen Gefallen und buchen Sie diese Unterkunft.

Cet endroit est un havre de paix pour toutes les personnes souhaitant découvrir la région d'Ubud. Agung la propriétaire est une personne exceptionnelle et une très bonne cuisinière. Toujours à disposition pour quoi que ce soit, le personnel est vraiment parfait. Absolument rien à redire tout est parfait.

Le séjour était incroyable, Rai est une hôte formidable, l’équipe est toujours souriante et accueillante, je recommande vivement ce logement, il se situe à proximité d’Ubud et il y a à disposition des motos si besoin. La nourriture sur place est top, je recommande vivement le bol de fruit accompagné de yaourt et de miel.

Ein sauberes Hotel mit wirklich sehr liebenswerten Menschen. Das einzige Manko war die Lautstärke nachts aufgrund der Autos und den Hunden, aber sonst war wirklich alles super! Preise und Qualität des Essen war auch sehr gut! Ich würde nochmal kommen 😊

The place was huge and the people there were so lovely, they made sure I had everything I needed and I enjoyed every second of my stay. The view is amazing, the decor is really nice and the shower and bathroom are like taken out of a magazine. Would definitely stay there again if I get the chance!

Ria’s place was notably welcoming. Felt right at home. The villa was relaxing and tranquil while still just a little ride away from the areas best sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got my load of laundry done. Would recommend and book again.

Fantastic villa to stay in Ubud! The villa is located relatively close to the centre of Ubud. Which is extremely convenient. Rai Dalem and the team were extremely friendly hosts and she is also an extremely good cook! All the food we ordered was tasty and freshly made and reasonably priced. The rooms were also extremely clean, and beautifully decorated. The villa also offers a rental motorbike service or I highly recommend using a local driver who lives 5 minutes from this villa extremely friendly and helpful who won’t overcharge. It's by far the best apartment I've been in and the staff was really welcoming I enjoyed staying there alot if I have a chance to go back I'll for sure visit again well worth the price too I recommend it alot!

What a gem! Exceptional host with an exceptional staff. We stayed at Rai’s beautiful villa for one month. I would give Rai’s villa a 5 star rating. The property, the staff, and Rai as a host is unmatched! Beautiful views of the rice fields and volcanos Batur and Agung could be seen from our second floor balcony. Restaurant on premises with all meals prepared fresh and everything on the menu is delicious. I highly recommend a stay at Rai’s villas. If we ever make it back to Bali we will definitely stay at Rai’s again.

Ce qui fait de ce logement un endroit de rêve est tout d'abord la gentillesse d Agung et des 5 filles qui travaillent là, toujours souriantes et sympathiques. l'ambiance est familiale et chaleureuse, toujours de la bienveillance auprès des touristes et entre elles. L'appartement est spacieux, joliment décoré, et relativement calme . tout autour des rizières, des palmiers , des bananiers , donc entouré par la nature . Tout est toujours impeccable car les jeunes femmes sur place nettoient chambre et alentours tous les jours. Il faut absolument se faire masser par Ayu sur place , elle a des doigts de fée. ça a été dit et redit mais la cuisine d Agung est délicieuse ( tout est super bon ) , copieuse et très bon marché. On est à la fois tranquille et au calme , avec une présence discrète quand cela est nécessaire. Donc un bel endroit, avec de belles personnes

I had a wonderful 3 weeks stay at Villa Agung. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and Agung and her staff are truly amazing, friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant is worth a separate review - plenty of vegetarian options and everything is delicious!

Everything was fine. When you had a Problem, it was solved immediately. You feel like getting Home to your Mother.

In Bali, the places, people, everything you find is good! You may easily find a villa but finding the best Host is a gift! Rai Dalem ( Our Agung! ) was the best Host we ever had. She made the place a home to us. 1) A Wonderful villa to stay 2) An awesome restaurant within the premises serving delicious food. (Where local and international guests are charged the same) 3) A helping hand in anything and everything. 4) Culture exchange sessions 5) Transportation facilities ( Good Cars and scooters at normal price) To Summarise, the stay experience was a blessing to us! We absolutely LOVED our stay here. We spent a month at Rai's place and there's absolutely nothing that could have been better. The apartment is great, looking exactly as in the pics if not better. It has everything you need for the comfortable stay, even a longer one, and is cleaned daily by the villa staff. The internet connection is great, the view from the balcony overlooking the rice fields is something, the pool is awesome and most importantly the personnel is amazing - we felt so welcome at this place. All our questions and needs were taken care of instantly. On-site restaurant deserves a separate comment - the food by Agung is delicious. As vegetarians we had plenty of options and were never bored or disappointed :) This stay started our visit to Bali and I am very happy we found this place, since it was a real highlight of our trip. We will definitely stay again if back to the island and I am happy to recommend this place wholeheartedly if you came across it and still hesitate.

Mi tiempo en Kubu Agung fue de descubrimientos y asombro, cada mañana cuando apenas estaba asomando la luz, el Sagrado Monte Agung se perfilaba en la distancia de forma nítida y majestuosa, luego los tonos naranja y rosa se confundían con el azul profundo y el amarillo incandescente mostrando así toda su Belleza iluminando los arrozales, así fue mi despertar cada día, el lugar es espacioso con un balcón que permite que puedas ser parte de los colores del cielo y de las Terrazas de Arroz. Cada día aparecen Komang o Ayu para hacer la limpieza, cambiar sabanas y toallas, reponer agua etc, cada una con una sonrisa deslumbrante, Agung la dueña de la Villa, además de muchas bondades, también tiene la capacidad de ensamblar un buen equipo de trabajo con ellas y con sus sobrinos Artha y Putra, cualquier cosa que necesites tendrá solución y además con una gran disposición y una gran sonrisa, hay mucha alegría y respeto por la privacidad también, entre las bondades de Agung (que son muchas) está la de cocinar delicioso (no únicamente lo que aparece en la carta de menu) el Curry es un deleite y el Banana Bread también!!! Agung es una mujer admirable con un corazón de Oro, que hará lo necesario para que tengas una estancia Feliz.

Agung and her staff are what makes this place! They are all beyond helpful and always smiling and trying to help. The food is very affordable and tastes great. I got hooked on the curry, banana pancake and banana bread. The location is very beautiful. The villas are nestled between the jungle and the rice fields and you really get an authentic Balinese experience. If you drive a scooter the location is great, if not you will have to find someone to drive you. But the good thing is that Villa Kubu Agung fixes that, too. And again.... very affordable. I spent two months in the villa and truly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings with palm trees blowing softly in the wind, rice field views, colorful flowers, traditional offerings that are laid out, and the people. Your room gets cleaned every day and you will get to know the staff in a heartbeat. I had the balcony room and loved waking up and taking my morning coffee overlooking those rice fields. Rai is such a lovely host! The location is not far from Ubud and very peaceful. They have an on site restaurant with fantastic Nasi Goreng and if needed, there are also scooters available for rent for a fair price.

Stayed just for one night. Everything was just great! Dalem is very helpful and very sweet, plus she cooks amazing. I strongly recommend to eat at the place. Feels like home ! Thank you for everything!

this villa is absolutely beautiful! very spacious and clean! the staff are amazing and super friendly as well as Dalma and Micky (their gorgeous doggies) not in Ubud central so this accommodation has thought of everything. they have a vehicle and driver as well as scooters to hire out. the view from our villa was spectacular over looking the rice fields. taxi only cost us roughly 50k into the centre. the swimming pool is also very clean. Overall the villa is highly recommended.

Agung’s villa was even better than expected and was mine and my partner’s favourite stay in Bali 🤍 highly recommend and would definitely come back! The location is perfect, not too far from Ubud but just far enough to have some peace and quiet. The room was serviced everyday and having a full, clean apartment was really wonderful. And Agung’s cooking is also delicious! She’s an amazing host and goes the extra mile to ensure her guests are happy, thank you so much Agung :)

Well, where do we start! This is mine and my girlfriends first time in Bali on a long term stay and nerves were heightened. Rays’s nephew collected us from the airport and was so welcoming! When we arrived at Villa Kubu Aggung we erred greeted with Rai (The Host) infectious smile and beautiful energy! Our villa was so spacious with gas hob to make our own food if we wished. Amazing air conditioning and a beautiful layout with large sized bathroom and beautiful spa like shower! The shared pool is cleaned everyday with beautiful views of the rice fields. Rai’s cooking deserves a paragraph alone! Rai cooks with love and we realised looking for places to eat every night was pointless when we had a restraunt right downstairs with an amazing cooking and out of this world cooking! Rai would sit and talk to us about different things to do in Bali/culture. Koman cleans the room every day to perfection and is a lovely person! Overall our monthly stay here in Ubud could not have been any better without this amazing accommodation and the beautiful people who work here! I would highly recommend this accommodation to any type of stay, a week, a month or even a year. The atmosphere here is simply beautiful 🤩 we are very sad to be leaving!

We spent 1 month in this beautiful place and we are very satisfied. I recommend to anyone want to be in peaceful and living in a very quite and clean houses.. the place has 3 private “apartments “ which are fully equipped and a shared swimming pool . The owner has a restaurant just behind the villa ( with affordable and delicious food ) so if you’re lazy to go out you can just ask her ^^ .. I really appreciated spending my time there and there’s a nice lady who makes the apartment very clean every day . It was a perfect service 👌 Also the owner is a specialist of baking cakes and I very recommend the brownies!! It’s so delicious. Thank you for this moment and I hope we will meet soon again.

I had an amazing stay in Ubud. Kubu Agung Villa was just the perfect spot to relax after a whole day exploring what Mother Nature gave to Balinese people. The apartment is spacious, clean and well equipped. I love spending time on the balcony overviewing rice paddies. Ibu Agung is a very friendly, welcoming and considerate person. Very easy to communicate with and prompt responses. I had dinner once in her Warung located in front of the villa. Yummy food and large portions :-) Thanks Agung for the comfortable stay. I just felt like at home.
